    Surprise nice to have!

Funny purchase, and it’s changed my work from home meetings. The “Teams” logo blinks when the meeting has started and it’s one touch to login. It simplifies the joining process (I know, it sounds funny) but when you are jumping from call to call all day, this is a time saver and helps streamline everything. The simple tactical buttons are great for quick volume and mute changes. You don’t think you need it…. Until you try it. It’s a keeper!

    No Regrets!

I wish I could give these 10 stars. I have a slow laptop I decided to use for workouts but the speakers were not loud enough so I purchased these speakers. I was blown away at the bass, clarity of sound, tremble and the distance of sound it projects. I love love love these speakers. I DO NOT regret my purchase. Did I say I love these speakers? Lol

Great sound out of these speakers

I absolutely love these speakers. I’ve always had portable speakers with crappy sound and these are a game changer. I love the bass and how full the sound is. I played around with all types of music and they all sound great. One thing i love most is the look and size of them. The wooden outside makes them seem more modest and modern and they fit right on my tv stand without looking bulky. I also really love the controls that are on the side of the speaker. You can play around with bass and treble and make it your own. They also come with a remote which is nice. They were super easy to set up and I had no issues. One thing that could be changed is the fact that you have to connect your device through an aux cord. I would have thought that all speakers are Bluetooth now. Regardless of that I love these speakers and highly recommend!

Great bookshelf speakers for a computer!

First, these are not Bluetooth. I recommend using them with your computer or other multimedia use.

They have great sound and are the perfect size for a desk. They have a nice wood finish and they feel very solid. Overall, great product.

Great little speakers for a home studio

I wanted something better than generic desktop computer speakers for my little home studio. I couldn't afford professional near-field monitors, so I settled on these. I am not disappointed! They are wonderful little speakers. More bass then I would have expected out of 4" cones. Plenty of volume for filling the room with music from Band Camp or Sportify when I am not playing something of my own.

The sound develops well when sitting close, a requirement for monitors. The two inputs are handy. Both are active at the same time, so you can mix two sources or go back and forth without touching the speakers (there is no fade between the inputs which would be nice, but you can't have everything for the price). I don't use the little remote, but it works if you need it.

They include both RCA cables as well as a 3.5mm TRS cable to connect to a computer or phone (if your phone still has headphone jack). They do have a Blue Tooth version if you need it. Both inputs are line in, so you would need a preamp to connect microphones or a turntable with low level outputs.

Best Buy does a great job with packing and shipping. I definitely recommend these if you are looking decent powered speakers in the price range.

I absolutely love these speakers. They have very bold sound and strong bass (I love strong bass personality LOL). I almost went for the Bose one with same price range, I am so glad I did the different thing. Highly recommended.

    The Walls Knock. Yeah Baby

For about twenty years, I've had the same radio, with low quality speakers. When I made the decision to get a record player, I wanted to look for some speakers. I wanted something that cost a pretty penny, but not too expensive. This was the product that I came across.

I absolutely love these speakers. and too my surprise (and maybe its the way my apartment is built, not sure)

I can turn up the music a fair volume, and it will not cross over to the next room. After turning up the volume until the bass was knocking on my walls, I decided to walk out of the room, close the door, and the other room is not effected.

HOW? Has speakers always been like this and I'm just now realizing it? Either way, I recommend this products. If this was Oprah's favorite things, these speakers would make the list.

    Great sound, great quality.

Fantastic speakers for the money. Very heavy and great sound, plus they look great too and they seem to be of solid build quality. Treble and bass controls on the side are easy to get to. Includes a remote volume control as well which was nice. While I'm not using them as PC speakers in the traditional sense, they met my need perfectly.

    Excellent Budget Powered Speaker

I bought these for my daughter to use with her first turntable, an Audio Technica LP-60. Although I read many positive reviews, my expectations weren’t very high. I was pleasantly surprised. These don’t have the deep mud-free bass or crisp highs of higher priced speakers (thus, the 4 stars), but they do a very good job for her budget system. They seem to be solidly built, and they are attractive looking. Set up was simple and the remote control is nice. An added bonus that she can pair her phone with them too. Very happy with the purchase!

The Best PC Speakers for Under $200… Perio

I’ve had a set of Z625 speakers for over 7 years now and they always sounded amazing, but they where starting to look a little worn (I get a little to picky about that sometimes). So I decided to buy some new speakers, and just went with the Z625 model to get the optical input option. Plus BestBuy had it on sale for almost the same price as the Z623 model, so that made it a very easy decision. It can be very subjective when listening to music and playing video games, but with both optical cable and the analog cable connected to my PC sound PCIe card, the optical sound is noticeably improved over the analog sound. So a little food for though if your choosing between the Z625 and the Z623 models.

Amazing speakers Just Lacks an equalizer.

I had a really good set of Altec Lansing speakers that I bought way back in 2000. Those wounded up in my dads hands 10 years later, and they still sound amazing to this day. Unfortunately I do not see much of Altec Lansing in PC speakers these days, which is why I decided on the Bose. The reason for the Bose is that I have a small desk and needed compact speakers with premium sound.

I thought I achieved that goal when buying a cheaper set of generic speakers on Amazon. Now that set sounded pretty good for $60, but the controller on it was awful.

So I went all out and bought these. They are not cheap, but neither is the sound. And while these sound excellent, what I love most about it is the circular remote. It feels like metal and the convenience of a headphone jack built into the remote is outstanding. So it isn't just the sound you are paying for, you are paying for the look and finish of the product, which will compliment any desk, small or large. I currently have these tucked under my curved Dell monitor that I purchased from Best Buy and I love the look. They look modern and sleek, great build quality with that silver metal mesh and metal sides. I was listening to music on these and my wife complimented the sound.

Now for audiophiles you may dislike the inability to have equalizer settings to lower the bass. That is a tad disappointing, and my old altec lansing speakers had a built in equalizer in the controls. So be wary of that when you buy these. All in all, very happy with them, just trying to find some kind of software equalizer to reduce the bass in certain situations...can't seem to find anything.

The Bose® Companion® 20 Multimedia Speaker System are the best 2-piece speakers that I have ever heard. The sound is just unbelieveable! I am able to hear sounds in songs that I haven't heard before. I compared these speakers to the Companion® 2 series II speakers and there is a huge difference. First of all, the Companion® 2 speakers have very little bass compared to the Companion® 20's. The 20's have amazing bass thanks to its advanced port design (see product pictures). Once you hear these speakers, you will be searching the floor for a subwoofer when really there isn't one! The Companion® 2 speakers were made for someone who will be sitting right in front of their computer and speakers. That is why it doesn't sound good when you're not close to the speakers. But, the Companion® 20 speakers have been designed so that you can enjoy the sound when you are sitting in front of the speakers, or even when you are across the room (see product video).

Next, the Companion® 20 speakers are very well built. They don't feel cheap at all! You can notice that Bose® has used the best materials for it. Also, the control pod makes it very easy to change the volume, mute the sound, connect headphones, and to connect another device via the AUX input. These speakers will blow you away with its sound quality. If you are unsure about buying this product, go to your local Best Buy and listen to them. Also, compare them to other brands. This will help you appreciate the Bose® speakers more. You will also see the Companion® 5 speaker system at Best Buy. The only difference in them is that the they have more bass and that is because it comes with a separate subwoofer. But the problem is that the price is $400!! I wouldn't want a seperate subwoofer because the Companion® 20's have very good bass and they will be easier to move around or to take somewhere else. Whereas the Companion® 5, you will need to carry a huge subwoofer if you want to take the speakers somewhere.

Overall, I would highly recommend these speakers because they are the best speakers you will find for $250. I've been a Bose® fan for a long time and I always will be one. Bose® is the best brand you can go to for sound. If you don't belive this, go to their website and see the large variety of Bose® products. Also, research the company's history. The company started in the 1960's whereas other known companies like Beats® by dr.dre have started in like 2004. This show how long Bose® has been improving their sound for all of their products. I hope this review was helpful and you won't go wrong buying these speakers.

An excellent pair of computer speakers

Most people don’t pay much attention to computer speakers. Those who are interested in good quality sound will make a strategic investment. Others will just get anything to get by because the situation is just not that serious. If you fall into the latter category than the speakers or not for you. If you are an audio file and really care about the sound that comes from your computer or your laptop then you may want to consider the investment in the speakers. The reason why I called him an investment is because they are expensive. You can find plenty of other speakers that are a quarter of the price. However if you want a set of desktop speakers that House good bass treble and mid range without having to use a subwoofer you may want to consider the speakers.

Pros - they are nice looking and solidly built. They sound great and they save space by not including a bass subwoofer.

Cons - they are expensive (comparatively speaking), they only come in one color (silver), and the wires can be obtrusive (in addition to having the wires that connect the speakers to the computer and the speakers to each other you also have another wire that connects the speakers to a physical sound pod that controls your sound on mute functions and also serves as a headphone port).

Final verdict- if you care enough about high quality sound and you have a big enough budget for computer accessories then you should definitely consider these speakers. Are they worth the $250 price tag? Well that’s entirely up to you.

    Excellent! Give them your money!

I'll give a different review. i am amazed at how clear and full these speakers are at low levels. While others are asleep I can still have these speakers on because even at their lowest level you can still hear everything perfectly. Easily, the best speakers I've ever had for a desktop. Plus they match perfectly. The design gives them a little tilt upward which is also appreciated for my standing desk. Such a full sound even at low levels. The price is highly acceptable for these babies. Also, that little sound circle thingy behind my keyboard is extremely useful. Just tap for quick on and off instead of the Control + Volume I was working with. The dial spins for volume levels. I am abnormally excited over these speakers and you will be too. They also easily fill a room perfectly as well. But that's not what they're for. Your days in front of the computer will be eased with the perfect coffee shop vibe they produce.

    Great sound from small speakers

I had been wanting to try Bose speakers for a long time since I also have Bose AE2 headphones which sound great! These speakers also sound very good. I am surprised that they sound as good as they do from such a small set of speakers. I was debating these Bose Companion 20 or Companion 2 series 3 speakers and I decided to go with companion 20 based on product description saying they sound good across a room. They really do sound good from a distance. I think actually even better than sitting close to them. I don’t have these hooked up to a computer. I have them hooked up to the headphone jack of an Insignia shelf system I recently bought and have set up in my bedroom. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money for a Bose wave radio and figured this may give me some of the sound of that. I’ve Never listened to a Wave radio so I can’t judge based on that. Overall very satisfied. I will just add that I do think the price is high when you don’t get a sub woofer. It does have great bass and they don’t need one however. I just think these would be a much better value at $150 or $199 and it makes me wonder how much better the Bose Companion 5 sounds with the sub woofer. I just didn’t want to spend the $399 that those cost. I almost forgot to mention that, like most other reviews the circle volume control pod is nice and has a very nice feel and build quality to it. I didn’t really need it considering how I am using these. I just use the remote from my stereo to turn up volume but if I ever hook them up to my Macbook it’s nice to know that they have the easily accessible volume adjustment.

    OUT STANDING 2.1 Speaker system

I got this system for my Tv / Blu Ray player at my office.

    I have a 24 inch Insignia LED 1080P Model: NS-24E400NA14

    and Blu Ray player.

I use the TV for watching movies. I hooked up the 2.1 speaker system to the blu ray player RCA input and out put. red / white. Had to buy cables. It did come with the head phone / jack cable. But I wanted the truest and best sound so I used the RCA cables.

Let me tell you this thing ROCKS!, I have the volume on the speakers at about 1/2 way and the sub woofer at about 3/4 .. OMG you can feel the bass..I watched Olympus has Fallen over the weekend... amazing sound from the speakers. You would have thought I have a 500-1,000dollar home theater system. Not a 107 dollars 2.1 computer speaker system.

    Awesome Bass and Clarity

These speakers are really nice especially for the price. I had a cheap $20 set of logitech speakers that lasted me 7 years that finally gave out today. So I went and picked this up. Wow. These speakers are impressive! The bass is awesome and you can adjust it to your liking. The speakers can get veryyy loud and at first it may feel like the mids and highs are lackluster but they are very pure. You can hear so many different things going on and the sound is very crisp. Even on max volume there is no distortion just the sound being amplified. Definitely recommend.

    Fantastic speakers!

I’m so pleased with these speakers. These are my first high quality speakers and I’m so impressed with the sound quality overall. Setting them up was a little stressful due to my inexperience with speakers of any kind and the smallish setup of my desk but it all came together in the end and I couldn’t be happier. In the past I’ve used my laptop’s speakers to monitor my sound levels on my video projects and this isn’t such a huge upgrade. I also got them on sale, which is a huge plus.

An Incredible Price for an Incredible Trio

Was recommended these speakers by a musician friend. I was aiming to stay as close to $100 as possible and only paid $107 for these after tax. The highs are incredibly clear. The sub provides incredible bass that when bumped with "Bury a Friend" (Billie Eilish) shook my entire room. Super happy with them and they way the seamlessly worked into my setup running off the MacBook Pro 2019.

Very powerful! I would gladly put the Z623 up against any 2.1 system of double the cost and listen to the Logitech embarrass its competitor. Having the Z623 at your desk is like driving a sports car, you just cant wait to open it up! I assure, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

The screens are the weakest link. - Good overall

These are good speakers. The remote though doesn’t seem to turn them on. The power from the remote will only turn the blue mode on. I’m guessing this is the Bluetooth mode. But when this happens I can’t hear the speakers at all. The remote doesn’t even turn them fully on where the light is green. Only when the light is green am I able to hear them. When manually powered on green one speaker will turn on and then small wait time the other will turn on. But it does have good sound and they look nice. The screen cover over the speakers is the only thing besides the plug that looks cheap. The screens look like they used just any off brand screen and glued them on. I would have liked a more durable stronger screen. These feel like one poke just from moving them with puncher the screen. The price is the thing that I didn’t like the most. I just don’t feel like they were worth the almost two hundred dollar market. These are just basic good speakers I’m happy with them but if I were to move I don’t know if they would stay in One piece especially the screens.

    Wow.....I'm thrilled.....

My initial debate was whether or not I needed a subwoofer and concluded....."heck no"! During the research about subwoofers, I discovered that there is a newer version for $10 more that has a sub plugin and if I didn't already have these, I might go for the upgrade......but really, I don't know....these are really good. Switching between my theater system and these, in the same room, the difference in sound is negligible and I have a fairly good system with Dali speakers and such. These are placed behind my "sitting space" and really entertain well. The only downer is that the remote is a little glitchy, slow to work, but the connectivity and sound are stunning, Great engineering and the price point is unbelievable. I don't know why Best Buy doesn't stock these in the stores. They'd rush out the door....... I had stumbled on these from a UK reviewer and so glad that I did......

Powerful speakers in a small package

Don't let the size of these fool you--these speakers are sufficiently loud and clear. They can handle bass if you like that, and the highs are nice and clear.

I've mostly been using these with a Bluetooth turntable, and they sound awesome!

They even got Tekken soundtrack on turntable records now, but only Tekken 1 and 2. Eddy Gordo was released on Tekken 3 so I can't use my Eddy to listen to Eddy, but maybe I can still dream!

These speakers sound amazing and the look of them is different but in a good way! The application for the speakers is also fairly easy to use, the only complaint I have is that the LEDs are not bright enough even when you have them on max in the application. Other than that these speakers are nothing more than fantastic.

A solid set of stylish speakers that sound great

These are excellent speakers from Razer. I originally never would have though of Razer as an audio company, despite owning THX, but they have released several products with great sound quality. These are one of them.

Despite not having a subwoofer, these output high bass without distorting. You can adjust the bass in their accompanying program or using one of the dials (the other controls volume and it matches the system volume so you don't need to balance your PC's output and these). Razer Central controls everything and the RGP can be synced with other Razer products.

The speakers are bigger than they look online, they're larger than a 16oz can. They remind me of the BFG can that Monster used to release. The increase in size means larger bass so I'm ok with it. They connect via a regular USB-A port and have their own power brick. My PC (a Dell XPS 13 2-in-1) picked them up right away without issues.

You can further tune the audio in Razer's program, I bumped the bass up a bit and left everything else as is. They're able to fill my office area at 30-40% volume. Highs are clear and not fatiguing, mids are there (albeit somewhat lacking), and the bass is solid without distorting or overpowering. These sound better than the Bose 2.1 system they replaced.

I recommend these if you want a good set of 2.0 speakers that perform like other 2.1 systems. They sound more expensive than they are and Razer's RGB is top notch. Their build quality is solid and, aside from taking up more space than I thought they would, have been a perfect add-on for my office space that turns into a gaming area whenever I'm done.

They’re what you expect from Razer

I have an entire Razer Chroma setup, with Phillips Hue lights, and speakers were my last piece of the gaming pc puzzle. So I felt obligated to get Razer speakers to match everything else. The sound quality of the speakers, are decent at best. The adjustable knobs are convenient and the style and unique aesthetics can’t be beaten. The RGB glow is pretty dim even when turned up to 100% brightness, so don’t expect anything spectacular there.

In conclusion, it’s what you expect from Razer, if you’re willing to take a small step down in sound quality for a huge step up in aesthetics then these are great.

I recently purchased these speakers for my new Mac mini set-up. It was an easy install and the Mac detected them right away. The Bluetooth feature was a bonus as my Mac Mini has only one AUX port and I'm currently using them for my headset/mic set-up. A very nice full sound for their size and keeping in mind they are only for my desk top. I use them for listening to my music while I work as well as streaming movies. I also like LED light features. Overall, a very good value for their price point ! I definitely recommend.

    Great Speakers!

Ok, so starting off I just needed a set of speakers and a was torn between these and these and the Logitech Z200 speakers. The only thing that pushed me to these speakers is the Bluetooth capability.

Now, having set them up and tested the sound, I have to say that these speakers are awesome! The sound is super clear and the bluetooth was easy to set up.

For anyone wondering, the power cable is a USB cable to USB adapter plug, however, if you have a desktop you shouldn't have a problem running the speakers off of the desktop USB port instead of a wall plug.

TLDR; These speakers are great for the price, have a really easy setup, and look sick.

These speakers have fantastic sound. They have a rich warm tone. They have great mids, bass, and good highs. The treble could use a tad more sparkle which can be tweaked with a software equalizer. I used these to replace a 15 year old 5.1 surround system. I was looking for big sound with a smaller footprint in my 12 by 12 foot office.

I would have given these speakers 5 stars for their impressive sound. However, there was one disappointment. The power/volume knob is hard wired to the sub which does not allow putting the sub under my desk and threading the volume knob through the desktop port whole for cable management.

So, I was able to put the left and right speakers on my desktop and run the wires through the desk port whole to the sub on the floor under my desk. But I have to reach under my desk to control the knob. The knob on my old 5.1 system had a detachable plug to the sub that could be threaded to the desktop. If this system had that feature it would be a 5 star.

    Well Worth the Money

The unit came well packed and in good condition. It was easy to set up and connect to my computer and has a very well balanced sound. The hand volume/tone control is convenient to use but the rotary tone control could use a little more resistance to moving after it is adjusted. The small speakers have no protection on the front of each small cabinet and are subject to damage if one is not careful.

    Perfect Dance Game Speakers

I picked this up specifically for use with StepManiaX, an arcade rhythm game that is available for home use. Because the game comes built into a touchscreen monitor, it's basically an all-in-one PC/monitor solution so I went with these Logitech Z533 PC speakers rather than a TV soundbar like I was originally going to. Anyway, these speakers sound incredible and once I turn the bass up on the subwoofer, It feels like I'm standing in the arcade, no joke. If you're looking for some amazing sounding speakers for DDR, Stepmania, or any other home rhythm game setup, do yourself a favor and grab these! One final thing I love is that the subwoofer is not wireless, that helps to reduce latency which always matters when playing rhythm games.

    High quality three speaker setup

I've had these speakers for a little over three weeks and have been very impressed in that short time frame. Since working from home I've been able to use a small Bluetooth speaker in our home office but wanted a better setup, that led to the decision to upgrade to the Edifier speaker system listed above.

Upon receipt the item was packaged by very safely and no damage was noticed. The build quality was evident from the get-go as they have a nice weight to them. After unboxing and connecting everything it was time to test out the quality.

First impression was amazing, the two titanium-dome speakers give clean high's and mid's and the included wires give ample room to spread out for the desired range or room setting. The bass really drives home the full sound, the 8-inch subwoofer gives a powerful bottom to all of my favorite songs and adds an whole new level to the sound quality. The final point that really stands out to me is the included remote. You're able to adjust volume and even skip songs on the original device directly through the speakers, not a necessity by any stretch but a great bonus feature.

At this point I have not noticed any downsides to the speakers. My neighbors may disagree but for the price these really can't be matched. Great quality and a very clean look!

Incredible sound quality for the money!

This speaker system packs a lot of punch for the money. They are small, elegant, and put out amazing sound. They hooked up to my phone right away. I was also able to hook them up to my record player and even my receiver. Unfortunately, I don’t have the right inputs to hook it up to my TV, directly. But, I’m investigating. You really can’t be the price for the quality of these speakers.

    Fantastic sound quality.

    Can’t beat the price.

Small Sub makes it easy to conceal.

Look and feel like more expensive speakers.

    Does not Disappoint

These are replacing my 10+ year old Klipsch Pro Media 2.1's. Sadly they bit the dust and it seems Best Buy no longer carries them. I was disappointed to see they were no longer in stock. There just isn't much else in that $150 price range that matches what those speakers could do.

After much youtubing and redditing I landed on these and I am not disappointed.

I am not a hardcore audiophile, but I can appreciate good sound and know what I like. These fit the bill and sound more like something in the $500 price range.

The first thing I noticed is that these are HEAVY. The build quality seems to be top notch. Only time will tell how they hold up, but I can see these outlasting my old Pro Medias.

Sound quality is amazing as you may have gathered. I am hearing sounds that I didn't get from the Klipschs. Honestly that is saying a lot as they were no slouch. I never felt a need to replace those. The highs and mids are excellent and the bass hits appropriately. Some EQ tweaking may be required, but is mostly personal preference.

Set up is easy. Inputs, including Bluetooth are a welcome option that I didn't have before. Obviously not as modular as a passive set-up with an dedicated amp, but its very good for what it offers and cuts down on bulk and cables.

I would highly recommend this for a pc set up. Skip the fancy gaming/RGB set ups. This is better. Embrace it!

This is also a great option for a living room TV set up if you don't want to go full surround, but want better than a sound bar or tv speakers. It has an optical cable and will work by default with any modern TV right out of the box.

I noticed a lot of people online wondering how these are against the Klipsch Pro-Media. As a 10+ year user of those speakers, I can say these are truly better. And they should be at twice the cost. Are they twice as good? No. Price to performance, the pro medias are still king. But if you can foot the extra cost, you will get better sound, quality build and slightly more modularity. I fully expect these to last as long or longer than Klipschs.

Thank you Edifier for making such a great product at a reasonable price.

I Really like this set up. Both speakers sound really nice and the subwoofer hits hard with deep bass. Problem is the subwoofer is already blown, and i dont see how because i just got the set up in august and im hardly home to use them. so i hope the manufacturer warranty will take care of this problem so i dont have to replace it myself. Would have gave it a 5 star but considering my issue.

Fantastic PC speaker when paired with a good sub

I replaced a set of Logitech pc speakers and subwoofer with the Edifier R1850DB speakers and a SVS SB-1000 subwoofer and I couldn't be happier. When I bought the Logitech PC speakers some 10 years ago I thought they sounded pretty good, but now that I have heard what high quality speakers should sound like in my home theater it became difficult to continue using the logitechs.

The reason I bought the Edifier R1850DB is because of the subwoofer output that allows you to use any subwoofer. I chose the SVS subwoofer because it is compact yet very powerful. I want to feel the bass in my chest. I know it's not the cheapest option, but I would rather have more subwoofer than I need and turn it down, than not have enough.

The Edifier has a fairly neutral sound, but you can tune it to your taste with the a treble and bass knob located on the back of the speaker. You can run them without a subwoofer, but these speakers are meant to be enjoyed with a quality sub. They really shine when paired with a nice sub. I found that the bass really rolled off around 80hz, so you'll want to set the crossover on your subwoofer between 80-100hz. Plan to spend a chunk of time tinkering to get the system sounding exactly the way you want it. For the best sound quality, I recommend connecting these to the computer by optical cable.

The sound quality of the new set up has exceeded my expectations and is a substantial upgrade over what I had before. If you aren't satisfied with the sound quality of your typical PC speaker offerings, then this could be your next step up the audio ladder if you're able to spend the extra money.

I was blown away by the sound quality for the price. Enough bass for a desktop 2.0 system, but they'd really fill out the space with a subwoofer.

    Loves these!

These speakers are wonderful. Crispy clear LOUD sound. I bought them for the computer. They are a tad big for just computer speakers but I don't stream a bunch from my computer and they just sound great when I back up a bit to watch a show. Of course, they sound great streaming music as well and it is nice to be able to switch over and play from my phone on Bluetooth.

They feel great, nice, and solid.

Unreliable Remote control - and poor support

The speakers work fine, but I'm at my 4th remote control. I found out that many people have the issue I have and I can't fix it.

I sent an email to the company never got a response. Then when I ordered twice extra remote controls, they just offered to send me another remote!!

    No regrets

After 3 years with these speakers connected to my computer for music, gaming and all around use and I still am very very pleased. I did add a 10" polk sub which was easy due to the dedicated sub out which rocks the entire house whenever i get the urge. I get some very full sound for $300 (including sub) that thumps nicely when i need it. The optical connection is what I use, which is nice clean sound, leaving the rca connections and 1/4" audio port on my computer free to have a second system hooked up for the times when i want to have more treble or just a different sound every now and then for different applications. This way i do not have to mess with the setting on my edifiers. Front bass port is also a plus for desktop setups close to the wall or like mine, wall mounted, to get all the bass that they can give coming right at me.

In the end they are very good media entertainment speakers with a ridiculous amount of connections on the back with treble and bass adjustments which is nice to have. I even use the blue-tooth now and then which has worked without any problems. No complaints at all at this price range.

    Excellent speakers!

I bought these because I wanted something to connect to all my devices at once (tv/ps4, record player, bluetooth, computer). This did not disappoint at all! Sound is very clear and full (depending on the source of course) and it's very easy to switch between inputs. My selling point on these versus the cheaper model was the ability to turn them on/off with the remote.

I was just trying to get something to play mp3’s And stream that sounded decent. I am a pro audio guy and I own pair of a Sennheiser Momentum headphones that are optimized for mp3. I was hoping to find speakers that were similar. I already own speakers much higher price and quality than these. They would render mp3s too obviously bad compared to hq audio files or cds. I am one of those guys that hears a difference.

That being said, I gotta say the tone knob on these allowed me to dial in a tone for mp3s and streaming that was rich in detail and the bass is not too muddy. I can’t honestly expect more for $200. I am surprised but not shocked though, since I did a lot of reading. If you are expecting an audiophile system, that it is not. It is a much better than avg computer speaker though, and the ability to add a sub later sealed the deal.

Watch out for the little Indicator lite though on the front of the right speaker. If you are fussy about stuff like lights in unexpected places, sleeping with it on, etc it might be a problem. Not for me.

Great inexpensive solution to computer audio

Great inexpensive speakers for a work from home setup. A few things to note:

    - Speakers are powered so they require an outlet

    - 3.5mm TRS headphone cable to connect to audio source/laptop

    - 1 speaker and 1 passive radiator in each enclosure (looks like there’s 2 speakers in each enclosure but only one works and the other is a “dummy” speaker that helps the sound)

This is not a gaming setup or expensive studio speakers so adjust your expectations accordingly. They are nice inexpensive speakers that do the job far better than a majority of built in laptop speakers (with the exception of high end gaming laptops).

    Good sound for $29.99

Just needed a simple speaker system so I didn’t always have to have my headphones on lol. sometimes I wished they could be louder for example, playing Skyrim all volumes are maxed out and it’s hard to hear the voices clearly. I just adjusted the in game audio settings to make it bareable. But for the price you pay it’s quite worth it. Nice design as well

Referring to the image I added. My set up now has liquid cooling! Still setting things up in the new office

    Great Price, Sacrifice Loudness.

These speakers have a minimalistic look and sound good with okay loudness with a great price. They come in a pair with a non-removable cable connecting the two. The non-removable aux cable included is pretty short so be careful of where you are going to plug these in. They sound great to good depending on what you are playing BUT they do not get very loud. Your phone may be just as loud as these speakers! It does have a tone (bass) adjuster on the side which is nice. Main reason I purchases these was the price and the look of them. Would recommend if on a budget and not looking for loud speakers. Perfect for online meetings.

These speakers are perfectly suitable, especially for the price. Loud enough and get the job done. I got rid of my speakers with the subwoofer bc the subwoofer blurred out the sound with too much bass that I couldn't hear clearly. These speakers will be perfect for both music off your computer and hearing people talk (news, youtube). It's a steal for the price. and they are small.

Good value compact speakers loud sound decent bass

Loud sound with decent bass for compact computer speakers. Only con is all the wires can get tangled easily and a bit difficult to make neat. This is because it is amplified and powered by wall plug, so both the sound wires and power wires connecting speakers and plug to outlet is a few wires that can get tangled up. Overall good value and sound for low price point.

Just Work. Excellent Set of Value Speakers

We have 3 of these speaker setups. 2 of them are at least 4 or 5 years old and we just purchased another set for my daughter's home school station. All 3 stations use these. They did change the logo on them, but that's to be expected over time. They work very well and have a good full sound to them. Not tinny, flat, or lacking bass. Will keep good clarity up to reasonably high volumes without cracking or distortion. Excellent value. Only issue we don't like is the cable going into the control module not being a plug that can be removed. We always have a hard time routing it through cable pass throughs and the like because the module is so big. Other than that, it's a great set for it's price. It would even be a great set for twice it's price.

I bought this to replace my old speakers. I didn’t need anything that would blow you out or seat. I really like this set. The speakers sound great, and the subwoofer is pretty decent too. The sub won’t rumble you fillings or anything, but provides a good amount of bass for it’s size. I caught it on sale for under 30 bucks, it’s definitely worth that and more.

    Best $40 ever spent

These speakers are beyond amazing. The bass is on another level and highs are crisp and clear. They are perfectly balanced and are more than perfect for computer speakers. I have mine hooked up to my PS4 through an HDMI splitter so that might contribute to the performance of the speakers, but either way they are absolutely amazing. I've had them for a few days now and I still can't get over how incredible they are.

These would be very good as external TV speakers and they're more than enough as computer speakers or for gaming. They would even be perfect as speakers for your room for music playing in general.

Improved sound for my video projector

Talked to one of your employees regarding a better sound system for my video projector. He advised against this item as there might be "sound lag", but since it was more in line with my rather tight budget at the time, I bought it. I figured if it didn't work out I could always return it. But to my surprise, it provided much better sound than the "tinny" speakers built into my projector did. And with the subwoofer the sound had a much nicer tone. And, surprise, no "sound lag". The system was also easy to hook up; just needed a few adaptors, which I already had.

    very good speakers..

good sound out of the small speakers. bass speaker is very good as well.. if you are placing the bass on carpet you wont get good sound unless you put something solid under it.. i put a small piece of thin pine board i had under it made a huge difference. i really do like these over the speakers and woofer i had before, big difference in sound quality. and really like the extended cord with the volume/on,off button/ earphone plug in that you can sit on your desk, very convenient.

i would recommend these to anyone looking for an upgrade.

you have to buy these! Jan 15 2021

Two months ago, I finally moved on from my 10 year old laptop, and bought a new HP home pc and 4K 28 monitor. I was and still am so happy with those. But I got tired of losing my bluetooth signal on my 808 speaker, so saw these online, then went in to the store. Mike, at the West Omaha store took these out of the box for me, plugged them in, and wow. About 8 seconds, and I knew i wanted these. Great, great deal at $19.99 but with my $5 rewards, I was able to get them for $15! I never really knew what people meant by "clear"- thought maybe too much treble. But even tho these speakers have only the volume control, they play sound wonderfully every time you turn them on. Plenty of cord length to fit your distance needs. Nice, black modern looks to them. The sound on Pandora is teriffic!

Thanks, Best Buy.. and thanks again, big MIke!

Exactly What I Was Looking For

The speakers and sound on our extra TV was just terrible. I decided to take a chance on these and they are better than I expected. I was a little concerned about some of the reviews that complained about buzzing. But the instructions recommended placing the speakers as far apart from each other as possible and that seemed to work. No buzzing issues here.

The instructions for setup didn't work for me. What did work was plugging one speaker connection into the TV's headphone port and the speaker's USB connection into one of the TV's USB ports. So only the TV is plugged into an electrical outlet, and the speakers are just connected to the TV.

For under $20, don't expect anything big. They are "speakers" for when one needs "speakers". I wouldn't get these to listen to music or to impress anyone. I would only buy them in case I had a comp where I wanted to play sound out loud and wanted a very basic speaker. With that said, these are "quality".

    Amazing speakers!

These are amazing. They sound really good and the led effects are super cool. The Logitech software that runs it is a little quirky and has a bit of a learning curve tbh....this con is not enough to dock a star imo. Setting the screen areas for light duplication is pretty easy at least. I have always enjoyed Logitech products but this is the first time i paid this much and it was worth it. other reviewers have stated the virtual surround sound ain't great. It's a 2.1's not gonna sound like 5.1, 7.1 or 10.1 ever.

    Holy moly

I bought this as a gift for my significant other for his birthday. He has a RGB for his desktop setup but was looking into speakers. I was stuck between the Razr brand and Logitech. He already has the Razr brand mouse, mousepad, & keyboard. I’m happy I decided the G560 speakers instead of the nomma chromas. These pack a lot of power. If you live in a apartment I don’t recommend these. They’re very powerful and very loud. He loves them!

These speakers are amazing. I have the Bose Companion 3 Series II and these Logitech G560 kill them. For $200 it’s awesome. Music sounds amazing. I would recommend these to anybody. I mostly listen to Rap music and they sound great. I have them hooked up to my iMac and I turn it up 4 clicks and they are loud enough. Buy them. Don’t think about it!!!

Well worth the $49.99 very reasonable price tag!

I've always been a fan of Logitech video and audio equipment. I currently own a Logitech webcam for Internet streaming and the Logitech z323 is well work the 49.99 price tag! The audio is crisp and the bass goes hard even when only dialed to the halfway point. I had to lower from the halfway point so not to disturb the neighbors. lol.

Years ago, I purchased a similar system, of course a much older design for 10.00 dollars more than what I paid for the newer model. I loved the sound quality of the older model, also so buying the newer model with the sleek design of the front speakers, at a lower price was a no brainer!

I have my Logitech speaker connected to my gaming desktop and big screen TV and can switch between both devices flawlessly using the TV input controls on my remote.

Again, well worth the $49.99 price tag, which I think is very reasonable.

    Great Speakers for the price

From the reviews I read on Google, Best Buy, Amazon, and anywhere else I could find reviews, I knew these were the speakers I was going to get. One thing that I could not figure out was if it had an Auxiliary port. I bought them anyway. Glad I did. Ladies and Gentlemen, this set of speakers is perfect for just about everything. It does have volume control, subwoofer control on back of subwoofer, and it does have a headphone jack and an Auxiliary jack. It has a good subwoofer, and it has great volume while always clear. It also has great sound with all types of music. I know because I listen to everything. Very satisfied with my decision and purchase.

Sound is clear, just enough bass to sound like your in the same room with your "source". Enough High end to be clear and intelligible. Just the right size, doesn't hog the real estate on my desk. Plenty of power for me. Music and speaking both sound good. Price was very in my budget. Love the on/off switch also being the volume adjust. Plugs into AC power, NO USB BATTERY BULL. All Good!

    Surprise for the money

These speakers replaced a supurb set that came with my turn of the century IBM computer and its push button on/off finally gave out. I didn't expect the 6 wt sound to match the old 35 watt speakers but it came pretty darn close. The main differences were in the base sounds and the fact there is not a tone control, just volume, on these.

Overall, I'd say for 20 bucks the Logitech is quite serviceable and a great deal for ordinary listening.

    Nearly perfect gaming speaker

Panasonic has released a great new product for gamers that don't need a huge entertainment system for audio. The package comes with the Soundslayer speaker, AC power cord/block attachment, remote control, and instruction manual. Panasonic offers a 1-year limited warranty for the speaker.

    * Unlike smaller bluetooth/3.5mm portable audio devices, this one is wired via HDMI/fiber. Has a much better sound than using analog connections or bluetooth.

    * Perfect size for gamers that play in a confined area (ie. dorm room, bedroom) where loud and massive audio is not ideal.

    * Easy setup, plug-and-play design

    * Deep immersive gaming sounds when playing PS4/PS5. Most sounds you hear with headphones are still heard with this speaker.

    * The remote control offers multi-functions that are easy to use. Remote is light but solid.

    * Since this speaker has both HDMI and Digital (fiber) audio, you can technically have 2 different wired sources connect in addition to wireless bluetooth.

    * I did not experience any kind of lag/delay in audio/video sync.

    * It has 4K passthrough with multiple audio formats that it can handle including Dolby Atmos and DTS-X.

    * The biggest con is that a digital display is not provided. This is a very simple addition that would have really put this speaker at the top of its game. Instead, you have to know the light sequences in order to know what happens. There isn't much for the lights to do, but a digital readout would still be way more convenient than lights flashing left/right, or a specific number of times.

    * Many gamers play 2 different platforms (PS5/Xbox/PC/PS4) or at least USE 2 of these. Since there is only 1 HDMI in/out, you may need to buy a separate HDMI switch if you want multiple inputs to the speaker. IE. My son in college uses this speaker for both his PC and PS5. We bought a separate HDMI switch to accommodate this setup. Having 1 more HDMI input would be good at this price point. You can see the small HDMI switch we use in one of my pictures (2 input, 1 output).

    * This speaker is clearly not for deep immersive MUSIC. It has bass, but only to a limited extent. It really is more for gaming/TV sounds rather than music. Even though it does have Bluetooth (BT), music would sound better on most other BT wireless speakers. Deep bass sounds sound more like a thud than a boom. But given the size of the bass driver, that should be expected.

    * If you lose your remote, you still have some functionality with the Power/Volume/Input buttons on the right side of the unit. Don't lose the remote or you'll lose a bit of functionality.

    * Keep in mind that when you plug in the speaker to another source that has its own volume controls, you'll want to set the volume to the source and the speaker itself in a way in which you can adjust the volume of the other so it's convenient for you. (ie. If you want to control the speaker via PC, turn up the speaker all the way and use the PC volume controls to raise volume up and down).

    * The power cord is proprietary with a power block in the middle (not USB-C).

This gaming speaker is very simplistic in nature. It's not complicated. It's plug and play, has some good features including having quick bass control and surround 3D sound via the remote. It's perfect for college student (dorm room) or a gamer at home that may not want a ton of bass thumping the entire house. Clarity of voices is crystal clear, and sheer volume is plenty. This is a great substitution for not using headphones as the 3D sound is very good. The biggest flaw is the sequence of the lights and not having a digital display of some sort. You need the instructions to know what the lights are telling you which is a nuisance during initial setup. But once you know what the lights do, it's not too bad; however, IMO, it's enough to get a star knocked off the final rating. A good user interface is worth a lot.

Very Crisp Sound in Perfect Sync with Video

The Soundslayer had very crisp sound, incuding lots of bass; and stayed in sync with either games or YouTube videos as to video and sound. Often, cheaper units have a delay with the singer-video and the audio and with this device this never occurred. Of course with gaming this is a ‘must’ feature – so highest marks here.

I did pair a gaming laptop and desktop as well as a cell phone with the Soundslayer. All machines eventually paired, but in every case it took a few cycles of moving Bluetooth off and on to finally see the Soundslayer in the list of items to pair; so this was a minor annoyance.

I also used HDMI cables to connect the Soundslayer. Whether Bluetooth or cabled, the speaker performed excellent.

The sound was terrific and really enhanced game playing, I never heard my motorsports game so precise where you could hear all the different sounds coming from the small speakers. This unit is relatively heavy and this heft attests to the power of the speakers inside. I didn’t hear a lot of difference between the 4 sound modes, but there were better highs in game mode per my ears.

I’ve attached a photo to show how nice the unit fits under this 32” monitor which is a big plus so that it is basically out of the way when playing games or listening to music. Movies were wonderful to hear with such clarity in the sound. I played some classical music and it was far better with this unit than with other various speakers I tried.

I do highly recommend this unit, it is worth the extra cost to get a unit that obviously is more than just speakers since the engineers have built in the electronics to create a better game environment. Great.

    Perfect Soundbar for Gamers!

The Panasonic Soundslayer is a the best soundbar I've used in years! Not only is it a PC gamers dream, it works in pretty much every room you can think of. I was immediately impressed with its size and sheer performance. You can use this as a home theater in your living room or on your desk to maximize immersion and get the audio advantage of a traditional headset. The soundslayer features 3 main game sound modes and can also be connected via Bluetooth with incredible listening quality. Setup was simple and can connect a couple of ways to fit your needs, whether it's hdmi or optical. The design is sleek and fits beautifully just about anywhere you place it. I have mine under my monitor and it takes up barely any space, this is a huge plus. The remote is pretty standard, nothing too crazy about it but it does it's job. I mainly play fps games so the 2nd game mode that boosts 3d surround is my default setting. The quality here is absolutely top notch and I really feel like I can hear every detail from footsteps to the ambience in a map. Awareness is key and this soundbar makes you feel like you have an advantage over others with just subpar tv speakers. The other 2 modes also work great in their respective areas. And if you're not really a gamer and want something to complement your living room and enhance your listening experience, the Soundslayer will certainly get the job done as well. This product is a great addition for anyone who's ready to step up their audio game! Panasonic has created a master class soundbar in a convenient little box. If your willing to dish out the cash, you'll be making a great choice.

    Would love additional features

We moved into our house nearly 10 years ago. Ever since then, I’ve found myself rearranging the furniture and electronics every couple of months. I finally got it into a layout that is both comforting and practical for my needs. One of the things that I really like about the room is that I have it divided up into sections. One section has a place for me to shoot photos, another has a place for me to work on my computer, and the third area is designated for gaming. I have an Xbox Series X that I typically use for my gaming activities. Right now, it’s just plugged into my TV, which has decent speakers, but I’ve been wanting something that offers a bit more power. The problem I have is that space is at a premium in my office so I didn’t want a full multi-speaker surround sound set-up. So, I turned to soundbars. Since one of the main reasons I want better sound is for gaming, I selected the Soundslayer since it’s specifically designed for that purpose.

The first thing I noticed about the Soundslayer is its size. It is very compact - measuring only 17 inches long. One of the pictures I included shows the speaker sitting on top of an Xbox One X just to demonstrate the size difference. Since I was trying to take up as little space as possible, the smaller size of the speaker is a big plus for me. I do have to admit though, a speaker of this size starts to look puny next to a 65-inch television. I have my TV mounted to a wall in my office and I was hoping to be able to use a soundbar mount so that the speaker could live directly beneath the TV on a mount of its own. Unfortunately, the Soundslayer isn't compatible with wall mounting. The mount I had could hold it as a shelf, but since I didn’t have a good way to secure the speaker - due to the absence of mounting holes - I opted to just set the speaker on the TV stand. Because I try to keep that area as clutter-free as possible and this change-up caused me to router wires differently and rearrange the top of my TV stand to accommodate the speaker, I have to take points away for the design of this speaker and its lack of mounting options.

To test the sound quality out, I plugged my Xbox into the soundbar using HDMI and played a few rounds of Red Dead Redemption 2. While I was playing, I would swap back and forth between the different sound modes. I started with GAME mode and was really blown away by the crisp sound quality I got from the soundbar. Since I’m used to simply using the TV's speakers, there were a lot of sounds that I could now hear because they were being enhanced by the soundbar’s features. It was very impressive. While I was still on GAME mode, I switched on the 3D surround sound effect. I didn’t exactly feel as though I was surrounded by sound, but I could tell that the 'effect' was present as it moved between the speakers in the soundbar. There was a discernible difference between GAME and STANDARD mode though. While the quality of the sound was still good, it just wasn’t as well-defined or as deep sounding as the GAME mode. STANDARD mode still beat out the TV speakers. CINEMA and MUSIC were very similar in my opinion. Since I was testing all of these out by playing a game, I know I might be missing some nuances that might be present when I watch a movie or listen to music.

While the sound quality and build are nice, there are a few things I don't like. First, there aren't enough inputs for my use. In fact, there aren’t enough inputs for my fiancé’s use either - and she only has an Xbox and an Apple TV. There are one HDMI input and one HDMI output. So, aside from using the optical cable or the Bluetooth connection, you can only have one device running through the soundbar. Second, there are no cables other than the power cable included. There isn’t even an optical cable included and most soundbars I’ve seen have at least included that. Third, the display is non-existent. Panasonic has done a nice job providing notifications through a series of LEDs on the soundbar, which is nice because you know that the button you’ve pressed on the remote has been received by the soundbar. But, it would be great to be able to see a volume level or a reminder about which mode you are actually on. While most of these are minor annoyances, they did affect my user experience and so I wanted to note them here.

This tiny soundbar does pack quite a punch in the sound department. It is easy to set-up and produces a high-quality sound. For its price, I would just like to see some sort of attention paid to the little details that would really make this a great speaker.

    Next Level Sound for Gaming

If you want more out of your gaming, then experience the Panasonic Sound Slayer with Dolby Atmos including HDR 4K UHD pass through. The Sound Slayer is a 2.1 setup in a 3 way speaker array. The built in subwoofer (16cm) tweeter (1.4cm) and mid (4cm) all work together to pull out loud, clear and amazing sounds within a small unit that can easily be placed in tiny areas where space is a premium. With built in Bluetooth, Dolby Atmos, DTS X and DTS Virtual X this gaming Soundbar will surround you with sound. There are multiple ways to connect to your favorite game, movie and music. Bluetooth is available, the HDMI ARC (Auto Return Channel) for 4k HDMI pass through to your entertainment and lastly the Optical cable option.

For me the optical cable was the way to go. It was so simple. Take an Optical cable from the out on the TV to the in on the Soundbar. Bam! You are now hooked up to use the Panasonic Sound Slayer how ever you choose. Bluetooth is another way to set up your Soundbar for music. Typically a flashing blue light indicates the Soundbar is trying to pair up with a smart phone, computer or other Bluetooth device. Once paired the blue light is solid. This is how most Soundbars hook up to Bluetooth and the Sound Slayer is no exception. Lastly are the HDMI cables you will need to transfer sound from your TV to your Soundbar. Make sure the cables are high speed HDMI so the setup can handle 4K with the Soundbar.

I enjoyed the 3 modes on the Soundbar for specific sound: #1 RPG (Role Playing Game) using the Soundbar for more precise sounding action. #2 FPS (First Person Shooter) This setting provides sound from many sides and even behind you. Now, when gaming and an opponent is behind you in the game, the sound will also be behind you with the Sound Slayer. #3 (Clearer speech), a better sense of clear dialogue, gives speech a great deal more of the power. Vocals are clear and easy to understand.

The most important feature, in my opinion, is the Dolby Atmos embedded in the Panasonic Sound Slayer. This is by far a great tech improvement for Soundbars everywhere. Sounds come from the top and bounce off the ceiling and walls creating a unique experience. It sounds very realistic to my ears. I have the Sound Slayer hooked up to the HDTV via the Optical cable. The sounds from the Sound Slayer really do reflect off the environment it is placed in. To get the true sound of innovation from the Sound Slayer, small to medium size rooms will give you the best bang.

A uniquely shaped, easy-to-use Remote, helps you select the sound mode, mute, 3D surround, volume, subwoofer intensity and Bluetooth pairing. Its shape helps not to mistake it for other remotes. I know I have 5 remotes so this is a small but helpful feature. The Input button lets you select between the different inputs like, Bluetooth, Optical cable and high speed HDMI.

The information book that explains how the features give way to the benefits is actually very helpful. Blinking blue, orange, and green lights tell you that tell you what stage you are in with the Sound Slayer. It takes a little while to get used to, but like anything else, the lights and buttons will become familiar. I had no trouble switching back and forth between modes and soundscapes with all the Dolby options available. There are also controls on the right side of the Sound Slayer if you prefer or if you lose the remote. It is a nice option to have, just in case.

Overall the Panasonic Sound Slayer 2.1 is a great addition to your entertainment system. If you find individual amps receivers or speakers are too expensive or something you don’t want to mess with, the Panasonic Sound Slayer might be the way for you. It gets really loud but with a full sound that will fill small and medium size rooms with music, gaming or movies. The Dolby Atmos is another great reason this Sound Slayer is worth a look.

Amazing sound in such a small package

When I 1st got my hands on the package, I thought to myself "Soundslayer?, but the box is small".....I was put in my place fast. Inside the box you'll find the soundbar, power cord and brick, remote and literally "Basic Instructions". I highly recommend scanning the QR code and download the full manual as it's ~24 pages long that lets you take advantage of its full potential.

Hooking up the bar couldn't be any simpler. You have 3 options, HDMI, Bluetooth and Optical. I use the HDMI option and love that it has 4K HDR passthrough. It even works with 3D if you still use it. Supports many formats of Dolby, Atmos, DTS, DTS X etc. There are 4 sound "modes" - Standard, Music, Cinema and Game. Within Game mode, there are 3 more options - Game 1, 2 and 3. 1 is for RPGs, 2 is for FPS and 3 enhances voice.

It could be a little frustrating at first to get used to figuring out what mode or sound options you are using because there is no screen to let you know. There are instead 4 LEDs and you must know which combination of blinking leds mean what (why I HIGHLY recommend DLing the full manual, it gives you all options).

Using it for my PC sounded great. Even though it does not have it's own separate sub, it does have one built it. Sound is LOUD and Crisp. No distortions at all. Bass was good and had some oomph to it. Also used this as a bar for my TV and hooked up my console to it. Size was perfect for my 40" 4K tv to fit right under it. The footprint is small and can fit almost anywhere. It even fills up not only my game room but also my living room. For the size, it is about the size of a regular keyboard (you can see my K95 in the background next to it).

I also paired my phone with it via Bluetooth and all music and podcasts sounded wonderful. Also a note in case you were wondering, I ran my PS5 to the bar via HDMI and then hooked it up to my TV's HDMI ARC input. There was no audio/video syncing issues at all. Perfectly in sync. In a rare chance you might want to adjust it, you can with the bar, though it is hard to navigate to it.

I highly would recommend this surprisingly awesome sound bar to anyone in the market for great sound, small footprint, portability and build quality.

    A Nice Little Sound Boost

The Panasonic - Soundslayer 2.1 soundbar is a nice upgrade for any means of gaming. It has the versatility to connect to your gaming console or PC via HDMI passthrough. There is also the option of using an optical connection or even Bluetooth. The optical connectivity would be optimal if you have multiple systems connected to your monitor or TV. The controls are fairly simple and you can adjust things using the control or the buttons on the side.

Generally speaking, the SoundSlayer soundbar provides excellent sound for as small as it is. Since it is just over 2” tall, it can easily squeeze into tight areas to stay out of the way. Case in point, I was able to slide it right under my 55” TV so it could be used to enhance the sound of our Switch. It fit in nicely and didn’t look out of place at all. As for connecting to my PC, it’s a little bulkier and stands out more than my 2 speaker setup. It’s not awful, but at just over 5” deep and 17” long, it takes up more real estate than I care to see.

Returning to the sound quality, it can really fill a room. You have the ability to make some sound adjustments to get exactly what you want too. There are Standard, Movie, Game, and Cinema setting options to match what you are watching or playing. There is also a subwoofer toggle to pump in as much bass as you desire. I found that they all perform well.

With all that being said, it’s not all glitter and gold. As many have stated, the HDMI passthrough results in a “blinking” of the screen when turning it on and off. It’s just an annoying thing to witness even though it is over quickly. The other thing is the LEDs on the front. I would prefer a better display to know what setting you are in because it’s going to take some time to get used to the LED placement and coloring to know what mode I am in. Also, those LEDs are constantly on so you are getting that added light when you are in a darker setting. That is certainly not ideal. Lastly, I am going to nitpick about the price point and not including at least one cable for connectivity is crazy.

All in all, the Panasonic - Soundslayer 2.1 can give your entertainment area a nice little boost without taking up a ton of space. It can certainly give you that better sound for your gaming needs or even your TV/movie watching.

Great sound in a small package

The Soundslayer is a fairly compact soundbar that fits on your tabletop. I gave it a go initially with my Xbox Series X and I was able to passthrough 4K HDR content without any issues. Played some solo, online and streamed some video content, regardless what I threw at it I was pleased with the sound, plus the volume that this compact soundbar can push out. Having it in a TV setup, my one complaint would be changing the volume, you can see the lights flashing from left to right or right to left depending on if you are turning the volume up or down, but there isn't really anyway to tell what your current volume level is.

The built in subwoofer works fairly well, which has four levels and you can tell where you are with the flashing lights. I will typically use the soundbar in Music, Cinema or Game depending on the content I am playing. I do like that Game does have 3 different settings, one for RPG, another for FPS and the last enhances voices. There is a sequence to the lights on front, that's explained in the manual, to let you know which setting you are currently in. There is also a Clear Dialog button.

Didn't spend a lot of time in bluetooth, but it's nice to know you can easily pair your phone or other bluetooth devices to output audio. I pretty much only used this for music while working on my PC.

This is a great soundbar if you are looking for great sound, but are limited on space. A LCD screen to show information would be great, just a mini one to display basic information such as volume level would be great. Also for the price it would be nice to see an optical audio cable or an HDMI included in the box to help get you setup quicker. I had to take a 18gbps cable from another room to get this up and running. Not deal breakers, just would be nice, wouldn't stop me from suggesting this sound system to anyone with limited space looking to get an enjoyable gaming experience!

    Incredible Versatility, Sound, and Value

I've been using Logitech's entry-level $25 computer speakers for years and had never really given any thought to upgrading them until I saw the Z407 announced. I had to do a double-take when I saw the price: a subwoofer, Bluetooth, and wireless controls for under $80? Seemed too good to be true, but I'm happy to report that Logitech has delivered a superb speaker system at a remarkable price.

    === SETUP ===

The system comes in a compact but surprisingly heavy box. Be prepared to remove a lot of packaging and wrapping as the box is tightly packed. Unfortunately, the only setup and operating instructions provided are printed on the flaps at the top of the box, and it consists entirely of pictures and no text. Luckily, it's pretty straightforward to connect the system to a computer using the standard aux cable (included). The subwoofer basically acts as the hub of the system, with both speakers connecting directly to the subwoofer, and then the subwoofer plugged into your power outlet. There are certainly a lot of wires to deal with, so you'll want to have some cable ties handy or a desk big enough to hide the wires behind.

My only complaint is that it's not immediately obvious how you switch the system between wired and Bluetooth modes. When I first plugged it into my computer I thought I had received a defective unit. Turns out you have to flip over the wireless control dial and select the desired input using a very small dedicated button. If you want to switch to Bluetooth, there's a Bluetooth button. There is a picture demonstrating this on the box, but again, without any written instructions, it's easy to miss.

I love how the speakers can be positioned either vertically or horizontally based on your desk size or personal preferences. There is a removable stand for each speaker that makes it very easy to switch orientations.

The system supports Bluetooth, 3.5mm wired, and USB connections. Everything is controlled through the wireless dial. The dial looks neat and functions just fine, but you'll probably want to download the full user guide from Logitech's website so you can learn all of it's functions and what the each light color means (white = USB; purple = 3.5mm; blue = Bluetooth). The only way to switch between these three connections is via the buttons on the bottom of the dial. I really wish there was an iOS app or Windows application that would make this easier.

Rotating the dial adjusts volume. To adjust the bass level, press and hold the dial for 2 seconds until you hear a tone, and then rotate the dial to adjust bass. Unfortunately, there no way to tell how many levels of adjustment there are (for either volume or bass). Additionally, the dial does not adjust the volume directly on your computer, so you have two volume levels to consider: whatever your computer is set to, and the volume level of the Logitech speakers set by the wireless dial.

You can also control audio tracks using the dial, but only when connected via USB or Bluetooth. One click = play/pause; two clicks = skip forward; 3 clicks = rewind. There is so much going on with the dial that I had to print out the user manual from Logitech's website to keep on my desk. I'm sure I will memorize all of it eventually.

    === SOUND QUALITY ===

Simply put, I don't think you'll find better sounding computer speakers in this price range. The down-firing subwoofer adds some much-needed oomph compared to a cheaper two-speaker system. And luckily, the subwoofer is relatively small and should fit in almost any setup. With the bass turned up about two thirds of the way, the lows on this system rival those of an entry-level TV sound bar.

As someone who has been working from home for the past several months, I always play music from iTunes while working at my computer. And the Z407 truly fills my apartment with rich, full-bodied sound. It won't rival premium, multi-channel home theater systems, but for a 2.1 computer speaker system, I'm really blown away by the audio quality. Vocals and mids are crisp and not drowned out by the subwoofer. The bass is just punchy enough so as to not completely annoy my neighbors.

    === OVERALL ===

If you're looking for computer speakers that are a step above the average $20 or $30 pair, then the Z407 is an excellent option. It can play audio from virtually any source over 3.5mm, USB, and Bluetooth. It is stylish, compact, and offers incredible audio quality for the price. The wireless dial has a bit of a learning curve, and I wish there were some sort of app to control the system -- but other than that, there's very little to complain about. Highly recommended!

Great Audio Experience without big price!

Logitech has always delivered on quality components for PC users, whether for casual everyday use, work use, and even for gamers. They once again deliver a quality sounding 2.1 audio system geared for everyday use, which can double as a Bluetooth connected speaker for those devices capable of connecting wirelessly.

Having owned a previous budget minded Logitech 2.1 LS21, with a fair audio experience, I was eager to try this upgraded speaker system, which is currently priced under $100 at Best Buy. In the box you’ll find a Subwoofer with an attached power cable, two satellite stereo speakers with attached RCA style connectors, a wireless controller, some AAA batteries, a 3.5mm audio cable, two speaker stands, and a warranty card. This doesn’t come with a separate quick setup guide like many devices but is found on an inside flap of the box for easy reference.

Setup was fairly quick and easy, with the speaker cables color coded (dark blue for right), with a 3.5mm jack on the back of the subwoofer for those that need to use the cable, and a microUSB port if you’d like to connect using USB. It should be noted that the device doesn’t come with a compatible USB cable in the box, so you’ll need to acquire this cable on your own or use one you may have for other devices. The wireless controller has a door on the bottom, with an arrow pointing toward the direction of removal, for use with the included batteries. Some slight pressure is required but is no different than replacing any other remote batteries.

The included speaker stands fit into small slots located on the back of the speaker and can be used both horizontally and vertically. You’ll find slots for both orientations on the back and is as easy as sliding into place. The bottom of the stands has some great rubber like feet to keep them from vibrating on your desk, and fit snuggly enough to ensure they don’t move. I opted to place them horizontally, which is a great option, since my monitors sit low and easily accommodate the speakers sitting underneath, at about 4 inches tall horizontally. If you’re wanting to have them in the vertical orientation, the height with the stand) is approximately 8 inches.

Once you’ve installed the batteries into the controller, you’ll find the speaker already paired, and a blue light comes on (at least in my case) to signify it in Bluetooth mode. A quick press and hold of the Bluetooth button on the bottom, and you’re ready to pair with a nice tone played over the speakers. Using these with my Mac Pro (Desktop), the Bluetooth menu found them quickly, and were as easy as hitting “Pair”. The experience was about the same with my iPhone, with it pairing quickly and being ready to use. The great thing about using Bluetooth pairing, is that it will control the volume of the device, without needing to adjust any volume settings on your device. If you opt to use the 3.5mm jack for audio, you may need to adjust the volume down from max to ensure there is no distortion played on the speakers. While this is ultimately dependent on your listening preference, I found the Bluetooth experience to be easier and provide better audio quality. USB connection also provides a similar listening experience, if you opt to use the USB port, which offers plug and play operation on both Mac and PC. Simply press the line in button until the LED turns white, and you’re ready for listening. With the controller being wireless, you can easily move it to a good spot on your desk, or even take it across the room if you have the speakers set up on a shelf.

With the speaker's setup, and my Mac Pro paired, I quickly launched iTunes to test music playback. Let may say, that going from another budget audio to the Z407 saw a huge upgrade to my listening experience. The speakers did a great job producing the highs and mids, while the subwoofer provided just enough bass to fill my home office. Turning up the volume, using the turn dial of the wireless controller, was effortless and easily controlled the volume of my Mac without any lag. The turning dial just spins, without fear of it hitting a stop point. So, if you decide to use the Mac/PC volume slider it won’t change the behavior of the dial. If you decide to use the line in 3.5mm jack, simply turn the wireless controller over, and hit the line in button. You’ll notice the LED on the controller change to purple for a few seconds and any time you change the volume.

However, if you’d like to adjust the Bass response, it’s as easy as hitting a long press of the center of the controller and a tone is played to confirm you’re in Bass Mode. Turn the dial to adjust the bass higher, or lower, to your preference and you’ll notice the change almost immediately. At max bass setting, you’ll find a nice deep bass with no distortion; being a big upgrade from my older Logitech 2.1. To exit Bass mode, just hold down on the center, and a confirmation tone will play again. For play/pause function you can simply push down once; this also mutes the speakers. If you want to skip forward just push twice and skipping back with three presses. It should be noted that you can’t really rewind (other than restart a track) or fast forward/seek with the button presses. So, if you need to rewind or fast forward to a specific spot, you’ll need to do this in the app you’re using for listening.

Overall, for the price this is a wonderful upgrade from other sub $100 speaker systems. If you have an older Logitech speaker system, this will likely be a nice upgrade in audio quality. The orientation of the speakers provides a great option for those who don’t have wall mounted monitors, or can’t have tall speakers placed, while allowing you to stow them under those on a monitor stand. I can’t sing the praises enough for the immersive sound, the look and feel of the speakers, and the wireless controller gives you better control and placement for your use. Whether your using this for work, music from you iPhone, or even gaming on your PC or console, you can't go wrong with this set!

All the essentials and then some, but not perfect

For a set of desktop speakers to be truly great, they have be compact enough to fit on a desk and sound great. It may sound simple, but achieving both of those together requires a delicate balancing act and there aren't many speaker sets that can do it. This Logitech Z407 set delivers good (not great) sound in a versatile package that includes multiple connectivity options and a Bluetooth wireless remote control. The speakers fit nicely on a desk, with a subwoofer that doesn't take up too much real estate, either. Are they great? No. Are they a great deal at $80? Unquestionably.

At this price, I can recommend them to anyone looking for good sound and great versatility.

    ~~Hardware and Setup~~

The Logitech Z407 comes packaged in a handsome, compact cardboard box that's small enough to fit under your arm as you carry it out of the store. The inner flap of the box provides a set of pictorial instructions that are enough to help you get started, and the components are packed smartly within. There are two satellite speakers with long cords that end in coax audio plugs, a subwoofer unit with a built-in power cord, a 1/8"-to-1/8" audio cable about 6 feet long, the Bluetooth control puck, and a set of AAA batteries. I had the whole thing out of the box and set up on the desk in about 5 minutes.

Following the pictorial directions, I inserted the batteries into the bottom of the control puck, connected the coax plugs from the right and left speakers and plugged the subwoofer in. Then I pressed the Bluetooth button on the bottom of the puck for a couple seconds, which allowed my PC to find and pair to it. That's it! I was able to play music through the speakers within about 7 minutes of opening the box.

The first thing I noticed about the speakers were the satellites feel really cheap in hand. Each one is basically an hollow plastic pill-shaped shell with a driver at one end. It's nice that they're able to be oriented sideways or upright, because it provides some versatility. I chose a horizontal orientation to have one speaker positioned under my second monitor. In this position, the satellite speakers are about 8" wide, 4" tall and 3" deep.

The puck also feels fairly cheap, even with the batteries inside providing a little extra weight. It has a nice feel when using the volume and tap controls, but it's definitely not built to withstand a lot of abuse. I hope my kids don't get ahold of it.

Like I said above, I had music pumping through these speakers within 7 minutes of opening the box. Setup is pretty intuitive and the pictorial instructions are mostly good enough to fill in the blanks. The control puck is a really nice feature to have in a speaker system at the price. I love being able to control volume and previous/next track without going into any software menus or switching windows/tabs. I also love that the whole setup is virtually wireless on the desktop, as the speaker cables can be attached "behind the scenes" so to speak. I like the o

The one thing that I had to take a few seconds to figure out was subwoofer volume control. Pressing the puck down for two seconds switches it from master volume control to subwoofer volume control, and pressing it again lock in the sub volume and returns the control to master volume, but that took me a minute to figure out. Add to this the fact that the sub is turned way down by default, and I spent part of that minute with anemic bass wondering if I got a dud. After figuring it out, I was able to set the subwoofer where I wanted it and all was well.

I also tested connecting the speakers to my computer using the 1/8" audio cable and micro USB. Every method of connection works fine, and switching between them is relatively simple (buttons on the bottom of the puck). Most people will just pick one connection type and stick with it. I ended up choosing wired through the headphone jack on my laptop, because it gave the absolute best sound.

Here's where the rubber meets the road. If your speakers don't sound good, they aren't good, no matter how many other functions/options they offer. The good news here is these are good-sounding desktop speakers. Not great, but again, for $80, these are perfectly serviceable, especially when connected to an analog output.

Getting the speakers set up through Bluetooth was so easy that before I knew it' I'd spent a good deal of time listening to music, and finding myself wondering if these weren't actually very good-sounding at all. I should add that as Bluetooth audio goes, these are perfectly fine, and once your ears attune to the sound, it probably won't sound bad to you at all. But I found myself missing some of the headroom and stereo separation that comes with hi-fi audio. Over a Bluetooth connection, my go-to test tracks felt boxed-in and chopped off at the knees. I see these connect with Bluetooth 5.0, but I'm willing to bet they're not using one of the better audio standards like AptX HD or LC3.

Fortunately, trying other connections really opened up the sound. Over my laptop's audio-out/headphone jack, clarity and separation was greatly improved. Not so much that you'd mistake these plastic boxes for true hi-fi speakers, but markedly. Especially with electronic music, these speakers really shine. Tracks from Bonobo's Black Sands sparkled and shone with the extra headroom, and the bass was nice and tight in the mix. The plastic revealed itself a bit on "Come Together" and "Something" from the Beatles' Abbey Road, as Paul McCartney's bass sputtered a bit inside of the cheap speaker shells.

Somehow, on the micro USB input, the headroom remained but the mix sounded tight and compressed compared to the analog output. I'm guessing there is some extra signal processing in place for the USB output, and the differences are small but noticeable. I'd prefer to use the USB output because I can put the plug in a hub I already use and keep it away from my hands, but suppose I'll have to make do with the analog output to get the best sounding output. In this case, I would have preferred an audio cable with an angled end so I could run the cord along the outside of my laptop.

    ~~Final word~~

Again, as an $80 consumer-level set of desktop speakers, these are great, and leaps and bounds ahead of what $80 could buy just a few years ago. Be ready to deal with the relatively fragile plastic feel of the speakers and the puck, and be ready to experiment with inputs and outputs to get the right sound for your ears, or just accept that Bluetooth is easy and sounds okay and go with what's simplest.

Great design and sound to match

I am always listening to music, so when opportunities to review headphones, earbuds and speakers come around - I jump right in.

    Wireless volume control

    Great sound

    Easily tuned subwoofer levels

Dial bottom grip affected by dusty and can then slip around

Loud mode change (volume vs sub) chime

    Inconsistent browser interaction

While opening the box for these Logitech Z704 speakers for setup, the wireless volume dial was right up top. While unpacking, it’s noticeable that all three pieces of the setup were packaged well. The speakers require their own wire with color-coded RCA plug to the subwoofer. The length of the wire is enough that I can use them without issue on my motorized stand-up desk in stand-up mode without putting strain on the cables.

The speakers are a bit bigger than I had anticipated from seeing images. When on their side, they are 8 inches (20 cm) wide by just shy of 4 inches (10 cm) high and 3 inches (7.6 mm) deep at the biggest dimensions.. They ALMOST fit under my home made monitor stand as the front is too tall and therefore can’t go completely under (see pic).

Pairing was quite simple given the button on the bottom of the dial. I paired it very quickly with both an Alienware Aurora R9 running Windows 10 and Google Pixel Slate running ChromeOS. Bluetooth selection from the device will steal it from the active one once paired, as expected and a chime indicates that there was some sort of pairing accomplished.

This set also supports 3.5mm audio sources and those that connect via USB when hooked up to the subwoofer, should you not want to (or are not able to) use Bluetooth. Switching between the modes (USB/3.5/BT) is as easy as pushing a button under the dial right next to the Bluetooth pairing button.

The wireless volume dial is a great idea and uses AAA batteries. It has a decent rubberized grip on the bottom, but make sure you dust your placement area first, the dial will slide around if it’s dusty.

During all my initial use after setup, the subwoofer was emitting a static sound & popping. I reached out to Logitech with a video of the issue and it was replaced very quickly. The rest of the review is based on the replacement speaker set.

I found the volume dial to be very responsive when in use. When your computer or other device goes to sleep, so does the dial. At that point, you have to tap and wait a second or two for it to wake up, so you can adjust the volume again. For example, I was listening for a while and got a call and I found that rotating the dial to lower the volume, didn’t do anything. Pressing down on the dial and waiting a few seconds gave me control back; I’d almost rather the action of rotating the dial be enough to wake it from a sleep / power save state.

Adjusting the bass by holding down the dial is good and saves me from going under the desk for a manual adjustment on other vendors, however the chime to let you know you’re in subwoofer adjustment mode (vs volume mode) is LOUD! A chime more in line with the current volume would be better, but at least you know you’re adjusting the bass for that moment.

Control of pause/skip/rewind does NOT work on Windows Chrome or the YouTube Music (YTM) App, but it does with Edge. Weird. Controlling the audio / music stream in ChromeOS with YTM in either Chrome or the App, works as expected. It’s tough to go to Chrome on Windows from ChromeOS and lose pause / skip capabilities for a browser you use primarily; I don’t like using Edge. On a side note, a nice minor change to the dial, would be a slight indentation for your finger, if you wanted to spin the top to adjust the volume like you were using a Google Home speaker, vs spinning it at the middle.

I’m happy with Sound, the bass and overall appearance of the Logitech Z704 speakers. I listen to most genres of music, but am more regularly a Cali Reggae and Alternative Rock listener. From guitar to keyboards and brass, these speakers are nice and pack a punch when pressed to do so.

If you need a nice 2.1 computer speaker set and don’t mind that the speakers need to be hard-wired to the subwoofer, I’d say pick these up. If you have a Tenkeyless keyboard (like me!) and it doesn’t have volume control, the wireless dial is a time and annoyance saver.

Or, if you have anything that supports a 3.5mm plug for output and no Bluetooth (old iPod, Echo Dot, etc.), this will bring life back to the old device and/or add superior audio value wherever it’s used.

Overall, it’s a nice setup and if the design works for you, I have no doubt that the sound will be delivered.

Brought Netflix Nature documentary to LIFE !!

It’s been quite some time since I’ve purchased a dedicated computer sound system, and have grown accustomed to using bluetooth earbuds, or built-in computer monitor speakers, that _seemed_ adequate enough.

Well, after launching a David Attenborough Nature video on YouTube and comparing the difference, I now see what I’ve been missing. Affordable computer audio got good real fast.

His voice had the deep baritone and breathiness that brought the Serengeti to life. My wife was working in her office a room away and perked right up and came in to comment how clear and good the computer sounded.

I have to admit though that I felt stupid setting the system up, no instructions but none needed right, just plug and play audio. What I did not realize is that the control puck is required (operates on supplied AA batteries) and the pairing mode switch below the unit selects between modes. Once I uncovered this “a-ha” moment I was hooked.

+ Innovative control puck is brilliant

+ super simple setup, good wire lengths

+ sound quality for cheap system is surprisingly good

+ deeper bass than you’d think by looking at the sub size

+ incredibly affordable price well above entry-level quality

-plastic speakers and control puck feel cheaply made

-I had to look in the manual to operate and insert puck batteries

-lack of THX certification like higher-end model

-full wireless would make this truly next-gen

I thought I was fine using LG UltraWide 38” monitor built-in speakers (no slouch) for audio. I’ve had dedicated systems in the past but they were embarrassingly low-quality, tinny sound, cumbersome wires, and unsightly.

While not perfect (can we lose all the wires?) the Logitech Z407 resolves any previous complaints, and earns a solid BUY recommendation.

    Amazing sound for the price

Let me just start off with this if you’re looking for a speaker set up and don’t need something that is portable to carry around I strongly suggest you should consider the Logitech Z407. With that being said let me tell you why.

The sound coming out of this 2.1 system is amazing. For my mid-size apartment, it was able to fill my living room with a rich clear sound with the down-firing subwoofer providing some clean hitting bass. My expectations when I saw how small it was were low. Don’t let the size fool Logitech has managed to pack in some serious punch on a small package that won’t take much space. If I did a blindfold sound test without knowing what it was I would say it sounds like something that would cost an upward of $200 and up. Just an FYI I have hardwood floors so in a carpeted environment, your mileage might vary. Since it has multiple input options you can use it as a computer speaker, 2.1 stereo system to upgrade your Tv/Game Console audio, or just stream some music from your mobile device via Bluetooth or 3.5mm aux cable. Logitech has created a very versatile audio setup that instantly upgrades the sound from built-in stock speakers. Another great feature is the control that looks like a hockey puck. The control unit allows you to pair your devices via Bluetooth, switch from Bluetooth to a wired connection, and control music playback. It does require x2 AAA batteries that Logitech does provide in the box.

Here’s a rundown of the specs:

Total Watts: RMS 40w Peak 80w

    Satellites Speakers: 10w each

    Subwoofer: 20w

    3.5mm input

    Micro-USB input

    Bluetooth 5.0

    Control Puck:

Power, volume, bass control, mute, unmute, track forward, rewind, Bluetooth pairing, source switch buttons .etc, on wireless control.

I was highly impressed with what Logitech was able to accomplish on both ends price and quality. The sound that it reproduces rivals speakers that can cost twice as much. I would even consider the Logitech Z407 over some of the big Bluetooth speakers unless portability is a must for you.

    decent speakers

The Logitech 2.1 Bluetooth speakers is a great entry point for anyone looking to get some decent sound quality at a fair price. There are some areas it does fall short so hopefully this review will help with your buying decisions.

Let's talk about the basics here real quick. Out of the box your going to get your two speakers, main bass box, all the necessary wires and a wireless hub to control sound and playback. Let me start by saying this is a Bluetooth set up and not a wireless set up. The only thing that is wireless is the sound hub which runs off of 2 AAA batteries. Set up is very easy and can be done either via Bluetooth or through the provided 3.5 mm cable. I tested this against my ps4, android phone, and PC. Both set ups worked really good through Bluetooth except my pc. While trying to run it through the Bluetooth audio was badly distorted and would not come through crystal clear. I can't really blame Logitech for this as i don't truly know where the problem lies. What i ended up having to do was run the speakers to my PC through the 3.5 mm cable and everything worked just fine. One thing i was disappointed to see was the lack of a app to allow further customization of sound control and quality, mainly speaking of the bass speaker. The Bass speaker looks nice and with a downward facing subwoofer i was really hoping this thing would shake the ground when the bass hit. I was wrong however. Sound quality on this set up seems to focus more on clarity and vocals then it does on any other area. While playing games like COD, bass was decent around explosions and could be felt. Now don't get me wrong bass can be adjusted through the wireless hub however even at full setting it just seems like the unit is trying to hard to push it through. That's not to say the sound quality is horrible because its not. Your going to pick up on vocals and your highs very well and with very good quality, however compared to some of my other speakers that i have that are very identical to this set up, the Logitech falls short of keeping up. Through the wireless audio hub you can do some basic task like raise the volume, pause the track and skip/rewind the next track and well that's pretty much it.

Overall guys im keeping this review short because, well basically this unit is as average as it gets. There's not a whole lot of features, and there is no use of a app to control features or fine tune your audio device Sound and voice quality is very clear with decent bass however that's about where it ends. I own a lot of Logitech products and for me this would be a hard pass for two reasons. One, i like full control of my audio sounds via a provided equalizer, and two certain sound qualities are lacking. Over all this is a great set up if you are on a budget or looking for some discreet speakers. For most people this is going to be enough however im very picky when it comes to my audio and at the end of the day for me, this a basic set up at best and nothing else.

    These absolutely SLAP

Bruh, I don’t review things. I seen bestbuy in my emails ask me for this review so I was like BET. These speakers are wonderful. I can jam to my music on my phone via Bluetooth while charging my phone! Oh, and with a press of a button I can instantly switch the sound over to my desktop computer and hear the sounds of my enemies faulted before me. It’s quite good. No bull, I love em.

Great speakers for a startup gaming setup!

They sound real decent for the price and the color switching makes my setup look real nice. When I play games they sound real good and bass is excellent. I definitely recommend this.

Just what I expected for the price.

I guess if you get a defective product you can gripe about it. Otherwise, this is a $50 speaker set, they work fine. Yes, the Bluetooth disconnects when my computer goes to sleep. It also reconnects automatically when my computer wakes. The lights are kind of fun, and I like that you can turn the lights off. If these speakers last half as long as the HP speakers they replaced (10 yrs), I'll be a happy camper. They sound fine while I'm listening to music working at my desk. If you want concert quality, buy the Bose for triple the price.

Works well. Using at work. Pretty good sound level. But I would recommend the next higher model output a little on the low side. Great for work though

    Nice Speakers!

Love the speakers with lights...They match my computer and keyboard!

The only issue I have is changing from one color to another isn't that easy and my red stopped working altogether within a couple days after purchasing.

Other than that they are very nice for movies and music videos...

Insignia computer lighted speaker (3- piece ) set

Good but not as expected. I was hoping they would be more in line with another set of insignia speakers bought prior from best buy. The blue lights circling the speaker cones with the black-colored speakers are awesome.
