    Amazing! Can't be disappointed...

This is definitely an excellent tablet to draw with. I was using my iPad to do digital drawings as well as a Wacom Intuos, but this one takes the cake. Now I have the ability to draw with multiple programs as well as using it with sculpting programs such as Zbrush and blender. AS mentioned in other comments, this amazing machinery does not have any tool buttons to use. I would highly recommend getting something to use other than your basic keyboard. I ended up getting a Razer Tartarus v2. and it works amazingly well with the Wacom tablet. No, it's not portable, but that's why I have an Ipad. Also, I did see questions about it not be able to be used offline.....Well, that's simply not true, you can. This is not a separate tablet so you must use it with a PC, Laptop of those natures. Definitely a 10/10. Couldn't be happier. When my niece grows up and still likes art I might just buy her one 2.

The flow of the pen to tablet is smooth and amazing. This is a very high quality product. We have used the WACOM pen tablet for years for art in Photoshop.

    Awesome tablet with smooth performance

This tablet is a game-changer for my digital artwork. Why did I wait so long, as a designer? I like the larger size, versus a tablet device like iPad or Android tablets. Very responsive and smooth. Some apps like Adobe's Fresco work better with the optional Wacom Remote, so I got that too, since this Cintiq doesn't have touch controls (for like, rotating canvas or optional controls. Also recommend getting a artist glove, which helps you move better across the tablet screen with smudging it. You can find those at online retailers for less than $10. Wish it would have come with one, but they are inexpensive. I am still learning the apps and controls, but loving it!! Awesome for Fresco and Photoshop, plus the Clip Studio trial offered with it.

    Wacom Cintiq Tablet Pro 24"

Tablet was delivered on time and in perfect condition. I have no complaints, everything has been and came to me without issue. This is my dream tablet and I'm very happy it was treated with care on it's way to me! It's also great to game and watch movies on, but I recommend updating your graphics card to handle the large resolution if you are not used to having a screen this large.

Best for traditional style digital painting

I have been wanting one of these forever, and after reading how Wacom has a lot of manufacturing issues, I decided to play it safe and purchase my Cintiq through a licensed vendor.

I jumped to this from a surface laptop and while I missed the touch features at first, I quickly adapted to it (and there is no accidental bumping with my palm which has been nice). I'll still use the surface laptop for sketches, but I will finish them on this Cintiq. When you are hovering a foot over the screen the 4k and HDMI have a noticeable difference (which is why I picked this model over the 16 pen display). When using more traditional style brushes, the Cintiq had a much better experience than the surface laptop, which struggle to pick up pressure sensitivity with heavy data brushes.

I switched out the plastic nib for the felt nib which gave it more of a papery feel to draw on. I also selected the 24 because the 32 felt way too much. This size aligns perfectly with my 27-in IMac (see picture where the mac is on a monitor riser, lifting my Cintiq to a 45-degree angle).

I used to use a drafting desk when I was younger, and this tablet really mimics the feeling of that experience, the bevels are also nice because I can rest my hand, thumbs, remote, or pen in that space without taking up my screen.

The driver had connectivity issues when I was using only the HDMI, but I have been connecting to the display through an HP docking port and when I plugged in the USB and display port all was well.

I've also been using it with the Elgato stream deck which is so nice. (I like the dial part of the remote, but I don't use the other buttons as much because I can never remember what I programmed them to do. The stream deck, on the other hand, labels all the buttons).

This has also been working great with streamlabs OBS, screen recordings, and live stream painting (though my next upgrade is gonna be a 10GB ethernet port with my mac).

Best drawing tablet on the market!

I am a professional artist and this is by far my favorite piece of equipment in the office. I switched from my Wacom intuos pro medium to this tablet and am blown away by how it performs. I find that there's no lag at all and it feels like paper. The touch is very sensitive and it's really no comparison between this and considering an apple pencil if your a professional digital artist. The only thing I didn't consider before purchasing was that I needed a computer that could output 4k at 60hz. It looked great at 2k, but when I updated my graphics card to an RTX 2070, there was a noticeable difference in what I could see with lighter brush strokes.

    Awesome tablet for animation!

I purchased the Cintiq Pro 24 for my daughter who is an animation major. She loves the work surface, ease of use with the pen and remote control options. It's far more sophisticated than the older Cintiqs' her university had available and a great tool to have beyond college as she embarks on her professional career.

    Great Affordable Cintiq!

This Cintiq has made work easier to accomplish on Photoshop. It was very easy to set up, all you have to do aside from the automatic setup process is download the required driver in order for this tablet to run correctly and be recognized by your computer.

    • You have to have a computer to run this tablet, it is not like an iPad.

    • This tablet has a 72% NTSC color display, which, some artists are rather sensitive about that sort of thing but the slight color difference doesn’t bother me.

    • This tablet does not come with a stand or the express key remote, there are no express keys built onto the tablet. (Instead of spending $80 on the Cintiq 16–specific stand, I purchased a $10 laptop stand on Amazon instead. This Cintiq is thin enough to fit on any standard laptop stand! This will save you extra! (I have attached a picture of it))

All in all, a very lovely tablet! I have always stuck with Wacom, and they’ve always exceeded my expectations. This is my third Wacom tablet that I’ve owned. To me, the difference between Wacom and other drawing tablet brands is like the difference between Apple and Android. I prefer quality, and Wacom seems to hold the standard for best quality. Don’t hesitate, get this drawing tablet!

Wacom Cintique 16 Deserves Its Great Rep

I purchased my Wacom Cintique 16 pen tablet because I am a serious 'analog' artist who has decided to join the digital art world. The pen sensitivity and texture of the screen give a very natural feel to creating art which has made the transition easier--something important to me as the program (I'm using Corel Painter) is challenging enough for a digital newbie. The excellent reviews I watched were very convincing. While my efforts are still a beginner's, I'm absolutely certain I'll have satisfying digital art very soon. Also, it matters to me that the Wacom is made in Japan, a country I trust. It's a top-of-the-line component and worth every dime, if you take art seriously.

It makes me a better Artist than I actually am.

Best purchase I have ever made as an Artist. For many years I wanted a Drawing Tablet, but, ultimately, I looked at the prices, said, it probably won't track right, and, I probably would never be able to figure out how to use it. I was wrong. This Tablet is very easy to use, works beautifully, and allows me to do detail work I only dreamed of using just a mouse. Highly Recommend.

Excellent Tablet for a Lower Price

This is a great tablet. I love having my stylus where the picture is, rather than having to try and synch my movements with what is happening on the computer screen. Much better for someone who has less artistic abilities than others. I also love the pressure sensitivity. Great for my cover art.

Box came a bit scuffed but that's because Best buy only packaged ONE side of the box with air protection pack, the other side was vulnerable to damage. So far I haven't noticed any visible exterior damage I will update later if I notice anything.

Overall the Cintiq 16 is pretty good for all levels on animators and artists but at the price point (nearly $700) I can't recommend this to anyone who only does these things as a hobby.

Great product, hard to set up if you have a Mac.

Once I got this to work I really loved it, but if you are setting it up with a new Mac (my case MacBook Pro) Is google some advice on how to get it set up. There were a bunch of different permissions I had to connect and disconnect then reboot and connect again. Wacom’s customer service was helpful, but it took a day or so to get a response.

It does get a little buggy. Usually after 30-60 minutes of use, it will freeze and The pen will stop working. It’s an easy fix of unplugging and plugging back in again, bu can get annoying if it starts happening repeatedly and more frequently, which happens at times.

So a little fussy, but totally worth the drama!

    The Wacom Intuos Pro Medium

I was looking for a graphics tablet and purchased one with a screen. It hooked up to my computer but I never quite liked looking down. Someone suggested the Wacom Intuos Pro. I did research and settled on this very one. It was close to $400.00 but boy is it worth the money. The pressure sensitivity is amazing. The tablet size is perfect. The pen response is awesome. I use it for editing photos and also illustrating in Photoshop. I also use it for designing logos in Illustrator. The express keys are easy to customize. I can see why artists love Wacom products. This is worth every penny and I highly recommend the Intuos Pro Medium. Don't get the small because the screen size isn't big enough for illustrating and the large is overkill for illustrating. I'm sure the small is fine if you're a teacher and need to use it for writing out math problems but that's about it. This works beautifully! Highly recommend.

Even Better Than I Thought It Would Be.

I finally had to replace my 16 yr old Wacom tablet (along with its backup, which I fried somehow). The new Wacom Medium tablet, along with the Pro Pen that came with it, are amazing. Perfect size for my desk setup, and a real pleasure to use. I was concerned that the feel of the pen on the tablet would not be satisfactory, but it is actually excellent. I like the feel of this tablet much better. The Quick Keys are probably the best thing about this; I have programmed in my 8 most used shortcuts, and it works flawlessly. Highly recommend this tablet to anyone who does photography, graphics work or digital art.

    Best Thing Since Sliced Bread!

I bought the Intuos4 Medium two weeks after it came out. Loved it to death. When the Intuos5 came out, I wanted it, but couldn't justify buying one. When the Intuos Pro came out, I wanted it, but could justify it...until my Intuos4 got to the point of nearly unusable. I didn't need to look at reviews, I knew it'd be great.

The pressure sensitivity is four times what the Intuos4 had, which is incredible. Bluetooth is built-in, which means I can connect it to my phone and my tablet, as well as my computers...but it seems a bit slow connected that way. Still, it's a useful thing when you can't connect via USB. The touch capability is nice, but really gets in the way most of the time, so it's a very good thing that you can turn it on and off with the switch on the side. It has a power button, which kind of surprised me, though it shouldn't have...it does have a battery for use in bluetooth mode.

The one thing I'm not entirely happy about, is that the nibs seem to wear down much more quickly than the old nibs did, but they don't wear down so quickly as to be a real problem. The spare nibs are stored in the pen stand, and as long as you can remember which way to turn the top, it opens fairly easily. The stand is a much better design than the one for the Intuos4...that one always fell over at the least excuse.

If you've never used a Wacom tablet, you're in for a treat. If you've used them in the past, you won't need my review to make your decision.

Who needs a mouse outside of gaming?

I bought this tablet for drawing with ArtRage 6, but have now found myself using it as a touch pad in place of my mouse. This has had the added benefit of additional relief for my carpal tunnel symptoms. The included Pro Pen 2 is amazing, however a little big for my small hand, so I bought the slim pen for further improvement.

The tablet can actually recognize which pen you are using and allows for separate profiles for each pen.

The base for the Pro Pen 2 was almost impossible to open to get to the replacement nibs. Once my roommate got it open for the first time it has been easier since.

The software could use some minor refinement. One thing lacking is the ability to copy a device profile from one pen to another. When I got my new pen, I had to create all of my settings from scratch even though most of them were the same.

If the Pro Pen 2's base weren't so hard to open and the software a tad better, I would give this a 5.

Pro Tip: if you have multiple monitors and don't want to be stuck using half the space of this tablet, use the "display toggle" function as one of the keys and only have one monitor in use at a time in the settings so that you get as much area as possible on the Wacom. That is, unless you really want to span multiple monitors with just half the Wacom.

if you want a simple tablet u have to get this one

I got this tablet specifically to play the rhythm game OSU! and it is amazing. Great build quality that has a little more weight to it than I would've thought. It's not super heavy but it feels good in the hands. Its extremely accurate and i'm glad I didn't spend more on the next level up of tablet.

Great for artist with limited space

I bought this when I started school for art and it is perfect for a beginner that doesn’t have a lot of space to work with. It’s small and compact and can be stored easily, if need be. As I am a beginner I can’t really give a comparison, but I can say if you’re looking for one to start with, this is perfect. It’s also great for younger kids that are learning to digital art. My 11 year old uses mine and love it.

Okay but not as user friendly as a digital pen

It takes skill to use this product. You have to write on the tablet while looking at the computer screen. It takes a lot of practice. However, If you can't find a compatible digital pen for your device, then this product is the next best choice.

It's wonderful to use when touching up photos

I am a photographer and have been editing photos for years. I am also pretty hard-headed because I never wanted to jump full force into a Wacom tablet for editing because I thought it was just one more tool I would have to have with me. That was a mistake that I regret. After shooting a friend's wedding and promising them the photos super quickly I was trying to knock out thousands of photos in less than a week's time.

My fingers started hurting and I decided I would give the Intuos Pro a try. I picked one up and it's been a life-saving device for many jobs now. I can't tell you how many hours I have saved being able to use it to retouch and edit inside of lightroom and photoshop.

One thing I really love about it is that it charges by USB-C and I can use it wirelessly. Worth getting if you are on the fence. You might have a slight learning curve but power through the aggravation and you will get used to the eye-hand coordination and start flowing through your edits.

    Could use improvements, verify compatibility!

Got this to use with multiple programs. Sadly the program I use mostly is not compatible with this tablet, and while it isn't their fault, it did weigh heavily into my returning of this. The only other issue I noticed since I didn't get a lot of time using it before I returned it was the pad itself seemed a bit too oversensitive. I tend to draw or write with the side of my hand on the paper/desk, not floating in the air. This was way too sensitive in how it responded to even my hand or anything touching it, which made it very difficult to actually use without constantly undoing mistakes. Hopefully in the future this will be fixed as well as the compatibility issues.

    A Quality drawing tablet

This drawing tablet is an excellent device for creative applications. It is easy to connect via Bluetooth, comes with a driver software that allows you to assign different actions to the keys, and has very fluid pen response. It takes a while to get used to writing with a drawing tablet if you have not done so before. The construction is all metal so it feels significant and sturdy in the hand. I suggest if you plan to be mobile alot and can afford it to buy a second Wacom pen as a backup to keep with you Created by a nearly industry standard brand you cannot go wrong with the Wacom Intuos Pro.

    Overpriced, but great quality.

It's exactly the quality I'd expect from wacom. I didn't expect to use the touch much, but I have and it works great. My only problem is that I wish it'd have come with a protector. I'm very heavy handed and will easily wear away the surface like I did with my old intuos. For now I've taped some clear acetate over it and it's working.

    My daughter loves it

My 16yo had the older version of this drawing tab and when it stopped working after years of constant use it was as if the sky was falling. I had to rush to replace it so she had it by her Easter break from school. They no longer sell the version she had so I purchased this updated version.. She says its smaller all around but the drawing area is actually a inch bigger than before so they basically did away with all the extra unnecessary space and she likes it better... She has not complained at all so I say that is a win its a bit pricey but worth it for all the use she gets from it along with happiness and daily hours of enjoyment that may one day flourish into a art career.

Great buy, smoother surface than the medium one

The surface is smoother than the medium tablet. I have both and bought this one for when I am traveling and want to continue editing. At the end of the day, it turned into my daily and now I am trying to sell the medium one. I bought the texture sheet for the medium one, but ended up really just liking the smoothness of the smaller intuos more.

    Really enjoying this product

I have been wanting to buy one of these for years, and finally decided to take the plunge. I have not been disappointed! Great for taking notes, drawing, and mouse manipulation, this tablet allows me to connect more intimately with my computer.

The only issue that I have is that the mouse positioning is a bit difficult to learn, but I believe that mostly to be attributed to my small desk area. I would like to get a larger pad next time, as the small size does hurt my hands when writing. However, for the price and for the functionality I have gained, it is certainly a worthwhile purchase.

Save yourself time and pain - BUY THIS NOW!

I’m an editor (photo/video) and spend a good amount of time touching up images. This pen has saved my hand and arm. Less pressing and holding and more drawing to correct an image has saved me so much pain. Absolutely love this tablet. If you’re a graphic designer, you’ll want to upgrade to the larger model with a display, it might be pricey, but it’ll save you time in the long run.

Great blackboard substitute for distance learning

As a Chemistry professor, I need to write formulas, equations, and chem math problems, also chemical structures and lab experiment illustration. Now that I'm forced to teach on-line, I'd be lost without the Wacom-Intuos tablet. Despite its small size, it is a great tool for doing what I need to do, for the short time that I'm forced to do it. It took a bit of learning and adjusting to the pen's sensitivity, but now I feel comfortable. On my 5 yr old computer, writing was slow and some symbols and text fused together; not so on my new computer, which is very responsive. The pen has no eraser, so if you try to correct an error you must erase the whole screen. Yuk! That feature can be corrected by buying a $400+ model that's designed for a pro. Another Yuk!

It’s been a few years since I used a pen tablet, but the Intuos makes it easy to get back into it. The programmable buttons makes it easy to open apps, change brushes, swap through open apps, etc., it’s perfect. The battery on the small unit doesn’t last as long as I hoped. I’m sure the larger units and pro units have a better battery, but the fact that I can still use the tablet while it is plugged in and charging is convenient.

Good product. Worst registration process EVER

I really like this drawing tablet, but the registration process to get the free software it came with was absolutely awful.

The instructions that came with this drawing tablet are very inconsistent and misleading. The included pictogram clearly instructs you to plug the tablet in first and THEN download drivers from the website. Meanwhile the website indicates that you should download the drivers first, and then plug in the tablet. The website indicates that plugging in the tablet will activate the automated registration process.

Unfortunately, plugging in the tablet first seems to throw the registration off.

I could not get the automated registration to trigger. I tried manually registering the tablet on the website using the serial number, but the website informed me that this product MUST be registered via the automated process.

After multiple driver installations, several unplug and replugs, and two reboots; the automated registration FINALLY triggered. I'm subtracting a star from my review just because this process was so horrible.

After getting through the registration, the tablet seemed to be working; but pressure sensitivity wasn't working. After yet another reboot, this resolved itself.

I was very impressed with how customizable this drawing tablet. was. The included software allows you to change the functionality of the buttons on the pen and the buttons on the pad. Even better, you can customize the buttons for particular programs. Being able to map my keyboard shortcuts to individual buttons is a huge assist to my workflow.

The included software is . . . okay. Honestly, I was a little surprised by how simplistic it was. It certainly wasn't worth the aggravation I went through registering this device to get it. It should be noted that two of the three software offerings are unlimited use while the third is only good for two years (and you can only select two of them). I opted for the two unlimited use programs.

I used the tablet for a few days to do some light sketching and photo touch up. Learning to aim the pen tip takes some practice, but the feel is very natural. The pressure sensitivity is a little hit or miss depending on the program.

Al in all, I'm very pleased with this drawing tablet.

Highly recommend having this for your editing needs. It’s one thing to edit with your mouse or your fingers on the pad but this takes it to another level. The quality is great, not that expensive, and you can really get in on editing photos or if you’re a artist with drawling.

The tablet is easy to use and is very responsive to the pen tip. I have done several drawings with it and it's great! If I was a pro, I would spend more money for a bigger one, but this one is perfect for me. If you just like to draw as a hobby, this is just the thing.

Nice if you need tablet on the go.

This portable Wacom tablet could be a life saver if you need tablet while working on the go with your laptop. It's wireless Bluetooth connection does not require any receivers plugged into USB port, simple Bluetooth link is enough.

I did not notice any significant lags between pen movement and cursor movement so wireless connection works just fine.

Tablet surface is very smooth and pen moves very precisely, however small surface space may be a limitation or inconvenience while working. Surface is not sensitive to fingers therefore it can't be used without a pen (Intuos Pro is finger sensitive).

Comparing to the bigger Intuos Pro: limited surface area may cause your hand to be uncomfortable (slide off) while working around the right edge of the tablet. Pen feels very light, Intuos Pro pen feels much better and very well balanced.

Included Software - you can pick 2 out of these 3: Painter Essentials 6, Corel AfterShot 3, Clip Studio Paint Pro. You will need to register your tablet with Wacom in order to be able to download the software.

Overall: Nice for working on the go where size and weight matter, however I prefer Intuos Pro for stationary work at my desk.

    Works with everything!

I am a structural engineer and do a lot of hand sketches at my office. Transitioning to work at home, I needed a good alternative medium to produce sketches digitally.

This tablet did not disappoint. I can sketch in PDFs all day and produce decent quality mark ups without using hand sketches or scans.

The tablet acts as a canvas of your monitor, the tablet edges become the monitor edges and can be adjusted for multiple screens as well.

The pen tool acts as a mouse and is set to "left-click" when pressed down on the tablet. By hovering over the tablet without pressing, you can track your mouse pointer on screen without "clicking" anything.

There are two buttons on the pen that can be set to various key commands for quick use while drawing, and 5 buttons at the top of the tablet that do likewise.

For example, I set one of the pen buttons to shift so I can draw on top of my previous notations in PDF Xchange without accidentally grabbing and dragging them.

All in all, this is basically a pen version of a mouse and although it may be used with higher end digital media and graphic design software, it can also be used with anything and everything you'd prefer a digital pen to a traditional mouse. Works great for me!

Make sure you verify your computer has Bluetooth before buying, mine did not turns out so now here I am installing an Intel m.2 card and antenna to use this feature. This comes with a corded options, sobim still able to use it, but if you don't need Bluetooth you ought to invest in the cheeper model without the Bluetooth option.

PS - the pen nubs wear out so you'll need more eventually. There are extra nubs inside the pen when you purchase it, so that's nice.

The 3 free programs were a bit weird to install and I haven't used them yet, but did get them downloaded.

Not a lot of negative stuff to say here, I'm super happy with the purchase and will be even more psyched when I get Bluetooth going.

    Not good

I bought it and I returned one day later.

Is imposible to write or draw with this gadget unless you have time for learn to draw and write again.

If you want something for draw in your computer (like Apple Pencil in IPad ) don’t buy this.

Great tool for teaching math remotely!

I purchased this tablet about a month ago for remote learning. This crisis has pushed me out of my comfort zone. Setting up the tablet was quite easy. The tablet is lightweight and the pen is easy to write with. I like the fact that I have an option to use Bluetooth or USB cable to connect the tablet to my computer. I don't know if I am using to much pressure on the pen nibs, but the tablet has light scratches after a month use. I wonder if I should be using a screen protector for the tablet.

In the past month, I have used this tablet to teach remotely using Google Hangouts, One Note, and Microsoft Whiteboard. I have also used the tablet while recording YouTube videos. I am still trying to figure out how to use the tablet with Google Apps. I might start using this tablet for online tutoring.

I didn't use the 3 bonus software that was included since I am not an artist.

    Replacement for Older Wacom

I have owned two previous generations of Wacom tablets, one that had the pen and mouse, then the Intuos Pen+Touch. Both were wired via USB, so I do really like the wireless connection and the pen sensitivity on this model. I wish this model had the touch pad ability on it, but the wireless and new pen makes up for it for me. I’ve found the battery life to be more than enough for long editing sessions (a few days or more if I don’t use it constantly all day) and the recharge times to be good (I do admit that I charge overnight usually if needed). The tablet can also be used plugged in via USB while charging, so you won’t miss any pen time. As far as Bluetooth connection, I haven’t experienced any lag nor did I have any issue with the initial connection.

I use this for photo retouching rather than drawing. I ended up trading the medium for the smaller version as I found it too large for my usage as I had to move my arm to reach the edges of the tablet. Other than what I’ve listed, I have no other complaints so far.

    Get it! It’s seriously essential.

I can’t complain about anything, it’s great and offers a great program. I teach with this, do illustrations, and fill out my homework with this thing. I don’t regret the money i spent. It’s actually a lot more handy than you would think.

    Works great for writing

This thing is great! I work as a one-on-one math tutor. The day I found out I was going to have to start working remotely due to shelter in place, I drove straight to Best Buy to pick up this tablet. I've been using it to write and draw notes on a virtual whiteboard with my students. It works better than I could have hoped for! It was a little bit of an investment but I really don't know how I would have made it through the last 3 months of online tutoring without it. The medium was the perfect size for me.

    Works beautifully

Classes were abruptly transitioned to online. I purchased the tablet to use in lieu of the whiteboard I normally employ during lectures. After a couple of days of practice and adjusting the pen settings, it is difficult to imagine how I would conduct a class without it.

I recommend this device to anyone who needs to write or draw online.

    Wacom Intuos Pro

Had issues with this tablet. Had to change the ink in the pen because it was depleted. The paper clamp broke as soon as it was attached to the tablet. Other than those hiccups. The tablet feels premium. The software worked seamlessly with the ink stylus pen and changing the ink cartridge in the stylus was a lot easier than expected. It is a huuuuge tablet. I bought the large version and is seriously considering exchanging it for the medium.

The tablet has Bluetooth functionality and the Bluetooth works flawlessly on my Macbook Pro and Windows Desktop.

My rating is not based on the functionally of the tablet but more on the fact of the defective parts when I purchased it new.

Product works as advertised with Photoshop and other Adobe apps. Inkspace app is jittery with Bluetooth and works best through the USBC cord. Battery last about 9 hours. And the stylus is much more comfortable than a mouse.

Perfect entry into digital art for beginners

First of all, I'm not an artist or a graphic designer and have never had any type of drawing tablet or software before. Regardless, I was really excited about getting this and having some fun with it.

Upon unboxing, there are several references regarding how to set this tablet up. Which is nice since you don't have to search for it and it's pretty straightforward. I plugged this in to my MacBook pro, turned it on, and it instantly worked as a second monitor without having to do anything or download any software. The pen didn't work yet, but my workspace was extended into the tablet and worked just like any other external monitor. This is kind of a nice hidden feature for me, as the tablet doesn't take up much space so I could easily lug it around in my backpack with my laptop at the very least have an extra monitor for when I need to work away from my home or office.

Getting to the actual setup and downloading the software, I have no complaints at all. It went smooth and with a quick restart of my MacBook worked right away. With all the references on how to set it all up there's not much room for error. Now with using the tablet, there isn't much in the way of printed materials to help with that, but when the software downloaded, screens popped up with all sorts of information including links to short videos showing the basics of using the tablet.

As for using the pen, what I like about this tablet over using your other more popular tablets is the screen. It always felt weird trying to draw or use a pen on a smooth glossy screen. The Wacom has more of a matte finish to the screen that just makes drawing on it feel more natural. Also, the screen isn't a true touchscreen, so you need the pen to interact with it. I've seen negative comments about this, but it makes complete sense to me. Since this IS a drawing tablet, you'll want to rest part of your hand on it as you draw, if it was a true touchscreen, that would complicate things. It actually took me a while to realize I can rest my hand on the tablet after using regular touchscreens for so long. Once I got over that though, I couldn't stop doodling.

Another small but nice thing about the Wacom One, the built-in legs on the back couldn't have been made better. The tablet stays very sturdy and stable with them extended and really does put it at the perfect angle to use.

The biggest con I found is all the wires. Uses an HDMI and a USB plug to your computer, one plug into the tablet (which looks like it should be reversible like a USB-C but actually isn't because of the insulation shape), and the power plug...all in one cable assembly! This kind of limits placement and movement, as well as making a mess on your desktop. Personally I feel a separate power cord would have been better.

Overall I really like this drawing table and would recommend it for sure, especially for beginners. Which leads me to my final pro, I have a 5 year old daughter who loves to draw and color and she loves this. Even better, it means less mess with crayons, markers and paper everywhere. So if you have a young budding artist or designer, at the price point of the Wacom One, you can't go wrong with it.

Definitely Going To Have Fun With This!

First - let me disclose that I am not an artist. I've always been intrigued by the Wacom tablets, but as I am not an artist I have always been unwilling to drop thousands of dollars on something that I may not find useful.

Enter the Wacom One 13.3 Graphics Tablet. When this was announced at CES I knew I had to get one! At under $400 MSRP it's not cheap by any means, but in my short time owning it I can already start to see the possibilities.

Set-Up: This part should be easy for most of you. There is a single cable that comes with the tablet that has 4 plugs. A USB-C that plugs into the Wacom, a standard USB power plug that goes into the wall plug, a USB that goes into your computer, and an HDMI port that goes into your computer 'monitor out'. Of course I had to make it difficult on myself - I have an iMac that doesn't have an HDMI output. It does have a display port connection that supports monitor out so I dug in my bin of cables until I found an old display port cable. Of course the cable I found was a display port male to HDMI male and I needed a female port to accept the Wacom cable. Fortunately, I had an extra HDMI switcher handy and I was able to cobble together a connection. To my delight it worked just great!

First impressions: I went into this somewhat blind and didn't know what to expect. I was amazed when I turned the Wacom One on for the first time - basically, this this acts as a second monitor for your computer that happens to have a wickedly accurate touchscreen that only works with the pen. In other words, touching the screen with my finger does nothing, but with my pen I can control the entire computer by mirroring my screen to the Wacom. Forget my artistic aspirations! I just made myself immediately more productive with a second monitor!

Writing: The first app I opened was OneNote - my note taking app of choice. I use one note on my iPad Pro on the go, and while it's convenient, I've never been super happy with how my handwriting looks with the Apple Pencil. For giggles, I used the Wacom tablet to write out a task list, and then did the same on my iPad Pro using the Apple Pencil. Immediately, I noticed how much more natural the Wacom tablet felt. I was able to feel some texture under my Wacom pen as if I was writing on a piece of paper. On my iPad of course it's like writing on glass, super slick and sometimes difficult to control. I uploaded examples of the two task lists for comparison. I didn't do any adjustments of pen/pencil thickness or anything so it may not be an apples to apples, but you can see that the Wacom tablet (dark screen) had smoother results.

Drawing: The tablet came with complimentary art software called Clip Studio for 3 months so I messed around for a few minutes and created the doodle that I uploaded as well. I have to say it was super fun to just try the different brushes and styles and see how accurately I could draw my sketch and paint within the lines. (I definitely need Jason Lee to add depth and shading to give my image more definition)

Conclusion: I went into thinking I may have fun tool to expand my creativity. I came away thinking how cool this tablet is as a second monitor (albeit low resolution), adding touchscreen capabilities to my Mac, improved note machine, photo editing tool, and heck - I could even plug this into a ROKU and stream Chasing Amy while I work on other things. All in all I can't say that I wouldn't be able to live without the Wacom One tablet, but I'm definitely going to have a lot more fun with the tablet in my setup!

Lots of Fun and Good for Beginners

Disclaimer: I am not a graphic designer by any means, but I enjoy drawing, coloring, and I create content for social media and events at my school. That’s what this tablet is going to be used for, primarily.

Right when you open the box, you can tell why Wacom is a leader in graphics tablets. Both the tablet and pen are wrapped securely in this felty paper material. It really gives you that premium feel as you unbox everything. The next thing you notice is the excellent build quality. The tablet and pen both have substance and feel well built in your hands. Other than the tablet and pen, you’ll also find a power adapter and cables, as well as an owner’s manual and clear instructions for setup printed in multiple places on the box.

Speaking of setup, it should be easy for anyone buying this tablet. Once you get all the cables attached to the appropriate locations, you simply power on, head to wacom.com/download, and download the latest driver for Mac or Windows. Once this is complete you can create a Wacom account to access and use the Wacom app/ all of Wacom’s online services, including the free software that comes with the device.

Once everything is connected and running properly, the Wacom One works as an additional monitor for your computer. Any of the apps you download will download to your computer, not the tablet. You will simply open them and use them on the device. Of the three free programs that come with the tablet (Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Premiere Rush, and Bamboo Paper), I have only downloaded Bamboo Paper as the others are trials only that will require payment after the trial period. I supplemented Bamboo Paper with Sketchbook as it is a free application that works very similarly to Clip Studio Paint. There are plenty of other free drawing services out there, you just need to do a little exploring to find the one(s) that will be best for you. For me, Bamboo Paper is going to work well for note taking, while Sketchbook is going to work well for drawing, coloring, and limited image editing. I used Sketchbook to color in the Pikachu image attached to this review.

So far, my experience with using the Wacom One has been great. Using the tablet with the legs extended lifts the screen up to a 19-degree angle and this has been perfect for content creation. The device is plenty bright and using the pen on the display truly does feel like you’re using a real pencil with the right amount of friction. Screen size for my use is perfectly adequate. However, much like others reviewing this device, I would agree with wanting better screen resolution. While 1080p is adequate, it isn’t ideal for fine details when drawing or touching up a picture. I would also really like to see this device with a touch screen and the ability to type. At every turn, I find myself using my fingers to try and navigate around the screen and it obviously doesn’t work. It’s a little unnatural to reach for the pen every time I want to do something. These aren’t huge gripes, obviously, and they don’t detract from the overall use of the device, but I think these things would make it pretty darn near perfect.

Some parting tidbits about this device: 1) If you already have a dual monitor PC setup and want to use the Wacom One, it will work as the third monitor. My main monitors use the VGA and HDMI outputs from my graphics card, so this little guy is plugged into my DisplayPort output with an HDMI adapter. It works just fine. 2) Let’s say you’ve been using this thing for a long time or drop the pen and break the nib. Don’t fret. Extra nibs come with the Wacom One, but finding them is a little game of hide and seek. They’re underneath the tablet’s legs. Maybe this is an easy find for people who have used Wacom tablets before, but if not, you’re welcome.

My final thoughts on the Wacom One are that it is a fun device to use and it’s also easy to use if you haven’t used a Wacom tablet before. Despite the couple little upgrades I would like to see changed for future iterations of this device, I still think this particular model is well worth the investment.

    Good.

Its great, I have not learned how to use all the features but it gets the job done and makes great strokes for illustrations. It has a much larger screen than I thought so I was pleasantly surprised. I use this with Adobe Illustrstorfor pressure sensitivity and it also makes my work go along faster than with a mouse. I can pretty much use it as a tablet with the pen if I am navigating chrome, but its best used for illustrating.

Great tool for beginner's in digital art

The Wacom One graphics tablet is the first one we ever had - we have nor prior experience in digital art. From that standpoint, it is a really good device for beginners. I think the biggest confusion that people have about it is the tablet aspect - IT IS NOT PORTABLE. It works more like a second screen for your computer. Other than that, once setup is done it's quite easy to understand how things can be done.

    Summary:

    Pros:

    - The screen is matte

    - Super responsive display

    - Quite a lot of options to choose from as page layout (papers with scales/graph paper like options etc.) in the Bamboo Paper application

    - Installation is not that difficult

    Cons:

    - Lots of cables that need to be attached (HDMI, Power etc.)

    - Does not have the natural water color like behavior, so colors do not mix up when you draw (blue +yellow does not make green), which would've been awesome for someone who's starting out

I'm also including some images that have been drawn with the table.

    It's a win.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She had been using the Wacom Intuos (CTH-490W) drawing tablet for a couple of years(which is great for beginners) and she absolutely loves the upgrade. She said the large interface allows for a better view of her work and the tablet is very easy to use, as the learning curve isn't too high for people who have never used a display tablet.

Wacom vs the competition. You get what you pay for

Amazing tablet, you get what you pay for! I’ve been using an iPad Pro 12.9 but have gotten to the point where the screen size is just too small for bigger projects so I constantly have to be zooming in and out so I figured upgrade to a Wacom for the studio and keep the iPad Pro for on the go.

1st impressions it’s bigger than you’d think, for size reference I’d say it about the size of an IMac 27” definitely get an arm or the ergo stand the little legs behind it won’t do it your neck will thank you later on.

    2. The touch functionality is really really hit or miss especially compared to the iPad Pro, touch is just not there yet. I found myself turning it off as other reviewers mentioned. Save $500 and do the non touch version.

    3. Pressure sensitivity is on par with the Apple Pencil 2nd gen.

    4. Setup was really easy and straight forward

    5. Overall it’s a really great tablet I would recommend for any serious or professional artist definitely worth the money. Compared to huion, xp pen and gamón this is definitely better quality think of it as apple vs Android they all do the same thing at the end of the day but in my opinion after trying all 3 I’d say the Wacom beats out the others in build quality and pencil response/pressure sensitivity. The others tend to skip at times or just issues with the drivers. Only thing bad if at all is the price but again after experiencing the competition it’s well worth it in my mind. Side note if you can’t justify the price of the Wacom I would go with the huion personally if you need some sort of specific pc or Mac application they even have a 4K 16” will have to try that out soon as well. If you just want something to draw On and don’t care about specific applications I would definitely say an iPad Pro that way you have a drawing tablet and also have other iPad functionalities.

I ended up returning it but only because I would like a 32” instead just for more space for references and windows within the monitor.

Additionally, it's a brilliant touch monitor as well, accurate and reliable. The expensive stand is almost a must for me, but if you do digital drawing, this monitor is fantastic.

    Expensive, but definitely the best.

It is easy to set up, it does exactly what it says, and is quality through and through. It is worth the price if you want the best. The only downside is it would be nice if the controller was customizable for more apps (like "Word").

This thing is MASSIVE but is excellent

I'm a graphic designer and I've never had a drawing tablet before so I went all in and got this one. I like the option to turn touch display on or off but I find myself with it off more than on. I was worried the screen would get hot while drawing on it but I can draw on it for hours and it just gets warm to the touch but never hot. The fans are extremely quiet and you would really have to listen for it to even hear them. Do your self and get a stand for this thing because it is brutal on your neck staring down at it. The Express Key remote is hands down one of the best features Wacom has come out with. I use it so much and is completely customizable. The screen quality is excellent but the matte finish does mess with the color in your design program a little bit unless you have a screen calibrator. I'm super happy with this display so far though.

The Drawing Pad of all Drawing Pads, or could be..

It is fast. Video resolution is outstanding. It provides a lot of configuration options. And I know I am going to make very good use of this unit, creating children's books, editing photos, etc.

It's not perfect though. For such an expensive device, you would expect that they would load up on the key spec's where they could, or at least make it easy for you to upgrade yourself. Offering 16GB of standard memory was great, and providing an open slot to add another chip to make it 32GB is outstanding.

However, I am less pleased with the storage option. A 500GB SSD is just ok, especially for a device that is intended to be used for media (photos, videos) editing and creating. Being able to theoretically replace the drive with an up to 2TB SSD is good. However, finding a drive of that size that meets Wacom's spec's was not so easy. Actually, I was unable to find one, and turned to Wacom for guidance, and really got none. They just spit back the same requirements for an SSD board that are listed online, with no help on who makes a compatible such item.

The SSD card also has a spring load, which makes it difficult to reconnect the non-slotted side to the board with a screw since it does not lay flat when inserted. Bad design.

A regular USB port would be nice since that is what standard thumb drives use so I will have to make use of adapters.

I wish it was at least a pound lighter, especially since it has no keyboard, but I can live with it, I guess.

Most people don’t need this but if you do….

    You will also WANT this.

I love my 24 inch Wacom but needed one for the road. This fills the bill nicely.

I was concerned the video card wouldn’t be enough or the heat from the screen (others complain about) or the fan noise (also a common complaint) would be an issue….it’s not.

Great as a Graphics design tool, clucky at regular

Great as a Graphics design tool, clucky at regular computer stuff like checking emails or surfing the internet. It was specialized to do one thing will and it does that very well. I use it for digital art and it's amazing for that. However if I play music (speakers are garbage.) or check emails its a bit clunky and spasms allot. One issue seems to be there can be too many modes of input (Touch screen, Pen, add a mouse, touch keys on the side, onscreen keyboard) and the computer gets confused and trys to guess what you want but gets it wrong, frequently. I highly recommend adding a wireless mouse and keyboard for day to day use. It also doesn't have any standard sized USB ports which is very annoying and the USB-C ports can get a bit wonky especially as you also have to use them to charge it. The battery life is basically non-existent. Maybe 30mins so plan on working attached to a wall plug but with that in mind the charging cable is too short. Its also heavy for what should be a "portable" device and the "stands" on the back feel flimsy and unreliable. (No-one buys a flat tablet shaped device just to sit at a desk or table with it, duh!) One other niggle is the case for the pen doesn't attached to the computer in any way so it becomes one more thing to carry or loose. The front facing camera which you will use for say zoom meetings is all the way on one side not centered on the top or bottom which creates weird angle problems during meetings if you want to both be on camera but also see whoever is talking to you and reach the screen. Its way to heavy to even use the camera on the back and I'm not really sure why it even has this. The cams aren't really good and if your doing graphics your taking photos with something better, like even my smartphone.

Despite all these complaints, as I said before, it is a great graphics tool. The textured screen surfaces makes the display slightly less bright but it means your pen doesn't skate all over the glass like it would on a tablet or smart phone. I bought this as my PC, and first wacom were getting old and dieing and as I had devolped health problems that make it difficult for my to sit upright at a desk for very long and it does work for that. It is awkward however but I got a whole system for about the same I would have spent on a full desktop with a more standard wacom, screen etc and I really didn't have room to set up another desk space anyway. Over all for graphics its great but unless that your primary goal its probably not an investment you want to make.

    Game Changer!

First of all I would like to clarify that the only reason I

didn't give this product 5 stars is the fact that I had to return the first one I bought due to it being faulty.

After Best Buy replaced it I couldn't be more happier with it.

This product offers so much it would take alot of space and time to write it all down. My advice is to go to YouTube and you can find all types of videos over it.

In my case I use it mostly for illustrations and writing stories. It also has internet apabilities so you can use office as well. I would highly recommended this product to anyone!

Fantastic if you need one, overkill if you don't

This is probably overkill for most people; a Surface or an iPad Pro is all you need if you want to do a little drawing or painting on a screen. But if you're a professional artist, or just have artistic hobbies, this really is an amazing machine. I can run Zbrush on the couch, flawlessly. And if I need more horsepower than it provides, I can hook it up to my PC workstation or my MacBook Pro and use it like a Cintiq. The only downsides are the underpowered graphics -- don't expect decent 3D preview performance in any GPU-centered application; some of the inherent awkwardness of a huge, heavy tablet; and the occasional heat issue.

    Great for a specific need

Great response with a ton of options to customize settings to your needs. I would not recommend for just anyone as it is great for a specific need. I personally love this for the fact I can use it just about anywhere and it uses so little space. The major draw back is the battery life is nearly non existent. It essentially needs to be plugged in if you plan to use it more than an hour at a time. It is absolutely incredible even with this major set back. It takes some getting used to being the glass is slightly textured (intended to reduce glare and creates more paper like feel.) All in all I personally am glad for picking this up but wouldn't say it is for everyone. This is intended for more advanced use so if you are looking to start out I'd recommend a more simple drawing tablet to start, but if you are experienced and are looking for something portable this is it.

    I wanted to like it.

I'd been looking for an upgrade to my old cintiq 24HD for several years and finally decided to go all in on the 32 Pro. Unfortunately it seems Wacom didn't put their top quality control on these units. The first one I had didn't seem to match the color accuracy of my Dell Ultrasharps where my prior one did, then a replacement was sent that looked significantly worse with the panel clearly screwed on far too tight. Light bleed was so bad I had to return it completely.

I hope wacom steps up their game on another unit because the draw feel of this was absolutely amazing and I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't if the colours wouldn't be accurate to my needs.
