The microphone preamps have enough gain to capture both low sounds and loud live sounds, while dual-level recording helps avoid distortion. This Tascam four-track digital audio recorder features a revamped layout that offers quick access and intuitive control.
Works great! I use this to plug my xlr microphone cable into and monitor the audio levels. I sync the audio with my video in post-processing.
Mar 24, 2021 13:43Excellent device to record your tracks, easy to use
May 28, 2021 15:49I purchased this to augment my video sounds. My current video camera has nice sound but it needed a little more punch! This little machine is so much more capable than I could ever imagine. I literally recorded a video at Christmas and with minimal effort in Audacity it sounded like it was recorded in a studio! Fantastic for the price!
Jan 13, 2020 14:36This four track recording device is one of my favorites of all time, just wonderful.
Jan 26, 2021 00:06Listen to your favorite tunes with this Sharp portable Bluetooth boombox speaker. It delivers powerful high-performance audio at 100W RMS, and it uses bass boost technology to amp up the beats. This Sharp portable Bluetooth boombox speaker includes a guitar jack and mic terminal, and its USB input lets you connect a variety of mobile devices.
I bought this to use on my rooftop patio. The base is loud and overall it has enough power even outdoors to hear the music well. I was using multi room wireless speakers prior and they just did not offer enough headroom to get the music loud on the patio. The does well. It also looks cool.
Jun 30, 2020 22:58Awesome boombox! The item that I received is what I really expected. It is in good perfect condition and so far, it’s working fine. Best Buy’s order tracking is very helpful, convenient and efficient.
Jun 18, 2020 13:20After a ton of research, I decided on this unit for use around our pool. Couldn’t be happier!!
Dec 04, 2020 15:37I recommend this boom box to everyone it the best I’ve ever had!
Jul 31, 2021 22:39Good boomboxes vs. Others for the same money. Got it on sale so it makes up for the little things I don't like. When radio is playing can't tell the difference between xbass on or off. If you like the highs this is not for you. Heavy but end speakers are well protected I gave it 5 stars because I got it on sale otherwise 4 stars.
Jul 24, 2020 17:07I was really impressed with this boombox...goes really loud and lots of bass!!! You can taylor the sound even more with your phone thru bluetooth. I use it exercising and also for playing guitar.....I like it alot:-D
Jun 19, 2020 20:22I love this boom box because the sounds is great , bass is really good to hear , my flour and wall trembling when I play soft or loud music !!!
Jun 19, 2020 21:45Good garage radio. Blue tooth works great and all my radio stations come in. Plenty of power. Sounds good at full volume.
Jul 03, 2020 16:10Bring your music anywhere with this water-resistant Mini Sonic portable speaker. The passive radiator speaker delivers impressively accurate audio, and Bluetooth connectivity lets you stream wireless audio from up to 33 feet away. This Mini Sonic portable speaker has a powerful battery that offers up to 23 hours of use per charge.
The speaker is tiny but packed with great sound output. I got this when it was on sale for $12.99. I like it so much I went back and got two more. They are splash proof and feels really sturdy. Pair tow of them up and you get nice stereo sound. This would be great gift especially if it goes on sale again.
Nov 16, 2021 17:05The Bluetooth speaker was great small enough to put in a bag for travel.
Oct 22, 2021 20:48Works very well, I use it when I am on my tablet. Then yesterday I went back to best buy to get another one. You can't beat it for the price.
Nov 21, 2019 10:55Pretty clear sounds coming from this tiny speaker. We bought this for our boys to have music to listen to while they go to sleep. It My only complaint is that the speaker is black and so are the keys. It's hard to distinguish the buttons unless you are holding it close. Other than that, we haven't had any issues.
Mar 05, 2021 23:23Insignia Mini Sonic Portable Speaker Is a nice little Bluetooth speaker with booming sound. While it doesn’t have too many features it has enough for the needs of the modern world. For a low price the Sonic Mini packs big rich sound for whatever area of the house you put it in.
The sound quality is phenomenal for something in this price range. Everything is about as clear as it can be while maintaining strong bass throughout. Miss and lows are about what you expect but songs with layers to sound may get lost. When placed in a bathroom, sound amplify loud enough with only Distortion and very max volumes. Call quality wasn’t as great as people on the other end said I sounded like I was “underwater” and “muffled” but I don’t intend to use this as a phone speaker.
Battery life is excellent lasting me as long as I need it to be. This is one of the strong points about the device is that the battery life does a great job maintaining stability and stamina. Also the range hits about 30+ feet away from your Bluetooth device, this is excellent if you’re Further away from your device and can even travel through walls upstairs and downstairs through floors.
Sonic Mini also water resistant which comes in handy if you wanna hang it in the shower or put it next to a sink. From my initial testing it handled water drops/beads dry well. Once the ports are securely closed, you can bet no water is getting inside. Such an excellent and useful feature this speaker is packing at this low price point.
The appearance and aesthetic of the speaker is not bold or striking any visual way. It doesn’t need to be to do its functions but there is no flare, flash, no LEDs lights to tell this speaker apart from another. While the design is lacking the usability is certainly there, there is no denying that this speaker is rugged enough when it needs to be and can handle high drops. Impact resistance is here as well as I dropped it on the hardwood floor and it was still fine albeit a few scuffs.
Sonic Mini is barebones but it gives you all hard button controls on top of the device. Play/Pause, Vol up & down, Bluetooth button, and power button are located at the top. Side is an LED indicator to you know when the device is charge. As well as flaps to close the ports near water.
Setup is easy as you just connect though Bluetooth without a problem and not much comes in the packaging which is nice from Insignia. Other than a USB cord you don’t even get much documentation for the device. Overall the speaker was great and had a fun time with it. Very cheap and easy to use WHILE still keeping features that are useful for the customer.
5 stars for the Mini Sonic, while I think that is a little generous that I would like to give this speaker; we tend to get lost in all these overextravagant overcompensating features from speakers when something like this comes along and give you just what you need. Mini Sonic does just that, give you what you need at a affordable price.
Oct 11, 2019 07:40I bought it because they put it on offer and I found the price to be excellent, but when I connect it, it has a good sound and the bass sounds good
I read that it could be paired getting stereo sound
That's why I bought another one to get the pair and connect them and it sounds great I like it
Feb 07, 2020 17:57Just got it today... was more than happy with the rich sound... better than any phone, iPad or laptop.... was worried that I did not have enough money to buy something of quality.... but not disappointed.... If you're a DJ, planning a party, this product may not work for you, but I turned on my laptop clicked on connect and was done... so happy with what I have. May buy another when I'm feeling more flush, but don't regret for a minute.
Nov 20, 2020 12:37Today got this morning mini speaker from INSIGNIA ..was on sale with a dirt cheap price of 12:99 .I never bought anything from INSIGNIA ( rumors that it's a less expensive company so products might compromise quality ) .But the today's discount from Best Buy ( a $27 break ) lure me to stop at Northern Blvd Best Buy store and jumped inside to grab this apportunity . Brought it home .once get relaxed from cooking and shower .open the box and pair it with my Motorola E 4 .Play Tony Igy Time (remix ). Wow this tini tiny thing is super .I moved my into my music collection's page 1980 right away cause as a dialysis patient 3 times in a week for 3 and 1/2 hour I listen the music on my phone as a DJ entertaining not only myself but fellow patients & pretty nurses .So click What a feeling .Irene Cara۔ Superb

I have always been in love with apple products, and my very first gadget was an iPod touch in 2012 ... since then I have been buying apple products and I am still satisfied with the quality and performance of their products but with the battery is another different point of view, even tho this new iPod touch is what I just needed for my subscriptions and downloadable music. I love music, and it sounds wonderful on my iPod obviously the con is that if we want better earphones it is necessary to pay almost the same price we paid for the gadget just to get EarPods but the ones that come with the iPod sound good.
Jun 26, 2021 11:17My husband loves using this ipod. He says it saves him from storing all his music on his phone. It is such a great sidekick to have because it does so much more than stores all your music, has the ability to add all kinds of apps, i.e, facetime, email, maps, books, etc, even has a decent camera for everyday shots. We love using the Bluetooth feature to play music throughout the house. Although we bought a separate protective cover for it, we love the pretty blue color of the ipod even though you don't see much of it with the cover on it.
Sep 30, 2019 14:36My experience buying my iPod touch was great the website told me they had the model storage space and color that I wanted in stock when I got to the store it was there I purchased it. I ordered a case for it from Best Buy at a later date because they didn’t have one in stock, I now have it on the iPod I am happy.
Oct 02, 2020 20:20I fought till the end about going to the ipod touch. Loved my ipod classic. Classic wasnt staying charged long, etc
Easy to use. I love that i can make playlists from the ipod touch.
Can't complain about the classic. It lasted many years. Hopefully I'll get just as many years from this one.
Apr 16, 2021 17:26This is the iPod touch. If you're buying it, you probably already know what it can do.
The camera is not that great. Battery life is not that great, especially when compared to Apple's latest phones. Video quality is so-so. The screen is tiny.
So why did I buy it?
It's a good device for my kid. That's why. He can download apps, create videos and edit them in iMovie, etc. He can take photos, and I can text him when he's on WiFi.
He's only 10, and I don't want him to have a full-fledged phone. He's learning the iOS eco-system, which is great, because he's eventually going to have an iPhone.
And he can do a lot on this little machine. Videos. Pictures. E-books. Facetime. Text. It's a perfect starter for a young kid. And with the 128GB storage space, he can take a lot of videos and a lot of pictures before we have to start talking about data management.
If you're looking for a cheap device for a young kid who's just getting started with Apple products, this is a great way to go.
Sep 16, 2020 17:19I am glad I got this iPod. I am one who doesn’t want a streaming service because I have all the music I want to listen to and my iPod stores all of that. What I love the most is that I decided to get the 128 gig, because my old 32 gig was running out of space. I am thankful Apple decided to make a more recent iPod and hope they will continue to make the iPod because I will always buy it.
Jul 20, 2019 07:25Bought this for my son to play games, take pictures, and listen to music. Works great and it's nice being able to share subscriptions and manage his usage through my Apple ID.
My only real issue with it would be the camera really isn't that great. I would expect it to be at least as good as an older generation iPhone within the last handful of years but it feels much more dated. Not a big deal for me but could be something worth considering if you really want a decent camera out of it.
Nov 27, 2021 23:53I’ve always been a big iPod fan, rather than my phone using my phone. My 4,000 song collection plus downloads of my favorite podcasts every day. I already have an iPod Touch but I just want another one in case Apple stops making them.
Oct 22, 2021 22:19Start an instant light-and-sound party with this Sony high-power Bluetooth audio system. Its spread sound generator lets the angled speakers distribute clear sounds evenly, and the 360-degree multicolor lighting turns your venue into a dance floor. Set this Sony high-power Bluetooth audio system on Taiko mode and play like a drummer by tapping the top panel.
My wife likes to set up and host special occasions for people we know “holidays, birthdays, weddings, etc.”, and wanted a decent sound system to take with her because everyone she’s helped never had a large enough sound system for their event.
Unpacking and first thoughts:
Didn’t know how big the MHC-V71 was actually going to be but once it was delivered we knew right away it was going to be big due to the weight and size of the box, “my wife could fit in it :) “. The speaker itself was well packaged inside and covered with a foam wrap protecting it. With it was a manual, remote control, FM radio antenna and some batteries for the remote.
Our first impression was “wow look at the size of this”, it’s huge, and not your old style boom box by any means. The control panel itself is heavily populated by controls with a small display that shows settings. The center of the control panel has a motion control area and was covered by a sticker showing what the different setting do. We removed that sticker as it was just paper but it was stuck down so well we weren’t sure if it was meant to be left, it’s gone now anyway.
There are built in casters at the back of the unit and hand holds on the sides and back making this pretty easy to move. Without casters it would be a chore moving it around so we’re glad Sony thought of adding those.
Trying out:
Set up was really simple, just plug it in and turn it on. It started out in demo mode and we played around with that for a while getting use to the controls. The party lighting will be perfect for the events she helps host and they always have karaoke events at these, seeing this is a built in option made it even better.
Features:
This system has Bluetooth built in, so we downloaded the Sony music center app off the Google Play store, and this makes using the speaker a lot easier as there are a few functions not available on the remote that the app supports.
This new speaker system is loaded with features, it has a built in disk player that accepts both CDs and CDRs for playing music. There’s also a USB port for playing music off a thumb drive. I put some albums on a 32gb drive and tried it out. The system found all the files, but its a little clumsy figuring folders and titles with the built in display, using the Android app made this a lot simpler. There are jacks on the back for standard RCA inputs and a built in FM tuner that worked really well as long as the included antenna was attached.
There are also two microphone Jacks on top of the unit, one of those can be used to attach a guitar and use it as a guitar amp “we won’t be tying that out ourselves”. The dual microphone jacks will come in handy as most of the events she helps host them have karaoke and they like using two microphones if available.
The party lighting is pretty novel, there are light emitting units at all four corners giving a complete surround effect and the lights flash along with the music pretty accurately. When we saw the advertisements for the speaker we thought that rainbow lighting was just for the advertisement. It actually looks like that in person. There’s also some lighting in the bass and mid-range speakers as well. This can be shut completely off or customized a little with the Sony app so that either all the lighting is on, only the speaker lighting or nothing at all.
One thing that I was surprised to see is you can put a music CD in the player and have the system transfer the music from that to a thumb drive. This makes it very easy to back up your CDs to a thumb drive.
Sound Quality:
We’ve sampled music from various artists from heavy metal to easy listening and the sound quality greatly depends on what sound setting you pick from the pre selects with the “Sound Field” button.
We were able to adjust everything to our liking and achieve excellent sound quality, there are quite a few options to choose from so it will take a while to remember what each one does.
Volume wise this can get really loud, actually very LOUD it will easily go past 100db, and will fill the small event halls they usually use without a problem. I also have a Bluetooth transmitter hooked to my projector and the sound during movies was clear, vivid, with plenty of bass. During action scenes you really have to be careful what you have the volume set at as it can really shake things around especially with Mega Bass enabled. I never had to set the volume past 20 during movies, and it does go up to 50 on the scale. She’ll be using it around 40 for the events she’s hosting so there’s still plenty of room to go higher if needed.
If you are looking for an all-around sound system that can be used for home theater, karaoke or looking at hosting events and you need a simple to use all in one system this may be what you are looking for. The sound quality is excellent and there more than plenty of bass and volume. There are so many features included with this system it should meet and exceed most everyone’s needs.
Nov 14, 2018 14:35Sony MHC-V71 High Power Home Audio System - “Thunder . . . and lightning?” At least that’s the explanation I’m going to offer if the neighbors call with questions. This is very serious sound production. Good Grief. I wondered before I plugged anything in if the sound would be loud enough to fill a small club or dance party. Now I’m wondering if this beast would shake apart a stone wall. More practically, I could see these SONY systems showing up in Fraternities/Sororities, large house parties, or as sound reinforcement for a small club music venue or performer. These SONY MHC-V71 systems are easily linked via hard wire or Bluetooth. And SONY added wheels for easy relocation.
PERFORMANCE / SUMMARY: You are going to see the word “loud” a lot. The SONY does NOT need to be played loud to sound good, but it’s so tempting and it’s sure to be used where its capability will be tested. I’m expecting to loan it out, often. The Sony V71 is capable of huge volumes, serious bass, high clarity sound . . . and the light show is club-quality colorful and spectacular. I’m not sure why more of the bright and attractive light show wasn’t directed upwards, rather than towards the floor. But, you can completely control it with an App or choose to turn it off. All types of music sound great, and this would make an ideal sound system to accompany an outdoors movie projection night (party lights off, of course). There are a lot (13) of preset EQs, including a custom one controlled by the SOUND FIELD button.
I’m working my way through a number of the inputs, and music from my CDs (MP3 and Audio), iPhone, tablet and direct wired have all worked fine. You can play selections in order or SHUFFLE music files on the USB or DISCs. I’d suggest setting up a pre-organized show, but it’s pretty easy to manage various media inputs with some experience. Using the Apps, described below, resulted in some unexpected interruptions in my music when I switched between the Apps or modified some feature or another. This is probably more about my lack of experience, or it may suggest thinking ahead before making some types of changes. Still discovering.
I exceeded 105 db (live rock band levels) at 1 meter (large indoor room). I wasn’t willing to keep cranking the volume from up close. That large, nearly 12” woofer and the 2 pairs of midranges and tweeters are designed to broadly distribute sound around the listening space.
SETUP / INPUTS:
*** There is SO much going on here. The instruction manual doesn’t even cover all that is available behind these controls. I’m giving an abbreviated overview, and it’s already too long. I’ll focus on the top panel of the SONY Audio System, while the remote and the SONY Apps add two more entirely different approaches to using the SONY MHC-V71 . The good news is that most of these features are intuitive to use . . . and you’re unlikely to break anything by just winging it. ***
The viewing display is easily read from above, even in a darkened room, because the controls are all backlit. It appears to be water-proof, with the inputs protected by a tight rubber cover. There are quite a few controls. Many of the most used are repeated on the remote and are also available using a phone/tablet App. The SONY Music Center App controls most sound, media, and content functions. There is another, FIESTABLE App that works with the Music Center App for DJ effects, light, Gesture control and Karaoke control. On the MHCV71 panel there is a MEGA BASS button for added bass, a FIESTA button to bring out a special echo effect. There is the large gesture control. You have control over the light show using the PARTY LIGHT button on the top panel and also the Fiestable App which has an infinite variety of adjustments.
The full list of INPUTS includes:
pairing a Bluetooth device such as your phone or tablet which has your music library (up to 3 simultaneously); the built-in FM radio; <c> a USB device with compatible files; <d> a MICROPHONE connected to one of two inputs for Karaoke play; <e> a guitar (using one of MIC inputs); <f> the built-in CD player (audio Cd or CD-R/CD-RW or MP3 files); <g> using the AUDIO inputs L/R from another source (TV/or another V71. (Which also allows chaining together any number of these.
FINAL THOUGHTS: The SONY MHCV71 is really big. It is capable of LOUD, clean sound for a broad range of venues or settings where portable music reinforcement is desired, and it is expandable for more flexibility. I’m not sure what else is out there that can do what this SONY can do, and all in one package. You’ve got to see this in action. And, you’re going to want to add a microphone (or 2). Great fun.
Nov 10, 2018 18:28This thing is literally a party in a tower! It is ready to go right out of the box. Just plug it in! If you like to have parties, this is almost a must have. We cannot stop playing with this thing, especially our son who spends a half an hour to an hour a day exploring it’s functionality and having fun with it.
It literally has all the bells and whistles, lol. My son loves playing with all the DJ features using the gesture controls which are very cool. The sound is great and LOUD! It pairs seamlessly with any bluetooth device in out house, including the tv, where it gives a new sound experience to any football game. In addition to bluetooth, it has jacks for to plug in either a guitar or a microphone. We are planning on trying karaoke on it very soon.
Another cool feature is all the lights! It definitely adds to the atmosphere when playing music for a party. You can see in the picture what it looks like during daytime, imagine how much more impressive it is at night. From top to bottom, this is a really cool piece of hardware that not only adds fun to any party, but is fun to play with as well, and the sound is amazing as well. Worth every penny!
Nov 12, 2018 12:57My entire family loves this new sound system. It gets used a lot by my teens to host group events from church and school. The system is big, and unpacking requires following the box instruction to avoid any accident. It came well packaged and in include a few accessories (FM radio antenna, remote control with its batteries). The system does not include a microphone. My first use of the system was with my smartphone connected via Bluetooth. I listened to a ton of music, and I enjoyed the sound quality. With the Mega Blass enabled the sound system produces heavy bass that would be very useful for group listening.
My teens enjoy using the lights and the Karaoke option. They have so much fun using the Gesture Controls while they sing. The system has two 3.5mm microphone jacks, one of these jacks is also a guitar amp (haven't tried it).
My son and I have lots of fun playing the Taiko game. The game is simple, while the system plays a piece of music you tap the top panel according to the lighting guide pattern that appears on the surrounding of the gesture control sensor. The system scores based on the correct taps. So far, my son has the top score. The Taiko mode can be used to play different types of drums while listening to music.
The system plays audio CD, CD-R/RW, MP3 files on disk. It also plays some types of audio files on a USB device. For larger or multi-rooms events, the system has on the rear panel terminals to connect it to other speakers. The bottom wheels make for easy transport over smooth hard surfaces.
Overall, my family and I are satisfied with this home audio system. The sound quality is good, and the max volume is loud enough for most home events. This device will provide hours of entertainment.
Nov 14, 2018 20:02First let’s start with the excellent packaging. I really felt like the product was and will be protected from any potential damage during shipping. The speaker is built of high quality and is huge. The wheels are convenient, however, you should not roll the speaker with the power cable connected as it can be damaged. I personally think the lights is one of the best features of the speaker as they created a cool club like environment. The lights also react to the pace and beat of the music where they blink faster depending on the genre you are playing. The bluetooth worked with no issues. There is actually a voice that verbally notifies you once connected to a bluetooth device. I played a bit with the Taiko mode but I honestly don’t think I will be using this feature much, but a nice addon to have as it can be use while playing music. The inputs are great, however, I wish they had an XLR cable input as this speaker could be used to DJ a small party.
I’ve read other reviews rating the sound quality cheap and at first, I did agree with them but after playing with the settings I determined that the sound quality is not so bad. I connected a Pioneer DDJ-SX DJ controller and adjusting the highs, mids and bass really brought out the potential sound quality of this speaker. I know not every typical potential buyer has this capability but for an honest review of the totality the sound gets a pass from me. I’m glad that the top is splash proof as I can see someone at a party possibly dropping liquid on it. The multiple CD format player is a good feature, however, I no longer use CD’s and only listen to music in a digital format. The speaker also comes with built-in radio tuner in case you just want to listen to radio station. This thing is loaded with features not only to DJ but it can be use for Karaoke and you can also connect musical instruments. I’ll see myself hosting more house party without the need of DJ rental. Overall, Sony’s speaker is great for a party or event indoors or outdoors. If you take it outdoors, I would recommend an extension as the power cable is not very long.
Nov 14, 2018 23:29Let me start by saying this speaker is HUGE! In addition, it is not portable, it always has to be plugged in--you have to have an electrical outlet near for it to go outside.
The build quality seams very durable.
I love the fact that speaker comes with a remote control and has Bluetooth.
I have played all types of different music on the highest volume and it trembles the whole house! Very powerful! - I also do not have a gigantic house so everyone might feel different about the sound quality-It is perfect for me!
We absolutely love the lights; it is like a HUGE party!
You can connect up to (2) microphones- which my kids (and adults) love because they like to Play/Sing karaoke.
A HUGE plus is also that this speaker is splash proof, dustproof-Although I have not personally tried to drop any water on it-It is a great feature to have just in case- as I have had previous speakers ruined at party's due to people dropping drinks on them. FYI- This is only effective when the USB/MIC cover is closed. In addition, this is not guaranteed in ALL situations.
For the life of me-- I cannot figure out how to turn "DEMO" Mode off, I have read the instructions and googled it and I still cannot figure it out.
The instructions say:
Press the power button to turn the unit OFF. Press the DISPLAY button repeatedly until the Demo Mode display disappears. It did not work for me, but it does not bother me. I guess once I play around with it a little more maybe I can figure it out.
The demo mode seems to turn on when we power the speaker off.
ALL in all I love this speaker and it is perfect! I would definitely recommend.
Nov 14, 2018 14:57Was pleasantly surprised How loud This Speaker Was - It’s Cool You Can Use It Outside As Well
Oct 09, 2021 18:51This is one AMAZING speaker! I fell in love with it during a recent Best Buy visit. I like my music with a good amount of bass and this does not disappoint in that department. The sound is crisp and the features are great. This speaker is worth every penny!
Nov 27, 2020 22:58Bring your music anywhere with this Altec Lansing Baby Boom XL portable Bluetooth speaker. An IP67-rated chassis stands up to water, snow, and dirt and has a buoyant design that doesn't sink in water. This Altec Lansing Baby Boom XL portable Bluetooth speaker delivers up to 6 hours of loud, accurate audio per charge.
Having just moved to Florida after spending the first 50+ years of my life in New Jersey and New York, I realized that I need to have some waterproof items. So, to enhance my pool and beach time, I went out looking for some fairly priced Bluetooth speakers. I was looking for portable and lightweight, waterproof and of course with good sound quality and battery life.
I did what I usually do and headed out to Best Buy and ended up getting the very economical Altec Lansing Baby Boom XL Portable Bluetooth Speaker.
After I was able to figure out the very complicated plastic packaging (punch holes in both sides and press up with two fingers), and get the speaker out, I found paring with my LG Smartphone very easy. The volume controls and Bluetooth button on top serve as dual use purpose. The Bluetooth button is also pause / play or answer a phone call. The volume up/down is also advance or rewind. With a certified IP67 waterproof rating, the Baby Boom XL can handle being brought onto the sand, mud or even tossed into the pool – it will float!
Most importantly for me is the sound quality for an ultra lightweight speaker was excellent, with about 6 hours of battery life on a 2-hour charge. It makes this ideal for me to carry in my small laptop bag. It’s now with me wherever I go traveling up and around Florida.
This product gets my 4.5/5 star recommendation and I suggest you head out to Best Buy and get yourself an Altec Lansing Baby Boom XL Portable Bluetooth Speaker today. Or buy two units and pair them for true stereo sound!
Aug 22, 2019 11:16My 12-year-old loves this and she plays music for my 10 month old
Jan 21, 2021 14:03The Altec Lansing Baby Boom XL Portable Bluetooth Speaker is rugged and ready to rock, and must-have when we travel! Loaded with up to 6 hours of battery life per charge, this speaker will last through our longest hikes, pool days, or beach days!

Aug 19, 2019 18:55My auto radio died. This is a full sound boom box!
Dec 14, 2020 13:20Music has always been a HUGE part of my life. I am one of those crazy ladies you would see belting out a tune in the car while stopped at a light. I sing as if I am standing before a crowd of thousands, even if I am the only one in the car.
With the advancement of technology today, it has come a long way since my Walkman days in the 80’s and I absolutely love it!
I love that this tiny power speaker is small enough to carry in my pocket, but loud enough to allow an entire room of people to enjoy the sound.
Aug 22, 2019 18:27I received this speaker just over a week ago and have floated it down the river and clipped it on my backpack during the Kids Adventure Games and while mountain biking. It appears to be as everything proof as advertised. It is super tough, has powerful sound and great battery life all packed into a small, slick package. It is now our go-to sound for anything we are doing outdoors.
Aug 17, 2019 09:45I'm always on the move so this speaker is perfect for me. Aug 21, 2019 11:17Keep your parties going long into the night with this LG XBOOM loudspeaker system. Bluetooth technology lets you stream content from your mobile device, while the karaoke function means you can have your own singalong with friends. Multicolor LED lighting adds to the fun, whether you're listening to your favorite playlist or belting out a pop song. With simple controls, this LG loudspeaker system offers effortless operation.
I decided to try something different after using mostly sony! I got to say this LG speaker blow my expectations. Good speaker, easy to carry, easy to use. The only con is that i cant download the app on my iphone for extra features so i have to use someone elses that has an android to use those cool features other than im already saving to get me another one
Aug 07, 2020 16:11Great for karaoke .. also I have as home theater can't go wrong with this Bluetooth lg speaker
Jan 17, 2020 16:26I'll get to the review title right off the bat. For some strange reason, LG continues to NERF the USB shuffle function. There is only one option, shuffle, which will shuffle songs from all folders located on the USB stick. Why they don't have both shuffle all and shuffle folder option is beyond me. Most devices or players have both shuffle options. So say you want to listen to a genre of music you have on a folder within your USB stick, but you also have other folders with different music, you cannot shuffle just one folder. It will shuffle songs from all folders. Dumb, just dumb, LG. LG has been doing this for a while now. I have the FH6 and RK8 and both of those also lack folder shuffle option.
As far as the RK7 compares to the older model FH6, the RK7 is a step back in many aspects. For one, the display is on one end of the unit. So no matter how you have the speaker oriented (horizontally or vertically), you cannot see the display when you are positioned in front of the speakers. Again, dumb, just dumb. The FH6 has the display running along the front edge, so no matter if the unit is horizontal or vertical, you can see the display.
The FH6 also has the DJ controls and wheel on the unit, while the RK7 has the DJ wheel and effects buttons completely stripped from the unit. They are only available via the LG Music Flow app and that is for Android users only. So if you have an Apple phone/tablet you are outta luck. The older FH6 also had the ability to download and create your own sound effects and that option has also been stripped from the RK7.
Here are some other features and options removed or changed on the RK7. Only one mic jack compared to two on the FH6. Strobe light in the middle of the unit not on the RK7. RK7 only has flashing lights over the two woofers. Voice canceller, key changer and USB record buttons that are on the FH6 are gone from the RK7. I also could not wirelessly link the RK7 to either the FH6 or the RK8 boom box. However, I could wirelessly link the RK8 boombox to the FH6.
One aspect where the RK7 is better than the FH6 is connectivity. The RK7 has RCA analog in and out, where as the FH6 only has analog in. The RK7 also has optical in to connect to a TV and that is not available on the FH6
Now this might sound like a really negative review of the RK7, but if I didn't have the FH6 I wouldn't know what all has been changed or removed. The RK7 does have a good sound quality with strong bass. The bass capability might even be just slightly stronger than the FH6, which has larger speakers. The FH6 is rated at 600 watts compared to the RK7 550 watts. These watts are seriously inflated, but they are similar in power. FH6 may have slightly better clarity, but both have a user EQ that can be tweaked. I did notice that using the User EQ when you turn the RK7 off, then later turn it on, the sound is very thin with not much bass. If you go into the Music Flow app or to the EQ options on the unit and change to a pre-set EQ, then back to the User EQ, the sound becomes fuller with more bass again. Not sure if this is a glitch inherent to all RK7 units or not, but it's kind of annoying.
If you have read this far you are probably surprised I gave the RK7 a 4/5. Again, standing on it's own, not being compared to the FH6, it's a good party speaker. It is basically designed to look like the smaller, portable PK7 and PK5. At the time of this review the RK7 is priced at a penny under $200 and that's the right price for this unit. I would never pay the $350 retail, but at the sale price it's a solid speaker. I would still recommend the FH6 over the RK7, but the FH6 is pretty hard to find now since it's a couple years older model wise.
Jul 03, 2019 06:26Are you kidding me worked perfect for a week then this error comes on the screen BT Error never goes away now I have to bring it back to the store .
Sep 14, 2020 19:04In the box: The Speaker system, a remote(with batteries), power cable fm antenna and the usual paperwork.
Specifications: Multi-point Bluetooth pairing, FM Radio, Karaoke Creator with Voice Filters, Dual 6.5-inch woofer, USB connection, LED display, Dance Lighting and weighs around 31lbs.
Inputs/outputs: Audio line out, Aux in, Optical, Mic Jack.
The Rk7 Xboom is a pretty rugged designed speaker system that has appropriate padding on all sides so that it may be used in a standing position or placed on its side (vertical/horizontal placement) which it detects.. It’s a bit heavier than expected but then again you don’t to move this around alot. On the right side of the speaker you will find the LED screen and a few buttons such as power on, play/pause, fast forward/rewind, volume up/down. All of these and more are also found on the supplied remote that came in the box. Towards the back of the speaker you will find the various inputs and output connections and the AC in port Specifically the USB port can be used for direct music playback from flashdrives as well it can charge your device.
Listening to music through the system is above average. Sound is crisp and smooth and nothing seems to be loss over Bluetooth transmission from your device. This stands as a testament to the aptx HD feature built into the speaker. All music pushed through this system just comes out sounding great, not to mention it can get very loud without the bass falling off at all, kudos to LG for that. I tested the FM radio feature and it seems to be pretty regular and I was able to pick up most stations I usually do within the area.
If you’re looking for good sounding speaker system with digital FM tuner, bluetooth, a built karaoke creator feature with strong sound out power , you can’t go wrong here. \
Nov 13, 2018 17:33This speaker is definitely amazing starter karoake machine or house party speaker,Great product, worked perfect with my TV,Xbox and wireless microphone,Super Loud Check,Crisp Sound Check.
Apr 05, 2020 10:36I was looking for a good size speaker that sounded well to bring to small event for church. This speaker has really impressed me with the sound quality, features and light effects. Plus it is light enough to carry between rooms without hurting your back.
Pros -
Great Sound
Equalizer
Lights
Quality
Features / Inputs
Application Functionality
Cons -
Power Cord Length
Remote Control Distance
Lights Only On Speaker Side
:: Setup ::
The setup was very easy, pretty much plug in play using bluetooth. Installing / Launching the app it quickly detected the speaker connection and able to modify settings. I would recommend going through the Application for custom settings versus trying to use the pad on the top of the speaker
:: Speaker ::
The speaker itself has deep bass and high treble , no distortion at high level output however I have not tried maxing out to lvl 100 yet. The lights are a nice addition however wish they were on all sides of the speaker tower not just where the speaker is facing. The rubber touch pad at top of speaker is very nice as you can easily switch function input when needed to go to MIC or radio setting. You can lay the speaker on its side or have it standing up as a tower. Either position works without issues and you are still able to get to the rubber touch pad easily. The back of the speaker has Aux in / Out along with Optical in , MIC , USB and Antenna. I am very impressed with the inputs this speaker provides.
:: Music Flow Application ::
The application has a lot of features and functionalities that one can easily become lost when trying to navigate through all the settings. the Sound Effect option allows to go through Equalizer for custom sound setting. There is a lighting effect option as well to set how you wish the lights to flow with the music. There are a lot of different version which was fun to go through them all. The Function option allows to switch between all 5 methods easily and even allows for further customization under the settings option. There is a feature to set this speaker as a "Multi Mode" versus "Dual Mode" however I did not have additional speakers to test this.
Overall I really enjoy this speaker and works great in medium size rooms. With the additional input features this allows it is a great buy for anyone looking for a good portable speaker for good size rooms.
Nov 23, 2018 19:18To be honest I didn't have high hopes for the speaker. but after playing with a few features and cranking up the volume. I am considering getting a second one for the multiple feature.
1. The bass is pretty good, but do remember this is a 6.5 subwoofer not a 12.
2. The options are much more than i realized. USB 64gb thumb drive works plugged right into the unit.
3. Party mode works well and love the way you can change the lights around depending on the mood.
4. This is pretty heavy so it actually doesn't rattle the floor. Will not tip over either. Can also be placed on its side for use. Changes the sound mode when this happens

I love this for my 10 year old. She thinks it’s a phone and does just as much as the phone without the monthly bill! Great size for her and has all of the best options.
Sep 20, 2019 17:54I finally decided to upgrade from their 2nd generation because it just wasn’t keeping up. This ipod 7 is just as fast, smooth, and dependable as it should be. I mainly use it with working out and in my truck.

I love it!!! I love all the space I have now!!! I don’t have to worry that I can’t fit songs that I buy or that I can’t update because I don’t have enough space.
Apr 23, 2021 17:13I love ❤️ my new iPod.I have 5 iPods with different cultures of music on them.and I enjoy playing them all.Thank you.Sincerly,Alina K Battle Creek Michigan
Jan 22, 2021 14:40I was rocking an iPod Classic that was modified to have an SSD installed for seven years and loved the device until the battery finally succumbed to age. I tried getting a replacement, but the screen was starting to go out as well, and I knew that I needed a replacement that could store the amount of music I collected over the years, but at the same time could be played without the reliance of iTunes, the bane of my existence.
Long story short, got FE File Explorer Pro ($4.99 on the App Store) was able to SSH directly into the hard drive of the iPod Touch, and was able to copy over all of my music with minimal hassle (had some file names that got too long and had to edit them before transferring). The music will not appear in Apple Music, however; FE File Explorer Pro comes with the ability to play many different types of music files, from MP3 and FLAC to even M4A and M4B audiobooks.
Even though Apple has painstakingly put iOS 12.3 onto this device, I removed all the extra apps that I was not interested in to solely leave it as a music device, and it's able to do a fantastic job at that. The device has a fantastic battery life, the bluetooth connection is strong, the screen is vibrant despite its low pixel count - for what I use it for, it's perfect. A bit pricey, but still worth it.
Jun 28, 2019 17:10I purchased this iPod to keep all of my music in one Physical place. Many times (running or camping) I do. It have access to my entire music library, but now I do. It is also a great back up device for your phone if it stops working and saves battery life for your phone if you use if for music consumption and podcasts. You can use it for all streaming services and it has plenty of memory. It’s not for everyone, but if you need a music dedicated device and don’t always have access to the cloud, this may be the device for you.
May 15, 2020 16:49Waited for ages until Apple finally released an Ipod with 256 GB of storage. I don't have an Iphone so the Itouch is exactly what I wanted. My Ipod Classic finally died; however, since it was only 128gb, I had run out of space and was at the point of deleting music off of it so this was a great upgrade. The only con I can say about it is that the Itouch has more bell and whistles than the Ipod and requires a little more figuring out the apps than the older models. Besides the additional storage, it does have camera and is wifi compatible. As an additional note, I did purchase a case and protective screen for it from a third party but would recommend the additional protection. If you don't have an Iphone, I would highly recommend.
Oct 09, 2020 17:04This was an upgrade from an older iPod touch with much less capacity. It's a pleasure to use. I have paired it with my AirPods Pro and can listen to audio books all over the house from one end to the other. Works great! Of course, it does a beautiful job of playing music which is what iPods were originally designed to do. I have owned many generations of iPods, and this one is not to be missed before they're gone.
Jul 31, 2020 17:32I had multiple IPOD Classics for many years before my last one finally stopped working. I was very nervous that I wouldn't have a way to play my nearly 15000 songs other than on my laptop. I was able to transfer all my songs to the IPOD Touch very easily and it works great. The 256 GB of memory is nice too. I can also now use my Airpods with this IPODZ Touch which I could not do with my IPOD Classic. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
Aug 18, 2021 08:41Nice entry level mpeg player (what we use it for). Pretty much the same as an iphone - except no reason to have a phone plan. Can be used for music, email, surfing the net - as long as you have a wireless network (like at home or at a fast food place).
Dec 02, 2021 02:08Get ready to party with this Sony ShakeX10 hi-fi system. Impressive audio is assured thanks to the precision acoustic design that delivers lots of sound pressure so that you get precise mids and plenty of bass. Bluetooth connectivity makes it easy to stream music directly to this Sony ShakeX10 hi-fi system.
Happy with this item. It takes some reservations about wanting to turn it up - neighbors around. But if there not !!!!
Aug 01, 2021 14:49It doesn't give off a ton of audio quality, but the amount of bass boom this thing carries more than speaks for itself. I can see myself enjoying this for a very long time. The lights coming off the back create wings on my walls. Playing call of duty has never sounded more appealing. The only negative thing I can say is that the aux inputs aren't very user friendly. (Especially for more modern technology) thankfully bluetooth somewhat makes up for that. But I wouldn't recommend this to anyone living in an apartment. My parents can hear the bass even at a low volume in the room next to mine. I'm not sure how it does at max volume. I only got to maybe 36 out of 62 before I decided I don't want to be deaf for the rest of my life. 5/5
Jan 24, 2020 16:21I purchased the stereo for my daughter, I tried it out myself and it’s a Great system.
Jan 17, 2020 23:59I bought this hoping for a sound system comparable to the muteki zx6 (which is the best stereo ever made), but it just doesn't have the sound or volume abilities I expected. Aside from that it's okay, the speakers are bigger than the bass is powerful, and the sound modes are a little strange. I recommend it still. The light show is pretty cool.
Nov 18, 2018 19:19I bought this sound system to use for hosting bar trivia and parties/events. I pack it up and transport it in storage totes, set up, use it to play music and speak to the crowd for 2+ hours, and then unhook, pack up, and transport everything, two or three times a week.
I have been very pleased with the product. The sound quality is better than the PA speakers and mixer setup that the other hosts generally use. The microphone volume is not as strong or adjustable as with a PA setup, but it is enough for medium to large restaurants depending on the acoustics. I have used predominantly Bluetooth but also the FM radio and the stereo RCA in from my phone, and the sound quality, all with good results.
I have, however, experienced one or two issues with Bluetooth and I believe interference from too many other Bluetooth and/or WiFi devices nearby. When hosting an event with ~40 people, the system disconnected from my phone's Bluetooth and had to be connected physically. This is the only time that has happened, but other times there has been noticeable audio ticks which do not seem to be caused by overheating. It is not consistent in starting, or even remaining, so may be caused by an unknown factor.
Setup and tear down are more complicated than a normal system because the lights are involved, and odd because the wires do not disconnect from the speakers, only the head unit. It's only been a few months, but the system seems to be holding up well to being constantly transported, set up, and unhooked.
The lights are a fun addition to the setup, making them more unique and, obviously, eye catching than a normal system. They pulse along to the music pretty well, though not with tight sync and choreography, they just seem to be reacting to bass patterns as they establish themselves. It definitely requires a dark room to get the best affect out of them, as the lights aren't incredibly strong, but in the right settings they definitely enhance the experience.
I don't have major complaints about the system, just small ones:
- The cables: why aren't audio and lights on the same proprietary cable? If you aren't going to combine them, let the speaker audio cables have standard plugs so they can be replaced with any speaker down the line.
- Optical audio input would be nice
- Whatever is causing the ticking problem
- The microphone input: plugging in or unplugging stops all sound output for a second, and the maximum volume is low
- Guitar/Mic 2 input: I've not used this yet, but the fact that it shares one volume control for both mic inputs could lead to issues
- The rear lights: Great concept, just good execution. They could use at least one more color, and maybe changing patterns/rotation
- No mounting holes on the speakers. This means there's not a simple, stable way out of the box to get them on stands like you would do with a PA speaker.
Sep 03, 2018 15:07Love it, not sure why they stopped making it. Glad I got it when I did. This little system slams, perfect for an apartment. Plenty of bass. The lights get a bit repetitive but they shut off, so all good. Again I love this system.
Jul 31, 2021 09:40This system is doing everything I hoped for and a little more. Being in Houston, it is really hard to enjoy this outdoors as much as I would like but when I've gotten the chance, I always take it out to enjoy some BBQ and tunes. Very happy with this purchase.
Jul 08, 2020 09:51Perfect for events and provides quality sound great
Oct 16, 2021 07:18Only at Best BuyListen to music on the go with this Insignia NS-CSPBTF1-BK speaker that features a durable construction for easy transport and a splash-proof design for defense against water. Bluetooth technology lets you wirelessly stream music from compatible devices.
I bought this product for my husband as a gift from me and he really likes it so much. He always use this everyday, he brings this anywhere where he wanted for it's so convenient to carry.
May 15, 2021 15:16This little speaker sounds loud for its size. Battery is okay, but could be improved. Definitely a keeper.
May 26, 2021 23:38This is perfect speaker while I am at work listening to Pandora
Aug 29, 2018 18:57I just received my speaker today so I don't have an opinion on it's durability or how long it will last. It's tiny and cute. I wasn't expecting it to be so small, but I'm ok with any size so I didn't bother to look. I was most concerned about the volume. I saw a review that said it was better than Sony and thought it'd be worth the try. It will work. It's pretty much the same max volume as a $10 speaker from Walmart, if that helps. It's barely loud enough to drown out the stairwell my bedroom is under in my apt complex. But after buying a ridiculously quiet white noise machine from here, I am def happy it will actually work. Hope this helps anyone concerned about volume. It's def worth $10. I've paid $25 for some with much less volume from Meijer.
Sep 03, 2020 22:40This is the same company that made my DVD Player, and they fail to disappoint
Jun 30, 2017 17:50I have to say I was shocked at the durability the smooth the feel of this on the ease everything it was amazing I paid $9.99 it is loud it’s clear I love love it!!! Oh I almost forgot, it came quickly, has its own little charger cord and the little holder like the old hand held portable radio’s! Cute really do like it will buy more for my grandkids and kids!!!
Jan 23, 2021 11:01This little speaker is really good for the size. I use in an old vehicle without a radio or speakers and it has a good sound.
Aug 30, 2019 15:55This thing really puts out some good sound. Especially for the money. I got it on sale for half price @ $9.99.
It has plenty of highs, mid range and bass. And it’s water resistant too. Nice to carry in a backpack for when you need it or even just leave it in the shower or on the back yard patio.
I might go buy a few more at that price!
Nov 06, 2019 16:52Get the party started with this LG 700W hi-fi shelf speaker system. A 7-inch subwoofer produces deep, detailed bass, while the 1.57-inch tweeter enriches your listening experience with crisp high tones. Featuring Bluetooth, USB and 3.5mm AUX connectivity, this LG 700W hi-fi shelf speaker system streams music from a variety of wired and wireless sources.
This is a great system for the price and wattage. Very loud. Im very pleased. Has great bass for $200. Holds a strong bluetooth connection with my phone. I turn the volume to 26 and it shakes my deer park 16oz water bottle. I can hear clearly on both floors of my house and i live in a 3 bedroom. Every room. I can feel the bass in my chest in the same room and in the walls and floor on the second floor. Depending on the song i can even hear and feel it outside when letting my dogs out.
Oct 21, 2021 13:17The LG XBOOM is truly an awesome system. I added it to replace an old SONY system with Subwoofer, and added the LG Soundbar with Subwoofer, along with the LG SPK8-S Rear Surround Speakers. I did that to replace my old Yamaha Surround System. Now the sound I'm looking for is back to normal. It goes well with the LGTV. My favorite brand for 11 years now.
Jul 06, 2021 21:15really went over my expectations based on the price! OK so this is probably not gonna satisfy the most pickiest of audiophiles, but this is a GREAT sounding system for this price point, and i'm very happy with my purchase here. Its in my man cave which is a fairly large room with tall ceilings and its plenty loud enough! love the blue tooth feature, I run my tv audio to the aux cable and that sounds great as well.
Dec 31, 2020 11:47Flat, Muffled sound from most audio sources and songs due to poor quality speakers and lack of equalizer adjustments. Everything else works fine. It's just pointless to have poor sound. I had a portable boom box from decades ago that sounded way better than this. If you're a mechanic or machinist in a noisy shop, it might work for you. Don't say I didn't warn you. Read other negative reviews. Upgrading to Sony.
Aug 12, 2021 15:27Set up right out of the Box was Simple attach the speakers ,

If your a Music lover ,this is an Great Sounding ,Out of box System for you.
Single CD player tray
Oct 05, 2019 16:27The sound quality and bass in excellent and I would recommend this purchase and the price was cheap and reasonable
Jan 01, 2021 17:38Ohhh, how I had HOPED this system was at least as good as the reviews said: it ISN'T, it's BETTER! I am soooo happy with my music, whether it's on a CD or the radio! Both have excellent quality of pure, rich, crisp sound. And the bass? Forget about it: wonderful! Of course, the bass is truer and richer on CD's that are made in the last 25-30 years. Old Beatles music pre-Sgt. Pepper isn't as rich bcs of the production value. But! It still sounds great! That said, my Gregorian Chant, Lila Downs, classical cello solos, Joni Mitchell, Rolling Stones (late 60's upward), Aretha (need I say more?), the Killers, movie sound tracks, New Age beta music, Keith Urban, Sting, etc, sound PERFECT! Heaven!
It was easy to set up, too. And it's not a small unit, either, so think about the space it'll occupy before you get it.
The unit came very well packaged. No damage. And, the system is attractive and doesn't look like a gaudy spaceship. It's Adult. I have no problems with operating it or reading the dials. The FM antenna needs to be moved around sometimes depending on the strength of the signal, but what else is new? They're all like that. Plus, there's an awesome Christian FM station that I love; I thought they were only on AM! I am blessed with this Champ of a system and I'm still pinching myself!
Apr 24, 2020 21:26Great product. Reasonable price. Easy to set up and well made. Very please with my purchase. I got this to attach my portable turn table to. I use it for everything to include watching movies and the radio. For the price u can’t Beat it. I got this shipped right to my home from Beet But for free.

This Pyle Pro speaker system has Bluetooth compatibility, so you can connect wirelessly to audio from smartphones, laptops and tablets.
I purchased for a friend that loves it. He uses it for gatherings and outside events and says it works great. It has amazing sound and it has all he needs to get the party started.
May 21, 2021 17:19We bought this so people could hear someone talk over all of the manufacturing equipment and I can tell you this does the job!
Oct 10, 2021 18:57I usually don’t write reviews, but I was so disappointed with this speaker that I had to warn prospective buyers! The speaker was no loud at all, it was at most a little higher than my Echo Alexa speaker. I troubleshooted the speaker thinking that maybe aux/Bluetooth/etc settings where different, but they were all very soft. I ended up buying the Samsung MX T50 and it was worth the upgrade.
Dec 03, 2021 16:18Excellent speaker, perfect for backyard parties, and i got it on sale, a win, win.
Aug 11, 2021 06:21Bought for outdoors in my patio for family entertainment, it was a nice product and not disappointed as of yet.
Jul 09, 2021 16:51This P.A. system packs a punch. Pyle quality that I grew up knowing. Easy installation and setup with a wireless microphone? Great savings and perfect for what I'm using it for.
Nov 18, 2020 17:47Everyone was very helpful for me. Don't remember names of young men but they were very helpful for me . It was a Christmas gift for my grandson
Jan 01, 2021 18:44Have an older model and love this one. Has more options.
Aug 16, 2017 18:40Enjoy big sound with the super-compact SRS-XB13 wireless speaker, featuring EXTRA BASS, a waterproof and dustproof design and up to 16 hours of battery life.
Sony’s XB13 is here, and it is tinier than ever. It’s half the size of a mechanical pencil! The XB13 is an ultra-portable mini speaker that packs heavy bass for the size. Along with the portability, the XB13 is waterproof/dustproof so it is great for taking it out to the beach or camping. I have used the XB13 for a couple of days now and am satisfied with my experience so far.
*TLDR at the bottom
=============================================
IN THE BOX/SET-UP
The box the XB13 comes from is tiny. I have other mini speakers and the XB13 is the smallest one I have owned by far. Along with the paperwork, you also get a tiny USB-C charging cable. Kudos to Sony for going with USB-C. I’m not a fan of the size but fortunately, I do have other USB-C cables laying around my home.
Set-up is as simple as taking the speaker out of the box and turning it on. No account or waiting for firmware updates required. Sony says the XB13 comes with “Fast pair technology,” but from testing how quickly the speaker connects to my phone, “fast” is too exaggerated. While my phone does detect and connect to the speaker without going looking for it in Bluetooth settings, there is still a bit of a delay present. Not too big to annoy someone but enough for it to be faster compared to other devices.
=============================================
DESIGN:
I seriously enjoyed the simple yet aesthetic design of the XB13. The material used on the outside is soft to the touch and overall seems like it will last with everything I put it through. The strap doesn’t feel cheap and I am sure it will last as well. I like how Sony included a way to better disperse the sound by adding the slots at the bottom. Buttons are well placed and can easily be distinguished in dark places. Right next to the buttons is the charging port which can be revealed by lifting the port cover. There is no AUX on the speaker. AUX is dying but I still would’ve liked it implemented onto this speaker in case I need to better conserve phone battery or to limit random disconnections. But overall, I enjoyed the well-built design of the XB13.
=============================================
SOUND QUALITY:
Sound is adequate. I was expecting a louder sounding speaker but turning the sound up I noticed it didn’t get as loud as I expected. The XB13 still sounds good for the most part, but if you are looking to use the speaker in a large space, you might want to find a different one. Lows, mids, and highs are balanced pretty well too. This speaker is perfect for small areas such as a room, camping site, or next to you by the beach. But what did surprise me was the bass. Sony is known to have bass-heavy speakers and this one is no different. I found the bass to be excellent. Of course, you won’t be getting the EXTRA bass-heavy sound like in a bigger speaker but for the size, the bass is certainly remarkable.
=============================================
OTHER NOTES:
• I was hoping that this speaker would work with the Sony Music Center(for EQ stuff) app but unfortunately, I could not get it to work. I don’t think Sony has added this speaker to their app just yet.
• The XB13 sounded great on the music genres I tried it out with. Hip-Hop, EDM, Rock, Metal, Latin, Pop.
• The XB13 can be paired up with another XB13 for a stereo sound.
• The XB-13 has a 16-hour battery life which has managed to last me a couple of days before needing charging.
• The speaker also contains a mic for hands-free calling.
=============================================
CONCLUSION/TLDR:
Overall, Sony has done an excellent job with the XB13. Sound is not as loud as I was expecting but the bass was certainly surprising and did bring that bass-heavy sound that most Sony speakers have. The XB13 would work best with smaller spaces such as a room, camping site, or beside you on the beach. Some of the notable features are the 16-hour battery life, waterproof/dustproof, and the ability to be paired up with another XB13 for a stereo sound. If you are in the market for portable a small speaker that is waterproof and contains an overall good sound, I do recommend you try this one out.
Jun 01, 2021 19:55PROS:
Excellent build quality, aesthetics, portable design, controls, battery life, multiway strap, and audio is crisp and clear for multimedia watching as you can easily hear what people are saying even at 2x speed. Music is also solid, which is a step above good, but below great.
CONS:
Despite the marketing boasting about EXTRA BASS it is very poor. Especially, if you are a bass head. It does better when placed on a hard object over a soft one. Sound quality for music is solid but can come across slightly tinny. But that is also what I expect for something this size and is still better than you’d get from your tablet or phone. Also, when in a loud environment it doesn’t do as well as the max volume does get loud but you lose out on some of clearness of the vocals. But it isn’t peaking or anything like that.
SOUND QUALITY:
The sound comes across as open and fills the room nice. We can thank the DSP for that. It is relatively well balanced. Voices are forefront, then instruments, and I would say that mids are the most pronounced followed closely by highs and bass being about equal. But in general, everything sounds about equal. Which is good. Bass itself isn’t going to blow your socks off. Especially, if you are a bass head. I wouldn’t classify it as poor, but closer to adequate. Bass is semi-accurate and is enough to add to the music without detracting from it. But don’t believe the EXTRA BASS marketing. Mids and highs sound great and comes across as quite accurate with good texture and depth. Which was very surprising to me and why I think it does so well with multimedia. I noticed a very mild amount of bloat but no congestion, muddiness, or brightness. Things at times could sound a bit tinny. I found putting it on a hard surface did better than when it was on a soft surface due to the way it emits sound. All sounds were very crisp, but especially spoken content which again makes it great for vocal centric songs and multimedia. Imaging was minimal. Where I could pull out vocals and instruments. But I couldn’t tell their locations. For the most part sounds were natural but slightly processed, especially instruments. Soundstage was small. My first impressions weren’t great. But after putting it through the paces I found it did a good job. I found that for multimedia use that it did better than for music. I could hear people talking, even when a lot is going on, and pull apart individual people. Which usually just blends in. But I would miss out on some of the nuances of sound. I’d rate the overall sound as a 7.5/10.
CONTROLS:
As mentioned, before they are located on the back of the device. Starting with the Power Button. When you first power it on, by just tapping the power button, the LED light above the power button will turn green, and then it will automatically go into pairing mode denoted by flashing blue LED’s over the Bluetooth button. Then you just go into your Bluetooth settings and select the XB13 and it will give a small chime telling you you’re connected. It’s extremely easy. If you press the power button it will turn off without a chime. If you power, it on after it is connected to a device you will see the power LED illuminate, the bluetooth button will flash, and then you will hear a chime when it is connected. This process takes about 6 seconds on an iPhone. It does support fast pair but that is for Android only. And I don’t own an Android so I can’t test that.
Next is the Bluetooth button. If you quick press it will go into pairing mode denoted by flashing blue LED’s. If you hold it will go into ST pairing (stereo pairing) so you can connect it to a second device by doing the same thing. Pretty simple stuff.
Third is the play/pause button. If you press it once it will play/pause. If you double press it will skip forward. If you triple press, it will go backward. If you have a call coming in and press it once it will answer the call and if you hold it when a call is coming in it will decline the call.
Fourth and fifth, you have your volume down and volume up buttons. Hopefully no explanation is needed there.
Last, you have the little rubber port to access the USB C charging. It creates a good seal and has a rubber string, so it should be breaking easily. The battery is rated for 16 hours and total charge time is 4.5 hours, as per their spec sheet. I didn’t have enough time to fully test how accurate this was. On your smartphone you can see how much battery is left. Which is a nice feature.
When I tried, I could NOT connect it to the Sony Music App. I thought it was supposed to be supported. Which means A. I was wrong and it isn’t supported. B. I tried before the app was updated to support it. Or the longstanding C. I wasn’t smart enough to add it. I’ll let you decide which. All I know is that my Sony SRS-SB43 can connect to the Sony App which gives you greater customizability and adjustable EQ but costs like a lot more and just figured with this being the SRS-SB13 that it would also work the same?
Overall, controls are very intuitive and work every time. The only “issue” and I use that term lightly here is that sometimes there is some mild delay between pressing a button it and fully registering on my phone. That is usually a side effect of Bluetooth in general. I can’t think of anything they could add to make it better outside of an adjustable EQ since people go crazy for those things. Personally, if it doesn’t sound good stock to me then it just doesn’t sound good. I shouldn’t have to adjust the EQ. I find this sounds good and that isn’t needed. So I’d give the controls a 10/10.
May 31, 2021 18:30The Sony SRSXB13 bluetooth speaker is super portable, simple to use, and sounds good. This is a very small cylindrically shaped speaker with a small footprint that almost looks like a small coffee mug. It has a single speaker at the top and a passive radiator at the bottom. The buttons are located along the side and provide controls such as power on/off, bluetooth/stereo connection, play/pause, and volume up/down. It comes with a strap to allow you to hang the speaker. In the box you’ll also find a usb-c charging cable and the instruction manual.
This speaker easily fits in a bag and is very lightweight. I hung it on my bicycle handlebars and listened to tunes while riding around town. Then I hung it on the shower caddy while I showered. With an IP67 rating, you can take it anywhere with you without worrying about moisture and dust.
What I like about this speaker is that it is simple to use, without needing to connect to an app. In fact, there is no app to connect this speaker with. You just pair it via bluetooth and you’re done. No app to fiddle with.
This speaker sounds good for its size. The small mono speaker at the top combined with the equally small passive radiator manage to squeeze as much sound out as they possibly could. The bass is decent without being overly emphasized. The mids are clear. At max volume, it is fairly loud, but not loud enough to use for a larger setting when there are many people speaking in a room such as during a party. It is better used in a smaller gathering. Even running my table fan, the speaker at max volume had difficulty overcoming the noise. If you want more volume and separation, you can purchase another SRSXB13 speaker for a wireless stereo pair.
Battery life is rated at 16 hours, which is plenty for a day of listening. It takes up to 4.5 hours to fully recharge the battery which is quite long considering such a small speaker.
When watching video, I noticed a very slight audio/video lag.
The speaker has a microphone and can be used as a speakerphone. I tried this out and folks on the other end told me that I sounded far away, like my voice was coming from the background somewhere.
In summary, the Sony SRSXB13 is great for those who want a bluetooth speaker that is lightweight, ultraportable, easy to use, and still sounds good. It’s a capable speaker for small gatherings, but can easily get drowned out since its max volume doesn’t get very loud.
May 26, 2021 01:50Sony SRS-XB13 portable rechargeable Bluetooth speaker is filled with impressive bass for its size. It’s all due to the passive radiator that work with speaker to enhance the low-end tones for its extra bass.
What’s in the box: Sony XB13 speaker, USB Type C short cable, Quick start guide
Sony XB13 measures approx. 76mm diameter and 95mm tall. Weighs approx. 255grams.
Setup is very simple. Charge it for few minutes with the included USB C cable. No power brick included, so use your phone charger if you have latest android fast charger for quick charging. Turn on the power button and discover devices on your mobile devices. If you own an android device, simply turn the device on, and your phone will prompt you to connect as this device has fast pair technology that requires no pin or complex pairing. For iOS devices, just go to settings and Bluetooth option and select this device to complete pairing. This uses Bluetooth 4.2 and has max range of approximately 33 feet.
Comes in 4 different colors (Blue, Black, Cream and orange). I got the blue color and it’s so cool that matches my backpack. All the buttons (power, Bluetooth, play/pause, volume + -) and charging port are at the back. Skip option is supported by tapping the play/pause button twice and back option by three times when hearing music. Same play/pause button is using to answer the phone call for handsfree function.
Battery is advertised at 16 hours but it depends on the volume that it is set. If the volume is set at 100% then on our testing it was around 8.5 hours of continuous use. 16 hours may be around 45- 50% volume level. But this little speaker sounds great and has the punch at 60%. Takes 4 hours to fully charge from 0%.
Speaker comes with a multiway cool strap (not cheap lanyard) that comes handy to attach it to backpack during travel and makes carrying around very easy due to its small size. Base of speaker is rubberized and sticks well on glass table and does not move on high volume settings. Speaker is IP67 rated for both water and dust and can be used in the shower room or in swimming pool. This speaker can withstand up to 3.2feet of water depth so if you accidentally drop the speaker in pool, nothing to worry as long as the charging ports are sealed and is not left for more than 30 minutes. It does float when dropped in water so you can immediately pick it up and wipe off.
Sound quality is great for the small portable speaker. Its due to its downwards facing speaker and sound diffusion processor with DSP Technology.
Also, supports hands free calling so if you receive a call while listening to music just answer the phone with its inbuilt microphone. Call quality is clear and both parties can hear loud and clear with no issues during testing.
If you need stereo sound for parties this model supports multi speaker connection/ Stereo Pairing. Just add another XB13 speaker for stereo sound. To add, just hold down the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds on one speaker and stereo pair light will go on. Just go to the other speaker do the same thing, add it to the phone and both will be paired to stereo pair mode.
Pros:
+Affordable portable speaker
+Extra bass
+Great Battery life
+Stereo Pairing/Multi speaker connection
+IP67 water and dust proof
+Smart home compatible with
Cons:
-Missing sleep mode or automatic power off mode
Overall, great little portable Bluetooth speaker with extra bass that won’t disappoint anyone.
May 24, 2021 18:51I've already got the X12 and love it, and this is the updated version.
Compact little speaker packs a good punch for it's size. (see soup can pic for reference) I've thrown it into the kids bathtub and still works great. Its perfect for cup holders, so if you're into boating/kayaking/etc where you want music to be secure and its ok to get wet, then this kind of speaker is for you. The strap is quite strong and versatile so you can mount it off most things with confidence that you won't lose it.
I personally put it in my kayak cup holder and then have the strap around a loop on the boat so if i were to capsize i won't lose it.
Battery life is really great and phone range is quite good. I've put my phone on the table, and tossed the speaker onto my lawnmower and took it all over the yard without issue.
Easy to pair to the phone, and if you've got 2 of them you can link them together to have stereo sound.
Unfortunately, while they seem basically the same, you cannot link it to the x12 or other similar Sony speakers. I don't understand why this is, because the only real change i can tell between the X12 and X13 is it went from micro USB connector to USB-C.
So if you've already got the older one, don't really need to upgrade and you are better off getting another of the same one, so you can go into stereo mode.
That being said, if you do not have one already, pick up a couple of these because with phones and more devices going USB C these days, you can reduce the amount of cables you need to carry around
Jun 01, 2021 09:37This little speaker has some of the best sound I've ever heard from a bluetooth speaker at this price range. The driver Sony employs is of a very high quality. The sound coming out of this diminutive speaker is very satisfying and can get quite loud. The bass is quite good, highs are clear, and mids are solid. Of course it's a small speaker so I'm not expecting it to sound like party. It's a great sounding mini speaker, considering how small it is. It is loud indoors. Haven't yet tried outdoors so not sure how it is out there. Bluetooth connectivity is a breeze. Battery life is good. The main selling point for this little guy is it's portability and durability. Nice rubberized texture button press is good. Sony engineers nailed it on this little gem of a speaker. The buttons are easy to push and well laid out. I have been listening to this with music and movies for the past few hours while charging it at the same time. I like the cute little carry handle, never seen that feature before. There is a small rubber ring at the bottom to keep the unit from sliding around. This is the same exact speaker as the Sony XB10 with few minor changes. The waterproof rating got upgraded to IP67 which is negligible unless you really, really want a speaker able to be submersed underwater. It’s very handy with its handle that’s hanging down.
It comes with a USB-C charging cable. Battery life is also great. I am going on 2 days without charging it, streaming via bluetooth about 3 hours per day from phone, and still going. I want to see how long it will really go. Impressive! Also it can be paired up with another XB13 for stereo sound. The volume can continue to be increased on them even if the volume on the source reaches it's limit, just by using the plus or minus signs on the side of each speaker to turn them up or down individually; or if the speakers are paired, only one speaker needs to be turned up for both speakers to increase/decrease in volume. Get two or more in this compact and portable size for great surround-sound and functionality!
This is an excellent product for the price. It's made by Sony, so you are going to get what you pay for. Extremely affordable. Thank you Sony so very very much for living up to your name!!! They may not be top of the line, expensive speakers, but they are definitely the next best thing. No distortion at all at full volume and nice, rich bass. Not sure what the folks who complained about the sound were expecting, but I have zero complaints about the sound. Yes, this is not a speaker that you are going to use in a dancehall for a party. It is perfect for your home or patio. It can be too loud for certain circumstances, but then you can just adjust the volume down. For the price, none better can be found! All in all, I like the speakers and recommend them.
Jun 01, 2021 22:30I’m holding Sony’s XB13 EXTRA BASS compact BLUETOOTH speaker in my hand. It’s hard to imagine squeezing so many features into a 3.6” x 3” x 3” great sounding, rugged, go anywhere (IP67 waterproof/dustproof), colorful, Bluetooth speaker. I owned an earlier Sony effort at this type of speaker (XB01), so I’m no longer surprised at how good these speakers can sound. At the time I questioned how Sony could break the laws of physics and get so much sound and such deep bass out of this tiny (8 oz) package. Now, the new version boasts 16 hour battery life, even more bass, and Sony has made it easier to connect to my phone and to companion speakers. In fact, two connected speakers allows for a stereo soundstage.
SETUP and CONTROLS: Sony provides Instructions but I didn’t bother reading them. It’s so quick and easy to connect, I thought I’d jump into some music.
Bluetooth connection was immediate to my iPhone 12. I was able to walk away from this XB13 up to 35ft before I got hiccups in the connection.
Hidden under the rubberized door is a USB TYPE-C port for charging the 16 hour battery. (cable included, no charging wart).
I can send any music, podcasts, audiobooks, phone or Facetime audio to the Sony and significantly expand the reach of my phone.
PERFORMANCE:
The Sony SRS-XB13 gets loud when kept close by or in a smaller room. How loud depends on your unique assessment. I can offer an impartial test using an iPhone sound meter App from NIOSH. Keep in mind that an increase of 10dB of sound pressure is 2X as loud. [A library is 40dB; freeway traffic is 70dB; rock concert is 110dB] In a bathroom where there is some reinforcement from the nearby walls, the Sony XB13 could reach 86dB. Out in my large, open family room, it averaged 79dB. My bathroom volume was loud in my opinion. My family room, not as much if a didn’t get closer. The sound is quite decent, and when used at a limited distance or in an average to small room, it sounds great. Voices were all intelligible. A wide variety of music sounds very good. Of course, all my comments regarding volume are much less an issue if you pair up two of these. The space they’ll fill expands significantly.
SUMMARY: When used in scenarios that are reasonable for its size and power capacity, the Sony is a great performer. We love it hanging from a shower head. where we can be entertained and encouraged to indulge in some personal time. It pops into a car cup holder, but just be sure you don’t inhibit that bass reinforcement located at the base of the speaker. When we travel, we’re looking forward to music in our hotel room that doesn’t require headphones at the end of the day. These speakers make a nice side-table speaker to bring the sound of a TV (with Bluetooth output) much closer to compensate for hearing problems. Dangle it from a cabinet handle and it makes kitchen cleanup more fun. Keep in mind, the XB13 doesn’t care if you’re into music, audiobooks, podcasts or you spend hours on the phone with family. We’re enjoying it.
May 24, 2021 18:57Sony - XB13 EXTRA BASS Compact BLUETOOTH waterproof/dustproof speaker was tested for over 5 days. This little compact speaker can fit in the cupholder of your car, be placed in a small or midsize room. To connect the Bluetooth you turn on your wifi on your cellphone, press the Sony on button, then select the pairing button. It took less than 5 seconds for my cellphone to recognize the Sony speaker and the speaker connected quickly. The volume was pretty good for a small Bluetooth. As you can see it fits in the palm of my hand. I watched movies, listened to songs, and podcasts. While watching or listening to your song or video of choice, you can pause, fast forward, and play by pressing the buttons on the Sony Bluetooth. I even walked away from my cellphone while holding the speaker to see how far I could go. I was able to go from my living room all the way to the bedroom. This speaker can be paired with additional speakers or used alone. There is a cap that covers the port to charge the battery. This helps to prevent dust from damaging the Bluetooth. The battery life on the Sony Speaker can last for at least 16 hours, depending upon the use of the Bluetooth. Not bad at all.
PROS:
Small
Good sound for the size
Pairs fasts
Battery Life
CONS: None I can think of at the moment.
May 30, 2021 18:48Combine all of your entertainment options in one small setup with this Toshiba micro component system. Bluetooth compatibility lets you share from your devices, and a USB port offers connections with MP3 players and computers. This Toshiba micro component system features a CD player for going old-school at your next party.
This stereo is perfect for me. Very easy to use and has excellent sound. I am very pleased also with the ease of ordering this in the store and how quick it arrived.
Oct 31, 2021 04:48I have this product in my bed room, it’s good to listen to tune but not a lot of cd slots. You don’t want to be in the bedroom the rest of your life. So, one Cd to play at a time is good for me.
Apr 23, 2021 17:10My mother wanted a small stereo for her room, so that she could listen to the radio or her CD's. This is the perfect birthday present for her!
May 07, 2021 15:30This is amazing. Good sound.I bought just for fm radio and could not be happier
May 28, 2021 17:43This is exactly what I was looking for at a very reasonable price.
Apr 02, 2021 17:05Compact, fits nicely on self. Good sound. Has usb component.
Oct 20, 2021 08:32Have one already, bought a second one due to the quality and value for the money.
Jan 04, 2021 08:31I am very satisfied with my Toshiba combo system, it is perfect for my application.
Jan 29, 2021 17:49Crank up your favorite tunes with this Sharp micro shelf system. It's compatible with CD-R, CD-RW, WMA and MP3 formats, and its Bluetooth capability lets you stream music from your Apple or Android device. This five-disk Sharp micro shelf system comes with a remote to make toggling through tracks simple.
Okay, so I'm an old lady (65, thank you very much), and I had this thing out of the box and hooked up in short order. I have it cranked with my personal favorite litmus test, Steve Earle's "Copperhead Road." I gotta tellya: For the money and its size, this is one great little unit. That bottom end is nice and thumpy, the highs clear and sparkly, and Steve Earle's growl is perfectly growly.
If you've still got a stack of cd's you aren't ready to dump yet, get yourself one of these. Much groovy awesomness.
Aug 25, 2020 12:43This Sharp 5 Disc Micro System has surprisingly great quality sound. If you didn’t know the size of the unit, you certainly wouldn’t know by the sound. It sounds sooo good. I’m really enjoying it. I like how the discs are loaded in front! Yes, it holds and plays 5 discs! It is easy to set up and use. It’s a perfect size for the shelf in my entertainment unit. I’m so pleased with this purchase!
Nov 06, 2020 18:40The sound is so much greater than I expected from a small bookshelf unit. It fits perfectly exactly where I wanted to place it. Some functions can only be done by using the remote but not a problem. The remote works fine and does what is designed to do. Haven’t figured out how to mix the selections on CDs but the directions are clear when I am ready to use that function. Very happy with the unit.
Jul 17, 2020 17:02I was very surprised at how good this sounds.. Got it to replace an old mini shelf system that was failing, needed something to play LP's, CD's and Radio, plus got modern convenience of Bluetooth and USB music playback! This 50 watt system is very powerful, and much clearer sound compared to the old one. Bass can be turned up to thump.. it's deceiving how big the sound coming out of this small shelf system can be.
I bought an Insignia 6' mini jack to RCA cable with a set of Insignia RCA couplers to hook up the turntable as the audio input is in the front (see picture), no RCA inputs in the back. Absolutely no background noise. 5 CD changer, full function remote that you don't have to point right at the system, this continues to amaze me. You'll need 2 AAA batteries for the remote.
Jul 14, 2021 19:38I loved the system. The volume is awesome. The bass is perfect, coming from small speakers. I would recommend this system for someone, who listens to music alot.
Nov 15, 2020 08:43VERY SLEEK AND NICE. GOOD PURCHASE FOR ME!!! SO FAR I HAVE BOUGHT 90% OF ALL MY ELECTRONICS FROM BEST BUY AND HAVE NOT COME INTO ANY MAJOR ISSUES. THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME.
Aug 21, 2021 11:14I love my little Sharp 5 CD changer. It's a perfect size and serves my needs perfectly. I have a large CD collection which I am not ready to give. Thanks
Apr 05, 2019 18:50Better sound than my Boss radio! Love the features, play modes. Looks great, many compliments from friends.
Aug 28, 2020 16:16Dance to your favorite beats, whether they're on a playlist, a CD or cassette tape, with this Sharp mini stereo system . This multifunction machine revives your old albums with multiple playing options, and Bluetooth compatibility works with modern smartphones. The two-way detachable speaker system delivers smooth sounds from this Sharp mini stereo system.
Works great bass is amazing love everything about this system
Apr 29, 2021 21:26I love the music quality. It is nice to have a cd player, radio and cassette player all in one. My only problem is that I can not find a power button on the actual unit. Usually your first set of batteries come with the remote, but since they didn't I have not been able to find the power button. I love the unit other then that. I have even hooked up the Bluetooth to the device. The surround sound makes it sound like the bands are right in the house with me.
Jan 16, 2021 12:16It has been so long since I 've been able to get lost in my music. But with the 5 CD changer I am in music heaven. Being able to play 5 CDs was the reason I purchased this item. The system does a lot and it has taken me a bit to get familiar with all the buttons. ECO will turn off main display. Have not figured out to keep the time on the display....but I will. And the music plays on.
Mar 12, 2017 13:08This is a very nice component. The sound is fantastic and I thoroughly enjoy listening to my favorite music, whether it’s cd, cassette or radio. I am impressed. Also, I don’t have to change my cd after it ends because I have 4 more that will play.
Jan 02, 2021 12:32I purchased this stereo system, it was not what I expected. Without raising the base to level five sound sounds like crap. So you have to raise the base level to level five and it still sounds like crap you have to push the button for extra bass in order for you. To hear the sound that you should normally here at level five without extra bass. When you hit the button for extra bass it’s still not loud enough. When you hit the button to lower the volume level of the base level it will not go back down to level one it stays locked. And when you hit the CD open up the door for city one it opens up and closes instantly before you can even put the CD in. The font lettering on the stereo system is sooooooo small in print Font you can barely even read what it says the stereo system it’s not worth the price that they’re selling it for very disappointed also you cannot store your favorite radio stations with a remote control. You have to search for your favorite radio station. System is hard to set up for Bluetooth. Very unhappy with this product As you can see in the pictures you can’t even see the font lettering even up close in the picture. This is a crappy product. Not worth $219 with taxes
Jul 31, 2021 10:27The music quality is very good. So easy to pair up the Bluetooth and i love the extra bass. Makes the music louder.
Jun 12, 2020 15:51This stereo has all of the features that I was looking for. I can load 5 cds and start them playing. They will play progressively on their own for a long time while I work. I also have a large collection of cassettes from the 80s. It can play them too. The fm works ok. I will add a tv antenna and cable, which will plug into the back. There is one thing that I really do not like about it. You have to use the remote to 'boot' it up. Tell me what if the batteries corrode in the remote.
Apr 05, 2019 22:08This Sharp mini stereo is just what I wanted. Compact but performs like a larger system. I have tested all components and have been satisfied with it.
I suggest that before you operate this mini stereo that you read the instructions and the online Q&As. This definitely helped me to avoid issues since I was aware of setup and became familiar with the main unit and remote prior to using it. A lot of buttons to push but taking the time to learn the mini stereo system was beneficial.
Sep 01, 2020 11:04Host a singing party for your little one at home with this KIDdesigns Frozen II Bluetooth karaoke machine. The internal memory lets you store hours of music to give participants a sizeable list of hits to choose from, while a multicolor LED light show adds to the fun. This KIDdesigns Frozen II Bluetooth karaoke machine is powered by rechargeable batteries for cord-free convenience.
I came to Best Buy to buy this karaoke machine because reviews on Amazon said that this unit came with two mics. That was crucial to my purchase because I have two grand daughters. Only one mic was in the box. I came back to this site to be sure I wasn't reading wrong. In the Q and A someone asked does it have one or two mics... The answer was 2. In the reviews someone said that TWO mics came with the unit and that it was perfect for the same reason I bought it.
So...how does my grand daughter get the second mic? Why do some have the second mic and others don't? Who do I contact? There doesn't seem to be a place to request a second mic be sent.
This would have got 5 stars...but it didn't deliver on what was said would be sent.
May 06, 2020 21:34Our oldest great-granddaughter loves this karaoke. She spent half of Christmas Day singing and dancing with it. A truly great toy and gift. Well-made. Great features.
Dec 27, 2019 22:41This is used by all the family members even though it was bought for my daughter. Another way to get everyone singing aloud especially in the world we live in. This device brings us together.
Oct 06, 2021 13:01Our granddaughter has been wanting a karaoke machine forever and she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES this one.
Nov 05, 2021 20:16My granddaughter loves this machine. She will sing off key for hours and we love hearing it.
Oct 26, 2021 07:43My daughter loves this, but the dual mics make it fun for the whole family too!
Oct 25, 2021 10:36Kids love it, the best part are the 2 micros, it not easy to find karaokes that allow 2 kids to sing at the same time
Jul 13, 2021 08:57The sound was clear and plyed my daughters cd with no issues. She sings on this thing almost daily
Sep 15, 2021 09:04Record high-quality sound in MP3 or WAV format with this Tascam stereo handheld audio recorder. Two omnidirectional microphones handle up to 125 dB SPL, sensitive enough to capture every detail with minimal background noise. This Tascam stereo handheld audio recorder features three auto level modes to help prevent distortion, while Dictation mode lets you seamlessly move back and forth while playing back a recording and transcribing.
There are higher models of the Tascam with mic inputs, etc., but I needed something just for doing some recording and video streaming work. This is perfect for me and the sound processing on this thing is amazing. It handled peaks so well, and is ultra configurable. The USB function allows me to record directly into my computer, which is super convenient. It does seem to reject some SD cards (using a Samsung 64GB now), so I'm researching that, otherwise, great device!
Feb 11, 2021 00:33It records clearly and well. Directions are not that great. It DOES NOT come with a micro disk. You will have to purchase that.
Dec 13, 2019 15:58Great device I use it while filming videos and also have a little fun with friends doing EVPs. So far loving this!!! Get It!!!
Aug 07, 2021 00:32Works good still learning it, inquiring today-- Google search on getting a external shotgun mic for...... wildlife research..
Aug 06, 2021 19:26This is a great recording device. It takes 2 AA's and you can expand it to 128gb. But you must put on the automatic filter or else you'll hear clicking and knocking noises while you play your recording back. Is very annoying!
Aug 22, 2021 17:18Although I have not used it yet, it will serve the purpose for which I bought it for. I did see it put to use by a tutorial on YouTube, so, it do just fine!
Jan 31, 2020 15:32The sensitivity of this recorder is amazing! Comes without instructions (a common complaint and cost it a star) so plan to spend a lot of time figuring it out and hunting for online instructions. Otherwise happy with this purchase. DO NOT trust the Best Buy online chat to help you with accessories. I was told to buy the wrong SD card and had to go through an annoying return process. Yes, you must have a MICRO SD card to use this.
Apr 02, 2021 16:05Great quality couldnt be happier with the results. Needs more information in the manual though
Dec 14, 2020 10:39Enjoy all your music with this Victrola 8-in-1 wooden turntable. Multiple speeds let you play all of your vinyl records, and the built-in CD and cassette players cover the rest of your hard media collection. Bluetooth and USB capability let this Victrola 8-in-1 wooden turntable stream and download your favorite tunes.
This was perfect for the steampunk decor in my son’s room. Works great so far but I haven’t tried the record player yet. The only con I have about this product is that you cannot the power on through the remote. You have to actually physically do it at the item
Sep 15, 2020 05:27It's my pleasure to give my new Victrola Navigator 8 in 1 Classic Bluetooth Record Player with Turntable style and tone that is terrific. Brings back so many of my childhood and teen years listening to my 45s, 3-speed LPs, CDs and Cassettes, radio + so much more. The modern technology with a classic nostalgic design is perfect in my living room. Plus, it's a fun conversation piece when people find out I can listen to my old cassettes too.
A perfect gift for a music lover of all ages and so happy I purchased it for my birthday. Receiving it right after my birthday and enjoying (especially during the Coronavirus).
May 22, 2020 18:15Love this!! I was a little disappointed because the description says it comes with an 8GB USB thumb drive, cleaning cloth and three replacement needles, but they were not in the box. Originally I had purchased just the turntable and that did come with the extra needles, etc. Wondering if someone had this before me and kept them?? Anyway, I do love it, great sound and able to listen to all of my old albums and CDs!! Would highly recommend!!
May 20, 2020 14:59Bought this as a gift for my mom and she loved it looks amazing and plays and sounds great great value for the older generation that has records they wanna sit back a remember the good ol days and for the younger generation it has an auxiliary port for mp3 or iPods the in between crowd it has the ability to play cds and tapes also can play the radio and gets stations very well would recommend
Nov 16, 2017 00:25So far this has been a perfect addition to my home. Wish there were preset options for the radio but I guess that would potentially take away from the appearance.
Sep 17, 2021 16:46Have been very pleased with the unit. Easy to operate. The sound leaves a bit to be desired on the bass but then so did my original record player. Also wish the tone arm was fully automatic but at least the turntable stops when it reaches the end of the record.
Jul 10, 2020 16:34Considering the remote did not work at all even after putting new batteries in it 3 times, when I contacted the company they sent me a new one which is completely different than the one that came with my player. I would recommend that you check your inventory for wrong remotes. Now that it works properly, I really am enjoying it.
Feb 28, 2020 16:13this is a great sound system. great for a person with limited space but has various needs for listening to music. the sound is great and easy to operate and looks great in any room of the house.
Nov 20, 2021 10:54Record audio clearly with this Phillips VoiceTracer lecture recorder. The three-microphone system captures lectures and distant speakers in exceptional clarity, and the smartphone app lets you share and control files remotely. This Phillips VoiceTracer lecture recorder features a color display for recording status information, and the complete recording kit allows for easy, intuitive operation.
This little jewel helped me catch my cheating wife. The microphones are top of the line and the software helps to clear up any background noise. Perfect for dropping into the backseat of the car to catch every sound!!
Dec 17, 2020 11:51I like that its portable and can connect to the wifi of my phone. My records can transfer and I can hear it through my phone. Lightweight . Very good product
Jun 17, 2020 17:34Pretty good piece of equipment. A bit expensive but performs well. You will have to read up on how to use the thing to make & save separate recordings or you will have one big run on.
Nov 12, 2021 16:33The voice tracker was a very easy device to use. It did not meet my expectations even though I was told that it was the best digital voice recorder. The microphone was not sensitive enough for the application that I was looking for. It did record fine if the microphone was close to your mouth while recording.
Nov 07, 2021 17:37Weak instructions
Not a Solid Feel ~ Too easy to forget it’s in your hand
This is Weak, but compared to what’s out there this offers more
Nov 12, 2021 23:01This device is sepreme. You can connect to snap dragon to transcribe and download the phillips voice tracer to store files on your phone if the mirco SD storage isn't enough. Files can be transfered to a laptop/desk top computer to store files too.
The device is pretty and has clear sound. Also, the device can be proped up on a tripod for meetings. There is a insert on the back to connect to a tripod.
Nov 05, 2021 15:34Good features, like screen and some other cool stuff, but not so good the construccion of the a overall case, feels so flensy and pricey.... Anyways notting like gpod old days.
Oct 16, 2021 14:30This recorder was purchased for use in Maintenance Homeowner Association board meetings for the purpose of recording the meeting to assist in developing the netting minutes. I installed the recorder on a tripod using the threaded tripod attachment on the back of the recorder. I adjusted the height of the recorder to about six feet. It captured all conversation in the room of about 50 people.
And it’s easy to share recordings with others.
I recommend this recorder.

Mar 06, 2020 18:18Stream your favorite tunes with this Toshiba mini component system. It's Bluetooth-ready for wireless streaming and compatible with MP3 and multiple CD formats. Plug a flash drive into its USB port to play music you've downloaded, or browse local FM radio stations with this Toshiba mini component system to hear the latest hits.
The unit looks ok, the sound quality is very sub par. I was going to return because Best Buy listed the Dimensions wrong and it would not fit on the cube shelf I planned to use. Unfortunately I got stuck with the unit thinking I had 30 days to return but it was only 10. Very disappointed not only with the unit but with Best Buy as well
May 07, 2021 19:00i just received it from bestbuy mail. played my stereo test playlist i made and it hit every one!
the LS50 the guy in the store wanted me to buy could not do that and it's 2500 bucks. of course he only showed me the MOST expensive stereos there.
i don't know if i could do better but i doubt i could ever beat it for a decent price.
Dec 07, 2020 19:37I love the stereo system its awesome my mom got it for me for my birthday
May 14, 2021 20:28This is a big shelf mini system. Lights are a cool optional feature. We have a large house and this can be heard everywhere.
Nov 05, 2017 01:16Best stereo I've ever purchased would definitely recommend to others.
May 22, 2020 22:24Very terrible set up. The speaker wires are only two feet long. I can't arrange it right and it looks stupid. Do not buy!!!
Jan 03, 2021 08:20Sounds like a tin can. Like a giant cellphone speaker. Have to go high volume to get any kinda bass. Doesn't deserve any stars.
Dec 18, 2020 21:59don't waste ur money get a bluetooth speaker and ur good to go
May 08, 2021 13:29Access recordings and adjust levels with the click of a thumb using this Tascam stereo handheld audio recorder. Two cardioid condenser microphones can be configured in AB or XY orientation for clear audio reproduction with minimal phase displacement between channels. This Tascam stereo handheld audio recorder with increased storage capacity features a mini-jack stereo port, letting you charge or use your own microphone.
Feels kind of cheap but it works as advertised no complaints just feels and looks cheap.
