Nice build quality, appears to be all aluminum, attached cables feel durable. Using with a 2019 16” Macbook Pro. HDMI display output works perfectly (using a 1440p monitor @120hz). The ethernet, 100W PD, and USB ports work as intended with full bandwidth. Have not tested the NVMe drive yet but their website states its given 10gbps of bandwidth so I would expect slightly under 1GB/sec speeds max. Overall extremely pleased with the quality and features.

Bought this for my son . He uses it with his pc so he can use multiple ports. It works well so far.

Without this I wouldn’t be able to add my printer or scanner to my iMac.

The Adapter is a great buy. No lag when connected to a mouse and a hard drive simultaneously.

This little multi-port adaptor comes in very handy when I need to connect more than one thing to my Surface Go, because the Surface Go has only on USB C port. This device allows me to access older files that I have stored in USB drives or SD memory cards. Since the Surface Go has a small screen, sometimes I connect it to a larger monitor through the HDMI port in the multi-port device. I have also used it to connect to a TV. I like having one single, light-weight adaptor to connect different things to my computer.

Solid, well-built Multi-Port Adapter for my MacBook. Does not get too hot and I love that it has an ethernet port as well. In my opinion, it's the best value for a USB-C adapter and has a nice exterior that looks good with my MacBook Pro.

Saved me lots of money. My brand new laptop had only a micro SD card reader. When I realized it I thought I was going to have to return the laptop and buy a more expensive one containing a regular size SD card reader.

The HDMI port works flawlessly. USB ports work fine when connected with the mouse, keyboard, and the flash drive. However they do not work with the external SSD which is a big deal to me. When the SSD is connected to the USB port, it does not appear at all plus it also forces other connected devices to disconnected. I tried it on both of my Samsung SSD and my SanDisk SSD. They are both like new. They both work on my laptop bilt-in USB C port, but I thought I would use it for my audio interface. This means the three USB ports don't save me from this. Also, what is the purpose for the "power in" port? I thought it can be use to charge the phone?? It didn't do anything when I connected my phone to it. Is it supposed to be something else? I don't have any comment on the other ports because I've only tried the ones that are important to me for now. I don't want to return it, but if I can't find any solution to those isues, I might.

This docking station was a perfect match for my MacBook pro. The cord storage is very convenient since I take this docking station with me when I travel. The usb-c fits perfectly in the Mac, a problem I have had in the past.

works really well the one downside about macs is the lack of compatibility with other products but this helps close that gap

It actually works where many, many others fail. Be sure to use your laptop’s power supply so that it gives power to everything.

This is just amazing. Slick design, has very single port you'd need, does not need a power supply, and supports multiple monitors (I tested it with two simultaneously and one that has 144Hz refresh rate and 2550x1440 resolution. My laptop only has usb-c ports, this is a must-have.

Great product, but I returned it because I did not need it. I thought I would be able to connect two screens to my mac with their new chip but this was not the case. I got a cheaper version on amazon and returned this one.

I absolutely love this product. It does everything I need it to. My ONLY negative about it is that the cable is too short. I understand it’s made for a MacBook and not an iMac but there’s nothing specifically for the iMac. Nonetheless this is still a very high quality product.

Works perfectly with macbooks which have ports on the left side. My HP has a port on the right so had to flip to make it work

I was using a Lenovo USB 3.0 Dock for the last three years, but the two USB 3.0 front ports began failing. After shopping around the StarTech USB 3.0 was just what I needed to attach my VGA monitor (1680 x 1050), external backup drive, Ethernet, phone, and Logitech USB headphones with mic. Since the StarTech uses DisplayLink technology just as the older Lenovo, the software driver was the same.

Pros:

* The device was fully complete in the box with various power plugs and DVI to HDMI and a DVI to VGA converters.

* It's well constructed, and I prefer the Aluminum housing and stand over the plastic construction of the older USB 3.0 Dock from Lenovo.

* I opted for regular ground shipping, and since it left a warehouse in central PA, I had it in my hands the very next day in NJ at no extra charge.

* Another nice feature is the USB 3.0 ports supply power. That's handy.

* It was on sale in December 2016 which made it a great deal.

Cons: Can't find any. It worked the first time I hooked it all up. I did have to hit the Auto Video Adjust on the monitor to sync it with the new hardware and eliminate a flicker.

We purchased the docking station about a year ago. I had to contact StarTech a couple of times and they were great to deal with. I ended up having to get a replacement. I can honestly say-this company stands behind their products and has a great customer service. Would highly recommend!

This docking station worked flawlessly, until I logged in to my work server. There is some sort of software conflict between the remote software our company uses and this device. So, I unfortunately had to return this device for a refund.

Great product. Works as intended and the proce was right.

I use this on my Windows laptop and MacBook Pro. Just get the drivers installed and you’re off and running. The only downside side are the connectors. I had to get a specific DVI adapter so that I could use HDMI to DVI because my monitors only have DIsplayPort and VGA. Connectors or the dock are DVI to HDMI and VGA. Other than that, it works seemlessly.

Plug and play ease of use. Well manufactured as well. A good choice for those looking to do dual monitors.

I needed a docking station for my new Samsung laptop that I purchased from Best Buy.

This is perfect and doesn’t take up much desk area. Note: I have a VGA connection for my monitor. It didn’t work initially. I had to download additional drivers via the internet and then my monitor started working. I can now use my laptop monitor and my external monitor as a two monitor setup. I love it!

Have been using it for last two years and it just works good without any problem.

This dock has all the ports you could ask for, but with a much smaller footprint. Even better is that it can be used to dock a tablet and it works wonderfully for that purpose.

Exactly what I had hoped for. Mostly for display expansion but the extra usb ports make this a great hub.

Happy with product, occasionally one of monitors blinks even though everything's connected bringing it down to four stars.

It's not as good as the older Dell docking stations, but it works well enough for me.

While this is missing some features that larger docks have, like audio input, it is great for what it is. It is much more portable and can charge and communicate with my laptop through a single usb which is what I want. Unfortunately I have to add the 3.5mm audio separately.

Cant say much about the quality of other hubs, but this one has everything I was looking for, especially a way to charge my surface book without carrying the large and bulky default wall charger.

The idea is right but this is really to big and bulky for me plus the cables on the Anker chargers are nicer- but I got this mainly for the hdmi port -

If you have a laptop and need a second or larger screen this is your item. It's grand and serves exactly the purpose it's intended. I am thrilled I purchased this as I wasn't sure at first if this was what I needed, but it absolutely was. I switch it between my Apple and my HP - so it easily works for both if you are trying to figure out what options are there for mixed programming.

I purchased this device as a generic dock that I could use with my laptop for when I am away from office environments. I basically needed an HDMI, which is more generally available on monitors and TVs, plus some extra USB ports. My laptop has display port and SVGA for video output, and these days, those aren't as commonly available as HDMI. I also needed additional USB ports, as my laptop has 2 plus the USB-C. I do not presently need the 90W USB-C power output that the dock can provide, but it is handy to have, just in case.

I am using this with my Pixelbook Chromebook. It is perfect. One connection charges and connects my display, keyboard and mouse. I have it connected to a 4K display. I don't notice the slower (30Hz) refresh.

My only issue was I had to reboot my Chromebook the first time I connected it to get it to recognize the video.

LandingZone Dock got the job done for me. Fairly easy to install. I don't have to plug and unplug lots of things now. Some cautions- It does not appear to be able to power a Superdrive, but it leaves 1 USB from your MacBook (depending on which generation I suppose) free for that. It's a little trick to actually dock the macbook, don't use too much force. Be careful when ordering one that you carefully read and select the Dock that is the right size for your MacBook. I accidentally ordered the 13 inch one the first time around.

I'm in meetings throughout the day and have to take my laptop with me for presentations. This docking stations supports that well. Easy to use and the ability to connect to the monitors at my desk through the station while always having an "on demand" adapter connected to my laptop ensures that I never forget my adapter during meetings.

This dock allows me to use dual monitors with my MacBook and charging while the system is docked. I have never used a dock before but found this very simple to set up and easy to use. Mine came with a note that I would have to download an additional driver to use the ethernet port, but I use wifi so I have no need for the eternet port. So far it works great.

I was unable to connect & utilize 2 monitors on Mac 2015. Even though it says it’s compatible. I had to return the docking station

Returned original when HDMI port did not work, assuming a defective unit, but replacement also did not handle HDMI external monitor. Mac could not even detect it when docked, but no problem without dock.

Closest thing to a “real” docking station that I have seen.* Everything hanging from my laptop, including dual monitors, is plugged into this device and when I need to, I just unplug two wires - the power and the USB-C connector to the dock. You can also buy it without the power option. A very good purchase. Would do it again and do recommend it.

*I don’t mean this as a disparaging remark, but I think back to my days when I had a docking station for my IBM laptop. Put the laptop on the dock, click, and you’re done.

It’s an okay dock if you’re on a budget. The colors were a little off on 1 monitor. Don’t have this issue with my lenovo dock. Returned.

Does everything I need it to do. Using it on a surface pro 7. Have dual HD monitors, printer, keyboard/mouse, lightning cable for phone. AND it charges the surface pro. PERFECT!

I love the versatility of this docking station, however my laptop doesn’t charge through this I have to have it plugged in either regular power cord too.

I am using this product with my Dell 2 in 1 laptop and 2 desktop monitors. While I was unable to hookup to the USB-C on the laptop, I used a USB-A adapter and it works great. I use the monitors and wired peripherals and it resides under the laptop instead of on my already cluttered desk. Perfect for me.
