My college aged son downloaded this game to play with some of his friends online, now my daughter and myself also play this as a family and enjoy the competition. I do not recommend this game for children, as there are a lot of questions that they would not be able to answer. This is definitely a game for the high school age and older.

Don’t starve is a survival game that will always throw something new at you; no matter how many hours you’ve already put into the game. If you wanna make it out alive, you constantly have to stay on your toes and prepare for the worst case scenario. This game throws you in with only one instruction, go find food. From their, it is up to you to explore and find different means to stay alive. Each time you die, you’ll pick up on something new that can potentially keep you in the game just a tad bit long. Definitely requires some patiences but it is still a fun addition to the switch collection.

Fun survival game, would rather it have been multiplayer as well. But my mistake for not reading that part of it.

This game is amazing, and better than I was expecting it to be. The writing is hilarious and the gameplay is great. It’s constantly showing you new ways to move throughout the levels, and the skill tree keeps you wanting to make more progress. There’s a twist about halfway through the game as well that wasn’t expected.

What a cool game and it switches up which is a nice surprise.

The Messenger is a loving tribute to action games from the 8 and 16 bit eras, but with plenty of its own character. It's fun to play, with great music, some very funny moments, and respects your time. If you enjoyed Shovel Knight, this is a little in that vein: where that referenced Mega Man and DuckTales, this is obviously taken from Ninja Gaiden along with a little bit of things ranging from Sonic to Metroid. It controls well and doesn't ever feel too frustrating despite the level of challenge you can find in it.

A great retro style game with tons of secrets and fun mechanics. I bought this for a short flight, but just couldn't put it down after.

Cooking has always been one of my life long dreams and passions. Playing this game has taught me how to make onion and tomato soup as well as an excellent burger.

I didn't want to buy Steve. I've never played Minecraft, and I don't get it. But I love smash bros so much. I got some free points to bestbuy, so I bought this because I couldn't find anything else in this price range. I'm SO GLAD I did! Steve is HILARIOUS. He's square. He eats...something. I think it's the sole of a leather shoe. He digs. He rides in a little shopping cart like Johnny Knoxville, and you can trap other people in the cart. When he does a final smash, he actually taunts FOR you, since that's been disabled in Elite Smash. 10/10, would buy again. Still not playing minecraft though. It's just not for me. ...Or maybe it is?

I don't get Sephiroth. He's a bad guy. His music is creepy. His face is creepy. His sword is comically...long. No innuendo there. His bangs are taller than the empire state building and greasy to boot. His level seems cool. He comes with 8 different palettes, but one seems to have lost his shirt. I'm not sure if the developers forgot to code in the "put on shirt" part, but it's not in my copy of this DLC.

Must have for the smash brothers series. Step ya game up.

It's great to see arms get some representation seeing as how many nintendo gamers don't know much about this series. Min min loves noodles and runs a noodle shop in the actual arms game. Other than that she is pretty good and I received the code from bestbuy with no problems.

Not as high-tier of a character as I expected though, but at least we got more Final Fantasy representation in Smash Bros.

Great addition to Super Smash Bros. Fun arena and gameplay. Smash packs keep getting better.

I bought this because it was practically free after the sale and a gift card. I’ve gotten more hours of enjoyment out of it than most of the other games I own. I like it so much, that I might even buy the physical copy sometime, and I almost never do that.

Good lil farm simulator to play in bed on switch I have two switchs and two copies both digital one per switch and we play via local coop without internet and my son enjoys the rpg gameplay. It’s fun I’d recommend checking it out if your okay with pixel graphics.

Truely creative strategy game. I can pick it up and put it down with ease, thanks to it being turn based. And the controls and concepts are simple enough that I never have issues remembering how to play or what I’m doing.

I got this at a fantastic price when it was on sale and it comes with a little booklet and everything. Good game but I'm giving the 5 stars based on the price and the packaging. Very cute.

Fun game.but a huge heads up it does not hold your hand it just shows you a short tutorial (which definitely gives enough info to get through the game) however as soon as the tutorial is over it throws you into the fire. If you enjoy challenging games (as I do) its 100 percent worth it. If you dont like a challenge dont buy.

It is a dungeon crawl game. You go from room to room defeating enemies to advance to the next room. It gets really challenging and you will fail ALOT, when you die you have to start all over at the first room and you lose all your progress. You also get some awesome stickers, a papercraft of one of the characters, and a code to download the soundtrack.

Really fun game, but make sure you have some controllers that aren't drifting or you'll have a bad time.

Highly addictive, I was hooked from the graphics and music and gameplay The difficulty is high but in a good way. This is a very skill based game with each run after death being different. Level layout and item placement are procedurally generated.

This is one of the best games I've ever played. It has a dark souls vibe where you begin with nothing and it's very hard, but as long as you progress only a little each time, you will get tokens which help you level up your hub world, making future runs a little more easy.

When the devs Dodge Roll announced a port of their indie game to the switch, I was super excited. I great dungeon crawler with tons of weapons to discover. With all the updates out now, more monsters and challenging boss fights. If you're up to it, you can play with a friend, that's right, co-op baby!!

Enter the Gungeon for the Nintendo switch is such a good game. The fact that enemies are randomly generated keeps the game interesting for hours.

This is an odd but fun puzzle with frantic elements.

Captures the feel Iga's older Castlevania platforming adventures with a great retro soundtrack. One casual playthrough isn't too long, but additional difficulties up the challenge and replay value. Plus, there are many secrets in the walls! Four characters to play and switch between, each with their own ability, allow you to mix (and combine) powers. It's a premium price to pay for this physical release of a $10 download, but if you are a fan and backer of the new Bloodstained game (or Castlevania fan), it is a must have for the collection. Besides the Nintendo Switch cartridge, you get a case and little character manual with it. I wish the manual would have included control instructions, like game manuals back in the day, but it is really just a character introduction manual with artwork. Fairly light manual, at with only five spreads. This is created with the diehard fan in mind, so, being a diehard fan, my review is skewed to 5. But then, if you aren't a fan, why would you be reading all of this? I included images for clarity on what is included. A great intro to the new Bloodstained series!

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon takes you back in time to the NES days, to the days of Castlevania 1 & 3.

A platformer that plays very much like Castlevania, with a few new more modern twists. This game is basically a reimagining of Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse... where you can play up to 4 characters. A Swordsman, an Alchemist/Mage, Long range & high jumping woman with a whip & a Vampire/Dark Magic user type of character with the ability to fly long stretches... all characters with different attack patterns, sub weapons, strengths & weaknesses.

Game takes you through 8 levels, with diverting paths filled with peril or just plain shortcuts. Each playthru can feel like a fresh experience!

Game features multiple endings, 3 modes & a Boss Rush mode that is unlockable. Game is all about experimenting and pattern recognition like the old NES days... and the game provides quite the challenge for those that decide to tackle the Veteran mode difficulty playstyle and for those that want to have an easier time, the game provides with a 'Casual' mode difficulty.

Getting a physical copy of this game with as much replayability it had, was the definitely worth the extra $20 in its price tag, quite the collector's item from Limited Run Games' partnership with Best Buy.

5/5 game with countless of hours to sink in for all the different playthroughs and endings to acquire & see.

This game is the prequel of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and is guaranteed to hit that retro game play feeling you need in your life. This game is almost a remake of the Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse from the old NES. The 8 bit look, the music and the story will give the nostalgia we just don't really get that much.

Its a fun game, and if you are a Castlevania fan, its a must get!

Honestly it is! Some of the best 2d action and platforming in addition to multiple characters you can use and has a whole second story arch that gives you twice the playtime as opposed to the follow up bloodstained that came out around the same time. It uses the same characters and continues from the plot of this game.

We got this game digital by mistake, that's why i didn't give it a full 5 stars. We never bought any digital games and it was a true pain to figure it out and customer service wasn't the most helpful, the game was purchased for his bday, but the code expires pretty quickly and with the customer service we received, there were few options for us. But in the end it all worked out and he loves it now. So as long as you are ready to download right away, or know what to do if you don't, then your good to go!

One of the few games with a limited release gunvolt and gunvolt 2 are great to have any collections just as equal to code princess EX for the Nintendo switch these are three of around me B15 titles that had a limited release in physical form so if you picked up one it's a metroidvania Style game with great play and a good long adventure both games have around to different campaign modes and you can't be disappointed with either

Gunvolt Chronicled is for everyone that likes to play a fast pace action/adventure game. The gameplay will remind you of old school games like Megaman.

This is the Ghostbusters game the fans wanted for years. It's the closest thing many of us will ever get to being a real Ghostbuster. Originally there was supposed to add multiplayer but even as a solo game its still fun.

If you enjoy the build your own world type of adventure games, this game is for you. Lots of fun aspects to this game that you can get some good world building vibes from. Pixel lovers, this one is definitely for you too as sports some solid pixel designs/art.

Amazing and addicting game. You forage materials on little islands and work your way up in upgrading all your tools. I only wish there were more monster varieties and bosses to tackle. Remember not to hurt the giant beets!

A mix between many farming games that takes something from each one and packages it up. Many new islands to unlock and explore great island layouts.

Love the old school graphics, and how the heck can a GOLF RPG be so good??? It really is a great game, and you don't even have to be a fan of the PGA to get into this game. If you collect for Switch then this is a cheap title, and well worth it. A great game to play when you're burnt out on all the heavy hitters the Switch has to offer, and cheap enough to give it a shot.

I have this game and love it. My friend was on the fence about it so I grabbed it for him as a birthday present... I want more people to play this game. It’s an RPG with golf. You can play it as a golf after you finish the story. It has funny moments and kept me entertained. Man, this is a such a good game!

I haven't had a chance to play as much as I would like, but the time I did put in shows that this is another gem that provides a unique experience on nintendo switch. Combining golf and rpg elements is a combination that I didn't think would work, but it seems any amount of work put into an idea can make it a hit.

This isn’t your normal golf game. It’s about a golfer trying to get to live his dreams of being a pro golfer. It’s also nice that limited run games and Best Buy teaming up with independent developers to do a physical version of the game

AC 4 black flag was an amazing game the is influence from pirates of the caribbean, havana is amazing, I would prefer if Ubisoft gets odyssey on the switch, but for now it's best AC on the go.

I wanted to give it 5 stars because I’m having waaaaay too much fun pirating on-the-go. But annoyingly the controls are a little clunky at times but this could just be a technical issue on switch. Either way, if you’re like me and enjoy more serious titles on the Switch. It’s a must!.

I got into the Assassin's Creed games just recently when I was gifted Syndicate. I had a lot of fun playing that one, so I have been picking up the other games in the series.

I've only played Black Flag so far, but it has a lot of the same elements I liked from Syndicate, with the addition of the ship battles, which so far is a lot of fun and requires a little strategy.

The thing that I like most about these games, is the recreation part of the world it is set in as it was that era. These are real places on Earth and not some fantasy creation. Black Flag is set in the Caribbean and it is just cool to me how much detail is included. I'm looking forward to getting into Rogue as well, though I can't really review that one.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this port vs the PS4 version...Ubisoft did a good job carefully considering the compromises to get Black Flag running well on the Switch. Granted this is a first-gen PS4 game (ported from PS3/360) vs a late-game Switch title, so it really shouldn't be too much of a surprise.

There is some detail pop-in at short draw distances, and the PS4 version runs at a noticeably higher frame rate (on the Pro), they're really only noticeable if you compare them side-by-side. The character models and textures look about the same, and all the spoken dialogue and shanties are present as well.

My only disappointment is that Rogue isn't included on the Switch cart and it has to be downloaded...I really wish this practice would stop.

I’m not a huge Assassin’s Creed fan but of the entries I’ve played these two are easily some of the best. Good stories and worlds to explore. They look and run great on the Switch if you’re cool with 30fps. Easy recommendation, just keep note it goes on sale for $20 pretty regularly!

The mechanics of this game are easier than other "hard core" games that I have tried. I am not a seasoned gamer and have never played an Assassins Creed game before (I mainly like to play standard nintendo games like Smash and Animal Crossing). This was pretty easy to pick up (even though I am not particularly good at it) and the story is interesting. Definitely worth giving it a try, especially on sale.

It is a first person perspective game, so it can cause motion sickness if you play it for too long and aren't used to playing video games a lot.

Also, Black Flag is on the physical copy, but Rouge has to be downloaded (no additional fee, but you should make sure you have the storage space if you want to play that version).

This is a great addition to the franchise. I love the new addition and capability of sailing a ship and commanding a fleet. The extra side missions to that aspect are fun and can be quite challenging. I highly recommend this addition to the franchise!

Great games on a portable system! Having kids and other family members, the TVs are usually in use. The games are good ports and it provides hours of fun on the go. Can’t beat the price either!

Even though it isnt a "starfox" game its the best one to ever come out. Hundreds of hours of gameplay. Alot of fun co-op, its vertical co-op which i really appreciated i hate horizontal co-op.

If you want the game but can't afford to buy all the toys. This is the way to go. This version includes all CURRENT ships, weapons, and pilots unlocked.

Very good game. I doubt we'll be getting a StarFox game on Switch so this is a good alternative.

A classic sega rpg ported to the Switch, while not a remake there are many quality of life improvements that make the game much more enjoyable to play than its original release. A great game back in the day and an even better one today.

It’s ok. Although we Prefer the old version of pac man.

Gameplay is different from the first game however it's still fun. It's not classic Pacman where you eat a power up and then eat ghosts this time it's all about making the largest ghost train possible. Best part is the coop and there's an actual boss in it.

This game is so much fun. It is a little different from the Pac-Man from the good old days but it comes right back to you. I love how you can play with someone instead of having to wait your turn. It is just as addicting as I remember from when I was younger.

Can't believe I'm playing this game again! I had the N64 version back in '99 and it was a great game then and a great game now. Sense of speed is incredible and now the graphics are sharper with better frame rates. If you loved the game back in '99 you'll love it now.

You play as a detective who tries to solve puzzles along to story line. There are 12 cases along with multiple side puzzles and scenarios for you to solve. Some puzzles get harder later in the game. So overall it’s a nice game if you’re into logic puzzles. A drawback of the game is that you actually don’t solve the individual cases yourself. The fact that you’ve completed the puzzles for the case leads you to the final solution for each case.

I have all the Professor Layton games and I'm glad it's now on the Switch. Some puzzles are easy, but with the overall storyline, they keep the game going. Some still get me stumped. I hope Nintendo keeps this series going. It's been a really interesting progression so far!

My kids enjoyed this greatly. Worth the investment for their enjoyment. No regrets on this purchase.

Fan of the South Park show here. This is quite a nice follow-up to the Black Friday Trilogy while adding extra plot line that goes beyond the immensely humorous raunchiness of the TV series. Gameplay reminds me of the Mario + Luigi RPG series with regards to attack execution and defense. A must-have if you like the show already as it feels like a new TV story arc.

South Park: Stick of Truth for the Nintendo Switch is a great port and is loads of fun! Lots of nods to references from the seasons airing (for its time at least). Gameplay is great and the controls are easy to pick up/understand :D

This is not a game for kids. The rating is correct but for an adult it was pretty fun.

If you like South Park, you'll like South Park The Stick of Truth. Pretty easy to get into the game and explore the world of an iconic TV show with this great story.

To be honest, I could play all these games on my raspberry pi; but the fact that I can have them on my switch; and in a single card, is the main reason for me to get this collection.

There are a lot of classig megadrive/genesis games; most of them are the best games made for the console; and beside few missing titles that I would love to see on the console (like some more fighting and driving games; in lieu of the many phantasy stars ); but overall the collection is very well balanced.

The graphic is 1:1 with the original; and you can enhance it if you like, using filters; also you have the chance to save states for each game (up to 3), so you can just save the game at any time and continue again from that point; the beauty of playing old games on a modern console.

It is mostly aimed at old owner of the console; since most of the games are not really holding up to modern games; although with the explosion of retro games and metroidvania pixellated games, you can almost sell these games as new.

Get it if you do not have a raspberry pi or another console that can play emulated games; otherwise it is up to you to decide if these old games are worth 29 dollars.

With the MMO type hub, the interaction between other players Online is so fun and sometimes can be funny. The Story is pretty much the same as the first but with a twist this time. I would recommend FighterZ more as it really is a true Dragon Ball Fighting game but if you just want a casual game. Then this is it.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 in general is a fantastic follow-up to the original game. My first exposure to the game was on the XBOX ONE, I played it on PS4, and having sold both in favor of PC gaming, I was missing it sorely. (It's available on PC but the experience isn't even comparable with a keyboard and mouse. Further, using a controller on PC feels like eating pizza with a fork and knife: it works but it defeats the appeal.) Having been hyped for Pokemon Let's Go and Super Smash Bros, I purchased my Nintendo Switch. When I found DB Xenoverse on Switch for $20 at my local Best Buy, I had to try it!

Graphics-wise, I can only speak for it as a handheld as I have yet to use it on a television. Verdict? Pretty good given the fact that it's a small screen and a handheld nintendo console. Small amounts of lag is sometimes a factor as well as battery life... But connecting these to a TV does scale it to 1080p resolution which, while not as impressive as the 4k resolution that XBONE, PS4, and most modern gaming PCs boast... But most won't be able to really tell the difference anyway.

Everything else is simply a faithful reproduction in a handheld form factor.

i am totally not satisfied with the curbside thing when i came for this game. i waited at curbside for two hours, and still cant get in to get this game for my son for xmas. i had to come back the next day and got there at 11am because thats when they open and still tell me i had to wait because there was already people inside when i got there before they open. that is so ridiculous.

I am glad Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is on the Nintendo Switch. I already have the PS4 version and this game is exactly the same port from PS4, With the Switch Version, I can take to on the go is a huge bonus. The 900P with 30FPS never bothered me while playing in docked mode since the game looks really pretty and vibrant. I've personally played most parallel quests on 2 hour trips from the house and the battery never dropped below 50%. I really enjoy having true console games on a portable device, but Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 seems like a great fit on the Nintendo Switch. Frame rates is acceptable. The Switch is identical except for 1 vs 1 battles being at 60FPS. All the Drgaonball fans or Switcher owner should get this game.

I'm not really big into the MMO scene but I am big into the Dragonball fandom and have been for over 20 years now, starting with the Ocean Dub. I've played quite a bit of the DBZ games ranging from the Super Famicom to the Nintendo Gamecube and by far, this is one of the better ones. MUST HAVE!!!

This is a great game for all those in love with the Boku No Hero Academia/My Hero Academia series. It’s easy to understand and very fun to play. The only downside is if you like the English dub. This game currently has the Japanese voice actors, but it does have English subtitles. Still, I highly recommend this game!

I was reluctant to get this game due to the reviews online, but found it on special and had to get it. So far I can say it has been pretty good. Character roster feels just about right. Story is pretty much just a repeat of the show but you get to play out the fights from the show. You can also customize the characters to look how you want them to look. Just a minor detail the balance on power for each character is very noticeable (ex: some characters are overpowered compared to other weak characters).

Good game. Beginner friendly. Unique characters and plenty of them to choose from!

I am a huge fan of the My Hero Academia anime so this game was a must for me. From Bandai Namco, same as Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series, I expected to see same quality or better with different backgrounds and obviously different characters, mechanics and attacks. What I got was a very bad graphic quality game that does put you down as soon as you see the cutscenes. I do like the comic-style narrating but I expected a lot more cutscenes. Also the game is missing a ton of characters from the anime that would be amazing but instead got a fraction of the main characters. If I had known sooner, I wouldn't have bought full price but at $20-25. Hope this helps.

It's a fun game I've be playing it with my brothers, they bought the game too not a good one player though.

It is a muti player based game with story mode as the best mode to play at least at first, You get coins for racing & story mode gives you the most coins & you want lots coins so u can use the lottery machine & try to get your car upgrades.

If you love story based games, then this is an excellent choice. It is essentially a single player D&D campaign with its own rules. Of course, you can play with friends, but the best adventures from my experience come from being alone and role playing your character.

Iwanted a game that game me that D&D feel from when I was younger. I love that it saves and transfers that save to my computer version and back. Controls are well positioned. It's a great game overall.
