Wow! The best picture now has amazing sound!!

Let me start by saying that I am a hardcore skeptic. Im never one to buy into marketing ploys or the newest tech gimmicks. I prefer to make my own conclusions, usually involving overly extensive research and always only after some actual hands on with the product. That being said, boy did LG out do themselves with the new C1! If you're reading this review I will assume you already know that OLED is by far the best picture quality on the current market. The LG C1 is as good as gets without going into the luxury tier. As with all OLED panels the picture is second to none. But where the C1 really shines is inside the unit. There are a mind numbing ways to fine tune and customize your viewing experience to exactly suit your viewing environment and content. Integrated AI can adjust picture and sound based what you're watching and where you're TV is located. Connects seamlessly to the next gen Xbox Series X console without any issues literally just plug and play and all advanced functions are working perfectly including the elusive Dolby Vison for gaming @120hz!! Supports just about any and all streaming services and the new updated WebOs operating system is still just as slick and smooth yet deep and customizable as ever. This year's model has a few new additions including Flim Maker mode and the very nifty new Game Optimizer mode. The build quality is exceptional as well. The back and base are made of metal and the rest from dense solid plastic that feels like metal. This thing is solid and looks sleek and pretty. However it is quite heavy. All this is great and the new though not groundbreaking are very nice. However, thats what expect from an Lg OLED. The real surprise and to me the biggest upgrade from previous models is the sound. Why aren't people talking about this more!? Maybe since this model is so new. Even LG in my opinion could do a lot more to focus and promote this hugely improved quality. I was just blown away with the quality and depth of the internal speakers. With Dolby Atmos integrated and easy Bluetooth connectivity as well as ability to synch with mobile devices and wireless headsets everything you need is there. And it all works. Put it this way I already had a slightly older $500 7.1 surround Samsung Theater speaker system in room, but after testing the Tv didn't bother hooking it up! The internal sound quality with active Dolby Atmos is only slightly weaker than my expensive theater system. And the benfit along with cleaner look of not having all those speakers all around the place was worth the trade off. All things considered if you can afford it this is by the best TV on the market for 2021. I would recommend it anyone.

    Awesome TV

Incredible TV. ( 55'' C1) I use it for streaming and gaming (Xbox Series X and PC). Setup was not difficult but not extremely easy. It does everything well exceedingly so far. The quality is perfect. Airplay works fine too. For PC g-synch worked fine with 3080. Highly recommended if you want a state of the art TV.

Note: I only have it for a few days so my views might change.

WARNING! Once you go OLED nothing else will do

After finally purchasing my dream gaming TV, a group of pixels turned super white creating a vertical and horizontal line. Pixel Refresher helped a little, but I was concerned this could happen again so instead of just replacing it, I returned the C1 and exchanged it for the QN90A. Unfortunately, it only took a couple of hours with the Samsung to regret my decision. There's just no comparison. Mini LED just can't compare to the contrast of an OLED. I'll be returning the QN90A tomorrow and picking up another C1.

LG OLED is solid. Wait for sale.

Great picture. Deep blacks and nice improvement in sound over prior generation. It supports Apple AirPlay which is a nice improvement over the 2018 model.

I have owned LG, Samsung and Vizio units. This is by far the nicest overall. Most of the unit is wafer thin except the lower portion that is about 2.5” thick.

My only regret is that is went on sale for $1299 Just after my return window. I paid $1499.

    Torn in two

I’m very torn writing this review. I truly love the picture quality of this OLED, blacks and contrast are definitely unmatched. I have always had Samsung QLED TVs but decided to go the OLED route since they reign supreme. In my opinion Samsung’s processor and user interface are worlds apart and worlds better than LG, which is heartbreaking. I wish they made a hybrid between both brands lol. My Samsung has much faster response, no lag transitioning between apps and has a lot more customizable settings than the LG. If OS and UI doesn’t bother you go with the LG, for me ease of use matters so I’ll be sacrificing my perfect picture to get a new QLED and deal with a good quality picture and amazing OS. Also, worth noting, for women like me who have long nails it’s absolutely impossible to use LGs magic remote since the “ok” button is so recessed. Aside from this I do really love and appreciate the OLED, just not for me personally. Hopefully in the future Samsung comes out with an OLED panel or LG can really upgrade their OS and remotes. We shall see!

    It’s………Aight…..

Honestly……it’s a great TV….as far as picture quality is concerned… when streaming content on all the major apps the picture quality shines! I have only played video games in 4K on the XBOX ONE X…. And…….the experience was pretty solid! However I enjoy playing the Series S on the television more so… even though the graphics on the Series S do the TV no justice! I simply have to wait to get my hands on a Series X to know how I really feel. Until then my friends…… it’s not a bad investment, but I wish I would have did more research!

    It’s a good buy

I brought a new tv for my husband to replace a tv that broke. He loves it, the picture is clear. It changes picture settings when you switch to games.

Only bad things is other people can connect to your tv. It should be a password or a firewall to prevent people to connect to the tv. Please assist if this can be prevented. Other then that we have had it for one month and so far so good.

Very Good Set at a Fair Price.

This is a nice 55” set. I have it hooked to my router via Ethernet and my Apple TV via HDMI. It calibrated fairly evenly and has very good/accurate color. The internal speakers are OK, but are lacking low end response. Apple Home Pod to the rescue and now my wife is thrilled. The only complaint is during the day, the picture is not as bright as it should be. But in a darkened room the picture very good.

The remote is easy to use and my wife prefers it to the Apple TV remote. It was easy for the LG remote to learn the Apple remote functions.

    Good TV. Odd feature

This LG TV is excellent. We originally bought a Samsung but it had weird shadows in the upper left corner. You should know that any of these smart HD TV's have an odd feature when watching 4K or other high resolution streaming. In order to keep the blacks black, they need to pull up the other areas that are not black resulting in an annoying area on the screen. The Samsung we returned had something else... something that was not working on the screen correctly. The LG was doing what it was supposed to do so we just live with it.

The best TV I have ever owned. If you can spend a little extra, pull the trigger on this one. Gaming is unparalleled, regular content looks fantastic, and movies look amazing. The only con in my case is the included stand makes it almost impossible to use a sound bar (on the same surface level). However, the stock speakers sound great.

I have seen a few review about how this TV may not be a good idea for a bright room, but it looks great in my bright window filled living room. I have been using the Apple TV 4K and the PS5 mostly for content and it is just amazing. Enough of this love fest, I need to go watch AEW Dynamite. Love y’all.

    OLED FOR LIFE

This is the life! So the upscaling from a DVD or Blu-ray disk is absolutely incredible, dvd looks like a blu ray content, a blu ray looks almost like a 4 k disk and a 4K disk looks real life! I had the CX OLED n the C1 is so much better, brighter, better upscaling. Check my YouTube channel for a review on content and I also have a video demonstrating an XBOX SERIES X, I love it and will never buy an LCD tv ever again, OLED FOR LIFE

    Best TV Ever!

I finally bought my dream tv this year when it went on sale for $1799. I am so happy with this TV. I honestly didn't calibrate it and just turned motion smoothing off and the Game Optimizer setting. PS5 games looks incredible and plays so well there is zero input lag. I have never seen video games with such detail and vibrancy! Movies and TV shows in HDR looks phenomenal as well!

Sound quality is pretty good especially if keep it on the TV stand. It loses a bit when you wall mount it.

LG OS is good as well but I barely use it since I watch most of my shows on the PS5. So not much to complain about.

Overall I am super happy with this TV. I am glad I caught the sale and I will probably be satisfied for at least 3-5 years!

    Great TV

This TV is top of the line in my book,. The OLED picture is incomparable. The Smart TV features have been great to use.

The only downside I've run into is weak written documentation, both for setup and operation. The multi-language pictographs included for setup were incomprehensible. The online help wasn't much better. The downloadable operator's manual is better, but hard to find.

    Gaming tv

This is my first OLED and this tv does not disappoint. If you combine your next gen gaming with a quality sound bar like the Sonos arc the sky’s the limit. I’m not a fan of webos but if you get a 4K fire stick makes for a smoother OS experience.

    Great

I like it for gaming and regular tv watching. It has great colors, although it needs to be calibrated. I did a simple calibration I saw on YouTube by turning it to vivid and turning off the blue light setting. The blue looks nice too though. I was playing a Ps5 game, assassins creed black flag. Older game. And it was a noticeable difference switching from my older qled to this oled. Definitely recommend this tv.

These are a few pics from YouTube I just took on my phone for the review lol. It definitely looks better in person. But I hope this helps a bit. =)

    My first OLED

The TV is elegantly displayed and surprisingly built very sturdily though it is mostly glass thin. The most noticeable thing when unboxing the TV was the thinness of the screen and how LG has found a way to shrink the electronic component footprint on the OLED TVs.

The screen is impressive to look at out of the box, and once you have it powered on, it's just jaw-dropping. Everyone who has seen this TV in my home has mentioned it makes you feel like you're immersed in whatever is on the screen.

The OLED technology is impressive, and LG seems to keep things exciting in their OLED lineup. As a person who loves movies, video games, and sports, this TV has made me enjoy all my old movies again with its 4K upscaling ability.

As for hardware mounting compatibility, the TV includes 2 feet if you choose to use it on a stand, or it can mount on a VESA compatible bracket. The remote control is a slightly revised version of the traditional LG bracket remotes. Though it looks like more of a traditional remote, it still has the pointer on-screen feature support.

The built-in sound is nice and can be enhanced by connecting to a Bluetooth soundbar or a surround sound setup. With the ARC HDMI support, this TV provides an enjoyable visual and audio experience.

Below are a few things wish it had and highlights I'm enjoying.

    I wish it had:

-One more HDMI port for a total of 4

-Having the vesa mounting holes a bit more center of the screen and not near the bottom.

    Highlights:

    -The colors are amazing

    -Game mode

    -Setup was simple

    Awesome OLED TV

Long waited LG TV has arrived. The TV seems to be heavy to carry for level 2 residents. Excited about our 55inch TV. While unboxing the TV, found that it has a stunning thin profile for an OLED TV, the screen is thinner than any smartphone on the market. The screen does have a Wow factor to it. The TV is included with a Stand, with 2 feet that should be screwed into the base of the TV screen. Once we set up the TV with the stand, it looks like a very smart tv with an extremely thin screen, bazel free, mirrors effect, and anti-glare coating. The picture quality of the OLED TV is stunning .. didn't disappoint me for movies and binge series watching. The remote control is fine and has all the required buttons to navigate through. The audio has stereo speakers built-in, and they're relatively good for movies and binge series watch. We can sync the TV to the soundbar if needed as well. There are 3 HDMI cable ports for this TV. Cons: The apps are quite small compared to other content panels on the home page. Remote being old-fashioned Pros: Lightweight Sleek Audio is good Stylish I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest opinion .

    Affordable OLED that Delivers

We had an older M-series Vizio before purchasing this LG that began to have backlight problems after only 3 years. We decided to spend a little more on our next TV to avoid that issue again.

I've always known how amazing OLED panels look, but they were never in a realistic price range for me (and most consumers, I think). We were on the fence between this OLED and a Sony LED tv. Both were the same price, but the Sony came with some additional goodies (i.e. high-refresh rate, brighter, etc.). Since we don't do much gaming on our TV, we went for the OLED. The LG A1 has seriously impressed. After a few weeks, we are still blown away by the contrast of the OLED.

    Pros:

    - TV is very thin and built well

    - LG webOS is very good, and their remote is amazing. I didn't

know what I was missing until I got their pointer remote. It's like

a mouse for your TV (reminds me of a wii remote).

    - The insane contrast makes even mundane scenes look

amazing. The color also really pops.

    - 1080p content upscaling looks excellent.

    - For an OLED, the price is good value (assuming it holds up).

    - Viewing angles are perfect. You can sit anywhere in the room

and see the content perfectly (benefit of OLED)

    Cons:

    - I wish the TV came in a slightly smaller size. 55in is nearly too

big for our space, but we're in a unique scenario where we have

to put it in a corner.

    - The TV doesn't get quite bright enough for really good HDR.

This can also be an issue if you have lots of sunlight coming

into your living room. It's never dark.... but it also doesn't get

    THAT bright.

    - Burn-in risk.... but this applies to all OLEDs. We don't watch any

static content or content with static banners...so no issue for

    us.

Overall, we're very satisfied with the TV. It's hard to see just how good OLED looks in a picture, but hopefully the photo helps. Crossing our fingers that it works much longer than our Vizio did.

    Amazing quality picture ❤️

The picture is beyond words, and the Geek Squad were knowledgeable, patient and very professional. They showed me what it could do, and I am not computer savoy. Thank goodness my daughter was here and totally understood what they were talking about.

I couldn’t be happier with the product, the installation or Best Buy service. I will always buy there 1st from now on.

    AWESOME TV !

O-M-G ! This is the best TV ever ! First, the picture is awesome. Sometimes it looks like 3D, like it's coming out of the screen. They give you 4 different ways to change the channel. Someone put a lot of thought into the way the remote is set up - it's so easy to use. One thing I found by accident is there is a thumbwheel in the middle of the remote and you can change channels with it as slow or as fast as you want ! Sound quality is very good. My last TV had such bad sound output that a soundbar and equalizer could not give you decent sound - it was a Toshiba 50 inch. It has a button to give you a menu of over the air channels letting you find what you want quickly. We mainly use a giant antenna for most of our channels and get 84 stations with this and the channel search is quite fast. My mom bought a 50 inch QLED Samsung and it sucks. The remote is hard to use and you had to pair the remote with the TV just to use it. Oh, and the voice command function is great - it understands every word I say and is quite smart in knowing what I want to do. You will love this TV !

Great OLED with 98% of the features you'd want.

Fantastic OLED, and while it has less gaming features than the C1 and CX series, it's far and above greater than any LCD offered today. OLEDs have consistently been better across just about every metric. We had originally bought an Q6 Samsung tv, but we ended up with lots of movement artifacts and blur after calibrating color. It just couldn't handle darker scenes (and that's separate from worse blacks, as you'd expect). This LG A1 Series checks all the boxes and comes in less than other OLED offerings that only provide a few additional features. If you're upgrading a TV and just want a great picture. If you're comparing against QLED/LCD in this price point, select this one! - You can't go wrong here!

    Good switch from backlit TVs

Overall a good TV. Hard to compare to my last TV as that was a backlit Sony vs. this OLED LG. In terms of interface, I preferred the Sony version a bit more -- but that could be because I'm still getting used to LG's webOS. That said, I paired an OTT box with both as that tends to be my preference anyway.

The picture is sharp when watching sports, playing games, and especially when watching movies.

    Overall, I'd buy again.

Fantastic TV - But you need friends to install it.

This is the first new TV that I have bought in 10 years.

I researched this TV and purchased it because it is currently the best set for next generation gaming with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and four HDMI 2.1 ports. The input lag is minimal as well. Playing a game like Thumper which requires quick actions was no problem.

The picture quality is excellent and the set is very premium as it should be for the cost. Even in a lit room, the picture is still sharp with minimal glare.

I went to calibrate it using the THX optimizer and there were minimal adjustments to be made.

The speakers on the TV don't get very loud but I do have a Soundbar that connects via ARC so that I can still get premium sound without losing the benefits of HDMI 2.1

The UI on the TV is pretty sluggish and I only use it to switch to gallery mode to protect the screen while it's on (OLED is prone to burn in so you want to take care of your TV set) I do wish that you could use your own images instead of the provided ones.

The installation process was a bit tricky since the TV is so large - the included mount is designed to have the TV fit flush to the wall however getting the two small bolts on the back of the TV to fit into the wall mount was tricky even with two people handling the TV.

Also it's not really said in the manual, but you will need a recessed outlet box for the TV to fit flush with the wall. I put all my cables through the wall for a very clean finish- the TV looks like a picture frame. I do wish that I had set the recessed box a bit lower because the HDMI cables do bring the TV a bit off the wall, but when I put other framed art around it, it shouldn't be noticeable.

Overall - I would recommend this TV to anyone who plans to mount to the wall - if you are using a TV stand - I would go with the C1 instead since the G1 does not include a stand.

    Worth the money.

Hanging perfectly on the wall, this 65” TV was an excellent choice. Our previous 40” was an LCD and ten years old. Yes it is expensive, relative to other TV’s probably just as nice for most viewers. We wanted the latest, greatest, with very good reviews on the internet for our replacement. This G1 fit the requirements. We’re hanging it like a picture on the wall, not with a swivel mount. It’s sort of difficult to accurately attach the TV to the bracket, even with positioning tape markers included. Be prepared to ask two friends to help you: one to help hold and the other to stand on a ladder, looking over the top, to help line up the TV into the bracket locks.

Please realize that what you see on the store demo, is generally TV’s set to the brightest, contrasts, sharpest picture settings. We were unsure how standard HD would look “up rezed” to 65”. I was amazed! If you take some time and tone down the TV to reality, you’ll still appreciate the depth of detail in both the blacks and whites. I started with the “cinema” setting, went network to network, and played with the individual settings within “cinema” to give me what I wanted in a TV. I’m in the TV production business. My viewing requirements might be very different than your’s. If so, you’ll still be happy with this TV’s preset picture settings.

    Beautiful TV GORGEOUS PICTURE

Best TV I’ve owned by far period end of story. This is my first oled tv and I couldn’t be more happy easy to use and understand. The no gap wall mount included in the box plus all the other goodies this TV offers did it for me, my decision was between this and the A90J from Sony. Both great but this one is almost a 1000 dollars cheaper so no brainer. Definitely recommend it 100%.

Best TV for Your PS5 or Xbox Series X

This tv is top of the line when it comes to quality. You can game 4K with 120 FPS. As well it is a must that you choose to watch your streaming apps through your this tv. You can see the difference when you watch Netflix through the app of the tv apart from a fire stick or even your gaming console. As well it’s great that HBO Max is finally available to download. If your looking for a tv that is great for this generation of gaming then look no further than this beauty.

    LG G1 is Perfection

Don't get fooled with Sony and Samsung's "Trick or Treat" gimmicks. I purchased the Flagship Sony A90J 55inch and was sooooo let down with pretty much everything it offered that I returned it for an even bigger Upgrade the Flagship Qn900A Samsung 65 8k set. I very much love Samsung and never had any problems with any tvs over the years until this 8k set. The 8k is amazing, its the best picture quality hands down. But there is limited 8k content and the Screen had this Strange yellowish circular ball that was offset in the center of the screen That ruined the TV for me and for anyone else that would get this model. Plus it had this strange dimming feature that was never active but yet the screen would dim itself so low yet dim itself so low out of nowhere it was only on a few settings I believe it was standard in cinema and I made sure that none of the ecosystems were on and they were off! I had nothing adjusting the brightness but yet the glitch of the TV would automatically adjust to the room so that was another reason to ditch the TV. Then I got the Best overall Tv ever the LG G1 65inch. Its perfection in everyway possible. It takes your breath away every time your watching or using the TV. After adjusting a few settings the TV was perfect! Plays Call of Duty the best out of all the sets Sony would be the 2nd best. Films and movies on the G1 are are so amazing that when compared to Sony and Samsung it destroys them even but together it will destroy them the overall picture quality on the G1 is something to behold if you are gonna spend any money on upgrading your TV and you're thinking about the Sony or Samsung trust me you want to get the LG G1 you will be disappointed in fine errors and Sony and Samsung sets like I did. I didn't want to find any errors on those sets but they were flawed. Plus the Sony TVI purchased didn't come with the flagship sticker that's on the TV which I thought was very strange considering watching all the reviews of the T v's on YouTube that every TV had the flagship sticker on it and since mine didn't and I even called Sony and then never returned my phone call and the guy on the phone told me that that was very strange that every TV that you buy should have that flagship sticker on it and since it didn't that I was gonna get a phone call back that never happened I never have received a phone call from Sony they must not care about their customers because they don't care about me at all They never even called. Thankfully Best Buy and the Magnolia team handled everything so well that made my experience so much more greater than it could be. I had major problems with both of my tvs (the Sony and Samsung) I went in there and Matt and the crew handled all the returns so well that I would recommend buying anything from those guys and if you ever had any problems with anything you can trust in the team there! Great job to the Bestbuy and Magnolia Crew for helping and being great at what they do.

    Freaking phenomenal

I mean, just look at this picture. It looks that good, or even better, in person. When art is showing, I often just stop to marvel at how good it looks.

This TV saved our marriage. I seriously didn't want some huge black square taking up this part of the living room. I wanted art instead. My wife, though, absolutely wanted a TV here. Technology caught up at exactly the right time.

Our wall above the fireplace has a niche for the bracket. With this model, that actually isn't normally necessary because it comes with a flat bracket that mounts on the top center. BUT, our wall doesn't have studs in the right place. So the installers (who were amazing) figured out a way to use an alternate bracket that fits in the niche and can mount to the studs.

    Fantastic!

I was the proud owner of a 55" LG C7. This TV replaced it and I do not regret it. The picture is stunning on anything on it from 4K down. Wall Mount is small so I hit one stud on the left side but had to use wall anchors for the right. It does not come with Hardware you need to mount it to a sheet rock wall.

First power on setup was easy, it found everything hooked to it on it's own, it has more features than my C7 had. Plus more steaming services built in.

Sound: It is very weak and not up to the standard of the TV. Either buy a good soundbar ($1000+) or hook it to your Home theater. That is what I did, I have an LG SJ9 but it had HDMI issues connecting to the ARC port so I was constantly having to change the input on the soundbar. The TV ARC is connected to my Marantz reciever, turns it on and off when the TV turns on and off.

I had my C7 professionally calibrated. Now this TV comes with preset video setting from ISF for both light and dark rooms!

The C1 is a great TV for the price but if you want to go a step up then get this TV. It is worth it and you will get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Feed it a good signal!!!

    Absolute best gaming TV ever!

Let me start this review off by going right at everyone's fear that want to buy an Oled TV but fear the word "Burn in" by stating the history of OLED TVs I've owned. I am a heavy gamer and my tv is on for over 8+ hrs a day between my little one, my wife and then myself gaming at night. I had a C6 that developed burn in after 2 years (roughly 8000 hrs in) gaming heavy and not understanding the whole "burn in effect". My warranty replacement was the C8 and I gamed even longer and harder on this set and had 0 burn in effects. The company has made huge strides in helping almost eliminate this from happening. Can it happen if you leave a static image on screen for hours upon hours, weeks after weeks, months after months? Yes! But knowing this and just in generally speaking, not many people watch the same thing every day for hours on end without mixing it up? It's very rare with these current models because of all the tools LG added to the TV like Screen shift, Screen saver, Logo Luminanve Adjuster and Pixel Refresher. You do not have to worry about burn in with these new sets.

First off, the picture quality is top notch. I dont think there is another tv on the market (especially at $2800) that produces this level of on screen beauty. Color accuracy, pure black levels really make the colors pop off the screen, amazing contrast, etc... Anyone who says these tvs dont get bright enough have not sat in front of the tv. Its blinding! The HDR is beautiful! The upscaling is the best this series has ever had to offer. I believe they stressed the new A9 gen 3 chip was heavily focused on improving the upscaling, and you can really see it with this model (especially coming from a C8). The AI Picture and Sound features are huge upgrades and the great thing about them is you get to see a first hand example of their effects in the tv setup options. The AI picture mode really does a great job with human faces. The AI sound mode really helps single out the talking over the loud background sounds. In general it makes the tv so much louder at lower volume settings.

Now on to the reason I wanted this TV so bad and what makes this tv the best in the business. It is designed to be a gaming tv. Usually when you think Oled, you are thinking about a high quality 4k movie watching tv. Well now not only is it that, but now it's a top notch gaming tv that easily rivals the best gaming monitors out there. It is fully future proof for the new systems coming. The tv has HDMI 2.1 which the new systems will take advantage of. It has insanely low response times with 4k 120hz BFI (Black Frame Insertion. It comes with built in Nvidia G sync and VRR. The Xbox X currently let's you use VRR and auto low latency on this tv along with 1440P 120 if desired.

Graphically it's the best looking tv I've ever gamed on. The HDR lighting is much improved from my C8. I think because this set gets a bit brighter than my C8. It also has Dynamic tone mapping which adds a beautiful little extra brightness to your game picture quality (if you prefer it). And it also has HGIG but as far as I understand, not many games use it currently so I notice the lighting still looks better with Dynamic Tone Mapping alone without the HGIG. Also I notice in faster moving games that I have more control. Like in NHL Hockey 20 and Call of Duty, I can actually feel a difference in what I assume to be the better response time with VRR and Auto low latency checked on. I'm not sure what exactly technology is working here but all I can say is what I physically feel. And it's an improvement from my C8. (More control) I cant imagine how it's only gonna get better as the new systems are improving these areas.

I must apologize for all the things I've left out, like the amazing operating system WebOS which is silly smooth and fast controlled by the magic remote (which is like a Wii remote you point and click). Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, HDR 10.

All in all, I highly and strongly recommend this tv for anyone looking to upgrade. If you are a movie buff or a gamer, this tv is a no brainers. The best part is it is close to $1000 cheaper than its usual release price. Kudos to LG for getting it out with a great price point. Get this tv and enjoy its beauty!

Pictures I post dont do it justice. My camera cannot capture the detail and it add blooming that is not visible on my tv. Black is black!

    Love love live this tv

Had been using a Sony Bravia x900e 49" tv for the past year or so but i didnt like the halo effect i would get on a dark image. Decided to upgrade to an OLED and omfg i love this tv. From the look to the images this tv is a beast. Legit two other people in my family have now bought this tv after seeing mine. There's nothing to think about just by it. You will need two people to get it in place though. Screen is thinner than a pencil so an extra hand is a must. You will no regret your purchase you have my word. I honestly regretted the sony the entire time i had it. Send the 2,200 and save yourself an extra tv upgrade. I will not need an upgrade until 8k is were 4k is now. Only suggestion is maybe wait till February for the 2021 line up and the CX should be at least 300-500 dollars cheaper

    Totally happy!

More amazing than the reviews. And when people say thin, we’re talking like those cartoon fish that turn sideways and the you can’t see them thin. It is quite sturdy, and my wife and I got it hung without incident. It’s literally an inch or so too big for the space we have and we’ve both plowed into the side of it without damage to the tv. You’re not buying this model for the sound quality so do invest in a sound bar. No idea why reviewers complain about the mouse function on the remote. I find it works great.

My only complaint is of the malcontented guy at Best Buy who brought out our tv. He refused to put it in our car because it would be in its side. He told us to rent a truck! We put it in our car ourselves and guess what? It was packaged appropriately to be driven home. I hope he’s found another line of work.

THE BEST GAMING TV EVER!!!! (4K DISCS TOO)!

WOW. I've had a high end Samsung LED QUHD TV for four years now and after turning this baby on, WOW. You cannot get better than this. I popped in God of War on my PS5 and was blown away. LoTRs in 4k looked amazing too. The blacks are black as night. This TV just disappears in dark scenes and the contrast with brights and colors - WOAH. I waited/searched for 4 months until this TV came back in stock and let me tell you - it was worth the wait. 12/10!

The Best TV Of The Year!

If you want deep blacks and infinite contrast with the best viewing angles than any other TV, This LG CX is a beauty to watch; I’m loving it. Let me add to this; it has 4 hdmi 2.1 ports at 4K 120hz with Freesync and G-sync, Dolby Atmos/Vision and as well HDR, Apple AirPlay and smart commands with Alexa and Google. The LG CX is fully loaded.

    Amazing!

This is an amazing TV. Perfect color and blacks. Have had for over a year now with no problems. Use with a Firestick 4k. Very scary to install. Screen is so thin. We ended up placing the base on a stand then lifting the panel into place. Still married :-)

Best gaming tv for me. Still in 2021

All my tvs are now LG CX, better than the 2021 model, save the money, this 2020 now I have in 48 for my pc, 55 for my kid’s room, 65 for my room and 77 for the living room, if you have a next gen console, no better than Oled gaming at 120hz Dolby vision

    Must buy

There is no doubt this is the king of TVs in America. To think I was going to get something else! Everything from the ease of use and setup to it literally being ready for PS5 out of the box was phenomenal. LG has really taken a lot of steps to prevent burn in across all content, too.

LG C1 is better for similar price

Don't mean to be snarky but for the same price, LG's own OLED C1 is far superior in every way from picture quality to gaming features. This is a good enough TV but not when it's priced the same as the C1 for $1800. Blacks and contrast simply aren't as good as the OLED.

    MY Best Television Purchase EVER!!!

I upgraded to this tv from my previous 2019 LG OLED tv which was in perfect working order, but I have the new Sonos Arc sound bar which isn't compatible in giving me the True ARC sound I wanted from the 2019 OLED. So I upgraded to this CX series which has the compatibility of the Sonos Arc and I wasn't disappointed! The TV is awesome as the previous but when I combined it with the soundbar....OMG!!!! I'll never go to another movie theater ever again.. why should I when I have one with surround sound right in my own living room. This is a great purchase!

    Amazing Desktop Screen

Using this TV as a desktop monitor. It replaced a high end 55" Samsung and what a difference. Once you get it dialed in for the PC the performance is amazing. I have a high end video card but it doesn't have enough bandwidth to feed this TV's HDMI 2.1 capability so now I can't wait for the latest PC video cards to purchase one so I can unleash the real power of this already amazing screen performance.

    Highly Recommended!

QUALITY, GAMING, 120HZ, LOW LATENCY, BEAUTIFUL TV

I was lucky enough to pick up a PS5 and a Series X. I had an older Samsung 4k. I needed to upgrade to a better TV to take advantage of hdmi 2.1 4k 120hz. This TV is absolutely stunning. Playing 4K @120hz is an amazing experience. I'm a very big gamer and this TV meets all of my needs and truly takes advantage of the latest technology available. 4K 120hz all 4 hdmi ports, low latency, OLED is beautiful, true blacks, rich colors, just a phenomenal TV. Even thought this is s 2020 TV, i have no regrets and i didn't want to wait for a 2021 model. I purchased a 5yr geek squad warranty, i highly recommend doing so. Yes it's pricy but being OLED, burn in could be an issue in the future. I don't know as i've only owned the TV for 4months thus far and no issues. But purchasing a warranty gives me peace of mind knowing i'm covered for the next 5yrs should something happen. You don't have to be a gamer to appreciate this TV. Although i do game A LOT, i also use this TV for Netflix, HBO Max, YouTube, Prime, etc. Dolby Atmos and DolbyVision is beautiful. I can't recommend this TV enough. Please note, this is my first LG TV. LG, you earned a fan here. keep up the great quality products coming like this one.

An industry-best panel plagued by LG firmware

Simply put, the panel in this TV is one of the best on the consumer market right now, but if you're reading this, you probably already know that. The GX models are exactly the same as the CX internally, with the main difference being the physical exterior. These GX displays are very thin and designed to fit flush against a wall. We purchased the 65 inch model (and also the matching LG GX Soundbar, reviewed separately).

The aesthetics of this TV once wall-mounted are stunning (see pictures). Of note, is if you don't want to wall mount it, you need to purchase the legs separately (which I believe also contains the back panels for the cable management compartments, not included in the main TV box). Even though the TV is thin, it's very heavy and requires two strong people to safely wall mount. The proprietary wall mount is also rather confusing to install. If you're installing into drywall with studs, know that the mount is made for 16 inch studs, with almost no adjustment for deviation, so if you're trying to center it somewhere, take that into account. The cable management in the back is also not great. If the TV would have included the cable comparment covers for the back panel, it'd be much less frustrating. If you have 4 thick HDMI cables, it becomes challenging to run the cables in such a way that the TV still sits flush on the wall.

None of that is my reason for knocking a star off, though. LG's firmware issues they had with last year's models have continued into this year's. Specifically, as you can find with some Google searches, there is a whole host of problems with getting G-Sync to work correctly when hooked up to a PC at 4k 120hz (using an RTX card), and requires a LOT of configuration and tweaking both on the TV and GPU driver (it definitely doesn't "just work"). I've also experienced a lot of inconsistencies using this TV's eARC implementation with the matching GX soundbar, where input changes can cause audio to drop completely, requiring a full power cycle.

Speaking of eARC, this is my main reason for knocking off the star: the X models do not support DTS decoding in ANY capacity, INCLUDING ARC/eARC passthrough. Which renders the benefits of eARC (mostly multichannel 5.1+ sound) void for a very big use-case for those of us with a large media collection (ahem, if you're a Nolan movie fan, better find alternative audio streams or a blu ray player that can decode/transcode the DTS stream for the GX!).

Our particular OLED panel did come with a decent amount of vertical banding in the 5-20% greyscale range. However, it has improved over time, with it now only being apparent up to about the 10-15% range. This isn't necessarily a negative, as all OLED panels of this physical size suffer from some kind of vertical banding visible in certain greyscale ranges. Also worth noting is to not necessarily fall for the Dolby Vision marketing. This panel is nowhere near capable of producing the 12 bit color depth to even worry about it -- it's all marketing.

As for the positives: the picture on this thing with 4k HDR content is truly breathtaking. Even more so once you get it working with some games beyond 60fps into the 120 range. The perfect contrast on this thing completely makes up for (and exceeds) any color depth shortcomings with competing Samsung models. The actual experience of watching content on this screen simply can't be beat - this is the pinnacle of normal consumer TVs right now.

The gallery app that displays art is a very nice touch. It would be nice to see more customization options with it though. All other apps and smart TV functionality works incredibly smooth.

Another surprising positive is the quality of the internal speakers. For a TV this thin, they have a lot of depth in sound. External speakers will of course be better, but I was not expecting the GX model speakers to be this good out-of-the-box.

Overall, one of the best TVs your money can buy right now. For me, however, the peculiarities with LG's firmware, G-Sync and eARC issues, and complete lack of DTS passthrough, significantly takes away from what is otherwise a perfect consumer TV for the aesthetically-conscious.

Wall Mounted and Beautiful!!! Oh happy day.

The picture quality is amazing. I was able to put the TV in "gallery mode" and display beautiful pictures of fine art that appeared to be actually hanging on the wall. Although this TV needs to be professionally mounted since there is no other way to display it, it is less than an inch from the wall and looks gorgeous. The inputs are on the back of TV and there are no visible wires so there is a clean look. There is a always-listening microphone and virtual assistant that uses ‘Hi LG’ as a wake phrase and includes a built in tuner with bright saturated colors and very dark blacks with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 making contrast levels seem more vibrant with ambient light sensor to optimize the content for your room. I have had the opportunity to test all the LG available apps and I absolutely love this ability. I have used my TV for streaming and watching regular TV. The picture quality is mesmerizing and the audio is cinema worthy.

    Well worth it!

Amazing picture quality! The LG - 65" Class GX Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV is a beautiful product and well worth the price. If you are sitting on the fence trying to decide between the BX, CX, or GX model, stop waiting. The GX is worth the extra price point and you will not be disappointed. The TV is super thin and comes with it's own wall mount that allows the TV to sit flush with the wall as long as your outlet is not in the way. The functionality of the LG Smart webOS provides access to all the popular streaming services and the setup user friendly and easy to follow. I was also concerned about the size, wondering if I could get the 77", but by using the measuring guide offered by Best Buy, we made the right decision. I highly recommend this model and size. When not watching amazing content that looks way to real, we enjoy the picture gallery function as well. Again, it is well worth it!

Love this LG Nano, fantastic picture quality, the ability to sign into all my app like Apple TV is very convenient no more wires running all over the place. I also love the built in Bluetooth functions I can listen at night with wireless headphones.

    Overall great value.

    Good overall tv

Awesome is a lot of areas but the black levels are complete trash and the white bleeding or color bleeding onto the black is terrible. It’s like the whole tv is glowing when the Netflix logo would pop up or black in tv shows looked completely grey. But mine did have some screen issue idk why. I’ll post a picture

This was exciting, rarely do I get to have a TV that is all mine, let alone a beautiful, brand new one almost all to myself. We have had the pleasure of enjoying the LG NanoCell 90 Series, 55" 4K smart uhd tv with AI ThinQ, although that's a mouthful it is well worth it.. Cutting the chord a few months ago, we heavily rely on exclusively streaming and this fits the bill. With about every major steaming app available I could never run out of something to watch. I wouldn't want to either. This television is extraordinary. The color and clarity is superb, I almost feel guilty that i kept it for myself. The 55" is perfect for the bedroom and I love that i can connect my bluetooth headphones and not bother my husband when i want to stay up late. Set up was suoer easy and the TV was ready to go in minutes. The remote is out of this world. This has to be one of the most thought out remotes ever! Not only can you clearly snd acuratly find any function you need for the TV, it also has a pointer and you can scroll. It looked intimidating at first but now I love it, I prefer this over those one remotes.

From documentries to big box films, the LG NanoCell TV has a picture screen for it all. With Dolby Vision IQ and Atmos , not only is the picture enjoyable but the sound is theater quality. Action movies are phenomenal, and now I can actually hear the voices with clarity in my romantic tearjerkers. With a sleep timer I can actually find makes sure I never wake up to burn in. My favorite feature by far is the Sports Alert, I set it the moment I setup the TV. I can't wait for live spots to start up again , I will be ready for football season. I love that I could setup the TV with my Alexa and can now control every smart switch in my house. My smart home just got so much smarter and I don't even have to get up.

If you're on the fence about this tv, don't hesitate. This is an investment you won't regret.

    Beautiful picture

I am amazed with the picture quality of this TV. The colors are vivid and the picture is crisp and clear. The sound is so impressive that you don't need a sound bar. It keeps up with fast paced actions like sports with out lagging or getting blurry. It was simple to set up right out of the box. The instructions were easy to read. It includes a magic remote that you can use a mic to talk into that tells the TV what to do. That is a really helpful feature. You can use this to change the channel, increase or decrease the volume and even search for show and movies. It comes with apps like hulu and Netflix already preprogrammed onto it. My kids love using this TV to play their video games on. The picture is clear even on the darkest scenes. This is a great TV that my whole family enjoys. I definitely recommend this TV.

Great for Xbox Series X, webOS is kind of blah

This checks all the boxes for my Xbox Series X. Games look amazing and as well streaming content.

The software feels a little scattered though. HDMI-CEC was well hidden (I felt) and was frustrating me as I like hitting the TiVo button (yes, still a TiVo user) to flip to the correct input if I am playing Xbox. The same goes for powering up Xbox, I like the TV to flip automatically to that input. You can find it under all settings - Connection - Device Connection Settings.

It is easy to get lost in the options for the picture. Somewhere I did something and the Dolby Vision box is no longer checked on Xbox. See images, dark screen was first setup and light screen is the next day after trying to improve brightness.

Store is missing some apps and it is tough to see if webOS is a target for some companies. HBO Max is not available and some apps appear very old. For example: Netflix has an old sign-in method and Plex has a March 2020 date.

The TV is awesome and webOS cannot detract from that. Still 5 stars for the unit and feature set.

    My Big tyme LG

This is one of the best TV’s that I have purchased and it is definitely worth the dollar value! I luv The HD colors and the choices of picture colors/ adjustments. Also, the high tech web selection is Ike I never seen before. It also pairs and links with Google and Apple for phone and YouTube features.... and the setup was easy!!

What a Difference a TV Makes

We recently upgraded from a 34” television to our new LG. We are so happy we did! My hubby is disabled so we get our entertainment mostly from traditional tv and streaming services. Our old tv was ok but the picture and sound qualities reflected that of ten years ago.

As soon as I set this up - and the setup was deceptively easy, we were amazed! First, the picture quality is just beautiful - the colors are so vibrant. I love I can adjust the sound quality based on what we’re watching. And switching to our streaming service is so much easier than my old setup.

And it’s just so thin! Just wonderful. Watching movies - they almost don’t seem real. We watched “Jersey Boys” and it felt so much more personal. We’ve also watched “1917” which was so full of images and landscape. The ‘cinema’ sound setting really made it! And we watched “The Incredibles 2”. Such rich color and derails. This television is one of the best purchases we’ve ever made

Great TV, but need to adjust settings

This TV is truly wonderful, however there is only one qualm I have with it, the LED dimming creates blooming like i have never seen before. It makes it impossible to watch any dark scene that has a hint of brightness. You end up with a bright bar going up and downt he whole screen. Turn off LED Dimming and this TV is worthy of 5 stars, I am just truly shocked they would even allow that setting to exist considering how poorly it executes its function. If it is that bad, just dont provide it! Otherwise, great tv

    Great Tv

I think this is a great, user-friendly TV. Beautiful pixel and resolution. Very easy and simple assembly as well, although I was hoping that I would have assistance with the assembly via GeekSquad since I ordered the TV. I would recommend making that a bit more clear to future buyers. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

Good TV With Some Black Uniformity Issues

The TV is good for the price, it has great picture quality, but unfortunanitly quality control is lacking. The first TV I bought came with the bottom left side suffering from black uniformity. The cloudly white light made it annoying to enjoy watching anything that was dark. The first image was the first TV I got which I then exhanged for another one, but it still suffered some black uniformity. The second image shows the second one I got. It was less and passable, but would be great if it didn't have it at all to begin with. In the images it is hard to tell the difference, but in person it is significantly less enough to not bother me while watching a during a dark scene. Other than that if you are lucky and recive a TV without this problem it is a great buy. The audio from the TV is good and the user interface is okay. It is hard to reommend this TV knowing it could suffer from black uniformity.

    LG Nano Review

After having researched various types of TV's I decided on this one. I can tell you that without a doubt, my wife and I are absolutely thrilled with our purchase. The picture is superb. Many folks talk about the color black and how it's portrayed on screen, but this isn't an issue. We have seen OLed/QLed sets that have a similar quality. We're not gamers so I do not have input on that front. Can't give input on the onboard speakers as we have a surround sound system. Small learning curve with respect to the webOS/SmartTV, but not too bad. The only annoying thing is LG's Magic Remote is quirky but with a little patience you get used to it.

    Great TV for the money

Great picture, and I'm not even using the 4K feature. The set up process is a little clunky, in that you have to use the LG app on your iPad or Android device. On my iPad, I couldn't select my zip code to customize the TV guide line up (wouldn't move to the next screen). In the end i used the TV remote and exited out, I'm using it via a FireTV box anyway, so the LG menu is not required.

Picture is awesome. Really good value for money.

    Awesome TV!

We love this TV! Its very user friendly, and works well in San Diego because we have a lot of light in our room. The people at Best Buy sold me on that and they were correct.

I love the different settings that account for dark and light spaces.

Also, I was sold I on the idea that an LG is a mid way point between Samsung and Sony. If you don't want your TV too hyper real, or too colorful, go with an LG ;)

    Oh my goodness

Let me start out by saying that I don’t spend this kind of money on electronics, I normally feel the lower end will suffice for me or whatever most expensive TV I’ve bought is around $500…this tv I got open box for $1250 then got the 5 year warranty, this time I wanted 120hz to take full advantage of the series X and when I went to the store, the quality disparity on the sub $1000 but still $800+ 120hz 4K LED TVs compared to the OLEDs was shocking. The only panel that even looked remotely decent next to the OLED was the Sony X90J but was still $1299, Samsung LEDs just looked pixelated in a way you couldn’t find with oleds and Samsung had some models MORE expensive than I bought this for…

Picture quality is amazing been playing Valhalla , we watched Luca (amazing) and all the modes just switch seamlessly. Goes to game when you’re gaming, switches to a content oriented mode when on any app playing videos .

The AI features are also … awesome? Surprisingly like the audio enhancer, our old TV wasn’t against a wall neither is this one but the difference in sound produced is literally amazing… I can hear anywhere in my viewing distance perfectly below 30 volume , my old tv I’d have trouble hearing maxed out. (2017 43” 7000 series Samsung 4K)

All in all if you plan to have a TV over 5 years and already going to spend $900-$1300+ & need to secure 120hz , just get an oled , there’s no point in spending that much to not get the best experience for your money. This and the CX are only $1500 rn new and open box is even better.

Only quarrel I did specifically ask the guy to ensure I got a TV with a stand but luckily in my living room our entertainment center sits along an open stud and made it easy to mount, I’d just never done it myself before but it was quite easy. Some people are saying they didn’t like the stand but I loved it, nice and easy and it was literally my first time ever hanging one.

Ended up working out anyways and I’m glad I got one that hangs & I also now know what GALLERY means!

    Next Gen Gaming Companion

WOW! Seriously, W-O-W! Let me explain.

    [ENTERTAINMENT USE]

I am a bit of a TV enthusiasts, if you will. I am extremely picky, yet not a brand snob. I have owned LG (pre-OLED), Sony, Samsung, Vizio, etc. I currently have Samsung Q80R QLED, Q70, and Q60 throughout the house. I decided to try this TV for my office (since thats where I work and game). QLED was impressive when I purchased it, now I cannot even look at it. I think it will be making it’s way out the door in favor of the 77” version of this guy. I originally wanted the CX, but due to stock issues couldn’t land one. When I went to check for the CX, there were no OLED’s in stock in a 250mi radius. The rep said let me check just for giggles. He said, I can’t believe it, we have ONE. It’s OLED and 55” like you want -only difference is model. It was more expensive, but, I got upgraded internals and a few other bells and whistles. After mounting it, hooking up the Series X and PS5, and cranking it for the first time.... ZOMG.... STUNNING. I just wanted to throw all kinds of content at it, just to see it in action. You will NOT be disappointed. [END HERE IF YOU ARE NOT A GAMER]

    [GAMING]

I have been playing on a monitor since 2013. TV tech then wasn’t what it is today. I had such an advantage using 1-5ms monitors, albeit capped at 60Hz. Anytime I tried playing a shooter on a TV during this time, I would get wrecked. It didn’t feel natural. Fast forward - I am in awe. This is like playing on a 27” monitor in terms of response/refresh. If you have a next gen system this is the TV you want. It packs HDMI 2.1, 4K @ 120Hz, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, G-Sync (FreeSync coming in an update this year), and many more! It feels buttery smooth when I play on it. I have zero issues on FPS online now. I enjoy gaming on this beast and being able to relax after work and not stare at monitors when I don’t have to. Being in IT and working from home, I needed some separation of the two.

Bottom line: no matter what your use case is, you will NOT be disappointed!

Sunning OLED with a superior wall mount solution

Incredible TV. The perfectly flush design is truly stunning and the clean esthetic is such a step above traditionally mounted TVs.

As always, LG OLED shines in terms of image quality. Once you go OLED, you can't go back to anything else as the deep blacks and vibrant colors are such a step above traditional LED panels.

Make sure to plan ahead in terms of the install. I needed to install a recessed box into my wall to hide some components to get the TV to sit perfectly flush with the wall. Make sure to look online for a recessed box without flange because most boxes have a thick edge that would prevent the TV from sitting flush. If you take the time to properly install this as it was meant to be installed, it is a truly amazing TV and I cannot recommend it enough. If you dont want to go to the effort to mount it perfectly flush, I would recommend the less expensive C1 OLED model as the main drawn here is the gallery wall mounting.

    Highly recommend!

This tv comes with a flush wall mount to the wall. I used my existing wall mount until I move in a year. Every HDMI port I like 99% of tv’s is 4K 2.1 120hz ports.

It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, 4K, variable refresh rate, & many more.

I’m upgrading from a Sony A1E OLED 4K 55 ‘inch that in less than 2 and a half years got burn ins. Unfortunately with OLED tv’s you have to babysit them and make sure you’re not watching channels with stilled images that don’t move such as cable news channels & sports.

I didn’t have Geek Squad protection on it so I have it to a relative. I cannot recommend enough to purchase a plan with Best Buy. They cover burn ins. No one else does. I purchased a 5 year plan with Best Buy. Certainly gives me peace of mind.

The Series X performance on this LG GX is incredible!

    LG OLED 55

Just got my new TV delivered and installed by Best Buy. I’m completely floored by the picture quality. The flush mount on the wall is so nice and streamlined. I couldn’t be happier! This is my 2nd LG OLED TV purchase and I cannot recommend this television enough.

    Beautiful OLED 55 GX

I was beyond thankful when this TV arrived. Having read up on it I knew I was in for a treat once it was set up. I was fortunate enough to have it professionally installed by a tech named Frank that was well versed in this particular TV and it's new, custom flush mount bracket. Once it was hung, it really did look beautiful on the wall. This was already replacing another big brand TV that I thought had a great picture until I saw this GX turned on. WOW. Everything about this TV is top notch. Great picture, perfect blacks and the gaming mode works great between our systems. The magic remote is very advanced, I was surprised during setup I was able to have it learn and take over my cable remote. It's able to access all of the menus, DVR, etc. with no issue. I can truly operate my TV with 1 single remote now. I've read great things about the built in sound but it didn't compare to my soundbar and wireless subwoofer I already had so I opted for that for audio output. The unfortunate thing when going this route and probably the biggest con for me is the sound variation between shows, channels and commercials. My older TV was able to balance it all out and decrease any spikes in audio. I may ultimately look into an LG soundbar to replace my current setup to fix the audio issue. Since the audio issue is my only con I'd definitely recommend this to friends, family and other consumers interested in a TV that mounts perfectly flush to your wall and gives you a beautiful picture. Whether you use it for TV, movies, or gaming, this TV will definitely perform for you. We've also hooked up our laptop occasionally via HDMI - USB-C cable for the homeschooling zoom calls and classes lately and it's been a great help as well. While the TV is on, you have the option of accessing a "Gallery" that has tons of beautiful artwork and photos which turns your TV into an art frame. The images look perfect and with the way the TV mounts flush it really looks great on the wall. It was a feature I knew about but wasn't sure if I'd use it but it really does look nice if we have company over and don't necessarily have the TV playing anything. Thanks LG for making a top notch TV with an awesome bracket to really show it's beauty.

    Stunning picture

Wow, the picture quality is amazing. I'm using the tv stand legs as I don't want to mount it. Only draw back is you have to spend another $100 for the tv stand legs.

One issue I had, I have verzion's new boxes that are 4k, but in order to get 4k you have to turn off the Ultra HD deep color option, and then you won't get the Amd Freesync premium function.

then you get 4k (3840 X 2160) 59hz in the input from version and same to my main output on the receiver, at color space YCbCR 420 24bit.

Not sure why this is? on my 65 lg 2018 model I have ultra hd deep color on and still get 4k. Maybe this is cause its a newer model. I don't know. but its not that big of a deal. At least I know what to do.

    OUR THIRD LG TV

The date of this review is August 16, 2021, so we have only had the TV since July 22, 2021, which is less than one month. So far, so good. This is our 3rd LG TV so they all have worked well. We are usually hesitant about purchasing certain items after we have read reviews, but since we had two other LG TV's we decided to keep the trend going. We don't watch TV much, but we needed to move the 55" to another room and decided to purchase a 65" as a replacement. These "Smart" TV's are about the light behind the screen (i.e., NANO) which affects the picture. Sound and lighting are good on this TV; there are still some tech stuff we haven't dealt with yet like prompts to add this or that but we are satisfied. We hope this helps someone with their decision.

    Great TV

Not as nice as my OLED, but a great television. The picture is very crisp and clear and the television is easy to use. I am an LG fan and this tv just reaffirmed that. My only issue is the sound, it needs to be relatively high to hear anything an the bass is relatively low.

MOST BEAUTIFUL IMAGES STILL GOING STRONG!

BEST TV IN THE STORE. If you want to spend somewhere near $20,000 then you might get the same picture quality. I went to the store and I am mediately knew that this was the TV I had to have. I walked around and couldn’t find any TV that could compare, especially in this price range. I wish they made it in a larger version so that I could have one for my basement. Either way this has been a conversation starter more than anything else in our home. We couldn’t be happier.

Get ready for an Immersive Experience!!!

Spectacular, astonishing, beautiful, breathtaking, are just a few words when describing the LG BX 65 OLED. It was time for us to upgrade our LG 30-inch LCD TV from 2008 and due to our great experience with LG we decided to stay with the brand. So, the next question was LCD or OLED? We knew the OLED had the top state of the art technology where each pixel produces its own light hence successfully delivering excellent clarity and picture detail. And, the panels are extremely thin. We also wanted a big TV that accommodates the allocated space and so we decided to go with the LG BX 65 OLED TV.

The TV was delivered to us on a pallet. Since the large size of the TV, I had my son help me with the unboxing of the TV. Assembly was easy. Initial setup was quite simple as well. My 8 year old daughter insisted on setting it up and was simple enough for her to follow the on screen steps (did help her with the wireless configuration).

The LG WebOS menu is easy to navigate. It has all the apps that you will need. There is no need for an external streamer as this is one stop for everything. And, with Apple’s Airplay system I was able to mirror my iPhone photos and videos without any glitch. Love love love the LG’s magic remote. The pointer makes navigation through the apps a breeze. Also, the voice control makes this a superior remote from its competitors.

You will enjoy the Filmmaker mode as the cinematic experience is out of the world. Finally, we get to enjoy movies as they are intended to be watched by the filmmakers. Hat’s off to LG for this experience. And when watching movies this mode is automatically activated. We got to firsthand experience it while watching Mad Max: Fury Road. It was jaw dropping. Everything on the screen felt so realistic. We were also quite impressed with the TV’s AI features to upscale a lower quality homemade videos that were take few years ago.

Viewing BX from any angle is not an issue. The picture quality does not degrade when viewing at an angle. I love it as I can watch the TV from the kitchen while I am cooking (viewing angle is about 55 degrees from location of the TV).

The base of the LG BX is quite low. Connecting our LG SL10RG soundbar was easy. Everything sounds so much better with this sound bar. To prevent cutting the bottom part of the TV you will need to elevate the TV or mount it.

We are so happy that we had got this amazing TV

    OLED FTW

Upgraded my Sony 55 X850c finally after 5 years. I was on the edge on getting the TCL 6 series or just coughing up the cash to get the LG OLED. I researched different tvs for atleast a month before I made the decision.

I had the fear of permanent burn-in which was one of the reasons I didn't purchase this tv sooner. Rest assured this tv has settings to shift pixels and put up a screensaver.

If you want the best picture with g sync and HDMI 2.1 with vrr, don't hesitate on purchasing this set. The picture does not get as bright as QLED tvs but the sharpness and picture quality will speak for itself. HDR with Dolby Vision will blow your socks off.

In 2021 if you are on the fence and want a solid tv with HDMI 2.1 with most of the bells and whistles of the CX series than look no further. The CX model is only 50 more dollars now so I would recommend getting that if it's in stock. Otherwise this model will still do the job for the price.

    Good view, bad remote

Using it as I write this. Clear view, no motion blur while watching sports, which is pretty much all we watch. Just need more broadcasts in 4K. True blacks. Bought a slim mount so all disappears. Got a Sonos bar for sound as the internal speakers are good…if you are a dog. The remote is awkwardly shaped and confusing to operate. Amazing these companies can’t figure out how to do these yet. Scope creep central on these things. I think I can launch a Tesla rocket with it, but all I want to do is go to the last channel watched…which I can’t do.

    Excellent OLED TV

I had spent a few weeks debating between a Samsung QLED or an OLED TV. I eventually decided on the LG BX55 due to the response time and overall better picture quality. I primarily use this TV for gaming and watching movies and after a week of use I can say I’m beyond impressed. The response time is better than my LG gaming monitor and I find myself in awe looking at games like Ghosts of Tsushima and The Last Of Us II. This is my first OLED and it has impressed me, and I am now considering purchasing a second to replace the UHD Samsung in my bedroom. My only complaint with the TV is the complexity of the UI takes some time to get used to. After a week I’ve finally got it all figured out, but out of the box it definitely was much more complex than any TV I have previously owned.

    A religious experience.

About a day in and I’m absolutely loving the BX. I’ve been drooling playing the 4K demos on YouTube, the picture quality is a religious experience. My Xbox one x is much clearer and richer vs my 2018 4K tv. Watching football as I type and the picture off broadcast looks crisp and motion is flawless. I was worried about brightness as the BX seems to be set up dimmer vs the CX instore, but getting it home there is no issue. In fact I have oled brightness setting halfway and if I turn it up higher it just gets too bright and blown out. Small knock is there is some light banding in some gradients especially if it’s gray and it’s fast moving like an expanding logo, but really 99.9% of images have no issue whatsoever. I almost went with the CX but I’m glad I saved the cash as it turns out the brightness difference is no issue at all. You will love this tv.

    Bluetooth needs improvement

I’m only giving this 4 stars due to the inability of the tv to automatically connect to my non LG Bluetooth speakers. Each time the tv is turned off it automatically disconnects from the speakers and you have to go into settings to reconnect. Outside of that the tv is great. The picture is very sharp and the apps are great. It was a great price as well and I love the fact that it integrates with my google home.

I always loved samsung tvs so when my 65 inch element tv broke that is what i went to get. I was so disappointed with my purchase with samsung, volume was great on the tv but it was sooo dark when i would watch certain shows. At that point I decided to swap it out with the LG tv, I am so glad i did, the volume, the picture, colors are phenomenal! My next purchase will definitely be the 50" LG, same model...This tv was so much better then the samsung crystal uhd,it looks crisp and has that realistic look to the picture plus it has 3 hdmis instead of the 2 that samsung has.

Great Tv, remote control Not so much

    I am

So happy with the quality of the TV, not so much with the remote control, it is too complicated, they should make them more easy for the customer not more difficult, & that’s the problem with this one. Other than that I am so happy with the purchase I made with this item!!!

    Amazing TV

I was undecided between Samsung and LG, finally made my mind and went for LG, best decision ever. Clear, sharp, amazing picture/images/resolution. The sound is great too for a tv, not like a sound bar but it’s better than other TVs I have owned. The best part, it comes with AppleTv and Airplay already integrated, I putted my AppleTv aside since I bought this tv. Oh, and LG gives you 100+ channels to watch tv... for FREE!! If you are looking for a great tv for less than $1000 this is the one.

This TV is great! but the LG store for apps isn't

    Pros:

    Great picture!

Cool Remote - scroll wheel and laser-like pointer

Easy to integrate with other tech (Roku, Alexa, Google)

Price - This is an amazing price for such a great TV

    Cons:

    Missing ATT TV app

Remote is not intuitive, takes some time to get used to

LG store app to download apps and channels is missing stuff and kinda weird, but that may be because I've own any other smartTVs than Samsung.

    Great until it wasn’t

Tv looked great and I enjoyed it until a blue vertical line appeared on the screen one day while I was watching tv. I thought at first it was the program I was watching until I noticed it was present on the LG Home Screen and visible as soon as you power on the unit. This tv was not touched since setting it up and it worked well for the 2 weeks I had it before the line appeared. The tv sits on a stand with the included legs.

To their credit, LG was helpful and scheduled a repair for me. Things were looking up and to set aside the time for someone to come out and repair the tv wasn’t a big deal to me if it meant this would be fixed. Fast forward to today, 3 days after the local repair shop reached out to me and they have now told me that they received a fax from the warranty company that I had canceled the repair. I of course did not do this, and the shop said this has happened a few times before. I reached back out to LG who say the warranty claim and repair are still active.

I hope I can update this review later on with positive news, but right now I am very frustrated and just want this resolved.

    LG is the best!

Obsessed with my new LG Nanocell. For the size and quality of TV I definitely got my monies worth. Brightness and colour is great. Pairs with my Sonos ARC and HomeKit enabled so I can tell Siri to turn on the tv when I come home. I also have the Apple TV 4K which pairs with the picture quality of this tv perfectly. Not a huge fan of the DolbyVision as I feel it lessens the blue light and tones down the picture. Overall love it and living a techy dream with this TV.

Be weary of the flashlights effect.

I was hopeful about this tv when I bought it, but about two hours into owning it it got the flashlight effect. It was shooting blue red and white light along the sides of the tv. It was supposed to full array and not be prone to that issue. Unfortunately, this is all to common with lg TVs. I returned it and got a cx Oled.

Amazing picture & best choice for Xbox Series X!

Let me start by saying sometimes things can vary from panel to panel so some may have slightly better or worse luck than others when it comes to blooming, banding, grey uniformity, black uniformity, etc. Now with that out of the way I can say I absolutely love this TV. My main motivation was finding a TV with hdmi 2.1 inputs that could take full advantage of the Xbox Series X capabilities. This TV fits the bill. I looked at numerous reviews and really listen to the folks at Rtings but I think they missed the mark on this one. In real world use, the flaws they outline of this set are hardly going to be noticable. Where you may notice its' deficiencies is in application menus and on start up of some apps where some blooming is noticeable. Gaming is fantastic and as seen in the photo I posted, shows the game mode 120hz and freesync options on - all of which is automatic. The AI in the TV also works with other applications. For example when watching a movie on the Movies Anywhere app, it automatically changes the picture to Dolby Vision Cinema Home mode with HDR. Or when watching a TV show on Netflix it reverts back to Standard mode. I am one that usually messes with settings on a TV and I have not touched anything other than using Cinema mode instead of Cinema Home mode when watching movies. I also have a Samsung Q80R which received rave reviews and I can honestly say I think this LG matches the picture quality pound for pound, and blows the Samsung out of the water with its gaming features. I cannot recommend this enough.

    LG Nano 90 series

The LG Nano 90 series tv has an amazing picture. The level of detail is much more evident when you compare this to the Samsung Crystal and LG UHD tv line ups. This tv is no OLED or QLED, but you will not be disappointed with the lack of black levels.

The tv was easy to wall mount due to it having pre-installed screws on the back to use with my swivel mount.

I would recommend this tv to older individuals and individuals who don't have a tech savvy history. This LG is so easy to set up and with expert settings for both light/dark rooms makes the process more streamlined and quick to enjoy.

Here is a bit of reality: Most channels which are high def on their signal will look sharp and you will be absolutely blown away, but there are some high def channels that for no reason or fault of the tv's capabilities will not be clear and crisp to the eye. Don't worry about those, and just enjoy what comes through.

Please, this tv's audio is not good, so get a high quality sound bar or surround sound system to complete your experience.

Overall, I recommend this tv to anyone and would tell my family and friends to buy this one or any other LG Nano or OLED product.

Megan and Chase (Geek Squad members):

    *were on time

    *adapted to our schedule change

*were responsive to our issues, solved all problems

*very polite, and explained how to use the two remotes

*TV was turning off a lot

*a HDMI cable was found to be improperly installed

    *problems with the sound bar

*the DVD player was never installed

*noted a dent on back the the TV, might be the cause of TV turning off

This was our third call back, looks like problems all now

    fixed

One new issue, they relocated my existing Apple gear to another TV which is now a smart TV. However now I can't get cable on that TV. Looks like an issue with changing the Source, I will try to fix.

Bottom line, now satisfied. Will insist on Best Buy Geek Squad members not contractors in the future.

Best Buy’s installation team was fast, thorough, knowledgeable and patient. We could not have been more pleased. A wonderful experience!

Perfect replacement for a much loved plasma

Replaced a 17 year old Panasonic 42” plasma TVs. Beautiful picture, fairly easy setup (did ourselves). Hardest thing, due to its size was that it required two people to lift.

    OLED picture, subpar processing

I’ve been in the AV industry for years, and this TV is great, but could be better. This is for people who want an OLED but want the cheapest one possible. The black levels are there, the colors are there, but the 60Hz panel just makes the picture look awful. This was professionally calibrated and the skin tones just look off. I recommend this if you want an OLED but can’t justify the few hundred dollars to upgrade to the C series. I have both, the C series blows this one away though!

    Best all round viewing experience

Hands down, one of the best TV flatscreen pictures out there! Comparing the picture and angle of view with other comparable units, the LG OLED is just an awesome viewing experience, regardless of whether you are watching standard or 4K levels. Be sure your room doesnt expose the screen to bright lighting as you may find the picture darker than usual. The only thing I am hesistant on saying is great is the thin viewing screen above the electronics of the TV. You dont want to flex the screen if moving it and I am sure if it toppled, the top of the screen would break off...Hey who has children or animals that may try to see if they can move it. Seriously, its the only thing that gives me pause but the TV is absolutely great!

    Love my new TV

I love this TV. Colors look amazing. It indeed looks like a picture in the wall. We took the wall mounting with wire hiding option from best buy. They did a good job with it. I was hesitant to take the service from best buy looking at the awful reviews- but our installation went smoothly.

    Beaty that complements itself

I’ve been looking for a tv that has the ability to complement the wall it lays on, This tv does just that and so much more originally I had been looking at the GX which is last year‘s model but hearing about LG‘s new technology “EVO” I decided to wait and it definitely paid off, amazing picture and an amazing piece of art. OLED EVO is truly the next generation of TV

    What More Could You Want!

Ignore every negative review here, they are probably due to improper install, or not understanding what an OLED tv is, do your research people! Yes it doesn't come with a stand because it is meant to be WALL MOUNTED, that's the whole point.

This TV is EVERYTHING! The picture quality is like nothing I've ever experienced! The OLED has me constantly questioning if my TV is off or just loading, and the contrast and color have me saying "Wow" under my breath all the time, just watch Guardians of the Galaxy and sit in awe as you can see every. single. star. WebOS6 is wonderful as well, super simple to use and you can arrange the apps anyway you'd like! The wall mount was fairly simple to install, however I recommend using different drywall screws if you don't have studs to drill into, the ones that come with the TV are a bit too long and thin, and could spin in the wall when trying to drill the screws in. Other than that I would highly recommend this TV, LG even added a 5 year warranty to this bad boy!

Spectacular UHD video, disappointing standard def

Purchased this TV sight unseen based on reviews of the LG G1 vs the Sony A90J. All the reviews state the Sony A90J is superior in all aspects to the G1 except gaming. However, the LG G1 is hundreds of dollars less then the Sony A90J. The reviews point out while the Sony A90J is superior to the LG G1 it isn’t hundreds of dollars superior. So, I bought the LG G1 as the “bang for the buck” choice.

The Gallery series LG TV is made to be flush mounted to the wall. But the reason I purchased the Gallery series is for 2021 it’s the only model that comes with the next gen brighter Evo panel. Since I’m not wall mounting the TV, I would have preferred if LG put the Evo panel in another series that comes with feet instead of a wall mount.

    UHD Picture

The main reason I wanted a new TV is my old Sony 4k wouldn’t display HDR or Dolby Vision. Native 4k, HDR and Dolby Vision are spectacular on this set.

    Standard Def Picture

Anything less than 1080 and the picture is very soft or has noticeable mpeg compression artifacts. 720p football doesn’t look good at all.

I had my older friends over to show off the TV. They mainly watch old TV shows. Their comment watching the old stuff they like is “Why is it so blurry”

This is definitely not the TV to buy if you mainly watch Standard Definition programming. This is a next generation TV for next generation 4k and above content.

    Gaming

I only have an old PS3. Nothing that can really drive the G1 to its limits. So, nothing to really comment on.

    Sound

If you table mount the TV, get a sound bar or external speakers for improved sound.

The TV does have a headphone jack on the back and you can split the sound so it goes to both the speakers and the headphone jack.

I “think” you can also connect Bluetooth headphones to the TV, but I haven’t tried.

    Reception

Unfortunately, there are no NextGenTV channels being broadcast in my area, so I can’t comment on NextGenTV reception. However regular reception on both UHF and VHF channels comes in strong. The tuner is a little show switching between channels. The over the air channel guide could be improved.

Note: The NextGenTV receiver and the brighter EVO panel were the main reasons I chose the G1 over the C1. Otherwise, the TVs seem to be very similar.

    Warranty

The TV is supposed to come with a 5-year warranty on the panel. I don’t know if that includes the electronics that drive the panel, or just the panel its self. Also, its not clear if this includes dead pixels or screen burn-in.

    Stand

Unfortunately, the TV doesn’t come with any feet!! Had to buy them separately for $100. Not everyone can mount this to a wall!!

    Picture in Picture

No Picture in Picture. If you are one of those who like to watch one game while monitoring another and swapping back and forth between games, this isn’t the TV for you.

    Wifi

Can’t comments on the Wifi reception of the set as I have it connected to an ethernet line.

Tip: Do a search on how to make the wired ethernet of the TV faster by adding a USB ethernet adapter.

    Interface

The LG uses its own proprietary interface where you point at different menu items using the remote as a “pointer” sort of like a Wii. I prefer the old PS3 interface where you scroll through the interface instead of pointing at stuff. Also, the menu logic and sub-tree logic could be better thought out.

    Applications

To be honest I didn’t setup the built-in applications on the TV. I have an AppleTV 4k that has almost all the streaming applications on it and I didn’t want to go through the trouble of settings them up again.

    Remote

The remote feels good in the hand. For this price you would think it would have back lighting and a chime function to find the remote, but no. The remote functions like a pointer where you point at things on screen and click on them. I put a textured silicone case on the remote and I like it better with the case.

Be nice if there were a “display” or “info” button on the remote so I could see the input, resolution, guide info for the show, etc.

Would also like a “favorites” button so I can just switch to my favorite channels instead of all the channels I have programmed like an “old school” TV remote.

    Great buy, impressive features

Bought this tv to replace my plasma which had a capacitor failure. Key consideration was the off angle view and quality of picture. I thought the plasma was very good but the LG is excellent in these areas.

As I explore the features and performance of this tv I continue to be impressed. Excellent choice for a reasonable price.

Very nice upgrade, not too extravagant

I went from a 42" to this 55". My previous TV, a Toshiba, was 8 years old and was a "dumb" TV with a Fire Stick. There was nothing wrong with it, but I re-did my living room and decided to upgrade my TV.

The picture quality upgrade on this was amazing. It took my eyes up while to get used to the aspect ratio, color clarity, and depth of pixelation. It works perfectly well with my smart home system (Alexa), except I am having a little trouble revising some of the commands that used to work on my old setup. It's just a learning curve thing. Once I get it down it will be smooth sailing.

I love that the TV has Bluetooth, so I could get rid of the wires to my soundbar. I also like that it has live TV channels available, even though I haven't used them. I'm a show streaming fiend, so when I've run out of shows, I'll check out what the live channels have to offer.

The TV mounted easily on my existing wall mount with a little help (it's a little too wide for one person to lift up and click into the mounting bracket). The TV and network setup were super easy. I was not expecting the remote to also have mouse/cursor functions. It make things a lot easier when using the search function to find something or type in alphanumeric entries.

A STELLAR TV with Top Tier quality! Well done LG

The pictures below does not compare to how beautifully PS5 games are running on this tv.

Picture: The picture quality on this tv is crisp, with vibrant colors, sharp picture and no input lag even with online gaming. HDR content in PS5 games/other media allows them, like Returnal, for an even more stellar experience on this tv. This TV further showcases every spec of detail in the Returnal’s signature particle effects. All movies and tv shows are also streaming beautifully at 4K as well.

Sound: WOW, I was shocked at the sound quality. It’s basically a mini sound system, so if you can’t immediately buy a sound bar or system, the sound on this tv is of great quality. It’s loud and clear with a surprisingly good bass.

LG TV Features: The smoothest UI I’ve ever dealt with for a tv. It’s fast, responsive and running at 4K. This awesome tv even has built in Airplay for iPhone users— AIRPLAY! The magic remote is great too. It feels like a like a Wii Remote when I use the pointer xD

Overall, it’s 5/5 stars, excited to play and watch so many things with this TV! Amazing job to LG for this masterpiece!

    Amazing!!! Must have!!!

The most amazing television I have ever owned. I've come along was from using using a television that has a channel turn dial on the front! The quality is amazing and I havent even had the chance to put my 4k HDMI cables in yet. Also, it is so fast and cool! I can control it and use it to control my smart home devices.

It’s like being in the movie theater!

Loving it! Fits perfectly on my wall. Love the movie theater experience w/o(rude people and expensive concessions stand prices).

I’ve had LG products before and they’re very good brand! My LG tv(47”) I bought 10 years ago is still working perfectly... I just wanted to upgrade to a larger screen and the extra stuff is a perk!

    Fantastic purchase!

I have a 6 year old 46" LG that is still great and with constant use have never needed service but decided to move it to another room and go bigger.

The LG 65" nanocell 90 4k series screen detail is beautiful! The ability to manipulate screen and sound settings is so easy with the magic remote. It links up to my home theater sound system so easily. If I choose ARC it will turn on my sound system automatically. But... the sound from the TV speaker is surprisingly very good! Sometimes I just use it instead of my surround sound.

    The build seems very sturdy.

It has lots of inputs including 2.1. We have lots of retro game consoles and some use the red and yellow connectors. The specs don't tell you that the TV comes with an included adapter cable! The games run fast and look superb.

YouTube looks great on it too! The included apps are good. It also has an art gallery screen saver that makes you feel like you are in a museum. You can also set up your apps in the order you like plus have buttons for your favorite YouTube subscriptions

The screen edge is very thin so you aren't distracted by it. It looks like the whole TV is the screen.

Setup is so easy. Wifi streaming is great.

I don't like chicken legs stands so I attached it to a swivel stand but can see clearly from any angle.

I was torn between the Sony and this one. I like the screen appearance better on this one plus the better gaming.

If you want to just use your small firestick remote also you can. If you want to do some cinema settings changes just pick up the magic remote and do that and go back to the little remote. Amazon showed me how to do it over the phone. It was easy.

I am sure I will be keeping this a long time just like my old faithful LG that I now enjoy in my bedroom.

I highly recommend this for the price compared to the oled version.

    Great 4K TV

Full disclosure - I haven't purchased a TV in over 7 years when I purchased one of the last Panasonic plasmas (which still looks great, by the way), so most 4K TVs are going to be a significant step up.

Purchased this TV primarily in preparation for the PS5 and it states it comes with HDMI 2.1 out of the box. Was looking at the Sony X900H, but couldn't figure out how they were going to pull off an update for the HDMI and I've read that Sony has struggled with promises in the past. Without spending hundreds more for Samsung or OLED, this fit my budget. At full price, may be a little pricey, but I got it for $250 off during Black Friday.

I'm undecided on the Magic Remote, but otherwise the WebOS interface is fairly easy to navigate. Wifi connects great and apps load quickly. My only complaint is the the apps run through the WebOS will not play through my receiver via the eARC 2.1, so I have to run sound through an optical cord. Still sounds great, but was looking forward to running it all through my receiver.

Hookup was easy, especially using eARC. PS3, PS4, and Blu Ray player worked without a hitch.

Overall, for the price I paid on sale, this is a great deal. I've adjusted the video settings quite a bit, both on my own and with online guides. Speakers are above average from all the flatscreens I've had. Not sure of I would pay almost $1200 for it, but on sale it made sense. Not to mention LG was running a promotional to get a free LG Boom bluetooth speaker, and overall I have no regrets with the purchase.

    Quality TV at affordable price

I installed LG TV to existing heavy duty wall mount. After 1 week I am very impressed with picture and sound. I have been shopping and watching large TVs under $750 for a couple of months including BB reviews and technical reviews. Very pleased with quality for 65" TV for $499. I did buy the protection plan since I wanted a minimum of 5 years no hassle, which is my first protection plan purchase since Geek Squad weakened the value/quality of the protection plan in 2019 and retroactively applied rules to a Samsung French Door Refrigerator that was plagued with ice maker issues. I will never buy another appliance from Best Buy because of weakened protection, but will try them on electronics and hope for best (yes, still upset with Geek Squad).

Well first of all very happy with this TV. My first 65 inch TV. I've always owned Vizio brands nothing wrong with Vizio. This year I've decided to go with LG pruducts including my phone. Couldn't be happier crisp clear picture excellent sound all kinds of app built into it. Stayed up all night playing with the remote to get the hang of things. Nice TV

This LG TV has been flawless so far. We replaced a much smaller LG with this 65” LG ( due to a larger living room ) the picture is really very nice and clear, and a bonus is how many more channels we receive due to the LG TV feature. We don’t use cable TV...we just use a good rooftop antenna, internet and Netflix. This gives us all the TV programming we need. Very pleased so far. Only negative is the remote isn’t backlit...a small but irritating annoyance.

Would be five stars if it wasn't for this!!!

The LG 65" UN7000 would be a really good deal at only ~$500, if it wasn't for this one problem.

I don't know if this is the same with any other models, but on a completely dark screen the panel has a yellowish glow on the sides which is very annoying to look at! This is without any other lamps or lights turned on.

If it didn't have this issue it would be an easy 5 stars, but alas it cannot.

    Great so far!

So far so good! I was worried as I bought my last TV at Best Buy (Sony) and it only lasted two years. We still decided to go back to Best Buy as it wasn’t their fault they said Sony was the best. The internet says pretty much the same.

Anyway, the LG seems to have a better picture and it comes with a LOT of internet channels that we didn’t get before. So far, so happy. :)

The actual tv itself is good. Sometimes the software can feel a bit laggy but you give it a second and it does the job. No complains other than that looks real nice and sounds amazing with my samsung sound bar and subwoofer. The tv allows you to get the app to control it which makes life so much easier. Great TV for the price!

This is a great TV for the price. No, it's not a full array TV. No, it's not OLED. But it's much, much less expensive than those units.

If you want the absolute best picture quality then you would need to purchase a much higher end (but much more expensive) unit. But if you want a great price on a TV that still has a fantastic picture then look no further! I liked some of Vizio's offerings also but LG's WebOS interface is just so much better than most other manufactures. If using an Apple TV, Roku or Fire stick then it doesn't matter but for our use with this TV we are just using it direct so the LG WebOS is great! Provides Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and YouTube so that's everything we use on this TV. There are pros and cons with IPS but the enhanced viewing angle is something we needed with this TV so definitely a plus for our situation! Viewing angle is fantastic on this unit!

    Incredible HDR picture!

Excellent quality TV, the Nanocell LED screen is just ridiculous, so crystal clear. The remote is also super awesome too, I get why they call it the "magic remote" because it seems pretty magical. It automatically synced to my Xbox, PS4, and Switch when I turned them on for the first time. I dont understand how it works so it does seem like magic, if using a console to stream dont even have to use a controller, just the magic remote. A controller is only needed if playing a video game. I HIGHLY recommend this TV. Its the best bang for the buck available in my opinion.

Excellent picture quality and side angle viewing!

The blacks are really good. My daughter asked me if the TV turned off during a dark scene. My room is wide so side-angle viewing was a big must-have feature. This TV looks amazing even at extreme angles of 75+ degrees. The remote is really cool, like using a Wii remote. The app selection is really good. I won't say the apps are quite as responsive as my apple tv is. That being said, if this TV had an app for my TV service, I wouldn't really feel compelled to keep the Apple TV around.

Great colors, decent processor. Menu is nice and the remote makes it worth everything. Magic remote makes me buy an LG over any other brand. Speakers are not bad either, if you don’t want to pair it with a sound bar. I have mine sitting out on a covered deck. Better then spending $3000 on an outdoor tv. The colors and brightness is awesome if even tho it’s outside.

    Best picture ever!

This TV has the best picture I have ever seen. I originally bought the [LG - 65" Class NanoCell 90 Series LED 4K] which is more than twice as expensive($1350), and I returned it and got this one, and the funny thing is this one has got to be twice as good of picture and color.

Dont fall for the hype of the new technology every year that comes out, just because a tv is expensive doesnt mean anything, which I learned the hard way. You dont always get what you pay for when it comes to TV's!

You will be amazed with this TV and the color, brightness and picture will amaze you every time you look at it.

Really great TV. Love it for my kids room.

    Love it love it

We moved and we’re buying new TVs for the bedrooms.

We bought 4 insignias but then they ran out. Bought this for my daughters room. We are a Google house so we loved this one as it’s full Google compatible

Hooked through eArc (which is nice) the kiddo has all her games hooked up.

Wish it had more HDMI. Otherwise perfect

    Wow!!

Picture is so clear and it defaults to 4k as available. Has all of the widgets that we use regularly and being able to use the pointer vs. having to scroll is amazing. We were upset when our movers broke our previous TV but not as upset given what an upgrade this is from our previous smart TV.

    Best Next Gen Gaming TV

This is by far the best Tv I ever personally owned. I bought this back when it was on sale on Black Friday and I may I tell you, after months of using this, what a fantastic buy for the price, and the features are unmatched. The doubt that you may feel when reading reviews with negative comments pertaining to this product are customers who simply don’t know how to appreciate good technology, as well as not knowing how to fine tune this baby. First of all, 120 Hz refresh with up to 240hz up scaling . True 4 K , Dolby atmos ! Dolby vision ! 2 HDMI 2.1 Ports , (4) I plug my series x in with , (3) I use hdmi arc for my lg soundbar I just bought on sale. This panel supports hdcp 2.2. For those brand new movies that are coming out. Now one of the biggest complaints I hear is about is this model being edge lit , as opposed to the Nano90. Same panels, have different patterns of pixel lighting. Now the 90 may look a little more vibrant due to it being a full array panel. But all you have to do with this tv is turn off the local dimming feature and bam. Brand new. No

More picture lighting issues everyone’s seem to dislike. That paired with your choice of setting options. I feel this picture is so gorgeous that you really don’t need all the brightness it comes with stock. Fine tune it, and it’s a dream panel. Speakers aren’t bad as well, for tv speakers these things thump music and playing PS4 pro as well as series x on it, VRR is simply flawless. Trust me if you want a next generation tv with nothing to worry about, this Nano85 , or the Nano90 are affordable compared to the cx, and gx. They perform amazing. Don’t be fooled. If you have the wallet for the higher priced models, go for it. But if you can spend $1099. You won’t regret it, and if it’s on sale. Snag it. I used to be a Samsung dude, but now I love LG products , they the best. They really stepped up their game in Audio And Visual Performance.

Waited 17 years for this :)

We bought a giant box TV 17 years ago right when flat screens were becoming popular but very pricey. I refused to get a new TV until that one died. It finally happened, so off to Best Buy I go. The salesman was great and new his stuff. They came out and took away our HEAVY TV and had this beauty installed in under 90 minutes. Can't wait for the hubby and kids to get home...movie night!

Awesome TV. Bright colors and dark makes it more excitable. My intentions were for OLED, which are more priced, but when I saw this model and the resolution, I was satisfied. I would repurchase it. I was not concerned with the sound as I always use a home theater system.

    Staying ahead of the curve.

This TV was an awesome grab! Ill try to keep my review simple and cover all the questions i had before i chose this model.

The view is amazing. This TV has 4k/UHD, native 120 refresh rate, and comes with the AMD FreeSync premium software. This means if you choose to hook up a desktop computer build, the AMD Freesync option can be turned on to help improve varying refresh rates when gaming. For all you gamers out there wondering about the HDMI 2.1 for the new Xbox X/S series, as well as the new PS5, the HDMI ports #3, and #4, are both HDMI 2.1. This TV is perfect for anyone looking to match up the perfect TV to go along with your new console. Dont worry about having to buy an HDMI 2.1 cable if you are getting one of the new gaming consoles as both come with one. The TV can be connected to the internet via ethernet cable or by using the TV's built in wifi. (I would recommend using the ethernet cable.) The tv also comes with both the free Alexa app, as well as WebOs. LG also provides 150+ free channels. I bought this TV along with the new Xbox Series X, and i have to say, having played a few of the optimized 4k games with this setup, i can actually compare the quality to a decent desktop build. I hope this info helps. If you are looking to buy a new TV and your concerns are staying ahead of the curve when it comes to quality and performance, i would highly recommend this TV to everyone. All thats left for me is getting a wire management option.

    Very pleased

We had a 55" LG thinQ prior to getting this tv and my husband complained about the trails. I couldn't see the trails as well as he could and it bothered him. We have LG phones and I had already decided that we were going to stick with LG. From my husband saw this TV when we walked in to Best Buy I knew already by the look on his face we were going to be walking out with it. Now that it's up on the wall The Joy on his face makes me so happy not to mention I now have a 55 in TV in our bedroom. Now we're just waiting for the sound bar to come in put it all together. Next purchase will be the rear speakers

Good tv but has to be installed in the wall

This tv is good, is as thick as a cardboard (same flexibility).

Is held by 4 magnets to the wall. You don’t need to buy a wall mount, it comes with it.

You cannot use with tv stand. Is kind of weird. Is probable very good for rooms with no much space

Great television but wish LG included the ribbon cable extender with this model. This is the best TV I have ever owned and the thinness makes the TV more immersive. Once you start watching on this TV it would be hard to go back to any regular OLED. The price is steep but this is a piece of art.

It's a beautiful TV, but it's got some quirks.

I've had this for about a month, so here's some opinions:

    The Good:

Amazing picture. I'm coming from an HD LCD TV, so I was expecting a big improvement, and I wasn't disappointed. It's beautiful, even from very far off-axis (which is critical for me given my living room layout).

Amazing form factor. So thin, so little bezel. To misquote Crocodile Dundee, "That's not a flat panel TV. THIS is a flat panel TV." It really looks like the screen is just pasted on the wall.

    The Bad:

The mechanical design is a bit ... odd.

One issue is that the ribbon cable from the panel to the main unit is exceedingly stiff, enough so that I'm afraid to try to bend it in a radius tighter than six inches or so. This means that there is very little flexibility about how to position the main unit relative to the panel. It worked out fine in my case, with the main unit sitting on a hutch a foot or so below the panel's bottom edge, but I had no freedom about how far forward the main unit would sit on the hutch. Seems like this could be a big problem for other layouts. Maybe the optional extension cable would make it better ... but if the extension is just as stiff, it's not going to help much.

Another thing to know is that there is a panel that gets screwed to the wall and then the display just attaches to that with magnets. I came *this* close to destroying a $5K TV before I'd had it fifteen minutes, by pulling slightly too hard on the ribbon cable while trying to reposition the main unit. Fortunately the magnets caught the display again after it'd slipped down a few inches, so everything was fine, but geez that was scary. I'd say that this TV is an absolute non-starter for any household with small kids in it.

    The Ugly:

Given that the main unit is obviously a wannabe soundbar, I'd figured I would not need any external audio hardware. The sound is indeed fairly OK for a TV, but: where's the subwoofer? There is none, and there is no way to attach one, which seems like an incredible oversight. If you want to upgrade the sound, the only option AFAICS is to buy a duplicate soundbar, which is silly; plus the main unit is taking up the only reasonable place to put one. And the only available audio output is an optical digital audio port, which limits your selection of soundbars.

    The Bottom Line:

Gorgeous TV by any visual standard, well worth the price, but OTOH the sound definitely does not measure up to the price tag. I don't regret this purchase by any means, but if high-grade audio is something you care a lot about, you might want to go for a different model.
