    Our First Professional Grade Camera

So far, this has been a great camera and lens. We've used it to take landscape and portraits with it. Nothing negative to say about it. This was our first professional grade camera, and are impressed with the sharpness and dynamic range of colors.

    Feature-Rich Full-Frame Camera

I had EOS Rebel 5i before this one and I have been a hobbyist photographer, was able to sell some photos on Adobe Stock. This camera changed everything, faster focus and flexible touch display enables capturing outstanding shots from the angles I could never do before. I also saw mega improvements in sports photos as I can shoot 6-7 pics per second and it has excellent image stabilization feature.

It's a professional grade camera you'll get without spending a fortune. Will definitely recommend!

    Excellent quality!

I upgraded to this camera from a T3i. Can you say wow?! Big upgrade in picture quality. Features, very video, and microphone. I love this camera. Watched plenty of YouTube videos complaining about it not having 4k and yadda yadda, but this is more aimed for a photographer, or videographer not interested in 4k. I recommend this for photographers!

Best overall Value for its time!

    Purchased Feb 2018

    Reviewing Nov 2020

After months of research on which camera to upgrade to, I was sorted and sure to buy the 5DMK4, but when I arrived at the store to get some hands-on with the camera my whole perspective changed. The 6DMK2 and 5DMK4 were so close in spec, I couldn’t wrap my head around the price difference. It was either buy the body for one or get full set with lens for the other. Articulating screen and price were the absolute determining factors in my purchase. Weddings are a blast with this camera. Car shots with the articulating screen are quite fun. While doing graduation photos, I realized that the screen can be used as a selfie camera with a shorter lens of course, you tap on the screen where you want focus and it works flawlessly. Beyond happy with this camera! Battery life is the best I’ve seen in a DSLR. Remote shooting and Bluetooth are game changers when doing minimal setup shots. I’ve only ever used the included lens and a 50mm 1.8, throughout this whole time and surprisingly it’s all I’ve ever needed. Photography is a hobby for me and I enjoy taking photos with a different perspective than the main photographer. Paid $3200 upon purchase of the Canon 6DMK2, including taxes, and not once have I regretted my decision! I needed the best within my price range. My previous camera was a Canon T3Rebel, yeah I know, and I still use it for lesser environmentally friendly shoots.

Single issue I had with my Canon 6D Mark 2, booting up mid shoot after the screen went to sleep, I would sometimes get an error about the lens or it would just not work at all. Had it happen on four different occasions and I was ready to do a full tear down. It turned out to be a firmware update being required.

First photo is of myself while using the remote shooting feature (phone in hand, tap screen where to focus/capture)

    Grate Camera

I have had an opportunity to take some pictures of birds, in my back yard, and am very pleased with the results. The camera has a lot of flexibility, including automation through the iPhone app "Canon Connect". It was substantially lower in price than the Canon 5D Mk IV but I think that I would not gain a lot by spending the extra $1500 for the upgraded body. I am very please with the performance and available accessories.

    Great Camera

I bought this for the full frame sensor. I would not discourage a beginner from buying this camera, but I would point them to another Canon in the Rebel class. I am an intermediate photographer and I am amazed everyday at what it will do. With the 24 - 105mm f/4L lens I am turning out some amazing shots already. I am really surprised at what this camera will do and I HAVEN’T EVEN SCRATCHED THE SURFACE. I am producing some of the sharpest photos I have ever produced. I have moved up from a Rebel Xsi and T3i and I am happy with the ease at which the conversion is. The Mode Dial and on/off are on the left instead of the right, but the is an easy adjustment to make. This is one good Camera and the has made me the envy of my Canon using pro friends.

    Great camera! Exept

I've been using this camera for almost two years and I think it is one of the best entry level cameras out there the only flaws are there is no mic jack for video and the the low light capability is not great at all but besides that it's a great camera for people that do photography as a hobby or to learn

Bought as a backup camera, surprisingly good.

I actually bought this as a B-roll camera for some location video, and as the base DSLR in Nikon's lineup it has some significant limitations— especially for video. The lack of a microphone input is a bummer, and I miss having a Manual-Auto Focus switch on the kit lens, but having said that, the autofocus is much quieter than a similar but older Nikon 18-55 zoom I have. And since I record audio separately anyway (as anyone doing quality audio would) the lack of a mic input is not that big of a deal. For still photography it's really terrific— quite light and small, with some very intuitive automatic modes. And I LOVE the ability to override autofocus with a quick grab of the focus ring. Even at full price it's a great value, but when you get it on sale— it's a steal. One more thing: the face-tracking focus is really effective!

    Awesome entry level camera!!

Got my new Nikon D3500 in yesterday and immediately jumped into it. This camera is super user friendly and is ready to go right out of the box. This is my first DSLR camera EVER and I manage to get these cool shots. The Auto feature is great for beginners like myself but I did a lot of learning even before buying the camera and I decided to take the leap and start off in manual mode. I highly recommend you guys do the same because it unlocks this camera to another world! I feel this camera will be with me for a long time and I like that I can change out the lenses and it allows me to grow. If you're still thinking about it? Don't. You won't be disappointed.

    Great beginner camera

Recently purchased 2 of these cameras for the girlfriend and I. Bought this and the kit that included the large zoom lense.

Camera takes great detailed photos and the photo sync with my phone is a great feature.

Advice I’d give is to skip the more expensive kit with the zoom lense and use the saved money on a 50mm fixed lense if your using it for an all around camera. The 300mm lense has no vibration reduction so a tripod is recommended.

Attached is a photo I took with my D3500 with 50mm lense.

    Super Camera

Not a professional photographer by any stretch of my imagination, however, I have been taking photographs since the late 60's when film was the order of the day. My first serious camera in the 70's was a Canon, then I migrated to Olympus and now I'm back to Canon. The EOS R is easy to set up and there are many options to choose from depending on your style of shooting. My type of photography is centered on nature and landscapes. My first full frame camera was the EOS 6D Mark II which took me a little bit getting use to. Which in hind sight, made learning the EOS R functions a little easier to understand. Still getting use to the slider bar which I have set up to work my ISO settings, but over all the camera as a whole is great. I am becoming more and more attached to the EOS R because of the operating capabilities and ease of set up. I like to shoot in the manual mode, so how the camera communicates with me is important. It is easy to understand in most cases very responsive.

I was having a hard time deciding to go with Canon, Nikon and Sony. I am so glad I didn't listen to the YouTube video reviews. I have only had this camera a month but it has not failed me in any way. I think there is room for improvement in the AF but the AF works great for wildlife and bird photography.

Another reason to go with Nikon!

I have to admit, I was nervous about going mirrorless. I was looking at this and the D750. I read mixed stuff about jumping into Nikon’s mirrorless line since it was so young, but I’m so glad I did. It has so many features! The workability is very similar to the DSLR too, contrary to what I had heard. One of my favorite things that I didn’t know about was that it will automatically change modes for the type of sensor your lens is for (FX or DX). I also love that the viewfinder or live view will adjust to your eye as you change settings (e.g., if you increase shutter speed, the image you see get darker to give you a better idea of what your image will look like). It also works very well in low light. I used it on 20,000 iso and it was way better than my D5300 on like 6400.

Negative: It uses an XQD card - they’re expensive. But, it will hold more on smaller GB. I have a 64 and it will hold over 1,000 pics.

PS: the turtle images are pictures off my desktop.

Excellent Low Light Performance, Good all around

Bought this camera for better astronomical (low light) performance, and haven't been disappointed. It can function as a 'point and shoot' or allows lots of control flexibility for tweaking shots. The mirrorless design works much better than I expected. The digital view finder looks like an optical finder on DSLRs, but the camera is more compact and lighter than an equivalent DSLR. The mechanical shutter can be turned off in favor of a virtually-silent electronic shutter. Get the adapter to allow use of older Nikon lenses with this camera (Nikon has a big discount for this when purchased with the camera as of 8/2020).

    Worth the wait! Excellent!

I was trying to decide between the Canon EOS R, Nikon Z7 and the Nikon Z6. I am glad I got the Z6! I bought it with the package lens. Trust me, you will not regret it! I currently have Nikon D7500 and now I have to sell it! Do not be deceived by the megapixels, the price that Canon EOS R and Nikon Z7 are offering. Z6 is a bad boy! takes really sharp pictures from low light, to slow mo, to continous shots, bokeh and much more. Take it for a test drive !

I Like this Camera A Lot

I know absolutely nothing about cameras (ISO, Aperture, etc) however I needed a camera to film my self tapes and my vlogs for my youtube channel "Janel Yarber" because I have been using my phone.

The sales associate advised this was a very good camera it was between this and the Canon M50 which is a mirrorless camera. I heard dslr cameras are hard to learn and are for the more experienced, however he told me this particular dslr is easy to learn.

I am not going to lie it is taking me some time to get the hang of it and I am still learning everyday (I actually got mad at the camera but it was just me not knowing how to use it) BUT I've noticed the more I figure out what I am doing the better the photos and videos become. I like this camera a lot and can't wait until I'm a pro with using it.

    Upgraded and do not regret

I upgraded from the Canon Rebel T5i and find a subtle difference between the quality of picture from both cameras. The T7 is better. I did not realize until after my purchase that the lcd screen is fixed and unable to move and rotate like the T5i's. That is my only complaint, really, but overall this camera is great for personal use. I have included a few quick shots taken with the T7.

We bought this camera for an Alaskan Cruise. We should have bought it much earlier than we did. That said with less than 48 hours to go, watched a few YouTube videos and headed out. We got some awesome shots and well some not so awesome shots.

    Great Picture quality

I really like how nice the pictures come out. Different settings do help a lot especially lighting on certain categories. Recording is not so good, it only focuses up close and when ever you zoom in and out while recording is doesn't focus well and you appear blurry. It's more of a picture on picture camera more than recording. Not bad for my 1st EOS. I have enjoyed it and practiced. Great Quality on portraits and Pro settings. The Landscape setting is perfect for outdoor areas , especially where there is a lot of greenery. Upclose shot is awesome for flowers, small insects. I dont like that it doesn't zoom in much for the lens that it has

Great camera for both beginners and professionals

Within a few days of release Iv had the opportunity to take this camera to Havasufalls and recorded a 2hr speech a 3 days later. Have yet to be able to edit the raw pics from the falls because of the Lightroom update has yet to come. But very hopeful because of the ease of use. Battery consumption overall have been good. I didn’t not come from a previous model so I can not comment on the comparison. Tilts screen very useful. I don’t mind the hot shoe placement. Timelaps feature was a little hard to et used to. But after a few tries. It became faster and faster for me to came changes. Have already recommended this camera for the price. And Sony is over delivering in my opinion. Glad I stayed with Sony.

    Lots of camera for $900.

Love the animal auto-eye focus available in a download. Features galore. Short life battery so get spares. The glass side of the flip screen is always exposed. Canon M-50 allows you to hide the screen side. Stunning clarity with the 18-135mm kit lens. SD card is not that easy to extract. Overall, well worth the money. Canon and Nikon are playing catchup in the auto-eye focus area.

    My first DSLR/Mirrorless camera

This is my first purchases of a "real" camera, and I couldn't be happier. The price was a bit of a shock, but this camera had more features than the similarly modeled Sony cameras for my purposes. The 18-135 zoom lens is great for wide angle AND telephoto shots. I know that I have a lot to learn before I can really take full advantage of this camera, but so far I am very impressed! I also purchased the 50mm 1.8/f lens and really like the photos I've taken in my first day with the camera (even with my crappy apartment lighting).

    Canon EOS Rebel SL3

This camera has everything I need. I'm still learning to use all the menus and adjustments, but I think it will be perfect for my needs. I'm impressed by the many options built into the Canon Rebel SL3. It's a little confusing figuring out what settings to use, but there's always Automatic. To start with, I'm using it mostly for video. I'll add a sunflower pic I took with it to see how sharp it is.

Nice, gentle step up from ‘point and shoots’.

I’ve been getting by with the ‘top shelf’ point and shoot cameras since finally(almost permanently) stepping away from my beloved 35mm. I’ve taken some wonderful pictures with those cameras and will always keep one for the sheer convenience. It has to be said though, that these cameras will always be limited by their lenses or rather their lack of options. That was my main reason for stepping back into the SLR realm.

I chose the SL3 because it looked to be a good step as a DSLR while maintaining many of the features I’ve become comfortable with in the point and shoots. I had a done a lot of research on it predecessor the SL2 and went to look at it and was told that the SL3 had just been released so I snatched one up. It’s very easy to use and will actually tutor you as you use it. Gives helpful suggestions but you can turn those off if you’d rather not. Has a good Auto focus and in the full automatic setting it is consistent.

I would recommend not buying the kit with the 18/55 mm lens. Buy the body and go an extra few hundred bucks for a better lens. The kit lens feels cheap but does an adequate job. It’s very plastic.

All in all, it’s a good buy and easy, step into DSLRs. Priced under 600.00, it’s hard to beat and Canon packed all of its ‘latest and greatest’ features into it.

    Worth a second buy

I've reviewed this camera before and I'll say again, it's a good buy. But I'm using this opportunity to speak of the bad service I received from Geek Squad, which caused me to have to buy this camera for the SECOND time. All because the Geek Squad would not return my camera like I asked them too.

As far as the camera is concerned, I enjoy it very much. I do not consider myself a professional photographer (yet). So this camera does a good job of assisting me when it comes to understanding the functions. The built in wifi is a MAJOR plus for shooting photos and uploading to my IG page. The included photos are pics I've taken with the camera.

    Great camera

I love this camera so much. It was recommended to me by a friend who thought it was a safe bet for a beginner looking to learn photography, and I attest to that 100%. It’s simple to use, yet loaded with the newer features. It has a lot to offer for such a small package. Downside (which has nothing to do with the product itself) is that I caught on to the camera and using it REALLY quickly, and I wish I would’ve done a little more research because I would’ve went full frame instead of APS-C from the start.

Compact pocket camera with high video quality!

I'm getting this Pocket 2 for some casual daily filming, and shooting 4K is more than enough for me. It is so tiny, compact and easy to carry everywhere. It is also nice to have a hard case included with the unit to protect it, and the connectors can be stored in it. You can scan the QR code to download the DJI app in the App Store and start using from there.

The Pocket 2 did a good job on stabilizing and overall quality. 64MP and 8x zoom is great for photography, plus it's far better in low light than other cameras I've used. The Creator Combo is great for live streaming since with the Do-it-all handle, you will get the tripod, wireless microphone transmitter and wide-angle lens. It's definitely a great deal and have everything you need for Vlogging. Loving it so far and yet to discover all of its functionalities.

If your cell phone had a gimbal...

Good little camera that doesn't draw a lot of attention to itself or you when using it. The gimbal is really nice, but keep in mind it doesn't have a way to combat some of the swaying while you walk, so planning your movements might still be required with some shots. There is certainly a learning curve with the controls, and it's not what I would call entirely intuitive... but this smooths out with use and is not too bad.

The overall video quality is similar to most average smart phones. Audio is similar, but I can tell the "directional" mics make a difference in a noisy environment. The clip on mic is fine and less bulky than, say, the Rode Wireless Go mic, so that's a plus. The extra functionality of the do-it-all handle is a blessing and a curse. The ability to use the wireless mic, and the wirelessly control the device is a huge plus... the fact that it can't stream while using the do-it-all handle is certainly a con. Also, the wide-angle lens makes a little bit of difference, and seems like decent quality... but I don't find it particularly required in most instances.

    Excellent in Every Way

The video and audio quality of the Osmo Pocket 2 is so much better than the original pocket. If you love video taping, but don’t like carrying bulky equipment and want more stability than what your phone can deliver, I highly recommend the pocket 2.

DJI Excels with a great gimbal camera

DJI simply makes great products. And from all accounts (I have no prior reference point) but from all accounts, the improvements from the previous version of this incredible camera has been very good for the users. Many new features and improvements have been added and made and I find it easy to use, fun to use and provides both great video files and photos.....bright, clear, adjustable and so much more. DJI's products are excellent in my book - personal opinion but it counts for me that a product is as good as its reputation and my expectations for it.

    Great little camera

Just like all my other DJI electronics it works very well. The only downside is I have to transfer the photos/videos to my phone from the mimo app before they get uploaded to google photos. When using my om4 and 5 they just automatically get uploaded to photos so not sure why I have to transfer first from the pocket 2 but again it's a great device.

    Great product, crazy small.

This camera is really amazing. The ability to have so many options in such a small format is great. The audio quality of the external mic is fantastic. The auto-tracking works very well... All in all a great device for on the move videoing. Make sure and watch online tutorials to learn how to use all the different features.

    Amazing Mobile Camera

One of the best purchases I've made at Best Buy. Video quality is amazing. And the well thought out design helps keep the device safe and travel friendly.

The combo is worth the price and the companion app is great for people just starting or want an easy nice looking video.

    Great mid-level camcorder

I had bought this Panasonic HC-V770 camcorder after buying a Sony HDR-CX440. I wasn't impressed with the low light video quality of the Sony and hoped the larger image sensor in the Panasonic would perform better. I was very happy with the improvement the Panasonic provided in low light conditions and most conditions overall. I returned the Sony.

Excellent vidcam - flexible, nicely featured

Got this when my old Canon proved beyond repair. Was delighted by how many features were packed into a small, light, easily-worked package. If you're coming off a tape model, as I was, the contrast is pheomenal: the SanDisk memory card holds as much as a ton of the cassettes! Note: this is compatible with a Mac – I found that a Sony that I had bought was not, and had to be returned. Worked out well: this proved better in every way.

    Love it

I bought it to record my grandson’s football games from high up in the stands. My main reasons buying it was to get a “close up” video of them and it does not disappoint. Plus it’s compact and very light, which makes it easy to hold and transport with all the other bulky stuff I have to lug back and forth.

    Excellent camera

We are using this camera to livestream worship services in a cathedral-like sanctuary that doesn't have the greatest lighting. It does a fantastic job!
