Hardwire your radar detector with this Uniden hardware kit. It's compatible with several models and frees up your 12V outlet for charging a GPS or smartphone.
I bought this to wire my Uniden R3. I have had it for almost 6 months now and I am very happy with my purchase. It comes with an inline fuse and has been very reliable since I installed it. No power loss or errors.
May 16, 2020 22:47It's what I wanted and easy to install. Put it close to where you can reach it so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. I would buy again.
Feb 05, 2021 15:40Works well. Small size yet the quality seems to notch.
Jan 03, 2020 17:03love this item and it works great on both vehicles. Highly recommend this product.
Jan 30, 2021 12:43Powercord for Uniden invisible in car end it works great I would buy it always again
Jan 22, 2021 21:32Bought this so I could have the cord hidden at running to the top of my windshield. Geek Squad installed it in about 2 hours. I had them hide the alert/mute box underneath my dash because it’s an unnecessary item. All in all, it works like it’s suppose too.
Jan 26, 2020 20:29By far the best security system out there. The quality is second to none.
Jan 04, 2021 19:44Love this item because it works great with my radar.
Jan 28, 2021 06:23Stay aware of authorities on the road with this Uniden long-range radar detector. Its extreme radar sensitivity picks up surrounding signals quickly, and its GPS feature delivers red light camera alerts to keep you informed while you drive. Fantastic! We used this driving from California to the Carolinas and back and this radar detector was awesome.
It picked up just about every police car unless they were not using their guns.
We also used waze just to be aware of all conditions.
I estimate this unit saved us about 5 tickets...
I did find the Velcro is fine but its adhesive could not take all the road vibrations... I supported the unit with my sunglass case wedged underneath.
We Highly recommend this radar detector.

Feb 07, 2021 17:36I am well pleased with the Uniden R3 radar detector. It has a very long range. It works great. I would recommend it.
May 19, 2021 14:27This detector is fantastic! It's got the longest range out of any detector on the market at any price. It has excellent false alert filtering, lots of useful features, and is more capable than detectors that cost hundreds of dollars more. I've got a whole bunch of detectors and this is the one I run day to day because it offers me the highest level of protection.
The range is outstanding so if you're looking at giving yourself the very best shot at detecting radar before the cop ahead can pick you up, this is the one to get.
The K band filter can filter out most blind spot monitoring false alerts (Honda/Acura/GM are the main exceptions.. no detector can filter out those yet), it has a GPS chip (unlike the Uniden R1) which lets you quiet the detector down when driving through town at low speeds, you can double press the mute button when you encounter a false alert from a speed sign or nearby automatic door opener and it'll learn and remember that signal so it mutes it for you in the future, and it can alert you to nearby redlight cameras and speed cameras.
Finally, unlike most other detectors on the market, it is also undetectable by radar detector detectors.
This detector has proved extremely popular among radar detector enthusiasts and is generally the one I recommend. What about other detectors to consider? You've got the V1 and Max360 if you want arrows (yes the R3 can pick up signals from all directions too.. it just can't tell you if the signal is ahead or behind). The Max360 or Redline EX can also learn where stationary false alerts are around town like the R3, but unlike the R3 which requires you to manually teach it what's a false alert in the beginning, the Escorts can learn and filter those out automatically, hands-free, after you pass by them several times. There's also remote detectors available like the Net Radar and Stinger VIP if you don't want something mounted on your windshield.
There's lots of excellent detectors available on the market. However, for the highest level of protection and an all-around excellent radar detector, the Uniden R3 is the one to get.
Aug 15, 2017 16:59I just bought a new car, so I knew I was going to need a nice Radar detector. After doing some research and reading the reviews, I knew this Uniden was the one I needed.
Apr 12, 2021 11:24I was traveling out of town for work the other day and completely avoided getting a ticket. Not so lucky for the guy who passed me. I was going only 5 miles over in the passing lane when my radar went off. I immediately corrected my speed and scooted over to the slower lane. At this time the car behind me proceeded speeding 5 miles over. About a minute later the cops that were scoping out for speeders, nabbed him. Even if the darn thing notifies me of everything, it’s paid for itself. I feel a lot safer with it everywhere I go.
Aug 22, 2019 22:13I would not travel anywhere without this. I have never been pulled over with my radar detector. Must have!
Dec 26, 2020 12:21I did a lot of research before buying the r3 and I am glad I did.

Feb 01, 2019 19:16First unit: I bought this redar detector in April and within two weeks it was giving me erroneous Ka band readings. It would alert sometimes for ten minutes or more while driving and I would have to unplug it to reset the alerts. I called Escort and checked for an update. It still falsely alerted after the update, so I returned and exchanged it at Best buy on May 1.
Second unit: After the exchange I immediately updated the new unit. Five weeks later, same problem. False Ka band readings, basically rendering the detector unusable, and definitely making it untrustworthy. I again called Escort, and now my return-to-store period is over, I'm told I would have to return this unit to Escort for repair. Then I'm told their repair center is closed due to Covid-19 and it *might* reopen at a limited capaity sometime in July. After a lengthy conversation expressing my frustrations the representative gets authorization to replace my unit. I received the 2nd new detector in the mail today, 6/23.
3rd unit: New in box. For sale, cheap! I bought a Uniden R7 and bought the Uniden mounting pieces to modify my blendmount from the Escort to the Uniden.
This radar detector has saved me from a few tickets in the short time I've owned it, that's the only thing saving it from a one star review.
You should skip purchasing this one.

So this is the first radar detector I’ve ever owned. But I have family who have had some lesser respected radar brands. And they wouldn’t say great things. But as far as escort goes. I have always heard great things from their high end to their mid range(Max 3) and even down to the lower end. So the escort Max 3 is definitely the best mid range on offer. Price might look high on paper but the value of a well built consistent police alerting system is well worth it. As most know a speeding ticket can go up to 500$ depending on speed and where you get caught. I’ve had alert well down the road to where a police officer was scanning. This model even has built in warnings for speed cameras. Which are more prevalent nowadays as counties reply more on that revenue. That’s a great added feature. Also included is a speed limit warning as well. Helps me slow down sometimes. The app is great as well. It essentially mirrors the radar and allows you to adjust settings. The screen is super bright thanks to the oled screen. Nice!
The set up and included mounting hardware is genius. You don’t think about how little things like how you mount the radar would matters. Until you get the windshield Mount that is included. It’s magnetic and is literally the easy I’ve tried. Simple and easy. So like I said.
Yes it’s a radar detector and it basically has one job. But it does that job well. And I feel safer driving now. As I do drive as if I’m in a rush. So you know. This is a must.
Highly recommend.
The only thing that I didn’t like is that escort only includes a 12v cigarette plug and it’s very short. No extra long mini usb wire was included. And most cars have the plug in the center console. Plus the power wire is a old style phone plug thingy. Not worth deducting a star. But u might have to buy an extra wire.
Oct 14, 2020 14:49The detector and the free Escort Live app are surprisingly easy to set up, and the app is NOT necessary to use the detector.
The accompanying “Owner’s Manual” covers enough to start using, but many options not explained well, if at all. For example, even though it is advertised to detect six different signals, about two gazillion are listed in the app’s radar setup (see photo). No idea what they are or where/when they might be encountered. Might also be useful to at least understand why some of them are initially disabled. A more useful Owner’s Manual is available online, but it doesn’t list the multitude of detectable signals. I guess I’ll have to Google that, like I had to do for the manual.
A really good feature of the Max 3 is the ability to ignore the signals that many modern vehicles use to sense nearby traffic or objects. (That probably accounts for some of the undocumented signals.) This is a VERY good thing, considering how many false alarms you could get just from 100% of the vehicles you pass (or that pass you).
The power cord is a “smart” cord (see photo). The meaning is a tad unclear - it’s not like it’s charging something - although it has a “Mute” button which functions just like the one of the unit itself. In neither of the two vehicles I’ve use the detector in was it especially handy; it was actually easier to just press the detector’s mute button. It’s nice that the cord provides a USB port, so it isn’t just taking up the 12V outlet. One downside of the power connection design is that the connection to the detector precludes using a generic power cord. In the past, I have purchased a generic power cord and hardwired it into my vehicle to save the 12V outlet and more importantly, to not have a cord draping over the car’s controls.
It’s nice that there is a mini-USB port by which you can download updates.
There are a lot of small buttons in the detector, and even though they are clearly marked, reading them is a no-go while driving. They really should be larger, at least so that glancing at them when placing and removing the unit will make their placement more familiar over time.
The window mount is a great improvement over the old style with two cheap suction cups, and the magnetic attachment to that mount is brilliant! The old style where you had to slip the detector onto a cheap little piece of sheet metal really sucked.
The unit also comes with a very nice case, which holds the power cord as well, but unfortunately doesn’t have room for the window mount. Perhaps I could spend more time trying to wiggle the pieces around to make them all fit, but I don’t feel like I should have to do that. But again, it is a nice case.
Oct 26, 2020 05:36Works great. Enough time with advanced warning to monitor my speed. Bought it because of the headphone jack as I use this on my motorcycle with a bluetooth adaptor and earbuds.
Apr 24, 2021 09:04I haven't had a radar detector in almost 20 years so this is a huge leap over my previous one. That being said I like this one due to the integration with an app on my phone to tap into GPS. The app was easy to setup and connected right away to the detector and is very easy to use.
The suction cup is very nice and the magnet it uses to connect to the mount is great for quickly taking down the detector to store in my center console. It is a powerful magnet and quickly attaches/detaches. The cord is long enough to reach without any issue and offers a USB plug to still be able to plug in your phone if you only have one cigarette lighter plug.
The detector has done a good job over the last few weeks detecting both Highway Patrol as well as City law enforcement. We also just had 2 speed signs installed near our house that use radar to tell you your speed and one nice feature of this detector is that it stored these so that it doesn't go crazy every time I approach them and remembers they are fixed radars and ignores them. When you have the app up also it will tell you what the speed limit on that road is as well as your speed at the same time.
In the past few days it has alerted me to various law enforcement and also if the app is up it will prompt you to ask if you saw them or not so that it can record it and I assume share with other Escort owners in the area.
Overall I have been happy with it and it has definitely identified various radars from different law enforcement where I live but still seems a little more expensive than most people will want to pay.
Oct 27, 2020 22:25Setup
Setup was very easy, simple plug and play followed by installing the Escort Live app for my iPhone. Installing the app is not required for device to work but it will provide more accurate results and wider area of coverage.
Experience/Feedback:
I owned several different radar detectors in last several years and some things never change: suction type mount and stretchy telephone looking cord, which honestly I am not fan of either and I would to see improvements for those. This radar detector it’s not perfect but it does seems to trigger lot less false alerts than any other model I previously used. I love the red light camera alerts which works by device GPS even without syncing and connecting my phone to detector itself. Unfortunately I live in the area with no speeding traps and I have no idea how and will it works with them. This radar detector will detect several types including laser, k-band, pop radar gun and few others. Other nice feature is display with posted speed limit and your own speed so you don’t have to keep looking for speed limit signs next to road. For better and more detailed results I would definitely suggest installing of the mobile app Escort Live which sync with radar itself. Cords seem to be pretty short for my Audi since my nearest 12V it’s under front console armrest and I will look for longer cord, but downside of that means I will have to replace the plug as well which has alert mute option.
Pros:
Red light camera alerts
Posted speed limit display
Smart app sync
Mote button on 12V plug
Cons:
Short cord
Oct 23, 2020 23:23About the Max 3 Radar Detector
The Max 3 by Escort boasts many features. It can detect 6 bands, has an app for real-time alerts and updates, has an IVT filter, uses AutoLearn technology, and can read from a “defender database”. The detector can even be updated using a cord (not supplied).
What It Comes With
The packaging includes a suction cup window mount, a case, and a 12-volt DC power source.
Features
This detector can detect 6 bands of radar; X, K, KA (photo and wideband), Laser, and Pop-Mode. It does not detect KU-Band.
The IVT feature is designed to reduce false alarms from in-vehicle technologies such as adaptive cruise control and avoidance systems.
The Defender Database includes information about known red light, speed cameras, and speed trap locations.
AutoLearn will learn, store, and reject false alarms.
Escort Live App provides real-time updates from users.
The Set-up
This is a typical set up with a 12-volt power cord and suction cup mount. The suction cup works really well, and is far better than my last Escort radar detector. It also uses a magnetic mount between the suction cup and detector which makes it easy to remove the detector. There are hardwire kits available for permanent installation.
The User Interface
The screen for the user interface is a color display that shows band and strength as well as an area that can provide your speed and the posted speed zone if logged into the database. The display has a lot of info crammed into it, and compared to my previous Escort 8500, I think that it’s harder to see. There are also moving display actions that make me think the detector is picking up something. While the display looks prettier, I think that it is harder to use. Also, the speed/posted speed zone information keeps changing to say 70 OSP. I find it annoying. This was a feature that I was looking forward to having, but I can’t rely on it to stay on.
Audio
There are audio alerts. I have a hard time hearing them while driving. The volume controls are on the top of the detector, and I am always hitting one of the other buttons when trying to turn it up or down. The 8500 had a scroll volume on the side which was much more functional. This is something that could be improved on the Max 3.
The App
Escort has an app called Escort Live to help provide user-based updates, which is a great idea. Kind of like someone marking an area on Waze or Google Maps. Unfortunately, the app caused a lot of issues on my S-20 Ultra and drained about 35% of the battery in less than 2 hours. I tried having it connect only while the detector was in use, but it wouldn’t stay in that mode. The app was causing so much trouble that I just uninstalled the whole thing. I know that apps can update, so maybe I will try this again at a later time. This was not an impressive first impression.
The Reality
I think the radar detector is probably fine as a radar detector, but the warnings are not as easy to see or hear. Kind of defeats the purpose of having one. The app is a nice idea, but obviously didn’t work well for me. All in all, I’m giving the Escort Max 3 3 stars. Escort has some improvements to make, and I will probably retry the app at a later time.
Oct 29, 2020 17:43I’ve been looking to upgrade my radar detector however there’s so many choices out there. The normal Cobra/Uniden/Escort names are really the only ones I’m familiar with. That said, what’s most important is that the radar detectors work and work well. This one seems to work pretty well and haven’t had any issues.
Included in the box is the radar detector, suction cup mount, cigarette charger and a carrying case as well as the instruction manual. Pretty simple, compact setup that’s easy to carry and transport.
The suction up mount is pretty good and provides a solid mount. It’s fall now so I really won’t know how well the mount holds up until summer rolls around. For now though, it’s pretty solid so that’s a good thing. The unit connects to the mount via a magnetic mount which provides just the right amount of support for the radar detector. It’s a solid enough mount where it’ll hang tight while you’re using it but not too strong where it’s impossible to remove the unit from the mount. You can easily connect the unit to the mount and easily take it off as well. I’m certain it’ll hold on if you hit a big bump/pothole so there’s peace of mind there.
The unit itself takes some time getting used to in terms of buttons, functionality, etc. I had a Cobra one before so I got used to that setup. A good look through of the manual is in order for me. I use this radar detector in my F150 so the cigarette power cable is just the right length for my truck. I believe there is a hardwire kit available so I’ll probably get that. I have a dash cam too that’s hardwired so it’ll give my truck a nice, cleaner look.
There is also a companion app to use with this radar detector. It requires a subscription to use however I haven’t gotten to it yet. With this radar, dash cam and another heads up display in my truck, my dash is starting to get a bit cluttered so adding another screen to look at might be a bit distracting.
As far as performance, I haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary with this. It works as intended and alerts me to known street speed traps. I have yet to go out on the highway with this but I’m certain it’ll work there as well. The unit comes defaulted to Auto mode and I’ve seen other reviews stating you should change that to get better functionality from the radar detector. I noticed that when on Auto, it seems a bit sketchy in terms of alerts and such. There’s still a bit of a learning curve for me with this thing but, overall, seems to function/operate similarly to most other well known radar detector brands.
Hoping this thing works superbly so I won’t get any speeding tickets.
Oct 14, 2020 17:02I haven't encoutered a lot of radar hits, but the few times I have they were detected in plenty of time, showing the Escort Max 3 has very good range. The only caveat is that while the radar indicator displayed from weak to strong signal, the audio did not give any warning. It may simply be user error, but I haven't had the opportunity to really sort it out as I haven't encountered a lot of warnings. On one hand, this is good as it means there are not a lot of false warnings, but with the lack of encounters it may take me some time to sort this out.
A feature I really like is the GPS lockout. As you drive around, the Max 3 learns stationary speed signs on the side of the road and from automatic door openers in shopping centers. After multiple passes as it learns them it will display “Stored” on screen. After that, it will mute those alerts and keep them grayed out on screen so they don't set off an alarm every time you pass by them.
Thanks to the built in Bluetooth, you can connect it to your phone and run the Escort Live app. Using the app, you can easily change settings, log your alerts, display the current speed limit on the Max 3's display, and it even shares alerts in realtime with other drivers.
The cloud alerts works in a similar fashion as Waze, reporting any alerts but does so automatically. Very nifty.
While nothing is perfect, I feel overall the Max 3 is easy to use, offers very good performance, effective false alert filtering, redlight camera and speed camera alerts, automatic GPS lockouts, realtime alerts that are shared with other drivers via the cloud, and it even offers laser jammer integration. The Max 3 offers a high level of protection with lots of cool features.

Most of the time my detect a x, k,Ka band or a laser on the highway there is no state troopers around. I would like to know if it's from other cars who have the same device.
May 31, 2019 18:04Got this to replace my other Escort, it's display went black. This unit worked ok until the audio warning stopped. Almost missed a few warning and don't know how many I did miss. I updated the firmware a few times and it didn't work. I opened it up and found the speaker used a cheap tin connector to connect to the main circuit board. I cleaned the contacts by re-seating the connector a few times. I put it back together and it fixed the problem. The tin connectors oxidize (think rust) and this oxide is an insulator and prevents the signal going to the speaker. The contacts being rubbed back and forth cleans the oxide off and restores the connections. It was pretty CHEAP of Escort to use such a bad connector in this HIGH priced device. SUGGEST that they spend another 3 cents and use a connector that won't fail. How often do one of your electronic devices fail because a connector have to be re-seated?
Mar 29, 2021 05:02the radar does what is expected is quite accurate and helpful with arrows. the stickycup has a fault in its manufacture if you leave the radar placed in a week the plastic that supports the weight of the radar and the frame is broken and two radars returned ppr because of that the radar falls to the ground of the car. escort offers to send a new mount for free but the same will happen again to a defect
Apr 26, 2019 18:13If you have a lead foot, get this device. It’s very very good. Alerts, warnings, and overall functions are amazing.
Mar 05, 2021 17:58Escort Max 360 Radar is definitely a must have. Awesome product!!! Price is up there, but definitely worth it!!
Sep 11, 2020 21:10Incredible device I like the GPS function of it capable of locking out signals as I drive down the road very accurate
Jul 26, 2019 16:15This is my 5 one I love it hands down ............
Mar 27, 2020 16:22This Escort Max360c has paid for itself in just under a month. I have a CDL and have a tendency to have a heavy foot when not in my rig. I’m an overly cautious driver but when I’m in my personal vehicle I have a tendency of not paying attention to my speed. I have the ability to set an over speed protection that will alert me of my violation, which was a money saver a quite a few times already. When I’m in Bluetooth mode it shows me current speed limits and the speed of the vehicle. Knowing my speed and speed limits is great but the distance this radar detects is amazing, it gives you more than enough time to make your adjustments. The detection distances are adjustable from city to highways Incase your in a crowded environment.
It’s a bit complicated at first on how to use/set/adjust the settings but after a bit of reading and a few YouTube videos I’m very confident on managing my Max360c.
Overall it’s amazing! I wish I would’ve bought one sooner but I bought one now and it has helped me tons. The price is a bit on the higher side but just consider the cost of a moving violation or two!!!
Jun 29, 2019 02:52Use your radar detector hands-free with this Escort StickyCup mount. Its semi-sticky gel ring adheres to your windshield even during temperature fluctuations, while its low-profile mount can be adjusted to fit any vehicle. This Escort StickyCup mount is simple to install and is compatible with the Max 360 radar detector.
The product works perfectly but I ordered it online and received the product in a ziplock bag with no instructions and no box. So, I ordered the item again and had it delivered to the store. Same thing happened, it was in a ziplock bag. I would have given this 5 stars but there should have been packaging, and instructions
Sep 24, 2021 18:41Very sticky.. My last one seemed to dry up after 3-4 years of use.
Got tired of licking it and sticking it to the window. Gave me the Heebie-Jeebies every time. How this one just sticks!!
Nov 05, 2021 15:40It sticks to the windshield just like it’s supposed to do. I’m very pleased.
Nov 26, 2021 15:18Works fine although it doesn’t stick as well as the one that came with the Escort unit. Falls off when car gets too hot inside
Nov 05, 2021 15:47Perfect replacement for the origibal mount thst broke.
Nov 17, 2021 16:19Bought this stickycup to replace my old one which melted in the hot sun. I'm hoping it will last. It works great as long as you keep it out of the direct sun light.
Aug 29, 2021 16:19Works as expected! Tried to buy too many knock offs on Amazon that broke. Glad I purchased this and from Best Buy that too!
Jul 09, 2021 15:42This replaced my broken mount as it should
Hopefully it last and I won’t need another one

Hello my name is Gloria, I had another one for many years and it broke down, I just bought this one from the same brand and it works very well, I recommend it 100%
Jan 10, 2021 17:11Works great saved me a lot of times would recommend to anyone
Oct 15, 2021 16:29Detects from an alright distance. By no means would I say it’s an extended range, especially compared to any other radar detectors I’ve used in the past. My main issue aside from the false alerts would have to be that it’s supposed to block out/eliminate blind spot mirrors and vehicle avoidance systems. This is not the case and quite the opposite in my experience. It’s been tested in a 2017 Honda Civic equipped with auto braking/lane keep assist and all I can say is I’m almost positive most of the false alerts I’m getting are from my car. Have a photo that I took from the app showing nearly 10 readings in a mile distance before arriving to my destination the other night. Will try in one of my other vehicles but as the Honda is the only vehicle I take on road trips this is upsetting. One of the main reasons I purchased this radar was to use on road trips in the Honda, which I believe is useless. Unfortunately, don’t suggest anyone spend hard earned money on this piece of garbage until they update firmware or figure something else out. Even if you don’t have a newer car changes are you’ll pass one when driving. Maybe you won’t continuously have the thing alerted you down the road but spend the extra money and get one that works.
Jun 02, 2020 06:07So I've had this radar for about 3 months now, and I can tell you that it has already saved me hundreds of dollars on speeding tickets.
I bought a rear-view mirror mount to anchor this thing in the best possible location for laser signatures (radar experts recommend using your rear-view mirror to mount any radar detector). It comes with a car charger power adapter, so if you only have one charging port in your car I'd highly recommend you get the Car and Driver extension box sold by Best Buy (its Blue) so you can charge your phone at the same time.
I have used this whilst highway driving and city driving. It picks up X, K, Ka, Laser, Spectre, VG-42. It also knows the difference between static and LIVE laser signatures. You'll want to turn off the X band since that is the majority of the time lasers from brick and mortar stores. Spectre will also give some false alerts so leave that off as well. It's worked many times so far and I would recommend this product to a friend. 5/5
Jun 14, 2021 21:09At $150 you won’t find anything that has the range and features. It’s not perfect, you have to find the sensitivity to fit your drive. Will false alarm just like any detector, when app connected it provides a ton of information and was seamless to pair to my Galaxy S9. You’d spend more than double to get a better detector, not range wise but added features like directional indicators and better false alarm prevention. It’s VG2 invisible, has tons of range and nearly any feature you’d want on a radar detector. My only real complaint is the false alerts and difficulty balancing eliminating them and still picking up legitimate threats.
Jul 17, 2020 17:45I gave it a 4 star because it's just cool. I have in in my corvette and took it on a road trip to Vegas. Maybe I use it more to check if my car battery is good cause thats the first thing it will tell you lol. I have an awesome sound system installed by best buy & i check my battery gauges often. But since i have owned it i have only had it beep once when there was a cop next to me. I get false alarms & I've had instances where there are cops around me or emergency vehicles & it has not alerted me. Guess it beeps every few minutes or secords just to remind me drive safely.
Jul 30, 2021 18:20Radar detector works great. Does not give false alarms for new vehicle side, front, and rear anti collision or lane variations.
Has excellent range. Good countermeasures says that the threat must be detected before the threat detects you.
Jan 15, 2021 19:04This product is very easy-to-use. Its been upgraded over the years. I owed an earlier model and it lasted 10 years. Its a bit too sensitive for my taste so you get some false alarms. Considering its price it does its job well. I like the app that goes with it and find it useful.
May 22, 2021 00:14Connect your radar detector to the Escort Live smartphone app with this Escort SmartCord Live. The remote control has a convenient mute setting, and the cord's USB port lets you quickly charge a compatible device. This Escort SmartCord Live pairs with the Passport 9500ix, Passport Max, Passport X70, RedLine and Beltronics GT-7 to provide wireless access and control.
For those that have older escort radar detectors this product helps “update” it a little by allowing the app to work with your older detector. Only downside is it is a little pricey.
Mar 14, 2020 10:53Does everything it’s supposed to, better quality than the last three smart cords that always failed on the mute button.
Dec 12, 2020 10:53I changed vehicles and the original cable would not work with the new vehicle. Went to best buy and I was told that I could order this cable on line. Ordered on line, fast deliver and works perfectly.
I'm a very long time and satisfied customer.
Feb 08, 2020 06:49Can’t get unit to ‘talk’ to smart cord. Calls to Escort go unaswered.
Sep 25, 2020 16:36I purchased this cord so that I could connect my 9500 to the Escort live which is an awesome app. Once more people become users of the app it will only get better Thanks!
Aug 17, 2019 00:04Excellent service, very pleased with purchase, good high quality product.
Feb 22, 2020 12:27This cable is definitely worth the price. It helps catch so many alerts and reduce false alerts. I have an x70 and just in the first day of using it I felt it was a justified purchase
Apr 11, 2019 03:28Attach your radar detector securely to your vehicle interior with this Escort suction cup windshield mount. The locking clamp lets you easily affix it to the glass, and the adjustable thumb dial lets you align the angle with your windshield. This Escort suction cup windshield mount is compatible with most Escort radar detectors.
Unlike the product description on the Best Buy website, is Does Not fit Passport Max and Max 2 models. It says it isn’t compatible directly on the packaging. I tried it anyway out of curiosity and the male mount piece seems to be wider and doesn’t fit in my Max 2 model. Returning.
Jan 09, 2020 22:31This was ordered by mistake
Thought I was purchasing the ez magnet windshield mount
Sep 28, 2021 11:00Needed to hang my radar detector in my car and this is easy to mount. On some occasions it will separate from the windshield due to the heat in the car.
Jul 18, 2020 13:36We have used sticky cup before they work ok but they can break. Probably from being in heat. And in the heat they fall.
Aug 30, 2020 15:33Got this item on sale and could not be happier. Works are described and back by Best Buy purchase protection.
Feb 19, 2021 09:28Purchased this because my wife's detector kept falling with the mount that came with it. Once mounted to the windshield, it is hard to take down.
Oct 09, 2020 15:39Can confirm this mount's fitment will work 100% for escort Max 360.
Jul 10, 2020 15:57Thank you for carrying a replacement for an old, worn out adapter. Shipping was quick as always.

I brought my laptop in for repair. I was asked what the symptoms of my problem were and I told them the screen was completely black. Because I'm a techie I also knew the underlying cause of the problem, but they didn't ask and I assumed they'd figure it out during the diagnosis. I was aghast when they told me that my hard drive was bad and had to be replaced. Thank heavens I knew better. The actual problem was that the connection between the laptop and the screen was faulty. Replacing the hard drive would have cost hundreds of dollars, I would probably have lost my data, and the problem would not have been fixed.
Jul 25, 2020 12:49The tech was not able to connect all the wires because he could not understand the diagram
Nov 22, 2019 16:11Excellent Service, done under 1 hour. Only thing had to wait over a week for availability.
