Watch your favorite movies in stunning high definition with this Sony DVPSR510H DVD player that features HD upconversion for a crystal-clear picture and Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS decoders for a lush soundscape.
I bought it thinking it was like my older one that broke, but I'm glad with this purchase cause it's much better than the one I had. Plus in the remote I can open and close the dvd tray, like with the other one I had to manually press a button on the player to get the dvd out. And it plays the movies clear. I'm very happy.Dec 11, 2020 15:49
Thanks to Best Buy, we bought this reasonably affordable-priced Sony DVD Player that was easy to install and played our long-stored DVD movie right on queue!!
Love this compact sleek-looking model!Jun 19, 2020 17:37
This DVD player is small and compact. Doesn’t take up much room at all. It’s easy to set up and operate and the price was great. Ordering free m Best! Buy was easy and shipping was fastJun 14, 2019 17:10
Easy installation, automatic setup and simple operation. A good price bargin.Jul 24, 2020 17:01
I purchased this open box. I already noticed the remote does not work properly. But I thought nothing of it because the pandemic hit and thing s became chaotic in the house. I have not used it for a while and I did not have any new DVD to play. Lately, I started to use it again, but the remote does not work. I thought it was the battery. So I bought some new batteries. Did not work. I used my mother's remote. The same kind of DVD player . Her remote worked on my player. But now it is too late for me to return this item. I will try to contact Sony and see what will happen.May 24, 2020 01:35
This is a good DVD Player. It is very inexpensive, yet provides excellent picture and sound quality. My only dislike is the fact that there is only a single, very small light on the front to let you know the unit is turned on. It does not have a display, like my previous Sony DVD player, that showed the status (e.g., playing time, etc.).Feb 22, 2020 06:35
Exactly what I wanted—nice and compact and super easy to hook up. Works perfectly!Jun 19, 2020 15:49
This dvd player was so easy to set up and I love Sony products. My previous dvd player was a Sony- I got it 19 years ago and it stll works great, but I just updated my TV and the old dvd player did not interact with it so I had to update my dvd player. I would defnitely recommend the Sony dvd player to anyone!Jul 24, 2020 15:23
Build your entertainment system with this LG DVD player. Its USB direct recording feature lets you copy CD tracks onto a flash drive or music player, and its multi-playback function supports various media formats. Share content from a portable device via the USB 2.0 port of this LG DVD player.
I have bought a few DVD players and this LG has been the best one yet.May 08, 2020 18:35
This is a god DVD Player and very inexpensive. It provides excellent picture and sound quality. My only dislike is the lack of a display to show DVD Player status (e.g., playing time, etc.).Feb 22, 2020 06:40
Excellent size to fit underneath the LG TV I purchased. Easy set up and easy use.Jan 01, 2021 19:43
Great DVD player for the money! Easy to use! Like it!Jan 21, 2019 13:38
It's better than say a GPX, Craig, Sylvania, etc brand, but not as good as a Sony. I got it solely because they were sold out of the Sony's at my various department stores. Still, for the price, features, etc there's really no valid complaints. It's just one can't help but compare it to the competition and so they simply end up falling into second place, but then that's hardly bad considering all of the available choices. Note, if you get the DP132 and the DP132H and do a side-by-side comparison, there's 2 things that might be of interest to some not mentioned by the company. Ok, 3 technically as they do note and tell you about the upscaling HDMI port, that's why there's a cost difference. The other 2 things are an ever slight size difference. Check the specs too on Best Buy's site. The HDMI version is approx one inch wider. Not a big deal, but it is a difference. The other actually may be a big deal to some. Again, check specs and pics on Best Buy's site to verify, but they each come with a different remote. Very similar design and button layout, but the remote that comes with the HDMI version is actually surprisingly larger. Not huge, but put side-by-side with the remote included with the standard version from LG and trust me, you'll most definitely instantaneously notice quite the difference between the two. Night and day difference really. The remote with the basic version feels like what you'd expect to come with a cheap branded DVD player. You know? It'll work alright, but definitely not preferable for most. Whereas the remote given with the HDMI version feels like what you'd expect and want a DVD remote, or even a TV remote, to feel like. It just feels right. Without a doubt if getting a LG DVD player get the HDMI version if only for the remote, that alone justifies the price difference between the two.Oct 31, 2021 21:03
Is it the best picture quality? No.
Will the extra features blow you away? No.
Is it a cheap DVD player that’s easy to install and gets the job done if you still have a few old dvds you watch? Absolutely!
The only issue I had during set up ended up being the need to reset my TV. Thankfully not a serious issue however I was extremely disappointed in Best Buy because they refused any type of service beyond me bringing the computer to them or paying excessively steep charges. Very glad to have a wonderful cable provider to swing by the house and took care of everything which is especially appreciate it since I was a cancer patient who is an able to drive I can’t leave the house nor do I have the budget to pay for geeks quad. If you have issues with this DVD player and a smart tv, save time just reset your tv and try again!Feb 15, 2020 01:30
This was a perfect purchase for me. All I wanted was a simple 1080 dvd with hdmi output. This one ended up being perfect.
No menus to navigate through except what’s on the dvd you are playing. I am not a big fan of all the extras that come on the big ticket players. It also integrated perfectly with the LG tv it was connected to...and the remote works on both right out of the box. Couldn’t be happier.Jul 27, 2019 08:38
My Review, is FANTASTIC!! We are older folks who wanted a stereo system, nothing elaborate, asked for help, I cannot remember the fellows name, this is the session ID: Session ID: CAS-7167429-W6K7B2
He suggested a receiver and a dvd player. We purchased what he suggested, and we are SO VERY HAPPY, this man deserves a raise! we have purchased before from Best Buy, this purchase was stellar, our next purchase will be from Best BuyNov 14, 2020 05:36
Enjoy films and more in 720p high-definition resolution with this LG DP132 DVD player, which features load times as low as 7 seconds. USB port enables versatile playback and allows you to record your favorite media (USB drive not included).
This is a replacement for one that I gave away, I love LG - DVD players because they play multiple recorded formats, most DVD players do not. This DVD player is a family staple.Oct 16, 2020 18:02
I'm having a blast every time I use this DVD player in order to play back my CD's and DVD's . I believe I shall call it DVD player number IV........May 07, 2021 20:38
The LG - DVD Player with USB is freaking awesome!!! The YouTube and Netflix addition is such a bonus too!!!Oct 05, 2018 13:28
This is a wonderful product. We are glad we bought this item and use it everyday!!!Jan 17, 2018 18:49
Garbage. Will never buy an open box item again. Finally got it set up in my sons room, remote is missing the back, there was a dvd in the player. Clearly no one checked to make sure all parts were there. And of course, its past our return date.Aug 01, 2021 15:56
The DVD player has good picture quality and sound. The DVD player is compact and easy to fit to TV or anywhere. The remote is compact and easy to handle.Jul 30, 2018 10:03
Needed a small, compact, DVD player that worked well and had remote control ability. Our purchase, with the help of your associate (Robert G.), turned out to be a perfect match for our entertainment center in the bedroom.
I guess you could say it was a BEST BUY !Jan 17, 2021 09:04
Good price. It doesn't play Blue Ray, but it will play regular DVDs and also your old CDs.Jan 11, 2020 04:28
This Sony DVPSR210P DVD player features progressive scan for a crisp, smooth picture and built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoders for quality audio.
First I really liked Best Buy and the pickup process was so organized and easy - I just had to buy some other stuff. I bought this Sony DVP-SR210P based on its reviews, features, reputation and my past history with SONY products. It replaced a Panasonic DVD Player that really lasted a long time and worked great. The Player has worked on everything I have put in it. Original Disks, Copied DVD's in various formats, and even damaged old DVD's. The display is amazing, must be 1080p. It was a 5 minute Plug and Play install. It is a Ultra Slim Design, and pretty small. Not good to set other devices on. I am very careful with putting disks in and only use the Remote to Open / Close. I would think twice if you have a bunch of kids playing DVD's. They will break it. Tender disc tray.Aug 28, 2020 16:31
I bought this for my parents because theirs had just stopped working and before they continued arguing all day I just ran to Best Buy and bought this one.Nov 09, 2013 03:39
I love my DVD player it works very well and my movies are very clear love it.Apr 02, 2021 15:34
Easy to use in a reasonable price. Very handy and works with my small video cam recorder. Now I can watch my kids videos from 14 years ago. Thank you!Jul 10, 2021 13:14
The player is sleek and compact, perfect for an apartment in the city such as mine. Easy to use, settings are straightforward yet versatile. Highly recommend!Nov 05, 2020 20:40
Nice and compact device. Components feel a little cheap (but so was the price!). I like the small size and basic features. Wish it would load a little faster.Dec 14, 2018 15:58
It went good after the fact I had to come back the 2nd time (45 min drive) to get video cables for it! I will send two pictures! I had to come back because, I had sound but no color or I had color but no sound! It would have been nice if I had it the first time. Oh well it’s ok!Jul 10, 2020 16:14
As my old DVD player went south , I headed to Best Buy for a new one and a laptop as well . The integral part of my decision to shop here at this location is that every associate / sales rep never makes me feel like an idiot as I am not tech savvy and never pressures me into high ticket items . They are knowledgeable , respectful and very helpful as to finding an item that you want to fit my budget . The DVD player is a perfect match for my budget and living arrangement . Easily programmable remote with batteries inclusive in purchase as well . Win - win .Mar 15, 2019 13:25

This Sylvania DVD player boasts a compact design that fits anywhere and offers easy operation with a full-function remote.
It's pretty much what I needed. A low cost player that does the job.May 05, 2021 20:28
Much easier to set up with my Yamaha receiver and can play all kind of CD’s with this. Excellent product at this price.Dec 18, 2020 18:49
I just recently came across lots of classic movies on DVD disc. Alas I had no DVD player who does.? Best Buy to the rescue Great product Great Price Overnight delivery.
I am enjoying Pulp Fiction right now. Who needs Net Flix.Jun 11, 2021 15:27
I got this for an emergency and so far its been pretty good...not bad for the price eather.Dec 11, 2020 23:51
Great staff and great store! I love the Sylvania DVD/ MP3 Player. Will return and let everyone know where to go! I hate to admit this it took me 54 yrs to shop for my TV and DVD player at BestBuy!!May 14, 2021 20:50
So I bought this on 9/1/19 it’s 9/26/19 this is the second time I use it and it’s already skipping or stops playing I just put 4 different dvd just to be sure it’s not that disk . Go with another brand this one is no goodSep 26, 2019 15:21
We purchased this DVD player because we conduct classes at our business. Upon opening the box the player did not play a DVD. The disc tray repeatedly opened and closed on its own without stopping. Figuring we had a defective product we exchanged it for the exact same one. The replacement performed exactly the same way.Feb 25, 2021 14:12
This Sylvania DVD player is obviously built with cost considerations in mind, it is small and very light in weight. However, it does have some good features not found on other DVD players of today. First, it has a HDMI connection so you can get the most from a home theater receiver if you connect through one for surround sound. It will pass DTS and Dolby Digital audio to a TV directly, or to a home theater or stereo receiver. Additionally, the HDMI allows easy connection to modern flat panel TVs. It has a decent "Jack Pack" allowing flexibility to connect to many other displays, such as an older HDTV or CRT non digital tv you may still own that has a composite or component input, or a computer monitor with a proper RGB input to converter cable. It also has a coax digital audio output to allow the separate audio and video connections. These features are no longer typical on DVD or Blu-ray players as they once were. In addition to features, it will also upconvert the standard DVD 480p output to up to 1080p to get the most resolution possible from a standard DVD on a HD panel. Note: this is NOT actual 1080p resolution, but 480 to 1080 conversion. You can't make more detail than the original source provides, however, it does make the 480p standard DVD movies look as good as they can get resolution wise (albeit interpolated) on a HDTV. In general, the picture quality is subjectively as good as from any other comparable DVD player, the picture ie sharp, the details are present, the color is accurate and true, not runny or smeared. Hi-Bit DVDs look very, very good on this player. It is not, however, up to the quality of a true Blu-ray DVD on a Blu-ray player. Note: This player will not play Blu-ray discs. Although built to cost, the unit is fairly quiet in operation, and should not interfere with the viewing experience.
On the negative side, the remote is "rubbery" with lots of small buttons, the play/pause button is tiny and buried in a mass of other buttons in the central part of the remote face. The unit is very lightweight and small, and does not fit in a standard component 17.1 inch width format. The most annoying thing i that the up conversion must be reset after every play, else it will fall back to 480p. You may never notice this if your TV or home theater receiver also does a decent up conversion job, but it may not be as good as the player is able to deliver. You will have to experiment with this with your own setup. I think it does this to remain compatible with older 480p standard definition only sets, but I would like for the player to remember the setting once set in preferences by the owner, so you don't have to remember to set it every time you turn it on. I also really wish this had a digital readout on the front panel so I could use this as a stand alone deck for audio playback of CDs, so I could feed this directly into a stereo. It will still play CDs without the display, but if not connected to a display device, you may not be able to tell what track and time remain for the disc you are playing. The unit does display this info on a tv display however. Unfortunately, almost no current playback devices have a front panel display anymore, it's onscreen only it seems. For these listed deficiencies, I subtracted a star.
This is really good for a person that has no need for a high featured movie playback system, or a child who does not cause the family a major loss if it is mishandled, it can easily be replaced (and the parent can address the mishandling, I would hope!) The picture quality is just fine for most normal viewing circumstances, and if you have a really high end viewing system, you probably would not be buying this anyway (but even if you did, it does a nice job of producing what is on the DVD). For its price to performance ratio, I could easily recommend this, if even only to have a back-up in case of your main system unit failure.Nov 12, 2019 12:31
