Very comfortable to use and the ability to swap out a battery while still using the camera is genius! Nikon had the ability to do this on DSLR’s but this is a first for mirrorless as far as I’m aware

I bought this for my Nikon Z6. This has a higher amp/hr rating than the standard battery. I bought this because mirrorless cameras draw more power.

Looks the same as the old batteries but they are suppose to have more shooting life with the ZXii cameras. I can say it feels like I am getting more time with my Z6ii but I haven't been paying much attention to that. The BIG reason to get this battery is that it allows charging through the camera cable, in camera, where as all the older EN-EL batteries won't.

The older batteries still work in all the new cameras, you just can't charge them IN the camera.

A little on the expensive side but I've not had much good luck with 3rd party camera accessories in the past.

Must have extra batteries! These are rated for 400 shots, but ive noticed i can get well over 1000 shots per battery when in shooting 3-5 fps.

Purchased two and have had no problems. Last as advertised.

Highly commended: charges fast, noticeably longer period of use. The EN-EL 15c battery is the new higher capacity version of the old standard Nikon camera battery. One of my old ones, a 15b, is no longer taking much charge so I bought this one as a replacement. My Z7 camera chews through batteries, draining one in a day of shooting, especially with video. My hope was this one would last longer and it definitely does. At a guess it lasts a third longer.

Needed an extra battery. Love the fact that is battery can be charged via usbc in camera.

What can I say, it’s a camera battery and it works as advertised with my mirrorless Nikon.

This is a great product by Nikon, but a bit expensive compared with third party battery grip available from different vendors in the market. With this battery grip D7100 looks like a beast and a heavy too. Having a battery grip will give you cushion to shot longer time and not worrying about battery going to die.

I've been using battery grip floor about 3 weeks now & I love the added flexibility it gives me taking pictures.

First thing I noticed is the quality. Feels more solid and heavier than third party brands available because its made of Magnesium alloy. I have a D7100 and I "patiently" waited until the price is more reasonable until I decided to go for it, added bonus is a neoprene case for the extra battery holder (MS-D14 or MS-N) whichever you're not using.

If you like using a vertical grip like I do, this is a must. I bought this one for my D7100 and it is top notch. The build quality is just like the camera, first rate. It is very solid on the body and all controls work very smoothly and positively. If you like a grip, this is a no brainer!

I love the grip - it's very comfortable and the controls are easy to use. I also have one for my D7000 - that's why I got one when I bought the D7200. I like that I have the extra battery in the grip. I don't have to stop to put a new battery in while I'm shooting.

I have used this many times and the extra batter life works well when you cant get to a power outlet easily. Paired with 2 nikon batteries works the best for long lasting shooting.

Does put on a little extra weight, but with the camera being light as it is, I can't complain.

A great addition to my equipment, allbeit a luxury. It makes using my d7200 in portrait mode a joy. It connects & disconnects with ease. Adds a lot of bulk and weight to the camera, the only potential drawback for some folks.

Disappointed to learn that this battery grip does not fit a Nikon D7500. In fact Nikon doesn’t make on yet. Fortunately, it fit the Nikon D7200 that my wife uses

This makes all the difference with uptown 9fps when shooting those 46 mp files. Don't think twice about getting it. It makes all the difference with sports, birds, insects other moving subjects not to say it also provides the extra batter power for longer shooting times. A must!

First of all, I'm 6'3"tall and over 200 pounds so the additional weight of a Nikon - MB-D18 Battery Grip to my DSLR camera with a 70-200mm lens doesn't bother me as much as it does other people who complain about the weight. I recommend a good Black Rapid Camera Strap if you are going to be lugging it around for a long time.

This battery grip is great when your "in" camera battery is low. You can use regular batteries or you can purchase a special battery for it.

I love Nikon grips! The finish and fit are second to none. I know people who have used 3rd party grips and they just dont fit right, have play in the fit and have functional issues with reading battery percentage and stuff. They are expensive for what they are, but worth it!

You can never have enough battery or memory. This battery is ideally designed to allow for extended use and grip allows for comfort of use.

Had read several reviews of this type of item with many of them indicating that the connection between this unit and the camera body was not very stable. My experience has been quite the opposite. Once attached this unit acts and feels as if it were part of the original camera body.

I purchased the Nikon EN-EL15b Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery as a back-up when out and away from a place to charge batteries. You can never have enough batteries. This battery works great, don't waste your money on cheap after market batteries!

Solid battey with a long life, easily charged & dependable. Pricey but worth the value & wont leave you wondering if the charge will hold.

I have not had any problems with this battery! Very handy to have a spare when I need it!

Bought this battery as a backup for the one that came with my Nikon D850 camera. This one has never failed me and seems to work perfectly. There are cheaper off-brand versions but I've heard you get what you pay for with them.

Always should have a backup camera battery. Figured with my Best Buy Rewards points, I could afford an OEM battery. Nikon batteries are pretty expensive, but it's worth having a good battery in case you run out of juice with the one in the camera.

Over the years I have come to realize that not all batteries are created equal. The Nikon-branded batteries work beautifully, and keep going much longer than many other camera batteries I have used. They support a lot of shooting and long sessions, and you quickly stop worrying about them. They are not, however, cheap. I have come to think it wise to feed your camera with OEM batteries, although I didn't necessarily feel that way before I had a Nikon.

Wanted a spare battery for my D7500 and was contemplating buying an aftermarket battery, but seeing I had $35.00 in rewards certificates I decided to go with a genuine Nikon. My D7500 came with an EN-EL15a but this is just the newer model. I guess from what I resurched it can be used in the new Z series Nikons that have the ability to charge while in the camera. Well anyways it's a great battery with the same life as the original.

So far so good. I read a review on some aftermarket chargers and batteries where the charger would not fully charge the battery, but this one charged my OEM battery to 100%. It charged the after market battery to 100% also, and functioned well in camera and has held charge. It was not a fast charge by any means, it took most the night, but OEM charger is not much better if at all. I have not really used it extensively yet, so can’t comment on that yet.

I bought a new Nikon D500 to replace my inop D90. Now I needed a new battery, an near-impossible task! I guess that sales are thru the roof (covid) and these are/were hard to find. A second battery is essential. Given that I had a need and the supply was thin at best, I went with this as a spare. It doesn't have quite the capacity of the Nikon-provided battery for technical reasons, but it works great as a backup when the main battery winds down. For the price, I would re-purchase this item.

It’s OK battery lasts as long as original but I’m not sure if the original charger for the Nikon battery will charge this battery. The contacts are arranged differently than the original. Yes the battery works on the camera but I’m not sure if it’ll be charged by the Nikon charger. I also haven’t tried it since I don’t want to mess up either the Digipower battery or the Nikon charger. It’s at tour own risk.

Get it or go on line and get Ravpower batteries from Amazon. I have them and they are good too.

I was not happy with this item. Best Buy does not allow returns on opened "battery" items so be aware of that when deciding to buy this product. For the price, I feel there are many better options out there.

The CONS...

1 - The battery is only 1400mah vs. 1900mah on the Nikon version. Many other aftermarket versions are also 1900mah. This makes a big difference on run time. I don't feel I was getting enough runtime even at the 1400mah rating.

2 - The charger would only charge my OEM Nikon battery to about 67%. I assume this is due to this replacement battery being only 1400mah. I didn't keep this item long enough to test it again.

3 - The battery is not held firmly in the charger. It will easily fall out if bumped while on the wall. It should snap in or otherwise lock into place for safety.

These are 3 dealbreakers for me. Therefore, personally, I would look for better alternative items.

It’s either this or buy a Nikon battery for almost double the price haha. I bought this because I was buying a camera off of offer up and the person did not have a charger.... (I know what you’re thinking lol) but I needed a battery to make sure the camera worked. I tested the camera it was fine. I now use this battery in the vertical grip for this camera. It’s in a dslr, so I wouldn’t use it for the z mirrorless cameras honestly I think those take a different kind. But for my d7200 it’s great. Ive been on multiple all day shoots and haven’t needed to swap out batteries. I keep the original Nikon one in camera and use this one in my grip and have my camera set to use the grip battery first. I usually don’t even touch the in camera battery. I take thousands of stills but no video at all. So keep that in mind.

The battery and charger came in very fast (1 day). I have D7100 Nikon camera and lost my battery charger. This charger kit works great!

It works as expected. I bought this because I was traveling out of state and forgot my initial charger.

Fast charger and great backup for my camera! Always keep a second battery fully charged with you, and having this charger you know when it's good to go with the indicator light.

Needed to replace the backup battery for my D7100. This one comes in at a much cheaper price. So far so good.
