This steering wheel is a 1/8th scale size replica wheel but wow the quality blew me away it felt better than the steering wheel in my real car, I use this for my thrust master tx458 which lets you interchange wheels

The best steering wheel for the Thrustmaster!

There isn't much to say, I do a lot of research before I buy anything on the Internet. I bought the Thrustmaster TX racing wheel, sold the steering wheel it came with and upgraded to this one. Closer to real world steering wheel size and so much better feel. A world of difference, you won't regret the size and quality of this wheel!

    Love this wheel!

I love this wheel I got the leather wheel edition as that was the only one offered with the Xbox one and the leather wheel started to hurt my hands after long Forza 6 play sessions I actually started to use racing gloves ha-ha. I found this nice Alcantara wheel and its so soft that my hands don't hurt anymore so no racing gloves are needed anymore. :)

Does exactly what I needed it to... work well with Elite Dangerous and not cost what a Thrustmaster HOTAS does. So far everything works well except for the little cover for the "safe" fire button - even when down it still stays red instead of going green. I just leave it up and don't worry about it. The buttons can be super senstitive such that I occasionally hit something I don't intend to but that is just a matter of getting used to it. I do have to unplug it for Battlefront 2 because it just makes you spin in circles. Minor annoyance.

    A must have

If I could change one thing, it would be having the option to mount it from the top (so it hangs off the desk) for a more natural angle instead of sitting on the desk as it does now... But that's being picky. My Mac and X-Plane 11 instantly recognized this controller, and I was up and running in under 15 minutes

    It is good

So far so good, great sence of reality and it feels good and smooth. How ever I would have liked it for the yoke to get a full 90 deg rotation each side intead of aproximatelly 45, mpst airplanes go up to a 90 deg. It takes a second to adjust your brain to the fact few degrees of movement on your hand represent a bit more in the simulator since it has to compensate the missmatch in rotation. But in general is not bad for the prise. I am happy with it

Controller 5 Stars, Best Buy 0, missing cable

The controller is amazing! The quality felt like the oem SNES controller as I still have my original controllers. The analog sticks feel like they were there all along, as well as the L2/R2 buttons! I use this on my Switch, phone, and am trying to figure out how to use on a PS4.

The bad was I purchased one from Best Buy that said was Open Box Excellent Condition and included everything. This has never happened before but I guess an employee was feeling lazy and did not check the contents of the box. Luckily I have other USB-C cables. I cannot go to the store to return it and its a hassle online. I tried to call and the wait time was over two hours. So just be wary if you buy an open box controller that says everything is in there.

    D-Pad is a vast improvement

If you have small hands then this controller is surprisingly ergonomic.

Buttons feel great and low travel time when using the D-Pad, which has a much more satisfying press than even the Pro Controller.

The inclusion of the analog sticks are fantastic. Look and feel exactly like the PS4 DS4, and even in the same location.

Very easy to pair with a Nintendo Switch and the included charge cable is an added bonus.

As great as the reviews suggest

This controller is great, it can be paired with multiple devices at a time and has great accuracy. It also packs pretty well, given its fairly flat form factor.

I would definitely buy this again in a heartbeat, it would be really great if they made a phone clip which could hold the Galaxy Fold 2 for this controller.

Definitely try and buy it on sale

    Must-have for classic gaming!

Great controller! I bought it for playing NES and SNES games on the Nintendo Switch. While the Pro controller is great for Switch games, it didn’t have the right feel for the older virtual console games. The 8BitDo did the trick. It’s not the cheapest thing out there, but the quality is top notch and the ‘button-feel’ is at least as good as the original system controllers. No lag, either. Battery life is also outstanding - I charge it every few days, but never seen it drop below 50%, even after hours of constant play.

Fantastic analogue sticks that feel better than the sticks I have used on other similar controllers such as the Switch pro controller, amazing D-PAD that functions with the best of them which is sure to keep 2D aficionados happy, solidly constructed face buttons with trigger buttons that just have an oh so satisfying click when you press them.

    Great controller!

I really like this controller. I've got it synced with my laptop, switch, and tablet, and it's easy to switch between them. I've been playing a lot recently and the battery lasts a pretty long time. It was a little bigger than I was expecting. Compared to an xbox one controller it feels a little wider. If you're someone with smaller hands, it may be a little uncomfortable. And if you do play a lot of xbox you can remap the buttons using the 8bitdo software so that when you play on switch the A and B buttons are where they would be on an xbox controller.

It's a solid controller. If you're looking, this is a great one to pick up.

The best controller I've ever used, period.

I got this as a replacement for my old Xbox controller I was using for my pc. I had broken the d-pad by playing old SNES games and when I saw this at the store. I had to give it a go. I'm about 3 days into using it. So far it has worked BETTER than I could have hoped. This is one of the highest quality controllers I have ever had my hands on. Plus it's wireless.

    How it feels;

I would say it's similar to a PlayStation controller, as far as feel and weight goes. But there is something about the buttons that just, runs it home for me. I think it's that (like the original SNES controller) the B and A buttons are flat, while the Y and x are very lightly concave. Maybe it's the nostalgia talking but it feels so "right" to use this. Bonus, the select and start buttons feel like the originals as well! I will also say for people with smaller hands, I think you will still be able to use it just fine. I'm a woman, and I had no issues reaching any of the buttons.

Something I wanted to address in my review is the Bluetooth connection and input delay. I see that few people seem to have a delay. I have had no such issue. I've even been able to do frame perfect jumps and clips with this controller with no issue (well other than my lack of skill) I would say if you are having delay issues, check your Bluetooth connection, or swap the controller out for a new one, as no matter the product. Defective units will sometimes happen. I am even using a super cheap insignia Bluetooth USB, and it still works perfectly.

As for compatibility, I've had no issues with just picking it up and playing it with my emulators or steam, and non-listen programs have even been able to use it (think Epic games, and such) I've tested out a few games just for this review, and I have yet to find one that requires you to do anything more than moving "keyboard and mouse" option to "controller".

In conclusion. I'm a super picky person, I very quickly can pick out things I like and don't from just about any product. Most of the time, when I get something like this. I think of what brand I'll try next because I am rarely ever 100% happy with a product. So I keep searching for the unicorns that work perfectly for me.

I found my unicorn with this controller. I hope BestBuy gets the other colors in stock.

Ps. I saw no one had pictures with them holding it. Thought that it might help someone to see how the hold looks.

    Great controller

I waited to write this review until I had a chance to test the controller out on my pc and switch, playing a variety of games. All I can say is, it works like a charm. The buttons and joysticks feel good and responsive. Plus, the thing just feels good in my hands. I've been an Xbox user for so long, I forgot how much I prefer the PS thumbstick layout. So much better. All in all, highly recommended.

Fills the gap of a DualShock4 perfectly

Was doing my best to get a DS4 up and running on my PC to avoid using a 360 controller *wretches*, but the Bluetooth connection was spotty, and so was my USB connection. Grabbed this on sale, put some batteries in it, ran the software package from the website, got the buttons running PS4 style via XINPUT to get me all set. Now anything I don't use MNK for sees the 8-BitDo step in and handle.

Definitely recommended to those looking for a DS4 alternative and wanting to avoid the asymmetrical nightmare that is the XBOX controller.

Last note, this controller is slightly larger around the shoulder buttons area than the DS4. But a little playtime can see you getting used to it.

    Tough competition to Xbox controller

I can't believe I'm saying this but I love this controller more than my Xbox one. The only thing that I slightly dislike on this is the fact that it is not wireless. It comes with a 10' long cable (a braided USB-C to USB-A) which is more than enough for me but I'm accustomed to play with the wireless ones. So it was little hard for me initially to get used to it. Controller feels great and seems to work perfectly with my PC. The controller feels great in hand and buttons are solid. There's a lot of value in this controller with features such as textured grip, programmable buttons, Series X Share button, and the built in audio controls. Connecting this controller to my Xbox was a breeze and I was able to get it to work easily. It was practically plug and play. This controller has amazed me in it's quality and feel overall. The programmable buttons on the rear can even be programmed to a sequence of buttons rather than a single input as well! The vibration motors work great and it's super comfortable. It truly feels like an Xbox One controller (honestly better due to the grippy texture of the rear plate. It feels like mid-weight as it is not too heavy nor too light. Nice clicky buttons, good spring on the controller paddles. I used it to play Metal Gear Solid V game and I can't tell how many times those two buttons on the rear of the controller have come in handy. It's literally a game changer. I cannot speak for long term use and how well it holds up, but out of the box it feels super high quality compared to the cheaper controllers as well as the official Xbox and PlayStation controllers. The more I use it the more I fall in love with it. Turtle beach is a renowed company and it has lived up to its expectations. Good quality controller, sturdy, very responsive buttons... over all very nice quality. And this comes from an avid gamer, and one who has bought other 3rd party controllers online, which were usually subpar. Feels exactly like an xbox one controller except the handles are textured and easier to hold onto for longer periods of time. So far, I couldn't be happier with this. I waited an entire week and have used this controller pretty heavily before I could write a review because I wanted to be thorough. Well here you go, my honest opinion: 5 out of 5 stars!

Used for 2 weeks and issues already

I wanted to get some good playtime in on this controller before I sent a review. First impresstion is how light the controller is compared to others like it. Setting mapping in game to compensate playstyle is quick and effortless. The 10 ft cable is more than enough for me and the enhanced sound is amazing I can hear everything clear and crisp. RECENTLY I STARTED EXPERIENCING an issue where the controller will stop movement mid game still powered on and I will hear a high pitched noise and no game noise. I have to quickly remove the cable and then plug back in and everything works fine. This is only after about 2 hours of the controller being played with. I have slightly bumped the usb c cable or moved with my fingers and without removing the cable the controller will power off and back on immidiatly. I have had issues when mapping the left bumper where i am noy able to use the bumper and the mapped button below. Because of these issues i give 3 stars. Day 1 purchaser would recomend if bugs are worked out.

    Affordable and Powerful for Cross-platform

To get right to it, this is a great controller and a truly remarkable value at this price point. I’ve used Turtle Beach audio devices for decades and I’ve never been disappointed.

I’m mostly a PC gamer but I have an Xbox One S as well and I love having a single controller that works easily and with almost exactly the same functionality on both platforms. The only thing that doesn’t work on both platforms is the “chat mix” which controls chat volume separately from game volume. Not a big deal to me personally but worth noting if chat is a big part of your gaming.

    - Cross-platform compatibility.

    - The integrated audio controls were the standout feature to me. Having the volume controls, EQ settings, and mic-mute all handy was fantastic.

    - The 4 EQ presets were basic but adequate (Signature, Bass boost, Treble-boost, Bass+Treble boost), especially for quick on-the-fly adjustments. I found myself continually using the “Signature” EQ preset, it was easily the most balanced sound profile to my ears.

    - Superhuman audio -- So far as I can tell this is more of a 5th EQ setting that highlights frequencies in the typical footstep/reloading/creaking/door range to draw your attention to them over other ambient sounds, its effectiveness will vary game to game and I personally didn’t think it helped much. But it doesn’t hurt to have the option.

    - The programmable buttons were useful to map to specific controller actions.

    - On a PC, the Recon doesn’t show as an audio device until you plug in a headset. Plug in a headset though and it’ll show up as “Headphones (Xbox Controller)” in a few seconds, and will become a separate audio-out selectable device. Not surprisingly, all of the Recon audio controls (EQ, Volume, Mic-mute) work even on PC. As noted above, only “chat mix” doesn’t work in Windows 10, and that’s documented in the guide so it’s to be expected.

The one thing: I loved almost everything about this controller except one thing, and this one thing is going to be pretty subjective so I consider it more an observation than a criticism. Although the controller is very similar physically to an original Xbox controller, there’s just enough of a difference that I found my hands starting to cramp during gaming sessions. I’ve compared it side-by-side with an original Xbox controller and the main difference to me seems to be that the original Xbox controller palm holds are slightly more meaty and simply fit into my palms better. It may well be something I’ll just get used to, and I hope that’s the case, because this is a powerful and affordable controller that packs a lot of additional convenient capabilities into the standard form factor and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, especially cross-platform gamers.

Great sound and control in one

I’m using this Recon controller with a matching Turtle Beach Recon headset connected via the 3.5mm plug. Although I’m using the Recon headset, the controller works with any compatible 3.5mm headset. Sound is excellent coming through the controller to the headset and sounds just as good as if the headset were connected directly to the console or PC. The controller can adjust headset volume, mic level and also has EQ and Superhuman hearing features which significantly enhance sound quality when active. The Superhuman hearing amplifies overall sound while placing a heavier emphasis on ambient sounds. The EQ works with presets and offers four sound profiles that place emphasis on bass boost, bass and treble boost, vocal boost and signature sound. The others are self-explanatory but signature sound is more neutral and evenly balanced all around. It’s similar to an EQ with everything zeroed. The mic level controls how loud the mic projects the speaker’s voice. Gaming and music both sound terrific and it is nice to have volume and mic controls with visual indicators conveniently available right on the handset.

The controller looks and functions almost identically to an Xbox controller. Aside from a few minor visual differences, the only significant functional differences are the addition of the sound features, button mapping options and two additional “quick action” buttons on the bottom of the remote. The quick action buttons are mappable and although they may be useful to some users, I personally find them annoying. I have no use for the buttons but constantly find myself accidentally hitting them due to their location and the way I grip the controller. They aren’t currently mapped on this controller, so they’re not functional at the moment and don’t affect gaming but it’s still annoying because they are practically unavoidable. Quick action button issues aside, the controller has a comfortable ergonomic feel similar to the Xbox controller. The grips, triggers and buttons are a little more textured than the Xbox controller which makes them easier to identify during intense gaming. The buttons and analog sticks have good accuracy and responsiveness. The sensitivity of the right stick can be tweaked through the Pro-Aim Focus feature. The controller rumble/vibration also works well when activated.

The only thing that some may consider a con with this controller is that there is no wireless version available at the moment. With the controller wired to the console or PC and the headset wired to the controller, it can get somewhat cumbersome having two cables heading in opposite directions. Thankfully, the cables for both the Recon controller and headphones are lengthy and constructed of durable, tear resistant braided fabric. The detachable USB-C to USB-A controller cable is ten-feet long, which should be adequate length for most stationary usage scenarios. A wired controller may sacrifice some freedom but this particular controller offers added convenience in return. It facilitates headset sound control, mic gain control and on-the-fly button mapping all through the controller rather than being forced to use separate software and hardware for these tasks.

    Price to performance is amazing

I play a lot of pc games. But mainly I put the most hours in on Warzone and FPS games. So naturally I want to use the best controller possible. Normally I use my ps4 controller with the Sony back button attachment that I actually love. But because The ps4 remote is not made for windows like an Xbox controller is, I notice a bit of latency while playing. Not a huge lag. But I can just tell. So I wanted to try a remote that is tailored to work with windows (PC Games). This turtle beach while inexpensive is amazing for the retail price. Other controllers with these amount of features cost at least double. And this is ONLY 59.99$. We have come a long way. Because I love this controller. The difference is very noticeable over the ps4 remote. When aiming with the turtle beach Recon, it feels more so like a mouse while ADSing. Hard to explain but when you get yours you will see what I mean. I did start to see my average kill count go up by at least 2-5 kills in resurgence.

The rumble hits harder and more precise than the ps4 controller. This remote feel like your typical Xbox series x controller but more grip and lighter as well. Doesn’t feel cheap at all. I thought it might lack quality because of the price. But it’s great. Back buttons are maybe not are great as the back button attachment but work perfectly after you program them. Which is easy if you actually read through the user manual. Sound EQ is nice as well. Though with most new games you can tune the Audio for better foot steps. This has that feature built in and will be easier for most gamers. Volume controls and chat controls are also built it which I love. So nice to just click up or down and not have to do that on the pc itself. Awesome job there. Turtle beach has thought of everything. This uses a type C connection but I keep it plugged in either way as it is not wireless. I think that’s where they saved the Money to pass the savings onto us, the gamers. And I appreciate that with the way you things are nowadays.

I promise you will love this controller for both Xbox and PC. But especially PC gaming.

Please note: If you never tried back buttons yet. It’s tough at first but once you are used to it. You won’t ever go back. Turtle beach you have a winner on your hands with this product. Great job!

Enhanced audio and aim, at an affordable price

The Turtle Beach Recon controller for Xbox is a step in right direction for third party Xbox controllers. It’s compatible with the Xbox One, Series X/S and PC. Because it’s designed primarily with the Xbox in mind, the chat mix doesn’t work on PC, but all other functions are compatible.

So what’s different about this controller? The best features are the enhanced audio settings and the Pro-Aim focus mode. The audio presets offer four different EQ enhancements, boosting bass and treble frequencies. I preferred the first setting, which is their signature setting. You can also turn this off. In addition, there’s a Superhuman Hearing mode, that’s basically a mid-range boost, so that you hear enemy footsteps and weapon reloads better. It sounds a little boxy, so I prefer using the EQ boost. I can see myself using it in a competitive game mode, when I’m the only one left on my team and I need to hear everything. The nice thing is that it’s just a click away.

Another neat feature is the mic monitoring. I’ve always had this complaint about the regular controller, including the Elite controller. Not being able to hear myself talk makes me want to speak louder, so hearing my voice back in the headphones is wonderful. There are four volume levels, in addition to turning it off.

The controller has two mappable quick-action buttons. I typically map these to A and B, and that works nicely and it’s easy to change to any button you want. This controller also has the Pro-Aim focus mode. This is a new feature for me and I actually like it a lot. Simply explained, it slows down the aim dramatically when you push the right mappable button. It’s best to reset the button when using this feature, but you can use both at the same time if you’d like. There are four levels, but level 1 already makes a big difference. 3 and 4 practically locks the aim in place, but I’m using a medium/high setting, so you might find these useful, if you use really high aim settings.

The controller feels comfortable in my hands. The textured surfaces feel nice, although it’s an adjustment for me, since I’m used to the smooth surfaces of the first Elite controller. It’s more noticeable on the triggers, because I’m constantly pushing them in. I might prefer less texture there, because they feel just a tiny bit rough on my finger tips.

This controller requires a cable. It’s 10 feet long, so hopefully that’s enough for most people. My Xbox is pretty close to my chair, so the length is perfect. I use a cable anyway, so it doesn’t change anything for me.

I’ve used this on my Xbox One X and Windows 10 PC without any problems. I don’t have an Xbox Series X yet, but I will certainly use this controller when I get it, because it is fully compatible with it.

If you’re looking for better audio and more accurate aim for the same price as a regular controller, the Turtle Beach Recon controller is the one for you!

Great all in one Gaming controller

Turtle Beach's Recon controller really is a all in one gaming controller that should fit just about everyone's needs perfectly. What makes the controller so nice is the fact that you have access to all control necessary for gaming all within fingers reach. The fact that this is a Xbox controller means it fits perfectly for console and PC gaming.

Out of the box its pretty basic, you get the controller and usb-c cable to run the controller. Keep in mind this is a wired controller and is not wireless at least as of writing this review. The controller is well designed fitting comfortably in hand with side cooling grips which act to keep your hands free from sweat while the ridges add for extra grip. The backside of the controller offers two additional paddles which can be used to map your other buttons for quick access. While the front of the controller houses your standard Xbox set up with your X,Y,B,A buttons Turtle beach took it a step further by implementing a volume/chat button, super hearing button, mic mute button, equalizer button and mode select button. One thing to keep in mind is the equalizer is pre-set to four different settings and can not be adjusted, at least not that i could find that is. On the bottom of the controller you will find your 3.5 mm jack which serves as your access port for your audio/chat headset. Once a headset is connected you can then adjust volume and chat controls all via your controller. The volume button will raise or lower in game audio while the chat button will allow you to raise and lower your chat audio allowing you to find that perfect balance between the two. The super hearing button is perfect for those of you in to competitive gaming such as COD, battle royales or other such games. Once activated the audio will change allowing more emphasis on your mids and highs which makes footsteps more distinct. Believe me when i say it is definitely easier to pick up on foot steps or engine noises allowing you to not only tell when someone is coming but also pick up on the direction and distance on which they are closing in on you. The mode button allows you to switch between four different pre set profiles which all change your audio, equalizer and aim settings. Speaking of aim modes Turtle beach implemented a feature called Pro Aim Focus mode. When activated the little crosshair icon will light up on the controller letting you know that pro aim is on. What this does is adjust the sensitivity level on the right joystick based on your play or shooting style. Profile 1 will set the stick to the lowest settings allowing snipers to get a more precise shot while profile 4 will max out your sensitivity allowing run and gunners to get the advantage on the quick draw. One thing i want to touch on that i may of passed up is audio and chat quality. One thing i was worried about with using the controller as a piggyback for your headset was loss of quality. Surprisingly audio quality was very good during my play throughs of cutscenes on solo RPGs. All my mids and lows hit crisp and clean allowing me to feel every bass drop as explosions went off. While playing FPS (first person shooters) i was able to pick up on every footstep and noise near me allowing me to get the upper hand on my enemies. Chat was clean and clear allowing myself to be heard easily as well as allowing my team mates to be heard with no drop outs. Obliviously keep in mind all of this is gonna vary depending on your headset.

Here's my take away from this headset. This is a very nice unit to have, especially at the price point that this unit is coming in at. What sucks is i personally own units that are double and triple the price of this controller and yet this controller performs just as good if not even slightly better in some areas. The controls are very precise and almost no lag exist. Audio is crisp and clear with not a single drop out or latency issue. My only real gripe with the controller (its a small gripe) is the fact that there appears to be no customizable options for this controller. Meaning the joystick tops can not be removed to allow for wider cushions for larger hands. Basically the whole unit appears to be modular making customizable parts almost impossible to achieve on this controller. But that is a minor complaint and one just simply worth noting. Overall if i had this controller before hand then i can promise you i definitely would of never have bought a more expensive controller as this one performs so beautifully. Do yourself a favor and stop looking around and pick yourself up one.

    Much better that the controller

If you want to get more immerse in you racing game this is a good way to start. I bought Gran Turismo VR for Christmas. Then I saw this on sale and decided to go all the way and buy the Steering wheel. I had the Logitech G27 with the PS3 but that steering wheel was not compatible with the PS4. For years I missed playing racing games with the steering wheel but I finally full the trigger and bought the G29. The feedback you get with this is amazing, you will have much better control of your car and a much better experience overall. I went crazy and built a cockpit to roll in front of the TV whenever I’m going to play a racing game.

    The immersion is incredible!

The process of using this steering wheel is as easy as plug it in, turn on the PS4, it will start turning going through it's calibration, and start your engines because you're ready to race! It's that easy, it is a true plug and play accessory. I've only used it so far playing "Gran Turismo Sport", and the force feedback is incredible, it does feel like you're really driving (especially in VR). It's amazing how far the technology has come from using a joystick with one button playing Atari's Drag Racing, to using this realistic steering wheel and feeling every bump in the road. If you are looking for a steering wheel then I highly recommend you picking up this one, you won't be disappointed.

Great Wheel but Requires Some Adjustments

This is a solidly built wheel. I've been using it on my PS4 with Dirt {4, Rally} and Need for Speed {Payback, Rivals}. For the most part, works as expected. The USB cable for the PS4 is also a little short, so I use an extension cable. I had to adjust the force feedback calibrations for Dirt Rally. The brake pedal requires a lot of force to get to 100%, but if you push too hard, the pedals may start to slide across the floor. These are solvable problems, but it requires some adjusting to.

    Basic throttle; good quality

This is a basic, plastic throttle quadrant - although that might be all you need. For the price, it's a great product. Use this with XPlane and MSFS - easy to set-up and remap as needed. It's perfect for controlling most GA aircraft and not too far off for 2-engine airliners. Can pair two of them together and map appropriately if you have more complex needs, and still cheaper than the backordered Honeycomb Bravo.

G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel Review

All in all, the g920 is a pretty good wheel if you’re going for a budget build. If you don’t mind paying $400 I would get the g923. I am using Windows 10 and the g920 Xbox version on a Asus gaming laptop which can run this pretty well. The Brake pedal is quite stiff and has dual motors unlike the newer model g923. The pedals are better on the g923 in that regard. The price on the g920 is still pricey for how long this model has been on the market it most likely would sell better if it was at $150 but that’s my opinion. It’s not the newest model but good for what I wanted. Games I play using this is: Forza Horizon 4, Need for Speed Heat, BeamNG.Drive and the Crew 2 there are most likely more games that are better with this wheel but those are all I have. But like I said before it’s a good wheel for what it’s worth.

    Truly Impressive!

I bought this thing after hearing some good things about it by another co-worker....but i had no idea the level of awesomeness until i tried it for myself!

The wheel is made of what feels like high quality leather. It is super comfortable to grip, and good grip it slipping. What impresses me the most about the wheel is how real it feels. I play Forza 7, and when a tire(s) looses traction, or half my car goes off the road, i can literally feel it in the steering wheel. The way the wheel vibrates and wants to pull to the sides forcing me to fight it and counter steer.....that's as real as it gets for a racing video game in my opinion!

In addition, i also purchased the Logitech 6 speed shifter, and i use the clutch on this unit and i find that that puts the "fun level" in an all new category! The shifter is a must have for anyone who wants to really enjoy racing in an ultra real feeling simulator. Just don't forget to set the in game settings to "Manual with clutch" as i just put it on "Manual" not knowing their was a 3rd option. I was wondering why my clutch was not working for a couple races!

My only complaint was with the break pedal. You had to REALLY put a lot of leg muscle into hitting the breaks. Seems like there is something stopping the break from working completely. Other reviews i read said their is a rubber piece that you can remove. I simply changed the sensitivity settings in game for the break, and that salved the problem perfectly without having to conduct any type of surgery on my new Logitech break unit.

Overall, if you are a racing fanatic, this is a MUST HAVE HANDS DOWN!!

I don’t play racing games without this

If you are looking for a steering wheel but thinking should I buy that? You came to the right one. This equipment I feel is top notch. The ingame feel is amazing. I use this in IRacing and won my first race a week ago. (Kinda started two weeks ago) i also bought the gear shifter with it as well. Also a must have. I would advise to have a sturdy desk or surface to put the wheel on. I use a desk and also find a way to mount your foot peddles they will slide on the floor if not. Luckily I have a family wood shop and build a platform for my peddles. Also Best Buy has a huge deal on this. I got the wheel for $219. A 45% discount. The wheel was originally $399 so I got the wheel the shifter and a 2 year geek squad protection for $367 out the door. You want one just wait til it goes back up for sale.

I like it as my first wheel

It’s a very nice wheel for me with only a few minor draw backs such as the super stiff brake but this can be worked around in most games by messing with the brake deadzones in most games. In the beginning the Force Feedback is a bit knotchy at first but when it is broken in it feels smoother though some games like Forza are just bad for FFB and wheels in general, which brings me to my next minor drawback which is at no fault to the wheel is in more Arcady games like forza the steering can feel vague and your lap times will be worse on the wheel than the controller so I wouldn’t recommend this for Forza however I would strongly recommend this wheel for racing sims as it is more consistent, immersive, and MAY REDUCE LAP TIMES which is awesome. You can be more precise in the steering with the wheel and makes sims like Project Cars more accessible. Oh almost forgot, one last drawback is the LSB and RSB buttons don’t appear to work but can be worked around by having your controller on at the same time to use the RS and LS buttons since the can be used at the same time.

A must have to enjoy racing

Solid built and it's easy to use, I play mostly Dirt Rally 2.0 and Project Cars 2. Not for F1 fans!

It's great for an entry level shifter if you don't want to spend hundreds.

For casual playing is pretty good, but get a rack for the wheel, pedals and shifter. There are some decent ones around ~$100.

    There's only one major cons:

It's way to easy to shift wrong as it has almost no feedback so when you try to follow the navigator in DR2.0 it's frustrating. There's an almost non-existent tension so you have to pay extra attention when you do fast shifts.

A small minus is the missing 7th and 8th gear. You can't use it when you drive any car with abovementioned gearing. Not a huge minus, but for certain cars you need to use the pedals on the steering wheel.

There are some mods out there which make it easier to handle giving a better feedback, but the better ones are too expensive and the cheaper ones are too easy to brake.

Using with Logitech G920 for Xbox, playing Forza 3. Having shifter is nice, although I do find myself using both this and the paddle shifts sometimes. Definitely nice to have direct route for reverse :) Not liking the push-down for reverse though, all my real cars had/have a pull up collar, but I guess that's too costly to simulate on controller. Pretty happy with it nevertheless.

Inaccurate shifts cost me valuable seconds on lap times. Ended up not using it. Modern day cars use paddle shifters anyway so if you really need the old school feel then go for it, otherwise it isn’t necessary.

    Nice addition to G29

I bought this shifter to go along with my G29 race wheel and it doesn't disappoint. This is the first shifter I've ever owned so I can't really compare it to anything else, but from my time with it I'd have to say it does exactly what it's suppose to do. I use it mainly on my ps4 with games like driveclub and project cars. Nice effortless shifting action although the push down reverse takes some getting use to(but how often do you use reverse in driving games). I would definitely recommend looking into mounting it rather than clamping. The clamps are strong, but after buying the wheel stand pro to go along with my setup there is no way I could go back to clamping it down. The wheel stand allows you to use the screw holes on the bottom of the shifter and wheel to screw it down and it doesn't move an inch. The shifter seems very sturdy and well built. I only hope more games come out soon that use it. The only complaints that I would have with this shifter is that it should have came packaged with the G29 for the hefty price tag it carries(399.99). Forking out another 50 bucks on top of that for the shifter is kind of crazy considering that the G27 came with it. Also I wish it had a sequential shift option like the G25 had. It's like your paying more for less. With those small gripes aside let's not forget that this is a review for the shifter alone, and with that being said it's definitely more enjoyable flying through the gears with this baby so i'd have to recommend it for the avid race fan.

    The Xbox controller we needed!

Purchased for my freshly built PC. Unable to buy a Series X, I built a new PC and to complete the feel of having a new system. I purchased this, the brand new Series X controller with Windows adapter.

Works and installed as it should! Plugged in adapter, let it install itself and it’s drivers, I also plugged the controller into my old Xbox and updated the controller itself. I pressed the sync button on the adapter and controller and boom, it was ready to play!

The new features to the controller is just what it needed. The textured grips on the palm grips and triggers/bumpers are amazingly satisfying. The new d-pad is fantastic and the click is also just super satisfying.

    Happy With My Xbox Controller

I purchased the Xbox controller for my PC and so far I have not had but one small problem upon installing the batteries. At first, it would not power on and I think it was probably because the batteries were not getting a good connection. But after I fooled with It a bit it did finally power on. So with that, I am very well pleased.

I have been playing many different games through steam and the controller works with well with all of them. I recommend this to anyone who plays games that require a controller on their PC. Does it’s job, mostly

I have come across an issue where my connection between my PC and controller will randomly disconnect and try re-syncing. The main reason for this purchase was to have an adapter to avoid Bluetooth connectivity issues. I’ve mainly experienced this if I were to ever connect my controller to my Xbox and then switch to PC. Firmware has been updated, so this is just a pain at times. If not switching back and forth ever, the controller works perfectly. Guess I’ll just use this solely as a PC controller, which I have no issues with.

This is cost me almost $100 to get it here to my house from the store after taxes and all that and I would say it is worth it. It feels like a $100 controller!!!!!! I'd say buy if your into playing pc games with a controller. (It is kind of an experiment or experimental to use a controller to play pc games but this makes it quite the fun experience!) Also you can use it for a x/s series Xbox. I would say this controller beats the ps4 controller I have buy a 99.9 % margin. LOL. Anyway, buy it if you can afford it, it's worth it.

Charging 60$ for these I don’t know how the Ps5 controller is but if it last longer than 3 months I’d rather buy a Ps5 before any Xbox series console. It’s a d shame.

    Windows Xbox Controller (Reasonably Priced)

Ultra-lightweight (without batteries) and a little less solidly built than the older XBOX PATROL controller. This is a Windows OR an Xbox controller. The older one has a rechargeable battery sealed into the controller which makes it feel a bit heavier. This model uses 2 AA batteries for a wifi connection. A headphone jack and a USB C input for an Xbox S or X gaming console. Happy Gaming!

    - Not only did they finally get fix the d-pad, it now has inclined up edges on the d-pad that make it quicker to hit the directions. - There's now a nice textured gripping on the controller handles that used to be only on more expensive versions of the Xbone controller.

    - The Xbox One is forwards compatible so I can use it even now when the Xbox Series are impossible to find.

    Very satisfied.

    Super Realistic Experience

I purchased this to use on Xbox One X and I was not disappointed! I already had a racing chair that I got at a garage sale so all I had to do was hook this up to it and I was ready to race! I tried it out on a couple different types of games and it performed above expectations on all of them. I will say the most fun was a dirt derby game where you do time trials off-road. It’s crazy how realistic it feels. I felt like I was actually driving off-road and felt every bump and twitch. It’s a little tough to get the hang of at first and can be a little frustrating but once you get it you’ll never wanna stop using it. I wish this type of technology was around 15 years ago when all the racing games were big on PS2 but it’s available now and I say take advantage of that!

    Amazing real-life driving force feedback

This LOGITECH G923 TRUEFORCE SIM RACING WHEEL is spectacular! I have the Xbox/PC version, with pedals.

I may not have enough money to buy a supercar, but this lets me drive like I do. I love the force feedback feeling, and customizations that I can do. I bought the Forza Horizon 4 PC game, and it does have force feedback, but not the official “Trueforce technology,” like it does in Grid (2019), Assetto Corsa Competitzione, and Gran Turismo Sport. They have the “Trueforce technology” and that is significantly more accurate feel than the regular force feedback. The realism is beyond compare. 1000/second polling rate, direct Sim integration, has Vibrotactile for a more precise realism. YOU FEEL EVERYTHING, not just a little twist of the wheel here and there. You can customize a ton of settings, including the force, sensitivity, range, center spring strength, Torque, etc. Logitech has a website all about that technology, and is really worth a read, if you are considering buying this.

The G923 is so new that Forza has not recognized it yet, but should have it in an update. Meaning, when I start the game it says an unrecognizable device is plugged in, so I had to manually assign the buttons and pedals, and save the profile. Then it works.

There are foot pedals (Gas/Brake/clutch) that mimics the performance and are pressure sensitive. On the bottom, there are carpet nobs to prevent it from slipping across the room when you slam on the gas/brakes if on carpet, and rubber stops for hard surfaces. The wheel also has a clamp extension, so if I wanted to clamp it onto a thinner surface, it will attach, or if it is a thicker table, in my situation, the extra piece detaches, allowing for a larger opening. Basically, it is a little clip an adapter.

There are shifter paddles, typical directional up/down/left/right button, A/B/X/Y buttons, 2 additional buttons (like start/menu buttons), and an up/down buttons, as well as an enter/rotation knob. Something that is super cool, is the Built-in colored LEDs that show your RPM range (in supported games). You can program the dual clutch launch assist to get a better start for races, which is like they do in real life. It takes a little effort to set it up, but the results give you an advantage for sure.

    When installing:

Specifically on my 1 laptop, the tricky part was getting the Logitech G Hub software to install on my laptop, which you need in order to use this racing wheel. The G Hub would never finish installing, and would just sit there with a spinning Logitech logo. I left it processing overnight, even tried restarting several times, used admin install, etc. After reading online, others had that same issue when installing G Hub on a Microsoft Surface Book 3. But the trick was to install the older version 20.1 then update it within the software, and it works. I contacted Logitech and they are aware of the issue and are going to add it to a new release update.

    Make driving realistic

Not knowing how it would work, I was pleasantly surprised to see the clever mounting system attached without any damage to my dinning room table. Which is also great for quick removal. I will put my carpentry skills to work creating a Z frame for mounting the wheel like the more expensive factory built units.

Logitech's wheel worked flawlessly and easily on the Xbox console. Plug it in and it works.

A little more of a challenge on the WINDOWS 10 gaming laptop. Once we figured out how to install the driver from Ghub, we were able to get STEAM driving apps to work. Using the control center in the game to relate the pedals, wheel and paddle switches to mimick the original keyboard command.

Than made the wheels feedback very realistic. Mimicked the slippery feel of wet pavement, trudging over swampy terrain in a jeep, etc.,.

Love the Xbox and now the PC interface. The wheel has a BLUE center as on real race cars. The auto centering works fantastic.

Note: keep you hands off the wheel when you first start it up and plug it in. I performs a reset on its HOME sensors and spins the wheel to both extremes.

Love it! Wish I could use all the buttons.

Went from controller to this wheel. I love it! Yes sometimes I can feel the gears in the wheel like on a long straight away but it doesn't bother me. I think a wheel designed with gears will outlast a belt driven wheel and that's what I need. My only complaint at this point is lack of support from games for trueforce. I'm primarily playing Forza 7 and I cannot vote for next track since the L Button isn't supported or many of the other buttons on the wheel for that matter. I know in future the wheel will be better supported.

Racing Immersion to the Next Level

    --- SETUP ---

The Logitech Racing Wheel and Pedals for Xbox One is simple to set up. There is a permanently attached USB cable to the steering wheel but all others connect to the wheel. Under the wheel base, there is a nice oval-shaped groove to allow you to coil the cables in a neat way so that you only have the length that you need. You will need an electrical outlet nearby to complete the setup. The wheel itself has hooks that are easy to pull up and down with some cleverly hidden knobs that secure the wheel to any flat surface .

    --- FEATURES ---

The main features of this steering wheel is that it provides force feedback when playing driving games, full 270 degree wheel rotation, pressure sensitive pedals, and a pedal plate with clutch step. There is a connector under the base to add a clutch stick add on, but it is not included in this unit. Additionally, this wheel works on both Xbox and PC!

    --- PERFORMANCE ---

Having this peripheral for Xbox is a dream come true. Arguably, the best racing games are on Xbox and with Xbox Game Pass, you have a lot of variety to choose from to enjoy your steering wheel. I tested this wheel with the following games: Xbox 1: Forza Horizon 4, Formula 1 2019, Dirt 2.0, Dirt 4. Xbox 360: Split/Second.

At first, the wheel didn’t work with Forza, but then I realized that was because I had the game opened before I finished plugging everything in. A quick closing and reopening of the game made the wheel work, and I haven’t had an issue since. The wheel automatically aligns itself, so be careful not to put your hand through the openings of the wheel. After it aligns, you can begin driving. It is possible to fully control all menus with the steering wheel itself. The peripheral feels solidly built, sturdy, and won’t get loose when properly installed.

    --- EXPECTATIONS ---

I have tried various wheels in the past and was always disappointed. This wheel is different. The wheel gives you force feedback. What this means is that, if you lose control in the game, the wheel will turn the way you’d expect it to turn in real life and go against where you want it to go. Most of the games I tried have a viewing mode where you can see virtual hands on a steering wheel and they sync very well with your real hands. Again, another viewing mode removes the virtual steering wheel and just allows you to see the dashboard and that feels like a more realistic approach to race gaming.

In all games, there is a learning curve. The steering will feel natural if you’ve ever driven a real vehicle. My non-gaming wife was able to drive across the country roads in Forza Horizon and was just enjoying the views. However, since the pedals are pressure sensitive, you need to get used to how much to step on the break and not just slam it. The brake pedals provide a nice pushback against your foot and the gas pedal does feel like a real pedal. I played with the pedals on a carpet, so it didn’t move much when I was stepping on it. I imagine that you might want to place it over a non slip mat if you plan on using it in a non-carpeted area. When using the wheel in racing, I initially placed lower than I was used to. The more races I played, however, the higher I began moving up in rank. All races, even if I lost, were more fun to experience in this manner.

I was pleasantly surprised that the wheel worked with backwards compatibility games on Xbox One X. I tried Split/Second, an arcade-y racing game from Disney Interactive. It is surprisingly just as fun playing arcade style racing games compared to simulation racing. The only caveat is that between cutscenes, the wheel would rumble like crazy. Since it’s not necessarily intended for older gen games, that’s not something to drop the rating for.

    --- VALUE ---

This is a great racing wheel and the price of the unit is a great investment when purchasing it on the Xbox because Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has already publicly stated that all Xbox One X peripherals will be forward compatible. That means that when the Xbox Series X or S come out, you are already set to future racing games, extending the value of your purchase.

    --- APPROVAL ---

For racing enthusiasts, this is what you want to be playing with. Since it works on Xbox and PC, both of which have Game Pass on them, you will have a variety of racing games to choose from and endless hours of fun.

When the Logitech G923 first arrived I was amazed how much smaller the box was. I was a little concerned in fact but after opening it all up everything was there and it was just packed tighter. Setting it up was easy, comparatively to actually setting up the racing stand anyways. I had it all mounted and ready to go in about 20 minutes. Note that the USB cable is fairly long, about 6 feet I think, but I had to get an extender because it was too tight of a stretch for me so may want to consider picking one of those up if you're not right by your PC. I installed the G Hub software from Logitech and the wheel was recognized after a fast reboot.

Getting it up and running with Grid on the PC was a breeze, I had to do absolutely nothing other than go into the game and start racing. Same for Forza Horizon 4 on the PC. However Forza Motosport 7 wouldn't, and still does not, recognize the wheel. Other than that though other games like Wreckfest did recognize it without issue. Assetto Corsa Competizione recognized everything except the acceleration but one quick button assignment fixed that. The force feedback Trueforce style is really pretty amazing in Grid (one of the few games that work with it right now) and is definitely one step closer to feeling you are truly controlling a car. Otherwise the force feedback in regular games is really good and strong on the PC.

Moving over to the Xbox One again Grid recognized the wheel right away but several of us using it had problems with oversteer and had to mess around with the settings to get it more manageable. We all agreed the control was better on the PC. Playing Forza Horizons 4 on the Xbox One was ok but again Forza Motorsport 7 didn't like the wheel. There seems to be something about that game that doesn't like the wheel. I even tried other wheels that are similiar such as G920 and G29 to no avail. I'm not going to worry about it too much as a new Forza Motorsport game is coming soon anyways but be aware. I will say others have gotten it working so not sure why it won't work for me.

The actual wheel and pedals are very high quality, the wheel feels like a real racing wheel and like I said the force feedback is strong and precise. The pedals are a really good, strong base. I cannot say how they work on carpet as mine are mounted on a racing stand (which I would highly recommend).

All in all, my foster child and all of my friends couldn't get enough of playing with this wheel. I do wish we had a shifter we could buy for it but it's not out yet (and the G920 shifter does NOT work per an email from Logitech..) I had to practically tear them away from the wheel so that I could race and I think that says it all. I know a lot of folks have strong opinions on wheels for their system but I waste no time here in saying this wheel is amazing and I'd highly recommend it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND A+ !!!!!!!

    TrueForce is realistic

Logitech is no doubt is the leading name in making gaming accessories such as racing wheels and force shifter. This model looks identical to the G920 model but the feedback system which is called "TrueForce" is significantly improved over the older model. What does that mean is every move or noise coming out of the games during racing you would feel in the vibration that TrueForce feedback generates. It is realistic as I play Horizon and I feel in real racing as I'm fully engaged in every noise/ behavior the engine makes such as pushing gas pedal or hit the brake. Quality speaking, the wheel is well-built and made of nice stitched leather. This accessory works perfectly and provides a real and fun racing experience.

Pros: Easy setup, premium quality, controls on wheels are handy, feedback is responsive, sensitivity is customizable vis G HUB program which is a good addition to have.

    Cons: None

Thrustmaster - T-Flight Hotas One Joystick for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC

T.Flight Hotas One, a joystick for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, provides a high level of realism: the stick includes five axes, fourteen action buttons, a rapid-fire trigger and a multidirectional hat switch (navigation/panoramic view), all of which are easily accessible. The throttle - detachable and full-size for easy maneuverability, even in virtual reality - provides super-responsive power. The dual rudder system can be engaged by rotating the handle (with an integrated locking system) or via the progressive tilting lever. The T.Flight Hotas One includes official buttons for the Xbox One console (Guide/View/Menu): access social features, switch between the game and the console, navigate through the console's menus, etc.

    Pleasantly surprised!!!

Bought this without knowing what to expect, since I have never owned one of these.

Tested this product on my Xbox Series X with Star Wars squadrons, Ace Combat 7 and lastly with flight simulator and I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. Now, that I am playing flight simulator I would like to get the pedals too and compare how the experience improves. If you have the money to get this I would definitely consider it

    Great buy

Very well made. I’ve been playing Star Wars Squadrons with these joysticks and it is so much more fun. Agreed that Velcro helps keep them mounted, however, I found that I didn’t have an issue with any slippage when I played before I put it on (only reason I put it on was to mount them to a lap desk so I could play from the couch)

    10/10 would buy again.

Without totally breaking the bank, the TMSTR T-FLIGHT HOTAS ONE (Hands On Throttle And Stick) creates a very immersive experience. I primarily purchased it for “Star Wars Squadron” on the PC and have thoroughly enjoyed using it. I’ve never really got the hang of console controllers on the PC, and mouse and keyboards for games like this take too much muscle memory for every obscure function. The TMSTR T-FLIGHT HOTAS ONE just feels right for these kinds of games. I was glad to see it also works on the XBOX which I’ve not tried yet, but plan to soon. Updating the Firmware is difficult, but a must, and you must install the software BEFORE YOU PLUG IN THE CONTROLLER. The previous THRUSTMASTER sticks I have purchased in the 1990’s were junk and broke quickly (which kept me from buying this brand for the past 25 years), but I felt more comfortable after reading the reviews that this investment would last for a while.

    - Stick and Throttle can be combined or detached

    - Good Seeming Build Quality

    - All Buttons are clearly labeled making setup easier on games

    - Long enough (for me) connector to the PC USB port

    - Manually Adjustable Resistance (on the stick)

    - Included Allen Wrench for combining Stick and Throttle (under stick)

PAY ATTENTION TO THE DIRECTIONS, which tell you to load the software drivers first, and then when instructed connect the stick to the computer. Of course, I did not and it took me about 2 hours to dig the drivers out and start over again. I had a real hard time getting the firmware to install (maybe because of not installing the drivers correctly). I found the firmware update tool would not see the TMSTR T-FLIGHT HOTAS ONE unless I unplugged and re-plugged it in while it was searching. It took a few times repeating (plug / unplug) before the firmware installed fully.

I was not expecting to have to “map” most of the buttons manually on Squadrons, but there are plenty of hints you can search out online. I could not understand why my ship would not accelerate, then I realized I had to do the mappings. Once I got the buttons mapped and printed out a map, I was blasting rebels with ease.

I call the TMSTR T-FLIGHT HOTAS ONE a starter stick, but that is not a knock. You won’t find flashing lights, or vibration feedback or automatic resistance as on some higher end sticks. But it also not $300 either. It has a good weight but is plastic not metal. There are no clamps, so it could more on a slippery desk. None of these things detract from what it is. The TMSTR T-FLIGHT HOTAS ONE is a good basic, but advanced enough stick for casual use. It does not pretend to be any more than what it is.

I would recommend the TMSTR T-FLIGHT HOTAS ONE for anyone just getting started with this type of controller, or for anyone who does not want to spend an arm and a leg on something more advanced (and more complicated to operate). I think youth and adults will be equally happy with the overall experience this stick provides.

Its an awesome Joystick controller .

I got this hotas joystick specifically to play Star Wars Squadrons on Xbox One. The game is great and works well with the game pad but for the best experience you need a joystick. I liked that it would work with a pc as well. On all counts it works great, especially with Squadrons. It takes getting used to just because it has a lot of buttons and you have to get used to the configuration. The buttons are mapped somewhat like the default settings on an Xbox game pad, but not all. But it is all customizable. And it feels great! One feature that I wasn't expecting is a switch that changes from Xbox to PC mode. I switched it over and plugged in to my HP and it was recognized and set up without any more steps. The one issue I have with it, is that it does have limited uses. I wondered if it may be usable with other games such as fps but it isn't even recognized as a controller. I took one star out just for the limited uses. But, man! Totally worth it for flight sims and arcade dogfights.

    Great piece of flight equipment.

Well constructed. Nicely weighted, but some may find the need to use Velcro to secure the bases to some surfaces. Very nice and user friendly features; stick tension adjustments, dual rudder use with a stick rudder lock, etc. Fits a nice size keyboard between the throttle and stick when extended, but the separation is juuuuust a tad too short to fit a Logitech G910 Orion Spectrum keyboard. That’s fine, though, it’s a massive one. I have spares that I can use. The buttons on this thing are nice and tactile, and most of them have a hard, audible click. A few of them have soft presses, like the Y button (which is meant to be pressed with the heel of your thumb, so makes sense to be soft for comfort), and the ‘previous/next’ buttons on the throttle base. I use this thing with Elite Dangerous on Xbox One mainly, and I’m having a hard time finding anything negative about it. There were some issues with the first gen/batch of these, but they seem to have been fixed from all accounts I’ve heard. You can tell if you get a first gen by the plastic it’s made from; its slick and shiny, and the throttle falls forward on its own quite easily. These first gen sets usually end up having a slight leftward yaw drift or some other small issues, from the experiences of others I know that use these. Second gens are made from a slightly textured, more rigid plastic, and the throttle stays where it’s put when you let it go. I have pretty big hands, guitar/piano hands, and this setup is very very comfortable under the palms. All in all, I love it. It’s an absolute game changer for anything it’s compatible with.

    OK Flight Stick

I purchased the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas One Joystick so that I could play Microsoft Flight Simulator on the Xbox. It is an OK flight stick and has some issues with the throttle not wanting to stay in position if you are not at 50% power for it. I want to eventually get the foot pedals with it because the twist for the rudder is very finicky when trying to turn. In future versions of the flight stick I would recommend either a Bluetooth connection or a longer cord because you cannot use it unless you are very close to the Xbox.

The only reason i got this was for elite dangerous. It works great with it.

I know this is not compatible with some games but thats where you have to do your own research. Alot of people buy it and expect to work with all. Do your reseach before buying.

Worth buying yes but depends on what game you want it for and compatibility.

    Do not buy for PC

I tried to like it, I really did. It was the last one in the store. The base is sturdy but it feels really really cheaply made and cumbersome, unless you have giant hands like Braun Stroman. I attached this to my pc because I don't have a ps4. I really do hate it, it took me an hour just to get firmware right. At 70 dollars, avoid. I'm returning it tomorrow.

    Great performance, as expected!

I have the Playstation 3 version of this same controller. As much as I had wished for a way to make that one work for my Playstation 4, there was no way, (unless you know how to decipher all of the videos of people that claim they did.) I love flight simulation games of all descriptions; Atmospheric or space versions. Fixed, rotary or futuristic space drive systems. While I am comfortable with the Playstation controllers, they're not the greatest for flying games.

After I purchased Elite Dangerous, it became very apparent that I was in need of a better flight control device than the standard controller. (Too many "fines" for excessive time in the space dock entrance, while exiting the stations.) After finding a major sale reduction on the Thrustmaster HOTAS 4, for the Playstation 4, I knew it was time for me to break down and buy this! I have no regrets whatsoever! (And I've yet to get anymore space dock fines on Elite Dangerous!)

Based on my experience with the Playstation 3 HOTAS, I knew the quality of the Thrustmasters devices and had no fear that this one would perform any less, or be of any lower quality. Connection to the system was flawless. It was immediately recognized by the Playstation 4, and capable of being used for the home screen navigation.

In game, the controls performed without a hitch. In fact, because of the button layout on the flight stick and throttle, (which can separate, via an Allen wrench and four screws on the bottom,) I was able to easily utilize in game controls that were extremely difficult on the standard Playstation controller. Each button on the standard controller is represented on either the flight stick or the throttle. The flight stick itself is capable of a "twist" feature, that will allow rudder control on an aircraft. If that isn't to your liking, there is a rocker lever on the front of the throttle grip that will function as a rudder control as well.

I haven't tried any other games, other than Elite Dangerous, but I feel quite confident that it's performance will more than exceed my needs. A very good purchase for anyone that fancies themselves a flight sim fan.

It's for more than just Play Station

I initially bought this joystick only because my favorite one was not in stock and having driven 60 miles just to buy one I was reluctant to go home empty handed. (incidentally my favorite one was in stock when I left home but that's another story.) I have to admit that the Thrustmaster - T.Flight Hotas 4 Joystick is a much better joystick than my original. I fly the FSX flight sim and this stick works fantastic. BUT do read the instructions before you go charging off hooking it up. In order to function beyond Play Station you have to download the drivers which are called out in the instructions. It was very easy to do. This joystick can be split into two separate parts which is how I use it. The Thrustmaster is twice as expensive as my original joystick but the quality is much better. I wore out two of the other ones and I'm not a "ham fisted" flyer who bangs the stick from side to side. I think the Thrustmaster is definitely going to outlast my former favorite joystick.

    Was impressed with quality!

Let me start off by saying. If you are like me and maybe playing with a controller and aren't doing bad but think just maybe if you got one of these you are magically going to be a lot better pilot.. It didn't work out that way for me lol.

I was doing decent with my xbox controller. Got one one of these and... I was all over the place.. It did not feel natural. I could fly relatedly smooth on a controller but was all over the place with this stick. Maybe I would be better off with a Yoke setup.. Maybe I just prefer my controller and keyboard.

Aside from that I was actually surprised by build quality the plastic feels hefty. Also very comfy to grip. The part connecting the stick to the base looked cheap. Stick movement didn't feel very smooth at all. The throttle moves a little too fast for my liking. I was expecting it to feel more slow when pushing it up and down.. The notch in the middle didnt bother me at all.

    Thrustmaster is still the best.

This joystick is great for both the PC and the PS4. I was able to use it without any difficulty. It is responsive and mapping the buttons on the joystick and the throttle was very easy. I have used Thrustmaster joysticks before and am not astounded by the quality and performance of their products. I can see why Thrustmaster is the standard for this type of product and has been for years. Other companies cannot compete with them.

Makes your PC to a Video game

    I highly recommend this.

I use this controller in game clients: steam, epic, Uplay, origin, Roblox, and Xbox.

Steam game client is like the Amazon of gaming marketplace. You can get all games here.

There are many games in the above clients that is compatible to a controller and this gamepad almost supports all of them.

You don't need to own a Xbox too. All you have to do is download the Xbox app on your windows PC and use this controller just like you play in your Xbox.

If you need a bigger screen, connect your PC to tv then you don't even find a difference whether you are playing on your Xbox or PC.

Also the monthly subscription of Xbox is very cheap on PC When you get almost the same content.

The "back" button on it corresponds to double square button on Xbox controller.

The "start" button on it corresponds to the menu button on Xbox controller.

The bonus button mode comes for customization if needed.

There is also another bonus button in the name of " Logitech" once pressed,. This will relate to Win + G and open your recording screen on your windows.

Finally one more switch button at the reverse. Once again for customization if needed.

300$ Xbox can be achieved with just $15 bucks.

And also you get the same comfortable feeling of playing Nintendo, or the switch using a controller.

    Nothing to lose.

Buy two and you can play split screen games.

    Added "beach buggy" games example.

    Not amazibg, but great value

For around $20 you can't beat it. But a heavy gamer might want to shell out for more expensive, but more comfortable controller.

Quality is pretty good. The DPad and analog sticks feel particularly well built.

But ergonomically everything feels just a little bit off. The analog sticks are just low enough to have to be uncomfortable. Start/select buttons are way too high and hard to reach. Grips are inset really deep under the shoulder buttons. And those shoulder buttons are a bit small and feel farther away than they should.

Great alternative to the Elite Series 1 controller

This will be an in-depth review of the Fusion Pro in comparison to the Elite Series 2. I used the Fusion Pro for about 2 weeks. (I never had the series 1 elite, so I can't compare to that, but I would honestly say that the Fusion Pro competes directly with the Elite s1 and not the s2 in terms of features and customization).

As for the Fusion Pro. I can honestly say that @ $80, you are getting a premium feeling product, as far as 3rd party controllers go.

Right out of the box, you are greeted with this big carrying case. I like the material it is made out of compared to the Elite case. You get a nice weight to the controller. Almost as, if not as heavy as the elite s2.

-The feel and texture of the controller is nice. (feels almost similar to the PowerA Enhanced controller). So if you held any PowerA controller before, then the shape is not very different from that. Nice soft finish in the front and a textured grip on the back, though doesn't feel as grippy as the elite s2.

-The sticks are made of qulality plastic and I wish it came with more swappable sticks. The ones with extra height are not that tall. They do add height for better precision, but if you were expecting to get kontrol freek height, then you will be disappointed. Kontrol freeks somewhat fit. I had plenty of times where the kontrol freeks came off the stick during heated battles in Apex. I guess to fix this problem, the stock xbox one controller sticks do fit on the Fusion pro since they are the same shape and have the same oval shape hole on the bottom (I tried it myself). Swapping the sticks and tension rings are not as easy as the elite controller, but easy enough. Just don't try to do it in minimal lighting.

-Stick tension is tighter than the stock xbox one controller. Feels more like the tension you get on the xbox 360 controller. (if you want to compare it to the elite s2 tension, then it will be like if the s2 was set to the first tension setting). The tension rings do a great job making the sticks feel smooth, just like on the s2.

-D Pad is clicky, but not as clicky as the elite s2, but is responsive.

-Buttons are the same, not as clicky, but responsive as well. Never got stuck.

-Bumpers sat a little higher than the elite s2, but was still comfy during gaming.

-Triggers were responsive and had no problems with it.

-As for the trigger stops, they do work as intended, BUT the setting difference between T1 (full press) and T2 (Half press) is very minimal and can't really tell the difference. I don't really see a use for having half press on any trigger stop. People either want full press or very minimal press. The T3 stop honestly feels like the half press when compared to the elite s2. That was one of the cons I had with this controller. I wish they did a better job of making T1 and T2 feel different and T3 having a very short press like on the elite s2 (where it becomes more like a button than a trigger, that's how minimal it is on the elite).

-The paddles are very clicky and are easy to press and work as intended. They are pretty long especially the bottom paddles (from the pics, the bottom paddles are visible in comparison to the elite s2. I think the placement of the paddles compares more to the elite s1, just because of their lengnth. Accidental presses with the top two paddles will be rare or will not happen at all, but my experience with the two bottom paddles, accidental presses will happen.

I'm what you call a "gripper" when holding the controller (using my ring and pinky fingers to hold the controller). So when I had the bottom paddles on, I couldn't hold the controller like I wanted, so I only played with two paddles. Mapping them to any button is easy and can be done while in-game which is nice. You cannot use the xbox controller app to remap/unmap the buttons and paddles. Another con, I wish PowerA sold the mappable pro pack seperately on their site. So in case you need extra paddles or need a replacement pro pack, you can just buy that seperately. On a side note, to combat the problem of long bottom paddles, I would have bought an extra pro pack and used the top paddles as bottom paddles. That way I can hold the controller comfortably w/o having accidental presses.

-Removing and putting paddles back on was not hard, but not as easy as one would like. If you can see on picture 6 (where the paddles are off the pro pack), the pro pack has white markings where you would put the paddles back. Since the pro pack is plastic and the paddles are metal, the repeated on and off of the paddles will bend the plastic surrounding the holes. So be careful when putting them back on.

-The included USB cable (mirco usb, wish they went with type-c), has a locking mechanism when plugged into the controller. I found it very hard to remove once in there. Had to really squeeze the side release buttons to get it off. This could either be a good thing or a bad thing, depends on how you see it. I always unplugged my controller after use, so the difficulty of removing the USB cable was a con for me. I just used the USB cable that came with my old PowerA Enhanced controller.

-3.5mm headphone jack gave me no problems after I updated the firmware. Volume was loud coming out of my headset, mic was clear to others.

To me, was the PowerA Fusion Pro worth $80? I would say yes IF I didn't have my modded xbox controller. What I mean modded is that I had the Collective Minds Mod pack (which made my controller wired and gave me 2 paddles in the back), and 3rd party trigger stops (which was mediocre @ best). Since I only used two paddles on the Fusion Pro, I felt like I already had the same features I was using in my modded xbox controller except the Fusion Pro had better build quality, tension rings, and somewhat better trigger stops. I did end up returning the Fusion Pro and kept my Elite s2.

Now for others who are just coming from a stock xbox controller, I say YES, the Fusion Pro is worth the $80 if you don't want to shell out $100+ for the elite s1 (that's probably out of warranty and is used). I don't want to say Elite s2 because like I said before, IMO the Fusion Pro competes more with the Elite s1 in terms of features and design.

    Good Quality

Bought this controller after I returned the 4th xbox contorller. Wanted to see if this one last me more than a month or two. The quality is good it's heavy as the elite controller the joy sticks are the same if not a tad stiffer than the oem xbox controller. We'll see after a few weeks or months. Programming the back triggers are fast and easy you can do it on the fly takes less than 5 seconds each button to map. A lot of people might not like it since its wired but I prefer wired over wireless.

    Works perfect!

I wanted to upgrade from my basic xbox controller w/ rechargeable batteries, so after doing research between PowerA Fusion pro vs elite series 2, I decided to go with PowerA. The most important reason why i chose this, is b/c its half the cost! The second reasoning is I don't have to worry about battery life anymore! PowerA practically has the same functionality with the elite series 2 but with some minor differences. If you're currently trying to decide between the two which is best for you, search on youtube. There are plenty of reviews in comparing the two together. For me, I didn't care for the wireless feature since I play and sit in front of my 24in gaming monitor. So being wired and not worrying about swapping or charging battery, it made more sense to have this instead. I no longer have to worry about battery dying during game play.

For gaming I primarily play COD Modern Warfare, this is my first time having a controller with paddles so it takes time to getting use. Instead of using all 4 paddles, I'm currently only using the 2 smaller paddles. And the reason why, the bigger paddles get in my way while holding the controller naturally due to having adult size hands (might be comfortable for younger kids). I've only had it for about a week and I'm still adjusting to muscle memory to use those paddles. I must say though, using the two smaller paddles made it super convenient during gaming. The other controller features that I do appreciate is swappable thumbsticks and the 3-way trigger lock adjustment for L/R triggers. It helped provide a more accurate aiming and faster response press to shoot my enemies down.

The only CON I have about having this white controller (even though its nicer looking IMO compared to black one) is that that joystick thumb started to change to a bronze color, probably due to the natural oils from the fingers. I don't eat finger foods while I play cause thats just filthy and gross hahaha. Aside from that one CON, everything else about the controller is great and is definitely worth buying over the elite series. I've read many complaints from other gamers who has/had elite controllers so I didn't want to bother with those problems in the furture, along with the expensive price tag!

So if you play in close range of your tv/monitor, I would suggest getting this wired controller. Don't have to consider buying regular/rechargeable batteries (extra expenses) or wait for the controller to charge whenever you want to play.

On side note, my 14 y.o nephew has the elite series 2 and their were times he couldn't play b/c his battery died and had to wait to charge a bit. Now he's having some other issues with it. Hearing his complaint about the controller and what I've heard from other users is what also made me decide to go with PowerA controller!

Great value and does the job

Not as smooth and precise as others with more advanced and expensive technology but it is quite adequate for non-professional simulators. Buttons are plentiful and well placed and it has a twisting/rudder action. I use a Mac and there is no programming software for Mac but the joystick is very easy to program within game controller settings. I tried 2 other "better" joysticks which better action but was unable to program them as well as this one.

I read many reviews on joysticks and throttle combos. Unless you want to spend $150 this is the best option. This will do it all but the throttle is in an awkward location. I prefer using my keyboard instead. It's a . It's a good design and that's why it's been around for decades. For the price you're paying there really isn't anything to complain about.

    Intuitive & one-hand operation.

Maybe cause I'm old, but this joystick is so much more intuitive for shooting games like Doom or C.O.D. Much more comfortable to use than the ubiquitous 2-handed controllers. Less painful to use for extended periods-especially w/ arthritis.

    Great joystick for the price

I have always had good luck with Logitech and Best Buy only has 1 joystick to choose from. But they picked a good one. I started playing Elite: Dangerous and wanted a HOTAS setup again but wasn't going to order a Saitek X52 or X55. I had 1 before and I would lose button use month after month until it died. The throttle on the Logitech is ok but I wanted a better throttle in my left hand with buttons so I bought a second 1 and turned it into a throttle and reverse, strafe, and straight up/down with some extra buttons and it feels pretty good and at a great price. I'm just trying to figure out if I'm going to mount them to a board and set it on my lap or modify my chair to hold them on the armrests. I'm including a picture of them temporarily clamped to a 1x10 board.

    Stopped Connecting to Switch

This never worked consistently for me and my Switch. I had to power cycle my Switch over and over.. go through the 8Bitdo setup process again and again and again and again in the hopes that it would connect my gamepads to the Switch. It normally took about 10 minutes of work every single time I wanted to play.

I installed the 8Bitdo firmware version 1.32 and now it's stopped working.

    8Bitdo customer service is nonresistant.

This thing is a great idea but the reality is that it's trash.

    Excellent for the Switch!

I ordered 4 of these to connect Dualshock 4 controllers to the switch. I used a non-powered 4 hub USB switch; try to get one that has the USB slots aligned vertically and not horizontally, because these 8bitdo adapters are so wide that you may only be able to fit two of these on a 4 slot switch that has the horizontal configuration. Anyways, pair one at a time, and you should have no problem. There is no noticeable input lag from what I can tell. Overall, this is truly a fantastic product, especially if you already have some spare controllers, and don't want to fork out $70-$80 for an official Switch controller.

Nice to use a cord on the computer!

I bought this to use my Xbox one controller on my pc desktop that doesn’t have Bluetooth. I was aggravated at first because I could get it to pair to my controller but wouldn’t work to any of my games. With some research I found that it needed a firmware update. Once I went to 8BitDo’s website under support I found the most recent updated firmware and installed it. Works great after doing this. It it would have worked perfectly out of the box I would have given it 5 stars but with a firmware update it does work great.

Steel series is always a winner

I love this controller. I have been looking at different controllers for awhile to take a break from mouse and keyboard for a little bit. This is like the best of both worlds between a ps controller and an Xbox controller. It’s not too big or too small and I would say I have medium sized hands.

I have not had any input lag or sticky keys or any issues like those. I like that it’s wireless or Bluetooth in case I want to connect it either way.

The only gripe I have with it is that there is a ridge for design right along the body where the 4 buttons on the right and the directional pad on the left are located. It’s not an issue for me on the directional pad, but on the button side sometimes if I want to use the pad of my thumb to hit the button instead of the tip, that ridge gets in the way. That being said, it has not affected my gameplay at all.

    Would buy again.

    Better than expected.

This controller isn't as bulky as I expected it to be, It's fits in my fairly large hands well without being too large, and without being too small, the controller has a good feel to it for the games I've played using it (gta, tekken, for honor) Ultimately a much more pleasant experience switching from using a ps4 controller to this.

The only issue I've had so far is a somewhat limited range of light motion on the thumb sticks, you can't make SUPER precise maneuvers, but you really cant with most controllers anyways.

The wheel takes some setting up, but it’s pretty good for an entry level wheel. I use it for Gran Turismo 5 and 6, and it works perfectly, you just need to follow the instructions inside the booklet to set it up. It’s kind of confusing at first though.

Best Buy shipped the wheel with no outside box or packaging, and just shipped the wheel’s box with a shipping label on it. Luckily it worked, but Best Buy needs to fix their shipping.

    Great wheel for the Money

For the dollar this Thrustmaster racing wheel and pedals are a great deal. I like racing games but dont spend enough time doing them to justify the big dollars for the deluxe wheels. This is only slightly more than a good controller and is so much better when racing. I had no problem getting it to work with my F1 game, Dirt Rally or Asphalt 9. The trick is to make sure you install the driver from the Thrustmaster web site before you plug it in. If you do that it works great. Getting it to work with Forza Horizon 4 was a little tougher, you have to follow the same process but then once the game loads you need to select the custom wheel set up and once you do that it works. There are videos on Youtube that show all this which helps. The downsides that I experienced are that the wheel has to be mounted to a table and that can be difficult if you table has any type of framing directly below the edge which most tables have. I wish they made a base that allowed you to just set this on top of the table instead. The pedals work great but they tend to tip over so you need to keep one foot on the base while the other foot moves the pedals or you need to mount the pedals to something. Both of these issues are minor but something to consider. Kudos to Bestbuy for keeping the price set vs many other places that drastically increased the price due to Covid.

    Good wheel for the price.

Overall this is a pretty solid wheel and pedals for the price. My one big gripe with it is that the pedals do feel a little cheap and are very light. However, they have two holes near the front of the pedals on the underside that you can run a couple bolts through to keep it from moving. So with a little work I managed to rig up a thin sheet of plywood to mount the pedals to that works perfect. The steering on the wheel seems pretty responsive and the buttons all work great. For the price this is a great wheel, especially for beginners like my 4 year old but for someone thats looking for a little more realistic gameplay you may want to spend a little more.

    Good for casual gamers

This is a basic racing wheels that would work well for most users. The only thing I did not like about it was that the base is light and you would have to find a way to anchor it. Otherwise it would move under your feet, which is no good.

This thing was a nightmare from the get go, downloaded the software that was required and the display wouldn't work, so I decided to Google some problem solving solutions and there was more videos on how to fix all the things that were wrong with this product, anywhere from how to repair the spring in the joystick and how to bypass the issues with the software, so I tried using some of the downloads that were recommended and almost ended up with a few viruses, the only way I was able to get the display to come on was by rebooting my pc, but couldn't access anything, the joystick is too tall and flimsy, it was like moving around a microphone stand, there's so much movement between axis, if you're looking for a real feel for simulation this is not the one to go with, I don't know how it got any good reviews, but then again I don't know what people are using it for, so to each's own, I was glad to pack mine up and take it back.

over 10 years, still going strong

Got the Saitek X52 as a gift well over 10 years ago, it has worked just fine the whole time. This is with rough use, in and out of boxes, moving several times, left in a garage for a while. There are certainly higher end higher build quality HOTAS out there, but this one has worked just fine for some time. Lots of good youtube reviews out there.

I hate writing reviews, especially bad ones, but I was excited to get this and when I plugged it in there was only power to maybe 1/3 of it. It only has one USB cable for both items which are connected only to each other through a ps/2 line. I tried multiple troubleshooting methods including a powered USB hub all to no avail. The support regarding this item is pretty lackluster as well. The best part about it was that I live 3 miles away from a Best Buy to take it back quickly. Highly disappointing as it looks great and has all the features I want/need but wasn’t even able to use it.

Great for anything except xbox joysticks

Just put this on my xtrify m4 mouse as well as my xbox series x controller. Amazing grips that i love for both. The joystick grips are coming off though so i wouldnt recommended for that but for the buttons triggers, or anything else i really like them

    Excellent ease of use.

It has very good grip. The cutouts are perfect Controller, mouse and keyboard. Downside its not super sticky so depending how hot or how much u press a certain button is might come off (I'm speaking for people putting them on controllers, not sure how they are on m&k). Overall I think it's worth the price.

It's kinda hard to find useful, as the tape itself is kinda small. Its hard to put onto the mice, and it doesnt help that much. If your looking to drag click with tape, this isnt your best choice. Electric tape would be better.
