This tablet isa seriously excellent product...fast,responsive & crystal clear images .i use mine for photo editing & it is outstanding for that purpose. I can't recommend this particular tablet enough
Oct 22, 2021 17:01I really love it. It's a big tablet. Sense I'm legally blind.
Oct 01, 2021 16:28Best Buy buying online is best! Easy to do and arrived in excellent condition. The Samsung Galaxy tablet is just we needed. Features are easily accessible.

All my tablets are Samsung and bought all from BestBuy. This one replaced S10.5 a great tablet that I bought in 2014 and still in a perfect condition (I still use it though). Never had any problem with any Samsung product.
I bought the 512 GB version. It’s super fast and smooth. I’m sure I won’t need any tablets until 8-10 years from now.
Oct 26, 2021 18:35I haven't had it long but so far so good, it takes some getting used to because there is no physical home button which can be annoying but it becomes second nature wit ha little practice. The screen is vibrant and smooth which will make my artwork really pop!
Nov 19, 2021 18:57First of all, the only reason I did not give this tablet 5 stars is because it is promoted as an 11-inch tablet. It isn't. The screen measures 10 inches on the diagonal, exactly the same size as my old Galaxy Tab S4. That was a disappointment, but I did not want the 12-inch Tab S7 Ultra because that just seemed too big and awkward for my needs.
That said, this is a wonderful tablet with a brilliant, crisp, colorful screen. I thought I would be disappointed that Samsung did not make this tablet with the same OLED screen as the 12-inch model. I am not the least bit disappointed in the image quality of this screen. It's hard to imagine how it could be any better.
The Snapdragon 865 processor makes this tablet blazing fast. The larger memory option of 512 GB plus the ability to add extra storage with a Micro SD card just makes it better and better.
Then there is the S Pen that comes as part of the package. You don't have to buy it separately as you would have to with an iPad Pro. This pen is fine-tipped and wonderfully sensitive. It can zero in on the finest detail.
The speakers are robust. I haven't listened to any music on this tablet yet, but news and podcasts sound clear and natural.
I do recommend this tablet highly. It is well made, fast and beautiful.
Oct 25, 2020 09:23I worried and researched and worried some more. And i talked to sales people and finally decided on Samsung Tab 7 11inch. So happy with my decision took it to mt Granddaughter's track meet took wonderful movies with ease. Its quick and long battery life. I love my decision.
Apr 23, 2021 16:31I love this tablet I bought it To replace my old Samsung Galaxy Tablet. I got it on sale it was a great price.
Nov 18, 2021 12:50Samsung - Galaxy Tab S7 - 11” - 512GB - With S Pen - Wi-Fi - Mystic Black, great tablet, bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother n law, ease of use is fantastic. would buy another one, not a fan of apple products
Jan 23, 2021 06:27Awesome tablet super fast really love using it every day
Nov 08, 2021 16:26Best tablet I've ever had. 8gb ram with 512 gb internal storage. What more can you ask? Runs smooth and is a great addition to my bedroom
Aug 07, 2021 01:41Strike a perfect balance between study time and play time with Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, the tablet designed to bring your projects to life.
I originally bought one for my wife so that she could use it with her Cricut machine. I ended up wanting to keep it for myself so I purchased another one.
The speed of the processor and the resolution are top notch. The battery life is great. Save yourself some money and just get the 64 gig S7. You can get an SD card and bump it up cheaper than buying a 128 or higher. Look elsewhere at getting your accessories also. My case with screen protector was $30.
Nov 06, 2021 09:55Great tablet! Does everything i want and more. Awesome screen quality.
Nov 19, 2021 16:15Perfect tablet .charges super fast and lasts long.very stylish and smooth
Oct 31, 2021 21:03love this tablet great price beautiful large screen perfect for youtube and movie drawing so sleek and light, switch from ipad pro 11 i had over 3 yrs cause gets hot really easy and body frame is not as strong , it bended i have to replace the first one from apple store, highly recommend for this Samsung table s7 FE
Oct 07, 2021 12:11I am an average user who just needs browsing, occasional streaming, common apps (shopping, social media, video, music, maps etc.). I also use a tablet for teaching (e-textbook and projecting materials in the classroom). I couldn't be happier with this tablet! I had an 10.2 iPad before which also worked great but with this Samsung you get a way bigger screen. I was a little bit hesitant about switching to Samsung because of the apps' performance (which is still the best on Apple products), but I was pleasantly surprised by how well the apps respond. They are not glitchy or weird looking. I would suggest installing the Nova Launcher to get bigger and nicer looking icons which have dozens of customization options . Another plus is the freedom Android system offers in terms of designing your screens.
I also like the general tone and palette better on this Samsung. Since it is not the premium model the colors are not that saturated and glossy; at the same time they are warmer and more vivid than on Apple pads. It is a natural balance and very pleasant to the eye.
The S pen is a nice addition for pointing and scrolling. I don't do any graphic design or much hand writing but I find it useful to grab the pen and take a quick note now and then. I discovered the coloring/drawing book (the "Penup" app) and it is a lot of fun to take a creative minute whenever you feel like it.
This tablet is rather "narrow" or "long" (again if comparing to the iPad), which makes it easier to use on your lap or hold in your hand, but it is something to keep in mind if you like more proportionate or square like shape.
In sum, the correlation between price and quality of this product is optimal unlike the 900$ and up premium tablets.
Kudos to Samsung for a very attractive and functional new gadget!
Sep 14, 2021 23:47Went to local Bestbuy to buy an iPad Pro 11 inch that was on sale. That wasn't in stock, so went to an iPad Air, that was also not in stock. However, next option was Samsung. I already have invested in many Samsung Products ranging from Cell phones, televisions, Blu-Ray DVD players, Washer & Dryer machines, and kitchen appliances.
I looked at the Galaxy Tab S7+ and S7 FE. And for a reasonable price, similar to my iPad 6 128 GB, the FE was a great deal. Bought this without any questions and have been using for two days now. Really love the build quality, since its similar to my Galaxy S20 FE. I really like that Samsung still offers a MicroSD card slot on this device, although I probably won't be using a lot of storage. Also I am glad that I didn't have to spend an arm and leg for the Samsung S-Pen, unlike the Apple Pencil (doesn't come included).
Nov 22, 2021 10:11I had been putting off getting a larger tablet for a while. So glad I bought this! So far it is been working like a champ and I love the fact the battery lasts.
Oct 15, 2021 16:29Absolutely one of the best purchases you can make. Expensive but well worth the money. I did not want one with cellular service as I use my phone as a hot spot. I did put a 128 sd card as with some of the movie subscriptions will allow download to view when WiFi isn't avalable.
Nov 13, 2021 12:59With the power of a PC and the mobility of a tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ Wi-Fi is your secret weapon for getting more done—wherever you are. Enjoy the advantages of a true 2-in-1 device, where an expanded keyboard(1) and built-in memory up to 256GB are backed by a battery that lasts the entire workday(2) for ultimate portability. I bought this for my mom to replace her older ipad , she loves it. It does so much that it can be intimidating, but its easy to use at that same especially for anyone already familiar with android phones. The Display is the best ive ever seen and you can add up to an extra terabyte of memory. I recommend getting the keyboard case also , not only just for the actual keyboard, but for the protection when traveling, securing the s pen and stand.
Jul 09, 2021 16:37Great product. Smooth and easy to use. The camera capability quite great consider it is a table camera. Really impressive product overall.
Dec 26, 2020 16:41Portable and easy to use, very friendly not complicated
Jan 01, 2021 20:20This tablet works awesome!! It is almost identical to my Samsung S20 Ultra in usage and format, except I actually see more items or places to activate things I hadn't seen before. Screen clarity is fresh! Movie downloads are quick and I bought the extended mini card of 250 gigs i think. Anyway, I am very please with it and recently had it on my lap on a road trip to Utah for 10 hours and even more recently for our first flight since covid stuff to Seattle and watched movies on both. Weaknesses I guess would be learning to hold right so as to not separate the magnetized screen from the keyboard. I started folding it backwards behind and that works when no flat surfaces. Thats about it, great product and great pricing. I'm 57 yo. PS. Not sure of the brand but the zip case is slick! PPS. The pen is stored inside the case nicely, but I haven't used as much so far.
Nov 06, 2020 16:34I'm giving it 3 stars because there no headphone jack. I've tried many USB-C and USB to 3.5MM jacks and none of them work on gaming headsets. They work on the little gummy earphones. It's pretty sad.
Another bad thing is the Samsung keyboard. It's the worst design ever. The Samsung Tab S4 Samsung Keyboard was way better.
The tablet is fast and the pen is just as good as the Apple Pencil. I'm returning it.
Nov 13, 2020 19:17Perfect for web browsing, making online purchases, gaming, streaming and reading/responding to emails. I got the larger screen and storage and I really love this thing. The picture quality is GREAT! The speakers in the tablet are GREAT! I shelled out a couple more bucks for a sturdier case, which was worth it. I've read some reviews saying it has drawbacks when you're trying to use it as a laptop. So far, I haven't had to use it as a laptop. It's been perfect for everything I've used it for.
Apr 30, 2021 19:08Been a long time Apple user. I really like the integration of their devices. Lately Apple's been doing some shady practices which I just can't support. That, on top of the sky high prices made this an easy choice.
At first, I tried out an iPad pro, with the extra drive space ( I like to have at least 256GB for storage and media) plus a keyboard, came out to $1,900+ That's a crazy price for a tablet. At the end of the day this thing is for emails, movies, and document work. Sure the iPad has extra power, but the day I'm cutting and rendering a 4k movie on an iPad I need to take a step back and figure out where my life went wrong. The Tab S7+ is not slow by any means. It crunches through tasks without delay. This S7+ with a Samsung Keyboard Case ( I waited until the keyboard was on sale) was less than half of the cost of a iPad pro with Apple keyboard. So the main differences?
Screen
The iPad is a bit taller and that does help document productivity, but to save over a thousand dollars I guess I'll just have to scroll more. The Samsung wins out for the deep contrast and colors of OLED. The S7+'s 12" screen is a perfect size for portability and practicality. With the factory keyboard attached it's my go to device to take with me when I need something bigger than a phone. Side Note: I also have a Samsung Book S which can use this tablet as a second screen. This should work with any windows laptop and it's very cool. Using this tablet as a second screen with my Book S, which has an always on LTE connection makes this a very competent fully mobile setup.
Software
Most of what I use is found on the Play Store, MS office suite and a few other apps that come pre-installed on the tab S7 like 'Pen Up' help me edit and sign documents on the go. You can control the window sizing and orientation so some developers who haven't updated their apps for landscape will still work on this natively widescreen orientation tablet. Speaking of which, this tablet has the camera on the top when in landscape orientation. The right way to use it on video calls especially when attached with a keyboard. BTW the camera and audio is among the best on calls.
For my use this is 50% a work device and 50% a leisure device. As a work device it's more than competent to work on documents, emails, signing contracts, etc. As a leisure device there is no reason to spend more than this, it's the best it gets for the money.
Bonus
Here's where Samsung really shines and stands out from the competition. The display and audio are top notch, you may find some that have this or that small advantage but overall the S7+ is the tablet to beat at any price. Included S Pen, having the pen and it being a good pen cannot be over stated. Even if you don't use it often, it's better to have an not need, than need it and not have. The SD Card support, The fact that my laptop can load to an SD Card and then I can pop that card into this tablet is incredible. It gives me one more point of feeling like this can handle whatever my needs will be. Many times I have to transfer files from one device to the other and this makes it a breeze. The Samsung eco system, yes they have one and this tablet can do the wireless file transfers or photo syncs like Apple can. Finally, there's Dex, let's not forget this desktop like OS they built into their devices. I just wish they wouldn't restrict it so much and let me use my laptop in Dex mode, but the Tab S7+ can be switched to use fully in Dex mode.
Improvements
Samsung has built a great device, but it's not perfect. My gripe isn't so much with the tablet (although the software experience does have some progress to make) it's mostly with the OEM keyboard I have issues. At it's price point the keyboard should be backlit and the trackpad should be much better. Perhaps even more premium materials to go with the metal and glass tablet. At least this is something the market can address. Otherwise this is a solid tablet to use for years to come.
Apr 12, 2021 17:34We got this during the pandemic to make Zoom calls more convenient and the 12 inch screen is much better than using the smaller screens from more portable tablets. We have laptops and other tablets, but battery life on this tablet is way better than a laptop battery when the camera is on (Macbook Pros only seem to last about 90 mins or less, this tablet goes for multiple hours!)
The speakers and camera are great for video conferencing, but you will want to buy a case for it since it's so thin and may be uncomfortable to hold and difficult to prop up against things for meetings. I got the Samsung book cover which attaches magnetically and holds really well, but is super easy to pop off if you want just the tablet. It has a few positions you can fold the front cover over to, so the tablet can sit more upright or more reclined, depending on table/desk height and where you are in front of the camera.
As a side bonus, I've been using the tablet as a digital whiteboard in some Zoom meetings when I want to write/draw on screen. It's so much easier using the pen instead of trying to draw with a mouse, so it has really worked out well.
When it's not being used as a video conference device or digital whiteboard, it has been a very nice device to read Kindle books on (bright screen!) or to watch streaming video on. This tablet does have expandable storage via the micro SD card slot but since I got the 256G version of the tablet, it's been able to hold more than enough downloaded Plex, Netflix, Amazon, Disney+ or Youtube videos (or all of the above) for US domestic flights, and if we ever get back to long flights to Europe or Asia, this will be a great companion.

Enjoy the advantages of a true 2-in-1 device, where an expanded keyboard¹ and built-in memory up to 512GB are backed by a battery that lasts the entire workday² for ultimate portability. With a redesigned, minimal-lag S Pen that lets you control a presentation with the tap of a finger and an expanded edge-to-edge screen³ for better streaming, gaming and video chatting, the Galaxy Tab S7 simplifies life, work and play.
I previously used the Samsung galaxy tab s6. Now, I received the new galaxy tab 7+ with keyboard, it was huge in size but yet fit perfectly in my hand and it had a keyboard with it, which was good, and better is I got tab case too. It's a great deal to get this amazing huge tab with everything for such a price. It's considerably bigger than my current tablet and very well made. In my limited use, the camera seems to be ok. I like how fast, the device is. It was smooth with a 120hZ screen refresh rate. It was buttery smooth with a big screen, I can definitely feel the difference. Taking about big things, audio on this device is worth mentioning. The four speakers available on the device provide loud and clear volume. The quality of the audio is near perfect for movies, songs, games, and series. The battery life of the device is really good. I could use this device for 10 hrs watching 3 movies. This is a workhorse. I was able to multitask like, watch videos, and check my Gmail all at the same time. There is a feature, where you can sync your phone to the tab and get all the calls and messages, just like you receive on your phone. It's a wonderful feature. I totally recommended this to people who want to use a single device with a big screen for all-purpose. This device comes with a pen that is a lot better than the old one. It fast, smooth, and easy to grip. I also got a case and keypad case. The setup was pretty simple and I was majorly using the keyboard for email and document preparation purposes. Now I stopped using my in-display keyboard altogether. It's also a very good use to cover the tab as well. The case comes with a flexible stand which I can angle the tab to my convenience while watching movies. Pros excellent display powerful speakers Good Spen design Long Battery life Performace 120HZ Smooth display Cons need Improvement in-app ecosystem expandable internal memory weight of the tab.
The keyboard is sleek and light. It covers the tablet well when closed. keyboard gets attached to the tablet easily when kept close. It helps with typing when kept on lap or table. I just don't feel a need to have a laptop when I use this tablet. It makes typing easy and carries along light when flighting or traveling. It feels like a premium brand case with easy to clean with paper or wipes. Finally, the verdict form is great, works well, feels good, works great.
Nov 09, 2020 16:52Very sheek
It’s great to multitask
I’m just having a whole bond with this tab..... my own personal bestie lol really useful
Aug 20, 2021 16:01Overall very happy with purchase. I bought device solely for gaming. It can handle any game with the highest graphics with no problem. I play allot of Call of Duty Mobile and this device out performs any other I've used with the game. Even iPad Pro. Would recommend to any gamer for sure.
Jan 24, 2021 00:27I bought this tablet for art - I draw using a keyboard and Clip Studio Paint. My main gripe with this tablet is the pen - the rubber nib wears down very quickly, especially on a matte screen protector, if you're drawing for an extended period of time. I would go through 2-3 nibs in a week. Also, the button doesn't stick out, which makes the pen look sleek but is difficult to find while I'm drawing (My remedy for this was to get a Wacom pen - the pen intended for the Wacom One. It works flawlessly, the nibs are very durable and the button is easy to feel). The magnet on the back is also not very strong nor practical for storing the tablet in my bag, as the pen would fall off and get lost, even with a case on my tablet.
The display is super vivid and bright, the colors are rich and this makes it a pleasure to color on.
It also barely heats up when I'm drawing for hours, save for a spot on the top right corner of the screen that warms up slightly. The battery will last me a few hours before I'll need to save my work and give the tablet (and my hand) a break and a charge. It's extremely responsive even when battery is at 15% and using several applications at once (pinterest, spotify, drawing program).
The speakers are pretty loud and clear although I don't use them very often except for video calls.
This tablet is extremely comparable to the Ipad Pro, I got it on Black Friday for $100 off and for that price it's a no brainer for me. I'm super happy with mine.
Sep 11, 2021 19:08Great tablet bit I switched it for the plus for bigger and higher resolution.
Apr 23, 2021 19:20My son loves his 12.4 inch tablet. He thinks it's an ipad because he is only 3 years old.
Nov 28, 2020 05:50no lap top greater. samsung is really doing the thing im proud.
Dec 12, 2020 02:53Do not buy this item!!!!!! The tablet started off great and they ended up becoming bent and it is getting worse. The top left corner is the worst I can put 11 business cards under it on a flat surface. I contacted Samsung directly and they said there is nothing they can do you damaged your tablet. This is a known issue if you search around on the internet and Samsung does not own up to defects in its manufacturing. To spend $800 on a tablet is an investment and should last longer than 6 months. The good thing is I will no longer be investing in Samsung products if they won't even honor the warranty period. I hope to speak to Best Buy and see if they can help me out even though this is not their fault.

If you are looking for best Android tablet then look no further. Buy Tab S7 or S7 Plus. These are the best tablets available on a market.
Personally I use iPad Pro and bought S7 to do my development. So for me experience on S7 not as good as on iPad Pro, but! I can confirm that S7 is almost perfect. The one problem is the apps which are not fully optimized for big screens.
With Google going back to support tablets on Android we all can expect things to be better, meanwhile even with current set of apps you can enjoy this tablet.
Dex mode is a game changer! Check my photo where I connected S7 to portable USB-C monitor (with touch support) and it is working like a laptop, but also you can use fingers! Its like you have huge tablet! You do need external power for monitor because tablet by itself won't be able to power that big 15'' inch monitor. Connect mouse and external keyboard and you will see how good it is!
Design is perfect! Very thin and very light and at same time packed with everything you need! Fingerprint sensor, face recognition and so on. Included s-Pen is very good move for Samsung. Although battery on S-Pen will die overnight if you do not connect it to the back of tablet, but even with battery empty you still can use S-Pen to draw. Power needed to gesture controls and for a button.
Even though screen is LCD it looks gorgeous! Colors are vivid and pleasant to look at.
Nov 03, 2021 16:14It's an excellent table....
I have been using this device in my work and is excellent...
Thanks so much
Nov 14, 2020 05:29I love my tablet. I haven't used the laptop or ipad as much since purchasing it. The rose gold matches my samsung ear buds, and my samsung rose gold smartwatch. It was so easy connecting all my samsung devices
Dec 03, 2020 21:45Works great but I went for the plus for the bigger and better resolution
Apr 23, 2021 19:22Great tablet, crispy graphics and capabilities, I just wish I would've gotten the s7 PLUS
Oct 02, 2020 15:49I love this Samsung tablet S7. The 11 inch size is big enough that i dont need to wear my glasses. The colors are very vivid and its just like using my phone!!! Great item
Feb 26, 2021 16:51Beautiful display! Color and clarity is excellent. Smooth, fast and responsive and the audio quality with music and voice is fantastic! The included S-Pen is just fantastic to use and very responsive as well. I had no idea I would enjoy using it this much. It costs quite a bit, but the quality is completely worth it. Great job Samsung!
Feb 19, 2021 18:31This is by far the best tablet I have owned. The screen is crystal clear tablet runs smoothly especially with 120 hertz refresh rate. Android 11 is an awesome operating system I like the fact that the tablet is very customizable. The stylus works flawlessly. I also bought the Samsung case for this tablet which is very high quality as well. I have a Samsung phone and the two integrate very well.

Nov 21, 2020 10:00This Tablet is espectacular and very precious. Samsung I Love you and your products.
Apr 28, 2021 23:21Just wanted a tablet for a bigger screen and big memory
Dec 04, 2020 15:51Awesome in every way. Long battery life, best tablet ever.
Mar 05, 2021 15:55Awesome tablet. Does so many things. Top quality. Fast, smooth, efficient, large, just a beautiful piece of equipment. I love it! Still learning more and more functions of this tablet. Beautiful pictures and videos. Beautiful screen.
Mar 07, 2021 07:06I love this tablet. Its big and beautiful. Comes with the s pen thats magnetically charged on the back. You def need a protective case to not only protect your tablet but also to keep the s pen in place when your not using it. My only complaint would be that its quite heavy in comparison to the tab S7 and earlier models. But it's expected with its size. It holds a long charge and im happy with my purchase.
Oct 24, 2020 10:17Because I do a lot of drawing and note taking, I decided to purchase this 512gb Samsung Tab S7 Plus. Although I found it very expensive over the regular Tab S7, I wanted the super Amoleod Screen and the large 12.4 inch screen.
Pros:
1) HUGE SIZE...I use this large and clear screen for taking lots of notes, writing on PDF ebooks, and drawing. Also watching videos or reading ebooks is a great experience.
2) Fastness and peppiness...Intendcto have several apps open at the save time and this tablet has adequate memory to handle this.
3) Laptop replacement...I don't use my old laptop anymore, the Tab S7 Plus is my "new laptop". I use DeX and regular modes and prefer to type using the ONSCREEN KEYBOARD. I also use Printers hare and print all of my documents using this tablet.
4) Battery Life...Since I don't play games on this tablet, I can go until late at night and not have to keep charging the tablet.
5) Love the S Pen and Air Command.
Cons:
1) Heaviness/Bulkiness of the Tablet. It's a bit heavy and super large so I purchased the genuine Samsung Book Cover. This way I can easily fit this tablet in my Business Bag or large purse.
2) The 512gb size is very expensive, however I require this because I store on the Internal lots of files.
Nov 13, 2020 11:07The first tablet ever bought, and the color is great. It is fast and if you know your way around a computer, this is so simple to use!!!!
Also bought the Sahara case to protect it because it is so thin...the terminally clumsy will appreciate the case.
Oct 31, 2021 12:40Strike a perfect balance between study time and play time with Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, the tablet designed to bring your projects to life.
Nov 06, 2021 09:55Perfect tablet .charges super fast and lasts long.very stylish and smooth
Sep 14, 2021 23:47I had been putting off getting a larger tablet for a while. So glad I bought this! So far it is been working like a champ and I love the fact the battery lasts.
Oct 15, 2021 16:29I love it. Operates very smooth and the pen works great for what I use it for.
Oct 15, 2021 15:48My wife loves her tablet. A+ Purchase. She loves the screen size and clarity.
Oct 15, 2021 16:02I'm very pleased with this product. Very portable. Love the bigger screen.
Oct 09, 2021 09:26With the power of a PC and the mobility of a tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is your secret weapon for getting more done— wherever you are.
Apr 23, 2021 19:22I love this Samsung tablet S7. The 11 inch size is big enough that i dont need to wear my glasses. The colors are very vivid and its just like using my phone!!! Great item
Feb 26, 2021 16:51Great tablet, crispy graphics and capabilities, I just wish I would've gotten the s7 PLUS
Oct 02, 2020 15:49Beautiful display!

I can do stuff like this on it so I'm pretty pumped that it does what i wanted in a tablet.
May 21, 2021 17:292/27/2021
I very rarely rate anything with 5 stars. Basically I reserve such a rating for something that's near perfect. The Samsung Tab S7 falls in that range. I am extremely pleased.
I went with the 8 Gb RAM and 256 Gb storage primarily for the additional RAM (though having 2x more storage is very nice). I did this because I have the Samsung S10+ phone, which has 8 Gb RAM and now, 2 years later, it is running just as fast as the day I got it and I am a power user, with tons of apps on the phone. So, I figured a similar pairing of a super fast CPU, with 8 Gb RAM would be good for the long haul on this device (the 128 Gbps Tab S7 has 6 Gb of RAM).
I am coming from a Apple iPad 8th generation... which in many ways was good... but extremely frustrating, given the silly locked up ecosphere of Apple and how ridiculously backward they are with file transfers. And a Lightning port... really? USB 3 is superior in every way. Then I got upset at Apple for their recent censorship of political speech. This is America, for goodness sake. We have different viewpoints and we disagree. Fine. Apple, Google, Twitter, Facebook, Amazon stop censoring us!
I've been looking at the Tab S7 for some time. Finally I sprung for it. WOW... this is one of the best pieces of technology I have ever used. And I have been using tech since the 1970's.
Performance: This tablet is far superior to any tablet Apple puts out. It is incredibly fast and with the 120 Mhz refresh rate it is "buttery smooth" as they say.
Display: While I was initially disappointed that it wasn't OLED (come on, Samsung, what's up with that?), nontheless, the LCD screen is superior, with excellent contrast. Many times I think I'm looking at an OLED screen. I can tell that it's LCD in low light video scenes, but it certainly is not bad. Note that the Tab S7+ does have OLED, but I didn't want a screen that big. I much prefer the aspect ratio of the Tab S7 and S7+ to Apple's iPads. To me, it's an excellent balance between enjoying media and getting work done (I do a lot of writing and multitasking with it). The Apple iPad Pro's aspect ratio looks ridiculous to me: it's like looking at a clunky old fashioned 4x3 TV. Part of the reason why I went with the Tab S7, along with the Samsung keyboard, is for meetings. I wanted something more subtle and compact for note taking, compared to hauling out a laptop.
Audio: Oh, WOW!, it is incredible: 4 speakers, incredible audio quality with Dolby Atmos things like videos and movies, together with the outstanding display, are incredible. Plus, having 4 speakers, no matter which orientation you are using, landscape or portrait, you always get stereo sound. Not so with the iPad with two speakers that have a silly placing at the bottom, which means if you watch multimedia in landscape mode, you have sound only on one side (that's not even mono!).
Battery life: is very good, lasting all day. Having fast charge capbility means I can get it fully recharged in about 1-1/2 hours. That blows the Apple iPad out of the water, which needs 2x as long. So, even if you need to boost the battery by 30-40%, plugging it in even for just 15-20 minutes will cover you.
Camera: both camera's, front and back, are of a very good quality. Far superior to the iPad. While the cameras may not have all the functionality of my S10+ (which is not necessary on a tablet), Samsung did not go cheap on these cameras. They are very good quality and get the job done well. One thing I rely on is taking scans with the rear-facing camera. That works great, then you can grab the S-Pen for quick markups of your image. Plus the front facing camera is placed in the middle top of landscape mode, so when you are video conferencing it looks like you are looking right at the people you are in conference with, instead your eyes off to the side with the iPad.
S-Pen: I haven't used a pen much before. But this one is very good. It is touch sensitive, so I imagine that it would work well with artists, similar to the Apple pen. I think it is fantastic that Samsung *includes* the S-Pen with the tablet. I love how Samsung does things like that, while Apple is miserly toward their customers. Plus, if you get the Samsung Keyboard, there is a neat out of the way storage solution for the pen that looks great. You never have to plug it in somewhere to charge it. Just magnetically snap it on the back and it charges from the tablet.
Keyboard: I highly recommend getting the Samsung keyboard. It offers a sharp looking slim profile and good functionality. It is a smaller keyboard than a laptop keyboard, but it doesn't take long to get used to it. The protection for the screen and back are more than adequate. However, there isn't a lot of side and corner protection, since they are exposed. You don't need to plug the keyboard in to charge or replace batteries, as it gets its charge being attached to the tablet. This is similar to what Apple does with its iPads and keyboards. For added protection when I'm out and about with the tablet, I've purchased the Insignia™ - Universal Sleeve for Most Tablets Up to 10" at BestBuy and it fits the tablet and keyboard like a glove, adding extra padding.
Software: I get super frustrated with the silly hyper-closed world of Apple. Android -- particularly Samsung -- goes to great pains to work well with the outside world and a wide range of devices. Having Samsung DeX (PC-like desktop) on the device as a built-in screen mode is awesome. I've been using DeX since the Samsung S8+, so I'm familiar with it. Being able to switch to it on a tablet makes the tablet function much more like a laptop. This functionality alone makes the Tab S7 and S7+ far superior to any Apple tablet. And I can activate it with one keypress on the Samsung keyboard. As far as the complaint that not all Android apps play well with a tablet, that's true to a degree. For the most part, I've hardly had any problem with this this. A problem that may come up is some apps not wanting to go into landscape mode. But I used a 3rd party app, to force them to go landscape and it's fine. It's less of a problem in DeX mode. I think with Samsung aggressively going after Apple in the tablet market, we should see other manufacturers getting into the tablet game more and non-comliant apps being pressured to update to work in landscape mode.
My only complaint is that I WISH this Tab S7 would work better with my Samsung phone. I can't get text messages from my Samsung phone on my Samsung tablet! And yet I can get text messages from Samsung phone on my Windows 10 laptop. I can also get text messages on my Samsung watch from my Samusng phone. But I *can't* get text messages from my Samsung S10+ on my Samsung Tab S7? Really, Samsung???? Samsung uses the excuse it's a "Verizon limitation". C'mon Samsung, man up! You are a big player in the industry... DEMAND that Verizon stop blocking such vital functionality! The one area that Apple is superior is to Samsung is their tight integrations between all their products. I thought Samsung was competing with Apple! This is one area where Samsung is deficient in their tablets.
I am so glad I purchased the Tab S7. Samsung has done an outstanding job. I know I will enjoy the power, performance and versatility of this tablet for years to come. I highly recommend it!
Feb 27, 2021 11:18I love it! The SPen works flawlessly with this tablet. I love drawing on it. The accuracy is great and it feels just about as good as drawing with pen and paper. The only problem I have is that the Spen just sticks onto it magnetically. It sticks fairly securely but I'm always afraid I'm going to knock it off. I bought a case for the tablet though and that helps secure the pen Somewhat. It sticks to a place inside the folding case. Only thing is the pen doesn't charge when it's in that slot... I rarely need to charge it though. Otherwise, I love it!!! Attached is a drawing I did on it. The only flaws in the drawing is that I'm an amateur.
Jan 28, 2021 03:48I purchased the 256GB 11" tablet with pen and the keyboard cover. My goal was replacing my laptop for travel. I am just getting acquainted with the tablet and am not technology inclined.
Thus far it is meeting my needs. I can remote in to home PC anywhere I have internet access, create word documents, and use for watching streaming channels (esp helpful when traveling with a toddler and all the books have been read, songs have been sung, "what do you see" games exhausted. I'm also going to use it for photo/scrapbooking activities snd have no concerns it will be efficient.
I'm excited to see everything it will di.
Nov 05, 2021 18:42This is a great tablet. I mainly use it for shopping on the web, reading books, watching movies and emails. I haven't used the S pen much but I think I am going to really like it. I keep my tablet in a stand so had to buy a new stand that would accommodate the SPen. I also found a cover that would hold the pen more securely on the back because I was always knocking it off the magnetic attachment. I am really glad I bought this tablet.
Jan 15, 2021 19:00My son gave me a Samsung Galaxy 3s tablet, so I used it for work. I’m a trucker and it was incredibly helpful. Works great, which is why my wife gifted me the new Samsung galaxy S7 + and it made me very happy as its newer features still surprise me to this day.
Aug 06, 2021 23:53Overall very good. It does 99% of what I wanted it to do. The only thing it doesn't seem to do well is I could not get my gopro to attach to it.
Other than that, it's got a nice solid feel to it, seems to be tolerant of moderate abuse (but get a case for it), and pretty much does for watching videos, playing games, web browsing etc.
Apr 16, 2021 15:52The tab is Excellent, beautiful and very fast, 5 of 5 points

Jan 30, 2021 21:17With the power of a PC and the mobility of a tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is your secret weapon for getting more done— wherever you are.
Jun 19, 2021 01:43Galaxy Tab A7 combines the slim, lightweight design you need, with the immersive entertainment experience you crave.
This is first name brand Tablet that I have bought and so far am very pleased with it, large screen gives crisp clear picture when watching videos or playing games. sound is clear and loud without any problems. with it being same brand as my phone I can sync them between each other so I can switch back and forth with websites or when reading
Apr 02, 2021 19:42Great service i love my samsung Galaxy Tab A7
Now i love it even more
Android 11 update YES
You should get one who is reading this
May 28, 2021 16:57Bought this tablet for a Christmas present for our daughter and she is really enjoying it. She utilizes the notification functions between the tablet and her apple devices.
Jan 05, 2021 15:19The pad has worked well so far. Did note, that with minimum apps, only 14 gigs of memory was available, so had to purchase memory card.
Jan 23, 2021 11:18Best Tablet under $200..Spund System surprisingly better than my Moms $600Ipad..Couldn't Believ it..also get Rose Color If Available
Jan 08, 2021 17:17I purchased it for my mom & she’s loving it . Android devices are Amazing as always & I’m very satisfied with the purchase .
Aug 27, 2021 15:59This is my second one. Not to much diffetent from first one. Like that
Apr 24, 2021 02:49I prefer the Samsung TabA to this Samsung TabA7.
The screen always time out whenever my baby is watching his rhymes.
But good picture quality and volume
Aug 27, 2021 21:50Browse the Iternet and stay productive with this Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablet. The Exynos processor and 4GB of RAM deliver fast performance for running multiple applications, while the rechargeable 7040 mAh battery offers hours of uptime on a single charge. This oxford gray Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablet features a slim metal design to minimize bulk.
The tablet arrived on time and when it was supposed to. I purchased the tablet as "Open Box: Excellent" and the tablet came with no scratches or marks. Noticed it was listed as a shelf display but still came in excellent shape. The tablet itself is great for note taking, small games, videos, and social media. If your looking for a tablet to game hard on, I probably wouldn't recommend this one. I am overall satisfied with this open box purchase! Will update review if anything unexpected pops up...
Feb 16, 2021 16:07Replaced my aged S4 with this S6 Lite. Great upgrade. Love the large screen, Best Buy staff was great in assisting the transfer of data. No glitches. Graphics are terrific.
Dec 11, 2020 17:01You could spend around the same amount of money on a lower end ipad, but the apple pencil itself costs $100. For $350 you are getting a well rounded tablet that is great for note taking for classes. This is not a snappy experience, nor is it buttery smooth, but that's because you are saving money here. It has great battery life and the s pen works just fine, and when you are not working, watching netflix, youtube or crunchyroll on this thing is fantastic. Great value all around.
Oct 31, 2021 23:35I got this for my daughter so she could do digital artwork. I've been really impressed with the stuff that she's been able to put out with it.
Oct 22, 2021 16:41I have no complaints about this tablet for the most part I've always had Samsung tabs and they just keep getting better and better I absolutely fell in love with the stylus and looking forward to the tab s7 I'll also add I love the color and build solid
Apr 20, 2021 07:56I love this tablet! Great quality for the sale price I got it!! Would recommend to someone looking for another device to surf the web, shop, and watch YouTube on.
Sep 10, 2021 17:48This tablet performs well and meets all my needs. I think it's versatile for daily web surfing, YouTube vids, and paying bills. One feature i really like is that i can sync my apps between this tablet and my Samsung galaxy phone.
Aug 01, 2021 18:55I absolutely love using this product. Does what I need it to do when I don't have access to use my laptop. The games I play on this device keeps me entertained for a while.
Only thing is I wish it could receive calls asked make them but otherwise it's a great wifi tablet.
Jun 22, 2021 12:57Write, sketch or surf the Internet from anywhere with this 128GB Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablet. This Oxford gray 128GB Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablet comes with a powerful 7040 mAh battery, which lasts for up to 15 hours of video playback.
I love my new Galazy Tab S6 Lite!! My previous tablet was a 7" Asus, and I simply wore it out after about 6 years of constant use. I'm finding this new one better because in that 6 years my eyes have worsened and the print on this one is so crisp and clear (and bigger, too without adding pages.) I am able to use it with my bluetooth keypad so I can respond to emails, etc without using the little keyboard -- I'm a much faster typer than "texter". I like the weight -- not too heavy to carry and fits perfect on my pillow tablet stand.
Jan 24, 2021 13:38Love this tablet. Got tired of screwing up my eyesight looking at my Note 9 and sprung for this new Tab S6 lite. Now everything I did on my phone, I can do on my tablet with the exception of making calls and texting. Can't quite seem to figure out how to connect my phone to it.
Jan 08, 2021 12:39I'm enjoying the Samsung galaxy tab 6 lite and the chiffon rose color is beautiful. I truly wish it had more RAM, but its an awesome budget tablet and I'm enjoying usage. I would highly recommend this tablet for entertainment usage, such as Netflix and Hulu, along with other social media platforms. I chose four stars because there's slight lag with my 4gb of RAM periodically, but it's a great tablet otherwise.
Jan 01, 2021 18:12Got it for my daughter on her birthday and she loves it if you have an artist in the family or are one yourself this is pretty good for them
Apr 02, 2021 15:41Great tablet for kid. Its thicker than the Samaung S6. Durable and comes with a pen
Jun 16, 2021 19:22I don't use it often but when I do I really like it.
Jul 10, 2020 16:24Fantastic tablet! It’s durable, fast, great sound and clear display! I feel like this tablet will last my son a long time and you can’t beat the price!
Sep 10, 2021 18:57I really like this tablet. Had since December & is still working perfectly. This light version doesn't have all the bells & whistles your phone has. You don't have them.
1- video, watching movies is great. The colors can't be adjusted but you don't need to. The picture is perfect. The black is perfect, Nothing distorting. Too much color can result in the black or dark parts look messed up with lines or patterns or blobs. No adjusting needed. I thought I'd miss that feature, but i don't.
2-Sound is pretty good. You can adjust that. With equalizer or simple settings set for movies, music, etc. Speakers are decently loud & in stereo. Both sides have a speaker. Sounds good.
The speed is a tad slower to play games but still decent. Just takes a few extra seconds is all.
Stylus, works fine. If you get another kind of stylus, you won't be able to access the stylus menu, shortcuts. The menu Only works with the Samsung stylus that it comes with. But you can access them in other areas. I hardly use stylus menu. Except to take screenshots. Lol. Most stylus work on this tablet. No bluetooth needed. Meaning, can't use stylus like the Note series has, no use as a remote. Again I don't need that function, i am close enough to tap screen.
Overall I'd recommend this tablet. Works well. Very well made too, just like all Samsung products are.
Best Buy is the best place to buy any electronics. They have the absolute best protection for money. If you drop it & it breaks, the Geek Squad either fixes it or replace with same or newer model. Definitely worth every cent for their service/protection plans. You want your item & money to be protected, get a protection plan.
Jul 10, 2021 23:39Strike a perfect balance between study time and play time with Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, the tablet designed to bring your projects to life.
Samsung has done it again. Being a previous Samsung Tablet owner and current owner of Ipad that is a generation or two old, this new S7 does not disappoint!
Screen and screen size really stand out here, the tab is 12.4 inches and is stunning. With a resolution of 2560x1600, its bright display is much more eye catching than my other tablets. Horizontally, watching anything streaming and especially when I take it outside on the porch at night and watch Youtube TV, it’s amazing, it blows away all my other tablet and mobile devices. The dual speakers are really clear and differentiate this from other tablets, especially streaming music. Dolby Atmos is supported in the Sound Quality and Effects under Sound in Settings. There you can turn it on auto as well as a separate setting for having it on during gaming. There is also a UHQ Upscaler that can be turned on while wearing headphones to improve the clarity of music and videos.
As far as speed and responsiveness, it is above average. Comes with the Snapdragon SM7325 processor. I got the 128GB version , it has 6GB of RAM as well. Another great feature is you can add a MicroSD card for an additional 1TB. It’s pretty snappy and I can run several things at the same time without issue but I did experience some choppiness switching between them at times. I am not sure if that is something that will improve with updates in the future. It was not a big deal but noticeable.
Battery life is above average as I have only had to charge about every other day even with medium to heavy usage several times a day. As others have stated, if you have a higher watt charger for your other Samsung devices, it will charge faster than the provided fast charger. I have no complaints for the battery life or charging as is.
Front and back cameras are fine, 5MB & 8MB respectively. They are less than the S7+ but for most usage of zoom and other video and tablet pics, they are fine and more than sufficient.
This tablet is built for creativity. While I am not the most creative person, it has sparked an interest in me with the use of the included S-pen. It worked fantastic for signing documents and I even downloaded an adult coloring book app and this was amazingly fun to use with the pen! They also include some creative apps, including promotional versions of Canva and Clip Studio. They come with a few free months prior to paying for a license. There are lots of options in Canva if you are creative and with this large, bright and beautiful screen, it will make your designs look great.
I really like the new S7 FE but again, I am a long Samsung user and love the sync ability with my S21 Ultra. I still gravitate to this vs. my other tablets.
Sep 22, 2021 19:19The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is a lightweight 12.4” Android tablet. The metal case is lightweight compared to previous tablets I’ve used. Initial setup takes a few minutes and overall isn’t that bad. So far, battery life has been good. Each day I’ve been able to stream a few YouTube videos as well as watch video through Samsung Free which is Samsung’s free video service. In addition, I checked and read email, dictated notes, browsed websites, etc. After six days I had 20% battery life left. The WQXGA display is excellent. It’s clear and sharp. Video looks amazing on the 12.4" display. As for the camera, it takes good photos, but video maxes out at FHD 30p. I would like to have seen a 4K 60p capable camera though. Responsiveness is good. I didn’t experience any lag or slow load times with applications. It comes with a stylus called the S-Pen. It attaches to the back of the tablet when you aren't using it. Having a place to attach the S-Pen is a good feature. I didn’t notice any issues when using it. Drawing and writing was smooth. In addition to marking up notes and PDFs, the S-Pen can also be used to draw on the screen when screen recording which I really like. The microphone worked great when dictating notes and the speakers are really good for a tablet. Their sound quality is excellent. So far, I’m impressed with this mid-range priced tablet. I would recommend the S7 FE to anyone looking for an Android tablet that is easy on the wallet.
Sep 19, 2021 01:29Samsung makes a variety of tablets that range from budget to budget-busting in price and specs. The Samsung Tab S7 FE falls into the upper-mid range in terms of features and price. The basics are a 12.4 inch screen, 4, 6, or 8 gigs of RAM (depending on 64, 128, or a 256 gig storage model picked), dual speakers, a mid-range Qualcomm 778G-series processor (in this WiFi model), 8mp camera (back) and 5mp camera (front), with an included passive S-pen for expanded use and options. Mine has 128 gigs of storage and 6 gigs of RAM.
At 12.4 inches, the 2560x1600 pixel TFT screen is pretty big for a tablet. It’s not a super AMOLED screen but a more basic TFT version, so you don’t get quite the same deep blacks and viewing angles as the more expensive AMOLEDs, but still, it’s pretty bright, the colors are deeply saturated, and the viewing angles are good enough. Videos looked detailed and bright, as did any apps I use on it, although I did have a couple of instances where an app like YouTube crashed and had to be reopened – hopefully future updates will fix this bug. Fixed into a metal body, it’s solid enough to hold (though again, large) but if you use a stand or holder it’s manageable for longer use times. It’s only 60hz and not the more desirable 90 or 120hz, so occasionally I see a flitter or stall but it’s not bad, but for this prince point I would have liked to see at least a 90hz screen.
The included S-pen (passive – not powered) will pull up a special menu that allows you to do a variety of things including take hand notes, draw/paint, sign documents, select areas of the screen to do a screen shot, write on the screen, and more; the pen menu pops up as an overlay on top of the regular home screen menu which looks a bit disorienting at first, but it’s usable and adjustable in settings if you dig around. The stylus is handy and easy to use with a little practice, though it does not slide up into the tablet itself. It will magnetically stick to the side, weakly, but it would be best to find a case or sleeve that has a slot to hold the pen so you don’t lose it (neither are included with the tablet). Signing documents is a breeze with it, and while drawing was quirky for me as I’m more “old school”, with practice I’ll improve.
As with many Samsung devices, the S7 FE comes with some preloaded Samsung apps that are actually handy, like the Samsung shop, a voice recorder, a free TV viewing app, and more. The dreaded “Bixby” assistant is still there, though – and out of the box, when you press the power button to hopefully power down the device, Bixby instead comes to life (you have to press that and a volume key together to power down); you can change this in settings, though. The Google Play store is of course, also available.
The Octa-Core 778G-series processor is good for all basics and many games that aren’t top-demanding. You can run a few apps at the same time so long as they’re not super-charged and can run up to three at one time without seeing major hiccups. The dual speakers are pretty good and offer Dolby Atmos quality; I probably won’t use it to power my music at a large party, but for personal use it’s fine, and connects well via Bluetooth to Samsung buds and other wireless speakers (there’s no headphone jack – frown). The 8mp back camera is good enough, lacking a little in the dynamic range department but not bad by any means. The 5mp front facing camera is also more than good enough for Zoom or Duo calls and offers plenty of details in decent to good light, for that purpose, and 3 mics give decent recorded sound. USB-C charging is up to date, but you get a weaker charger with it, so expect around 3 or so hours, give or take, to fully charge the 10,090 mah battery, but it can handle much faster chargers if you own one. Claims of 11 hours of battery life depend on use, screen brightness, etc… I have averaged around 9 or so hours with the way I use it. It comes with Android 11 out of the box, and is available in “Mystic” Black, Silver, Green, or Pink. I have the Black – I’m dull, but like that the best and it looks more pro that way.
Ok, so, would I invest in a keyboard case and make this a “laptop replacement”? For me? Probably not because once you add the extra cost of a keyboard case to it (the Samsung runs around $150 and up), you’re past the price point of a good, dedicated laptop. At the suggested retail price ($599 U.S.) to me it’s a bit up there considering the concessions made on the screen and processor, but again, unlike other brands, it does include the S-Pen. For media consumption… movies, magazine/comic reading, and social media, it works great. It’s ok for office functions when used with a stand and external keyboard if you have them around. The holiday season is fast approaching again, so overall I still recommend it, especially considering expected holiday sales.
Sep 16, 2021 00:18I had some doubt before buying since they only came up with it right after 5g model. But this is great tab you can get with that price. Great for watching movies or write notes.
Nov 19, 2021 18:51Awesome tablet! Everything i was looking for and more.
Nov 19, 2021 16:13The Galaxy S7 Tablet FE, whose predecessor is the Galaxy Tab S7, is a solid choice for functionality, as well as offering the power to multi-task and still have time to play while engaging with other apps.
The Pros:
S Pen
Fast Processor
Long Battery life
Multiple Device Connections
Expandable Storage
The Cons:
Screen Display
S Pen Housing/Magnetic Functions
Other functions missing
First, I want to say how functional and easy it is to use the S Pen. The S Pen is weighted, bold, and yet easy to use while writing on the screen and taking notes. The S Pen does feel comfortable, and the functionality of erasing by pressing a button towards the writing tip of the pen makes taking notes and quick erasing painless (rather than having to select the erase tool from a menu). While using a drawing app to trace and color in already made cartoon images, the S Pen was smooth and precise, making sketching on the screen tolerable and fun. The Galaxy S7 FE utilizes a Qualcomm Octa-Core processor, which is quick, yet it allows me to multi-task between opening multiple windows (some "in-screen" apps such as YouTube) and not losing a beat in terms of lagging or stalling. Plus, I was sketching, listening to music, and writing emails while switching back and forth. Again, no issues to report as everything I was doing seemed seamless. I will add that its predecessor, the S7 tablet, utilizes the same type of processor.
On a full charge, I was able to use the S7 FE for multiple days (three to be exact against countless hours) while using it for note-taking, emails, and other miscellaneous tasks before I had to recharge the tablet. I was impressed with how long the battery life was. Especially since most of the time, I was listening to music while working on the tablet with a minimum of 50% screen brightness. Additionally, the S7 FE connected seamlessly to my Galaxy Note 10+. I specifically shared photos from my phone to the S7 FE via a "quick share" connection. Again, a bonus if someone is trying to share notes they took on their phone (or tablet). Yet, the S7 FE does not contain a robust storage capacity (128 GB of storage). You do have the option to install a micro SD card (up to 1TB) to expand storage (which seriously lacks on other tablets; I am looking at you, Apple).
Unfortunately, the S7 FE does contain some flaws. The S7 FE boasts a 12.4" screen, which is great...except for the screen resolution. Compared to its predecessor, the S7, the screen resolution is 2560x1600. Likewise, it contains a TFT LCD. Compared to the S7, which uses AMOLED technology, the picture (while watching videos specifically) is not as bright, vivid, and colorful. Since the S Pen is functional, one of its flaws is the magnet that allows the pen to connect to either the back of the tablet or, if you are working and need a place to store it quickly, to the top of the screen horizontally. The issue with the S Pen connecting to the top of the screen horizontally is, it does not completely "stick," and a sudden movement from the user will dislodge the S Pen. Although a bold idea, theoretically, it was not well thought out. Also, I would advise purchasing a separate case that helps hold the S Pen in place. Lastly, and not necessarily a deal-breaker, the S7 FE only allows a pin to unlock the screen. Whereas the S7 also provides a fingerprint sensor option to unlock the screen from sleep.
Overall, the S7 FE is a light version of its S7 predecessor. It offers functionality while providing a fast processor for those who work and play at the same time. I would definitely recommend based on its performance and feasibility.
Sep 17, 2021 19:17if you're the artistic type, or tend to run around needing to take down notes, this is a great device for you. While i can't draw myself, the s-pen feels and works really well. My kids and i can effortlessly doodle with accuracy and smoothness. The pen can pull up a menu on the side where you can draw, take notes, screenshot and draw on so its great for presentations or meetings where you may need to capture something and put footnotes
the 12.4" display is really nice, streaming youtube/netflix/etc, the image is crisp, smooth and bright. The colours are excellent. I have a folding stand that allows multiple angles and viewing looks good from each one
with 128GB of storage you won't be running low anytime soon, though if you are a power user, there is a microSD slot so you can expand.
the body is a nice solid metal which feels quite sturdy and solid. because its so elegant and smooth, you'll definitely want to invest in some kind of case to not only protect it, but make it easier to hold. It's definitely a big one.
for the more casual user that just wants to browse the internet and watch some movies, unless you need the large display to see better, this may be overkill. Especially, if you're thinking of it as a laptop replacement when you factor in the separate keyboard.
But if you're more out and about and need to be able to have power on the go, as a digital artist this could be a great companion for taking your craft out and a about. Likewise if you're in a position where you've got a constant run around or you're a scribbler that constantly needs to take notes or get out ideas out, this makes it very easy.
Sep 16, 2021 08:40About a year ago I got sick of the endless loop of buying cheapo tablets, having them work great for a few weeks and then either breaking, mysteriously slowing down or failing to be updated to the latest version of Android. I decided I’d spend a little more and buy a known brand, which led me to my first Samsung tablet – the A7. What a difference. And for all the money I’d wasted buying the off brands, I probably could have purchased two A7s!
So, when the Samsung S7 FE edition became available, I jumped at the chance. After all, it was everything my A7 was, but better and bigger. And it does not disappoint…well mostly, but I’ll address my one big disappointment later.
The screen on the S7FE is beautiful, sharp, and vivid. And as I’m getting older, I really appreciate the larger screen that makes everything easier to read. I participate in a lot of forums, read a lot of news sources and the 12.4-inch screen really makes it a joy to use. Ditto the aluminum unibody design, which looks sharp and feels high quality. It’s comfortable to hold, even for long sessions and the controls are logically placed. It has incredible battery life too, thanks to the 10090mAh battery. I really haven’t seen the battery go lower than 89% in the time that I’ve been using it and even if I forget to charge it overnight, I’m still good to go in the morning. It’s fast and fluid, whether launching an app or moving between apps.
I also like the features that OneUI and my Samsung Account bring to the table. Because I set up my account with Samsung and enabled regular backups on my A7, when I first set up the S7 FE I was able to have everything up and running in a short time. All my apps on the A7 were installed for me and even better, my home screens were setup just like they were on the older tablet. OneUI is one of the best third-party Android ‘shells’ out there in terms of navigation and customization options. It eliminated my need to either root the device or find a home screen replacement as it does everything the stock Android system and then some.
I tried DeX with a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo I had laying around and, in my opinion, it is much easier to work with than a Chrome OS desktop. I just wish that the S7 FE keyboard case was available at a more reasonable price. I mostly use the onscreen keyboard (I’ve become adept at using the sliding type method) so I’ll probably wait it out and see if it comes down in price. I ended up getting a rubberized wrap around case which has a small compartment to hold the stylus.
Speaking of the stylus, while I’ve seen some complaints over the replacement of the S7+ active stylus for the FE’s passive one, I don’t have a problem with it. I think it would have raised the price and a most of the intended audience for the FE aren’t really going to miss it. I found the passive stylus quite good and have used it for sketching and drawing diagrams. It even worked well with handwriting recognition, though I find this method of input a little less efficient than the slide keyboard.
Where I think Samsung really made a mistake was with the charger. The S7 FE is capable of 45-watt fast charging like their flagship models, but the FE comes with an anemic 15-watt charger. For the price of the FE, I can accept them not bundling the keyboard case or including the active S-pen but there is no excuse for not including the fast charger in the box. The price differential between the two is so little that it almost feels like a money grab to not include it. Yes, the battery life is awesome, and you don’t have to charge it as often but there is no reason they couldn’t have included it in the package.
Overall, I’m super happy with the FE and it’s become my new daily driver leaving me with a decision on what to do with my old A7. It’s still a great smaller tab so putting it away or getting rid of it seems ridiculous. I’ll probably repurpose it as a dashboard for my home automation system. But I can’t imagine using it on a regular basis anymore since the S7 FE is such a pleasure to use!
The FE in the model stands for “Fan Edition” and once you use it, you can see why. I truly am a Samsung tablet fan and would highly recommend it. I just wish that Samsung had really cared enough about their “fans” and included the 45-watt charger.
Oct 02, 2021 10:21Take entertainment on the go with this Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1-inch tablet. The ultra-widescreen Full HD display and surround sound deliver an immersive multimedia experience, and the battery lasts for up to 10 hours for decreased charging requirements. Use the microSD slot on this Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1-inch tablet to add up to 512GB of storage space.
I bought one of these for the last time it was for $180. Got $60 for my 2016 Galaxy Tab A that was getting really sluggish and had a light bleed on the top right of the screen. For the most part, I'm really happy with this tablet. I won't do iPad's cause of the aspect ratio for videos. I mainly use mine for checking feeds on in the morning, having a game on it while I have something else on the TV, and for movies & TV shows when I travel (remember that?). I've tried Amazon Fire Tablets twice now, and returned both. Even though you can install Google Play on it for other apps to make it useful, the eco system sucks. What they should do is put Alexa over a pure Android tablet and not worry about their own echo system. I was worried about the 2GB at first, but decided to try it out. It's lighter then my old 2016 Tab A, and I like that. I could easily read one hand with it and the case I bought for it. Like the USB-C charging, much improvement over fighting with the cable on my old one. Everything else for the most part is pretty snappy. Opening, closing, switching between apps is a breeze. The only time I feel it be a little sluggish is when I'm rotating the screen from landscape to portrait or vice versa. But I don't do that too often switching between them (it's usually in one or the other for a long period of time) so it's not that big of a deal. Other then that it's great. Love the aspect ratio, full Google Play store/services, screen is great. Don't think you can find a better tablet for $180. Do yourself a favor and spend a bit more to get this over the budget tablets. Both the case and the cables I bought the writing is backwards on them haha.
Oct 02, 2020 16:02I didn't know if I'd use a tablet much, so I started smaller with an Amazon HD8. Enjoyed it...used it, traveled with it, and mated it to a Logitech keyboard with slot to hold the tablet. After a couple of years, it was evident I was using the tablet, and this new model of Samsung came out.
Out of the box, the silver case was great, and the first-time turning it on convinced me that watching video was going to be much improved over the smaller former unit, and it WAS. The display is crisp and has an outdoor mode which I've not tried yet.
Sound is very acceptable for a device of this size through two speakers at the "bottom" (narrow) side of the unit.
It easily paired with the Logitech K480 keyboard and an off-brand mouse for use like a computer when sitting in the keyboard, and to my surprise, by adding a USB-C to USB standard adapter, (Pair shown in pictures) it instantly recognized a USB microphone for use with a multitrack recording app I had installed. Will be excellent for interviews.
I've not gotten all the settings the way I want yet as far as the "behind the scenes" go, but it's guiding me, letting me know wht apps drain the battery, what ones can be shut down for non-use after "X" time and more.
Bought a clear rubber protector for the body (shown in pics) and bought a glass screen protector, both aftermarket, both fit as they should. Even with the rubber-ish protector around the unit it still fits nicely in the keyboard slot of the Logitech unit.
Excellent for taking along where full PC is not needed camera is acceptable for average photography, and it performed nicely with video chatting.
Hoping to enjoy this Samsung for quite a long time.
Dec 27, 2019 15:58The Samsung Tab A 10.1 is the perfect tablet. Purchased the Unicorn BEETUE as my case, it's a complete enclosure for this tablet. You do not have to buy a screen cover with this case. Has a pullout stand in back. Perfect if you have children using it also.
Dec 29, 2019 12:24This tablet is easy to use, long battery life and just what I needed to use for playing games and keeping up with my fb friends. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a good tablet without breaking the bank.
Nov 22, 2019 16:52Easy to use and large screen is great for playing online games, surfing the net, or social media. Mine came with a free case that has an attached blue tooth technology keyboard which makes the pad seem like a mini lap top. I love it.
Aug 22, 2020 16:56I bought it for taking videos of my husband singing and playing guitar and the picture and sound have surpassed my expectations ! I absolutely love this tablet ! The pics are a random pic of my living room and "LP" a singer/song writer for some perspective on the quality of the photos it takes.
Jun 26, 2020 17:03Amazingly quick although it's not a high end iPad. Love the classic galaxy setup. I should've gotten one with bigger memory but can always pop in an sdcard.
I ended up giving one to my dad and he loves it too!
Feb 13, 2020 03:03Very nice Tablet. Light weight. Definitely needs a cover for protection. I use it for games, facebook, check my email and surfing the internet.
May 10, 2019 16:06Strike a perfect balance between study time and play time with Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, the tablet designed to bring your projects to life.
Sep 16, 2021 00:18The Galaxy S7 Tablet FE, whose predecessor is the Galaxy Tab S7, is a solid choice for functionality, as well as offering the power to multi-task and still have time to play while engaging with other apps.
The Pros:

Oct 02, 2021 10:21The first thing you notice with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is its size. The 12.4", 2560x1600 LCD screen is vast, surrounded by thin bezels which only serve to enhance the screen's dimensions. It pushes the limits of ergonomics with its size, but if you can transport/use such a large screen, the device offers a lot.
The tablet might be best described as upper-midrange, with the screen as the main attraction. It gets Samsung's useful S-pen, but not the Bluetooth version, so no extras like a shutter button. The screen is sharp and bright, but is a 60Hz LCD, unlike the Super AMOLED 120Hz screen on the Tab S7+. The processor is a Qualcomm SM7325, a 8-core chip aimed more at the midrange versus the 800-series chips, and it's paired with respectable but not jaw-dropping 6 gigs of RAM.
In everyday usage, however, those differences from the flagship probably won't mean that much for most people. It's very fast and responsive, and the screen is a genuine pleasure to read on (I've found it wonderful for ebooks). No, it's not as buttery smooth as my high-refresh rate Galaxy S20+ phone, but that also means the screen isn't eating up as much battery life. With a monstrous 10090mAh battery, the run time is wonderful. You'll easily get all day usage out of it. The included charger supports rapid charging, but if you have a higher wattage Samsung charger, it will support even faster charging.
There's a wide angle camera and a front-facing, but the front-facing camera is oriented for horizontal usage, like a laptop, not along the top like a phone. The tablet supports face recognition and it's reasonably fast/accurate. I would have liked a fingerprint reader as an additional biometric option.
Samsung equips this tablet with a healthy 128GB of storage, and thankfully retains the microSD card slot for more, up to 1TB. The slot is located along the side and is easily accessed with the included tool--adding a 256GB card was simple. This is a great device for media consumption, so the storage expansion is a welcome continuation even if other features, like the rapidly disappearing headphone jack, are gone.
The biggest issue with this is software, and it's a problem common to all Android tablets. Simply, Android is still not as well adapted to the tablet form factor as it is the phone. There have been strides towards this, but you will still across apps that feel like giant phone apps. Samsung, to their credit, have addressed this issue to an extent with DeX, which turns the Android interface into something very much like a ChromeOS desktop, and which definitely leverages the large screen size. I like the idea of DeX, but probably wouldn't use it personally for much (and I will say this tablet is worthwhile regardless of DeX). The key to getting the most out of the DeX mode is the separately sold keyboard cover, which is not cheap but would turn this into a full-fledged mobile productivity device.
In the past, Android tablets have often been neglected with regards to updates. But I was pleased to have been offered a couple of updates after just a week of usage, and my Android 11 security patch is the August one (writing in mid-September). Not bad at all!
Overall, this is a solid offering from Samsung. You get a lot for the money. The giant screen is amazing to use, performance is snappy, and there's plenty of storage. If you're inclined to use this for more than media consumption, Samsung's DeX gives a desktop interface that gives ChromeOS-like usability, helping to move beyond some of the limitations of the Android OS in tablet form. The inclusion of the (helpfully magnetic) S-pen furthers that capability, useful for notetaking, drawing, or just for interactions on screen. The large size is takes some getting used to--think about getting a protective case--but I'm not sure I'd want a smaller tablet, having used this. This will be my new go-to device for traveling, because it can do everything I need on the go. Recommended for most people, highly recommended for some niche uses.
Sep 19, 2021 21:45It's been years since I've owned Android on a Samsung product. Boy have I missed it. It comes with a free TV app very similar to Pluto. Also some free podcasts, free Taboola news and free Instant Plays. It is pretty fast and the battery life is good. I left it on for 7 hours but with the screen off and it only got down to 93%. I installed an update and it only took 4 minutes. It will recognize your face to login. The screen is very bright and just the right size to enjoy any Streaming apps like Netflix. The speakers are on both edges and use Dolby Atmos for a good listening experience. Takes great pictures and then you can use the stylus pen to draw on them. Comes with the Penup app for creative drawing and the pen performs just like you were using a pencil. You can also write and it will turn your writing into text. The pen attaches magnetically to the back. Not sure if I like that yet as it could easily be knocked off or feel like it is in the way. I've been waiting a long time to try Samsung DEX and it is great. It gives the feeling just like a computer experience. I hooked it up by USB-C to my Samsung display and the tablet will turn into a touchpad to use for scrolling or typing. It will open 3 apps at one time which you can customize how they look. You can also sync your account up with Microsoft to use Office, OneDrive and Outlook. So this performs better than my other PC. If you have a phone and Galaxy buds, you can move websites or text from one device to the other. If you get a call while watching a video, the buds will connect to your phone and then switch back to the tablet when you end the call. The tablet however doesn't come with a keyboard and the charger they provide is not the faster 45W. You will have to purchase those separately. Overall, this is a great tablet that is not as expensive as the other and performs almost as well if not better in some areas.
Sep 17, 2021 11:59Galaxy Tab A7 combines the slim, lightweight design you need, with the immersive entertainment experience you crave. The ultra-widescreen display draws you in to movies and shows while Dolby Atmos surround sound speakers place you in the center of the action. Video calls via the landscape-oriented, front-facing camera help you feel as if you’re in the same room with family and friends. And the fast processor, long-lasting battery and robust built-in storage let you enjoy more of the streaming, browsing, music and photos you love.
I've always liked the Galaxy tablets. I bought the A7 64GB to sort of replace my older Tab A which has a cracked screen(my fault, twice). I still use my Tab A for certain things because it still works.
The A7 is phenomenal with the speaker setup. The tablet is meant to be used in landscape mode because the speakers(4 of them) are on the left and right side in landscape mode or top and bottom in portrait mode. The picture is beautiful and sound is great. The best part is that I got this at Best Buy as an open-box like new and shipped for free to my house for less than the price of the 32GB model. When it arrived it was in brand new condition. All the paperwork, charger and cords in a shrink wrapped Samsung Galaxy box like I just bought it new right out of the store! Why buy an apple when you can own the Galaxy.
Apr 16, 2021 15:21I absolutely love it! I purchased the 64GB. Compared to the EXTREMLY expensive iPad, it has the smaller screen size. However, It does exactly what I purchased it for! Entertainment, and functionality, around my other Samsung devices. Especially, connecting subscription apps, To the T.V., (Samsung 55'' 7 Series, 7300.) This one, is strictly wi-fi. The resolution is fantastic. The battery, is fantastic. As far as I am concerned, It's a decent purchase! I also, purchased the Casebot protective case. BIG IMPROVEMENT. The tablet, by itself seems VERY vulnerable, if dropped, hence, the durability rating. Purchase a case!
Sep 11, 2021 04:05I absolutely love this tablet A7, my husband got the Samsung Tab S7 but I didnt want to spend that much so we foind this one and its perfect for me. I pay bulls on it and watch videos, video chat with friends and chwck my Social media accounts its great! I got a otterbox case for it to protect it.
May 19, 2021 10:03For me an excellent tablet to operate considering I have a iPad ? I the option of having a way to add more storage once again considering not able easily add storage to my iPad !
Mar 13, 2021 01:37I had another Samsung tablet before and I'm very happy with, so I got another.
Apr 02, 2021 19:07You can't move apps to an SD card but you can download from the internet to the SD card. You can download movies from apps like Disney so they can be watched offline. The only app I can't do this with is Netflix, it has to use the internal storage. Any pictures or videos in kids mode can be saved to an SD card. There is a fast charge option that you can select but when I use my chargers (even the charger included) it greys out the fast charge option. It uses the regular charge only and it says 3 hours till full charge when it's at 50%. After researching I found that some can get a full charge within 1.5-2 hours if they use a 25W or 45W fast charger. I have an Anker portable battery pack that can fast charge any device I have except this one. Fast charge technology has been out on older, smaller phones for years now so I'm not sure why Samsung left it out.
Oct 25, 2021 18:36Great gaming device also color contrast was good works online real goodI would refer it to a friend
Mar 27, 2021 04:18My son luv it ,so do I. Gud quality.i wil buy it again as a gift
Dec 26, 2020 13:55Meet the device your whole family will love: Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, the tablet that's made to be shared. With its compact 8.7" screen, Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is perfectly sized for entertainment on the go. Its sturdy metal frame is built to be brought along from the living room to your beach vacation, or wherever you want to take it. Galaxy Tab A7 Lite comes with access to hours of ad-free YouTube Premium and Samsung TV at no extra charge so you can keep the family happy without annoying interruptions. Plus, with a powerful processor for fast streaming and plenty of storage for your favorite files, Galaxy Tab A7 Lite simplifies entertainment needs for everyone under your roof.
Great quality holds a lot of games. Not too big not too small of a screen. Just love it
Sep 05, 2021 00:20Love this little tablet. Other than the Amazon Fire tablets, not a lot of sub-10-inch tablets out there. I have the Samsung S7 too and it's great, but kinda big, clunky, and heavy for reading in bed. You're probably not going to get much hardcore gaming done on this A7 Lite, but it's great for casual reading, movie streaming, web surfing, etc. Great price too!
Aug 06, 2021 15:52It is a good tablet but the screen is VERY fragile. I had a case with reinforced corners and a glass screen protector. My tablet took a little tumble off the arm of the couch and the corner of the screen cracked! Other than that, I’m happy with it.
Sep 10, 2021 18:50I primarily do most web browsing and quick lookups on my phone these days so ditched my old 4G tablet and when I upgraded went with this wi-fi tablet. Screen resolution is great, responsiveness is a little sluggish at times, but not irritatingly so. If this were my first tablet, I probably wouldn't even notice. I haven't used it much since purchasing, so can't speak to battery life, etc but I've been a loyal Samsung user for about a decade now (phones, tablets, tv's) and the build quality of this device is consistent with my previous devices.
Aug 13, 2021 15:29I've only had this device for a few days, but I feel very strongly about it.
The good:
- Build Quality
- Battery Life
- Price
The Bad:
- A bit on the slow side. There's a bit of delay when launching apps, and graphically heavy applications can be a bit laggy.
- Comes with a charging brick, but is not a fast charger even though the device is capable of fast charging. (not a total deal breaker at the price point)
Overall, I like this device, and it's great for productivity around the house while I work from home and don't necessarily need to be at the desk as it comes with O365 and Outlook. It makes document review and note taking a breeze if I just want to enjoy any reprieve from the desk I can get. But that's about where it stops being enjoyable to use, your smart phone will likely be leagues faster in most applications than this device - to say nothing of this device's terrible camera quality and low (not terrible, but not great) screen resolution. It's a good device for the price, but you're still getting about what you pay for.
Oct 29, 2021 20:49I bought this tablet intended for media consumption. Which it does extremely well, from my use I was averaging 2-3 days on a single charge with about 6-7 hours of screen on time which doesn't sound like allot but you have to take into consideration the size of the device, at a measly 366 g it is the perfect device to take with you if you move out and about allot, it is light and easy to hold which makes it amazing for when you are on the go. I did try and run a couple of apps and it can handle light gaming and social media scrolling but I did notice it stuttered a bit when I tried to go through discord. It is also surprisingly well built for the price with an all metallic back but I still decided to get a case for it. Overall its a great device and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a tablet they can take on the go. I would however go for a bigger storage model as I did have to buy a micro sd card to upgrade it and you would get more RAM.
Oct 14, 2021 15:31It's a nice little tablet that we are using as a remote control for the entire house. It's pretty darn good. I was looking for a stereo for the kitchen that I could play podcasts on. We had a decent Sony, but last year when I got my new phone I lost the ability to use the audio-in to the Sony when I purchased a new phone. I wanted needed either Bluetooth or wifi. Both came with Sonos speaker. Now I can play podcasts or anything else using the wifi and Sonos App or Spotify/Pandora/you-name-it. Slapped a wireless charger on the back, put a slim cover on the tablet, now it's like a big, well kinda like, phone. It runs everthing I used to control from my phone, except phone calls.
Oct 10, 2021 04:27Purchased this Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite in 8.7" because my son shattered the glass and LCD Screen on his iPad mini. For the cost of fixing the iPad mini, this was a much better option. Was hesitant at first because he has been using iOS but transitioned to Android was very easy. He loves it. Works very well. Screen size is not too big and not too small. Light in weight but very durable. Love the capability of expansion via MicroSD Card. The only downfall is the battery. Have to charge more frequently vs the iPad mini.
Oct 30, 2021 07:41Stay productive and entertained with this 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet. The 8-inch 1280 x 800 touchscreen provides an immersive entertainment experience, and the powerful battery offers up to 13 hours of viewing per charge. This Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet has a 2.0GHz processor that makes resource-intensive applications run smoothly.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A is the perfect sized tablet for lounging in bed & reading a book, playing games, watching movies, checking email, etc. I love the option of adding a micro SD card to increase storage space. The android OS is perfect & has all of my favorite apps! I would highly recommend the Samsung Galaxy Tab A for anyone looking for a perfectly sized tablet, that’s reasonably priced with all of the great features one would want from a tablet.
Mar 27, 2020 22:29(Cyan tablet case not included)
Looking for an alternative to the bloatware infested Fire Tablets that Amazon offers did not take long when I found this Samsung Tab. I didn't need the latest version because it was only being used for downloaded content and a drawing app.
Extremely easy setup, impressive durability under a toddler's stomping and enough volume to please my son without blowing out his ears, I've been very happy with the tablet. Beware, even with fast charging supplies, it still takes about 6-9 hours for a full charge from 0%. It lasts about 2 days with video streaming and sound being used.
It does take a long time to startup and reset but thats what 3 GB of RAM and no SSD does. My son can learn to be patient so I don't mind as much.
Aug 30, 2021 10:23We had got this tablet last year and bought it at 160.00 but recently it had broke so we were extremely happy that we found the same tablet which my daughter loved at 99.00 , we had got it on time and were happy about overall experience with best buy
Jan 29, 2021 15:51This is my second pair for my second kid, based on my previous experience with this tablet I bought it again.
Sep 19, 2020 09:59I had another tablet before, which wasn't as good as this tablet, i love it, well pleased with my purchased.
May 29, 2020 16:39The tablet overall is great. It has great battery life, great performance, and it has a nice display. The screen is just a little weak.
Dec 29, 2020 15:43great device is quiet an upgrade from my previous tablet also samsung.
Sep 12, 2020 10:12I LOVE IT!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
I use it in my home office as a second monitor. It was originally purchased because my new laptop had not arrived and I needed a devise ASAP to video conference wirh my new job. So I went and purchased it 8n the morning amd 20 minutes later I was ZOOM'ing with the Team!
Jan 29, 2021 16:28Samsung Kids Galaxy Tab E Lite: Encourage imagination and learning with the Samsung Kids Tab E Lite. An integrated bumper case protects this device from drops and falls, and parental controls let you limit the time your little ones can play. With apps from Dreamworks, Sesame Street and National Geographic, the Samsung Kids Tab E Lite makes learning fun.
At first skeptical about buying this but after i opened and set it up I love the battery life is great the price is good as well. It comes with a nice silicone sleeve, even though this is a kids tablet it can be used for an adult as well. Great purchase
Jan 18, 2017 18:29My toddler calls it his phone because he would always play on our phones. He loves it! I really don't care for the case on it. It is loose and tends to come off the sides.
Feb 13, 2017 16:35The camera sucks but they work great. Hate the kids app!
Dec 01, 2017 16:41It was a gift and the girls loved the tablet. They can't put it down
Jun 30, 2017 19:07I really love it, my son play , watch videos and lot more
Dec 30, 2016 18:16Really good tablet until it fell off couch and screen shattered with the case on it. It fell face down. Any one know were I can get a new digitizer and lcd screen?
Feb 22, 2020 19:07Great customer service Highly recommended for a friend..
Dec 15, 2017 20:11Within two months the screen cracked with a light drop. No wonder it's on sale for half the price. Samsung customer service was terrible was on hold waiting for a case manager for and hour and finally hung up. Amazon makes shatterproof screen. I bought this two months ago. I'm so angry.
Mar 13, 2020 11:04Meet the device your whole family will love: Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, the tablet that's made to be shared. The Samsung A7 Lite is a very good tablet for the price point however it has some annoying flaws. I purchased mainly to read via Kindle app, play a few games, web browsing and shopping. This tablet doesn't do really any of that well. I Purchased to replace a Samsung Tab A 8inch that is several years old Also have a Samsung TabA 9.7inch
Picture
left TabA 8in 16g 2018
Center Tab A7 lite 64g 2021
Right TabA 9.7in 16g 2017
All in otterbox defender case so they do look a bit bigger than they really are.
Cons
1. Amazon shopping app is not available in google play or Samsung store you must shop Amazon in a web browser. Google just says app is not compatible with your device? No idea why. I was able to get Amazon for tablets from Google play store to install but the app is no very good. The Kindle, Audible, Prime video, and Amazon music apps all work fine.
2. There is no adjustment for screen sensitivity for a screen protector. I'm using an otterbox defender case. This is very annoying!
3. Screen doesn't darken enough even with blue light filter to be comfortable for reading in the dark. I may return it due to this as my #1 use for a tablet is reading in bed.
4. The screen sucks. I mean I read the specs before I ordered it. But its way worse than imagined it would be. It is fine for most things in low resolution like reading or web browsing. However when viewing pictures they are really grainy and you can't zoom in, it just gets blurry. UHD video in a no go SD almost HD quality.
5. The camera is fine for video calling but not good enough for taking pictures or videos of say a child's birthday or something. I just used my phone camera it's way better even though it is really old.
6. Games are okay. With Quick loading and smooth operation until you apply a screen protector then the sensitivity is gone. It is fine for some games like Simpsons trapped out but not anything that requires timing or precision. With a screen protector its like flappy bird level frustrating trying to play anything like that. Even basic apps like tapping to turn pages in Kindle are annoying.
Pros
1. Storage in a small tablet is what I wanted. Be sure to get the 64GB not the 32GB. 12GB are just the operating system. Just like every other Samsung you Can Not store apps on the SD card only the photos videos and documents, I believe. The memory is expandable with a SD card slot on left hand side near the top. Since the screen display and camera suck I won't be using an SD card for photo storage anyway.
2. Size it is a little bit more narrow than I'm used to. It took a bit of adjustment but the screen is big enough to do everything. About the size of a book. Being narrow as it is I can securely carry with one hand with fingers on both sides. It Fits in my purse or large coat pockets. The A7 lite is actually really light so there is no strain holding for long periods to read.
3. Headphone jack because my Bluetooth is always dead
Pros vs older Tab A 8inch
Blue light filter no need for another app.
Pop out side panel to access apps just like phone. Ring app or need to add something to shopping list just a quick slide swipe and they are right there no hunting for the apps.
Mainly this tablet is just okay. The battery is fine and I like the size. But without screen sensitivity adjustment it becomes annoying and difficult to use once in a case with screen protector. The display lighting controls are difficult to use with no quick adjustment slider bar. The display doesn't get dim enough to read in the dark comfortably. As Amazon shopping, on the go and night reading in bed, are my main uses for this tablet. I may return, I'm not sure yet. If you want a small tablet and don't need a screen protector or read in the dark the A7 lite is great. I choose the A7 over Tab A 8inch 64g because there is not an otterbox or any rugged case for the new 8in model.
I was not paid for my review I purchased from best buy Oct 2021 on sale for $129.99. I simply did alot of back and forth looking for a good but small (not apple) tablet under $300. I wanted 64GB+ in storage 3GB+ on memory and a solid case with screen protection available. I normally use otterbox or urban armor gear cases to protect my samsung devices.
Overall I'm pretty disappointed in the A7 light it looks great on the specs is a nice size but has so many flaws.
Nov 04, 2021 17:33Okay, let me preface this review by stating that I also own a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S6, Galaxy A32 5G, and a Kindle Fire HD 8 (2020 Model). I am no stranger to the performance expected among top-tier android devices. With that said, here is what I think of this “low-tier” android tablet:
-Speed: For the price, the Galaxy A7 Lite is plenty fast, especially for the simple day-to-day tasks the average user will be doing. Sure, this tablet is no speed demon. Apps won’t always open the fastest. Intense multitasking can drag down performance (although, not near as bad as you may think). “Laggy-ness” or “choppy-ness” of the UI is certainly existent, but not near as bad as some make it out to be. For reading, catching up on news, doing some web browsing, and watching some YouTube, the A7 Lite is perfectly acceptable and works very well. Like, shockingly well for what I initially expected, especially compared to the Kindle Fire HD 8.
-Sound: The A7 Lite comes with stereo speakers, one on each side of the tablet. And they sound just fine for what they are. Most devices in this price range don’t even include two speakers, only a measly single speaker that is quiet and lackluster. Compared to the Kindle Fire HD 8, the A7 Lite speakers are certainly louder, more full, and more enjoyable to listen to. Oh, and this tablet comes with a headphone jack. Not a huge deal, but something to note, as nowadays headphone jacks are becoming less and less common.
-Screen: You’re getting a just-above-720p screen with a TFT LCD panel and it’s not the best. But for the price, it is more than acceptable. I am used to 1440p OLED panels, but using the A7 Lite was not near as bad as I assumed it would be. Sure, the viewing angles aren’t the best, and text isn't the sharpest, but again, for the price it is totally fine. Not near as terrible as I was initially afraid it would be.
-Build Quality: Wow, the build quality on this tablet is fantastic. An all-metal build with the weight to back it up, it feels incredibly sturdy and very premium. I would expect a build like this out of $400.00+ devices, so it is nice to see in the A7 Lite.
-Battery Life: The battery life has been perfectly acceptable. I get through a day of usage without issue and average around 7 hours of SoT (screen-on-time). This is better than what I get out of my Note 20 Ultra and is not bad at all.
Cameras: They’re quite “meh.” The A7 Lite has a 2MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing camera, and they work alright. Not the best image quality, but you aren’t going to get top-tier camera specs on a low-end device. The front-facing camera is probably about equal to something you’d find on a laptop (quality-wise).
-Gaming: Okay, I’ve tested the following games and their performance is as follows:
a) Minecraft: Runs acceptably. Framerates smooth enough. Definitely playable. PLAYS OK!
b) PubG Mobile: Runs below acceptable, but still playable. Framerates are smooth enough, but could be better. Was able to get through a game without issue. PLAYS OK!
c) CoD Mobile: Runs acceptably. Framerates smooth, with better performance than Minecraft (although, both are still equally playable). PLAYS OK!
d) Genshin Impact: Surprisingly, the game loaded without crashing. Unsurprisingly, the frame rates are terrible (5-10FPS) and this game is NOT acceptably playable on the A7 Lite. DOES NOT PLAY OK!
-Game Streaming: I have also tested Google’s Stadia and Xbox’s GamePass streaming. Both work well, although I will say GamePass seemed a bit more stable for me. Your performance will (obviously) vary depending on network conditions. I was using a WiFi connection, 5GHz, with speeds of about 100Mbps (at the tablet). The actual internet speeds I pay for are gigabit, but I don’t think the A7 Lite has the best WiFi chip, even if it supports 5GHz.
-Samsung Ecosystem: Since this is a Samsung tablet, it works very well in tandem with other Samsung devices, phones especially. This is a major plus to the tablet, as it extends the experience and makes it more enjoyable to use. My favorite feature is personally the “call and text on other devices,” where I can make/receive calls and send/receive texts on the A7 Lite (since it is connected with my phone as well).
-Drawbacks: Aside from the obvious drawbacks related to the performance, screen, etc., there are some issues that should be talked about. For one, the WiFi chip in the A7 Lite won’t be able to accommodate your super-fast internet speeds at home. It works, don’t get me wrong, but it’s just not the best WiFi chip. Although, this is a fair trade-off for the price, considering it is still good enough. Second, you are limited to 480P streaming on Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max, Disney+, and any other services that utilize WideVine DRM. This is arguably the BIGGEST drawback to the A7 Lite, and is potentially the biggest deal breaker.
-Final Thoughts: So, given the drawbacks of the A7 Lite and the fact that it is weaker than other devices, would I still recommend it? Actually, I would. The price is right, and tablets in the 8” range are more difficult to come by than larger tablets. I would also recommend you spend the additional $30.00 or so to go with the 64GB version since it includes an additional 1GB of RAM. 4GB of RAM is very decent for a tablet of this price. The A7 Lite has really surprised me, and it will be a nice addition to my everyday usage. I do not regret the purchase at all, and honestly believe it is worth it for the price. Just remember, keep your expectations in check. It is still a sub-$200 tablet.
Jul 12, 2021 11:22I purchased the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite 8.7", as a replacement for my 2019 Galaxy 8.0" which had 32 GB internal memory and 2 GB RAM. I ran out of space on my 2019 tablet and it was slow. I wanted the 64 GB version of my 2019 tablet, but it's only available on the Samsung website and the slow issue would still be a problem.
A nice salesman (sorry, forgot his name), steered me towards the Tab A7 Lite because it was on sale and in my price range. I also didn't want a large tablet. He told me that the tablet and cover for it were returnable, even if I opened it. I really like my Tab A7 Lite and overall, I'm glad I purchased it. There are pluses and minuses to my last tablet.
The 2019 8.0" has a much better sound system (way better), an oleophobic coating on the screen, doesn't have a camera bumped out and the battery life was amazing... like two days.
The only thing that really bothered me about my new A7 Lite tablet was the sound, even with headphones, it's not great. I put on a sound/equalizer App and messed around with the App. I adjusted the bass up and the higher frequencies lower. I upped the overall loudness of the sound, since it was too low. The sound is so much better. So, there is a fix for that.
I recommend this tablet over my older one, as it has a tad more pixels per inch and a better aspect ratio, making reading on it much clearer if you are into downloading books. Its screen is whiter and not an off white like my old tablet. With a sound app with equalizer capabilities (there are free apps) you'll improve the sound a whole lot and the right App can up the overall volume coming out. The colors are just as good as the 2019 tablets. It's super-fast when downloading.
I'm not happy with the battery life, but then again, 4 GB of RAM will get you speed, but lower the battery life. Instead of getting 12 to 13 hours, I now get 7 to 8. It also charges a bit faster than my old tablet, making the battery life less of an issue, but a bit of one too.
Overall, I'm happy with the tablet since the sound issue can be fixed with the right App... and I'll take speed and more memory over a slower tablet. Best of all, for the sales price of $149, it's really worth it. Plus, like the 2019 Tab A, it looks to have a metal back, which helps cool the tablet. It think it looks better in design than my old tablet and I like that is it USB-C.
Oct 30, 2021 22:10I was looking for a simple tablet that I could use for e-books, light video streaming and as a game controller for Zwift, but I didn't want to spend $$$ for an iPad (even though I prefer ios.) This fit the bill. Pros: display size hit the sweet spot for me (it has to mount on bike handlebars), price, build quality, memory card slot, bluetooth, a plethora of available cases/stands, access to the Play Store (which disqualified Fire tablets for me) and Samsung reputation. Cons: the display is HD, but it can't compete with the latest OLED and/or Apple displays, it has a noticeable lag when launching some apps, but not too bad once you're used to it, the camera isn't great, the display is very prone to retaining fingerprints (adding another layer of glass really helped with that).
So, it's not the fastest, nor does it have the sharpest display, and the camera is, well, there. But, none of that mattered to me. If you need a reasonably priced tablet for travel, e-books, light gaming and video streaming, I would recommend the A7 Lite to you. BUT spend the extra $20 or so dollars and get the 64 GB version as the system software eats up a lot of that memory. 32 GB is just not enough.
Oct 28, 2021 08:22I originally bought this on sale as a replacement for my wife's Gen 1 iPad Mini. It was the only non-Apple tablet with a form factor similar to the iPad Mini worth considering. I ended up with it when she decided that she preferred the form factor of the new iPad Mini. Of course that one cost $499 as opposed to $159 for the Galaxy Tab!
The Tab is great as a content consumption device....watching movies, YouTube TV, etc. It also is a great e-reader. It falls a bit short in surfing the web due to its screen resolution. The screen is not bad, just not 1080p or higher. It gets a bit tiring after awhile. Using it to check email is fine and the keyboard is also good. I wish the tablet would go to sleep when the cover is flipped closed but it does not support that function. So, make sure you keep it plugged in when not in use or you will find the battery is dead.
You may think that I have a lot of gripes about the tablet but you'd be wrong. When you factor in the cost of the device, it is a real bargain. It is very well constructed, close to iPad quality, has a fairly narrow bezel surrounding the screen, has adequate memory and storage space....all for less than $200, on sale.
Oct 26, 2021 15:13For over 4 1/2 years I was using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1in tablet which was/still is a great tablet.
I just recently got this Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite 8.7in and it's awesome so far for everything and it's an upgrade in everyway over the Tab A 10.1in from 2016.
This Tab A7 Lite has Android 11 installed with 4gb of ram and 64gb storage and at first the screen size seems small, but the smaller screen size of 8.7in to me seems to be the perfect size for a tablet.
I would definitely recommend this Samsung tablet.
Jul 22, 2021 15:42Tablet is ok. Is does the job for most normal tasks like watching movies or surfing the internet and light gaming. Screen is just ok at best. Brightness is good unless outside in the sunlight. Now for the reason I returned it.
Netflix streaming for some reason plays at low resolution. Games struggle with frame rates. Low resolution Screen and is not oled. I ended up getting the older 2019 256gb Tab S6. I absolutely love the beautiful oled Screen and the gaming power of the S6. I would have went for the new S8 but it is way to big for me. I really wish Samsung made a 8-10 inch oled flagship Screen tablet this year!!
Oct 16, 2021 23:01Since 2019 I have used Samsung Tab A 8.0 (32gb) with S Pen. After over 2 years of use, I had just 8gb left on my Internal space so I uninstalled some apps.
Then I discovered Tab A7 Lite 64gb Tab. I bought this TABLET to hold in one hand, like a big, big phone...PORTABILITY. I like it more than I expected.
PROS:
1. Screen is bright and better than I anticipated. It has great colors in YouTube Videos, movies etc.
2. Larger battery capacity than my 2019 Samsung Tab A 8.0. I charged it on fast charger and charged quickly.
3. Easy to use, easy to hold in one hand. Not heavy/bulky like my Tab S7 Plus.
4. For just a few dollars more I bought 64gb with 4gb Memory so it opens apps quicker, no lagging.
5. After installing lots of apps, not games, I have now have 40gb left in Internal,
6. I added 256gb SD Card for my music, files etc. Apps stay on the Internal.
Cons:
1. This is a BUDGET TABLET, yet it is a good deal. It is not like the Tab S7+ with 12.4 screen or the Samsung S6 Lite 10.4 (I own both). But for the great price paid, I got a good deal.
This tablet fits into my medium purse, I use it to hold on my hand for reading eBooks, checking emails, internet and YouTube.
* For typing long files, I use my Tab S7 Plus 12.4 or Samsung S6 Lite.
Aug 14, 2021 01:26With the power of a PC and the mobility of a tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ Wi-Fi is your secret weapon for getting more done—wherever you are. Enjoy the advantages of a true 2-in-1 device, where an expanded keyboard(1) and built-in memory up to 128GB are backed by a battery that lasts the entire workday(2) for ultimate portability. With a redesigned, minimal-lag S Pen that lets you control a presentation with the tap of a finger and an expanded edge-to- edge screen(3) for better streaming, gaming and video chatting, the Galaxy Tab S7+ Wi-Fi simplifies life, work and play. **(1) Keyboard sold separately. **(2) Battery life may vary depending on network environment, usage patterns and other factors. **(3) S7+ 12.4” screen is a sAMOLEDTM screen.
