TLDR: better than the Magic Keyboard. Lighter and more productivity iOS related keys. Great backlighting. Soft texture means not a fingerprint magnet.
With the Logitech Combo Touch for the iPad Pro 11", Logitech has finally nailed the perfect iPad keyboard. This is the first Logitech Combo that I have used that supports the Smart Connector, which I love. This means if your iPad has power, the keyboard has power.
There's so much to love, I don't know where to begin.
- backlit keys (yes)
- extra row of iOS keys (yes)
- keyboard detaches (yes)
- adjustable tilt stand (yes)
- soft textured not a fingerprint magnet (yes)
- can still connect the Apple Pencil (yes)
Seriously, this is superior to Apple's keyboards in every way. The dedicated buttons for search, lock, volume, playback, home, etc. Make the iPad a better and easier computer replacement because you can do everything on the keyboard.
Yes, this fits the original iPad Pro 11" and the new M1 iPad Pro (we have both at home).
The case adds less bulk than the Magic Keyboard, although the Logitech does have extra-wide bumpers. I kind of like that, because it protects the edge of the iPad. The only caveat is it's a snug fit, so this is not a quickly put on/pull-off case - which is why the removable keyboard is a blessing.
I'm sharing some photos so you can see how the Logitech Combo Touch compares to the Magic Keyboard. You should be able to see the extra row of top keys, and the better-sized trackpad on the Logitech Combo. Seriously, Logitech did a great job.
Very happy.
Logitech - if you read this, you could get 6 stars if you made a thinner, light detachable softcover (no keyboard) for when you might not want the keyboard but still want to protect the screen.
May 23, 2021 07:44Seriously, this might end up being a magic keyboard killer, specially looking at the price. This is literally $100 cheaper and can do almost everything that Apple's keyboard does. Honestly, I like it more. I had ordered my iPad pro 11" and this keyboard almost 2 weeks apart but the keyboard arrived earlier than the iPad. I also have an iPad Air (4th Gen) which uses the same accessories as iPad pro 11". So I thought of giving it a try (Pics attached). Everything worked perfectly, except the Touch ID of course. iPad Pro uses facial recognition, so you don't need to rest your finger on the power button to unlock unlike iPad Air. The power button is covered by the cover and as a result, I wasn't able to unlock my iPad via touch id. I had to use the passcode to do that which is not a problem. The real issue is that the iPad fits so tight inside the cover that the power button stays pressed all the time because of it which keeps Siri activated and is really annoying. I had to bring that portion of iPad out just keep power button disengaged. But THIS IS NOT Logitech's fault as the keyboard is specifically designed for iPad Pro 11", not iPad Air. So no complains here. I am yet to receive my iPad Pro which is supposed to arrive sometime next week. Now I know both iPads are exactly same size physically, so I really hope I don't have this issue with my iPad Pro. Although after reading other reviews, I don't see anyone else having this problem. So, it should be alright I guess. This case connects with the Smart Connector. That means no pairing, nearly instant connection, and it charges through the connection, so you never have to charge the case. As soon as you attach your iPad with the keyboard, it asks to download the app. Once you download it, you are good to go.
Pros:
- Solid build quality. Feels very sturdy in hand, and offers a good amount of protection for your iPad
- The keyboard is detachable (shown in attached pictures)
- The keyboard folds completely behind the screen (and turns off) allowing you to use the iPad as a tablet. I just love this feature. If you don't want to detach the keyboard, simply fold it behind the iPad and it will detect it and automatically turn itself off. How cools is that?
- $100 cheaper than Apple's Magic Keyboard, might even go more down during shopping season.
- Row of function keys present on this keyboard
- Edge to edge protection which the Magic Keyboard lacks
- Trackpad is surprisingly good, better than a lot of laptops. Using multi finger gestures feels great and natural
- Same drivers and gestures for the trackpad as the Magic Keyboard
- Uses the same Smart Connector that Apple uses, so no need to charge or sync the keyboard
Cons:
- Not as sleek as the Magic Keyboard aesthetically. The Folio more than doubles the weight of the iPad - and it is noticeable!
- No extra USB-C charging port like the Magic Keyboard
- The keyboard only clicks when the bottom half is depressed - like a Windows PC trackpad. The Apple Magic Keyboard Trackpad has the advantage here
Previous version of this keyboard used to have a flap that wrapped around the Apple pencil, providing extra protection. But for some reason, it has been removed from this version. I don't own an Apple pencil, so this is not a problem for me but it may be for people who do. Only other option that I would have loved in this keyboard is more color offerings. It only comes in Oxford Gray color. Both of my iPads are Space Gray which is darker than Oxford Gray. But since the entire iPad sits inside the keyboard case, you don't see the difference. But there could be color option in future. That's just my personal preference, nothing to take away from this awesome piece of gadget. If you're the type of person who will rarely remove the iPad from the case then this is great since you can fold the keyboard all the way back and still use the iPad as a tablet, and can fold it back and keep it as a media consumption device. This is a very solid offering and the typing experience is definitely on par with the magic keyboard. The addition of function keys and extra protection make this a no-brainer for a lot of people.
May 29, 2021 22:14I love the look, feel and smart features of this case. It makes the iPad Pro even more versatile and provides a reasonable amount of protection.
Pros
- Well-built case with premium feel. I love the feel and texture of the woven fabric covering. The soft touch materials are a nice balance of protection and good grip, without adding too much bulk. The case fits tight, but I had no issue using it with a thin paper-like screen protector.
- Setup was easy. The iPad immediately recognized it and recommended downloading the app.
- Power comes from the iPad so no need to worry about charging.
- The kick stand works great and allows you to adjust the viewing angle.
- Detachable keyboard can be flipped and stored on the back with keys facing in when using as a tablet.
- Keyboard and touchpad are responsive and have good feel. Using the touchpad gesture feels very natural and intuitive.
- Keyboard is backlit and has useful shortcut keys (volume, media controls, lock, backlit and screen brightness adjustment).
Things to Consider
- Overall fit is very good on my 1st generation iPad Pro with a few minor comments. The speaker cut outs do not align perfectly and cover some of the holes on each speaker (this does not seem to impact volume or performance). The charging port cut out is tight (it works with the standard Apple cable with no issue, but it could be an issue for some thicker aftermarket cables).
- There is a slot on the case that allows for storing/charging the Apple Pencil, but even with the case closed it is still partially exposed and there is no strap to secure it. The Pencil seems secure and has not come off when carrying it in my bag, but I am still concerned about potential damage if I were to drop it.
I have had several logitech cases on my previous iPads and they all worked well. This case is no exception. It is amazing how well it works, and I would get it again.
May 26, 2021 00:42Let me begin by saying Logitech is my go-to brand for keyboards and mice. The MX line is amazing, and it is what I use at home and work. Needless to say, when looking for a keyboard for my iPad Pro, I was anxious to give the Logitech Combo Touch Case a try.
CASE DESIGN
While a bit bulky, the case is well-built. The fabric looks and feels great, and it matches perfectly with my Space Gray iPad. The keyboard portion attaches magnetically and easily detaches when you do not need it. The built-in kickstand opens, allowing you to adjust the angle of the screen for almost any viewing scenario. Cut-outs for the charging port and speakers are perfect. The camera hole is designed for the newer iPad Pros with the square lens case, but it still works with my 1st Gen 11-inch iPad Pro - there is just a larger gap in the space. There is a cutout for the magnetic attachment for the Apple Pencil. I'm not a fan of that feature, but it's there for those who use the pencil often. When you first unbox this device, it does have a very overpowering smell. I'm not sure if it is the plastics or some treatment to the fabric, but if you leave it out for a few days, the smell will soon go away.
KEYBOARD AND TRACKPAD
the typing experience is a little cramped, but it is somewhat expected given that the keyboard has to be within the space of the iPad. Aside from feeling a bit cramped, the experience is otherwise great. The chiclet-style keys have ample travel and are relatively quiet. The backlight keys provide plenty of lighting variations for any environment. When it comes to the trackpad, it is silky smooth and pretty large - almost comparable to that of a MacBook Air or something. It does take some getting used to using on an iPad, learning some of the gestures and such, but otherwise, it works flawlessly.
OVERALL
If you are looking for a comprehensive case, keyboard, and trackpad for your iPad Pro, this is a great - if not the best - option available. Sure, there's always the Apple version, but that will certainly cost you. The Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard Case achieves the perfect combination of design, function, and cost. I highly recommend it.
Jun 02, 2021 08:29The new Logitech Combo Touch case is a real nice upgrade from my previous Logitech Slim Folio and Pebble mouse combination that I used previously for my Gen 1, iPad Pro 11". Upgrading was a no brainer for several key reasons:
1) The keyboard is detachable - this was a huge deal for me because the Slim Folio's keyboard was not. So now, I can pop the keyboard off when I want to have the iPad propped up for watching movies, FaceTime calls, or sketching designs with the Apple Pencil and not have to deal with a keyboard in the way. Additionally, the case uses the Smart Connectors, meaning there's also no Bluetooth pairing or battery drain to worry about.
2) The keyboard is backlit - again, another small change that was sorely welcome. The Slim Folio's keys were not backlit, so typing on it in lower light situations was more challenging than it needed to be. The keyboard layout is nice, there's a good amount of space between the keys, so you're not crammed together.
3) Trackpad built in - this meant I could eliminate having to carry around my mouse. I wasn't entirely sold on using a mouse in iPadOS when Apple announced that, but it grew on me. The trackpad is so much better because in addition to mouse-type clicking and scrolling, you also get gestures, similar to MacOS. The whole surface of the trackpad is clickable, but if clicking isn't your speed, you can also set it for a simple tap interaction as well.
4) Function Keys - the top row of the Combo Touch's keyboard also contains function keys, where the Apple option does not. Home, Lock, Media controls, brightness adjustments... they're all there, just a tap away.
4) Price - I was looking at going with an Apple Magic Keyboard, but the cost wasn't something I could get over. Over $300 for a keyboard that was locked into place, just for the "oooo" effect of it holding the iPad with magnets and letting it float. Thanks, but no thanks - The Combo Touch is a bargain compared to Apple's over-priced option.
I've used the Combo Touch for a little over a week now and I can honestly say it was a great upgrade. The overall feel of the case is nice, sturdy, and it's also functional enough that it's worked for every use case I've thrown at it. Typing on my lap? Check. Sketching new designs? Check. Watching Netflix without a keyboard in the way? Check.
The only real "gripe" I have about the case is that, compared to the Slim Folio, the Apple Pencil is exposed, there's no wrapping or anything to keep the Apple Pencil attached when the case is closed. Not really a deal breaker and the benefits of the newer design and features of the Combo Touch more than make up for that.
If you're considering picking up a keyboard case for your iPad Pro 11", I strongly recommend you check out the Combo Touch from Logitech. It's cheaper than the Apple Magic Keyboard, more versatile, typing experience is nice and the trackpad is fantastic - all this for less than what you'd pay Apple to have a device that does less.
May 25, 2021 21:21I really like this Logitech Combo touch keyboard.Keyboard and touchpad work great.I really like the protection from scuffs with the magnetic detachable case.I also like the top row of special keys.Adjustable keyboard lighting. The downside would be it has a longer footprint with the stand and it doesn’t lock upright for lap ability. The whole setup with IPad Pro weighs about 2.5 lbs.I had the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio on my last iPad Pro.This Logitech Looks like it would remain in better cosmetic condition from long term use then Apples Keyboard combos.I would definitely recommend this product.
Jun 05, 2021 08:45This case/keyboard works perfectly! The case is better than the apple case in my opinion because it protects the edges of the iPad and fits snug n secure and you can still charge ur Apple Pencil gen2 with a silicone case on it! I highly recommend this product!
Jul 17, 2021 07:53Great alternative to Apple’s Magic Keyboard. My only complaint is that the mouse pad can sometimes be unresponsive but other than that, I am very happy with it. It’s also very protective and works with the Zagg screen protector.

I was appalled at what Apple wanted for a Wireless keyboard but I needed one for my only Apple device which is a older 7 gen ipad. Luckily for me Best Buy had this jewel and it was on-sale so I didn't have to pay for the Over-priced Apple keyboard. It works flawlessly and has great battery life further cementing my resolve to never invest in Apple's Over-priced, Overrated, technology ever again.
Aug 14, 2021 15:34This case is good, and I’m writing this review on it right now.
My most recent cases have been ZAGG and they're by far the best, my most recent case broke and the keys fell out which prompted to go shopping yet again for a new case and this is what I lucked up on.
Nov 18, 2021 02:50I looked at so many different covers and just happened to come across this at the store. I wasn’t even looking for a keyboard but I am so glad I did. I really like it more than I thought I would.
Oct 28, 2021 18:03Great for protecting and adding ease of use to your iPad, and really secures your Apple Pencil too.
Nov 11, 2021 17:04Solid protection for the ultra expensive iPAD pro. Keyboard is also very well layed out and key travel is just right.
Oct 29, 2021 16:25The case feels sturdy on the tablet. The keyboard pairs easily. I use ot all day for work and it held s charge for 3 weeks.
Oct 23, 2021 08:13Great case that’s lightweight! Pairs up quick and keys are comfortable for long term use
Nov 07, 2021 14:42Love it! Easy to connect and turn on! It is a thick case also

Logitech really came through with this keyboard case and now it makes my iPad a laptop replacement.
The case itself is pretty good on its own. The cutouts for the iPad are lined up perfectly so no issues with cables or sound ports getting covered. The volume and power buttons are somewhat muted. They don't stick out at all and you only see very small raised shapes for them. Still, they are easy to press and haven't been an issue for me. Even with a glass screen protector, there is still a lip on the case that provides some protection from scratches when laid flat. The cloth covering on the case is pretty smooth and has a denim look to it. I think it's a bit too smooth and doesn't quite give me the grip I usually like however it's still a good feeling case in your hands.
The keyboard portion is just great; almost perfect. There are all the usual keys as well as an unlock/lock button to lock your iPad. The keyboard took me a bit of time getting used to it as it's smaller than your typical standard keyboard. The large trackpad is a welcome new feature for me as it makes this whole getup seem like a laptop. You could also pair a BT mouse to round out the whole laptop vibe if you wanted to as well. The keyboard detaches from the case so you're able to use it with/without which is great. Other keyboard cases I've seen you pretty much have to have the keyboard on at all times which can be inconvenient. There is a small flap on the back of the case which allows you to use the case in a variety of positions. You can have the standard laptop style position or you can drop it down to where it's almost flat for graphic design apps or something.
A few things I didn't like about the case;
1. It's not all that easy to open the case. There's no notch or tab where you can easily grab/pull to open the case. I find myself trying to open the clamshell case by prying it open with my fingernails.
2. I have the Apple pen and there's nothing on the case that secures it to the iPad. My other case had a small compartment where I can stick my pen in and it would stay there without falling out. Since there's nothing on this case like that, there's a good chance the pen will fall off whenever putting in your bag. Even something like a loop would've been nice to store your pen.
3. The flap you open to adjust the viewing angle of the iPad seems a bit flimsy. It's just a piece of metal that you fold in/out and doesn't feel like it'll last a long time. Also, depending on the surface you're using the iPad on, the back flap can shift and lose it's original position.
4. There is a companion app you download for this keyboard case. Aside from mapping the keys, there's nothing else that it does. I would've like to see some settings menu perhaps like changing keyboard backlighting brightness or trackpad sensitivity. I'm hoping it'll come with future updates but, for now, it doesn't do anything besides mapping keys.
Overall, I find this a great addition to my iPad. I have the flexibility to use it with the keyboard or without. The case provides suitable protection for my iPad whether I use the keyboard or not. The trackpad is just great as it makes those late night scrolling sessions much easier. Battery drain doesn't seem too bad however I haven't really put it to the test quite yet. Still though, great case and really top notch keyboard.
May 24, 2021 00:06I honestly didn’t think that I would find another keyboard for my iPad that would make me put down the Magic Keyboard. It took me almost a year to convince myself to purchase the Magic Keyboard and I have loved using that ever since. After ordering my new 2021 iPad Pro, I saw that this year, Logitech had updated their Combo Touch case for the 12.9” model. I am so glad I ordered this case. After a few days of using this Combo Touch case I haven’t felt the need to take out the Magic Keyboard, and that is saying a lot. That’s not to say that it is a perfect case, but it’s very, very close.
Let’s get the semi-negative thing out of the way. I did find it a tad difficult to open at first. The case does a great job of not leaving any gaps when closed. I think this is great, but it does make it a tad tricky to open when you first start using it. Also, because of the way the keyboard and stand work, I sometimes felt like my hands sit a little further away from the screen than some other keyboards. I use that word predictor bar at the bottom of the screen a lot when I work, and it does take a little more of a stretch to reach it when I am typing. Honestly, neither of these two issues are deal breakers in the slightest, but something worth noting. If you have never really used another keyboard case with your iPad, you might not even notice this.
Logitech obviously knows how to make a great keyboard, I use their Craft keyboard at work, and really enjoy using that one also. These keys have great travel and feel crisp when using, and I love the size of the trackpad. The keyboard has a variety of backlight levels you can adjust, and a great feature some other keyboards miss, is that top row of shortcut keys. You have access to adjust media controls, volume, brightness, etc. No more having to reach up to Control Center to adjust these things. I am more of a ‘tap to click’ trackpad user, but I can appreciate the ‘clicky-ness’ of the trackpad, and again the size is awesome!
Where this keyboard case really shines is in its versatility. I have a Surface Go 2 that I use sometimes for work, and this case gives it a feel similar to that. The Combo Touch has that fold out kickstand that allows you to prop it up in a number of angles without needing to keep the keyboard section attached. That’s right, the keyboard can be removed, and since it attaches with magnets, it is super easy to pop on and off. The magnets are strong enough that it will not come off unless you mean to remove it. This ability to remove the keyboard is my favorite thing about it. You can keep the case (protection) on and use the stand to prop up the iPad to sketch or watch some media. The keyboard doesn’t fold back, it’ll just pop off. At first I thought this was weird, but after using it for a while, I loved it. It kind of pushes you to remove it if you are trying to use it to read. The cherry on top for this great magnetic keyboard attachment is that you also don't need to charge the keyboard up. It is one of the few keyboards that actually uses the Smart Connector pins found on the back of the iPad. That means that it uses the power from the iPad, and doesn't require a separate battery for the keyboard. You will never have to worry about charging your keyboard separately.
Finally, the overall build quality is fantastic. I used an older Slim Folio Pro Keyboard case, and while I loved that one, I sometimes felt that it was too bulky for my needs. On the other hand, I’ve always felt that the Magic Keyboard offers minimal protection. This case is that Goldilocks situation, it gets it just right! It doesn’t add a lot of bulk or heft to the overall experience. The plastic and fabric material combination that wrap most of keyboard feels great and premium. Most of the iPad is protected with just openings for speakers, USB-C port, and Pencil charging. The power and volume buttons are easy to use. Once again, since I am able to remove the keyboard, I have no issue with it being too heavy if I want to use my iPad to read some comics, news, etc. The entire experience is awesome.
This is such an easy recommendation for anyone that just got themselves a new 2021 iPad Pro 12.9”, (it also kinda fits my old 2018 iPad Pro, it just felt a tad less snug). You get complete protection, it’s made from great materials, and the keyboard and trackpad feel great to use. This, added with the versatility of the built in stand, and being able to remove the keyboard, is about as close to perfect as you can get. Oh yeah, and don’t forget about the media control row and backlit keyboard. This is definitely the complete package.
May 24, 2021 12:42Where to begin? Should I start by saying this review is brought to you by the new Logitech Combo Touch, on my new 12.9 inch iPad Pro? It sure is! I’m happy to report, in just the first paragraph, that you should buy this. Especially if you’re looking for a premium alternative to the official Apple accessory.
In the box, you’ll find the keyboard detached, the iPad case with the smart connector for your iPad, and a basic user pamphlet/warranty guide. The packaging mirrors the premium experience, as it has a nice magnetic flap to keep it closed and to help protect the case while in the packaging. The included pamphlet illustrates how easily it is to install the case and attach the keyboard. It’s worth checking out if you’ve never used a keyboard like this for your iPad and aren’t sure how to use it.
To install, simply place your iPad within the case enclosure, lining up the camera to ensure proper fit. It kind of snaps into place, without a snap, with the soft silicon edges easily sliding over the iPad to hold it in place. The buttons are all covered and protected, with easy to find to find button placement. There are openings around the 4 speakers, the top microphones and the USB C/Thunderbolt connector. The device doesn’t require any charging, as it uses the Smart Connector to power the keyboard with your iPad, once it’s attached to the side/bottom of the case. You’ll notice the keyboard/trackpad portion will lie flat on any surface it’s placed on. The entire exposed portions of the case are covered in a nice textured fabric like feel. This makes placing your palms on the keyboard feel natural and comfortable; unlike placing them down on a desk or table during typing.
Installing the keyboard portion of the case is as simple as lining up the connector, and feeling the magnet do the work of attaching it in place. Once it’s attached it does a pretty good job of staying in place. It will require little effort of pulling to remove it from the case, if you’d like it removed, and also acts to complete the enclosure by covering the screen when not in use. It takes advantage again of the previous generation feature of putting the iPad to sleep when the case is closed, with the satisfying click noise of the wake button being engaged. It does a great job staying shut, until you absolutely need to pull it open, finding yourself back to the unlock screen and the app you were using when the case is opened.
On the keyboard itself, you’ll find the familiar shortcut keys for backlight, media, spotlight search, screen brightness, and the media keys. You’ll also find the alternate keyboard shortcut key in the lower left, and when pressed, will display the alternative keyboards, or in my case the emoji selection menu. You’ll also find a key for the home button and a lock button that will lock your iPad at key press without hesitation. I was impressed with the backlighting, which at it’s brightest setting wasn’t overly bright in the dark. The key presses mirror the use of a premium apple keyboard, without the expensive price tag. The touchpad works well with multi touch gestures, feeling almost as familiar to using them on the your iPads screen. I was easily able to switch apps, see the app manager, and even option tap on apps for spell corrections or menu actions. The size of the trackpad feels about right, and I never once felt like I was needing a larger surface area.
So, how does this stand up? There is an easily adjustable stand that pops out of the case, on the backside of the iPad, which helps keep the device upright. It holds in place very well, and even allows for a lower placement if you’d like to sketch on your desk or another flat surface. This provides you with several options for overall placement to your preference. The top most portion (or right side of the iPad), has a small gap that allows for the official Apple Pencil to easily connect and store with your iPad. If you’re using a third party stylus that lacks the magnetic feature of attaching, you’ll find there isn’t a way to keep your stylus attached to the case. While I understand leaving this out, it does feel like a miss for those using mostly third party accessories.
Overall, will this case live up to your expectations. Yes, it likely will. It offers a premium look, feel, offers the portability of an accessory that attaches to your iPad, and works incredibly well. I should note, that having access to both the 4th and 5th generation iPad Pro in 12.9”, I was able to accommodate both iPads into this case. So, if you’re simply looking to upgrade your keyboard for your previous generation iPad Pro (12.9), this will likely work without issue for you as well. I highly recommend this keyboard for those wanting the portability of the Apple Magic Keyboard, with a friendlier price tag, and a nicer look (in my opinion).
May 21, 2021 13:28I love it it’s exactly what I was looking for it’s very functional and it gives me the lovely ability to use my iPad as a computer. But it’s also great that the keyboard detaches from the base allowing me to easy and seamlessly use my iPad Without the keyboard
Jul 02, 2021 15:07Verdict. This case is transformational. It turns an iPad into a fully productive touchscreen laptop, but with iPad convenience. It also looks great and feels great.
Case. In addition to protection from daily scratches and blemishes, it appears that this case would protect an iPad from a fall or other potential damages. The magnetically-held keyboard flap is easily and quickly removable, which is a really nice feature. Even without the keyboard flap, the case has an edge that extends above the screen to provide protection for the screen in case of a fall. The fabric material feels really nice, and provides a premium look. While I like the case, it is much heavier than my lightweight smart case. If weight is a factor for you, then consider the additional 1 lbs 12 ounces that this case adds to the iPad. The case has a strong magnet that keeps it closed tightly. The case could benefit from a tab to assist in opening because with the Apple Pencil in the charging slot, it is a bit tricky to open the case. The case also has a kickstand that works very well and stores away nicely
Setup. Placing the iPad in the keyboard was a bit tricky, but with patience and care, it can be done in just a few minutes and without much stress to the iPad. Once the case is installed, the iPad recommended the download of the Logitech app. I am not sure if this is necessary, but I went ahead and installed the app. This was quick, and then the keyboard functioned perfectly without any additional steps.
Keyboard. The keyboard for the 12.9 inch iPad pro has ample width and allow for comfortable and fast typing. The keys feel nice, type quietly, and have back-lighting. My favorite feature of this iPad keyboard are all the shortcut keys. The built-in keys provide fantastic convenience for volume, media controls, search, home screen, and screen lock. In addition, the keyboard can control many actions with Tab + other keys (see settings, accessibility / keyboard / full keyboard access / commands).
Touchpad. The touchpad adds a really nice functionality to the iPad. The size of the touchpad allows for quick gestures, mimicking some touch action on the screen, like swiping through apps, returning to the home screen, and pinching. It is well located and doesn’t interfere with typing. Lastly, it allows for exact control of the pointer for tasks that require precision.
Things I love.
- Premium feel and look
- Great protection
- Easy installation and setup
- Slot to charge the apple pencil
- No need to charge the keyboard separately; the iPad pro does it for you through “Smart Connector”
- Easy to remove the keyboard
- Wide keyboard with lighted keys and convenient shortcut keys
- Large touchpad
Things I don’t love.
- The magnets that keep the case close are strong. A tab to assist in opening the case would be great
- It is a bit heavy, but worthwhile given the added functionality
- I would prefer an actual slot for the Apple Pencil. My iPad is my “go-to” every device at home, on my commute, and at work. As designed, I have to be careful to make sure I don't knock the Pencil loose, and then potentially breaking it or losing it. I really need the Pencil to be secure as the iPad comes in-and-out of my backpack on the bus, train, and other places.
Overall, this is a fantastic case. I absolutely love the added functionality of a great keyboard, touchpad, and removable keyboard flap. While a bit pricey, it is well worth the cost. I highly recommend this Logitech case.
May 29, 2021 18:19Never thought I would ever spend more than $100 for iPad accessory, but when Apple is retailing for $300+ I decided to opt for this Logitech version.. hope it really last longer than expected.. So far the product is gold. I’m amazed by it.
Jul 09, 2021 12:40The design is great. Functionality is great. Quality is terrible. Purchased in May 2021, now in August 2021, the “s” key has popped off and no longer stays attached to the keyboard rendering it useless. No drops or damage, just cheap plastic keys that broke.
Logitech gives a 1yr warranty that I am in the process of doing.
However, I filed a claim a week ago with all required info: photo of defect, proof of purchase, model/sn, etc. today when I inquired for an update on my claim they have requested the exact same information again. A week later from the original claim. I’m 3 weeks into med school with no functioning keyboard and no replacement in sight yet…. My advice… get something of better quality if you want it to be a reliable piece of equipment. I wish I would’ve just gotten the apple folio instead.
Aug 30, 2021 16:41The Combo Touch for iPad Pro is an excellent alternative to the OEM option. If only I could take aspects of each and mash them up to create the perfect iPad Pro keyboard/trackpad companion!
Design:
Right off the bat I LOVE the Logitech Combo Touch design. The grey woven fabric is beautiful and functional. I much prefer this material to the OEM option. I feel like it's going to be much more durable and won't show fingerprints and smudges as easily. The Combo Touch comes in about 70 grams heavier than the OEM alternative and it's definitely not as sleek.
Keyboard:
One major benefit of the Combo Touch is the removable keyboard. This is HUGE because you don't always need a keyboard, but if you're like me you always want drop protection. The design of the keyboard flops out as part of the cover flap and is definitely creates a larger footprint on a desk than the OEM alternative. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something to consider. The Combo Touch definitely sprawls. The typing and trackpad experience themselves are top notch and definitely on par with the OEM alternative.
Kickstand:
If you ever wanted an iPad to function like a Surface this is the way. My one complaint with the design was that the kickstand hinge had some bounce when in use. It doesn't feel cheap by any means, but when you're adjusting to the height you think you want and you get it just right...it tends to pop back up a bit. That coupled with the added sprawl of the design makes it a little difficult to be lappable compared to the OEM alternative. I don't draw, but I often take notes and I do also like that the kickstand lays flat so I can take notes easily.
Final Notes:
The fact that the Combo Touch uses the smart connector is essential. No batteries, no pairing, just set it and forget it. I would not recommend any iPad keyboard option without a smart connector.
This will be a tough decision for me (tougher than I certainly thought) as to which option I will continue to use as my daily keyboard/case combo. I love that I can quickly detach the keyboard and use my iPad on the treadmill and I love the look and feel of the woven material. I'm not in love with the extra bulk and the sprawling footprint is something I have to consider on my small desk and when traveling.

So smooth to use
Very simple and fast to maneuver.
Oct 20, 2021 16:27Like it a lot. Keys take some getting used to but not a big deal. Easy to use case and keyboard for the 12.9” iPad Pro. I’ve unfortunately already dropped my iPad multiple times and no issues so far. This was just with the case on the iPad and it the keyboard. I really like the magnetic connection of the keyboard and outer case as I most often use it without the keyboard, it’s super simple to just grab the pad and pencil and go.
Jul 09, 2021 18:43I didn't look at this close enough, and thought it stood like the Magic Keyboard--it does not. I did like the flap, but that seems divisive among those who have purchased this. Also, be aware there is no pass-through charging. You charge the keyboard separately from the iPad. It was a little hefty but didn't feel as heavy as the Logitech combo (I haven't actually compared their official weight, so maybe it is).
Jun 26, 2021 09:32Highly recommended, works great for the iPad and much more cost conscious than a Magic keyboard! Slightly challenging to get the backlight to work but if your spouse reads the directions they probably won’t have an issue.
Oct 29, 2021 16:13This keyboard is fully functional in every way that one would expect and works very well. The only problem is that I purchased to use my iPad while traveling to reduce the size and weight of my laptop. Well, this thing, along with the iPad, is the same size as a laptop and close to the weight. No benefit for my purpose.
Jun 25, 2021 15:45Great product fits good quality fine. Was skeptical because it looked so thin but it actually is supportively and works great! Would definitely by another.
Sep 24, 2021 16:54This keyboard makes using the iPad pro so easy. I love that it's magnetic and had even a magnetic Apple pencil spot that allows the pencil to charge. The iPad is in a magnetic case that attached to the keyboard and it comes off so you can use the iPad easily. Awesome product
Jul 08, 2021 13:01Easy wireless keyboard. Compatible with iPad. Great product!

This case holds your Apple Pencil so you never have to leave your extra tech behind. Best iPad case ever. It’s the only case that has multiple viewing angles and a covered camera. it also keeps my apple pencil 2 charged and secure. I can throw in my purse and go with no worries, which was a huge reason I went with the mini 6. Also, the green clearly matches my vibe.
Nov 04, 2021 10:48It’s great but last one case and need more cases there, Thank you…
Dec 05, 2021 10:42The ipad snaps in securely and looks like it would be protected from all but the most unfortunate of impacts. Has a little space for the pen, even though I don't really use it. The little notches to hold the screen up do wear down over time, but it's at a reasonable rate. I have the same folio for an older model, and it took over a year to start slipping a bit.
Dec 09, 2021 12:27My order of a i pad mini case was easy and it was delivered on time. The case is a good quality case and I am very pleased with it. I also appreciated the fact I could use reward points to purchase it.
Dec 04, 2021 07:38This has has everything so many great uses a spot for your pen, a cover for the camera and a stand I love it and the price is great, very good option.
Dec 02, 2021 14:53The case for IPad mini fits the device perfectly. It is durable and keeps the device safe from damage.

Nov 05, 2021 19:22Favorite Case for my 6th Gen iPad mini.
Love the color.
Nov 19, 2021 16:59The case is lightweight and fits the iPad nicely. The Apple pen is kept securely when the case is fastened shut. The downside is that it is not as advertised concerning the automatic on off magnet feature. There is a magnet however it does not turn the iPad on and off as advertised. Another disadvantage is that it does not swivel, so there is no support for portrait mode.
Nov 19, 2021 17:28The price point is relatively acceptable for a table case but it offers great protection compared to the apple brand, at almost half the cost. I had the smart folio case from apple but it such a horrible case! It doesn't offer any protection to the iPad itself and it's extremely overpriced for what it is. This case offers great protection, it has a camera cover which you can fold and it's magnetic. You can even open the case and have it as a stand so this is really good features for the price.

It was recommended the the sales associate and I like that the tablet case is lightweight and flexible yet study enough to hold the tablet upright. I wish the backlighting stayed on longer but I'm still getting used to using it. It doesn't come with a charging cord so you have to use the one that comes with your tablet.
Aug 14, 2021 10:51This is my second case replacing one the keyboard stopped working correctly (different brand). Look the feel of the keyboard, detachable keyboard at times, pencil holder, etc. Easy to use and carry around, Fits my 11" iPad nicely. The keyboard battery lasts a long time also. The magnetic holds work great too.
Oct 22, 2021 14:11Just what I was looking for my new ipad pro. Need a keyboard that would easily detach so I could use just ipad for a talk. Love the magnetic backing and apple pen holder as well. I never lose my apple pen anymore. Always know where it is.
Nov 15, 2021 12:23Only thing I wish it had was the track pad but for the price compared to apples it’s excellent
Nov 17, 2021 19:17Combo was good - case and keyboard. It’s a little heavy but no biggies.
Oct 16, 2021 20:31the first one I bought wouldn't charge. Had to return. The new one is working GREAT! Excellent size...perfect for using as a small laptop. And, be sure to price match. I saved about $25 with an Amazon price matdh.
Sep 20, 2021 07:04IPad Pro 11 inch M1 combined with this keyboard has replaced much of my iPhone and MacBook Pro use. Took it in a trip. Excellent.
Oct 29, 2021 15:36Excellent product. I love the back lit keyboard it makes typing at night great
Nov 23, 2021 06:02Slip your Microsoft Surface Pro tablet in this rose gold SaharaCase Folio case for protection. The hardback absorbs and deflects shock, while the premium PU leather and soft microfiber interior provide long-lasting use. Featuring a magnetic closure, this SaharaCase Folio case snaps on and off easily for effortless application, and the ultra-slim design minimizes bulk for comfortable handling.
Surface Pro fits perfect in the case. Case allows you to adjust the stand so you do not have to hold the computer up to use it. Perfect for gaming.
Jan 15, 2021 19:01This is a great folio case for the surface pro, I have the 6 & it fits nicely. It does interfere with the camera a little if you don’t hold it right, but other than that it’s perfect. I can use it with my keyboard but feels super bulky. I had A bit of trouble standing up the surface pro with out Having to fold up the folio case first.
Aug 26, 2020 16:52Way better than what I expected to receive. I mean this is a company that makes decent products for all kinds of devices, so I kind of knew what quality to expect. But when it comes to new devices, there are either a ton of accessories to choose from or your choices are limited...Well for the Surface Pro 7 when it comes to cases, you're kind of limited. Unless you want to pay $100 for a piece of bulky plastic that covers your gorgeous, thin, light $1500 computer, go ahead. Not me. The reason I wanted the surface is because of how thin it is. I want to keep it that way. I opted for the i7, 16 gig Surface Pro 7 model. Anyone who has this computer knows that it can get kind of hot. So extra layers that encase around your device isn't a good idea. That is how hardware failures happen. They had to have thought of this when they designed this Folio. It covers just enough to snuggle your surface in it's tight plastic shell. Only covering the corners of the device and the back. There are vents on the top part for plenty of venting and all ports are openly accessible. It leaves the sides pretty much open, your Surface Pen attaches to the device just like it would without a case on, rather than adding an extra clip to the side or top of the case. While there is an elastic loop to attach your styles pen or an ink pen to write on actual paper if needed. It has an extra folder pocket on the backside of the case when closed in it's fully closed state to hold extra papers or what I keep in there is a micro fiber towel to clean the screen. This strap is perfect for Right or Left hand manipulation, holding it one handed and writing in portrait mode is quite nice for taking notes. The material used on the outside to cover the very stiff, reinforced backing is almost like the same material used in those hard shell covers if that helps. It's definitely durable and I can tell it will last a lot longer than a few others I have tried. This one feels fully encased so you can't use your built in sSurface kick stand, which I do prefer. But when traveling I feel I'm better protected with the Case just in case of an accident, it getting knocked off the table or I drop it. So yes, I would definitely recommend this case for anyone that has this device and wants to have their computer in a folio case while keeping it even smaller than a 1/2” ring binder.

Best Buy’s shipping was very quick! I ordered on a Friday afternoon and received it on my doorstep on Monday!
*Packaging*
The case arrived in a box that tightly covered the entire case and had see-through plastic at the front to see the package’s contents. What I liked about this packaging was that it looked very similar to the packaging that I would see from the “official” case from Microsoft. There is also a two-sided card that encourages you to leave an Amazon review if you’re happy and to contact them first before leaving any kind of negative feedback. As someone who also owns their case for the Samsung galaxy tab S6, I would say that I liked this packaging much better!
*Instructions*
I found the instructions to be very lacking; however, this is just a minor complaint because it actually is a very fool-proof case to install
*Installation*
Installation was a breeze! I really love the leather accents on this particular case. Another reviewer mentioned that it made their Microsoft surface look really bulky. However, that wasn’t the case with me (no pun intended).
*Value*
This was perhaps the case’s weak point, as major online retailers carry cases with very similar or identical specifications for roughly half the price. A few options out there include:
-Moko (Model #B07XF649SM) - $31.99
-ProCase (Model #B0169X7UAY) - $29.99
-Infiland (Model #8541542073) - $23.95
-Fintie (Model #B07L9P5L8J) -($19.99)
*Verdict*
3.5/5 Stars - while it offers more-than-adequate protection, the cost to value ratio is rather poor because you can find identical cases for between 20-50% off at other major online retailers.
Aug 27, 2020 04:52Pretty case but ordered the wrong size. Had to return.
Nov 17, 2021 17:05I like the protection for my son's computer. He said the only negative is the stylus cannot adhere to the computer when the cover on.
Sep 10, 2021 21:52Great product to keep your Surface safe and secure! Also prevents scratch marks on your keyboard or the Surface backside! Def. recommend.
Dec 05, 2021 12:17Awesome hardware for laptop. Bought this more my son in college.
Dec 10, 2021 18:25Snap your Microsoft Surface Pro 6, Pro 7 and Pro 7+ into stylish protection with this blue SaharaCase Folio case. The triple-layered construction safeguards your device from accidental drops and minimizes yellowing, while the elevated raised bezel prevents screen damage from front-facing falls. This SaharaCase Folio case features a kickstand for hands-free use, and the accurate cutouts provide efficient navigation.
Surface Pro fits perfect in the case. Case allows you to adjust the stand so you do not have to hold the computer up to use it. Perfect for gaming.
