    Good sequel

This game is absolutely AMAZING. One of the most addicting and fun games to play. It is so creative and you can do loads of cool stuff. A little expensive for the DLCs and the main games, but TOTALLY worth it. Well over 50 dinosaurs, some really cool looks. So many options on what to do with your park. It is practically perfect and I can’t stop playing. It is challenging too, and you can edit your very own park however you like. You can have multiple different islands with different cool buildings. NOTICE: My dream to make this game perfect would be to add the ARGENTINASAURUS. I am half Argentinian and it is my mums home country. Loads of my family live there and I love my country so much and it would mean the world to me to add it. Thanks, PERFECT game,

    Support Indie Games!

With the help of next gen hardware, Hades has never looked better! 4k 60 fps makes a huge difference and I’m able to spot out new details I never could on Switch. The higher frame rate improves the quality of the game so much, and I don’t think I can ever play it on Switch again! It stinks that you can’t move your save data over, but it feels nice and refreshing to start all over and avoid some of the mistakes I made on my first play-through.

I highly recommend you purchase this game, and to support other indie games and developers! These indie developers have some of the brightest minds in the industry, offering a new perspective while not having a big company shooting down their ideas. A big round of applause for the amazing people at Supergiant Games and Private Division for bringing Hades to a brand new level!

    One of the Best!

This game deserves all the awards that it has won, including game of the year on some sites. An absolute blast to play.

Being that this game is a rogue-like, I was hesitant at first to try it. I ended up purchasing it on Switch a few months after release, having been finally persuaded by all the online love for the title.

This game will most likely click with you regardless of your thoughts on the rogue-like genre, and that is due to how perfectly its executed. The runs themselves are fast and short. So even if you have a complete run, you're looking at 35-50 minutes of play time. Therefore failed runs (which you will have a lot of) can be as short as 15 to 20 minutes. This gives you that "one more try" hook before you stop for the day.

On top of the runs themselves being so fun, the RPG elements are equally as addicting. You slowly build up your character after each run, so even if you think you're regressing in your skill on the controller, you'll be hooked by the fact you're permanently leveling up your guy in different ways between runs. Beyond that, this title has surprising longevity. The developers basically want you to have a run count that goes over 100. New systems and item trading mechanics unlock as you tally up more and more attempts.

Lastly I'll note that I did re-buy this on PS5 (you're welcome Supergiant) in addition to the Switch, and it was worth it. Trophy hunting on PS5 adds new variation, and the 4k graphics are a big step up. Also the physical copy comes with a booklet which is a nice touch for collectors.

The game I never planned to buy

I never planned to buy this game. I hate my Nintendo Switch compared to my Ps4 or PC. Then I got a Ps5 and Hades got released for it. I tried to find a review that would make me not get this game.....I couldn't find one. I watched videos and it looked ok. So after having cleared the game 8 times and much more to do (10 clears will give you credits I believe)....I can say that it's a really fun game. I was trying to complete some other games and I keep coming back to this game or wanting to play it. The save points and profression system keep this game from being a chore. In fact, every run will put you just a little more ahead. Give it a try for $30 and I think you'll enjoy it too.

A Must Buy for the PS5

I absolutely love this game. It's a Rogue-like, in that when you die, you lose the boons (power-ups) and the weapon upgrades that you collected. There are systems in place though that allow you to make permanent upgrades, and even a God mode that lets you take less damage. All of this is wrapped up in a wonderful story with amazing characters, music, and voice acting.

    Top shelf.

I have played this non stop and it's all I've played since it's released onto ps5.

If you're into any type of roguelite gameplay and hold in high regard top tier voice acting, story, and mythology then this is an absolute must buy.

If you're familiar with SuperGiant games and enjoy their work then you know this game will not disappoint

Supergiant is a great games studio.

It must be said that I waited to play this game on console. Now that's been said this game is as good as advertised. Right away its look reminded me of "Transistor" a previous "Supergiant" game. After only a few runs of this "rogue-like" I knew this was a great game. I would recommend this game and "Transistor" to my friends and family.

    Ratchet & Clank are back!

It's nice to see Ratchet & Clank return as one of the showcase games of the PS5 game. This story continues where Ratchet & Clank: Imto the Nexus (PS3) left off. With the duo long having retired but forced back into a dimension-hopping adventure by their old foe, Dr. Nefarious.

First, the story lenght is okay. It's could have been longer, because what was there was solid. It left me wanting more. Second, the gameplay is excellent. The weapons feel like they pack a punch. The game utilizing the PS5 controller's fearures really give a sense of "feeling" to the game, whether you are firing a rocket launcher or grinding on the grind rails. Third, the game utilized the PS5's new hardware well. Especially with the loading times between worlds and instantly hoping through dimensions in the levels. These are things that we couldn't do with the old game.

The only thing preventing me from giving it a 5 is, again, the length. Luckily, there is an option for new game+, so I will be taking advantage of that. The story, characters, gameplay and tech on display are great. And I hope it is used as a stepping stone to an even greater adventure in the next Ratchet & Clank.

    A reason to own a PS5

Core gameplay as an action/platform/shooter is the similar to past games, but with the improved graphics, SDD, Duel Sense controller, and wave dash/wall run/hoover boots gameplay mechanics makes it a more immersive experience.

There's also a new playable main character. You play as Ratchet and Rivit with Clank as a companion (also have his own mini-game segments). Both go through parallel worlds with their own story which eventually intersect. Some worlds are character specific. Both Ratchet and Rivit play the same, but with different dialogue/personality. Weapons and upgrades collected do carry over from each character. Clank also have an alternate dimension version named Kit, along with other core characters in the franchise

Story: Clank presents Ratchet with a dimensionator to help him find other Lombaxs. Dr nefarious crashes the party and steals it. Ratchet and Clank gets teleported to a different diamention during the shuffle. They get seperated, Clank meets up with Rivet. They try to find each other as well as go to other planets trying to collect parts to rebuild the dimensionator.

This game is built from the ground up for the PS5 and fully ultilizes the console's SDD and controller.

Load times are practically non-existant. Rift tether ability teleports you through portals to new areas instantaneously and seamlessly making it impossible on PS4 (no SDD)

Haptic feedback is similar to the Astro's Playroom demo. Able to feel HD rumble from environment and weapons used. For example, when you enter the club area you're able to feel the sound vibration when you get closer. For weapons you feel the recoil. Able to feel bolts go into you/controller as you collect them.

Tempest 3D Audio. If you have a compatible 3d headset for your PS5; you're able to hear things off to the distance which helps in battle, and for immersion. Going back to the club example, sounds gets louder as you get closer/able to hear from afar when searching for it. Can hear ships flying off in the distance. You're able to hear where enemies are coming from when they say their voice quips/battle crys. Soundtrack for the game is really good.

Adaptive triggers. Able to half press to aim and fire weapon. Weapons fire differently by pressing half way to conserve ammo, or full press for alternate fire . Most likely you're going to full press majority of the time unless you're playing on hardest difficulty. Sometimes you may whiff the trigger button when caught in a moment.

Combat is very fluid. Linking weapon effects and jumping/dashing around arena can be very exhilarating once you build up your arsenal. Makes past games feel really slow in comparison and will be hard to go back.

Grind rail segments feel like roller coaster rides at times, especially with a lot of things going on in the background

20 guns in the game. Some unlock 2nd playthrough. Guns do level up the more you use them. Higher the level the more perk upgrade unlocks. Max level 5 first playthough, 10 second. This encourages you to use variety of weapons and not stick to one if you want to upgrade all weapons to the max, and when out of ammo.

Armor can be color customizable, mixed and match sets. Some have their own stat attributes once equipped

Graphics are amazing, as mentioned before, a lot of things happening in the background. Most beautiful looking games I've seen on consoles especially with the reflections from ray tracing in fidelity mode. Game doesn't stutter with a lot of enemies on screen.

    3 different graphics modes:

Performance RT (Ray tracing): 60fps raytracing. lower res lighting, vfx, and screen density

Performance: 60fps. no ray tracing. better graphics

Fidelity: 30fps. Ray Tracing. Higher res lighting, vfx and screen density.

Accessibility options are really good. Similar to Last of Us 2.

If you get physical; able to upgrade to digital deluxe edition for $10 on the save file select screen.

Excellent and fun game. Showcases what the PS5 can do. A must buy

Excellent game! Just wish we would have better graphics as it still looks like last years game but maybe by the next game as this is right after EA took over Codemasters. I did like the new story mode in career though...really enjoyed that new part of it but after that, it's just like Madden, same old game. All in all...great game!

Great themes, great battle system, great game

A grand adventure that explores the themes of colonization, living under an authoritarian state, prejudice and overcoming such things with a very fun (and not completely unchallenging) battle system. The characters are pretty fleshed out even if the story does feel to start off too quickly. An amazing addition to any JRPG lover's collection

    Awesome!

I own the PS4 version but still wanted a hard copy of the PS5 version because I’m a collector. This game is worth buying again plus you get the Yuffie DLC. The graphics are amazing and loved playing as Yuffie. I’m so ready for the PS5 generation can’t wait to see what’s to come!

Nice improvements from the PS4 version

Great reimagining of the original game. Don't go in thinking you're playing an exact replica of the original. Most of the same beats are there, but a lot of other stuff is mixed in. The PS5 better looks better than the PS4, but kind of what you would expect with better hardware. They tweaked some things between the PS4 version and this one and makes it a better game. The DLC with Yuffie is also really fun, but wise was a bit longer, or better yet a full game.

    Must have

This game is a must have for any final fantasy fan. The game is a great addition to the ps5. The graphics from the ps4 version to this look amazing. I greatly enjoy the addition to to the extra content this game offers. Purchased game on sale. Since this isn’t a deluxe or special edition I wouldn’t pay full price for this version.

Masterpiece of a Remake. Must Have.

This game is a masterpiece and this remake is a thing of beauty. As a guy who played Final Fantasy 1 on the original NES and every game after, this is really a work of art and I am loving every moment.

Very happy to have this in my possession. Wish it was less than $70. Price could be better but still, had to have it.

100% buy if you don't own the original

Great game, great upgrade too! Of course if you own 7R on PS4 Id recommend just getting the Yuffie episode digitally for way cheaper. For newcomers I can't think of a better place to start off with this masterpiece.

    Hallmark of a remake!

As far as remakes go...this should be the hallmark you want to meet when doing it. I really enjoy this game and the ability to have multiple styles of play (including the old school menu system RPG gameplay of the 90's). Great game! Great remake! Great quality!

His defense lawyer, Saori Shirosaki, has no doubt that crucial details of the situation have been overlooked, as Ehara was not even tried for the murder. She contacts detective Takayuki Yagami to investigate this further. How could Ehara have committed two crimes at once? Was the sexual battery just a cover up? A solid Sequel in a Strong Series

I imagine this game would primarily appeal to people who played Judgment or who are already fans of the Yakuza series. If you fall into one of those categories, you have a good idea of what to expect, and Lost Judgment will not disappoint. This game improves on Judgment, and is more of what fans of the series will love. Takuya Kimura reprises his role as Takayuki Yagami with all of the same charisma and charm as the first game, so this is an easy recommendation to any fan.

A Strong Sequel That Adds A Lot!

A fantastic sequel to a great game series. While a bit more serious in overall tone then the mainline Yakuza game series (of which this game is a spiritual spinoff set in the same game universe), uses the same game engine and keeps/adds many fun mini games and side missions to keep you entertained for dozens of Hours. A definite must play for any fan of the Yakuza game series & Ryu Ga Gatoku Studio games.

This game is a great sequel so if you liked the first one, you’ll more than likely like this one too. If you are a Yakuza fan then you can expect similar combat, story telling, and plenty of side quests. The graphics have improved especially on the next gen systems.

Great Game - Fun Physical Bonus Items

Excellent game with a terrific soundtrack! It’s every bit as funny as the MCU movies and thw gameplay is perfect in my opinion. It plays alot like a God of War game in that the story itself is very linear with only minor exploration available. Tons of cosmetic costumes to discover and a variety of upgrades make it a consistantly fun experience. The banter between the characters is hilarious and is non-stop. Such fun writing! Stop reading, and go pick it up!

Square Enix did right this time

Cool, quirky, fun, original, the list goes on and on the combat is so unique in which they make who you control (star lord) a little underpowered to accentuate the importance of team combat. You play the role of leader and this combat system is a perfect combination of tactile and action. Just perfect. Only complaint is the banter between characters very obviously has cussing in it and they cover it up with silly words in place and it seems to take away from the experience a lil bit. As for the deluxe edition is concerned the box is unlike any other I have in my collection and it has to be one of the most beautiful steel books I own!

    Amazing Game and Story!

This game is extremely fun! The graphics look amazing, the gameplay is simple but really fun, the story and music is as memorable as the films, and there are no micro transaction! All of the alternative costumes are found in game and unlocked. I’m a little glad the game isn’t an open world and is linear because it allows for a tighter focus on the story and character developments. I can’t wait to see where the story goes in a sequel. The collectors art book included in this edition is great. I love these types of additions.

Believe the hype! This is a very fun game!

This game has been such a pleasant surprise! I felt like I was taking a huge gamble after Avengers fell pretty flat, but this has really made up for it in my eyes. The scenery is beautiful, the banter is hilarious, and the story is engaging. The movement and combat mechanics took a bit of getting used to, and every now and then I'll glitch out and require a checkpoint reload. But overall this game is a blast and has replay value, the steelbook case is really well done too!

Great Characters with a Charming Story

Guardians of the Galaxy is a game that rests upon its main cast of characters which thankfully do not try to capture the magic of the MCU cast, but rather create a unique spin on the Guardians that creates a compelling camaraderie. The action gameplay is not revolutionary, it is rather simple but fun enough due to the various options presented to you; ultimately this is a game that truly is fun due to the relationship between the characters.

What a great game. It's literally like playing through an unreleased Guardians of the Galaxy movie! Dialogues (and lots of it!), humor, voice acting and soundtrack are on point. Gorgeous visuals but linear gameplay and storyline, which is a refreshing break from all the open world games I recently finished (Horizon, Cyberpunk 2077, Immortal Fenyx, Tales of Arise, Xenoblade).

While I do love a good big open world RPG, it’s also nice to have a good quality linear game like this that respects your time. There’s nothing groundbreaking here but the writing is very good, the story is fun, and the characters are great. Overall a very good single player game that can be finished in around 20 hours. Perfect for me.

Sword and board Call of Duty!

I wish my 12 year old self could have experienced this game. I love this game but I feel like my 33 year old jaded self is containing it’s nerdy enthusiasm. Sword and board Call of Duty! It hits every note on playing with wooden swords in the backyard as a kid. This game would be a better experience with a mouse and keyboard or VR but they do utilize the haptic triggers on the controller. Graphics are good, motion is good, running is clunky (your in metal armor bro -_-), game pace is great and keeps action constant. Definitely recommend the purchase, support this game and stop throwing your dollars at Epic Games, Activision, EA and soon Ubisoft. I feel like a boomer with my video game options these days…

I actually waited for a long time for this one to come out. I really enjoyed Chivalry I very much and when I finished it I was wondering if they would come out with Chivalry II. When I saw that it was going to come out on PS5, I preordered it. Well so far it looks really great. The battles look intense and you feel like you are the one battling the enemy. I am not disappointed and I know you won’t be disappointed either because the PS5 takes it to a new limit.

    Not What It Seems

You probably don't really want to read too many reviews, probably shouldn't in fact, at the risk of spoilers. All you need to know is that the game is not at all what it will seem to be at first, but it takes a while to break away from the "anime dating sim" theme. It won't be until the second day (in-game) that there will be even a hint that something different is going on.

That said, I've been playing video games for decades, mostly PC but more recently getting into consoles, and this would make my top 20 all time, maybe even top 10.

So, summarizing, highly recommended. But whatever you do, pay attention to the warnings! Also, the disc version includes some really cool extras, including stickers and stand-up chibis of the main characters, so get the disc version if you have a console. (Their is no disc version for the PC, IIRC.)

    DDLC Plus - PS5 Review

Not going to spoil the game itself for any new players, but will focus on the bonus extras included. The bonus poem from Monika is pretty cool, the sticker sheet is adorable (wish they were a little larger!), the club member card is hard plastic and very well made, the soundtrack download card is in the shape of a floppy disk (but sadly printed on thin paper), and the best bonus is definitely the set of four standees of the four girls. I wish they were a little larger and made of plastic and not chip/cardboard, but it's still nice these were included. This is a pretty great special edition for a very niche visual novel game.

If you laugh, think, and cry, That's a good game

I was skeptical play only as Star-Lord on a game that has multiple members nah corny also made by the same company that made the Avengers slogfest game no thanks. I bit made the purchase I am on game+ mode right now second playthrough lol I'm not having a debate with my wife so yea I was wrong happy! I'm kidding but seriously I was wrong the RPG element of controlling the characters is fluent, decisive, as well as entertaining in real-time movement. The visuals are excellent, the 80's soundtrack amazing, the atmosphere color & design of each scene fits with the mood of the team & the moment they face. I laughed and cheered and finally had a sad reflective moment while playing. Jimmy Valvano made a speech that I always respected; "If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day". This is a heck of a game enjoy

    Galactic saviors from Knowhere…

After the stumbling-bumbling Avengers video game, I really didn’t think we’d ever see anything else Marvel related coming from publisher Square Enix. Yet, surprisingly, here we are, and with Guardians of the Galaxy nonetheless. This game literally seemed to manifest itself before us, like a galactic cruiser emerging through a multi-dimensional space portal. At first, the game wreaked of what came before with the aforementioned Avengers game, but the magical space-dust is in the details. A single player experience that takes players on a story-driven adventure through the early days of the Guardians of the Galaxy, accompanied by action/rpg-inspired gameplay, and a vast variety of fanfare spread across a colorful and creative set of environments. Even more surprising, the game delivers on almost everything promised, and somehow offers up even more in some wonderfully unexpected ways - it’s a strange dynamic at first. The first hour or so, mainly the tutorial stuff, is paced to feel somewhat restricted, but I wouldn’t say it’s any worse than when other games do this - it is something worth mentioning though. Some might enjoy this time to learn the layout of the controls, and the feel of the overall combat dynamics, as most of the gameplay is built around giving your teammates demands via rpg-like trigger controls, while also controlling Star-Lord as a third-person action shooter. All of it comes together rather comfortably on the controller, and allows for some really fun, engaging combat. In action, the gameplay is actually pretty simple, and while the game offers a good amount of variety, I could see some players becoming fatigued, or lulled, by the end of the experience. I personally thought it held up for about 80% of my time it took to complete. However, where the gameplay eventually shows some cracks, the story here is 100% great, pure Guardians of the Galaxy. While this story is meant to be separate from the film, it clearly takes many inspirations - though I prefer this one much more. I felt like the developers took everything and turned the knob to 11, really letting the players flourish in the experience of participating in the story and game. At times, it felt as if the game was seamlessly switching from a video game to a CG movie, and even came together to feel like an interactive film, all while still having its other gameplay elements still in tact. Some moments in the story can carry on a little too long in-between the moments of raw gameplay, but never to the point of being annoying. Overall, this is truly a sleeper hit for me, coming out of nowhere, and then delivering far more than expected. The deep, engaging story blended with fun and exciting combat makes for a lot of dazzle-dazzle, especially with the rad soundtrack. The game does suffer from some moments where the storyline either goes on for a little too long, or the gameplay might lull out, but in the end, the balance of everything carries the fun through to the credits. I’d easily recommend this to anyone that simply enjoys a good, solid game - but if you’re a fan, then there’s even more here to be enjoyed.

    Great, fun narrative game

Strap in for the ride. GOTG is a fun narrative driven game that they executed well. Locking you into one character (Star Lord) could have been terrible, but they pulled it off and made it work in the process. Controlling the other characters with abilities is cool. If I have any complaint, it's that they stand around and aren't much help if you aren't giving them commands but the A.I. isn't the best either. All in all, worth the play time.

    Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

This game is a true masterpiece. I was completely blown away by every part of it. The cast is awesome, the world designs are eye-catching, the combat is a huge improvement over the mediocre Avengers game. The bickering between the characters is absolutely hilarious. Solid 10/10. Definitely recommend!

    Short but enjoyable

While the game might not last as long as you’d like, every moment is enjoyable!! The soundtrack is killer, the gameplay is surprisingly deep and strategic, the character dialogue is fantastic as well!! As for cons, I ran into a few gamebreaking glitches and issues which prevented me from picking up collectibles. Nothing severe but as it’s a new release there are still some bugs to be patched. Starlords dialogue may get a little old as well. After the 100th time I heard him say “C’mon Rocket” I sighed a little wishing he didn’t repeat that line so much. Honestly, such minor gripes for a really fun and thoroughly enjoyable game!!

    A lot of fun

Despite being a big comic book/superhero fan I was a bit skeptical about the trailers I saw. However, this game was fantastic, heartfelt story, funny and fun to play. Gameplay might take a second to get used to as you just play as Star-Lord and need to understand as leader ordering the other Guardians in combat is a main point to of gameplay. Also, if you are only familiar with the MCU portrayals of these characters be warned there are differences. Their personalities are the same, but backstories will be a bit different.

    Its a Great Adventure!

I bought this game so that my wife (non-gamer) and I could have something to play together on our new PS5. She loved it! Not only that, but my two kids (4 & 6) started to play it and really enjoy it! This was essentially the first video game they have played and caught on super quick! Its very fun as you can collect bells on the different levels in order to utilize them to buy different costumes for Sackboy (see the picture for an example). It is well worth your money with the amount of levels the game has. One cool thing is that there is ten team levels in the game where you have unlimited lives in order to get through the level. It builds teamwork as you can't beat them without the help of each other.

    Best PS5 launch title

This is my favorite release title on the PS5. For the first couple of sections in the first world, I thought this was going to be a boring game because they were relatively easy and not especially compelling. But the difficulty and variety ramp up, and by the time you are halfway through the first world, you will be totally engrossed. One important note: when you put the disc in and it begins downloading, it gives you the option of starting play before the download is complete. DON’T DO THIS! Let it completely download before playing. I started before it completely downloaded and I couldn’t progress past the first world. When I tried to go to the second world, I kept getting a message saying This World is Still Downloading. Try Again Later. I had to contact Sony to figure out what was going on. I ended up having to delete the game and then reinstalling. Now it’s working perfectly.

    Fun Game

I really enjoyed this game. I played online with a couple friends and it definitely makes the game more fun than playing alone. There are a few stages that can only be played with others.

The game has great graphics and is easy to play, but difficult to master (especially some of the challenges within the game). Either way, this would be a great game to play with the kids.

    Amazing Platformer

Growing up a Nintendo Kid, I've always had a fondness for the magic that Super Mario 64 instilled in me as a child. I'd long been a fan of the LittleBigPlanet series but was hopeful we'd get a Super Mario 64/Galaxy/Odyssey type of game and this delivers in spades. For fans of 3D platformers, this is a worthy entry into the upper echelon of games like Mario and Banjo-Kazooie from yesteryear. Gameplay is fun and challenging, and the cosmetic unlocks keep you replaying older levels or striving to collect everything each initial run. Well worth the money.

The levels all are a joy to play, with tight but forgiving platforming and beautifully designed levels, accompanied by awesome music in the background making the levels really pop with fun and enjoyment! Overall I would recommend this game to all age! And I hope everyone can enjoy this game as much as I did! :D

I like Yakuza. You Like Yakuza. Buy it.

Great game! It's an offshoot of the Yakuza games that takes place in the same City. If you are at all interested in Yakuza pick this up!

I think it's more on the serious side but it still has all the zany and goofy stuff you can run into from Yakuza. Lots of minigames too as usual.

The ONLY gripe I have is if you were a previous PS4 owner, there was NO free upgrade so you had to purchase the PS5 version. While I love the game that was a slap in the face... I feel like taking a star away just for that but I decided not to. Just beware that if you don't own a PS5 and were debating between this or the PS4 version you might have to purchase it twice to get the PS5 upgrades!

This game is amazing and I can not wait to play the sequel. Some tasks can get old fast but are not mandatory. Earning money is a grind at the start but thats fine, combat is fun and smooth.

Only thing that get old are the special street thug fights, they show up at all the wrong times and just make the mission you are working on harder.

A thrilling crime story with plenty of fun

Judgment is a fantastic action game, placing you as an attorney-turned-detective in the fictional crime-filled city of Kamurocho. Within that city is a thrilling story that'll lead you all over the city complete with plenty of suspense and action. Outside of the story, there is plenty to do from various substories and minigames. This title is great for both fans of the Yakuza series and newcomers, not needing any prior knowledge to the Yakuza games to enjoy this one.

This game is fantastic! It's by the same people that made Yakuza. The game has a bit of pacing issue, basically can be a bit slow at time. But overall the game is great! I just wish PS5 version would look a bit better, since this is a stand alone release. Instead of a PS4 to PS5 Upgrade. Looking forward to the next Judgment Game.

The Latest Resident Evil is one of the Greatest

An absolutely incredible survival-horror and action blend. A bunch of unique and interesting monsters, weapons that feel great to shoot, unique locations, breathtaking PS5 graphics, a mysterious story, and lore that fits Village in with the rest of the Resident Evil story. Every boss fight in this game feels like it would be the over-the-top FINAL boss fight in a lesser game. Plenty to unlock after you've finished it, four difficulty modes in case you want an easier or more challenging time, and Mercenaries Mode, an arcadey score-attack combat extravaganza after you've finished the story.

I can't recommend this game enough!

    Short but ever so sweet!

This game is a great continuation of Ethan Winter’s story. Even though the game takes an average 6 - 8 hours to beat, I enjoyed every second of it. Capcom has turned down the horror a notch and delivered us a more classic RE experience. Don’t get me wrong the setting and enemy encounters are still creepy as hell, but there wasn’t as many jump scares as there was in Resident Evil 7 which is good for some, but disappointing for others. I loved the story, and the big twist at the end really blew my mind. I love when games do this because they leaves you speculating on what is actually happening. If I can offer you some advice while paying this game, take a second to look around and explore. I know you may rush into finishing the game, but looking for treasure or gathering ingredients for the Duke was very fun to do and can be very rewarding. The preorder bonus that came with it was a steel book case which was nice, but I wish they put more thought into as it looks rather basic. Regardless, Village is an incredible game that brings us to the end of Mr. Winters’ story.

The Most Resident Evil of All The Resident Evils!

I've been a pretty hardcore fan since RE1 on PSX back in 1996. The franchise fell from grace with RE 5 and RE 6, but RE 7 brought this dead franchise back to life. I love RE: Village. This is the most Resident Evil of all Resident Evil games in the franchise.

    THE BAD:

Biggest complaint is the performance takes a bit of a dive on PS5 with Ray Tracing enabled. When RT is enabled, the frame rate struggles to stay at a solid 60 fps. Frame rate takes a pretty big dive nose dive when water is present. This is most noticeable in ACT III. RT isn't worth the performance hit on PS5.

    THE GOOD:

Since this Village is a direct sequel to RE7, I will use the two games to compare to each other. I've heard many people say that this isn't as scary as RE7 tonally, but I'd argue that when played with good headphones and on hardcore for the first time that this game is scarier. Village's tone is arguably weirder and more fun. RE7 had a lot of shocking and gross elements that it borrowed from popular western developed horror games (e.g., Outlast, Alien Isolation, Amnesia).

Skippable cutscenes. Period. If you've played RE7 more than once, you'll know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Village allows you to skip each cutscene. Regardless of whether or not you already completed RE7, there was a total of 1 skippable cutscene the entire game. Every single animation had to be long and dragged out...So for that I commend Capcom for allowing us to skip cutscenes this time around in RE8.

Village is better on all fronts. Gunplay faster has tighter mechanics and animations. The camera sensitivity for the right analog stick has been overhauled from RE7, allowing for more granular customization.

Albeit the B-movie campiness, the storyline and acting is objectively better. Come on. Big Mommy. Need I say more? Ethan's story and personality is more fleshed out. Village is the spiritual successor to RE4 which is evident in the location that it takes place, as well as in the implementation of the inventory and currency system. RE7 raised the bar for the franchise back in 2017, but Village surpasses it in every way for me. It's a masterpiece that falls a little short of RE2: Remake's god-like status, but it's still a masterpiece nonetheless.

Love the game. I hear they are doing a lot of games that are like this “loop” type. Well I’m sold on them right now. Don’t want to spoil anything, but be ready to be challenged in different parts of the game. You will need to think outside the box to pass those areas.

    Unbridled Fun

A unique gameplay loop that will keep you engaged throughout the game. Featuring some pretty wicked powers and a narrative told over the course of a repeated day. You are basically given a handful of areas to explore during the course of day, to gather all the clues necessary to be able to eliminate all of the targeted threats in a single day. Fail…and you start again. The story is further pushed forward by a hunter named Julianna that is after you, which can even be another player! This concept adds a fun bit of PvP to the game with a separate leveling system and all.

This is a modern FPS shooter that features some parkour elements, akin to Mirrors Edge, with the powers of Dishonored. This mash delivers an exciting gunplay with a traversal freedom that just adds up to UNBRIDLED FUN. The game feels great and looks even better.

You won’t be disappointed by picking up this title and spending countless hours reliving the same day. While dying can be frustrating, if you die twice the day resets, the game gives you the ability to save Guns/powers for those just in case moments. For that, I don’t think the game is punishing at all and leaves you just having fun.

    Disappointed

My experience with this game does not match all the 10/10 reviews its getting. This is basically a rogue-like with a twist. Once you get through the initial tutorials, the gameplay loop is to basically - jump into a level, find as much stuff as you can and exit the level back to the hub world without getting killed. Then you can do things like permanently retain weapons, upgrades and powers, making them part of your arsenal going forward. You also gather "information", which is the equivalent of putting a puzzle together.

The 2 main problems I have with this game, and why I don't think I'll finish it is that the loop of jumping into levels & gathering upgrades/weapons becomes very tedious and repetitive. I think this is where the 10/10 reviewers have a subjectively different take on this game than I do. Also, the information gathering you do is ultimately pointless. By the time you're 4+ hours into this, you'll stop reading all the notes, and journal entries and you'll just file them so the game can auto organize them and further complete the puzzle for you.

I think the biggest fans of this title will be die hard first person shooter players, who also have an appetite for speed running. I can see players really perfecting the art of taking out an entire level of enemies in a certain way, or within a certain time.... I'm just not one of those players.

    Awesome game!

I love this game! I love how it’s laid out, the objectives and how it’s a different from other games I have played. Really enjoy also playing a game with an African American protagonist and protagonist. Purchased as a preorder and do not regret it along with the free steel book exclusive to Best Buy!

    Unbelievable game!

This game isn’t really like anything I’ve played before. Was a little lost at first, but quickly grasped the hang of it. Some similar elements that the Dishonored series has it polished up well. Such a great concept! Unfortunately the regular edition wasn’t in stock, but the one weapon you get with the deluxe edition makes it worth it.

    Love Tony Hawk Pro Skater!!

I grew up playing THPS 3 on the GameCube and the Tony Hawk games on the Xbox 360, so I was so excited to hear that they were rebooting the Pro Skater series. I was so excited when this came out that I got it on Xbox on release day. Now I have a PS5 as well, so it was a must to have it on PS5 too. Love this game!! The graphics are wonderful and soundtrack is great. I hope they remake Pro Skater 3 and 4 too!! This is my favorite game to play!

    Best remake ever

This game is everything I wanted it to be and more. The fast & snappy combo gameplay on top of the crisp, smooth sounds make this game so satisfying to play. The game also has a sick amount of style and steez, making the skating experience that much better even though it’s not a realistic skating game. Remarkable graphics. I love the amount of options you have in create a skater and create a park. I’ve been hooked onto THUG Pro for a while and wanted to switch things up a bit and this game hasn’t disappointed me yet. You can play community made parks & upload your own parks online, which brings endless fun and possibility to this game. I am hoping for more updates on the game in the future and more skaters.

My only complaints on this game are the lack of special tricks, you can’t get off your board (I understand they want to stay true to the original series) and online connectivity issues. Other than that the game is still a ton of fun.

Unimpressive Graphics But an Impressive Collection

I start with an odd statement: neither of these games individually would score as high as they are combined in this collection, and this collection is what I’m reviewing. Nioh as a series sets itself apart with visceral, engaging, and joyously complex combat not found anywhere else in the Souls-like subgenre. And while it is hampered by a story that is just as unintuitive as its UI, at least it actually delivers one. If you get into Nioh through this collection, you’re treated to an impressively long, grueling journey filled with all your dollars’ worth in tears and frustration, one that is easily shared with others. Sure, its visuals are not at all impressive on current gen hardware, but these two games combined saw me turning on my PS5 every night until the end, and that says everything it needs to.

A Decent Addition to the Dark Pictures Anthology

I am a huge fan of the Dark Pictures series. My love started with Until Dawn on PS4.

This is a choose-your-own-adventure type game and is very story driven. You basically control a group of characters, switching between them at different points in the story. The main goal being getting all the characters to survive a horror movie-like adventure.

This game's story centers around some soldiers being trapped underground and fighting off ancient zombie/vampire type creatures. You must find a way out of the endless caves while avoiding being bitten, infected or eaten alive.

The game is not super action-filled all the time. You walk around looking for clues and making your way through the spooky environments. Every so often there will be quick-time based combat events who's success is crucial to keeping your characters alive.

Overall, it might not be a game for everyone. Its somewhat short, maybe 6 - 10 hours. But lots of replayability due to different endings and scenarios. But if you like horror games or story-driven, choose-your-own-adventures, you should definitely check it out.

    Overall, great game!

Really enjoyed playing this game, I only wish that it was a bit longer. The story was good and definitely had good twists and turns, keeping me at the edge of my controller. The decisions from each character definitely follow you throughout the game. The only thing I would have done different is explain the beginning of the game a little more, while allowing you to play some of the first characters story, while making meaningful decisions that impacted the main characters journey. Overall, great game, amazing story, and an awesome play for the price!

    Best One!

I’ve played the first two entries in the series and both of them were great but were undermined by wonky controls and the camera angles were just brutal. House of Ashes fixed that issue for me, by giving me more control over the camera and played much smoother. Excited for the improvements to the upcoming 4th installment

    Great Horror on PS5

So far so good! Tough to tell if this is my favorite of the series but this definitely looks and sounds great running on a PS5. Some of the scenes look extremely life-like. I’d give this 5 stars but some of the facial animations look silly here and there. Some of the voice acting sounds forced. Those cons are not deal breakers. You should definitely pick this up!

The best of The Dark Pictures entries yet

A fun group of people you don't mind getting killed.

All of the characters start off as less than great people, so the bad things happening to them don't make you feel bad, and boy, do bad things happen.

Fun for those of us that like horror movies and story games. Not for people that want to go in blasting things. It is very much NOT Doom.

Loved the game on the ps4 and love it now on my ps5. The most noticeable change is the refresh rate im game, way smoother and of course the graphics improved tremendously as well. Masterpiece

This game is one of a kind! I have never played a Kojima game, so I am new to his games. This game is a masterpiece! The prologue had me hooked. I know the game is a "walking simulator" but I don't think so. One can traverse mountains, cliffs, and valleys which brings amazing background shots and gets you immersed into the journey as a porter. The journey is a deep and beautiful experience which not many games can master. This game pairs well with a 4k TV. The soundtrack is amazing! It suits the game really well. For those getting into the game for the first time, take your time and enjoy every aspect of the game. For those who stopped playing the game, I suggest getting back in because the new features of the Director's Cut make the experience better.

I didn’t know what to expect when I bought it, but it exceeded my expectations. It’s not the most action packed game, but the story, characters, world building, musical score, and the ambiguous nature of the game all make up for it! I recommend giving Death Stranding a try!

I bought the first Death Stranding and although the story is good I didn’t particularly like the lack of action. So, I didn’t think I was going to buy the Director’s Cut. But since my son insisted on getting this game, I decided to get it for him as a birthday present. It turns out that it’s much better than the first one and the graphics are much better too. Also there’s a little more action in this one.

I've always loved Alan Wake and the remaster just

Not perfect, yet okay remaster. All cutscenes look way better than original ones, still not amazing, but way better. To be honest i never really cared for the cutscenes in this game, i have played it since 2012 and i always skipped cutscenes after 1st time i played it. I just find it weird when people play it and act like cutscenes aren't top tier, like people don't understand that this is updated 2010/2012 video game. For 2010/2012, this game looks phenomenally good. So yeah main improvement is cutscenes, but also everything else, like grass, ground textures, textures in general, lighting. Ghosting effect is gone (thank god). Maxed out, this is now best version of this game and nobody can argue that. It simply looks way cleaner and better and don't get me wrong, fog is still there, difference is that you can actually now see where you are going. I have played this game over 30 times and i always got lost somewhere in the woods, because it was so difficult to even understand where you are. This problem is gone now. Looks good, not perfect, but still best version of this game as of right now. graphically it can almost compete with some modern games. New York level looks better than ever. Performance is okay, but i'm sure they will update it even more.

If you have never played it and wanna choose between this version or original, 100% pick remastered . It is ultimate edition of this game

Amazing Game. It Draws You In.

This game is among the best; it’s a phenomenal horror game. It has a great narrative and you won’t want to miss it. Luckily, this remaster gives not only old fans a great game with enhanced visuals, it also welcomes all new audiences that never played the original. Particularly great for PlayStation fans as this game was originally an Xbox exclusive.

Set in the extreme northwestern US, this game’s environment is set around a picturesque lakeside town surrounded by trees and mountains. If you like settings you may have seen in Twin Peaks, Supernatural, or The X-Files (to name a few), you’ll adore the environment of this game.

The game is heavily inspired by these types of shows, and the Twilight Zone in particular. There is even a TV Series within the game world (seen playing on TVs in the game), that pays homage to The Twilight Zone. Along with the setting, this really makes the game so atmospheric.

There is a strong mystery embedded within the story, so if you like mystery, suspense, and horror, you’ll appreciate this game. I strongly recommend everyone grab a copy, whether you play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One X, or PC!

    Very atmospheric

Alan Wake is an absolute masterpiece of art design, atmosphere, and originality. The story is better if you follow through the eyes of Alan Wake himself. The game has a fluid progression system as you strive to solve the disappearance of your wife. The creatures you encounter throughout this game are well thought out, and are especially great when you play on the higher difficulties. As the game relies on eliminating enemies with only light, and the weapons at your disposal, this creates an atmosphere like no other.

Excellent puzzle game, cant pass up Tetris.

I have been playing Tetris for almost 25 years and it is additive then as it is now. I'm still learning how to play Puyo Puyo, as it reminds me of Columns. Wish more people would play online, I can never find a match.

    Clear improvement over 2K21

Motion feels completely revamped and no longer showing signs of animations taking precedence over simple physics. Online play remains hit or miss depending on your location, internet speed, and time of day. The input lag for online play remains a skill you need to build and work around for success online but the career mode has plenty of side quests to keep you occupied. The city feels arbitrarily large especially when you're just starting out, sending you running across the city for anywhere from 5-10 minutes to perform a simple conversation quest.

If you played 2k21 there are many changes. The game play is good not great. I love how you are able to select teams from the past however there are notable superstars from the past missing from this game. Overall it’s worth the purchase as there aren’t many other options for NBA basketball games vs the 2k series

    Just ok.

I am playing on a ps5. The game is ok. The graphics are Mediocre at best. I have love this game for awhile now and was sooooooo happy to see that the game was finally dropping. Maybe I was to hyper and exited for my expectations. This one counts on your clothes that you wear. Nothing like this has happened with this game before. I this it’s an ok game to hold me over until COD.

I would not bye this game for the price it cost. Just wait and the price should fall down faster than normal.

Another great FarCry title, but needs some patches

I have been playing this for a month now, taking my time, and am not quite through the main story line. I have enjoyed the last few FarCry releases and this is no exception. You star as a guerilla fighter in a corrupt Carribean nation working to rally countrymen to the cause and topple the military and corrupt dictator, played by Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad. The stealth kill opportunities are numerous, fun weapons, funny dialogue, huge map, amazing graphics on the PS5.

My one complaint, Ubisoft should have spent a few more weeks debugging this title before release. I did not experience the technical glitches that are present here on any of the prior releases. Weird stuff, like when you parachute into a military area to start a mission, it wont let you boot up any of your weapons from the weapon wheel. No bueno! Frantic jittery image playback at a few points. One time I was flying a plane on a mission, the screen went dark and then jumped to end game animation with the character in a chaise lounge on the beach. Just weird. But I can forgive that, because the game is that good. When the game starts, choose the female Dani character. She is excellent.

    Same Far Cry Experience

If you're a fan of Far Cry games, you'll enjoy this. If this is your first Far Cry, you're in for a treat as this is probably one of the more polished entries into the series.

Its not a perfect 5/5 for me because of the way Ubisoft is doubling down on size and amount of things to do. This is subjective of course, some gamers love the value in a game that gives you dozens and dozens of hours of gameplay. But ultimately I found myself at around the 10 hour mark completely overwhelmed by just how much is going on within the map... and how big said map is.

My other criticism is the RPG element Ubisoft has injected into this, which is the mechanic of requiring the right type of ammunition for different enemies. This mechanic quickly becomes tedious to manage, and doesn't give you that feel of having 1 or 2 favorite guns that you rely on for the majority of the game.

So not sure if I'll finish this - but definitely a great "value" game that will keep fans entertained for a long time.

    Great addition to FC series

Main villain is very good, great voice acting. Map is huge with lots of bases, roadblocks to capture. Lots of weapons, vehicles that are all customizable. New features include customizable backpack weapons that serve as a finisher, followers you can recruit and send on missions, some lite base building. Skill tree is gone and somewhat replaced by gear options. Guns for hire seems mostly focused on animal companions. Graphics are great on ps5 but I have noticed some screen tearing. I have enjoyed far cry 4, 5, and primal and 6 is another great addition to the series

The first real Far Cry game in years

This really takes me back to what I enjoyed about the Far Cry series years ago. It feels like playing through Far Cry 3 again for the first time. Compelling story in a tropical setting with some serious elements mixed with some whacky stuff too. Lots of vehicles and weapons to suit any play style (I personally prefer stealth most of the time). The graphics and voice acting (as well as mocap) is all very well done. This is one of the best Far Cry games I've played in years and really happy to see the series returning to what made it so great. It's still a very open world experience with some guidance but allows you to take things on at your own pace and with some freedom in the order in which you do things. Definitely worth picking up a copy!

    It's a Far Cry game!

A lot of complaints out there that the Far Cry blueprint is getting old and that this iteration doesn't add enough to the formula to distinguish it from previous versions.

Maybe so. But I am having fun with it. It's great on the PS5, super fast and responsive, and it looks great. Stealth is harder in this game than previous ones, which is actually cool. And I feel like there are a wider array of mission types than before so that's a plus.

My only complaint is that the Spanglish and cultural cues are condescending and a bit cringe (that's as nice as I can put it), but that's pretty much a Far Cry trademark as well, isn't it?

    Overall pretty fun.

Same FarCry, but still the same fun

FarCry 6 is pretty much more of what you come to expect from the series. It has a lot of side activities, and things to collect. They took different ideas from their other games like Ghost Recon. One of those is collecting guns in crates to add to your arsenal. The grqphics are nice, but I do believe that it's time to leave last gen behind at some point. It looks good, but it could look way better if made for next gen only. I have not finished the game yet, but what I have played is extremely fun, and highly recommended.

    Great

This game is nowhere near perfect but it is a whole lot of fun for the arcade racer. Yes definitely not a sim, not any repercussions for crashing into other cars but definitely for barriers and obstacles, but the weather is a real feature of this game the mud, water and snow are much more realistic than earlier arcade games. I have not got involved in the career mode or playground as yet, just the free play mode, it can keep you entertained for hours. one downside is that it is not playable using a wheel at the time of this writing, but i have read that it will be in future updates, i can hardly wait for that. But turn up the feedback on your controller and you really feel the jumps on landing. Set the game to be played at dusk or night and the visual affects are amazing. For installation on xbox you need to prioritise frame rate instead of graphics otherwise it will freeze and you will need to restart to change the setting. i am still getting occasional freezes in gameplay but i assume they will eventually be ironed out by codemasters. 5 stars for me but i am on the wrong side of 60. cheers

Fun, but slightly missed the mark

While it does not hold up to the rally experiences of Dirt games past, it is a really enjoyable title with solid multi-player functionality, a fun campaign and awesome graphics.

If you are looking for a rally Sim, this is not the game you're looking for. However, if you're looking for a fun arcade style rally racer to play stellar couch co-op with, look no further.

Good game, but has loading issues.

This game is a banger. For those that grew up playing Jrpgs this is a great throwback. It has more active combat where you have to time your attacks and your blocks which can be a pain for certain people. The game has a fairly good story that is whimsical and reminiscent of something like Chrono Trigger though it doesn't quite reach those highs. One thing that hurts this game is the loading time. There's significant loading time on the PS5 version of around 5 or so seconds to get in and out of battle. It's even worse on the switch at 15-25 seconds to enter and exit battle. The game is good but isn't as good as many classics before it. One thing this game does have is a sort of Steven Universe vibe and it makes fun of several rpg tropes which can make the game more enjoyable depending if you like certain archetypes.

    Cris Tales = Sleeper Hit

A very impressive game in both design and execution. You use the past, present, and future to solve puzzles and fight enemies in a cleverly designed turn based RPG. All NPCs are voice acted, and the visuals are excellent. The characters fall flat at times and it's weird the way they chose to display the time mechanic.

Having said that, this game is still terrific. It's a sleeper indie hit that will easily give you dozens of enjoyable hours and reasons to replay the game if you choose to do so. 8/10

No disk in case after I broke the seal

Ordered Fornite game for PS5 in Nov of 2020. I ordered the game before I ordered the PS5. I got my PS5 yesterday and cracked open my brand new sealed game and found nothing was in the case. I immediately called Best Buy and explained. They said because the date had passed there was nothing they can do. Please check your games if you buy from Best Buy.

    Great game

So after being lucky enough to grab a PS5 last year (from GameStop of all places, in a bundle), I ran into a drought of games to play on the system. I saw Fortnite was updated graphically for the PS5 so I thought I'd try it out. I was surprised at how fun the game was, especially the single player "Save the World" mode. I know I'm late to this 2017 game, but having started just after Christmas 2020, I'm having fun with the game and friends online. This DLC has been on sale recently, and I was able to buy it in online from Best Buy for the same price. Great if your into DC characters like Joker and Poison Ivy, as well as the Midas character (non-reactive like his other counterpart that turns in game weapons to a gold skin). But it's also nice as a collector to have a physical case for this game in my collection, even if it doesn't include an actual disk.

    Good game

My son opened this today for Christmas and he was very excited to get it! It didn’t disappoint him either! Gave him way more than the downloaded version. At first he was nervous because the case was empty and he thought it was missing. But we quickly figured out it was just a code that was needed. Easy peezy!

Good if it’s what you need

Not bad, I just didn’t realize that this is an empty case with a code to use as skins. That’s my fault but we were new to Fortnite so I ended up returning it. If this is what you need go for it but if you were expecting it to be a game you can download that for free. You just need to pay for add ons like this.

    Fun way to start Fortnite

This is a fun package to try fortnite if you're into comics and gaming. I slept on this game for years, figured it was time to give it a go. It's fun, not intimidating, I see why the world is hooked. Playing as Joker is fun. I don't know if it's $30 fun but I got this in a b2g1 so yay free stuff.

    A Gem of a Game

This game is definetly a hidden gem. Part walking simulator, part detective game this future sci fi game is just cool.

You play as a old man looking for his son because the corporation is looking for him too.

After the first mission, the game unravels into this crazy mind bending sci fi trip. The detective part slows down the game but it is worth it, because it builds into trippy parts.

Overall, the game was worth purchasing for $30, it is definetly short(6-8 hours) but the game delivers.

A welcomed surprise in these summer months

There is much about this “Tribes Of Midgard” title that may seem familiar. From the top down view of gameplay, to the gameplay itself, with its resource gathering and structure building requirements, but make no mistake, this is a terribly unique video game, offering an experience which before it’s release was unfortunately unavailable to console players.

If you enjoy what the trailers display, as well as all things Nordic myth, you will not be disappointed, especially with its “Saga” feature, ensuring there will be much more added to this already immensely enjoyable game in the future.

One Of The Best Trilogies In Gaming History

Hitman III is an incredible finale to a seriously underrated trilogy. The amount of options you have to assassinate your targets is so much fun. Graphics look great (especially on my LG CX Oled my god) and the game runs beautifully on PS5 with a consistent 60fps. Need to mention that the soundtrack is also great across all three games. Highly recommend everyone to pick this game up, it has a ton lots of value and replayability. Also, if you own the previous two games, all your progress and unlocks carry over. I really love this trilogy, and I hope this won't be the last that we see of Agent 47. Make more Hitman games IO Interactive!

A Strong Conclusion to a Great Trilogy

As a big fan of the stealth genre, and a huge fan of the first two Hitmans in this rebooted trilogy (2016's Hitman and 2018's Hitman 2), I had a lot of expectations going into the third entry. I'm happy to say I was very satisfied with the conclusion. While I wasn't a huge fan of the two middle levels, the others more than made up for it, and this entry by far has the strongest story of any of the three games.

This is definitely a must-play for anyone who has played the other Hitman games. The replayability is strong too, with every level having so many ways to complete it, you can easily drop dozens of hours into this game after beating it the first time.

For anyone who's wondering if you can play this without having played the first two, the answer is yes, but I'd still recommend playing the others first if you are the type who gets heavily invested in the story.

Fun, but the extras are pricy

Lots of fun, but takes a little while to get going. I would wait for this one to go on sale or for a complete edition to come out, as this only contains the (short) main campaign. All of the other content is charged at a premium ($30-60 each DLC to play the remastered first two games).

Capping off a great Hitman trilogy

A good end to a great Hitman trilogy. Cool thing is that you can import both H1 and H2 levels into it though the process is a bit cumbersome.

It doesn't have Ray Tracing at launch but even the the visuals look great, especially Dubai.

The Darthmoor level is a great homage to Clue/Knives Out/Agatha Christie - take your pick.

The new shortcut system is kind of interesting but the camera doesn't really make much of a difference.

I would have liked a few more mission stories though.

Looking forward to the timed targets in the future.

5 stars for me but i am on the wrong side of 60. cheers

While it does not hold up to the rally experiences of Dirt games past, it is a really enjoyable title with solid multi-player functionality, a fun campaign and awesome graphics.

NBA 2k22 returns the series to form.

2k has made a great game this time around. The new and improved city has been overhauled to be a major integral part of the myCareer story this time around, and it does nothing but benefit and add to the overall myCareer experience.

MyTeam has added the draft back to game mode lineup in 2k22 and this is a great mode for all players of all skills, to draft a team of NBA stars and compete against others who had to go through the same random selection of players as you. A very great alternative from the typical MyTeam modes where you compete against others who could have insanely good teams by just buying card packs.

MyNBA is still one of if not the most customizable and overall best league simulation modes on the sports gaming market. Although, there are not many things new other than the new overhauled way of hiring and managing staff members of your organization. MyNBA is a mode that could still get better if they listened to features wanted by the community, but as is it is, its still the best for simulation in sports gaming.

Overall, NBA 2k22 is a phenomenal improvement on its predecessor in 2k21 in almost every facet with the gameplay, etc. It also had one of the better launches of a 2k game but that doesn't mean much. NBA 2k22 is a nice return to form from the disappointing product of last year and a hopeful start for the next generation of 2k games.

    Great game, terrible 2k support

The game itself is great. I wish 2K would be more specific into what is what on the codes you receive. I lost out on VC, 2K was not very helpful in getting my stuff that happened fixed. They gave me back 35k VC out of the 100vc that I lost. Their support is terrible and takes long. It took a month for me to get any kind of resolution which still wasn't the greatest.

    2k21 < 2k22 < 2k20

Really fun came to play. Big fan of My Team. I still think 2k20 was the best of the series, but this game is way better to navigate than 2k21. I picked up the deluxe edition for the extras in My Team. If your not into that the regular version will do just fine. It also comes with a digital copy of the standard game. Good if you still like to play on the ps4 too. Not a fan as the digital copy takes up to much space on the hard drive. Overall, another fun year of NBA 2k.

    Much needed improvement

Definitely an improvement over 2K21 and overall best improvement in years. The new city to explore and build your myplayer up is so far pretty cool. A little buggy with the controls and navigating the city. But it’s not really meant to be an open world game. I appreciate the effort but don’t expect too much there. The concept is good and the gameplay is good. I can’t give it 5 stars, but better than the 1 and 2 I felt it’s had for the last few years.

One of the best releases in recent memory.

This is easily one of the best 2K's to release in recent memory. The gameplay is improved from last year's version and having Dirk and Luka on the cover is even better. The City and servers have some lag issues but nothing major. I especially like the fact it's less story-driven and more open world and you can do quests.

    A simple upgrade - worth $20

I picked this up for $20, and truly feel like it was worth the upgrade. I played this initially on PS4, and had a great time, but I felt the game lacked in several ways. Not necessarily in gameplay, though there are shortcomings in that area as well, I’m referring to some of the technical issues. Nothing specific, just small stuff littered throughout the game, it was clear the game could use a little polishing and tweaking. So far, I can say the PS5 version cleans up a lot of those issues, and the game feels really good to play. Reduction of load times, and bringing the game up-to-date with enhancements to graphics and FPS, as well as the PS5’s haptic feedback controls, all make this well worth another play through. I can’t say I’d feel the same at a price any higher than $20-30. The changes aren’t THAT drastic, nor is there anything extra from the PS4 experience. For new owners, I’d definitely recommend this at full price, the game is truly a great Star Wars experience.

    Great game

Wonderful game! I had an absolute blast playing it. Reminds me of all the reasons why I love this franchise. EA had a lot to prove and they gave us something great. I like the Assassins Creed/Tomb Raider like gameplay. It compliments Star Wars very well.

Combat took some getting used to, but once you get a handle on it, it becomes much more immersive. It’s much more tactical then most and requires some patience instead of just plowing through everything. Which to me, makes it much more unique. It’s not super hard but certain boss fights can be very challenging. Not throw my controller challenging, but enough to were I’d have to learn from my mistakes and adjust my approach to the battle. Just like a Jedi!

It also reminds me of the old Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy Games. Worlds are all unique and fun to explore, if a bit linear, which I know bothers some but I could care less if it’s linear as long as it’s interesting.

Story was familiar but great to play through. Pretty sure I loved all the new characters and can’t wait for their story to continue. Platforming was fun and intense at times. I enjoyed collecting all the cosmetics and learning about the new worlds and characters. All in all, I loved it. It’s the single player Star Wars experience I’ve needed for a long time. In my mind, best Star Wars game since the original Force Unleashed. Buy it or rent it just to see what you think, and may the force be with you. 9.50/10.

Never played any sort of Rogue-Like game before and honestly, I’ve had a complete blast with Returnal, barring the infinite amount of times I have died on so many runs, haha! Amazing visuals, haptic feedback, gameplay! Selene is a pretty cool character too, nice to have a heroine protagonist to play through a vast Sci-Fi and monster filled planet. Great PS5 showcase game

Great game to play! First, the overall gameplay, sound tech (the 3D audio especially), visuals, haptic feedback, controls, all of that are awesome and very tight and adds to the overall experience and is a good showcase of the PS5. Overall story was intriguing and kept me curious as to where it was going.

I'm just going to go into the gameplay a little. It's also a 3rd person view shooter game (think Uncharted, Gears of war, etc...). Now, this game actually has a pretty good auto aim system so if you like to run and gun without trying to aim directly at enemies, this is actually a very viable way of playing (actually the way I mostly played too). A lot of the time, you just don't have the time to manually and and shoot so this is something you will want to get used to if you're not.

There are complaints about there being no save feature (currently) and I definitely understand the sentiment. I had times when I had to put my PS5 into Rest mode because I had to step away. BE SURE TO TURN OFF AUTO-UPDATE IF YOU GO THIS ROUTE AS IT WILL RESTART YOUR PS5 IF THERE IS AN UPDATE. If this makes you worried, make sure you have a few hours free before you start playing, or set a goal that may be shorter to achieve. I would say my longest run probably took roughly 2 hours. As you progress in the game, you gain access to be able to go to further levels faster without having to repeat boss fights. I would say no run should last more than 3 hours (unless you're just spending time to clear out everything in every biome, which isn't necessary honestly).

The final thing I'll note is the difficulty. Lots of people that say the game is very difficult to beat. I personally didn't think the game was overly difficult, and I'm not trying diminishing their experiences. It could be that the game just clicked with me. Most of the deaths I had were due to my personal performance rather than cheap random kills by the game (I say MOST). I believe I had roughly 25 deaths by the time I completely finished the game. I think as long as you're paying attention to your surrounding (3D audio actually helped a lot here) and stay on your toes and don't play too defensively/passively, you'll get far.

Now, there were just 3 things that marred the experience for me somewhat. First, there were a couple of run ending glitches/crashes that ended a run I was on. There are some rooms that you can't leave until killing all enemies. One of these rooms didn't open after I cleared the room so I had to restart unfortunately. A couple of times the game just crashed. Now these were very rare for me (I think 3 times total in a roughly 24hr total experience) so overall not bad but wanted to let people know that this may happen (maybe patches have fixed by now). The other 2 things I have issues with are RNG related (basically lucked based mechanics if you don't know what RNG means). Just to avoid potential spoilers, there are 2 different types of things that you collect during your play through the game. These are randomly generated as you play so there is no guarantee that you'll be able to find what you are looking for in the area you are looking in, and those kinds of mechanics always leaves a little bit of a sour note for me. I will note that most of these are optional, so it doesn't necessarily contribute to you being able to complete the game (except for 1 particular set of items). I'll probably play this game again every once in a while to try and find everything, but no rush since I've beaten the game. PSN ID jjashikeegah if you want to verify I beat the game or if you want to ask questions.

Overall a very fun experience that you don't usually see too often so if you want to try something new that's somewhat challenging, I would definitely recommend this game.

The game I almost didn't play

A good friend of mine said, you need to buy Returnal. I watched reviews several times and that type of game just didn't interest me. Well I was at a point where I wanted a hard game and this was on sale, so I bought it. Best decision I've made for my PS5.

This game to me is a metroid style game in third person. The game is challenging but not usually unfair. Let me give some examples that I wish I knew sooner. The reviews and complaints about the game said that a run can take 2 hours. I'm not sure any of my runs where that long. The first biome (level) it might take between 5 and 30 minutes to get to the boss room. The second biome, once you make it to the boss, a shortcut opens that let's your bypass 60% of the level. The third biome, once you extend the bridge, it shortens that level by 50% permanently.

My point is that there are checkpoints that reward progress in this game so each run never feels like a wasted amount of time. The game also has if not the best third person combat I've ever experienced.

Don't let certain reviews lead you to bypass this game. I think everyone needs to try it. It was the most addicting and fun experience I've had in awhile.

    Satisfying Roguelite

It's so cool to see the mix of bullet-hell, shooting, and arcade in here. The challenge is perfect and each run gives you something different every time. After beating Act I, I started runs only to die within the first 10 minutes and I lost my patience with the game.

To anyone reading this, I seriously recommend changing the controls of the game that suit you. The default controls are a little annoying. After I did this, the game was super comfortable to play and it was really hard to lose runs after that.

The cycle of getting upgrades, different guns, and different alt-fire modes with the obtained guns is a ton of fun.

    Must Have for PS5

This game will hook you. Absolutely gorgeous, sounds amazing, controls spot-on, and gameplay's very challenging. Really shows off what the PS5 can do. The whole premise of not being able to save whenever is a refreshing change of pace from modern games today. Makes finally beating a boss all the more satisfying.

Don't get too hung up on keeping your progress "saved" w/ rest mode. It only really matters if you're in the middle of a run. Otherwise, finish your run then call it quits for the day. Your character's stats, progress in story, and everything you've unlocked will be there tomorrow.

    Amazing

I play Planet Coaster and Parkitect. Both great games and you should try both of them. Personally, Planet Coaster beats Parkitect by A LOT. The graphics, the challenge, (it is hard because you have to keep staff and guests happy and have to care fr your park. It is so fun. I started Parkitect, played for a few days, then I got Planet Coaster and could NOT stop playing. Every day after school I run to my PC and open Planet Coaster. I play for like 2 hours and just build, go on rides, and work on keeping my park an enjoyable experience for the guests. I love how the guests have happiness, hunger, thirst, tiredness, and need for the bathroom ratings, and have a taste for different rides, so you have to cater to many different ride preferences from really calm to crazy thrill-seekers. Also how the staff can get really tired or really grumpy, and they can quit at any moment. It adds a nice challenge to it, makes it so much better. if it was possible, I'd give Planet Coaster a 10-star rating. I play on low graphics yet the graphics are still amazing. I love how you can go on the rides you build. All of the different scenery, buildings, shops, and ride options make the game so much more enjoyable because you can let your imagination soar to new heights, I like how you have a variety of game-modes (Sandbox, Challenge, Campaign) and DLC packages that you can buy off of Steam to get many more options for scenery and rides, and buildings, etc. Also, it is amazing that you are able to design an avatar that you want, instead of choosing between premade avatars or not getting one at all. There are so many more amazing things about Planet Coaster, but I feel like I have said enough in one review. Thank you, Frontier for creating such an amazing game, that I enjoy so much.

    Just like the classics

Awesome game. As a child I grew up playing all of the Roller coaster Tycoon games and this one is just as great. Be prepared to waste tons of time cause once you get rolling, hours will pass before you know it. I have about 20hrs in it so far after owning it for under a week.

I also own the PC version previously and the Console version did a great port with the controls. Once you get the hang of things, I would say it is even easier to play on the console vs the mouse and keyboard.

The only issue I have had so far is that when your park reaches 3000 guests, things get a little wonky and the people start getting stuck in random spaces as if the path is not there. The only way I have been able to resolve this was to save the game and re load it. Hopefully there is a fix for that soon.

Other than that, I 100% Highly recommend this game.

    Good Game

Good fun game. Worth buying. Some small issues I had were I wanted items to be resizable, I wish there were more rides and scenery, although DLC's are available, and I had to leave one of my challenge parks early due to maxing out the build limit . Also, the controls when you lower or raise an object, will cause object to move around horizontally which can be annoying.

All I can say if you enjoy Rollercoaster Tycoon back in the day this is a solid game that bring that fun back. You might not have the well known names like before with Six Flags coaster names. But the attention to detail with the staff, construction of coasters, customer’s satisfaction and dissatisfaction. If simulators and building is your thing then it is well worth it!

Decent Action, though a bit repetitive

I pre-ordered this game as my first ps5 game purchase, so I paid full price of $60. It came with 2 weeks of funimation subscription (valued at 7.99$ per month), and I think it was ok. This game price dropped really quickly, which made me feel a bit salty about it.

There's a motion blur that I really did not like that people said is due to the unreal engine and that it could be resolved on the PC version of the game. It honestly made me think the game was ghosting on my TV. Combat, while flashy, gets repetitive and incredibly annoying with the enemy target lock system. I spent a little less than 30 hours on the game (I definitely wasted a few hours of time here or there) and only played through Kasane's route. I don't feel compelled to play through Yuito's story.

I don't regret playing the game, but buy it on sale at $30 or less.

    So close to being perfect

I really like this game a lot. The gameplay is fun and engaging and doesn't get old. The music gives off persona 5 vibes which is awesome since that game also is very good. The story is interesting and I'm excited to see where it goes.

    From a gameplay viewpoint:

You use teleknesis to throw objects around at different enemies and you can also use your teammates powers to enhance your own. This keeps the combat engaging as you can change which teammates powers you are using in battle. This makes it fun to test out different combos to see which combination is best suited to handle different enemies.

    From a story standpoint:

The story is treated more like a visual novel at some points where you have a still image of the characters in a scene and then they have the conversation on top. I don't mind this and thought this was a fun way to have the story be displayed.

The story (so far) is very interesting. I don't want to give anything away so, I'll keep this vague. The story starts off as not super interesting but, then once something happens (you will immediately know when this happens) it gets very intriguing as story gets really crazy and draws me back.

Along with the main story, you can talk with your friends to boost their bonus to you and your team. I like this a lot as it gives you greater insight as to why people are fighting or act the way they do. It's fun to see the interactions continue throughout the game.

I also want to mention the side quests. They seem so far to be more or less pointless which kinda sucks. I felt that they could've given more story behind these quests instead of "go here and kill this enemy". Also the side quests are mega tedious, usually boiling down to "defeat these enemies in this way". I think it's trying to get the player to learn different ways to defeat opponents but, it's not very fun.

Overall, if you want a fun hack and slash game with cool gameplay mechanics that has also has a good story, I think you'll enjoy this game.

    Excellent jrpg scarlet nexus

I am currently on my 2nd playthrough of scarlet nexus(with kasane this time)the game has 2 characters and each has their own story. The art style is amazing(anime with a horror influence, they call it brainpunk)the music is incredible(i can't get the them song out of my head by the oral cigarettes "dream in drive")and the gameplay is tight and action based(makes you feel light a ninja and grows with levels as you become more powerful)this is one of the best games i have played and among my top games of the year. To me it does so much right and was exactly what i hoped it would be. If i had to list negitives...enemy's repeat designs throughout the game as well as levels(but some new ones show up if you play both campagins so it is a trade off)and i played the demo on both ps5 and ps4 and on ps4 at 30fps it was choppy and didn't play smooth(ps5 is definitly the way you should play this...if you can get one?)so it to me is a 9/10 other people have trashed it but i figure they are not jrpg fans or didn't like the style etc. I have played many games and genres over the years and this game is among the best and stands on it's own(unique)

Anime action with fast fluid combat and good story

Fast, Fun, and Frenetic. If you enjoy anime and action games with some RPG-Lite elements this game will scratch an itch for around 50 or so hours (that is playing through as both characters, which I recommend to get the complete story) There are plenty of small side-quests and tons of dialog(mostly voiced) The English dub is actually pretty decent and I was surprised it was dubbed seeing as the anime is not even dubbed yet. Diverse combat and lots of great visuals and a good not perfect sci-fi story. Combat is tight and responsive and on PS5 it makes use of the adaptive triggers making your powers fee great to use. I waited to review this until after I completed it through and I can say I will likely come back to it and play it again it was just good fun with a colorful cast and an amazing aesthetic.

    Fun and Frantic

This game is different than I had expected going in. I knew very little regarding the story, and even less about the characters.

Story wise, the game is an absolute trip. Many developments I was not expecting, and every cutscene is more and more fun.

Combat wise the game is fantastic. Each additional ally adds another layer to the combat, and as you become closer with those allies via the bond system, it adds more techniques benefits to those allies. The combat is super fast, but not unwieldy.

The bond system is fun, you can give gifts and have little cutscenes with each ally as you build your friendship with them. Their are real benefits to this system as each bond level increases their usability in combat.

The game does have two different protaganists to choose from. Both characters have a differing perspective on the story with different allies available at the beginning.

I have spent about 40 hours in the game so far, and have yet to beat it with the first protagonist.

I am a completionist, however would say that if you are intending to play through both protagonists, it will likely run 60-80 hours of gametime.

I would recommend the game, and suggest if you are interested to definitely take a look at the demo available on the PSN or Xbox Store.

    A gripping & enjoyable experience

This game has been an amazing experience so far. The game's story is incredible and both it and the characters really suck you into the game and make you want more and more until you finally have all the answers to the many mysteries in this game.

The combat is fun and intense, the variety of ways you can go about fighting your battles and the interactive environments during said battles open up all kinds of possibilities.

With two playable characters, there's two vastly different sides to the story to experience. You literally cannot get the full story without playing both sides/characters. So as much as you enjoy playing the game once, there's certain questions you'll have that will be answered by playing the other character.

All-in-all, this is a fantastic game and I've been enjoying it immensely. I hope you enjoy it as well. :)

    Anime Console Game

Scarlet Nexus is good fun. Imagine controlling your own anime episode. With good visuals, fun characters, exciting combat & an interesting story. Game allows you to play with two different characters. With story changes being told their experiences. Definitely fun to play. If you are an anime fan or a fan of action combat games, this is recommended.

    Returnal: Rouge-Like Galore!

PlayStation and Housemarque continue to deliver!

    Disappointingly Average...

I was very excited to get my hands on this former Xbox exclusive due to the added haptic features for the DualSense controller, and the "split world" mechanics, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that the game wasn't disappointingly average. It's not a bad game by any means, but I'd suggest holding off until it's at a $20 or less price point. It's worth having in your survival horror collection, but don't expect anything lifechanging.

Great game but buy H1 & 2 elsewhere

Excellent game. This was the first Hitman I have played a substantial amount of time. In regards to the "Deluxe Edition" if you're not worried about acquiring inconsequential content such as cosmetics, and you can find just the base game of H5 for cheaper then go for that instead. Soundtrack and digital artbook, and the director commentary are cool but weren't a big deal to me. Also please note that the deluxe edition does NOT contain all content from H1 and H2. You must own those as well and then import them into H3 which can be a convoluted process. It is great having a unified menu for the entire trilogy though if you go that route.

    Great game

This game will be immediately compared to the Left 4 Dead series. It is created by the oriinal people whi made that series so great. Not only has this game done what that series has done as far as gameplay asthetics, but it has expanded on just about every aspect of what made that series so great in the first place. Co-op, and sticking together is a must. You can not just run ahead or you will be taken out faster than in Left 4 Dead. This game has more special enemy types.far more often, so there is more of an ergency for cooperation with your team mates. The AI in this seems to follow the host, so if you are playing with another live person, you really need to stick together.

The graphics are really great, and you can easily determine where enemies are even on the darker maps. And they do a good job with audio queues letting you know what's up ahead.

Overall Back 4 Blood is a really fun game that I would highly recommend for those familiar with this type of game, those who have played Left 4 Dead, or especially those who where just on Playstation, and have not been able to try that series because of its exclusivity.

If you wanna complain that this isn’t left 4 dead, go buy L4D and play that. There are times when facing Messi or Neymar that they can just wiggle wiggle wiggle through your defense and you can't even switch to the correct defender in time to do anything. The R stick switching is consistently inaccurate.

When I ping a ball across the pitch to switch the play, no matter the player, they will chest it down and take ages to settle the ball. By the time the ball is under control and ready to dribble, the defenders have recovered and I've lost my numbers advantage. Makes it so easy to overload ball side and trap the opponent.

R1+O passed are always too low, might as well be double tap passes. Can't even clear the head of a midget. They'll just intercept it and automatically direct it towards their goal with perfect weight and the counter is on.

When defending a corner kick, there's always one player that's standing around the halfway line to start a counter. That player is consistently the wrong option. When using Chelsea, why would I want Jorginho there? He's slow! When using Bayern, why put Gnabry there when I have Coman and Sane on the pitch? And I can't control this.

If I play a formation like 4-2-3-1 and instruct my striker to always stay forward, I don't want to see him coming back to the box to defend. I need him forward as an outlet, but he just doesn't listen, even Lewandowski and Ronaldo.

If I set a formation with a winger and am attacking through the middle, that winger will just not get involved. They stay wide on their touchline and just watch me get swarmed by defenders without providing any useful outlet or attacking runs. If I'm driving the ball up the middle with my CAM, I don't need the striker to drop back as a false nine. That's useless. He should be making himself a target, but instead drops behind the ball and doesn't go in the box at all

PSG are playing awfully in real life, but their live form doesn't indicate that. And everybody just uses PSG because of it. No gameplay variety.

This will be the last fifa I buy for a few years at least

Potential that needs a fix and fast.

They really screwed up the dynamics of this game making gameplay more cumbersome and rigid. The fluidity of the game is gone and they made PSG too powerful. Literally the same match-up everytime you play, your team VS the cheat code team. Definitely takes away from the online fun. Their matchmaking algorithm is also way off. When I was in Division 6 I was Vsing Division 1 opponents. I restrict matchmaking to similar star teams, I use 3.5 stars. Without fail, Im matched every single time with a 5* PSG team. They really need to fix this issue. Makes the game utterly unplayable for the purists.

    Nice FIFA!

In my personal opinion, this is one of the best Fifa I have played. I have been playing Fifa since 2016 and the graphics are worth it. Also, the Volta and other games modes make this game more interesting. Just one downside is that you will not be able to play online with friends on PS4.

Still setting the bar after all these years!

I have been playing the FIFA series for over a decade now, and FIFA 22 is probably the best iteration yet.

The graphics on the PS5 is absolutely wonderful, and the gameplay will provide you with hours of entertainment.

Go grab yourself a copy now!

Typical FIFA title of the last 6 years

Good game. EASports really need to revolutionize the game. Career Mode needs a major overhaul. Add new features, make it more realistic and interesting. Overall the game is good.

    Soccer

Game Review - I have never purchased a soccer game but since my son loves playing soccer I thought this was a great way to connect with him.
