BOOKMARK FOR LATER↗️🔰 - - “*BODY FAT %* ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So the main reason for this difference between men and women is that at some point in their lives may nourish a fetus and then a baby from their own bodies, so women have to stock energy in the form of fat in anticipation of future pregnancies.  There's also the hormonal differences that play a role with men vs women as why they will carry more body fat.  For the most part women carry fat differently and in different areas of the body such as the buttocks, hips and navel midsection area. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With that being said, the same mind games still play a part. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The scale can tell you how much total gross weight our body carries but it can't really tell you your bf%. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We weigh ourselves to find out how much "weight" we have lost, but do you really know how much "fat" you've lost. It's all very misleading right? The body is compromised of ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ lean muscle, fat tissue, organs, water, etc... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You may have a healthy weight but not so healthy bf%. More than 30% for women and 20% body fat for men makes it more likely to be vulnerable to diseases that effects overweight and obese people. Too much body fat is a serious health risk. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Problems that may occur are: -Hypertension -Elevated blood lipids(cholesterol) -Diabetes -Mellitus -Cardiovascular disease -Respiratory dysfunction -Gall bladder failure/disease ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -Joint issues/disease ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ OK but lets flip the page on this and play devils advocate, being too thin can also cause issues. Now more than ever, people are worried about how much they weigh. In only the opposite direction people in a effort to lose weight and extra fat achieve being too lean only by popular misconceptions of what today's society deems fit.” Another AWESOME visual by

  • @charleigh_beynon you don't really understand how the internet works, do you?

  • I don’t think this is accurate

  • @karinab_trainer the ideal healthy range for a woman is 16-18% so let’s not say those of us who bust our ass to stay as low as possible are “too low in fat”

  • Best deasl to club tonight with @fancy305nights contact Us for Limo, OpenBar Hours and more

  • @onefruitbat well shit didn’t realize I have an earring disorder just bc I have a low bf%, better quit lifting and stop dieting

  • @bobbybolbo I have a BMI of 22 😘

  • oh shit i'm fat..

  • @tuba_tara 14 is a worrying number, I can imagine that not in all cases. But still is the number near the people who suffer from an eating disorder. That doesn't mean that if you have had a 14 during all your life now you have an eating disorder. And it's not lifting or dieting it's what medicine says.

  • @onefruitbat I’ve been bulking for over a year and have not been over 14%. I’ve never had anything close to an eating disorder. It is not what medicine says😂😂😂😂

  • point to make bmi and bfp are not the same 🙌🙌🙌

  • @tuba_tara actually under 19 will get u in the hospital for anorexia if ur not competing

  • fuck off

  • @tuba_tara then, good for you. But don't try to say that it's generally the more healthy %. And lesd than 14% is considered as a really low % according to doctors

  • Slightly overweight when you are older is not safe. I know, I have been there. This whole country is now teaching people that it is okay to be overweight. It is not. I have seen too many people die in their 40’s and 50’s because they stopped taking care of themselves and became overweight. Love yourself people by taking care of yourself.

  • @tuba_tara healthwise the Best range is 20-30%... Athletes often have a much lower bodyfat percentage. It May look good, and they May work very hard for it. But it is not healthy. That is also why women sometimes stop menstruating, when they get so low in bodyfat. The female body is not build for the purpose of loosing too much fat.

  • So as a lady who has had a body fat scan and usually am in the range of 29-33 I am at a high risk of obesity? Even though I am a uk size 12 with a good size waist (indication of less visceral fat) good cardiovascular fitness and decent amount of muscle mass. What a way to body shame. Why was this on my explore page, I don’t want to explore bullshit thanks. @drjoshuawolrich

  • @onefruitbat it is not unhealthy though??? By any means?? You obviously don’t train based on your assumptions about how the human body can function when you’re lean. If you are uneducated on the subject, you shouldn’t be trying to preach. Under 10% is incredibly difficult for women to hit. You “fit shaming” is just as bad as fat shaming, I thought feminists were supposed to be about empowerment and not degrading other women for living healthy lifestyles??

  • And side note 21% bf would be extremely difficult for me to sustain so cut the crap.

  • @karinab_trainer you’re telling me that I, and the other women I train with, are not healthy? Because we’re not fat? We’re unhealthy because we live healthy lifestyles?

  • @tuba_tara no, that is not at all what I am saying! But I guess you just hear what you wanna hear... Have a good and healthy day 😉

  • @lizzy.rae.xx actually no??? I just saw my dr a week ago, I’m not in prep, and I’m not dieting for the first time in over 7 years and not a thing was said. They don’t just put skinny/lean people in the hospital for having low body fat.

  • @tuba_tara I'm not trying to degrade but I've always read and heard that 14 is worrying. I don't preach xd I just informed you what doctors said to my sister. Of course some people are healthy with a 14 and others with s 30, but generally 14 is worrying if that person is not fit but just too skinny and sick. If you're fit, that's fantastic but people with 14 and not fit, usually have an eating disorder. That's why I said 14 is generally not healthy, exactly the opposite of what this post is telling.

  • @t.r.i.b.e.k.a.h same but if you like your body you don’t have to i mean we all are different in a way and if your body suits you don’t ever try to stress yourself over losing weight!

  • First of all, it is extremely difficult to determine your actual body fat percentage unless you do underwater weighing or some other accurate study. I have a scale that supposedly analyzes body fat percentage, and while I think it is more accurate first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, it will tell my my body fat percentage is significantly higher after breakfast or if I'm having one of those bloated feeling days. So that's clearly not possible, I don't gain a bunch of fat after one meal. So knowing your body fat percentage is difficult, and secondly everyone wears muscle and fat a little differently. It should be about how you feel in your skin and deciding on a goal body composition that is right for you for the right reasons.

  • @onefruitbat you probably shouldn’t be posting other people’s medical info on social media, even if it is your sister. But no, 14 is in general not “unhealthy”. This post was about general fitness not random health cases. But any how, all this talk of not eating has me starving so I’m going to eat. you have a good day, hope your judgment changes for the better soon❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • @tuba_tara that was an example that I just lived, nothing wrong with that. Yeah it's not being useful for neither of us. I also hope you can understand that not all the people with 14 is healthy. And have a great day too!

  • @karinab_trainer you do see though from my perspective as an athlete that you, a trainer, is trying to make being lean look like it’s unhealthy. If my trainer said something like that to me, I’d be finding a new one. Just my 2 cents.

  • @mira_yassine_ thanks love!

  • I’m at high risk to obesity

  • @aivensong pretty sure i’m not in excellent shape 😒

  • @gizeli_pilates vc vai conseguir tenho certeza 👏🏻👏🏻

  • @tuba_tara well of course you would also have to show signs of disordered eating. competition dieting is also a very restrictive way to eat, so i’m comparing the results of both, if that makes sense.

  • Delete ur account

  • Um bmi tells you what your excess weight is tho it could be muscle not fat...

  • @bobbybolbo real mature you’re what 65 and calling someone fat? Nice

  • Too many cry babies on here. It is better to have a few extra pounds and be fit, then to be skinny and not fit. People seem more interested in slicing and dicing others than looking after themselves.

  • @aishaglynne only just saw this😂 god dammit it we better do something bout this

  • I’m like 30 😭😭😭😭

  • Fuck off

  • 😍
