    Better Than a 3080? I'd Say So

This is my favorite GPU that I've owned. Let me tell you why. Just a little background, I own basically all of the new GPU's including an RTX 3080 and 3090.

Performance wise, this card is absolutely no slouch. In my testing it matched or beat the 3080 in almost every occasion while using much less power. I recently upgraded my rig to a new Ryzen 5000 CPU, so I've been using the new smart access memory feature. The puts this card even further ahead than the 3080 in many games. I average around 200 fps in Modern Warfare/Warzone at 1440p max settings which is insane. To put that into perspective, my old GTX 1080 would get about 70 at those settings.

This card is surprisingly quiet! I did experience some coil wine for the first few weeks of owning the card, but that has stopped.

AMD's tuning and capture software is really nice and easy to use. There are plenty of options for overclocking, but there is really no need with this card.

This card really is targeted at gamers and if you can pick one up at retail price, there really is no better value in my opinion. I have the choice to use all of the new RTX cards, but this is the one I keep in my personal PC.

    MSI 3070 Gaming Trio Z

I was lucky enough to finally get ahold of one of these bad boys!! Now, I really didnt need to upgrade coming from an EVGA 1080 hybrid, but I decided if I was able to get a 30 series I might as well considering the great reviews and how old my card already was. This new 3070 is absolutely FIRE! I have also upgraded my cpu, ram and motherboard as well so all of that together is obviously going to be way better no matter what. But the performance that this card delivers is outstanding. Even at $800 MSRP you really can't beat it. It does run a little hotter than my old liquid cooled 1080, but lets be honest. IT'S LIQUID COOLED.. I have been playing New World in 4k with all graphic settings on very high and the card runs between 60°-65°c. Clock speed is around 1850 Mhz. I have no intentions on overclocking the card because honestly, theres no need to. You could and you could have better performance from it, but theres no need to. The ONLY thing I'm not a huge fan of is the support bracket they sent for the front of the card. The card still sages a little on the right side. But I mean, it is a huge card. Very well built. If you have been thinking about it, you should just buy one if you can. 100% worth it and worth the price! GL out there bois!!

    MSI premium, but no complaints

Prices continue to climb, so value will likely plummet for some users. Market factors aside, the 3070 is a solid card and this one is no exception. User has no complaints regarding function and performance.

The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. beep A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. ding Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.

Best Bang for Buck Graphics Card

The 3060 card lineup is probably the best bank for buck card currently. I didn't see it being practical to get a 3090 for triple the price of a 3060 when all I play is some Warzone and Fortnite. This card runs what I need it to at top settings! No complaints what so ever!

    In one word… Amazing!

I was fortunate enough to luck out and snap one of these up, and it was worth the wait to finally get my hands on one!! The good news is that they’re starting to show up, the bad news is that they’re still hard to come by, but getting better. Im not making a huge jump in cards, im going from a 2080 super to this 3080 ti, but its still a big improvement. My old card is also an MSI ventus series, so quality is a none issue. Bang for buck, in the current market, its definitely there but still on the high side. If you have a 2080 or less, worth it. If you have a 2080 ti, hold on to your cash until the market comes around.

    Beggars can be choosers

With the current market I was lucky to get this card, however it does fall short when playing at 4k 120hz on a 48in oled with all the bells and whistles on. FarCry 6, had to turn off HD textures to keep settings on ultra and not get the low Vram message. I will continue my search for a 3090FE.

Fastest thing AMD has ever made

Easily 5 out of 5 but took a star off because it was so hard to get this card and even harder to get it for MSRP. Big props to Bestbuy for not price hiking like others (looking at you Newegg) and selling it for what AMD sells it at on their site.

Now for the review part, I've had cards from both big brands and this is the fastest card i have ever owned. It beats the 1080ti i had and doubles the 5700xt handily. The quality of the reference card is much better than AMD has offered in previous years and although I've heard people complain of coil wine i personally have none. But my case is a little loud with a 3900x OC'd heavily so my fan curve is aggressive anyway.

The card is super easy to OC if you want and with the new thermal/frequency algorithm they use if you water block it you can get really high clock speeds.

If you can find this card it is very nice but with the 6800xt giving you close to this level of performance for several hundred less (if you can find it at msrp) i would say the 6800xt is the sweet spot for price to performance. I just finished a new build and wanted the biggest AMD had to offer this gen so i got the 6900xt instead. May not seem worth it now but it may keep me from having to upgrade as soon in the future.

I got lucky and managed to snag this in the great GPU crisis of 2020-202? back in January. It was a more expensive version than I had intended to buy, but after months of not being able to get anything I snagged this as soon as I could. Had no problems with it and it runs everything incredibly well.

    Serious performance with RT disabled

The 6900XT really packs a punch, alongside 16GB of GDDR6. RT performance is still lacking from AMD, but they'll get there. With that disabled though, it's very quick.

    Works Great

I paid regular price for this MSI GTX 1650 Super X 4-GB and for me that is expensive but I am very happy with this graphics card purchase.

The 1650S is as good as it gets for 1080p gaming. 4-GB is not enough for 4k so if that's your goal move up to a 6-GB card minimum.

This card does not have LEDs on the fans. It is 241mm long, 114mm tall and double width.

I have mine mounted sideways on a riser bracket so it will clear other items on my motherboard.

The card uses up to 100 watts and the documentation recommends 350 watt power supply minimum. It uses one 8 pin power connection.

Side note: in my pic my cpu cooler says AMD but my cpu is Intel I-7.

I built an i5 gaming rig for my nephew. It’s his first rig and I didn’t think he would be playing graphic intense games. However, he asked me to install Call of Duty Modern Warfare so I did and to my surprise this GPU held up very well on a 1080p running at 144Mhz. It also, runs cooler than I expected. Highly recommend if your on the fence.

    Great performance

Performs really well with my i5-9400 CPU. Very smooth gameplay and the capture technology works well. One star deduction because I purposely paid an extra $10 here than on amazon thinking that the metal GPU backplate was included (as stated in the Q&A section). No backplate is included. As far as performance however, I have no complaints and really think this is good value for what you're paying.

Runs everything I've thrown at it

For the price it's a pretty high quality video card. Supports multiple monitors via HDMI and video ports. Supports my VR headset which was a must have when I was shopping and the added programmable RGB built in lighting is pretty cool as well.

Picture below does not do it justice due to all the RGB lighting but in person it stands out.

    Awesome Card

Bought this card for my first self built pc, moved up from the 1060 3gb and there is a gigantic difference in performance. I'm able to easily play at the highest settings in games such as overwatch, subnautica, and PUBG with no problem at all. I've also been able to stream my games on high settings with no problem at all at 1080. My monitor is also locked at 60hz and 1080 as well so keep that in mind, I've heard it performs very well with 144hz monitors thought so that shouldn't be an issue.

The card also comes with 3 DisplayPort ports and only one HDMI port, no DVI ports at all so that is definitely something to look for depending on your monitor setup. But if you don't use DisplayPort you can always get adapters.

The fans themselves are also very quiet and only turn on when the card is under load, keeping your system relatively quiet. Temperatures usually stay at around 65 degrees during a typical gaming session.

Definitely one of the more expensive 1660 supers out there but I think it's worth it for the extra RGB which is adjustable with the Dragon Center software by MSI. It's definitely a well made card, feel sturdy and has a metal backplate to cover up the circuit board making your build look clean. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a powerful card but also doesn't want to break the bank too much.

Best option I had. Plays games well.

I'm giving this 5 stars because it works as well as it could. I planned on getting a 3070 but we all know how that went. Therefore I went for the 1660s because it can play games well even if it's not the greatest. Best Buy also had this card for a very cheap price. Like $150 cheaper than other places. Some fps counts. Gta V: 100-110 on medium/high. Cyberpunk: 60-70 medium. Rocket League: 144-200 Highest. COD Cold War: 100-120 medium/high.

Great entry level gaming video card

I decided to upgrade to this card from an ASUS strix 1050 Ti 4GB

I wasn't sure if it was gonna be worth it on my older system due to reviews online or you-tubers saying i will lose FPS, my CPU will bottleneck but it does work and it works well above my expectations. no stutters either! surprisingly!

I could play all the new games with my older card at 1080p HD at 40-60fps. but with this card, i can get surprisingly 80-90 fps on call of duty modern warfare, 110-140 fps on CS:GO on high/ultra settings with no stutters which is not bad considering my i5 6400 only has 4 cores & 4 threads. I can also get 40-50 fps on 4K setting (3840x2160) resolution but i'll rather just play on 1080p HD at (1920x1080) for now. of course streaming while gaming or VR wouldn't work with my setup. but i am pretty sure this card is VR ready.

and i was gonna go for a ryzen 7 3700x upgrade but after trying this out on my current setup why spend more money? i will just upgrade when i really have to or when money allows it. but for now, this works.

I also included pictures of my bench mark tests for those that are skeptical and no! my i5 isn't overclocked. i can't anyway. it's a regular 6400 and a none K. intel also put a stop to overclocking non k on Z170 mobos.

with that said, i almost forgot. you can also turn on RAY-TRACING on with this card (directX 12) and this requires a power supply at least 450W that has an 8-pin PCI connector for those who are new to pc building.

    my budget PC specs are:

    - i5 6400 air-cooled with an evo 212

    - 32GB DDR4 2133MHZ

    - MSI gtx 1660 super 6GB

    - 650 watts PSU (corsair CX)

    thanks for reading!

Nice RGB Bling and a fast Graphics Card to Boot

I needed something a bit more powerful than the stock Graphics card that came with my new RGB PC. I compared my card to many others and thought this was a good price point with a little bit of extra RGB bling to my system. Very happy with the purchase, and the card does not even break a sweat with FFXIV or WOW.

    So happy with this!

I am SO happy with this graphics card so far! I just built my own PC for the first time.

    Hardware:

    Ryzen 5 1600 (1st gen) @ 3.2ghz (overclocks COMFORTABLE to 3.9ghz)

    16GB of 3200mhz DDR4 Ram

and of course, this GTX 1660 Ti graphics card.

So far I have tested a few games, and I'll show you the details/results below:

Forza Horizon 4 - Ultra Settings (all)

Averaging 120fps - plays fantastic. It would dip down to 89FPS in certain situations where it is very nature heavy, but not for very long, and it still looked fantastic.

Gears of War 4 - Max Settings

Averaging 115fps. The lowest I saw was 99fps during my benchmarks and playing the game. Looks fantastic and plays great!

    The Surge - Ultra Settings

Again, averaging 110-120fps. It looks great!

Keep in mind, this is all being done with a 1st Gen Ryzen 5 1600 processor. The GPU takes a brunt of the work upfront, and it does it with ease. The highest I've seen it pushed so far is at 80% VRAM useage, during some parts in The Surge, other than that it's at around 50% VRAM usage for Forza and Gears.

Also, the RGB controls are wonderful, and it looks very slick inside the PC. Picture attached.

    Awesome Bang For The Buck!

I understand the hesitation behind buying 1600 series GPU after the 3000 series launch, but if you are looking for excellent 1080p to 1440p performance on a small-ish form factor card, this is definitely for you! It performs well in nearly all VR situations I've put it through, and gaming on my 75hz 1080p IPS display never felt so good. Paired with a Ryzen 2500x, you'll be far above playable FPS, even on most modern day titles on high settings. If your hesitant, don't be. Get it and I promise you won't regret it.

I have downloaded MSI Afterburner, but I have yet to mess with the out of the box OC settings.

    *Most efficient Mining Card*

MSI yet again did a great job with the 1660Ti. This card is mainly for an entry level gamer wanting to get great 1080P content.

The way I’m using it is they mining. Currently this card gets 30MH/S on Ethash *Undervolted* under 75 watts. which is a mining ago utilize in cyrptocurreny. Yes I know gamers don’t like us but we contribute a great amount in nvidia sales as well and that’s one reason I’m writing this review.

Out of the box it shows the workman’s craft they put into the gaming edition great design and a touch of RGB.

I chose this card because of the looks mainly and the efficiency of the card. Also for resale value in the future. If your a miner you should already know this is one of the best efficient mining card and if your a casual gamer wanting decent FPS than this is a great choice of well. This card also requires an 8pin pci connector so make sure you have one available on your PSU

    Happy Mining!

iRacing only, and it's solid in VR.

4-stars? 5-stars? I don't know. I just know that I'm coming from an old machine to a 5600x/3080 rig and iRacing is basically the only game I play. I turned the graphics slider to max (which doesn't literally max everything out, btw, but I figure it's a baseline for anyone who is curious), and I have yet to see below the 90fps lock that comes with this Lenovo Explorer VR HMD (even with 30 other Ai cars). On a single monitor at 1440p I was getting 300-400fps alone in testing, sometimes over 400.

I did not use the support bracket, because I personally didn't like how it works. I read that others like it, but I didn't. My motherboard is reinforced at the PCI slot, and I may create my own bracket.

There are no stability issues that I can see thus far. I have not tried overclocking, and probably won't mess with that.

I'm a little disappointed with the pricing. Even big box places like BB have raised the price on this card. I paid well over original Nvidia MSRP, and a few weeks later the price is $100 more than I paid. This really decreases the "value" of the card. I marked the value as "poor". If the card were more in line with MSRP, I'd mark it a much better value.

    Okay card, poor cooling

It’s a 3080...not my first choice but with the current demand it was the only one I was able to get. The “graphene” backplate is actually cheap plastic with maybe a small amount of graphene underneath. I have taken the card apart to put better 3.0mm thermal pads on the memory and now the memory junction temps are down 5C when I stress test or game on the card. I also added some pure copper heatsinks to the back in rows where the VRAM is underneath the backplate. An additional case fan above the backplate helps pull the heat away from the VRAM and out of the case. Shouldn’t have to mod a card that’s this expensive but such is the state of MSI offering. I would buy an EVGA with aluminum backplate if the opportunity arises.

    Great Card!

This is a great card! Stock it tends to run hot and throttle but like most Ampere cards once you undervolt it and adjust the fan curve in Afterburner it runs like a champ while using less power and running cooler. It was one of the few 3080's that would actually fit in my case without taking a fan out so that was a bonus.

Knocking off a point in ease of use because this card is massive and doesn't allow me to mount a radiator in the front of my Meshify C case.

This card has it's power locked, so overclocking further is fairly limited out of the box. Find that weird for a card that is 10-15% more $ than the FE version and has 2 8-Pin power connectors. But still a good card and it fits well in a smaller case. I'd go with a different brand version if you can find one for less, there is nothing about this card to justify the premium price. I only got it because it was the first one I saw available.

    Works good

Works great and we all know about the GPU shortage going on and the only reason I bought this was its my buddy who was desperately needing an upgrade ! When the market gets back to normal and they’re in stock I would choose something else because the price point that this is selling at every other 3060 TI either has a 3 fan design or RGB which this doesn’t have neither of . The guy under me saying something about plugging it in ? Yes this GPU needs X2 8 pin pci express cables . Also my buddy’s pc is running it with a Corsair sfx 450 watt 80 plus platinum PSU with a AMD R5 3600 with no problems at all .

    Loving it 1 week in!

The card is a beast. Paired it with a new Asus 27 inch 144 hz UHD (1440p) G-sync monitor. I can play ESO (old person's game) comfortably (40-50 FPS in the busiest city areas) on Ultra settings with everything maxed out. With a few minor tweaks I can get 70-144 FPS no problem. This is all on a motherboard with PCIe 3.0 slots, an overclocked CPU (i5-6600K at 4.4 Ghz), overclocked RAM (DDR3 2400), and a 750W PSU that are all 5 years old. The 3060 replaced a 6 year AMD Radeon R9 390 (RIP old buddy).

Quiet and cool, never exceeds 68 degrees Celsius under full load with a custom fan curve. I do have a spacious tower with a lot of room.

Overclocked using MSI Afterburner. After a fair amount of testing, settled on +160 core +1150 memory with the core voltage and power limit at +100. Maxes out at 2115 Mhz in game. Disclaimer: Mileage may vary (see "Silicon Lottery").

As others have mentioned, this model requires two 8 pin connectors.

Great card, I was very lucky to get it. If your reading this review I think you know that too. Some of the GPUs with the larger cooler obviously are a little quieter and better performing but this works perfect for me.

Great card, over priced vs competitors

I was lucky enough to snag one of these and it arrived on December 31st. A great way to start off the new year. I must say the upgrade from my gtx980 is night and day. Before I could barely play cyberpunk but now I can enjoy the full glory of ray tracing an less screen tearing. However, I did notice my cpu (i7 9700k) was running near 100% and gpu was only running at 20%. This may just be from how cyberpunk is optimized, but overall it still ran pretty solid and temps stayed low. I managed to average 60-70 fps on high settings with DLSS set to quality. The reason for leaving 4 starts if the price of this card when compared to other 3060ti's. This card has no rgb, lights, and only has 3 fans whereas competitors have 3 fans and rgb at this price range. Also for $30 more you could snag a 3070 FE if your lucky enough which I think would be the better deal

It's a 3090. It will destroy absolutely anything you throw at it. Card can run a bit hot depending on the application, and the backplate is scalding. Absolute monster of a card though. Undervolts well, but had finger prints on new card

I moved from a RX 480 8GB to this RX 6800 16GB Reference model from MSI. The card is excelent, I was able to undervolt it and overclock to get about 5% more frames out of it.

There was just one problem, my particular card I picked up from the store had no plastic wrap on it, it looked like the box had been opened and had finger prints on the backplate. Best Buy did nothing about it and told me I could return it, but they couldn't replace it due to lack of inventory, and they said that it wasn't opened so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'm not happy with Best Buy, but the card is a really nice upgrade.

Great card if you don't care about ray tracing!

Great AMD GPU! I don't care much about ray tracing, I went from an RTX 2060 to this beast, and have it pared with a 165hz 2K display. Amazingly consistent FPS, and the 16GB of VRAM will keep me for a couple of years.

These OEM RX6xxx series are TANKS! My last card was a "value" version, and this thing is about the same length, within a half of an inch, but weighs a WHOLE POUND MORE! (and the 6800 has a SMALLER heatsink than the 6800XT/6900XT OEMs) The aluminum on the back, plus the beasty heatsink, make it really feel like a premium product from AMD.

Depending on your preference between the 2 biggest desktop GPU companies, this one slots between the 3070 and 3080. While the overall value isn't perfect vs the 3070 at MSRP, I expect the 16GB of VRAM will keep it ahead in the futureproofing department.

(I'm a big fan of AMD, but will usually go with the better value, but this purchase was only because I was lucky to get one of anything in stock!)

    Just wow

I don't appreciate that bestbuy raised their pricing on video cards well above msrp. But for being a big box store it was priced better than eBay and other third party venders. This replaced a rx 580 in my rig.

I had HUGE ideas of what I'd do with this card and in the end I still find myself playing master of Orion 2, StarCraft, and civ 5. It honestly idle mines Ethereum while I'm away which has paid itself off already.

Plays everything on ultra at 1440 and 144hz with no issue. It runs super hot. Like close the door, close the windows, and I'm sure I won't need any heat in the winter.

The best RTX 3090 you can buy here, at a cost

This RTX 3090 is more expensive than the other models, but it has much more headroom for overclocking because of the extra power connector. The cooler is beefy and you can throw anything at it (within reason) I just think it's too expensive, my only gripe with this card. If the price would come back down, I would recommend it, but there just isn't enough here to justify the markup.

    3060 is an okay beast!

Very late review but still a review none the less.

As hard as this was to get, it was completely worth it! First owning the 970. The card surprisingly has some heft to it even if its a surprisingly small card.

I was fortunate to get this card, so if you are lucky enough to purchase one please do!

Okay Card at an Okay Price

There is a video on YouTube that compares all of the 3080s and this is one of the lowest performing ones. To make matters worse this card costs more than the FE 3080 and is LHR. The only reason I give it 5 stars is because at the end of the day it's still a 3080 and will do everything you need it to if you can get your hands on one.

    LHR Still Great for Gaming

Still games like any other 3080 despite the LHR. 100+ FPS on most games in 4k max settings. Stays cool and quiet.

As far as I know, the LHR debuff only applies to ETH mining. Got a peak of 51MH/s for ETH after tuning the memory. Ravencoin seems to be unaffected by the LHR.

Overpriced for a 3080 but still happy with the purchase.

    This thing is a beast!

This was a really great upgrade for me from the 1060! I love the look as well, comes with a support bar. I honestly think it’s a good deal, especially when it’s hard to come by a GPU, I’ll take this over the 3070. I’m able to run games on high quality with absolutely no issues (usually get 100-200 fps depending on the game). Running on ultra/highest quality works as well but once I got some fps drops (from 200 to 95), so I just cap the fps to run it on ultra to prevent drops.

My GPU came with a slight scratch on the metal (aesthetic only, nothing bent and no performance issues). I reached out to Msi just to inform them that the GPU came like this. No way am I returning this when it was already so difficult to get a GPU now. They noted my comment, so should be fine.

    Great step up

It’s really a pretty card to look at. Performance wise, it does noticeably better than my previous asus rog strix 2070s. The thermals are just a smidge higher but it’s such a beefy boy, that was expected. The value may be a little steep, but after an adjusted 899.99 bestbuy member value was applied, it made the purchase all that much easier. Would have been happier with a FE 3080, but I finally have a great looking and performing 30 series and am genuinely satisfied.

Monster performance, but a hefty price tag

The title says it all. It's a monster of a card, an RTX 3070 Ti. The can handle anything I can throw at it while keeping frames high and temps cool. The fans are pretty silent too. The only thing that holds back the 5* review is the price.

    Good looking card

What can I say,its a 30 series card from a huge AIB. This is my second gaming x trio. The card looks good only complaints are the led bar doesn't diffuse the light to well and the jump from 3070 to 3070TI is not worth it if you can find a 3070 instead.

Amazing Graphics card, High price point

Overall an amazing graphics card and will play most any game you want at max graphics settings. I get max fps (60fps) on Flight simulator 2020 at ultra settings and, I get 144+ fps on Red Dead Redemption 2 on max graphics settings. It's the most expensive 3070ti on the market as far as I am aware but, in today's market you get what you can and I was lucky to even have a chance to buy it. The RGB is nothing super special but it works. The included anti sag bracket was a life saver as this is a beefy card and, there was significant sag when I put it in my system. Cooling is pretty good, I've never seen it go past 70°c and in the MSI center app you can do a cooler boost which spins the fans at around 3000 rpm for a couple seconds which cools it down in a pinch. All in all super great card, just a little expensive.

IN STOCK ALERT WORKS. READ THIS ONE!

Paid less than retail. Had a $50 off code and a $5 coupon. Was able to get this gpu thru with ifixifixifix YouTube stock alert channel. Full disclosure...i have now 3 30-series cards, Founders 3090, Vision 3060Ti and this Ventus 3060. I have 3 pcs at home and 1 at work. I still need 1 more for the last pc in my house. Kids use the 3060ti and a crappy gtx 745 still. I use 3090 for my home rig overkill gaming setup and the ventus 3060 at work. Im a communication engineer using cad programs. My work pc runs 3 monitors and at least 13 program windows running at the same time. The ventus 3060 keeps up perfectly. On gaming its over 120 fps on warzone with all high/ultra settings at 1080p. The cpu is the i7-4790 and bottlenecks at 100% in my work pc so you can definitely expect higher numbers with newer CPU's. This pc is from 2015 and cpu only has 4 cores. Warzone is the only game ive tested at 1080p on this gpu. Good luck to all.

    Wouldn't recommend...

Not a good value for the price. Waited 7 hours in line and this was the only thing available. I was upgrading from a GTX 1070 FE when I purchased this card. Let me start by saying

almost everything in my computer from motherboard to case is MSI brand. I love the premium feel of the products. Unfortunately I just didn't see that from this graphics card. For the look and feel of the card MSI chose a flimsy plastic cover,No Led light, just a cheaply looking painted logo. Moving past the look and feel to heat. Remember I moved from a 1070FE if you remember correctly these cards come with blower fans. They say blower fans severely lack in cooling vs traditional fans. Well with this new card after installing the 3060 my temps on my everything in the case increased by 20c underload. This isn't my first build and I understand push and pull configuration with fans this thing is just a little heater. Moving on to performance the 3060 performs very similar to the 1070 despite being a few gens apart. I seen very little performance increase from switching cards. Overall the 3060 with 12GB is just a gimmick. Its for the average consumer that wouldn't understand why a 12gb 3060 doesn't out perform a 10gb 3080.

Don't pay premium for this card its a waste a decent second-hand 10 series card can easily out perform this card for a few hundred less.

An OC beast with great gaming performance

I see many people hate on this card in the review. I don't like this card due to it's ordinary design, but I really don't regret buying it after a week of gaming. This gpu clock can boost up to 1930 and remain 70oC with 2000 rpm fan speed. This is actually really impressive. True, this card doesn't have fancy design nor cool RGB lights, but it can handle any AAA title on ultra graphic at 1080P. This card is a OC monster, even it does not come with a super cool and long name nor looking. It is definitely top of the line performance in the 60ti family, get it if you could.

At the end of the day it is a 3060ti and even though it may run hotter than others 3060ti due to it having only two fans. It gets the job done.

    Exceptionally bad build quality

This is by far the worst build quality GPU I've ever owned, and the thermal performance is just abysmal. Oh and don't let me get started about the fan whine.

I knew I was in for trouble when picked up the card, it just feels like cheap plastic all over. It's super light and fragile, and the exposed wiring doesn't inspire confidence either. But who cares about this, as long as it performs right? well it is a 3060 ti and it performs like one, but that comes at a cost. Put this under a stress test and the temps jumped to 75C in the first few seconds, for reference I had 4 different cards in that same case from EVGA, Gigabyte and even MSI themselves and I never saw temps that high. Sure 75C isnt the end of the world but boy the fans have to work hard for it, it started to sound like a jet plane when the fans ramped all the way up to 80%. This literally never happens on stock settings on any decent card, but with a light heat sink cooling has to come from somewhere. Forget about overclocking this.

Anyway if things were normal and I can just replace this with a different SKU I would, but if you're from the wonderful future where prices are sane and stock is available do yourself a favor and avoid this card.

In this market a video card chooses you

I wanted a 3080 but this is acceptable. Upgraded from 1080 GTX EVGA, BIG difference. Max RTS and DLSS on a 1080p Cyberpunk card actually runs cooler than my 1080 GTX and it is much quieter under heavy load. If you have less than a 2080 the 3070 TI is worth it. The price sucks but second-hand prices are currently worse.

This is a really solid GPU pickup I was able to get when it dropped. There is a massive GPU shortage out there and even though I paid a bit more than I should have for this graphics card, I'm still glad I was able to get one through this shortage. Price I'm not such a fan of, but still can't knock the card of its power. Wish it had some sort of LED though...

Fantastic deal, love that I got it, used app

Has been awesome in my rig. Great price, and great to get one given the shortage.

Does everything it needs to, and since it’s hard to find a 3080, I’d say go for it

Good card but a little overpriced for the features

Card is a little overpriced for what it is but you take whatever card you can get. It's a tad slower than a 3070 so it's kind of in line with current market but all in all, this card is pretty good performance wise and quiet. Also, be careful of how wide this card is, it had trouble fitting in my sff case and i needed to get a 90-degree power connector.

    Decent Card, Decent Price,

I bought this card to replace the GPU in a pre-built gaming system. The MSI RX 5500 XT is nothing special, but it was better than the GPU that came pre-installed, and doubled the video memory in my rig from 4GB to 8GB.

This is no GTX 2070, despite having the same amount of video memory... but it gets the job done. It gives me an acceptable frame rate of 30fps on the ground and 40fps above 10,000 ft on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on the high end setting. If I kick that up to Ultra, it runs at 21-30fps.

That is a considerable improvement over Microsoft Flight Simulator’s frame rate on the stock GPU on medium...

Everything else I play from Shadow of Tomb Raider to Control can run on the highest settings at about 55fps at 1080p, but I think that limit is more a function of my monitor’s refresh rate and freesync. I would not recommend going any higher than 1080p on this card.

My one complaint is the height of the card and the position of the 8-pin outlet for the power cable. Using this in a pre-built system, case size was a bit of a problem, and I needed an adapter to redirect the power cable in order to get the case the close. Probably not a problem for most users, but something to consider.

Ultimately, this GPU does what I need it to, and it does it while allowing me to stick to the budget I set.

(Side note: the specs recommend a 450w PSU, but on a pre-built system, AMD states that you can get away with less wattage. Personally, mine uses a 400w PSU and I have no problems even when the card draws the full 130 watt TPD. Ironically, the stock card that came in my system recommended a 550w PSU...)

Good card after fixing the black screen.

Bought this card online new and it came in the mail cut opened with a box cutter through the cardboard inside the package, so it was shipped like that. Probably my last thing I'm a buy from bestbuy from now on since with problems in shipping.

But anyways, installed the gpu in my

gaming rig I built (Ryzen 5 3600, Asus tuf x570 plus wifi, 16 GB corsair ram, Phy 500gb m.2, 600w ps) on windows 10.

The card wasnt recognized by windows so it installed windows basic drivers with poor quality, downloaded the adrenaline driver for the card online and ran it when the screen went blank and never came back on.

I knew the computer was still working so I fiddled around by removing the new GPU and see if it still worked on old gpu and it did so I put it back in.

The problem was the HDMI cable I was using, I guess it was a lower quality cable so I changed it out with a 4k gold pin Sony Hdmi and the screen came back on.

Played some games on it and it ran smooth in high detail, and the fan is quiet.

    Unbelievable Product

Went from NVIDIA products for years, I have been running software for over 50 years, I have never seen software that runs hardware like the software (control panel) that comes with the AMD Card. Once you see the difference you will NEVER purchase another product from NVIDIA. The NVIDIA control looks like it was written by a 5th grader compared to the AMD Control Panel. Google it if you have to for screenshots and see for yourself.

    Great card, subpar chipset.

It's not bad for what it is. Not gonna run anything new at max settings and give you any kind of decent framerate. But, if you're like me and you needed a gpu, and there was nothing else you could buy (literally) it gets the job done.

The card itself is well built, and the cooler is capable. Backplate is just plastic, so if has no function other than looking nice, which it does.

I really have no complaints about the card, for what it is. Buy it if there's nothing else. You'll be disappointed, but that's not the fault of the actual product, but the chipset it's built off of.

    Amazing Graphics Card

I had the card shipped to store (Everett Mall), and the card was extremely delayed. Purchased on June 24th and didn't get to pick up the card until July 6th. I would like to subtract 2 stars for this experience, but this review is about the card, not the delivery.

Amazing graphics card but definitely a steeper price tag. You will definitely feel a performance difference upgrading from any of the previous model. The quality of the card is definitely on a different level. The construction is top tier and feels extremely durable. No wiggly parts and everything is fixed in place. The design is elegant and fits any build (white or black build). For the price tag, it could use a little more RGB on the front face plate where the fans are. 3 small strips for a $1,800 price tag seems a bit skimpy.

The value of this card is a bit on the expensive side. With that being said, it is a premium card with high end construction. I've had friends won the lotto for other cards and the construction of this card is definitely a league above the other.

The software is decent. The RGB control could use a ton more work but the control for the fan and performance is a great tool.

This card is very user friendly. Easy to install, easy to download the software and easy to control with single clicks.

    THIS THING IS HUUUUUUUUUGE

no idea why people are rating the pricing or availability as opposed to rating the card in here but here i go. first off this thing is GIGANTIC. was not an issue in my case as i have a full tower. If you dont have a full tower i suggest taking many measurements to ensure fitment. Also this uses 3x 8 pin PCIE connectors which was not an issue in my case. Card does not run hot idle or while gaming but i can notice a difference in heat between this and my last card which was a 1080 ti. I get about double the FPS in 1080p ultra compared to the 1080 ti. for example i would get around 50 - 60 fps on ultra in 1080p Cyberpunk. with this card on the same settings i get about 95 - 105 fps. Im an enthusiast gamer with an interest in possibly streaming in the future and the 3080 ti seems perfect for that using the newer NVENC codec. since it has the new HDMI version its able to output 4k 120hz if your monitor also has that version. overall after waiting more than a year for a card im very satisfied with the purchase. It runs games like butter and isnt very loud. if youre an enthuiast that can afford the current pricing i would suggest this card.

Not a value but a very capable card.

Pricing aside, this is a very capable and nice looking card. MSI ships these with a (much needed) GPU brace to help keep this monster upright in your case. Just make sure you double check the measurements of this card and your case before you buy, I have it in a LianCool II and it just barely fits with a front mount Kraken x63. Like an inch of spare room. If you're looking for the best value out there, look elsewhere. If you're looking for max performance this is a contender.

    Expensive but awesome

TLDR: This card makes me happy

I’ve had this card for a few weeks now so I can’t speak to what it’s long term quality will be yet. I can tell you I was willing and fortunate enough to be able to spend what is probably too much money for a gpu. But it achieves what I wanted, which was maxed out graphical and performance settings in 4k on most games. Currently I’m running Cyberpunk on Ray Tracing Ultra settings in 4K and maintaining 60+ FPS in all environments. The caveat is that this is with DLSS turned on, but it absolutely works. GPU utilization is around 98% and temps stay around 80 Celsius. With less demanding games my temps are in the 70’s. I plan to experiment with other fan setups to try and drop those temps, but I think this card just runs hot.

It is an RTX3080Ti! Way too overprices tho....

The GPU is huge! I was lucky to buy it when Best Buy was doing drops. I wish I could have bought an RTX 3080Ti from EVGA, because this one is way overpriced.... EVGA "was not available near me", so this was my only option.

Before you buy, make sure your PSU has 3 PCI-E power ports for the GPU; it uses 3x8 pins!

The GPU has some weird decoloring in the cooling fins, like if it scratched with something. But I am sure is just a problem from the manufacturing process....

Honestly, got it just because it's what I could get my hands on. Personally, if we were not in the middle of a GPU shortage, I would have gone with something which would be a bit more bang for the buck, but this GPU has chewed through everything I've thrown at it.

I also loved the little manga they included with the GPU. It was adorable and very much appreciated. :)

    Good card

Whatever. I have a legitimate purchase now with a warranty, glad to be done from the hunt.

As for the card itself, great so far. Farcry 6 at 1440p with maxed settings is averaging 150fps. I'm set for 5+ years.

The colors on the RGB are vivid and well done without being obnoxious. The MSI app to configure it is average, you get the typical basic options. It's no iCUe.

It scared me at first when the fans don't turn on at idle, but it turns out that's just some kind of default setting. They turn on once a game starts, so that's cool.

$500 over the 3080 FE price. For that you get 100mhz extra on the boost clock delivering 5.5% better top-end performance, a different cooling solution, and LHR. The rest of the feature set is identical.

I don't know orunderstand what BB is thinking, but literally every other 3080 they sell, up to and including the ASUS Strix, is a better value, the FE being the best, of course. Don't waste your money. Pass.

    Great card

First off, make sure you DDU your old drivers before you install this card, that will save you from having the majority of the problems listed in many of the other reviews.

Stock out of the box, my card boosted to 1993mhz with the latest Adrenalin drivers and has not given me a single issue, it does get warm, but I wouldn’t say hot, it does run much cooler than my previous RX580.

I rate this card a solid 10 out of 10, the Navi GPU and RDNA is going hurt Nvidia...

    Blown away by AMD

I downgraded from an Nvidia MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio and.. Well, I can't really call it a downgrade. Actually an upgrade.

Out of every game I've tested today, I get about 10 more fps with this card. The biggest difference is in Red Dead Redemption 2. On my 2080 I averaged around 60 fps, but with this card I average 88 fps.

I don't know if I just got lucky and got a super good card, but I had no problems installing the drivers, and the increase in game performance is phenomenal.

I'm very happy with my decision to switch from Nvidia.

My only complaint is that this card is very loud, but I think my fans may just be a little loose. I've seen other reviews state that the card is very quiet.

Out of all the cards I've owned (RX 570, GTX 1070 TI, GTX 1080, and RTX 2080), this is the only one I would say is worth every cent. Exceptional performance at half the cost of my RTX 2080.

    RIP Card Costs 2021

Glad I picked this up for $399 before the tariffs affected everything.

Don't be scared off by the bad reviews.

I came so VERY close to purchasing a 2070 Super despite really not wanting to. The 2070S is honestly neck and neck with this card (winning in some, losing to it in others.. plus AMD cards age better so I'd call them equal performers overall) outside of RTX which I personally don't buy into but the 2070S costs more than this card by sometimes $100+.

I've always been an AMD guy and wanted to stay that way but the countless bad reviews on the 5000 series Navi cards scared me. Reports of BSOD's, black screens / flickering, crashing and such galore. That alone made me hesitant to buy this card.. I'm glad I didn't listen to that and bought it anyway.

I have not had ONE, SINGLE, PROBLEM out of this card. The reviews on this specific card calling it hot? Even under the heaviest loads I've had it under it didn't break 63-65C at the most with the stock fan curve settings. Loud fans? An absolute lie, a literal untruth because I've seen the fans get up to 75-80% and can't even hear them. Issues outside of this specific card such as what I mentioned above? I've experienced none of them, I did a full wipe of the previous drivers I had installed for my 590x Fatboy via DDU (removed the AMD folder and everything.. FULL wipe) which is always good practice, then simply found the newest recommended (not experimental) driver on the AMD website via the manual card selector.. installed it and viola. Card was up and running great with no issues experienced since.

I want you to know I'm not a light gamer, running 1080P games from 4-5+ years ago like some people do despite buying powerful current-gen hardware. I've been using this across both 1080P Ultrawide and 1440P resolutions on very high to ultra settings on top of running actual GPU benchmarks multiple times.

Monster Hunter World, AC Odyssey, The Witcher III, RE2 Remake, RE3 Remake, Sekiro, Tekken 7, Forager, The Outer Worlds, Factorio, UnderRail, Kenshi, Resident Evil 7, Vermintide 2, Fallout 4 and Metro Exodus are the games I've had running using this card so far (with many more to come) and some of these games are pretty hard graphical performance hogs at higher settings.. especially MHW, AC Odyssey and Metro Exodus. I've had both great performance at very high / ultra settings AND great stability using this card. My temps are great, as I said I haven't even set up a custom fan curve. I'm even running a mild overclock (beyond the stock one) and I've still had great temps, nor have I ever experienced the fans ramping up as being 'loud' like multiple reviews stated. This card is a beast, for 1080P UW, 1440P and 1440P UW it knocks everything out of the park and I'd wager for 1600P and 4K it's still a solid performer depending on your settings / the age & optimization of the game.

For the $380-$430 price range this card most commonly sits in, you can't beat it. It's an absolute banger of a performer, with the performance getting better and better as the drivers flesh out. If there were stability issues with them in the past, those are gone as long as you wipe properly. Use either DDU or the tool AMD offers themselves and you won't have any problems out of this card running the newest drivers. This particular brand of the card is great too, the stock OC can be bumped up slightly with no issues and the thermals are great. Fans don't make audible noise either as I said.

I have no clue what was going on with the cards owned by the people who wrote reviews saying this card was hitting 85C-90C+ temps with extremely loud fans.. that has been the polar opposite of my experience. The stability issues also have not even ONCE been a problem for me. This GPU is paired with an i5 9600K 6-core CPU running a mild OC, 16GB's of 2,433mhz DDR4 RAM on a fairly basic LGA 1151 MSI mobo all powered by a 700W Thermaltake PSU with the OS being Windows 10. As I've said many times now and will say one final time.. this card is the best value at this price range and as long as you don't venture out of the 1080P-1440P range it will remain a solid performer for years to come on higher settings. If you like the sound of that, buy it.. don't be scared off by the reviews like I almost was.

    Needs undervolting

    Pros:

Came with Resident Evil 3, Monster Hunter: World + DLC, and 3 months of Xbox game pass. Crazy good value.

Faster than my old 2070 in all games I play.

    Cons, but not really:

Need undervolting to stay cool, I posted a picture of my settings. I didn't lost any fps by doing this. By doing this the card uses less power, which will result in lower temps.

It's not you MSI, it's me.

Try, try as I might, I had this with the intention of using it as a placeholder until the 6000 series of AMD GPUs released.

Unfortunately, there's a mixed bag of people who got this product to work, and some who couldn't figure it out, which puts me in the latter.

No matter what updates I did, ensuring no other GPU drivers were present while making sure this was up to date, and even trying two prior to the latest, I just couldn't figure out what was problematic.

Eventually, a few clean resets and a 1660 Ti later, I gave up.

I have no doubt this is a solid budget GPU, just be ready to work with it until it... Well, works.

    Ok for the price

It’s cheaper than most other 5700XTs out there. However, there is a catch. It’s memory thermal is garbage. The best way to stop the memory from thermal throttling is to replace the memory thermal pads and increase the mounting pressure by using 1mm washers. If you are not comfortable open up your card, Buy from a different brand. MSI cards are known to have bad memory thermal

    Good card!

I got it for MSFS 2020 and it does what I want it to do. I would love to have gotten a 3090 or so but they were unavailable or just to expensive at the time. I am satisfied with this card. I get reasonable frame rates on high and ultra settings.

It's really great on older CPU and hardware.

I need this card. It does what I need it to do. However. It also does some old hardware work, better, than the 6900 and 6800. So I will enjoy this card on my old board and C32 socket server CPU's. It has done me some solids. And as a side unit for the little ones when they visit. So I can game with them.
