The oven has worked great so far. Bakes evenly and wasn't hard to figure out how to use. It's quieter than my 18 year old kitchen aid it replaced. My only complaint would be that it protrudes out from the opening. I didn't realize there was an additional flush mount kit that I needed to order to get it flush like the old one. Best Buy doesn't sell the kit so they wouldn't have installed it that way anyway I guess although it is a safety concern. The part of the door that sticks out is obviously hot to the touch. Would have done it differently if I had known about the kit.

Arrived on time(unlike most other stores) and local installer did a great job. It all went smooth! Still learning all the new features but so far it’s a great oven and just in time for the holidays.

First, this is an excellent oven. That being said, for those of you looking to replace an older KitchenAid double oven with a new one as I did, be advised the control panel is taller by about half an inch over the older models. It still has the same cutout/mounting requirements, but the exterior dimension is taller. This meant the cabinet doors above the oven wouldn't fit. In my application, I was able to lower the shelf the oven sits on, and all was well.

Delivered and installed oven with broken glass. The bottom ovens glass was completely shattered and the installation professional told me he thought it was supposed to look that way. Exchanged the item, waited another week for delivery and installation. When they arrived the guy couldn’t install it because he wasn’t a part of the install team. Ticket was wrong. Still waiting on an oven to be delivered and installed and it is almost 4 weeks since purchase. First appliance purchase at Best Buy, needless to say I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend spending $4,000.00 with this company.

Excellent product that performs as stated and advertised.

I’ve always wanted a double oven and the Kitchenaid was the perfect model for my needs. I wish there was a timer for each oven but I just use the alarm on my cell phone. Also the timer alert isn’t loud enough. Besides those two items it is perfect.

I’m building a house so this oven has been in its box for a couple of weeks. I just opened the box for install and noticed 2 spots where the enamel is messed up where the door attaches to the clips. I am now trying to get a new door to replace the bottom door only. We’ll see if my star rating goes up. I haven’t used it yet. I’m familiar with this oven. Very unhappy with my first impression.

Range is just ok, but I wish I would have bought something different. I don't cook much so I was looking for just a basic white stove with a smooth cook top to replace a 20+ year-old old stove that had raised burners.

I've had GE appliances in the past, which were fine ... but I am a bit disappointed at how cheap this range feels, even tho it was $600+.

The worst feature is the stove drawer ... it's very flimsy and looks terrible in person as there is a huge gap between the bottom of the oven door and the top of the drawer. At first I thought maybe it was not sitting correctly on the track, but apparently that is how it is supposed to be, according to the user guide.

And, there are even a few spots on the edges of the drawer that are not even painted. With a quick look it seems like the paint is chipped, but then you realize it is the same on both sides of the drawer.

Since getting the new range, I've used the cooktop a few times and used the oven once to bake chicken ... all of that seems to work as it should.

I was a little skeptical of this because it was not self cleaning. Then I thought about it and I done really like the self cleaning ovens anyway they are hot and smelly. Great stove so far

I am overall very happy with it. It has a timer so i am able to leave for work and set the timer so my husband knows when to get the food out.

I was in love with it when I got it but after cleaning it the paint started to come out. How can a brand new store already look like that and I don’t even cook everyday

This range works great! User friendly control panel, cook top cleans up nicely with the smooth top cleaner. The rapid boil feature is amazing and the 2-size front burner is convenient. The delivery men were extremely professional and nice. My only complaint is the oven window. For some strange reason the manufacturer thought it would be a good idea to put a white dotted covering over the oven window and it makes it difficult to see inside the oven. Why would they do this?? Even with the oven light on, it is not easy to see what's inside. If they had just left this off and left the window clear, this range would have gotten 5 stars.

We had to replace our current 4 top burner stove and decided to purchase this one absolutely love it i would recommend purchasing the cleaner for the stove abrasive cleaners can scratch the top

Pebbled surface made me nervous at first, but it helps the glass top look good between cleanings. Large drawer. This stove is not self-cleaning which I do not use anyway.

It is a good stove. For the price it is really good. Everything works as it should. My only complaint is the stove top is really hard to get cleaned. Over all it is worth the money.

I bought this to replace an ancient whirlpool stove that was at my house when I bought it. I was into the idea of having a single oven I could make into a double oven and Samsung makes pretty good stuff most of the time.

Please note, this IS a smart oven. I did not know that when I bought it. Oh well. I'm also reviewing the electric stove option, not the gas range.

Pros.

1. Cook top is gorgeous and relatively easy to maintain. Glass tops are difficult by nature but this one stays relatively clean.

2. The burners turn in and heat up pretty quickly. I have flat cookware so stuff like water boils stupid fast compared to my old range.

3. The oven has both conventional and convection options.

4. I got mine in dark stainless steel and it's a mean looking thing in my kitchen.

5. It is super easy to engage the dual oven mode. Just slot the divider in the appropriate spot. There are spots in the side of the oven that show you where.

6. It had no problem connecting to the Samsung SmartThings app.

7. There are a ton of options. For instance, you can do a steam clean or a classic "crank the heat up til everything dies" self clean. It also has a proofer mode, dehydration mode, etc. I haven't played with all of them yet.

8. The door has a top half for easy access in dual mode.

9. It was delivered relatively quickly and seems to be in stock more consistently than some brands, like Kitchenaid, which quoted me 8 weeks for delivery.

10. The bottom drawer is well designed for maximum storage compared to most competitors.

11. I like that Samsung let's you control all burners with dials in all modes.

12. The oven has a live reading of its internal temperature as it heats up so you can see its progress. It also heats up pretty quickly in convection mode. It heats up even faster in dual mode because of the smaller spaces.

Neutral points

1. The interface is touch sensitive rather than physical buttons. Dunno how I feel about that yet.

2. The SmartThings app is nice, but it's only really useful for pre-heating, getting notifications when food is done, etc. I wish it had more versatility and a little more control. For instance, I can set the temp and a timer simultaneously, but not one at a time for some reason.

3. The hot surface light and cook top on light doesn't indicate which part of the surface is hot. No biggie but I heat some stoves do that now.

Cons

1. Touch interface freezes up from time to time. It's a brief lock up and usually resolves in a moment or two, but electronics freezing up always makes me weary. As long as it never gets any worse I think it'll be fine.

2. The door has a top portion for easy access to the top during dual oven mode. However, if you want to get to the bottom half, you have to open the whole door. My advice is put the thing that'll cook the longest on the bottom half so you don't have to open the whole door to get to it.

3. Some of the settings, like favorite cook settings, are a little silly. It takes as much time to hit all that crap as it does to just manually set the oven.

4. The cook top is a fingerprint magnet and that's annoying sometimes. However, the oven controls are surprisingly fingerprint resistant, which I like.

5. It's just a bit pricey, so I'm not giving this points for value. You can get most of this without the dual oven feature in a cheaper Samsung range for about $600, even down to the same metal stove top knobs with the red indicators.

Overall, I'm quite happy with this purchase as long as the oven UI lock up issue never gets any worse than it is right now. Using convection over conventional takes some trial and error (my advice, use the same temp but reduce cook time by 20% OR reduce temp by 25 degrees and cook for the same amount of time) but there is a conventional heating element in there as well if you want to use that.

You should note that in dual oven mode, the upper half HAS to use convection or broiler because it can't heat up using the bottom heating element. Additionally, because it's not a true double oven, the maximum temperature difference between the two halves is like 75 degrees or so. Thus, you can do something at 350F and 425F, but not at 350F and 450F or 275F and 400F. It's not the biggest deal, though, because even with a maximum difference like that, it should still cook most things and you can always convert it back to a single oven if necessary. Generally, if I'm cooking something low and slow, I'll just use it as a single oven and cook everything else later (stuff like that has to rest after cooking anyway lol).

In any case, I would recommend this stove as long as you don't mind the oven UI locking up from time to time and the dual oven mode having some restrictions. Haven't messed up any dishes in this bad boy yet.

Last tip. I leave the oven in dual mode all the time and only heat up half of the oven (the upper half) if I only need to bake one dish. It heats up way faster than if I use the whole oven and saves a bunch of time. I only use single oven mode (and conventional oven mode) for bread and that's only until I can lock down the conversion to convection for bread and pastry items :)

I can't believe how much of an improvement the Samsung Flex Duo Range has transformed my kitchen, it is simply stunning. The ceramic cooktop will take used to cooking on a coil design electric top you will have to adjust your previous cook times accordingly. The range comes with 2 large dual ring burners up front 2 smaller single ring burners in the back and one warming ring. The 2 larger burners feature rapid boil technology and all burners feature a cycling system which help with keeping temperature at a constant. The burners glow red when on and there is a light near the knobs indicating that the range is on and another light that stays on and lets you know that the cook top is still hot and turns off once the cooktop is safe to touch. I have cooked rice, soups, chops, and numerous other dishes and they have all turned out better than they ever did on my other range..

The convection oven is whole new way to bake and roast. You will need to read the book and adjust cooking times for your recipes when using the convection feature but Samsung makes it so easy because they included a conversion feature that will automatically convert your cook time and temperature so that all of your baking comes out picture perfect. The Flex Duo allows you to cook two different items at two different temperatures and times. The dual door lets you check on your top item without having to open your whole oven up. My teenagers love the Flex Duo because they can just use the top portion of the oven and cook something really fast without having to use the whole oven, it’s perfect for pizza rolls and frozen pizzas. Another great thing about the oven is you can take out the divider and use the whole oven which is perfect for baking and roasting large items like a turkey. The Flex Duo makes oven cleaning a breeze by including a self cleaning high heat mode and a steam cleaning mode.

Samsung also included wireless smart technology so that you can control it using a tablet or smartphone, by connecting the Flex Duo to a wireless network you will be notified when your pre-heated oven is ready for use and when a timer is done or if you just need to turn your oven off. Samsung has really outdone itself this time by packing so many great features into this Flex Duo Range making it one of the best ranges on the market.

My new range was delivered just a few days ago as a replacement. Recently the range that had been in my condo, likely since it was built, caught on fire and was ruined. My kitchen has been a hodgepodge of appliances, Samsung fridge (purchased 12/17), LG microwave. GE range and dishwasher. I love the look of the new range in black stainless steel matching my refrigerator. I’m so looking forward to The much needed replacing of my microwave and eventually dishwasher. This was a quick upgrade to the look of my kitchen and I love it! I’ll post more once I have the opportunity to try out the double oven features.

Love this range! I love that I can use the oven as one big oven or two separate ovens! The only thing that I have seen is that it gets finger prints pretty easy but besides that it’s an awesome range that can steam clean itself.

It's black stainless steel and what I don't like about it is like cooked on it tonight and it left parks around the range where my it splashed are like that black stainless came off

I absolutely loved my stove and was so excited when I purchased my flex stove, microwave and dishwasher to match! HOWEVER, the stove STOPPED WORKING just under two years. It was a thermostat sensor so we replaced the thermometer and it worked for about a month and now both the stove and the microwave are not working. The stove is having the SAME problem again and the microwave humidity sensor is not working so we can not use many functions/buttons now. I have read many other reviews and other people have had the SAME issue with these. I am so disappointed! My last stove lasted for almost 20 years and when I replaced it, it was still working. I only replaced it bc we remodeled my kitchen and I loved the "flex" idea. I also wanted my appliances to match. You would think with how much these cost, it would last longer the 2 years. Also, since the microwave is an over the range item it would be built to withstand steam. It is probably only a matter of time before the dishwasher stops working too. I am so disappointed! The quality has really gone down hill with Samsung. Now we will need to replace my stove and microwave! Please DO NOT buy this item! In 2 years you will be very disappointed!

Previously, we had a stove that was over 20 years old. It was slow to preheat and had issues maintaining the heat. My wife and I decided a new stove was going to be needed.

This stove looked great, had great reviews, and was fairly priced for what it had. It preheats fast, keeps the temperature, and is easy to clean.

Yesterday (Thanksgiving 2018), we were planning to fry the turkey. However, an issue came up and we were unable to use the fryer. We turned the oven on to 350 degrees (preheating in about 4 minutes) and put the turkey in the bottom section. 3 hours later, it was fully cooked (around 15 pound turkey, no stuffing or anything inside it).

This oven is amazing and will always be known to us as saving our Thanksgiving.

I’m just so sad. The first one arrived and the stove was broken to the point of being a safety concern. They ordered the next one and it’s been working fine until the first time I tried the self-clean cycle on Saturday. I called Samsung but they were not able to help me, called Best Buy but they would not help me because I did not buy an extended warranty. Finally got someone to come out and take a look. This particular model is very defective. When you run the self clean cycle it will get too hot and short out the circuitboard and that’s exactly what happened. Google this and you will see how many people this has happened too. Just very sad! The second range is 13 months old now.

I will say that the ovens preheat extremely quickly! It also cooks most things at a much faster rate. The black stainless color goes well with a variety of cabinet colors. The Touch controls for the oven can be difficult for the bottom oven and we often have to press or hold them several times to get them to work.

The delivery was fast and service is good: as I required, they rang the door and let me open the garage then unloaded there.

Have installed for about two weeks. Only used the oven once - the bread was good, so I assume the temperature should be accurate. Love the steam and crisp function of the microwave oven! The steamed fish filet came out just like when I cooked it in a steamer! Crisp Pan for Tortilla, asparagus, bell pepper, ... all came out perfect! And faster than cooked in oven.

The only thing i’m not happy with is that the oven cools down by fanning hot air downwards, so directly towards the drawers under the appliance. After baking a bread, the whole cooling down makes the drawer holders very hot!

Some of the reviews I read stated the oven was loud. I have found it to be extremely quiet. Very pleased with the product.

We purchased this item during the Christmas holiday season because of the great KitchenAid reputation and overall great review ratings. However, just before the return policy ended, the microwave started to make a buzzing noise from time to time. My research told me that it was the magnetron going out. My local store arrange for me to get a new one. However this time I purchased the extended warranty. As of this review, I haven’t gotten the new one yet but it is scheduled. We love the way the unit looks and was pleased for the first 2 weeks. I’ll update more on this after the new one is installed.

We used to have a double oven before we purchased this beautiful KitchenAid oven. We never used the bottom oven at all. We are so please with this product and wonder why we hadn’t purchased sooner. The microwave above the oven was a wonderful idea to save space. We love our oven/microwave!!

LOVE my wall/microwave oven. My favorite option on the microwave is the reheat. It allows you to choose what you are reheating then sets the appropriate time in doing so. Also, over all the microwave heats food perfectly. As for the oven. I love the easy slide out of the shelves. Also the cool down method. I would highly recommend this oven combo!

Replaced an earlier model and well satisfied with the technical improvements—stainless steel finish is wonderful—new control panel layout is much easier to utilize—

I received the product on June 7th. and due to a delay with the contractor, the boxes were opened only today June 28th.

The glass on the microwave door was broken. I called customer service and they told me that the exchange period ends at 15 days. Unbelievable in a brand new unboxed and expensive appliance.

Now I have to go with the manufacturers warranty.

Replacing our previous Kitchen Aid oven/microwave combo was the natural thing to do. Still a perfect fit in our custom kitchen. The new one is much prettier with the blue inside of the oven and better lighting. The microwave is also a stronger unit. More sophisticated controls dial in cooking easier than the old one.

My only complaint is it took 6 months to receive the unit. The installation crew scratched our hardwood floor we had just refinish, but the company quickly paid to have it fixed. Now we’re just hoping the floor repair company can do this in less than 6 months.

Just bought our first home and this range. We are absolutely obsessed. Love the flat top grill area in the middle. Highly recommend!

Again, DO NOT use Best Buy delivery. Save the multiple headaches and deliver home yourselves.

First I just wanted to say how much we love our new stove. It is very easy to use and we love the convection oven option. It helps reduce baking time and the food comes out delicious.

After preheating the oven and heat begins to build up the touch screen buttons bubble up from the heat. Also the self clean oven leaves a white residue from the water at the bottom of the oven.

Got my gas range! Big, beautiful and powerful. Not as hard to clean as I thought after years of radiant heat cooktop. Just watch out for height from above microwave. Geek Squad was able to adjust stove so we are good.

I have had this stove for about 4 weeks now. It is really nice. I would recommend getting the upgraded griddle that is actually cast iron for the middle. I also purchased the standard grates for the middle as well, which allows me to use regular pots and such on the middle burner. All and all very nice stove.

We had the Best installers that we could of ever had. They were very professional & careful installing our stove with a lot of caution. He explained everything what he was doing & showing us everything that we needed to & more. I had another gas stove in the past installed but nothing like this gentleman. I will only have Best Buy products with his highly skilled licensed installers now on. Very satisfied !! Thank you! The Kado’s

Ample room, Slide out rackets prevents heavy items from tipping out when pulling the rack. I like the controls and the options to use the knobs or the touchscreen. plenty of options including steam bake and broil. The only word of caution is that if this is a replacement then have it measured for appropriate rough opening. More importantly the depth as that would definitely require a new cabinet. We had to have about 1/2 inch cut for the height. Fortunately there was room at the top to do so. Happy Baking

Annoying fan noise from lower oven when placed in convection mode. Apparently it’s a known issue, based on previous customer complaints. It heats up fast, bakes and roasts really well. But for the price the noise is annoying. Calls placed to Samsung leads to more frustration. I sent multiple emails of receipts to prove that I bought the oven and yet Samsung claims that I’m out of warranty.

My new double ovens were finally delivered and installed, and I couldn’t be more pleased. They are an amazing addition to my kitchen. I installed the 30” Flex Duo Double Wall Oven in Black Stainless and they look great! They look both sleek and stylish both inside and out. As soon as they were ready, I started cooking things I haven’t tried in years just to see how they would turn out. I have baked breads, cooked casseroles, pot roast, and cookies to name a few. They all turned out perfect without any burning or over cooking.

There are several features that I love about these ovens. The oven racks are much stronger than my last oven. I can finally use by cast iron pots without feeling like the racks will give out under the extra weight. The racks with the built-in slide are super helpful and easy to use. I really like the look of the combination of the digital and analog dials. Together, they make a high-end oven easy to use.

The smart home option is a great feature with these ovens. I can turn it on remotely so that it saves me time preheating when I get home. I can also use the app to check the temperature and timer so that I can keep an eye on it if I am in another location. The digital interface is simple and straightforward to use.

Overall, I would give Samsung extremely high marks on their double ovens for both design and ease of use. They have added a lot of features that makes it a great addition to any kitchen. I happily recommend this product to anyone.

I preferred knobs to full digital panel and wanted more than two racks per oven without having to purchase separately—easy to find in a luxury appliance, not so easy in the moderate price range. This oven fit the bill. The flex duo is by far my favorite feature. The ovens are being given a full workout during the holidays and I am very pleased with how fast they heat, even cooking, not too noisy and they cool down pretty rapidly. I can use all 3 racks to bake cookies without uneven results. Overall, a bargain compared to a luxury oven with comparable features, for several thousand less. This is my second Samsung appliance and thus far, I am very happy with it.

So I originally purchased the model below this one and then changed my mind after seeing the available options this comes with. I LOVE this oven. It looks great and performs even better. Steam cook works amazing. The built in thermometer comes in handy when cooking large pieces of meat for long periods of time and not having to open the oven to check the temp. Controls are easy to set. Convection is amazing for getting that nice even cook while keeping things juicy on the inside, the flex cook gives you the ability to basically have three separate cooking temps for three separate cooks!!!

Arrived damaged but Best Buy sent a new one. Always unpackaged before the delivery truck leave! Appearance is amazing. Many options. Wish the clocked had option to stay on all the time. It shuts off after an hour. If you open it turns back on. So far so good!

We recently purchased the Flex Duo Samsung Wall Oven and have not had a chance to use all its purported great features such as Steam Cook teh Flex-Duo, or the self cleaning option. Perhaps after I get used to it my rating will increase.

My big complaint is that the temperature CANNOT be set lower than 175 deg F which is the preset "Keep Warm" temperature. This is really too hot for already fully cooked hot food that you want to just keep warm. I called the company and was told there is no way to set the temperature any lower. There is also a "bread proof" option but the preset temperature is a mystery. I called for support on this to find out what the preset temperature is for this function and was told I could purchase an oven thermometer to find out. It also appears there is no way to set a cook time (when you first turn on the oven) such the it begins timing when the oven reaches the desired temperature. For example, you put in something that you want to cook at 400 F for an hour. If you set the cook time when you first turn on the oven It starts counting the hour then, not when it reaches 400 F. So you have to wait and watch to see when the oven reaches the desired temperature and THEN set the cook time.

My last complaint is that with all this technology, it should be possible to set the temperature to change part way through the cooking, ie., cook at 425 F for 15 min then 350 for 15 min. I called support and was told that feature is not available. So again, you have to set a timer for 15 min and then remember to turn the temperature down and reset the cook time.

I called for support on this to find out what the preset temperature is for this function and was told I could purchase an oven thermometer to find out. It also appears there is no way to set a cook time (when you first turn on the oven) such the it begins timing when the oven reaches the desired temperature. For example, you put in something that you want to cook at 400 F for an hour. If you set the cook time when you first turn on the oven It starts counting the hour then, not when it reaches 400 F. So you have to wait and watch to see when the oven reaches the desired temperature and THEN set the cook time.

My last complaint is that with all this technology, it should be possible to set the temperature to change part way through the cooking, ie., cook at 425 F for 15 min then 350 for 15 min. I called support and was told that feature is not available. So again, you have to set a timer for 15 min and then remember to turn the temperature down and reset the cook time.

Omg I'm so thankful i decided to purchase this oven i love it so much and let me tell u it surpasses all my expectations.

Unpacked the stove, put everything together then saw that the top was stainless. Sending it back as it would be a nightmare to keep clean. Had to wait till Monday so I used it till then as I had no other. After dinner I used a damp sponge to wipe the top off and a dish towel to dry it. Dinner never happened. You would need a forensic investigator, ( before I get educated on the definition of forensic, please be advised that some of my culinary innovations have been referred to as "crimes against humanity".),to determine if it had been used. It also had a power burner that was WAY to hot. When I learned how it worked, it became my go to flame. Hot hot to low low and every temp in between This is not a cheep date but as I was researching stoves, this fortunately went on sale. Note that I have the slide in version, not freestanding as pictured in the ad,

So we got our new a Samsung 5.8 cu. ft. Freestanding Gas Range with 16K and 15K BTU Power Burners w/Flex Duo™ dual doors and WiFi. It has 5 burners, two of which are power burners and one for simmering. The dual ovens are going to come in handy when the kids start baking and for those home made pizzas I make. So far so good, water boils within a couple of minutes, and the burners cook very evenly, much better then our old stove. I just bought all the ingredients for making my pizzas. Being part of the “Smart Things” when I preheat the oven, it tells me it’s ready on the fridge, phones and TV. It will also notify you when your timer is done and you can choose to turn off the oven or keep it going for a little longer. It seemed like the house did not get as hot when cooking with this oven. The burners are placed just far enough for you to use all at once but we really like having a center one. Sometimes frying food you feel that the ones in the back might splash oil and the ones in the front is too close to you, the the middle one has that perfect placement. This is by far the best stove/oven we have owned.

Very disappointed. Purchased this in black stainless steel thinking it was premium product (paid more) only to have black finish to start peeling in less then 2 years.

I have only used approved cleaner recommended by BB sales team when I purchased this stove, refrigerator and microwave. When wiping down with cleaner and terry cloth towel the finish started peeling. I also bought extended warranty and BB will not cover fixing. I can understand if this was caused by damage due to misuse or accident but this is happening due to standard cleaning.

When I called out service tech he stated this is not uncommon for Samsung. Needless to say I’ll be buying all LG from now on.

Wow! This is such a great stove and oven. I love the flexibility to use it as either 1 or 2 ovens with 2 different temperature settings. The color is great and so sleek looking.

Best range I have ever used, works perfect and can control from my phone.

Must have gas oven. Bottom heats up fast. Trying to get used to convection. Sharp!

Our range was delivered 6 months ago. I have refrained from reviewing it until now in order to give it a fair test. I am disappointed.

First, the advertising implies the Duo Flex is the equivalent of a double oven, each with full convection. As explained to us by a repair person (called out because a burner required more adjustment than we could make) the only true convection is when you use it as a single oven.

The range seems to be very poorly insulated. When you use both ovens or run the self-cleaning feature, even open doors and windows cannot keep the heat in the kitchen down to bearable levels.

Because it is a 30" range, the five burners are necessarily crowded. As a result, it often is difficult to use more than two pans at one time, particularly if one is a wok or a 12" cast iron frying pan.

The surface of the range is very hard to keep clean, both because it shows off every smidgeon of grease that escapes a pan and because the burner assemblies are so light that I choose to remove them rather than risk bumping them out of place and breaking the igniter. Too, the deeply depressed surface makes it difficult to get bits of food out of it.

(I may invest $50 in a custom-fit mat for the range top. If I do, I'll update this to tell you how that works.)

It is very light. I have not been able to use the anti-tip device to hold it in place due to the construction of our kitchen. It can take a while to learn how to open the oven door without pulling the range away from the wall, especially when opening just the upper half of the door.

I ran the self-cleaning routine last night, as I went to bed. The kitchen was a dry sauna in the first hour, even with the door and windows open and the ceiling fan on. (My wife says we can simply leave the oven on and the furnace off this winter.) When my wife checked it his morning, she found that the porcelain on the bottom of the range was burned off in three areas. It should be a simple replacement but it merely confirms my belief we made a mistake buying this.

The extra burner on top came in handy as did the separate ovens for cooking different things at different temperatures at the same time...we had 16 adults and 5 kids over for Thanksgiving...this Samsung Double Oven was a Life Saver!!!

We purchased this Thermador MED301WS/02 oven in mid-September. It arrived in mid-October and was installed on October 20th, 2020. We previously owned a Thermador oven (SEC301BS) and were so happy with it that we were very anxious to have our new Thermador oven installed. The overall oven is wonderful and the touch features and Home Connect is very nice. However, the volume on the kitchen and oven timers is terrible. We have our volume set at 5 which is the highest setting and it is inaudible. I can be a few feet away from our oven and when the time goes off and it cannot be heard. I was sure there was something wrong, since the timer volume on our last Thermador was great. So, I called the Thermador Customer Service number in the manual and talked with the rep. She set us up for a service appointment with BSH Home Appliance. The service representative came out and checked to make sure we had everything set correctly (which we did) and he confirmed that the volume we were hearing was the loudest it would go. He also confirmed that there is no fix or repair to correct this issue at this time – so this is the best it can be!! This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! We paid almost $5000 for this new Thermador oven and the speaker for the timer is so bad that you can’t even hear it when the oven is preheated and ready to go or the food that you are cooking is done!! The timer feature is essentially useless!! It is clear that someone in Quality Control did not do their job on this new oven design!! It is so sad that we paid all this money for an oven and we need to go out and buy an external timer so we know when our food that we are cooking is done!! Unheard of!!! I am sure I am not the first to complain about this issue and I definitely will not be the last. Thermador is known for quality, reliability, innovativeness and efficiency in the kitchen. I love to cook and bake and use my oven quite extensively – and really need this feature fixed. We are hoping that Thermador is able to address this issue and provide us a fix at some point in the future. If and when they do, I will gladly update the review.
