Top Best 26 vtech phones in December 2021

I purchased this 2-Line item because it said, 3 handsets included. When I received it, it only had the one. Went to Best Buy to get the missing handsets and was told that if you clicked on the item 'Whats included' does not mention any additional handsets so it was my fault but they were willing replace it with a Single line phone that comes with 2 additional handsets. I accepted as I needed something immediately.

seems to be a great phone in terms of sound quality and multiple speakerphones (base & handset) ...you can walk around on conference calls with the handset speaker on and muted ... has an answering system, which I don't use ... has an intercom feature between the base and the handset, which I don't use (may be appropriate in a big house) ... has a directory for saving numbers and speed dialing ... has a hold button for putting one line on hold while you answer the other ... has a flash button for conferencing and accepting another incoming call ... has a redial button on the menu screen ... if you have a message waiting with your service provider's voice mail system, an icon appears in the menu screen ... the only thing I don't like (which may be asking too much) is the menu screen on the base and the handset only light up when you press the menu button ... if you have a voice mail message waiting with your service provider's system an icon appears on the dark screen but ... you could go hours or a day before thinking to check for messages ... (not good for looking responsive to communications) ... my old set had a light that would light up and blink if there was a message waiting ... guess I got used to that ... all in all though ... the phone has all the bells and whistles ... great phone for the money!

Work’s well. Lots of functions. Make sure to read the instructions before using.

I had to replace an old 2 line Radio Shack digital phone, and this was the only one I thought would do the job after searching numerous web sites. So far, so good. Takes a little while to get used to a newer 2 line phone system, but this one seems to work really good. Can get messages from anywhere, after setting things up, but have not had any need to add any additional hand sets....yet! Came with one handset only. Recommend for any small business with 2 phone lines with Internet connection on 1 line coming in.

I needed a new land line telephone. There was not a lot of choices for me out there. This was a very well made and sturdy phone

system. It was very versatile..you could have more expansions if

you needed them.

Had to replace an old 2 line desk phone and decided to buy the Vtech. Bought this phone for the wireless handset. The range on this phone appears good. I have found two items that kind of bother me. The keys on the handset are a little more difficult to use and callers have told me that they have trouble hearing me when I'm using the speaker on the base. 2 line phones are limited and overall this seems to be a good phone.

We replaced our existing two-line multiple phone system. We were not ready to give up the landline yet. This new system is good, not perfect. the buttons are crowded but the phone has a good feel and weight; the reception is good. Overall very pleased.

I purchased this on the side knowing the main unit only comes with one, and it has been awesome. I have it sitting next to me in the office and no issues with it. Will buy this again.

I accidentally dropped one of my cordless phones in the toilet and ruined it. I was afraid that I had to purchase a complete phone system but found that Best Buy offered just the handset replacement. Ordered it which came to my work quickly and it works GREAT with my system.

Plus 1 handset to the basic package. I replaced my older VTech phone setup with the base +1 and this second handset.

This 2-Line phone works great in my store. I have 6 handset total and all are working great.

Only alternative if you have a DS6151 Vtech 2 line Phone system. This is my 7th handset. Each handset has to be set up separately. The instructions are not intuitive but you get used to them.

Bought this phone to expand my system to handle 3 VOIP lines and it worked great - no issues.

I didn’t want to replace my home phones since they were in good shape but the battery kept dying quickly. Ordered these batteries, waited months to write a review so I can see how long they last. They are great long lasting batteries for a great price!

The sales person said this would not work in my phone. Ding Dong, he was wrong. This battery works perfectly in my phone.

phone battery should last 10 to 15 years, as did my old one.

The Model Numbers listed on the battery matched the model numbers on my AT&T Cordless Home Phones. I have used the same replacement battery for all my AT&T Cordless phones before and they have lasted over a couple of years. The connections and the size are the same.

This is a great phone I'll buy it again, at first I was unsure of whether or not I would be happy with it but I am. Its working just fine and I'm going to purchase the additional headsets for each of my rooms.

I purchased this VTech wireless phone after having great success for a few years with a similar model. Display is clear, phone is easy to use and it has many useful features.

Great price point. They say you get what you pay for but this phone was cheap but many features and long battery life that superceded my expectations.

This is a great phone. It has all the important features and works perfectly. I replaced an older model with this phone and there have been several upgrades and changes. Although, it may seem funny to some people, I was happy to find assorted ring tones on this phone which is such a great change from the typical telephone ringer in the past.

I purchased my phone's November 24th 2019 by January I can call on it, I can receive calls on it but they cannot hear me talk on it. I no it's under warranty but I can't find my receipt which is my fault, but going to see if I can get it changed.

Most likely one of the few people with a house phone. My Uniden died after a good decade of service. Replaced the upstairs phone with a VTech. I knew I wanted another VTech in the house. Great addition to mancave/office. The reliability and the user interface is my top options on why I went with the VTech. You can get other models in red but with the desktop or wall hanging capability. Nice to free up desk with having this on the wall. Very easy to get connected to Spectrum Voice services. The newer 6.0 frequency with the digital technology is just amazing. Calls are crystal clear. I have had this phone for about 45 days and is a great buy in my mind. Two thumbs up

Build quality is OK, the plastic feels kind of like a cheap toy but it is holding up well with my family that can be kind of hard on phones.

I bought a basic model and found I couldn't set it for the answering machine to answer after only 2 rings.. However some of the functions (and I suspect that includes this one) depend on the program used by my landline service. My model does work well with my provider's program in other ways. I especially like the way it allows me to block calls. Most importantly I chose vtech because i was happy with my old vtech that I'd had for years and so decided to stay with the brand. Before buying my old vtech I'd gone through several similar cordless sets put out by other companies but that didn't last more than 2-3 years.

They seem to work. Also there is no way to plug in a headset as I can under the older Panasonic Wireless. I really appreciate this phone system. It works very well for my work-at-home purposes. It's lightweight and also small in size, so it does not consume a lot of space on my small desk. The reception is quite clear. And because I have two of them, I don't have to worry about carrying it around with me. I have one upstairs and one downstairs. I am very glad that I purchased this product.

Needed to replace a cordless phone and machine on a wall during our kitchen remodel. This worked great as we usually only need the home phone for emergencies or telemarketer calls. LOL.

Only thing it does not have is a voicemail but we use the one that comes with our online phone#.

I just re purchased this phone system. The last one lasted 10 years and only died due to a power surge. It is rare these days that a piece of electronic is built to last like this V-Tech

This phone system works excellent, I highly recommend it. It won't break the bank like some other phone systems.

I have used this item and have lot of good results

ystem did not work with our 4 line 2 plug setup in our small office.

I tried splitters and plugging through numerous different ways but could not get it to work.

Line access was affected when third phone plugged almost as if the system expected each phone to have its own line, even when registered to the deskset.

Beware you only have 2 weeks from delivery to send back.

The phone I bought it’s a perfect phone for a business who’s using four lines

We were looking for something simple and this unit gave us everything we needed

1 year after purchase. Bought 1 extension unit and 1 handheld unit to go with the main base unit, for a small home office environment. All components work well, except the headset jack on both the base unit and extension is flaky and does not fit any jack we have purchased, so it is not useful at all.

Good value. Calls are crystal clear. It's weird still using these type of phones. Using as a small business 4 line system with other additional handsets.

Good product, have had this phone in the past at work, and it was reliable and good battery life.

These cordless did not work well for business purposes. Sounds tinny and you cannot transfer lines.

Works right out of the box with our existing system and a 2 minute set up. Seems like a quality piece at a good price.

Easy to setup. Nice features. Haven’t learned all the features however instructions are not hard to follow.

Live in a roughly 9000 sq ft home. This handset easily gets a 10/10 rating for its overall awesomeness. Excellent reception & clarity throughout the whole house & even outside on the deck & pool area. Had initially bought a Panasonic phone which I quickly returned due to terrible sound clarity & outrageously poor reception. My first time using a VTech handset which makes me wonder why I had been buying those terrible Panasonic handsets.

I bought these because I found out that Vtech built the ATT&T phones that I'd used previously. However there are some differences! When I first used the phones they kept disconnecting after EXACTLY 15 minutes. I never did figure out what I did but that ceased after the first week. Then I realized that there was no way to change the receiver volume. Another annoyance! The way that the call database is managed has more levels than the previous ATT&T phone system I had - just a lot more keyclicks to do the same basic functions. I'd really just have what my old ATT&T had plus the call blocking function. However - be aware that the spammers are also adapting and keep changing their caller ID numbers.

I don't use the automatic block option, so I can't comment on that. The range for the phone is quite far, although if leaving a handset at a good distance from the base, it is a good idea to either exchange it or bring it close to the bar every few days to reaffirm the connection. I am thrilled with the longevity of the charge on the handsets! They last for days for me on a charge. I am a bit frustrated that I've yet to figure out how to view a scrolling list of the last numbers that I dialed, but that is a mild inconvenience. Overall I am glad that I chose this model.

For your landline committed customers, this combo is a great option. Only rating "good" at this point b/c we haven't explored all of the options with this equipment--which appear to include programming/syncing one or two cell phones into landline "ringing" and reception. This will require that we read the manual!!! AAARGH.

Overall, v good value for price. "Mother" phone (messages) plus three handsets cover our 2500 sq foot home.

So far it has worked great compared to Panasonic model which did not work Well because the recent did not reach other end of house. And this one no problem. Security on this one is great stops all cold callers and robo calls .directions are kind of confusing on how to use and set up but otherwise great phone.

I was looking for another phone system that I can link my mobile phone to like the one I already had. I purchased this phone system because of the features. I like it alright, the only negative is the phones don't stay charged as long as the previous phone system I had.

We purchased this phon for my father. He could no longer read the small letters and numbers on his other phone. He loved this phone and especially the speaker phone feature.

This is a really great phone! When someone calls, it rings. When I want to make a call, I get a dial tone. What I like best is it can not be used to take photos, text play games, or surf the web. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to make a phone call.

I really like this phone. Good quality construction, in other words it doesn't feel cheap. So, I feel like its worth the extra money. The main base is well made and so far seems easy to learn the ends and outs of programming it. No complicated installation either, just plug it in and go, well make sure you charge it first. Very clear reception no matter what part of the house you're in. And I really like the speaker phone sound. Really clear. Best phone for the money In my opinion.

Very useful. My mom can't really see and the numbers on the corded phone are big enough for her to see and she loves the fact that it's old school. More relatable to her generation... lol. The old school phone in her room and the cordless in mine.

The phones work excellent . The phones are easy to use . There are two phones . One of them is cordless and the other one uses a cord.

The salesman was very helpful and the product was excellent. The hookup at home was easy for us and we are not electronically informed. I can hear other people on the phone much better than I could with our old phones. I would recommend Best Buy to anyone, friendly and courteous people.

We love how the phone system has blocked unwanted incoming calls. Those that come through must identify the company or themselves.

Wish I have gotten this phone sooner. WONDERFUL for not being bother by all the Robo calls, Spam Risk and anyone else I don’t know calls. Phone doesn’t even ring. Just blinks a light while the phone is doing it’s job. I had my contacts located on my cell phone and just pair it via Bluetooth. Wa La...phone book down loaded. I have no complaints about the quality of the phone. The answering machine is good also.

There is a small learning curb in setting it up for what you are wanting from the machine. Common sense and a little patience will prevail. Has a set up guide to follow. I am 65 years of age.

We bought this home phone system to replace an existing 5-phone system that was at least 10 years old.

The system works fine, but we need security features that weren't available on consumer systems.

The phone system's ability to interact with a spammer or a number that is added by my mother is great. The fact that the phone will determine that the caller is a spammer, and hang up the call without my Mother knowing that anyone dialed her is BIG NEWS!

These are stylish phones and easy setup. However, we are having problems with operations of the phones such as programming of contacts and dialing numbers. Hopefully, we will grasp all of details soon.

The phone system has excellent robo prevention call features, is well made and looks great.

However, the basic set up to dial out menu is too complex and needs revising.

I'm a senior and although this phone is nice I think as far as me and probably other seniors its a very hard phone to set up because the instructions are very hard to understand and I think could be made more simple. I have bought my other phones from Best Buy and All but this set was fine and I could understand the written instructions. I will not mention the other Brand Name but you have my purchase records but you did not have them in stock. although Its probably a great Phone its just complicated to set up and use and It will just take me some time to get used to.

Good quality for the price. The handsets are large and have a light at the top that flashes when it rings...ideal when tring to reach for the phone in a dark room.

Its fine. Some time you have to push down a little bit harder on the button.

I am really enjoying my new VTech phone that I purchased to replace my Panasonic phone.

Pros: Wireless over the head headset, the call block feature, the connect to cell phone feature, ability to use the answering machine included and/or the paid answering service provided by the phone company. The only con to this feature is that there is no indicator light to let you know there is a message waiting if you use the telephone company service. If you use the answering machine that is supplied with the phone, there is an annoying beep that that lets you know there is a message waiting. I believe this feature can be turned off. I like the ability to screen an incoming call when you use the included answering machine feature. Very sleek and modern looking.

I would have given five stars except for the cons: Buttons above the number pad and below the incoming call screen (see photo) on the handsets are not backlit, the wireless earpiece provided is difficult to put on and is uncomfortable, the base for the second phone is very lightweight and is easily knocked over when replacing the phone. I wish there was a way to block an incoming call as it is coming. Otherwise, this is a great phone and I would recommend it to others.

The Good. The styling is clean and contemporary. It was the best looking phone I could find and it had the features I was looking for. Most phones today look like they were styled in the 1970's for Radio Shack.

The audio on the handset, headset, and even the answering machine is clean and clear. Calls can be answered from the headset. Calls have to be initiated from the handset.

What could be better? The product has a cheap flimsy feel to it and the ear clips for the headset do not appear to be very durable. The headset headband is too small for large heads.

The illuminated keypad does not illuminate evenly, which looks cheap. The illuminated display is not very bright and hard to read. The font is too condensed.

The range of the headset is very short and susceptible to interference. The Bluetooth does go through walls very well. For best results, you have to be in the same room with the base station.

The 72 page manual is too long and filed with too much legal boiler plate. The information you actually need can be too hard to find and too confusing.

Otherwise, it could be 5 stars.

I really liked this phone when I purchased it. My intent was to use it for work and the included headset came in handy when I was on long conference calls. The major issue I had is with connecting it to my iPhone. There is a software issue that doesn't allow the phones to connect properly. If the handset rang and I attempted to answer the calI it wouldn't connect. I'd then have to answer on my cell and transfer the call from the cell to the handset. This became very annoying. I contacted the manufacturer who said they were working on resolving the issue. I couldn't risk waiting and potentially being stuck with a phone that doesn't work so I returned it. I now have a Panasonic model which I really like. If you are using this phone with an Android or landline I highly recommend it. It's a great phone but not for my needs.

Very happy with this purchase. Works great. So many features and comes with a wireless headset that comes in handy if I’m doing stuff around the house or doing work from home. Transfer to/from my cell with 1 button. It charges the main phone and earpiece at the same time on the main base. Many other features. I would totally recommend this to friends, family and coworkers.

V Tech has been mu brand of answering machine for over 30 years now. This model has the advantage of allowing me to use the handset for the answering machine in place of using the cell phone.

I would have given it a 10 except the hand set tips over very easy when using it for a speak hands free phone

Good and clear sound, the extra ear piece is fantastic making my daily phone call on hold for extended periods of time, very doable.

My second Vtech phone system. First system still worked at a dozen years old, but was kept together with crazy glue because each handset had been dropped a million times. I am loving the hands free ear piece, but finding the caller I’d window not as readable as the first, and the on off buttons not as well placed. Speaker phone great, and Bluetooth pairing with my mobile phone is an added benefit.

I bought these to substitute my old Vtech phones. They’re pretty much alike, only thing I don’t like is that the sound quality in speakerphone is not that good.

I have had VTech before and i don't know why i changed but i now have them back and they are the most reliable phone on the market right now.

They are nice and easy to program and the sound of the peoples voice is very much clearer then any other phones that i have had in the past.

I have had a different VTech phone for many years, so I wanted to get the same kind due to the familiar controls and settings, and the durability and quality. This phone did not disappoint! I love the three handsets and although the buttons are arranged a little differently that my old phone it has all the features I have come to use and love!

Did some research before purchase and the description of this model is not as stated. My eyes are very bad and description mentioned that the backlight is bright which is false plus it does not have a call block feature. Vtech phones are not like they use to be and I do not recommend this phone.

Need to replace our old phones with the same. Had a little problem installing due to an extra black box with the phone company

Working good all 3 phones and good battery life...

This is the forth Vtech telephone set that I have bought....thi model is lacking some features that I had with the previous model I owned....on an incoming call it does not tell you who is calling;ring tone is poor andhard to read display!!!!!!

This phone the VTech - CS6114 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone - White, is a great phone for the elderly for it is very easy to use. The only thing against the phone is that it does not have the locator button so if you misplace the handset you can't just 'beep' the phone to find it.

I bought this same cordless phone at Best Buy a year or two ago per an employee’s recommendation and found it to be just what I needed when I had to replace an old phone that stopped working. Concerned it was so inexpensive, I found I was not disappointed to buy this second phone. It’s easy to use, has good connection, and love the backlit keyboard and display and Caller ID.

The menu navigation isn't the most intuitive thing. The two small buttons to either side of the big circular button are the up/down buttons for menu navigation, and if you have poor eyesight you'll have a very hard time seeing which is which. There are only two volume options: a fairly quiet one (for your nightstand) and a very loud one.

However, the call quality seems good and the cordless range is enough to walk to the other side of my house with no noticeable signal degradation.

Good quality for the money. The phone is easy to use.

I recently got a call from my daughter, stating that her existing work phone was dropped and busted into pieces. She asked me for ideas and I suggested Best Buy! I quickly found what she needed and deposit off. She stated that the phone worked great until the original one was replaced. They are keeping it as a back-up if needed

We like the phone set. I would recommend it to others. It's only drawbacks are screen brightness, and I would like to turn the volume up which I don't think can be done - typical requests of an old geezer. No complaints.

I bought this phone a couple months back I have only the one hand set not to but phone is easy to set up Comes with smart call blocker. No more robo calls it will screen your calls and tell the caller this number is being screened and it’s the caller choice to leave their name so the call can go through remember to add your family/friends name to the phone book on the phone or they will be screened to all in all very good phone battery life is very good

I have tried to find a phone that works well being hung on the wall. It’s hard to fine one that you can see all the buttons without having to be 6ft. tall. It’s a great phone, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there are too many functions and not really user friendly and easy to figure out. But the call quality is good which is it’s function.

I was looking for a 2-line cordless phone, I know nowadays its all about smartphones but I still have my landline and also a VoIP service. This is perfect for me.

It was the only one that could be mounted on a wall

Vtech expandable cordless phone system is a good deal. Works fine and has all the bells and whistles we need. The phones are light and easy to carry with you.

I purchased this item as a gift for a non-profit disability agency. Having conference calls with them was always a challenge until I bought this and it got connected. Now call-in attendees to meetings can be heard clearly and participate in the meetings fully.

Just got this conference phone and so far it works nicely. Didn't want to spend double the money on others that are similar. This system seems to work well but only time will tell.

The product would work well, however the size for the space I had allocated did not work.

Thus speaker phone works extremely well for our conference call needs.

Sorry to give this poor review, but this phone was making a lingering background buzzing noise which made people who I was talking to upset. I then called the VTech support line, and the tech there went through everything with me to try and figure out the cause of the problem, but was not successful. So I had to return this phone back to Bestbuy.com.

Got for my mom who has Alzheimer’s and forgets how to use the phone. I had to purchase this phone which I was unaware there are actually 2 phones that came together and I purchased the add on phone for the picture dialing which is easiest for mom. I really don’t like having 3 phones hooked when I only need the one but it works for her so far. The phone talks when dishing or getting a call but the voice is VERY loud which is annoying and I have yet to figure out how to adjust it. The ringer is easy to adjust but no setting for the talk back mode. Other than that it’s working great and would recommend to others!

I needed something to hear better this phone does the trick reason for 4 stars is hand phone on some calls fades in and out not always but sometimes.

This phone has helped my elderly mother hear the phone as well as being able to see the numbers.

After reading the other reviews I knew I was not getting the phone that was pictured. I did receive a base phone and a separate cordless phone. The phone does the big buttons and ability to place pics but it is very small. For this phone geared towards elderly, dementia, etc it is very difficult to maneuver. The menu is on the portable phone. To clear caller log or to change a setting you have to scroll down, select, then choose etc. If the person is tech savvy then its not a problem. Its very complicated for something that should be simpler. The sound is good and they can hear much clearer.

Best Buy is showing the incorrect product as the SN5147 has two units and additional picture slots. The picture shown is for the SN5127 model which I had to do my own research to find out. They now have charged me twice for the wrong units and I now have to return them as they don't seem to understand what I am explaining.

I purchased this to replace an old handset. This is a good quality phone.

We added this expansion handset to our VTech telephone system. It has very good reception and has an excellent battery charge. I highly recommend VTech products.

we needed a 4th wireless phone for our house and this fit the bill perfect to match our already existing phones.

Quick and easy to connect the extension sets to the base, lots of nice features. Like other reviewers, the hardest part of using this phone is getting used to needing to select a line before lifting the handset and not accidentally putting an empty line on hold when you switch over. Otherwise it is working out well so far for our 2 doctor practice.

we have a small business and these phone work great . much more affordable from the Panasonic that cost us over $5,000.00.these are great phone and have very nice useful features.

For the cost of buying the base unit that comes with the small cordless handsets you can own this system for less.

If you're in the market for a business phone but limited with phone outlets, DECT 6.0 technology is a lifesaver. Between this and the AT&T phones, I'd say VTech is better. PROs include ability to expand; decent speed dial/directory; voicemail; battery-operated; cordless handsets available. CONs sadly would be that you can only add up to 8 extensions (see the first item on the PRO list); to date, I have not found a wireless headset that works with the desksets; picking up a call that is already on hold needs to be done in a specific way or you end up tying up two lines (you get used to it over time.)

I do like this phone system, but there are areas of improvement that I'm sure VTech has already made with a newer system. It does the job, and they're a pinch cheaper than the AT&T phones.

Needed to buy more parts for the phone was not able to program it.

This works great for home office needs. If you happen to have multiple lines it can cover that. What I used most are the speed dial numbers which let me program numbers into them. Very easy phone to use and the speakerphone has great sound!

The VTech - CM18245 Extension Deskset synced seamlessly with our existing V-Tech phone system. The phone is easy to set up and fairly user friendly to program.

It’s difficult to find replacement batteries fir cordless landline phones and they are usually the cost of two of these batteries fir just one. This was a great deal and it only took a couple of days to receive them.

This battery was not the correct fit for my landline handheld telephone.

I ordered the above batteriese ( for AT&T phones) but were sent batteries for V-tech phones.

This is a very good setup when you have all the proper features to support it, but if you don’t it’s not useable. Make sure you have the network setup to support or you will be returning it like I did. Excellent concept though, I really wish it worked out.

This phone did not work for our office because our computer system would not allow the phone system to download. I think the phone would have been good for what we needed. The phone is not wireless as advertised. Only the speakers are wireless, the phone still has to be plugged in.

First off, this is a SIP phone that can be used with VOIP providers. You cannot simply connect it to a conventional phone jack. As a VOIP phone, it's pretty amazing. The base phone itself has two microphones and a speaker, then there are four wireless microphones that can be taken out of the base and placed throughout the room. The wireless microphones are put back in the base phone after calls (they recharge while in the base unit).

Sound quality is quite good and was better than some of the Polycomm units we had prior (IP5000, IP7000). Those who complained about voice quality prior were extremely pleased with this new Erisstation 754.

My only concern is that technical support is email only. The phone number they provide simply has a message to go to their support website where response times are 1 to 2 business days (though they do seem to have good support reps when I've used it). Still, when something isn't working....that's a long time to wait and there's no option to call for help.

We've had other units of these for over two years, so they seem robust and work well...so I hope I don't need to use support too often.

Great looking phone. However this a true voice over product and it fails miserably. Wish it would of worked because it looks awesome!

The Vtech Wearable Home SOS Pendant works as described with the Vtech emergency call phone system but it has one flaw. The emergency call button is too easily activated while picking it up or taking it out of a pocket thus initiating an emergency call.

I got this for my 88-year-old mother. While picking it up, her thumb would accidentally depress the button. Doing so, she triggered several false alarms. At first, I thought the unit was defective because she did not know how the alarm went off. When I asked her what she was doing when the alarm sounded, she told me she had just picked it up from the table. I then put the pendant on the table and asked her to pick it up. Sure enough, the alarm was triggered. I noticed that while she picked it up, she did not realize her thumb was on the button. A situation that could easily occur especially for the elderly. The same thing happened when she was taking it out of her pocket where she normally keeps it. This flaw could have been a deal breaker for my mother’s usage.

Compared to other such emergency call systems I’ve tried, this Vtech emergency call phone system performs the best, works consistently, has more phone features and is easily programmed. It also costs much less. For those reasons, I wanted to keep the system but to do so, I would have to overcome the pendant’s shortcoming. I did so by devising a cover that would prevent the button from being accidentally depressed but allowed the button to be easily depressed in an emergency. A picture of the pendant with and without the cover is shown below. The 2-star rating I have given is based on the unit without the cover.

With such a cover I give the pendant 5 stars. The Vtech emergency call phone system is excellent as an emergency call system and a phone/answering system with such a cover.
