I got this for my wifes birthday. She used to use our laptop for Sims but would get frustrated with overheating and low battery capacity. She loves the speed and qiet rgb fans. My daughter even uses it for roblox. We dont expect to run big games on it but so far runs great.Sep 04, 2021 13:57
XPG XENIA Laptop delivers Xtreme gaming performance with Intel Core i7-9750H processor, paired with our XPG DDR4 16GBx1 2666MHz sorted DRAM, ultra-fast XPG SX8200 Pro SSD, and GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB. Take it up a notch with a mechanical keyboard that uses optical actuation and per-key RGB illumination, an ultra-light magnesium alloy body, and a spacious 15.6-inch IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
This is my first gaming laptop. I love the RGB on the keyboard. It comes with software so I can adjust the colors and lighting effect to match my mood. I can also turn them off if I am just not feeling it today. I spent at least an hour just playing with the RGB. The keyboard feels better than any other laptop keyboard I have ever felt. They keys feel mechanical and they are big enough that I don’t feel cramped. The touch pad feels nice. Some older touch pads used to feel kind of soft and unresponsive, but this one feels sturdy and sensitive. I don’t plan on using the touch pad, but Its nice to know that I have to option to use it when I am on the go and won’t be frustrated by it not registering my touches.
It comes with one stick of RAM so I can easily upgrade it if I need more. Also, since it uses an M.2 SSD, I can easily install a bigger SSD. For me, the option to upgrade my laptop in the future is a huge necessity, especially since so many laptops come with RAM and an SSD soldered to the machine.
The screen is pretty good, Its nice and easy to see even in direct sunlight and doesn’t have any glare. The GPU performance is also pretty good. It can run any game that I throw at it. I played some Overwatch on it and it looks great!
The battery life is pretty crazy. I can get more than 4 hours out of it at normal use without putting it into power save mode.
This is a great gaming laptop. Don’t sleep on it.Mar 05, 2021 15:45
Amazing laptop for the price! Great for gaming and other stuff. Xpg and Intel made good work with this product. I have had mine for a few months and is incredible!Aug 09, 2021 18:49
I got a XENIA with 32GB ram and 1TB SSD at $1499. I am very satisfied with the performance of this one. It takes me 10 second to boot the machine and super fast when saving my 3D rendering files. If you do not have to deal with large sizes of files, I would recommend to buy this one with 16GB ram and 512MB SSD since they would be enough for you to use upon the price difference.Feb 11, 2021 18:14
I needed a new laptop for my school, I’m studying computer science and require something that could run various programming softwares. I got the 16GB ram and 512MB SSD since it seems like a good price point, especially for a student like me. Everything runs smoothly and I can even play games without problems of frame rate dropping which is an issue I had with my last laptop. 5 out of 5 stars!Feb 12, 2021 16:49

Great GPU. Good price. I know that this GPU is for 1080p but I used it for 4k and it does the work.Aug 27, 2020 23:51
Good budget GPU that doesn't break the bank. I needed to upgrade my GTX 1060 3gb, but didn't want to pay too much for a higher end card. This gets me over 100 fps on low settings on Warzone and around 75 on medium settings.Nov 17, 2020 17:32
I admittedly bought this card out of desperation due to the current availability issues of the video card market. I needed it for a secondary computer. I mostly use it for 4k youtube and some mid 2010 games. But I've been surprised at just how well this little card does. Absolutely no regrets! Score wise it's not all that far behind a 1080 oc card I have in another rig. Think that speaks quite well of this card!Mar 05, 2021 17:55
Quality GC for the price. Solid build and works well with my I5Nov 04, 2021 10:19
Not a bad card at all, probably not the best for warzone as that game is poorly optimized, but I can get about 80-90 fps at 1080p. I would get it though to hold you over the GPU shortage.Jun 23, 2021 13:16
Great price for performance. 32+ Mh/s and cool memory temps.Oct 31, 2021 11:11
Thank I’ve been needing this for my custom built pc. Best Buy is the only place where real people can actually buy stuff without bots having to ruin everything. I sincerely applaud Best BuyAug 04, 2021 22:56
Card is really good and worked as expected. Good build quality. The only thing that bugs me is that it has a plastic back plate. I think that a metal back plate is a must. However the card really doesn't get that hot.Apr 19, 2021 16:14
The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti lets you take on the latest games using the power of Ampere—NVIDIA’s 2nd generation RTX architecture. Discover incredible performance with enhanced Ray Tracing Cores and Tensor Cores, new streaming multiprocessors, and high-speed G6 memory.
TL;DR: Buy this product if it is in stock and if you need a graphics card because it is amazing, but don't fear if you don't get it for AMD and Nvidia's new offerings in Q 1/2 of 2021, may provide the gpu that could be a better fit for you.
I got this product after refreshing the page many times on launch day and was one of the few souls who got it, I wish luck to the others who are trying to get it. Firstly, I use a egpu (external Graphics Card Unit) when I game because of my personal situation, and I was able to get it up and running within a few minutes. All of my games are amazing compared to my previous card (gtx 960) and I was able to play Battlefield 1/V, Fallout 4/76, Skyrim SE, GTA V, and RDR2 all at 60 fps+ on 4k High/Ultra settings with 1% lies in the low 50s fps at worse (RDR2 during a pretty strenuous scene) and 0.1% lows in the high 40s fps (also in RDR2). But please remember, even with my relatively good egpu set up, it normally gets no more than 80-95% then what you get in desktop, so your milage may very.
Thermals: It never got more than 72°C in my 1 hour stress test in unigen heaven with the very quiet stock fan curve that got to no more than 41%. The physical card is simply beautiful and it seems to use all of the metal as a heat sink and (don't touch the card at home, I was just curious for this review) gets quite uncomfortably hot, so don't touch your graphics card while it's in usage even though that should be obvious because it is a computer part. It admittedly warmed up my room by about 1°C with room set at 21°C to 22°C after about 5 hours of continuous usage (along with my 25w laptop and my smaller bedroom, this is an uncontrolled variable but is interesting nontheless). The airflow and cooling for the card is outstanding considering it is a 200w card and is smaller than my evga twin fan edition of my previous gtx 960. Great stuff!
Overclocking: With there being quite a bit of thermal head room, I felt confident in the cards ability to I overclock, and I was right. I was able to oc it with the core at 2085 mhz (+150 cc) and it was stable during my 2 hour stress test of me playing GTA V story mode. I was able to get it to 2110 mhz (+175 cc), but it was a tad unstable if it stayed there, and would normally fall back down to 2085 automatically in order to not crash. With the memory clock I was able to get a +1400mhz on the memory and it remained stable and there was no artifacting after that same stress test on GTA V. Ii was able to get about 3%-12% fps performance gains, which is astounding, but the average was more like 6.5-8.5% fps gain. With the stock fan curve and with these overclocking settings, it got to 54% fan speed at 79°C, and with my manual fan speed setting of 72% it sat at 75°C. I would suggest using the auto curve if you are a bit sensitive to noise, but if you're fine with a little bit of fan noise, I would suggest raising the fan speed slightly higher like I did. Overall, it's very impressive from my perspective. Note that overclocking may void manufacturer warranty on some products and may not give same results, so use at your own risk.
DLSS and RTX: I really only play one game that uses either that I care to use and that is rtx minecraft which works perfectly at 4k ~55-60fps and looks stunning. It uses DLSS for the performance gains of from what I can tell of about 15-20+ fps to make it go from playable to very useable. DLSS at this point seems to be very a future oriented technology which is nice, because it gives me some more hope that I will be able to use the 3060ti for longer than I would otherwise. But, right now it is still a very impressive technology.
Overall: This is a great product for $400 and although a bit more vram would have been nice, for $400 there is no question that this is an absolute buy. Although the review shenanigans that occurred around this launch were quite suspect, this product is still very good and I recommend buying this model or any other 3060ti model if it is under $430. RTX in my eyes is still in it's infancy, but very much a product to be used, and DLSS along with Nvidia broadcast is also amazing. Best Buy pickup was fine and they got it too me a day later than expected, but they brought it out my car within a few minutes when I did go to pick it up. Thanks for my long ramble, and I wish you luck on getting this card, or any card for a good price this holiday season.

Performs very well for the money. Beats a 2080 Super and is $300 less MSRP. Sleek looking card, honestly more appealing than the AIB partner cards.
I was able to get this on release day. Contrary to popular belief (and a shocker even to me), Best Buy did a much better job implementing different mechanisms to prevent bots from taking over with their queued/gradual release system and additional human verifications at checkout. It wasn’t without a few bugs though depending on whether or not you were actually able to place your order. I know many others were able to add to cart and take it all the way to shipping/pick up location but no stores were shown as available at that point (this card was only available for ship-to-store/store pickup on release). I think it’s only going to get better though once these small bugs are fixed.
I haven’t been a Best Buy customer for close to a decade but after this mostly good experience, I can say they’re better than Newegg and that they are actually trying to prevent bots from buying stock whereas Newegg won’t even turn on Captcha because it “hinders the checkout experience.”
Take it from me, a pessimistic graphics-card seeker. One recommendation I do have for anyone reading this is to add all the cards you want to your Saved Items List on the mobile app and periodically check it to see if there are releases. You’ll see stock changes on the list itself so you don’t have to go through each item page. I think you’re more likely to stumble upon releases than waiting for a stock drop notification on a Discord server, which would be too late by the time you get it. On release day, I did this and beat stock drop notifications by a solid 5 minutes. I’ve found most Best Buy drops to occur on weekdays between 7:30-9:30am (PT). Make sure to have your payment information in your account in advance and use the mobile app for quicker checkout. Keep it up, you can get one.Dec 22, 2020 22:15
Ridiculous performance to the price. I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 with a 3440x1440 monitor and it's absolutely killing it, despite everyone talking about bugs and performance issues. If you find the opportunity to buy this or any of the 3000 series cards, jump on it. I'm coming from an RX 470 so this is a huge upgrade for me.
In my Cooler Master NR200, I'm getting a max temperature of 65 C, and idle is around 30 C.
It also overclocks pretty nicely. My core clock is at 2070 mhz and memory at 8000 mhz and it holds both with ease.Dec 18, 2020 21:47
I didn't even know that they were still selling these FE cards at MSRP with all of the stock problems and tariffs raising prices, but Best Buy came through. I learned about a drop of cards on the 9th from a discord with drop notifications, and with the 2FA and app I actually got a card. The build quality is amazing on this card and it runs Cyberpunk at 1080p any settings with ease.Feb 13, 2021 23:10
The card has exceeded my expectations, whether it be Black Ops Cold War or Cyberpunk 2077, this card can do it all for an amazing price. Frame rate is always high even maxed out I still am well above 60, on Red Dead 2 for example the graphics are beautiful and I’m still well above 100 FPS. The card not only performs well but also looks amazing too, if you can get your hands on one get it ASAP you won’t regret it.Dec 22, 2020 14:46
For the price point, this is an amazing GPU that rivals the 2080 super but at lower cost. My cpu is a Ryzen 7 3700x and 650 watt EVGA psu. I cap my frames at 144 to match my monitor and on Call of Duty Cold War and Fortnite 1080p low graphics settings this gpu holds 144 fps all day easily. I also used an Asiahorse 12 pin extension cable instead of the adapter that came with it. Best Buy did an amazing job at fighting the scalpers and bots by requiring you to input a verification code not only once, but twice. Everywhere else sells out in seconds to bots and scalpers.Jan 05, 2021 11:47
This is the BEST price to performance card out there. At only $399 you get the power that a $699 (2080 Super) graphics card had. I have had absolutely no issues with my 3060ti. I have it paired with a Ryzen 5 3600X. I mainly use it to fly in Microsoft Flight Simulator, and I get around 30-50fps depending on the environment. I occasionally get a lag spike that drops me to 1-5fps, but driver updates and game updates will most likely solve those issues.
Best card out there if you can get your hands on it, would 100% recommend to anyone with a $1000-$1200 PC budget.Dec 20, 2020 18:08
Great card for the price to performance. Sad that it doesn't have the led for the rtx geforce, but everything else is great. I can game at great settings and still get good fps.Oct 23, 2021 15:32
Run demanding games at high frame rates and in incredible detail with this MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. Games, streaming and other graphical programs run fluidly thanks to the 1,536 CUDA cores, and three DisplayPort outputs make multi-monitor setup simple. This MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card has 6GB of memory for handling intense workloads.
I needed something a bit more powerful than the stock Graphics card that came with my new RGB PC. I compared my card to many others and thought this was a good price point with a little bit of extra RGB bling to my system. Very happy with the purchase, and the card does not even break a sweat with FFXIV or WOW.Sep 26, 2020 13:07
My grandson needed this to build his gaming computer. He is ver happy with it.Oct 02, 2020 16:07
It was decent while I had it. Returned for a 3080. It had great LEDs and the cooler is very good. Software for MSI is good too. Runs any game high settings 1080p.Jun 06, 2021 01:42
It’s a good 1660 ti card. I do like the MSI afterburner software. It makes it very easy to tweak settings.Mar 06, 2021 10:46
This card is the perfect size for my computer when there’s not a hole lotta space, in Dell’s XPS 8930Oct 11, 2019 17:03
I am SO happy with this graphics card so far! I just built my own PC for the first time.
Ryzen 5 1600 (1st gen) @ 3.2ghz (overclocks COMFORTABLE to 3.9ghz)
16GB of 3200mhz DDR4 Ram
and of course, this GTX 1660 Ti graphics card.
So far I have tested a few games, and I'll show you the details/results below:
Forza Horizon 4 - Ultra Settings (all)
Averaging 120fps - plays fantastic. It would dip down to 89FPS in certain situations where it is very nature heavy, but not for very long, and it still looked fantastic.
Gears of War 4 - Max Settings
Averaging 115fps. The lowest I saw was 99fps during my benchmarks and playing the game. Looks fantastic and plays great!
The Surge - Ultra Settings
Again, averaging 110-120fps. It looks great!
Keep in mind, this is all being done with a 1st Gen Ryzen 5 1600 processor. The GPU takes a brunt of the work upfront, and it does it with ease. The highest I've seen it pushed so far is at 80% VRAM useage, during some parts in The Surge, other than that it's at around 50% VRAM usage for Forza and Gears.
Also, the RGB controls are wonderful, and it looks very slick inside the PC. Picture attached.Jul 07, 2019 00:54
I understand the hesitation behind buying 1600 series GPU after the 3000 series launch, but if you are looking for excellent 1080p to 1440p performance on a small-ish form factor card, this is definitely for you! It performs well in nearly all VR situations I've put it through, and gaming on my 75hz 1080p IPS display never felt so good. Paired with a Ryzen 2500x, you'll be far above playable FPS, even on most modern day titles on high settings. If your hesitant, don't be. Get it and I promise you won't regret it.
I have downloaded MSI Afterburner, but I have yet to mess with the out of the box OC settings.Oct 12, 2020 13:48
MSI yet again did a great job with the 1660Ti. This card is mainly for an entry level gamer wanting to get great 1080P content.
The way I’m using it is they mining. Currently this card gets 30MH/S on Ethash *Undervolted* under 75 watts. which is a mining ago utilize in cyrptocurreny. Yes I know gamers don’t like us but we contribute a great amount in nvidia sales as well and that’s one reason I’m writing this review.
Out of the box it shows the workman’s craft they put into the gaming edition great design and a touch of RGB.
I chose this card because of the looks mainly and the efficiency of the card. Also for resale value in the future. If your a miner you should already know this is one of the best efficient mining card and if your a casual gamer wanting decent FPS than this is a great choice of well. This card also requires an 8pin pci connector so make sure you have one available on your PSU
Happy Mining!May 21, 2019 17:55
Experience immersive gaming experience with this NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super gaming graphics card. The 6GB of memory and 1830MHz boost clock ensure superb gaming performance, while the GeForce Experience feature lets you capture and share live streams, videos and screenshots with friends. This NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super gaming graphics card boasts a TORX FAN 3.0 feature for efficient heat management and optimal performance.
For the price it's a pretty high quality video card. Supports multiple monitors via HDMI and video ports. Supports my VR headset which was a must have when I was shopping and the added programmable RGB built in lighting is pretty cool as well.
Picture below does not do it justice due to all the RGB lighting but in person it stands out.Apr 24, 2020 16:02
This graphics card is amazing for my VR rig. I'm playing half-life alyx in high specs with the old oculus rift with no problem 10/10Apr 21, 2020 23:41
Was running a 580, went to this and it runs so much smoother. Doesnt over heat like the 580.Mar 20, 2020 15:50
with this graphics card you can play anything in 1080p in 144hz with 4k supportAug 17, 2020 18:29
Everything worked perfectly! The store clerks was very niceOct 24, 2020 09:50
Bought this card for my first self built pc, moved up from the 1060 3gb and there is a gigantic difference in performance. I'm able to easily play at the highest settings in games such as overwatch, subnautica, and PUBG with no problem at all. I've also been able to stream my games on high settings with no problem at all at 1080. My monitor is also locked at 60hz and 1080 as well so keep that in mind, I've heard it performs very well with 144hz monitors thought so that shouldn't be an issue.
The card also comes with 3 DisplayPort ports and only one HDMI port, no DVI ports at all so that is definitely something to look for depending on your monitor setup. But if you don't use DisplayPort you can always get adapters.
The fans themselves are also very quiet and only turn on when the card is under load, keeping your system relatively quiet. Temperatures usually stay at around 65 degrees during a typical gaming session.
Definitely one of the more expensive 1660 supers out there but I think it's worth it for the extra RGB which is adjustable with the Dragon Center software by MSI. It's definitely a well made card, feel sturdy and has a metal backplate to cover up the circuit board making your build look clean. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a powerful card but also doesn't want to break the bank too much.Apr 07, 2020 00:46
I'm giving this 5 stars because it works as well as it could. I planned on getting a 3070 but we all know how that went. Therefore I went for the 1660s because it can play games well even if it's not the greatest. Best Buy also had this card for a very cheap price. Like $150 cheaper than other places. Some fps counts. Gta V: 100-110 on medium/high. Cyberpunk: 60-70 medium. Rocket League: 144-200 Highest. COD Cold War: 100-120 medium/high.Dec 18, 2020 16:10
I decided to upgrade to this card from an ASUS strix 1050 Ti 4GB
I wasn't sure if it was gonna be worth it on my older system due to reviews online or you-tubers saying i will lose FPS, my CPU will bottleneck but it does work and it works well above my expectations. no stutters either! surprisingly!
I could play all the new games with my older card at 1080p HD at 40-60fps. but with this card, i can get surprisingly 80-90 fps on call of duty modern warfare, 110-140 fps on CS:GO on high/ultra settings with no stutters which is not bad considering my i5 6400 only has 4 cores & 4 threads. I can also get 40-50 fps on 4K setting (3840x2160) resolution but i'll rather just play on 1080p HD at (1920x1080) for now. of course streaming while gaming or VR wouldn't work with my setup. but i am pretty sure this card is VR ready.
and i was gonna go for a ryzen 7 3700x upgrade but after trying this out on my current setup why spend more money? i will just upgrade when i really have to or when money allows it. but for now, this works.
I also included pictures of my bench mark tests for those that are skeptical and no! my i5 isn't overclocked. i can't anyway. it's a regular 6400 and a none K. intel also put a stop to overclocking non k on Z170 mobos.
with that said, i almost forgot. you can also turn on RAY-TRACING on with this card (directX 12) and this requires a power supply at least 450W that has an 8-pin PCI connector for those who are new to pc building.
my budget PC specs are:
- i5 6400 air-cooled with an evo 212
- 32GB DDR4 2133MHZ
- MSI gtx 1660 super 6GB
- 650 watts PSU (corsair CX)

Experience next-generation gaming packed with stunning visuals with this EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. The 6GB 192-bit of GDDR6 memory keep up with the high-bandwidth requirement of the latest demanding titles, while NVIDIA Turing architecture ensures enhanced realism. This EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card features an all-metal backplate that keeps it protected by absorbing heat.
Best bang for your dollar! I purchased this gpu for my first pc build and absolutely love it. I play mostly AAA games, some indie and even VR. I think you'll enjoy this card too. I will note, I don't run 4k for gaming though.. I don't have a 4k monitor.Apr 15, 2021 14:54
For 300 it's been working pretty darn good. If you can get your hands on a 3000 series card then Def spring for it as the FPS is a hugeee difference. But you can step up through EVGA just don't expect it to be for the next six plus months. I did a much more in depth review but best buy decided to not approve it. Sweet.Feb 08, 2021 23:28
Solid performer. Upgraded from an EVGA GTX 970, and the card runs cooler and faster than my 970 by a strong margin. Utilizing EVGA’s program to upgrade to a 3060ti or 3070 within the next couple of months. Definitely something to look into since zero new cards are available.Jan 17, 2021 20:20
This is a great graphics card for 1080p gaming at 60 hz but no moreDec 11, 2020 19:41
Given the current market for gpus as of 2/5/2021....I was happy to get this for under 300 lolFeb 05, 2021 17:56
Best 1080p card for your money. Has some ray tracing support in certain games. In shadow of the tomb raider used ray tracing no problem but in the new call of duty games they crash so keep that in mind. This card comes overclocked but there is still room to push it a little further. Great card for the price if you're looking to stay at 1080p for a while.Nov 28, 2020 02:48
Excellent graphics for an entry-level gaming pc, it looks and looks pretty quality.
In esport games it performs quite well, more than 200FPS (CSGO, Fortnite, Valorant). But in AAA games it only gives 60FPS in ultra graphics, it is still very good graphics.Jan 11, 2021 05:15
This card is a literal BEAST when it comes to 1080p gaming on high-ultra settings! I bought this card to use in the pc I built for my sister and she LOVES it. I ended up painting the gpu shroud and vinyl wrapping the backplate to match the build and I think it turned out nice. It packs a lot of punch for such a small size! This played Assassins' Creed Valhalla on ultra settings with around 60fps on a 1920x1080p monitor. She absolutely loves it. This card will play any triple A title easily on high settings. I even tested it out on The Forest on my 1440p monitor and on ultra settings it was getting 70+fps. I paired this with a Ryzen 5 2600 in the darkflash DLM21 mATX case and the temps are glorious. At full load the card is around 60 and the cpu is sitting pretty at around 45-50. If you are looking for a good mid/high-tier gpu for a great price, this is the one.Dec 07, 2020 10:32
Upgrade your current gaming rig with this iBUYPOWER Desktop. It’s 16GB of RAM and Intel i7-11700F processor let you run multiple programs at once, and its NVIDIA GTX 1660Ti renders fast-paced action smoothly without screen tearing. This iBUYPOWER desktop also has a 480GB solid state drive and 1TB hard drive for saving your favorite games.
My first impression was that the box was beat up. Can't help that the carries or rough with the handling aspect. I've inspected the tower. All components were what they said they were in the description. I wish an m.2 was included in with that heafty price tag. In addition, I personally want this pc to last me for quite some time. I need something that is dependable, runs and multitask at a good performance level. So, I made some upgrades right out of the box. Removed the deep cool air coolant that came with it. Replaced it with an RGB Artic Freeze ii 360 aio water cooler. Also added another 16gb of ram making it 32gb ram. Computer performances and runs very quite inside the temper glass. Glad I was able to purchase this. As this is a good investment for my field.Oct 31, 2021 00:36
So far everything is working great. I have a easy time starting it up. It looks amazing.Nov 03, 2021 17:02
Was very excited about first gaming pc. Got a brand new monitor to go with it and guess what it turns on and keeps saying to install windows. This build is supposed to come with windows preinstalled. We took it to Best Buy and they said the pc has a software issue and we either have them fix it (cost money) or have them replace it (free) so we said replace. It will take 10 days apparently for replacement to arrive kinda really upset about this /: maybe I’ll write a good review when I can actually use this pc…..Nov 08, 2021 13:03
The gpu stopped working properly after the first week. At first I would get pink lines across the screen and the device would have a message "error code 43 device disabled because it has encountered problems." I would disable and reenable, or uninstall and reinstall and the problem would seem to go away for a while. Now the computer just crashes immediately after powering on.Nov 07, 2021 08:27
So far, PC is great. It was shipped in one day. Very easy to set-up. Interior was well secured ensuring no components shifted.
Easy to upgrade with top of the line processor. Full size case has plenty of room to work and add RAM, new graphics card etc. I don't see a need to do that for me in the near future.
Came with keyboard and mouse. Not the most expensive PC but it is playing SWTOR on ULTRA graphics with no issues. Load times when shifting between environments on game are quick. On my old PC, the graphics card took forever to load the new environment on medium and lower resolution. Very quiet with four built in fans. Had it less than a week but happy so far. This is my 3rd IBUYPOWER PC. I bought my son a more expensive one last year for his birthday. He loves that one too. Only con so far is with the two display ports --- only one is HDMI; the other is DVI so I need a converter to hook up my 2nd monitor.Oct 25, 2021 17:00
Solid system so far. The temps of the cpu and the gpu seem to stay in decent ranges
and don't rise too high when idle like so of the prebuilt I have read about do. During gaming, these temps also stay in good ranges with the settings on high for Doom Eternal and ultra settings on Forza Horizon 4. I will test more, but as of right now I'm very happy with it. Would def recommend this to a friendOct 02, 2021 23:17
Great PC. Everything seems to be working fine. I did not have any problems setting up, it was actually very easy and fast. The only issue I had was that I discovered a wire by the the power supply unit tucked in that was disconnected. It did not seem to be connected anywhere as I looked around and could not find a place to connect it to. I continued on and it did not appear not to affect the set up process. I have reached out to the company and currently waiting for a response.Oct 16, 2021 22:58
This is my first gaming PC and I have to say I'm above and beyond impressed with the overall quality, and value of this machine. I'm able to run any game I please, and surf the web with lightning speed. 10/10 would recommend to a friendOct 13, 2021 23:39
Dell G5 Desktop: Dominate the battlefield with this Dell G5 desktop computer. The Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM deliver solid power for running modern titles smoothly, while the 256GB SSD plus 1TB SATA disk drive offers ample storage for games and high performance. This Dell G5 desktop computer has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER graphics card for high-quality visuals and total immersion in your favorite RPG or FPS titles.
I wanted something fast enough for my job, now that we work from home and it handles very well with the virtual desktop programs. Very quiet, love the light options on the Alienware center, can’t say about the gaming because I don’t intend on using it that way? But I’m sure it can run most games just fine. Just be mindful that it does only bring one HDMI PORT in the back and a DisplayPort...so if you want dual monitors like what I have set up, you will need a splitter. Other than that it’s pretty much plug and play, the instructions aren’t very descriptive just because there isn’t much set up. You just plug it in and it starts up, you put in your Microsoft info and there ya go....ready to use.Feb 05, 2021 01:31
Really great computer for gaming or general use.
Playing games on it is amazing! Dell just earned a new loyal customer.Nov 20, 2020 12:36
With how much controversy I’ve heard regarding the overheating issues I was hesitant to get this desktop but I decided to pull the trigger anyways. Relatively small desktop. After spending a few weeks with it I’m pretty happy with what this desktop offers. I have never personally had any issues with overheating to this point, the most intensive game I play is warzone and gpu plateaus at a solid 75 degree Celsius (take that as you will). Now if you do choose to improve the airflow (only comes with two fans, one of them being cpu cooler) it’s a fairly simple process but not a modification i found necessary to make at the time of writing this. Extremely easy to set up. With the current set up this desktop should be able to run a good majority of games at 80+ fps. Only modification I would make is the ram of course, after I got 16 gb of ram I get around 90 fps on Warzone (mix of high and low settings) I get around 200 fps on rainbow six siege (highest settings) and 120 fps on Destiny 2 (highest settings). Only legitimate bad thing about this PC is the fact that some key components are proprietary, power supply and motherboard. Good thing is that this model has 500 psu so it should last a bit. Given the current situation with the shortage of graphics cards this is a good starting point for a PC. Frames were achieved on 1080p. ***making it clear that this model comes with 8 GB of ram and the picture i uploaded has the new ram (2 x 8) not included with the PC.Jun 21, 2021 18:57
Although I'm new to PC gaming initially I was looking to build a PC rather than buying one. But with the current market on parts I decided it would be best to just buy a pre-built. I was a bit anxious on choosing which one to buy but I am glad I went with the dell. So far its been a great pc, running Forza, Valorant, GTA (modded servers), and even while streaming it proves to be a great PC well out performing my ps4 pro. Anyone that claims it overheats has to be sitting in a room that's already 80 degrees. I have played for 5-6 hours straight and both the cpu and gpu sit under 70 degrees. The Alienware app, and GeForce app easily walk you through settings and what you can run your games at. I really recommend this PC, especially if you're new to gaming.Apr 05, 2021 09:51
I purchased the Ibuypower prebuilt PC beforehand because it was cheaper and it was dissapointing when I turned it on and didn't see the load screen. I took it back and got the G5 that I really wanted for an additional $170 bucks. I realized it was all worth it when I saw an actual load screen. The whole family loves it and utilizes the computer. We play games like Roblox,Sims, DCS flight simulation and my favorite, the series of Half-life. Enjoy your G5 gaming PC.Jan 19, 2021 09:35
I use mine for video production, and my gaming needs are pretty minimal. I expanded the RAM to 32 GB and installed a 6 TB hard drive as soon as I set it up. Remember is that this computer can only accommodate one additional 3.5 inch drive, so anything else must be 2.5 inch format. I am glad to have the security of a Dell. I only rely on Dell and HP, as I expect them to be conservatively engineered.Feb 26, 2021 15:59
I had to buy a new computer for my son this year for his online schooling and this was a great purchase for the price. Bought in July and now it is December and not an issue with it.Nov 19, 2021 12:06
Great for gaming. My son loves everything about it. There's also space to add extra stuff to make the pc faster, more storage and better. He is extremely happySep 24, 2021 21:49

I bought this for my 12 year son for Christmas but I already set it up for him. The pc came well packaged to protect the outside but I had to open it up and put back in one of the drives as it had fallen out. Other than that, the PC is super fast! It literally restarts in 5 seconds! My son is new to the PC gaming world (until now he just used his Xbox) and he pretty much everyday says how wonderful it is. Now, if only that sentiments translated into him not leaving his trash all over and practicing proper hygiene that would be awesome!Dec 10, 2020 13:03
Purchased over a year ago mainly for Photo/Video editing and this Rig handles my tasks like a pro. Never had a single issue with this in a whole year or usage. I recently started gaming more frequently 4-5 hours and I can game easily on 1080p without any lag at all. I upgraded the RAM 32GB and installed a coolmaster air cooler. I have zero regrets with this unit!Nov 06, 2021 22:20
This is my first PC so it was hard for me to decide the best fit for me since I was going from the Xbox to this absolute monster of a challenge of constantly looking up specs, reviews, performance, and the best price. I was also anxious as to wether wait for Black Friday for some deals, but when I saw this and how scarce it was I knew I had to get it. It took me going to a Best Buy about 30 minutes away and I don’t regret a single thing. The monster specs and hardware are amazing. For instance, I played Arma 3 on ultra settings and got a solid 40 FPS and no stuttering as well. If you want a beast of machine that can handle what seems to be any game get this absolute troop. Only problem I had was the memory was not in the optimized positions, but that was easy to fix which required only moving it one over so it wasn’t really a problem.Nov 02, 2020 22:59
I just Purchased this amazing Gaming desktop yesterday.I must say that I was highly impressed with my purchase. Not only does it run games like Fallout 4 on Ultra with zero lag,Minecraft With Seus Shaders Renewed with over 150+ FPS,GTA 5 on High with some mods.I Highly Recommend this to someone who is looking to have great value gaming desktop. One slight Issue I however was the caution sticker itself on the glass.I would of Preferred if it was on the peel off plastic.Nothing just a quick wet wipe couldnt fix.Oct 13, 2020 17:23
Very solid computer overall for my family. We used to have an OptiPlex 7010 for a long time now and we wanted to upgrade to a better computer that can help the family with their needs. This device can deliver great speeds, gaming, and its performance when it comes to anything including pictures and other heavy demanding items. Highly recommend this.Jan 13, 2021 12:11
I've had this PC for about a week now and I have to say it's very good for it's price. I really like the RGB lighting and it's design. It's been running smoothly on max graphics for GTA IV and Euro Truck Simulator 2 giving me an average of 70 FPS for GTA and 140 FPS for ETS2. The only problem I've had was that the windows wasn't activated after I've connected it to the internet saying that the product key is invalid. If you run into this problem, just click on troubleshoot button. Another worry I had was that couple of cables were disconnected even though the PC was working perfectly, so I've just left them alone. Mouse that came in with the PC is great but I haven't seen worse keyboard before. The buttons are really hard to press on.Dec 06, 2020 13:50
Finally made the switch from console to pc and I buy power is definitely a good place to get started especially if your like me and have no idea how to build a pc and with pc parts being so hard to buy and more expensive right now. I got the iBUYPOWER - Trace MR Gaming Desktop - Intel i7-10700F - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti 6GB - 480GB SSD + 1TB HDD from Best Buy and I’ve had no issues with any games and get over 100fps in all the games I play. I play games like rainbow six, rust, apex legends, warzone, and escape from tarkov with no issues. I have a 144hz monitor that can over lock to 165hz and I easily get around that many frames if not more in most games. Runs smoothly with everyday tasks and runs games perfectly even when watching YouTube or streaming movies to my second monitor. Switching from console to pc is definitely worth it and I highly recommend at least looking into I buy power PCs. And make sure to get a higher refresh rate monitor to take advantage of your pc. Switching from 60 to 144hz is a huge difference and way smoother and you will never look at 60 FPS gaming the same again.Apr 14, 2021 20:29
Great computer have no problems very fast looks cool can’t complain it’s doing what I need for a prebuiltOct 16, 2020 15:33

I was debating to buy this machine for a while and I am glad I pulled the trigger. I have been struggling with my gaming laptop for a while running my games in low setting with the "I dont need to have the setting in high to enjoy the game". Oh boy, I was wrong!!! This machine has been able to tackle everythingIi have put it through so far.
Oh and I was not a fan of the latest craze for the RGB leds....now I love them. So relaxing to see them gently changing while illuminating my room.
The one thing is that the machine didnt come with the RGB s/w. The one on the IBUYPOWER webpage didnt work. I downloaded it directly from the Gigabyte website (compatible with my MB) and it work right away. Not a big deal ;-)Jun 23, 2021 19:05
So glad I waited for this PC. The most powerful and quiet PC I’ve ever owned. Apps and programs pop up effortlessly with speedy rendering. A very no-hassle, attractive and intuitive machine which continues to pleasantly surprise me. I’ve only scratched the surface with the few projects I’ve been working on and I can’t wait to see what else this baby will do!May 20, 2021 23:21
Very nice pc doesnt overheat i have had it for 4 months just clean it monthly ALSO people wondering on fortnite it runs about 360 fps on alpha performace modeAug 16, 2021 14:19
Awesome PC. Good starter easy to upgrade. %100 from me.May 28, 2021 14:45
This is my first gaming PC it works really well. I've had it for about two months now and I personally really do enjoy it. I still haven't taken the time to learn how to change the lights but it honestly doesn't bother me what color they are.Aug 13, 2021 02:10
I am a beginner gamer and I went to Best Buy to look for PC that was great for someone like me And a sales associate told me about IBUYPOWER so I decided to test it out and let me tell you it did not disappoint really content with my decision! I’m enjoying my Slate MR !Sep 20, 2021 19:12
Best PC tower ever, can do my business search different sites plus play once and a whileJul 05, 2021 02:57
I got mine from May 13. So far it’s running good on games (Valorant, Phasmophobia, Resident Evil, GTA).
But for some reason, all of the fans stopped rotating whenever I turned on the desktop??? I am pretty sure this is not how its supposed to be.May 25, 2021 15:27
Customize your gaming PC with this PNY GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER gaming graphics card. The 6GB of GDDR5 RAM deliver fast, responsive performance, while the PCIe 3.0 interface fits a number of motherboards. This PNY GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER gaming graphics card has HDMI, DVI-D and DisplayPort outputs that let you connect to multiple monitors for advanced gameplay.
So this card actually worked with zero conflicts. My previous card was an AMD R9 380. I purchased the AMD RX560 and it rebooted and froze at random. The NVIDIA 1660 Super has zero random reboots or freezes and is much faster. Absolutely recommend this card!Jul 10, 2020 16:17
This small form factor 1660super is a champ. I use it for mining ETHEREUM and for 76 watts it hashes 31.81 all day long. It runs cool with the large single fan. This card has to have the memory underclocked by -502 in order to hash this high. I guess it stabilized and tightened the memory timings. 4month ROIApr 04, 2021 10:23
The video card is of excellent quality has a beautiful heatsink with a unique fan of large dimensions and therefore very quiet! being an 1660 @ 6gb ram it works flawlessly on high settings with Cyberpunk2007 and Mortal Kombat 11
It doesn't come with a cd for drivers or updates but you can download from Nvidia's Geforce website. I've had for just 2 months now and no complaints as it works perfectly almost like 2080 card.Dec 21, 2020 19:38
These are excellent GPUs for mining - I am able to get 31.85MH/s @ 74W power on these cards. Very efficient for mining for now and in the future post EIP1559. A 6 x PNY 1660 Super is taking a total of 486W at the wall.Mar 19, 2021 20:07
1660 super is a very good card but the price is insane, I remember this being around $200 or less before 2021 but it’s good for 1080p gaming and size of gpu very small so it will fit almost any case which is goodSep 03, 2021 15:42
Is a decent card for playing at 1080p at close to 60 fps on high settings. This particular card is loud and doesn't cool very well out of the box. Expect gam noise and rattling noises under load. After insulating the plastic shroud with foam tape and applying some better thermal paste, it works much better.Sep 16, 2021 12:33
Pretty good graphics card for the money, especially right now with the current shortage of gpus. I mainly play Call of Duty: Warzone and consistently get 144+ fps on high settings. If you're looking to play on a 1080p monitor, this card isn't bad.Mar 19, 2021 17:22
I put this card into a gaming system, and I'm running benchmarks in Direct-X 9, 10, 11, 12 at around 90% Worldwide using Passmark benching software. I am using EVGA's OC software with no problems at all. Low temps accelerated high-end graphics @ 3840 X 2160, Antialiasing X 4, Anisotropic X 16. Excellent card!Aug 15, 2020 14:21
Game seamlessly with this GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER OC graphics card. The DisplayPort and HDMI ports allow connection to multiple displays for an immersive gaming experience, while the 6GB of GDDR6 RAM deliver smooth performance. This GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER OC graphics card has a WINDFORCE 2X cooling system for effective heat management.
I bought this item for my gaming PC, which I wanted to keep under a budget of $1000. I mainly play Counter-Strike GO and this has been an absolute delight for money spent! I was able to build my pc with amazing specs and really impressed with the performance.
Great buy!Dec 07, 2020 10:42
Great value for the performance. Only gtx card that has raytracing. And its ddr6 so its up to date with the rtx line. Runs games like a champ on 1080p with competitive settings. Handles 2k and 4k gaming with fps drop of course. But it will do 2k and 4k gaming. Getting around 40-60 fps in 2k and 4k settings. 90-110fps on 1080p settings. The Gpu fits perfectly in my micro atx build case. Stays very cool and I am running it on my ryzen 9 3900x.
For reference, it was on my i9 9900k and it ran fast and cool.
Also bought it open box so saved a bit more gbacks.
Overall very satisfied with this purchase.Dec 13, 2020 11:42
Happy with it running games like young shroud lets gooooSep 26, 2020 03:12
I use it on my kids pc and the fan barely turns on when playing video games.Sep 25, 2020 23:16
Good.......................................................................................!Aug 14, 2020 16:51
Purchased graphics card Open Box, was to be used in a client system - card was clearly not checked properly by best buy: displays artifacts at 2D clocks (windows desktop, shows black squares all over the place)
Since i didn't get a chance to check within return window, so will need to contact MFG for RMA.Jul 25, 2021 00:46
I didn't break the card when trying to install it, so it at least is pretty durable. The backplate is nice. The fans barely turn on even playing Doom or Mount and Blade Bannerlord. They rev when I start a game but then shut off. It idles at 47C for me and goes to about 60 max. I use a 1080p 60 Hz monitor so my goal was to get a card that could reliably manage that performance and match up without a bottleneck with a Ryzen 3. I work from home so I wanted a low power draw when it's on very low use. It works.Dec 06, 2020 23:05
Great performance at a great value. Used on my first gaming PC build and very satisfied.Apr 23, 2021 12:33
It’s gaming love at first sight. The OMEN 25L Desktop PC has got the looks and can back it up. With the powerful Intel® processor and NVIDIA® graphics, you can play day one. And with being easy to upgrade and OMEN Gaming Hub, it’s crafted for the long term.
Absolutely love this PC! Have had it for little under a month now, and it runs absolutely smooth! Mostly use it to play Red Dead Redemption 2, (pretty hefty game to run) and runs phenomenal considering the graphics card is a bit dated. Even other strenuous game run amazing. Outside of gaming, it’s a great desktop for working. Only downside is it tends to run a bit too hot, but very easily upgradable to fit your needs. Highly recommend!Sep 06, 2021 06:28
great pc for gaming my rendering stuff and music i’m satisfied with my purchaseAug 20, 2021 16:07
I replace the fans with noctua fans not even a week of having the pc. Its been 3 months now and I would say replacing the fans the best thing for this pc.Oct 09, 2021 16:14
I am enjoying the Omen more than anticipated. Over the past four days or so I have loaded and tested around 25 different game titles and every single one of them, with the exception of Cyberpunk, ran perfectly on max settings. As far as Cyberpunk goes, it was a mixture of a few low settings with a majority mid-level settings and a few that were bumped up a notch...and it ran and looked great. I was probably utilising about 60 to 65 percent of the game's ambitious capabilities. Needless to say I was thrilled because I'm still playing it in having a blast even though I didn't think it was going to be that successful. The only other thing I have to say about the Omen is that it's definitely a very elegant and professional looking machine. I mean the Omen looks like it came to the party in a three-piece-suit while everybody else wore their Big Johnson T-shirt. It's just too much with all the crazy L.E.D.S that i see on machines. The Omen got it right with the lighting. Very tasteful. I totally recommend this HP.
MatthewMay 17, 2021 05:16
Runs very nice for a prebuilt computer, especially at its price. The casing has plenty of room for upgrading, and it’s very quiet for the most part when it runs. I haven’t had an issue with heat at all yet, but I haven’t played or done anything too intensive either yet. Very easy to set up, open, and customize with the Omen program. I’d recommend a hard drive or ssd to address the smaller storage space this model offers, and I also added another 8gb of ram too. Nearly all Xbox game pass games i’ve played with it run at perfect 60fps (and higher if fps can be uncapped in game) with basically all max settings. Vanilla Minecraft will run 400fps+ with nearly all high settings once the world has loaded in. Splitgate runs 120fps+ at max settings. I haven’t tried warzone, but I expect at least 60fps on medium to high settings. You can probably find a better priced prebuilt computer with much better specs for a few hundred extra dollars, but I’ve found this desktop to be quite reliable and performs better than I probably will ever need for nearly every game I’d like to play at the moment. If you don’t mind upgrading later, or care for those new 3090 speeds at the moment; this is a good choice. I have also found videos online/youtube in case you want to rehouse your parts into a different case or upgrade the graphics card, etc. I’d say this is definitely an acceptable and nice looking prebuilt for the current market.Aug 13, 2021 20:36
This is such a great build. Easy to use, the color settings make it fun, and runs like a dream. Every game I've tried has run smoothly and normal web browsing/media stream is fast and high quality.Sep 17, 2021 18:23
9/10 would recommend. This isn’t the highest end gaming pc, however if you’re new to gaming this is a perfect pc for you. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks now and have had no problems with it. I run games like valorant at around 200fps on max settings. The one and only complaint I have about this pc is the cooling isn’t the best. After 6 hours of playing I did notice it did start to get a little warm. If you play for very extended periods of time, the 2 fans it comes with will not be able to keep up with the hot computer parts. Other than that this pc is definitely worth it.Aug 05, 2021 14:39
So far this pc is the best.. I’ve had no problems with it and it gives very good FPS in games I would just recommend adding another 8Gb of DDR4 RAM ti make this pc faster!May 21, 2021 00:23
HP OMEN Gaming Laptop: Experience classic gameplay with this 15.6-inch HP OMEN gaming laptop. The AMD Ryzen 7 processor and 8GB of RAM enhance performance for gaming, while the NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti graphics card delivers lag-free streaming. This HP OMEN gaming laptop has a 512GB SSD for ample storage and quick access to files and DTS:X technology for accurate 3-D sound.
I’m switching back from Mac after 10+ years. I just don’t think there is good value in quality, options or upgradeability in macbooks anymore, and don’t like the fact that they’re going ARM.
I was looking for a device that is fast and upgradeable.
I also wanted ports. HDMI, USB, etc.
The ryzen 4k mobile series cpus are no joke.
The design of this device is very modern. GPU is fast enough for the occasional game at 1080p. You can upgrade the RAM, replace the storage or add a second SSD. No need to carry any dongles. I was a little bit hesitant about how noisy it could be, but during light work it goes pretty quiet. Physically, the bottom half seems pretty sturdy. The lid is a little bit flimsy for my taste, maybe I could take off half star.
The intel equivalent of a laptop this powerful would set you back an extra $200 or more. A MacBook would be at least double the price.
In summary, this is a great workstation/gaming laptop for the price. If you don’t need powerful 3d graphics, maybe the X360, Dell Inspiron or Lenovo ideapad with 4500U/4700U CPU would be a better fit. I would stay away from Intel until they release Tiger-Lake cpu series...Aug 08, 2020 08:56
Definitely worth the purchase. It is claimed to a budget gaming laptop, but it definitely doesn't belong in that category when it comes to it's performance. It runs all games I want at pretty good graphics, including, but not limited to Ark survival evolved, which is known to be tough to run on most desktops let alone a laptop. It has very minimal flaws, one being the brightness. It doesn't go too high, at about 300 nits, it's battery will last abt 5 hours with regular use, which is pretty common for gaming laptops, and the top of the laptop somewhat attracts fingerprints, it's not too bad tho, and can easily be wiped off with just your hand, you don't really need a rag or cloth, but it would be easier with one. Mine has an AMD Ryzen 7 4800H processor with Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660ti graphics.Jan 04, 2021 14:39
This laptop is a really great option, as long as you buy it at sale, (I bought it for $849). The ryzen 7 4800h processor performs great and is really efficient, in my opinion, it is better than an intel counterpart. Although the 1660ti isn't the fastest card, it still performs great and delivers a 60+fps in most games in high details. Keyboard is great, as well as the trackpad, one drawback is that the fans are very loud, also the screen is on the sort of flimsy side. Overall I think it's a pretty solid device that I recommendDec 21, 2020 15:54
I like my HP Omen, had a little hiccup, but it was fixed right away. I love the speed of the computer and look forward to testing it out. I normally buy a dual sided keyboard but am acclimating myself with the main keyboard. I like the touch of the keys and am please with the actual size of the laptop. I would reccommend the Omen HP Gaming app to those who need a laptop with lots of memory.May 21, 2021 15:29
Love this laptop, feels nice, ergonomics good. Battery life kinda poor. Kinda heavy but thats to be expectedDec 18, 2020 10:49
this laptop is very good in my opinion and if your new into pc gaming your going to love this computer (only on sale)
the only bad thing i have to say about it is that the ram isn't enough for big game like call of duty or apex legends but it can get the job done with at least 90 fpsJan 11, 2021 09:41
It's a great laptop with excellent graphics and super fast processor. It's my first gaming laptop and honestly I can't complain. Great design, perfect size and reasonable pricing. Not to mention it came with a credit for Assassins' Creed Valhalla!Jan 15, 2021 20:33
Beautiful laptop I can play gears 5 with no problems runs super smooth as well. Mines did come with a smudge on touch pad though.Dec 05, 2020 10:04
Engineered out of a passion for savage power and unmatched speed, the Lenovo™ Legion Tower 5i delivers mind-blowing performance that combines 11th Generation Intel® Core™ processors and top-of-the-line NVIDIA® GeForce® graphics cards for blazing-fast frame rates at up to 4K resolution. Pushing far beyond the upper bounds of smaller rig configurations while keeping things cool and whisper quiet, the Legion Tower 5i is a marvel of build and design, accentuated by its illuminated blue LED logo and lighting, as well a transparent side panel that can properly showcase your internals.
The pc went pretty good in the beginning and still does but the two problem i have with it is the fact that it has 1 stick of ram but its fine cause i replaced it with a better one, and the fact it had a blue screen of death twice but never after, and I have never found out why but it still works like a charm.Sep 17, 2021 19:50
First off I must say for the price point it is hands down the best value on the market during these times. The value is in the graphics card alone. On top of that the desktop that Lenovo put together her in their Legion series has everything about it for customization and upgrading with ease. They allow you to start strong and have options to do what you want where most manufacturers don’t. It’s like here’s our already amazing system but you have the options to spice it up if you want. No issues, great in every component. Advise you to change out the RAM first to add more juice there. After that feel free to add an unlocked core if wanted or even swap a graphics cards.Aug 06, 2021 15:29
honestly the 1660 super gtx series is really underrated and mostly because of the new cards [30 series] that were available earlier this summer. aside from that i got the legion i5 with 8gb of ram [recommend to upgrade to 16gb or higher] gtx 1660 super oc edition single fan, and overall really love this system.
it was really easy to set up it runs games really fast and smoothly I grab apex at 85 lows and 125fps-200fps at mid settings the cooler it comes with is great [also recommend to upgrade to a cooler master series]
with the minor upgrades the system will perform at its peak with no problems and I've had it for about a little over a month now and never has it disappointed this is the real bang for your buck system without compromising any features.Sep 15, 2021 01:00
The pc has been running great with every game, etc I've tried but attempting to troubleshoot some issues with the pc has been a hassle. Customer service is not terrible but every representative you talk to is likely helping multiple others at the same time so you will be left in the dark at times until they are free to reply.
I've also been trying to figure out what parts, etc this pc has which was easy up until today as they've redone the website and now I can't find any information on my pc. I bookmarked this tab that took me right to all the information regarding this pcs hardware and the components you can switch out but now that URL takes me to a search and even when I found my pc the layout makes it impossible to find everything I'm looking for and now somethings are not even in English????? Please fix the support websiteJul 17, 2021 16:53
This Lenovo PC is a great 1080p gaming computer with good value for the price. With the cost of GPU’s today it’s hard to find a decent gaming pc with a good processor and GTX 1660 for under $1000. It has built in customizable RGB fans and case lighting. There are 2 120mm fans on the front of the case and one 120mm exhaust on the rear. The top of the case is mesh to allow for hot air to vent out.
It can be easily upgraded. The power supply is standard size if you want to upgrade from the 400 watt gold 80 plus psu to something bigger and the case has enough room for a 20 or even 30 series graphics card. If you want to add more ram there are 4 slots.
If you upgrade the ram you have to use the Lenovo branded sticks to get full speed. If you replace with another brand they will still work but there is no way to set the clock speed in the BIOS. So be aware of that. I would upgrade the ram from the manufacturer unless you are fine with adding more ram limited to a clock speed of 2133mhz for DDR4. Otherwise search for the same part number or buy more ram from Lenovo to get higher speeds.
All in all it’s a good value with a decent build quality and system cooling. It looks nice and is fairly easy to upgrade. You won’t be playing the newest titles on Ultra or High settings but you can get decent frame rates on Medium settings for 1080p gaming.Aug 12, 2021 14:48
I bought this computer for my son, who is an avid gamer. He loves it. it will be great when he returns to school and has homework he has to do. It's very fast and the graphics are amazing because he has a matching gaming monitor as well. It took no time to set up and get him started using it.Jul 24, 2021 11:55
Good pc I run 100 avg fps on warzone and it everything else runs smoothly, but consider upgrading ram.Jul 16, 2021 15:03
Got this for my daughter who uses it for some gaming and streaming as as a novice, this system works great. I was able to replace the SSD drive with a bigger SSD pretty easily and it could do with more Memory but for the price, great system.Sep 21, 2021 16:38
Dell G5 Desktop: Dominate the battlefield with this Dell G5 desktop computer. The Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM deliver solid power for running modern titles smoothly, while the 1TB SSD offers ample storage for games and high performance. This Dell G5 desktop computer has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card for high-quality visuals and total immersion in your favorite RPG or FPS titles.
Powerful gaming PC. Easy to use, plug and play. No lagging on games. Nice display colors. Good value for the prebuilt PC.Jul 24, 2021 17:02
We are loving the PC. I am always nervous on big ticket items but this was priced right. So far it has been a hit for everything we've asked of it. Gaming on the PC is great and my son loves it. We looked at a few but this one was the right choice for sure. I will look to Best Buy for future purchases as well.Jan 15, 2021 18:27
Purchased this as a gift for my WOW playing mother...she's so happy.Nov 06, 2020 16:54
This has been a great desktop so far! Fast and perfect for a middle schooler.Oct 23, 2021 16:05
Overall pc is nice runs great but the power supply is specially made to fit in this case. You would have to replace case to upgrade power and the power supply is limited, as well as having aother board with proprietary power connection, so if doing a GPU upgrade will probably need to replace the power supply, case, and motherboard. So very little to no upgrade abolityFeb 15, 2021 13:27
Good fast unit not pleased with the Windows 10 program, also wish it had a place to install an optical drive.Aug 01, 2021 06:39
This PC does everything I need it to do. One thing that was particularly impressive was that the tower was a lot smaller than my previous desktop which made it a lot easier to maneuver it around in the tight space that I had to place it.May 01, 2021 15:16
This computer exceeds my expectation after purchasing from BB and having the Geek Squad set it up. Fast and loving it.Jul 19, 2021 12:05
Play your favorite games with this GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 OC 6G gaming graphics card. The 6GB of GDDR5 RAM help create realistic visuals, while the NVIDIA Turing architecture reduces tearing and stuttering for smooth gameplay. This GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 OC 6G gaming graphics card has a WINDFORCE 2X cooling system that ensures steady airflow during gaming.
I needed a graphics card for my son’s gaming pc build, so I went to http://www.pcgamebenchmark.com to compare GCU’s. It just so happened that the GTX1660 OC met the recommended specs for the games he plays: COD Cold War, APEX Legends, Rust, CS GO, Valorant and Rainbow 6 Seige. And the price didn’t break the bank.Nov 06, 2020 16:03
if you are looking for a graphics card that can run almost any game on ultra settings at 60 fps then this is the one. This graphics card is very good and does not overheat. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the bad Best Buy shipping but the graphics card itself is very solid for the price!Jul 26, 2020 17:33

It’s good for gamingDec 18, 2020 02:49

High end gaming is a breeze with the Lenovio Legion 5. Cyberpunk 2077, HL Alyx, Tin Shift & Days Gone all run perfect on the highest settings and set up was a breeze.
*I added an Elgato 4k60Pro and a total of 32GB Ram.Nov 04, 2021 20:02
Solid gaming PC for the price especially for beginners. Admittedly I am new to PC’s and found this very easy to use and setup!
The case is very nice as well, great airflow and the LEDs are a nice touch as well.
I put a Gundam in mine.Sep 30, 2021 00:45
This computer is REALLY GOOD! People had concerns about it not turning on so I was a little skeptical, but I took the risk and got it, and WOW. It runs every game really well. It runs Half Life: Alyx well, Cyberpunk 2077 (Not tested but the recommended specs on Cyberpunk 2077 are the same as the minimum on Half Life: Alyx) well, Boneworks well, and Planet Coaster well! I may be so impressed because my old PC was Intel HD Graphics 630, 8 GB RAM, and Intel i-3. I hope I can try more games with it in the future. The storage is crazy, and it's pretty cheap for a prebuilt PC with a GeForce GPU and an AMD Ryzen CPU. I'd recommend this PC, really recommend.Aug 14, 2021 08:23
Came in hella fast with no problems whatsoever. Booted up the computer and it ran perfectly, genuinely happy with my purchase.Sep 30, 2021 23:03
Set it all up, went to turn on & it was a no go. Returned it. I did not even consider an exchange. If thats how it started I'm not trying to find out how it ends. No thanks.Sep 19, 2021 14:58

Good gaming laptop, it can plsy games fairly well. It gets hot though. It is a loud laptop fans wise. It can handle gaming and i was getting more than 60 fps on fortnite. In forza Horizon 4 it was over 100 fps i believe. I mean i like the feel of the laptop it feels sturdy. Recently i bought a Rog zephyrus g14 which i no longer have and it did have an rtx 3060 and a Ryzen9 5000 series but the build quality felt cheap.Oct 16, 2021 11:51

it costs much more than msrp, but unfortunately this is the market value. you can spent hours looking for a msrp drop, but that doesn't make sense when the minimum wage is like $15 in the bay area. If you spent more than 20hrs searching for a msrp one, you are actually spending more than just buy this one. If bestbuy gave this a lower price tag, I don't think there will be anything left for a carbon based buyer like me. Very good for my library of games. I played planet zoo all this weekend, the vram usage goes as high as 9.5G, I am glad to have a 12G card for 690 after tax. GTA V and RDR2 run much smoother than my previous RX580. The heat is manageable, fan speed never went over 90%, I play with my headphones on, so noise is not a concern for me. Overall nice little card. 300 more $ and at least one more happy weekend than not having it OR stressful looking for a msrp drop for weeks? I chose the former.Oct 19, 2021 12:31
Have not gamed on the GPU. The card's cooler defiantly seems rather cheap and the single fan can get fairly loud. The GPU also does not run very cool compared to cards with more fans. I am able to get 34-35 MH/s with Trex v0.24.2. Price is a bit steep, but in today's market it is nice to have a GPU in stock to buy. Better than paying a scalper probably.Nov 05, 2021 01:36
32-34 MH/s with t-rex. Overpriced... But Okay. Approx the same rate and power consumption as RX 6600 XT. Except 6600 xt is cheaper, but harder to get. Not the best deal, but works for me.Oct 21, 2021 00:24
Excellent card. Yes it is a little bit over priced but it is very small, runs cool, and paired with my i9 I can pull 90-120 frames in WZ in 2K with setting maxed. With the current situation and scalper prices I was very happy to get this card. The only downside I would say is the actual software from PNY. It looks and feels cheap. 12GB does let you push settings up without fear of using all your vram. The card runs cool 75 degrees max under full load. Wish it could integrate with MSI software. Great card for a reasonable price.Oct 19, 2021 18:13
I really wanted a 3060ti or a 3070 but I was only able to get my hands on this and I am very glad I did! This card is replacing a GTX 1060 so for me this is a very nice upgrade. The single fan is not overly loud or noticeable to me and under a full load the GPU temp is around 70-72 C. I am running Warzone at 2k with basically all high setting, DLSS set to balanced and getting 90-120fps and the card temp is usually mid 60's during actual gameplay (proper PC case venting helps too). Considering the current GPU situation, I am very happy with this card! The price could obviously be better but this price is still lower than other 3060's I have seen out there.Oct 31, 2021 20:43
The graphics card is very loud, and reaches 100% usage many times and don’t get me wrong, it’s good but the price should be lowered a good bit because I don’t know how much better it is than other cards since I upgraded to this from rx 570, yet that card never was that loud or got that hot. When playing games like Dark Deception it reaches 80 degrees celsius.Nov 01, 2021 10:25
The GPU is a great card. Is it overpriced for its performance. Yes. I was looking for either 3070 or 3060 stock, but in this era of chip shortage and GPUs, I'm very happy with the purchase.
A ran a benchmark of average 30fps 8K on my own custom built rig (i7 8th gen, 64gRam, SSD). A solid 60fps running on 4K. The ray tracing feature is a nice. In general, its performance is great. Single fan is quiet, even on the heaviest load during the benchmarking.
Just make sure to go to PNY's website and download to the latest driver. It wasn't immediately recognized, but once I updated the driver everything ran perfectly.Oct 23, 2021 14:37
Definitely overpriced but at this point it is what it is! It’s a 3060 so it’s a pretty decent single fan card and can pretty much take whatever you throw at it!!Oct 24, 2021 20:43

Great pc, bought it on sale for a good deal, perfect prebuild if your looking to do future upgrades, only thing I disliked about this build was it came with a 400w power supply replaced it with a 600w for future upgrades and headroomDec 24, 2020 14:59
I have been playing and practicing on it for about 3 weeks now and I am willing to say that this would be that best streaming/YouTube pc for the price if you aren’t willing to build you own. I plan on learning how to take out and put new pieces in this one so I can learn how to build a pc. Overall I would give this pc a 5/5 for a beginner pcJan 04, 2021 09:43
I had originally bought this for the stockmarket to do some day trading i needed something fast and that I could put alot of monitors on. But now just exploring this on a day to day basis it is part of my family.Jan 06, 2021 00:26
Awesome computer, fast and looks awesome powered on but you will have to turn on the lighting feature on the BIOS option before it shows up on your Lenovo Vantage app. Go to bios by holding the F12 and choosing the ENTER SETUP option. I spent 2 hours looking for this until I found the option in the BIOS, I don't know why Lenovo would make it so hard but its a minor problem that really shouldn't hurt my score. Would defiantly recommend to my friends.Nov 29, 2020 13:21
Just got it. Cant power on... no power cord in box, no mouse. Only the tower and keyboard came with this open box purchase. Ill buy brand new next time hopefully i can get a new cord for it..
If i can get a power cord and it boots up I will update review. Right now, I am thoroughly frustrated.Jun 25, 2021 15:56
I now have the processing power for my home studio to process music.Feb 19, 2021 16:12
If you do not plan on upgrading this PC $850 is a wonderful price point. I could not pass it up. The Ryzen 7 is a great processor for multi-tasking, and video editing. The 1660 Super is good for 1080p gaming as well as streaming with Nvida's NVENC. This is a really great combo in my opinion.
The motherboard is an OEM. I had upgraded the ram to 2x16gb kit, but the bios lack the capacity for me to use the full potential of my upgrade at 3200 MHz, instead capping me at 2400. Lenovo tech support could not even give me a list of compatible RAM that would run at 3200MHz on this machine. I'll give them a pass though. Tech Support was kind, and they don't always know everything.
The case is very premium. Very good airflow, it comes with 3 fans, and a very nice CPU cooler. I was not expecting this level of quality from a prebuilt.
Everything would have been 5/5 if I did not have the minor inconvenience of not being able to adjust the speed of my ram from the bios menu, and if the PSU on here was 650.
There was a question of whether or not this PC can be upgraded, yes it can, but the LED lights of the fans are controlled by Lenovo's software, which will not run on a non Lenovo machine. I'm not sure if upgrading the MoBo will disable control over the fans RGB or not.
As of Dec 16th 2020
Ryzen 7 3700x ... $320
Gtx 1660 Super 6GB .. $250
Ryzen compatible MoBo ... $70
A case as beautiful as this $100
CPU Cooler $35
400 W PSU ... $5
To have someone else build it $100
This is worth the value. I didn't even include the price of an SSD and HDD in that summary. If you know someone who wants to get into streaming or video editing, this may be a great gift for that person. This rig is good for playing Video Games too.
If you want to upgrade this PC in the future, you'll need a beefier PSU to run a 2080, or something newer. The motherboard would also need to be replaced to give you faster ram speeds unless there is a bios update in the future for this MoBo. Cable management was good too.
I don't know if there is a second NVMe slot of this MB so if upgrading the NVMe storage to something else, a PCI-e M2 expansion would need to be purchased in order to clone your drive to the new M2 storage.
The value of this PC out way the minor inconveniences of this PC.Dec 16, 2020 20:35
I've been using the Tower 5 for nearly a month now and wanted to share my experience so far.
CASE - A lot of prebuilts ship with less than stellar cases, not so with the Tower 5. The case is solid, clean and well crafted and lends itself well to future upgrades.
FANS & LIGHTING - The 4 internal RGB fans are all whisper quiet even under heavy loads. You can create and edit lighting profiles in the BIOS and Lenovo Vantage tool which both work well.
CPU - The AMD Ryzen 3700X is a phenomenal chip. It breezes through CPU intensive workloads and the included cooler keeps it running cool.
MEMORY - Lenovo included TWO sticks of 8GB DDR4 3200MHz memory. Dual channel is the way to go and thankfully Lenovo did not skimp out in this department.
GRAPHICS CARD - My rig shipped with an NVIDIA 1660 Super which is a pretty solid, middle of the road card. I can play most big named, current games comfortably on medium to high settings.
STORAGE - The Tower 5 ships with Windows preinstalled on a 256GB Samsung NVME drive. It makes for fast boot times and quick file operations. You also have an additional 1TB WD Blue series spinning disk drive you can use for your games and other files.
POWER - The one check mark against the Tower 5 is the fairly underpowered 450W PSU. It's able to adequately power all the included hardware, but if you eventually want to upgrade your graphics card, you'll need to upgrade it as well.
FINAL THOUGHTS - The Tower 5 is a solid, well built machine with an impressive amount power under the hood. In the prebuilt gaming PC world, it's one the best I've seen for the price.Dec 31, 2020 08:09

The power to master any game. With a powerful Intel® processor and NVIDIA® graphics, this gaming laptop will tackle everything you throw at it. The enhanced thermals keep everything cool, so you can game harder, better, faster and longer.
This laptop has exceeded my expectations. Firstly getting it for $699.00 instead of its $899.00 usual price made me pull the trigger. I wanted a thinner laptop that could be used to play games on that still provided a great gaming experience. The 1660 ti with maxq works very well in this laptop. It was easy to get the back off of it and upgrade the memory and put an extra 2tb of storage in it. I spent $160.00 to upgrade those 2 items. A 2tb Seagate 2.5inch drive and 16gb of ddr4 G Skill memory in the form of 2 8gb sticks. Out of the box the memory comes with 2 4gb sticks of ddr4 3200 speed. The i5 processor is more than enough to run this laptop without it sounding like a rocket heading into space. Even when the fan does spin up it isn't super annoying. Hp did a great job managing the Temps in this and it shows to be able to play games at high to ultra settings well since the GPS isn't being tanked by rtx settings. The 144 hz screen was another selling point that made me buy this and it is a buttery smooth experience. It's bright and I haven't had to make any adjustments to get a bright vivid picture. The Intel on-board graphics shares itself with the nvidia gpu so out of game its utilizing the Intel graphics. This means that there is limited adjustments in the nvidia control panel and most if not all if your color enhancements have to be made through the Intel graphics program that's pre-installed. I did HDMI out to an external display that ran at 1440p resolution and to my surprise when I did I was able to have the laptop display this same resolution. When connected to an external display the full functionality of the nvidua control panel is displayed and you can adjust the desktop color settings. I felt it was important to mention this as I thought the nvidia control panel was broken. After doing some searches I discovered that it's just the Intel graphics settings on the laptop override the nvidia ones. Start up is quick with the 512gb ssd that came with this unit. I did not see a protected partition that had the OS recovery on it so I would imagine that you would have to do a recovery online should the need arise. I also do not notice much difference with the 32gb of octane memory but maybe it just needs to learn my habits before it does. The wifi card is not a wifi 6 one but it dioes connect well and maintains a strong signal. I find that the laptop lid must be in the open position to get the best signal. The keyboard is easy to both type and game on. Having 2 USB type 3.1 ports and a USB C port allows for plenty of connectivity. This does have a full size SD card slot and the card does go all the way in so it won't catch when this laptop is stored in a sleeve. It fits in a 15.6 inch sleeve which is really nice and the screen has super thin bezels on the sides. It passes the 1 finger test when opening and doesn't flop when being picked up. The Webcam is 1080p and is at the top bezel providing a great Skype experience. The backlit keyboard is well lit and allows the user to to have 3 brightness modes. Full bright, mid bright, and no brightness. Unfortunately the only drawback and gripe I have is it shuts the backllight off after about 20 seconds and you have to either touch the touch pad or press a key on the keyboard to get it back on. There is no way to set it to stay on for any longer length of time. It also will be green forever. This is fine with me as I just need to see the keys while I am in a dark room and green gives a good glow to them. It is a fully plastic unit so don't expect a metal chassis like the Omens have. It doesn't feel cheap though and to get a 16 inch screen that looks this good and comes with a 144hz refresh rate is pretty sweet. This doesn't have gsync but I haven't had any tearing issues. I have played forza horizon 4, Shadow of the Tombraider, Doom Eternal, and the new Medium game. All of these games have run great on this budget gaming laptop. This was an excellent choice and in my opinion the best option out there at this price point. If you can catch it on discount it's an even better deal. This is my honest opinion and I am not being paid by hp or any one else. This is my experience and my opinion. I am very happy I bought this. It's a well put together machine. I highly reccomend this product to anyone looking for an entry level gaming laptop that isn't going to weigh a ton. The included power brick is enough to run this cpu and gpu without power drain. Just buy it and I guarantee you will be glad you did.Feb 13, 2021 07:38
I recently sold my gaming PC and went for this laptop as a means of being more portable with my gaming and streaming and I am absolutely loving this laptop.
The specs are perfect for what I do. The processor is clocked a little lower than I would prefer, but the 10th Gen i5 makes easy work of streaming, browsing, gaming, and anything else you'll be using this laptop for.
For graphics, the 1660 Ti is a FANTASTIC piece of hardware to have inside of this laptop. Some games you will have to turn down graphical settings to reach the 100+ FPS to take full advantage of the 144hz panel (MW/Warzone being a prime example). However, for other titles like the Master Chief Collection it easily tears past 150 FPS on the original graphics settings.
The only downside for this machine would be the amount of RAM it comes with in the box. 8 GB is plenty for older titles, but if you want to have multiple applications and a game open at the same time, you'll need to upgrade. I recently upgraded to 16 GB but have not tried it out in any games as of writing this review.
Overall, I would DEFINITELY recommend this laptop! It's a fantastic first gaming machine and an even better portable alternative to a gaming desktop.Jul 21, 2020 14:25
Happy with the laptop, it's a good machine to start PC gaming with and can handle all my daily activities with it as well. The keyboard is nicely laid out along with a dedicated number pad section. While the green keyboard and logo on the lid are not subtle, it doesn't scream "GAMER" loudly when carrying it around in public compared to other laptops.
I've signed up for XBox Game Pass and the imagery of latest 'Ori' and Halo Master Chief Collection games are spectacular on this laptop.
When not using it for games, it's super quiet, fans are not coming on.
I can't speak to battery life as I normally have it plugged in.
I purchased my previous Dell Inspiron 15" laptop 5+ years ago and noticed that the physical size of the two laptops are roughly the same. I have attached pictures of the laptops side by side as well as a 2019 silver 15" Inspiron for comparison. The older Dell and this HP shows how much thinner screen bezels are these days.
My only complaints are around RAM -
- it only comes with 8GB - 2x4GB
- Upgrading to 16GB requires completely replacing the existing memory.
- Some discrepancies on maximum amount of memory - HP's site says 16GB - 2x8GB, but yet other current HP pavilion laptops accept up to 32GB - 2x16GB. Reading the Questions/Answers on this page show similar conflicting answers by "HP Team members" and customers.
Overall, still a good laptop, especially when it's on sale and seeing it beats out other laptops with similar specs.Feb 10, 2021 20:28
I got this on sale for like $750 a year ago and it has really impressed me so far. I knew I wouldn’t be maxing out warzone or other demanding new games but I was honestly surprised how well it handles WoW TBCC.
Almost all ultra settings and 150% rendering keeps me ~120fps average with many areas locked in at 144hz in tbc classic wow. I also just installed warzone as a test and although I sacrificed a lot of texture and lighting I was able to stay smooth at 115hz with full clip range. I should also add that overclocked or not I never saw above 80*C, also didn’t notice much gain but I can’t be mad.
If you understand that this is not a desktop I can’t see how anyone could complain for the price. The screen is honestly one of the best I’ve seen also. Maybe a tiny bit dim in well lit rooms but it’s so vibrant in med-low light that I haven’t even tried calibrating.
Buy this or step up and drop 2k+ on something with an RTX 30xxJul 12, 2021 19:18
We were able to snag a great deal on this gaming laptop. I am able to edit videos for a YouTube channel with little to no issues, and my son is able to play all of the PC games he desires with no problem. I will say, I had to return the first PC because it literally crashed the first night we had it. But it was no problem to return to Best Buy and get one that works appropriately. We've now had this one for almost 2 months and it has gotten a TON of use between my son and myself. If you are looking for a gaming computer at a great price, you'd be hard pressed to find another.Mar 31, 2021 11:42
I was on a budget and needed to upgrade fast. Luckily I came across this beast and for the price it is a steal. So far its capable of handling anything I throw at it whether it’s music producing, multitasking or gaming. The battery life isn’t too great. I tend to keep it plugged in when producing or gaming but overall for the price, graphics card and upgradeable memory, you really can’t go wrong. It’s a baby HP OmenJul 31, 2020 22:58
This thing is a cold harder beast!!!!! Add 16gigs of ram and you got an awesome machine, the PNY ram does not go well with this system though, buy another brand, I got 2 Samsung 8gig cards at 2666mhz and the computer automatically dies the speed to max!!!!Feb 18, 2021 18:07
I use this for gaming, editing videos and Livestreaming to Twitch. It has handled things better than i ever expected it to. After upgrading ram to 16gb, i have had very few issues with hitting performance walls. That said, for intensive gaming and streaming sessions, the i5 is the bottleneck, but i mean you are getting a solid laptop at the price and the GTX 1660Ti has Nvenc encoding.....I do not regret this purchase.Oct 15, 2021 01:21
Engineered out of a passion for savage power and unmatched speed, the Lenovo™ Legion Tower 5i delivers mind-blowing performance that combines 10th Generation Intel® Core™ processors and top-of-the-line NVIDIA® GeForce® graphics cards for blazing-fast frame rates at up to 4K resolution. Pushing far beyond the upper bounds of smaller rig configurations while keeping things cool and whisper quiet, the Legion Tower 5i is a marvel of build and design, accentuated by its illuminated blue LED logo and lighting, as well a transparent side panel that can properly showcase your internals.
No one reviewed this yet upon interest of buying this, so I took the dare.
In a nutshell, very solid choice during the global chip storage, good specs for running some benchmark titles like Fortnite, COD Warzone, etc.
HIGHLY recommend buying x1 DDR4 8GB for RAM, just to approve game experience (fps), and for streaming.Jul 02, 2021 22:09
The computer is built decent as it looks good for a low end model, but I'm a bit annoyed with the windows install. I have set up multiple PC's this week and Lenovo's Legion is the only one to give me issues right out of the gate. From not making the initial profile created an administrator account to the mail and calendar apps being so broken you cant login whatsoever, leading to a chain reaction of issues with windows apps and syncing.
The hardware appears to be working fine, BUT I have yet to even test any games hours into trying to repair the broke windows install.
Normally I wouldn't hold a faulty windows install to the fault of a build company, but normally they at least provide the disc required to do a proper factory reset so you dont need to play PC repair man on a PC that has been booted for 10 minutes.
Instead you'll need to login to the website, download their bridge connect tool, provide personal info, then jump through 5 hoops and whistle the star spangled banner. Ohh, you don't have a 16GB usb handy? Then tough crap - it will cost you $30 to have one mailed out.... Just a digital download and you are on your own.Jul 30, 2021 02:49
Great for a first pc but i am having a huge freezing issue quite often maybe one a day. Other than that the computer is well cooled and the rgbs are very colorful. Can play most games but you need to add ram to play games like tarkov. Not very hard at all. Highly recommend for first time pc buyerSep 19, 2021 15:48
Purchased about a month ago and so far its been amazing! It has sufficient storage and speed for several different games that my family play. The only complaint I have is the clear side panel has got some funky designs from the Legion advertisement sticker was put on poorly.Jul 24, 2021 11:54
My PC works just fine. The only problem is the RGB lights inside turn on for 1 second and turn off immediately.Jul 25, 2021 23:21
This pc is insane it can run warzone gta fortnite and lots of other games before I got it I was so excitedAug 25, 2021 17:52
First off I want to say FOR ANY STREAMERS WHO BUY THIS PRODUCT: if you experience your internet dropping rapidly from pulling up any game and playing it (ex. I pull up FFXIV then go to pull up OBSand OBS loses frames in the masses while FFXIV still runs perfectly fine.) - if you want it to not gear everything toward the game, go into Lenovo Advantage, and turn OFF the Network Boost feature. This is what is prioritizing the game over anything else. AFter I turned this off I was able to stream perfectly fine while running a game.
Now to my actual review. I'm a former Mac Addict who now has seen the light. This is my first PC (since the 90's) and I am so impressed. This computer is upholding so well, things my laptop was STRUGGLING with. So I am so excited to be able to very efficiently run any programs I need simultaneously. I did install new ram (32G) to replace the 8G it came with just cuz the bandwidth wasn't gonna hold up to streaming and gaming simultaneously.
Now if you anticipate just playing and not trying to do other stuff - this is 100% a wonderful bang for your buck.
And as someone who struggles a lot with understanding computer stuff, this computer is very intuitive in the way it runs. So there was enough challenge to make it exciting but not so much that i was completely lost. 10/10. (i gave a 10 here cuz the system only let me do 5 stars.)Sep 03, 2021 10:06
Overall, this is an excellent gaming machine for my 12 year old son. A couple things to note. One, 8GB RAM is the main reason why it gets 4 stars - it really needs 16, but that's easily added. The second issue I've seen others complain about is that the computer seemed to come DOA. The fan would come on, but wouldn't boot. What I found out is that the video card was improperly installed - there is a metal sleeve that sits between the card and the case which prevents the card from properly seating. I considered taking the sleeve out as I don't think it's necessary, but instead I flattened it out so the card could totally fit into the slot. It wasn't easy, but once we got it in properly, the computer sprang to life on the next boot and everything has worked great since. Some people have gotten computers swapped out for this problem, but likely it's the same issue as we had.Nov 08, 2021 20:26
