Great product but disappointed with installation. There was a minor scratch as well as missing Multi Control connection so I had to buy separately.

Because I know Best Buy would not care my opinion and take too long time to get resolved, I decide not to claim for the scratch.

Great customer service from Best Buy. This dryer looks great and works great so far. the color is off-white making it a unique color. The Samsung SmartThing app sends you notification when your load is all done or if there is anything that requires you attention. Very happy with our purchase.

Amazing appliances. Very technologically advanced. Connects to an app on your phone and tells you what the issue is when something is not working. Havent had any issues with the machine so far. Space friendly and super big capcity!

A front-loading washing machine is the most energy-efficient option. It uses the least amount of water in each load. Clothes get cleaned when they tumble in a small pool of water that’s added by the machine once it senses the weight and type of load. Front-loaders can easily handle big, bulky items, like comforters and sleeping bags, but do require bending to load and unload the tub. Most manufacturers sell pedestal drawers to raise the appliances up to off the floor and save some strain on your back.

Brought this washer to replaced 10 years old Samsung washer. Excellent machine with app notifications. Also got matching pedestal. Kind of expensive for pedestal just to raise the washer higher level.

Did I mention LG supposed more reliable than Samsung? That came from a washer and dryer repair guy. I called him because my Samsung all of sudden stop in the middle of spin cycle and smoke and burning smell came out of the drum. He suggested get a new one and recommended LG only. He seen a lot of other brand. He could have taken my call for anther repair job. But he honestly recommended LG for my next new washer.

Purchased just a month ago, this machine is doing a spectacular job. I consider a king size comforter to be a large load. This machine did not struggle in any way & every inch of the bedding was thoroughly clean. There were not any dry spots because of lack of water. The different motions of the drum make sure of that. Super quiet operation. The little noise that comes from it, remind me of a well tuned engine, when it spins out a load. Of course you hear water turning on & evacuating but that's expected. Self-balancing (TrueBalance) feature is amazing. So far, I think I made the right purchase.

Consumer Reports rated this model number 1 across the board. I waited a year to be able to get this washer/dryer combo because of the pandemic. Best Buy had the best price and the experience was painless.

The washer is well-made with tempered glass doors and lots of preprogrammed options. They even have a Tub clean cycle. A stainless steel drum.

SPEND THE EXTRA FOR THE PEDESTALS!

So far so good. We were in need of a washer/dryer since our apartment we just moved into didn’t have any that we could rent. We’re definitely happy with the investment. I don’t know if it’s just me but our clothes smells so much better with this front load washer compared to our last one, which was a top load. Love the LG brand, and the tempered glass on these things are quite nice.

This is my first front load washer and like the performance so far. My family is a family of 8 and we don’t have to wash every day with this washer. I had a small problem with the sound of the washer, it had stopped sounding when it was finished and no sound when turned on or off. I have a one year old son who follows me everywhere and kept pressing buttons so I thought maybe he broke it. I called the customer service number by the door on the inside and the problem was fixed in less then 5 min all together. (My son had pressed the on/off button for signal) so if you don’t like the music it CAN be turned off. I haven’t had any problems with the washer and the noise is minimal comparing to my top loader that I use to own which it would always go off balance and make very loud noises. This is very minimal but like everything that is electronic has to have some noise to it. I can hear my television and phone fine while it’s washing. I can hear my one year old on my second floor fine as well. Turbowash is a must. It rinses your clothes and saturates it while spinning. I do notice it has no water when on regular wash, but turbowash is on and off throughout the washing time. I did notice that on the “towels” selection it does keep some water in the drum while it washes along with turbowash if selected. The longest time that I’ve seen so far is 1 hour 20 minutes. The shortest time is 30 minutes. It does weigh your clothes, but I found out that if I select a different soil level it does change the minutes, if I feel it’s too long of a wash before it starts running I press pause and select a low soil level and the minutes lower. Also the spinning is quiet enough and not loud at all, the dryer is louder. I have washed comforters and pillows and it does wash and dry good. It spin drys very well to where thin material can be hung dry. Over all I have little ones and they get very dirty and the clothes come out clean I use “Shout” for very stubborn stains. My little ones like helping and they can reach perfectly and it doesn’t the height with out the stand does not bother me since I’m short in height.

So far I am very pleased with the washer and dryer . I do have a question about the washer. Specifically the door itself. When it is open, it opens wide and continues to open even more and then hits the glass in my house door that goes outside. Is there an adjustment to stop the door at certain stage. This seems unnecessary and I don't want to damage my door. Please advise.

This is my third front loader so I’ll compare to my Kenmore (2004) and Maytag (2013). The LG has outstanding anti vibration technology- a plus for a second floor laundry! It isn’t as gentle on the clothes as my Maytag and Kenmore (made by Bosch then). A load will come out twisted together even if loaded carefully and properly. The LG is above our family room and I will say it is LOUD. It sounds like a car reving up and our biggest disappointment. The controls are overly complicated for what a consumer requires. I will never use 12 cycles! In my opinion it is pure marketing and the controls could be simplified to be more consumer friendly. Lastly, the “tub clean” instructions say to open the panel on the bottom front of the washer to check the filter. I’ve done this twice-a nice feature however, be prepared for a gush of water. Our washer is in a curbed shower like basin we had custom built with a drain so it’s no problem. But, if you aren’t prepared with a towel or drain it could cause a potential problem. So far I’m satisfied but, it’s not my favorite appliance. I do LOVE the WiFi notifications that my laundry is done! The LG app is very convenient and keeps me from wondering how much cycle time is left. Great feature if your laundry is on another level of the house.

Just received today with matching dryer. I was worried that the accent color might be too bright based on the manufacturer photos. It's not and looks very modern and pleasing. So far so good with a few loads ran. Machine is quiet compared to a 10 year old Samsung. The App/wifi is a nice touch but I wish you could remote in without having to set it up 1st on either machine. It does not have true 100% remote capability. Real glass doors are a premium look and feel however the control knob needs beefed up to compliment the glass and or trim. The 4.5 is plenty big. Almost thought about the 5.0 but it's not really needed unless you have a very big family. The best thing going is LG extends the warranty an additional year if you register through the app. That gives you two years coverage! Was one of the factors when deciding to buy. Best Buy did great on the install and haul off of my old units. Pleased with my purchase.

Works good. Sometimes when the cloths are finished. Some of the clothes don't feel wet. Like they didn't get washed.

This is a nice large capacity front loading washer. We're okay with the color but wish they had more color options. Our old Kenmore set were candy apple red with heavy use of chrome...POP! We stacked our new washer/dryer set to save space for a clothes folding table. Does a great job with washing but it makes a loud bang 4 times every time we wash a load or I would have given it a 5 out of 5. Not sure if we need to call for service or if this is what it supposed to do. Otherwise I would recommend this washer.

I have a problem with it after one month, all my clothes with marks, don’t know where is come from, did a lot of damages in my clothes

It’s beautiful and big, does what it’s supposed to but is high maintenance. So much excess water on/in the door seal and in detergent draw after a wash. Expensive for all the extra care it requires. After every wash I have to dry the door seal and empty the detergent draw before my next load. Don’t know if I’d purchase an LG again. My Samsung set didn’t require all the extra care but we needed something bigger with our growing family.

Best Buy did it right! I really like my new washer and dryer. Even more so with the flawless and excellent customer service. From beginning to end the process was smooth and stress free. I felt good about spending my money! The washer and dryer are great additions and work really well.

It drys my clothes perfectly and they come out with freshness, It warms out my towels before use which is my favorite.

My clothes come out wrinkle free.

I regret why I didn’t buy it earlier than this.

Product works fine but the washer was badly scratched during the install.

First off let me say…”I am a Heavy Washer”!!!! We are a large family of 7 (2 adults & 5 teenagers)!!! So I am washing constantly (at least 10 loads a day). We purchased this set to replace an older model of the same LG set because of wear & tear after some years of heavy use on the washer. However, we prefer a matching set, so decided to get both!

We received our new washing machine first. Our steam dryer came about 2 weeks later. Because of that I had already gotten familiar with the ThinQ app!!! I love it!!! No more guess work on when the load will be finished!!! It’s also perfectly paired together for the settings of how long to dry, after the washing cycle stops!!! Also, it’s very easy to download a more custom cycle (you can choose from lots of options in the app)!!! The dryer is pretty quite while it does it thing too!!!

However, I will say if this is your first steam dryer you should know that you will need an additional hose to connect to the water hook ups. It’s called a Steam Dryer Installation Kit! You can purchase it@ the store whenever you buy your dryer.

Only had the new machines a short while so we’ll see how they hold up. I love how quiet they are compared to my prior Maytag elite machines, granted they were 20 yrs old. I went from a gas dryer to electric and surprisingly it didn’t cause an increase in my electrical bill that I’ve been able to notice.

Love the washer and dryer. Still learning how to work the different cycles and times. When you do get the washer, before the people leave MAKE SURE IT IS LEVELED or you will hear unusual noises from the machine.

Big and beautiful. Does a good job. Not sure about the steam tray. It’s weird to check the water level and will the water create mold or mildew if it isn’t used often enough? We’ll see...

These machines are BEASTS!! Love them so much. We have a day spa and the capacity, quietness, sheer Work horse ability of these machines has cut our laundry load by at least 1/3. And the delivery service was the most professional and quick installation ever!

Our first impressions of the DVE50A8800V were strong and positive. It has a beautiful and clean design that is very modern and premium in its appearance. The black finish doesn't darken the room as we were concerned it would. Instead the polished brushed metal finish and glossy appliance door reflect plenty of light.

The dryer doesn't have the same breadth of features as the Samsung WF50A8800AV washer and this is just fine. The features supported are thoughtful and will be put to good use. These include the option to specific a time when you want you laundry to be completed, tracking of the energy usage over time, and a step by step guide to help the average domestic ogre like me figure out what settings to use for my load. They even include sensors to indicate if your duct is blocked which is an issue that can lead to fires if neglected. It's a great package that really brings the appliance into the future.

Lots of design consideration went into finding ways to connect the two devices to improve the experience of doing laundry. You can link your washer and dryer in the SmartThings app to automatically set the dryer to an appropriate setting based on the wash cycle you just used. The units can also be stacked and controlled from just the bottom set of controls on the washer--no more step ladder required! So far we are extremely pleased with the performance of the dryer and have zero concerns. The capacity of this unit (7.5 cu. ft.) is enough for a large comforter with plenty of room to tumble. Just like it's washing machine peer it operates with little noise and no noticeable vibration. And if you're like me, you like to pull out dress shirts while damp to hang and they have you covered with a dampness sensor that does just that.

This is a great looking unit and is extremely well paired with the fraternal twin washing machine. I'm looking forward to learning more about the many features and technology it has to offer. Now if I could only just say "Computer, do my laundry" without the need to load or fold and hang my clothes....

The product came with scratches on the side. Very disappointing and not something I expected buying a new product...

First and foremost, the most important thing about any dryer is whether or not it gets the job done. My previous dryer was top of the line, latest technology, gas, and no matter what setting, one cycle just couldn't cut it. Clothes, towels, sheets, were all still moist. I was so dissapointed with having to run the dryer more than once and the prolonged time of the cycles was inconvenient. I decided to give this electric dryer a chance. I can't comment if the energy cost is higher yet, I have not noticed a significant jump in my bill yet, but what I can tell you is that one cycle is all it took. I was extremely happy with the result. The smart tachnology "senses" ur laundry load and helps you to gauge settings. The smart things app allows you to track your dry cycle which greatly helps you to plan time around your chores. The piano black is absolutely stunning, fingerprint free, and looks great in a white laundry room. The door opens from left to right, so the door when open would be against a right wall. The noise is much less than my previous units. I absolutely recommend this unit and like I said it actually drys everything out! You won't be able to believe that you went this long without a smart app compatible dryer.

I recently purchased the Samsung 5.0 cu. ft. Extra-Large Capacity Smart Dial Front Load Washer with OptiWash™ and Samsung 7.5 cu. ft. Smart Dial Electric Dryer with Super Speed Dry (WF50A8800AV & DVE50A8800V) through the insiders. When it first arrived I felt like I had just received a laundry set from the future. Once I hit the power button, the machine clearly explained the set up and various features. I truly love the different modes for different loads. Especially the bedding mode. I love the steam sanitizer feature most of all. Our clothes and linens feel just, if not better than when we first purchased them! Everything comes out so soft and fresh. I feel like i have never had real clean clothes until NOW. I am amazed at the fact that I can control my both washer and dryer from my alexa device, phone or from the washer alone. The dryer has a inner stand that I am able to place tennis shoes on. The washer and dryer both have a nice sleek and slim design! The both hold double what my old machines could hold. I am falling in love with this dryer. I like being able to manipulate the settings to cater to the items I'm drying. The drying rack that is included is convenient for drying shoes or other delicate items you do not want to tumble around. The app is nice to let you know when your load is completed, i wish I was able to start a load directly from my phone without having to press the start button on the machine. It is very quiet and puts out very little vibration. The lint catcher is a little difficult to clean, but not a major issue. It does sit low to the ground, so I will be looking to get the drawer pedestals in the future. Overall I am very happy with it. The design is very modern and it has been a major upgrade to our laundry room. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

After 5 weeks use, it blew the 2220v breaker during a dry cycle. House breaker wouldn't reset while dryer was plugged in. GE service tech came out and found an online service bulletin about the power wires being routed up against the heater element box and melting the insulation causing a direct short. GE says replacement harness is out of stock and won't be available for at least six weeks.

Clearly buying this dryer was a mistake. Still waiting on a return call from Best Buy about options.

I really enjoy this dryer. It gets a lot of lent off my clothing and dog hair ( I have 2 big dogs) and cleaning the lint tray is easy. In fact, this dryer has the largest lint tray that I've ever seen! In fact, this is the largest dryer that I've ever seen! It is HUGE! Paired with the washer, it takes up the majority of my wash room! I can put a LOT of clothes, towels and sheets in there at one time but I don't overload it. I have really thick towels so I've had to restart the dryer a couple of times but it wasn't a problem for me. I can truly say that I am a happy Camper with this purchase so far. It was installed 1/19/2021 (due on back order) even though it was purchased 11/30/2020. I can say it was worth the wait in my opinion.

I have had a great experience with this dryer. It dries my clothing super fast. Sometimes when you get the clothes out immediately after a cycle you have to be careful not to burn your hands on the metal buttons on baby clothes and such. It has steam and a built in refresh mode. If you forget clothes in the dryer for a few days it is your savior. I have nothing bad to say but the wifi capabilities could be improved on the model i have by adding cobtrolability via the app.

This dryer dries very well, even when I lower the heat setting and duration. I have not tried the steam function yet, but am looking forward to using it to get rid of wrinkles. It compliments the washer nicely. It took some time to ship due to availability, but it was worth the wait. You don’t need to purchase the power cord that Best Buy recommends, as it comes with one.

Love this dryer! The steam cycle is great way to get rid of wrinkles without pulling out the iron. Its wifi connected so I can get notified when my dryer is done drying. It communicates with my washer so it knows how long to dry a load of clothes I put in..Best of all its American made...keeping jobs in the US which is especially important during this time.

It just works! It wasn't the matching dryer we wanted to get, but it fit into our smaller space, so we went with it. It didn't match the color of the washer we got, but who cares. It does a great job of getting your clothes dry, and the connected app tells you when the clothes are done, and if you need more time, it will allow you to tumble a bit longer so your clothes don't wrinkle. Very happy we got it!

Well this washer and dryer are perfect they work perfect together they fit great in our laundry room and they’re big enough to wash a CAL king Comforter, Best Buy consultant Frank set it up for delivery and install set up didn’t have to do anything the installer went through both of the washer and dryer to show me how to best use it. great purchase very happy

This is a great all-around dryer, I was skeptical of the steam functionality but it's not horrible, very useful in a pinch. The only downside is that it draws a lot of electricity so we will need to upgrade our old laundry room with higher voltage outlets. Nothing goes wrong just every so often you will get a notification/warning stating low voltage outlet.

Used the dryer a few times and it takes some getting used to all the settings, haven’t figured out the right settings to have a good wash, but overall recommend the product.

It worked just fine but the washer was a nightmare. I had the original washer replaced when it wouldn't drain on the second load. When the replacement washer was installed, we had the same problem immediately. Returned both and bought an LG set.

This unit is amazing. I still haven't figured out how to set it up on my wifi but it is top notch at cleaning my clothes efficiently.

I love my new washer! First of all, the sleek, modern design is so eye catching. I love the overall look of it in my laundry room. I love the extra large capacity because it allows me to wash even my largest blankets and comforters without having to go to a Laundromat. I am able to use the Bedding cycle for my sheets, pillowcases, and blankets. Everything comes out crisp and clean. The machine runs quietly and is quite easy to use. By gently turning the dial on the front, I have an abundance of settings I can choose from depending on what it is I am washing. It is easy to read and make your selection. I love all of the various cycles, especially the Steam Sanitize for when I have anything that I want to make sure is extra sanitized and the Activewear cycle which is perfect for my athletic clothing. It is definitely energy efficient and seems to wash quicker and quieter than any of my previous machines. I love the jingle it plays when the cycle is complete. The physical design of the internal drum is also quite unique. It has a rigid design that allows more water to be drawn from your fabrics which helps prevent any snagging that could occur on delicates. All in all, I am very pleased with this washer, and I hope to rely on it for all of my washing needs for many years to come. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a large capacity machine that will be a workhorse and work well for anything and everything you need to wash. So with a new Samsung dryer comes a new Samsung washing machine (WF50A8600AE). We always had trouble with all our washer and dryer devices, but not anymore; we finally have the ultimate washer and dryer that helps us run through our chores. The AI smart dial really does make for easy operation of the washer, with having the clean guard helps everything smelling fresh. I love my tech. Hence, it really is excellent to control everything from the comfort of my phone. It's great to have the super speed wash setting to help get some items finished at a moment's notice. Our favorite wash setting is normal. Having the steam setting really does help to get the wrinkling out of those clothes. Having the option of 24 total wash cycles really does give you a vast amount of options to get your clothes washed precisely the way you want with the added 5 temperature settings and 5 spin settings really does make like easier. The capacity of the washer really does satisfy our needs with 4 family members constantly washing their clothes. There is no comparison to our old washer; this Samsung washer is the crème de la crème of washing machines. My three favorite features about the washer are how simple it is to operate the wifi connectivity and the different options you have for your wash cycles, and the capacity for loading. The washer experience is vastly improved; it simplifies the user's experience. I would highly recommend this to any family or friend. Wow, I am so impressed with this Samsung Washer, the design and color are so beautiful. I added it to my Smarthings app and I get notifications on my phone and smart watch when my load is done, it also plays music when my laundry is done, what a unique and fun feature! I love all the wash cycles, I get around 24 different cycles to choose from, my favorite is the steam sanitizer and steam cotton, it eliminates the bacteria and bad odors of my laundry. The washer is super quiet and very easy to use and understand, big perfect for big loads like heavy blankets. The soap dispenser is amazing, allows me to add the laundry soap I need without mess. This is the best washer I had ever own! I received this Samsung Appliance at a discount in exchange for your honest opinion!

Although we wanted this in Black, the pedestals were out of stock. We settle for Ivory, which looks stunning in our laundry room! I haven’t even gotten a chance to test out all the numerous features yet, but the basic wash functions are excellent. Cleans the clothes so well in one cycle!

This washing machine really does the job. This is my first washer without an agitator, and I was worried soiled clothing wouldn't get clean. So much so, that I tested the capability by intentionally soiling a few wash rags with liberal amounts of dust/grime from around my patio furniture and ran the "normal" cycle with a modest amount of detergent. The items came out perfectly clean.

The bottom of the wash drum spins independently from the walls, which does agitate the items in the drum very well. Additionally, the bottom portion of the drum features holes or perforations that seem to be directly coupled to a pump that forces "jets" of water upward as the bottom of the drum spins in the opposite direction as the rest of the drum, further agitating the items being washed. The result is a somewhat magical twist of the items that are at the bottom of the drum and most likely explains why the items are cleaned so well.

For extremely bulky items like comforters or large blankets, I do notice that the machine struggles to get the fabric circulating so the top is forced to the bottom, where the mechanical "magic" happens. I would suggest smaller loads, as the machine is able to "toss" the items around more effectively. The larger the load, the more risk there is that some items may not spend enough time at the bottom of the drum where the agitation is the most effective.

The auto-sensing features seem to work well. I've never seen the machine fail to apply the necessary amount of water like some cheaper options do, and the rinse cycle uses a special nozzle that sprays the clothing as it spins in the drum, forcing rinse water through the fabrics before it's spun outward and through the drain holes in the side of the drum - a really well thought-out design feature that makes perfect sense, as compared to filling the drum with a large amount of water and simply draining it after more agitation.

The final spin cycle is also impressive. The drum spins so fast the clothing is almost completely dry when the cycle is complete. I'm sure this helps LG achieve "High Efficiency" standards, because the dryer doesn't need to apply much effort to finish drying the clothes after being washed - they're barely damp afterwards.

The only drawback I've noticed is the loudness of the "transmission" changing "gears" when the drum needs to spin at a higher RPM (like for a rinse cycle, for example). Because the sides and the bottom of the drum twist and turn at different times and speeds, the machine uses a sort of "transmission" that "locks" the drum sides and bottom together so they spin at the same speed when necessary. When this "locking" procedure happens, it sound like a metal pin is being forced against a solid metal drum to lock the two pieces together, and is pretty loud compared to the rest of the mechanical sounds you'd find typical in a washing machine. It hasn't caused any problems, and is probably just the result of low-cost mechanical tolerances typical of any consumer grade washing machine, but it does strike me as noticeable and does worry me about longevity. If that pin or the hole it's being mated to are being jammed together, one of them is bound to wear out eventually - I'm just worried it might happen sooner than anything else would fail, but have no way of knowing.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this machine's capability. I've used it daily for just about a year now and have never had any issues or questionable success.

Perfect washer for my small laundry room. Washers and rinses clothes thoroughly. Queen size thick blanket fit and washed well. Wifi feature let's me know when clothes are ready for the dryer.

Purchased this washer in Dec. 2019 and on 3/25/21 it just went silent, no power on, no lights on screen, no sounds, nothing. Called BB for service and tech found the wire to the door lock had fallen around the barrel and worn through all the way down to the wiring, shorting out the main electronics bank. After 10 day wait to get here to diagnose, now we have to order parts and its going to be another week or two to get it repaired, at our cost upwards of $500. Definitely get the extended warranty on these washers, they may not last.

It’s been a couple of weeks and I have to say I am so pleasantly surprised by this machine! I of course read a ridiculous amount of info on washers and dryers before deciding on this one and the matching dryer! So I’ll break down the pros and cons IMO-

Pros-

Capacity - WOW - seriously you can double the loads amount from a standard size - so for our family of 6 this has drastically reduced the amount of washing from our previous 4.2 cubic ft

Functions- SO MANY there are many options to choose from- My favorite so far are the turbo, soak and whites - each is different and I can say each cycle cleans well! I was super nervous coming from a front loader and switching to top with no agitator! The technology seems to be there though!

Stainless drum- the washer has NO SMELL- it’s so nice to have all metal and it’s so clean! I come from a broken LG front loader that lasted close to 13 years! That gasket was constantly grossing me out- it was reason enough to switch to top loader! No more cleaning that ring!

Cons-

I wish LG had the tap button to manually add water like the whirlpools- but the whirlpools ratings were half that of the LG and my last LG lasted so long I feel like this feature was worth giving up!

I do wish the detergent dispenser was a little easier- I don’t know where they could move it I guess, but it is like all of the top loaders right under the door and it’s just a little tight to me! Total 1st world stupid - not even really a con-

That’s it for me- and I have to say the install through Best Buy was perfect! The guys were polite and respectful! They did a stellar job and were so quick but super efficient and detailed!

Ooh one last thing- I’m super short at 5’ and have NO trouble getting clothes out! Some said it was too deep? I find it perfectly easy to get clothing out!

This is the worst and the most expensive washing machine I’ve ever had. Every two months some sticky, dirty, and disgusting thing spreads through the inside of the machine. I have called for technical support three times and they always say the machine has no problems and they don't find anything wrong with it. In addition to this, in the last months the “normal” program wash lasts about 15 minutes and then shuts off, when it is supposed to last 101 minutes. I will never recommend this machine to anyone!!!

This unit stopped working a few minths after warranty. Do NOT buy.

The Best Buy tech had recommended this dryer due to a nice discounted price along with a matching washer! I was pleased and had them delivered and installed and works flawlessly! Highly recommended! Quiet fast efficient what more can you ask for? We do a lot of laundry and zero issues hasn’t skipped a beat!

Love this brand! This is the 2nd set I got! The washer is big, so I can wash big blankets and etc!

Our old washer finally failed after 16 years (average life span is 8 years!). Decided to buy a new one, and although our dryer was still working, we decided to replace that as well which comes with a discount if you purchase both. Delivery was delayed, but only by a few days and the Geek Squad installers were great. No issues there, and the new LG's are fantastic.

I love this dryer. It’s large for king size stuff. It’s got steam!! And nice looking.

The only negative thing I have to say is the sensor that stops the dryer when it feels your clothes are dry is a bit off. Usually have to add more time but can always set the settings to a different mode. Love the steam option, hooks right up to the same washer hookup. Door opens to the side or downward which is a nice extra feature to have. Love this set!

This dryer is great! The "EasyLoad" door is the major selling point here. I thought it was more of a marketing gimmick, but I really do use the feature more than I thought I would, so I'll start with that. The steam feature is a great bragging point, but I don't find myself using it very often, but maybe it's just my preference.

I have found that sometimes, the dryer does "sense" that the clothes are dry and they're actually still quite damp. I know this isn't a fault of a dirty lint trap or a clogged/restricted vent, so I do have to double check the clothes before I pull them out to make sure they're as dry as I've selected them to be.

Other than that, the machine does a great job. The large size is great and it's easy to use.

Thought it was going to be a happy investment, was I wrong. Clothes take long to dry on normal. Lint filter gets lint on ledge of machine an goes all over when you pull it out to clean. Got returned after trying to give it several tries. Not good. Not happy.

We decided on this upgrade only due to the steaming feature, the set is beautiful, it does hold fingerprints but the color is stunning

We did extensive research looking for the right washer and dryer for our home. Our whole home has LG products but research suggested this set. We love it! The look the ease of use and the fresh vent and smart dispense pushed this set over the others. My husband loves it and so do I. Next project is to build a table for the top for folding.

Great looking. I’ma sucker for all things blue. The app is quite clunky - but kinda neat to see what the washer is up to and alerts on the Apple Watch when things are done or near done.

The first load of laundry (a king comforter) must’ve freaked out the washer- it ran for an hour then the play / pause button started flashing. Argggg- so had to restart the wash all over again. Ran four more loads and they all seem legit. The auto dispense thing is really neat and I can already feel the sheets are super clean.

I was looking for a front load washer machine that had the latest technology and would not have issues with mildew scents. Although I’ve only have owned it for a short time, The GE washer has exceeded my expectations. It syncs to a phone application and notifies you when the washing cycle is completed.

We love it, especially the load-and-forget detergent container. You can basically dump your entire jug of liquid detergent in a receptacle, and the machine measures out the per wash amount needed.

Our only complaint is very minor. For some reason, the dryer doesn't like to stay connected to the GE mobile app, so the app will read that the dryer is off, when truly it is running.

The dryer looks amazing- it seems to do a good job drying as well. However it has a consistent whistling noise when it is drying. I’m glad I got the extra 5 years of coverage as I just took delivery today and ran four loads of laundry and she’s whistling like the wind already.

We love these machines! Bought the matching washer as well. Our towels came out so fluffy I was amazed! You can see in the photo, the same towels washed in our old set on the left, and the fluffy ones washed/dried in the new GE set. Love the features! The refresh cycle with steam is amazing at removing wrinkles. And I love getting a notification on my phone when the clothes are done!

I can't yet recommend it since I only used it once since it was delivered.

I knew my space was limited, and focused on the overall depth of the machines, rather than the shape. They measure an inch less than the old Samsung, but the Samsung had a smaller, thicker door on a curved profile. That door gave the machine an added inch. The LG is more like a solid cube with a wider/flatter door. That makes it so that it barely clears the swing of the door entering the room. The 2 machines take up more space than the older Samsung even thought they are 1 inch smaller. My mistake.

Never thought I need a new washer or dryer But after having these two I can’t begin to tell you how improve lg has made these appliances.

I must say this has been 1 of the besttt!! Purchases I have made!!! They are beyond awesome and super smart with so many functions all in one!! The color is beautiful goes with everything in our home!! It knows what your washing and prepares dryer for clothes to dry!! This was literally a lifesaver as it is smart and lets you know when anything is wrong and it let us know our exhaust system in our new apartment needed cleaning and we thank that function for saving us and our home from a fire or hazard!! Must have appliances for life!! Thanks Bestbuy for our purchase you guys rock!!!! Highly recommend!!!

I bought this gas dryer along with its washer counterpart and I couldn't be happier with it. To me, it does a great job at both looking great and drying clothes perfectly. It never over-dries or under-dries anything. I also appreciate that it alerts me on my smartphone when the load is ready. I debated getting the stainless steel type but the white one is so clean and bright. I love it!

So happy my clothes come out beautiful so far! The steam was great for a touch up. Thanks!

I just received my washer 3 days ago. I like it a lot, but had a couple concerns...when it ran thru the spin cycle, sometimes at times it would shake EXTREMELY hard...more than I thought it should, and was very loud. I think I figured out the problem...when they delivered it, they took out the shipping bolts, but left the shipping brackets on...the directions say to remove those also from the back of the machine or it can become SEVERELY unbalanced. I also was wondering why there is a Cancer/Reproductive Warning P65 label on the machine...does anybody know anything about why that is on there...that concerns me...

Clothes have never been cleaner, most advanced washer I have ever used. The auto bulk dispense is a game changer, takes out one extra step in doing laundry. Along with the WiFi connection, which notifies you when your laundry is completed. And lastly, the auto fresh venting system really does wonders clearing out left over water to prevent that moldy smell. All in all, obsessed over the washer. Only downside, Satin Nickel is not actually a nickel color, it’s a champagne color. Looks very different than in photos and should have stuck with all white.

Best washer ever! I researched them a long time so I wouldn’t make any mistakes and this machine has everything I need and more but it is not complicated to use and cleans my clothes perfectly! The default cycles are great but everything can be customized if desired very easily. I love being able to pour a whole bottle of detergent into the reservoir and let the machine decide how much soap to dispense depending on the size of the load and even that can be altered if desired. This is very nice when other family members do their own laundry and think More is Better. I didn’t think I would use the phone app but it’s nice getting a 5 minute warning that the wash will be done, then another alert that it’s ready, and the best part is it sends a reminder about 30 minutes later if you forgot to take the clothes out!!! Genius! Buy this one and you won’t be disappointed!

I purchased this unit because of all of the new features, plugged everything in, screwed everything on, started to wash and all of a sudden during the very first use while water flowed into the fabric softener compartment, water poured out of the front detergent dispenser down the front of the machine and all over my floor. It will take two weeks to get an appointment for them to come out just to figure out what’s wrong. I asked to send video ahead of time and was denied.

Love my new energy efficient and super heavy duty stackable washer

Love my new GE washer / dryer set. We originally purchased the LG 4.5 cu. washer/ dryer set (12 cycle washer) and I just could not get used to not seeing water in my load. So disappointed. It was almost waterless! Fortunately we decided to change it for the GE 12 cycle front load and dryer combo- best choice we could’ve made! The control panel is easy to read (not so with the LG model) and the washer has a light when you open it (not so with the LG model). Also love the feature that allows you to fill up the detergent tank with 50 oz so you dont have to pour detergent for every load. Has so many features that I have yet to use. The smart app is also another great feature... again works even better than the LG model. A little bit more difficult to connect the first time but once you get it, it works great. Highly recommend this washer/ dryer set.

Biggest selling point (in my opinion) is the Microban technology used in the door and the detergent drawer. Where our old washer used to require almost constant cleaning to prevent moldy buildup, this washer has yet to need anything more than a wipe down with a dry paper towel. Running the vent cycle after each wash is easy - just hit play after emptying contents and walk away. So far there’s no complaints with noise or performance. Also, the satin nickel color looks amazing in person.

This washer is compatible with the SmartHQ app and easily connects to your WiFi network. The app sends push notifications, which is convenient if you’re waiting on a cycle to end and in another part of the house and unable to hear the noise notification the washer makes.

We purchased both the washer and dryer and opted for the professional installation around a month ago and so far couldn’t be happier.

Love my dryer! I have owned many dryers over my life. I have learned that all the Bella & whistles just mean more things to go wrong. That being said the only thing I didn’t have that I thought I might like was steam dry. I decided my old method of putting a wet hand towel has always worked so it wasn’t that important to me. I love the clear glass door and the drum light. You can turn it on or off. Also a cool feature which I just found in error you can open the dryer on side of down center. I use the main setting and have been happy with the time. I am happy with the look of my set as well. I had previously wanted front loaders but am quite happy I chose these

I took months reviewing dryers, looked at consumer's reports,cnet, other reviewer's comments. So I decided to go with BestBuy because they offered the best deal on pairs ( Washer/dryer)- such as free delivery/installation/haul away/ adjustment of the door opening. When shopping in-store at best buy, I wondered about how wide the door could open on the dryer. It turns out that the dryer door can be installed to open two ways! This dryer is preset as well as programmable. oh! and it drys fast too! Oh yeah, it looks nice too! I love my dryer!

After owning my last Kenmore washer and dryer set for many years, I decided to purchase a new set. I looked at all of the brands and many, many reviews. I have other LG products and have been very happy with them. I wasn't sure if I would have the same luck with these products. I love everything about them! They are visually attractive machines, the options/instrument panel is easy to read with all the options I could ask for and our clothes come out clean and dry. Very happy with my purchases and I'm sure I'll have these for years to come.

I love the fact you can see the laundry itself it also lite up. You can adjust volume on the sound once laundry is done. Doors are adjustable three ways (from the top or from the L or R). There is indicator for changing the filter which helps keeping the unit clean.

Had a problem when delivered the 1st unit with the door. It was corrected and Dryer has been going strong since then.

Also the in home installation had problem with vent hose not secured on correctly. Exhaust was going into the Laundry room. After resecuring the hose, everything worked fine.

We are in love with our new Samsung Dryer! As with our matching washer, we chose the Ivory color with stainless accents that keeps the dryer looking very modern. The Smart dial learns your routines and puts your regular used settings first. The dryer drys the clothes very fast compared to our previous Samsung model. The steam feature allows me to freshen up an article of clothing to take out the wrinkles quickly. The wifi features paired with the Smarthings app make my life so much easier. I'm able to set and monitor my loads directly from my phone. Love getting the notifications on my smartphone/smartwatch letting me know that my load is completed. This dryer can be controlled as well from my matching washer when using the stacked features. We opted to put the units on matching pedestals. The dryer senses when the clothes are dry and doesn't let the unit run longer than needed - being more energy-efficient. There's a vent sensor that notifies when it needs cleaning. That's a great safety feature for us so we don't have any fire hazards. The light inside is so bright so we can see our laundry and not miss that sock that normally goes missing. There's a lint filter indicator and also notifies me when the lint trap needs to be cleaned. We normally clean it after every load to be more efficient. My laundry comes out so dry and warm and smells so clean.

I love my new dryer! The overall design is sleek, modern, and has definitely given my older laundry room the updated look it has needed. It is just as easy to operate as its matching washer. I love the extra large capacity which allows me to dry even my largest comforters and blankets in no time at all. It also has an abundance of cycles and settings too choose from depending on what you are drying. It also came with a shoe rack which is quite convenient for anything you prefer to rack dry. A couple of my favorite cycles are the Towels cycle which is perfect for drying my bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths, as well as the Wrinkle Away cycle which is perfect for removing wrinkles from my lightweight tops. I also love the Sensor Dry feature that automatically optimizes the time and temperature of my drying cycle. The dryer knows how long it needs to run depending on which settings and cycle you select, which allows it to be energy efficient and not run longer than it needs to. I am loving how warm, fluffy, and dry everything comes out. This dryer also has Artificial Intelligence so it will remember your most frequented cycles and settings if you want it to which is very convenient. Another unique feature this dryer has is it will run a Vent Blockage Test which will inform you if you have any lint buildup or blockages anywhere throughout your entire dryer vent that leads outside. I think this is a great dryer for anyone looking for a large capacity dryer that will run efficiently, be easy to use, and make your laundry duty much easier. The new (DVE50A8600E) Samsung dryer I received is fantastic with the AI-powered Smart Dial. It makes it a breeze to work with. Having the super speed dry helps to get the job done in 30 minutes; it really does help when needing to get out of the house in a hurry. With Covid been a factor of daily life at the moment, the steam and sanitize+ for that added peace of mind knowing that 99.9% of germs and bacteria will be killed. Having Wi-Fi connectivity is a big plus, especially for me, as I love being in control from anywhere. I was interested in the stacking option, and having the multi-control really helps instead of reaching up high; you can control the dryer from the washing machine where you can use the diel of your washer to control both units when they are stacked. I love having the sensor dry function as it really gives the dryer a mind of its own and can really help save from over-drying your clothes, and having a large capacity really does help get the work done quickly so I am very satisfied with the capacity of the dryer. Having the 19 preset dry cycles really helps for easy decision-making when drying the clothes my favorite dry cycle is the normal setting. Having the 5 temperature settings and 5 dry levels really gives the power of how you want your clothes dried. This Samsung dryer is amazing, it doesn't even make noise when is drying, and we love all the features, like the drying rack, steam, be able to choose the cycles we used more often, like towels, bedding, heavy-duty, is just amazing! I really like that is connected to the app smart things from Samsung, it notify me when my laundry is done to get it out of the dryer, and since my laundry room is in the basement this is perfect, I don't have to go downstairs to check the laundry or forgot about it, I also get notifications on my Samsun tv, so amazing things I am still trying to find out. I can also hear the music when the laundry is done, which is new for us, the dryer design is amazing, wife is happy, my wife is so happy, happy wife happy life!

I love this dryer! The design is sleek and the color is more of an ivory. It has so many features, like the washer. My favorite feature is the the WiFi capability, so I know when my clothes are done! This dryer is so high tech it's amazing, because it allows me to choose the cycle I need for the current situation at hand. It even has a way to remove wrinkles, so now I don't have to iron as much. This Samsung dryer also comes with a rack that, at first I was unsure what to do with, but after reading through the manual I was able to learn more about my new dryer. I'm still trying to get the hand on this new dryer and all the amazing features. I notice that if I don't put it in for long enough, some of the heavier clothes aren't drying completely. The best feature of all is the lint reminder. It always makes me check before each cycle, or it alerts me when it needs to be cleaned. How awesome is that?! My next cycle I will try the Sensor Dry and see if it works better than the preset cycles. #TheInsiders

I’m a huge geek and I so love this washer and dryer we purchased. They needed to be stacked to

fit great inside our closet that previously housed our 15 year old washer dryer combo unit we had. We took the door off the closet to accommodate them, but they look beautiful and match nicely with the surrounding kitchen. These units connect to WiFi and let you know the progress of your loads and you can control them via your phone. They also talk to each other, and will default the drying cycle to match the laundry. It does take some getting used to after you’ve had the old and very traditional style washing machines. For one, these use such little water, so you’re not used to seeing your clothes being cleaned with what looks like a machine operating in error. These machines are also smart, so they adjust times automatically based on the weight of the clothes inside. Maintenance is a must also, you need to keep the water filter clean, as it will quickly collect everything from lint, to dog hair and misc crap. We clean ours once a month since we have three dogs. The units are also incredibly quiet! They don’t make all the noise our old units made and we certainly love the chimes when cycles are done instead of a harsh buzzer. I would also suggest people run the calibration routine when they get the unit... this is not the same as the self cleaning cycle which the installer will often run. The calibrate mode weighs the drum when it’s empty so it knows how much clothes you’ve put in. So love these units, it just takes a while to get used to the new way of doing clothes.

Needed to replace a broken washer and didn't want to purchase a new one. My older Samsung washer needed $400 in new parts so I was not sure what to do. I didn't want to fix this washer and it having a unforeseen issue after repairing it. For $300 dollars more I ended up getting a new washer instead. So far so good. I was glad that I could still use my existing pedestal for my 2008 or 2009 Samsung washer. I just had to make a small cut on the plastic spacer to have it fit perfectly. No need to buy another pedestal costing $400+.

Love this washer. Only complaint is that for people who have back problems or hate arching up and down while doing laundry then maybe a front load washer isnt for you. Great looking. I’ma sucker for all things blue. The app is quite clunky - but kinda neat to see what the washer is up to and alerts on the Apple Watch when things are done or near done.

The first load of laundry (a king comforter) must’ve freaked out the washer- it ran for an hour then the play / pause button started flashing. Argggg- so had to restart the wash all over again. Ran four more loads and they all seem legit. The auto dispense thing is really neat and I can already feel the sheets are super clean.

I was looking for a front load washer machine that had the latest technology and would not have issues with mildew scents. Although I’ve only have owned it for a short time, The GE washer has exceeded my expectations. It syncs to a phone application and notifies you when the washing cycle is completed.

We love it, especially the load-and-forget detergent container. You can basically dump your entire jug of liquid detergent in a receptacle, and the machine measures out the per wash amount needed.

Overall pleased; delivery team was great! Handled with care, cared about what they were doing...unfortunately before unloading it was noticed that there were two decent size dents on both lower sides towards the back of the dryer; as if something hit it and pushed the other side into something else; that made it a little difficult to stack, with the stacking kit; but it was achievable. Behind the washer plexiglass there appears to be a factory defect, some sort of line crease that is more of a visual disappointment then something that would fail functionally.

The units themselves appear to be working and do a great job; I highly recommend both washer and dryer. Dents happen; unfortunately but they do.

I honestly prefer my 11 yo Samsung set over these, unfortunately those stopped working. The washer locks and you can’t open the washer unless you turn the machine back on. It also dings constantly once you open the washer unless you turn it off. The dryer has a light on it that when you leave it open won’t turn off. The pedestals aren’t metal anymore they are a type of plastic. The washer lip also catches my kids socks and are soaking wet when you get them out. The dryer came damaged and Best Buy did a great job reordering and replacing it. Customer service was great. I hope that these last as long as my previous set.

I have the accompanying washer so I really need this dryer. The dryer works fine so far. Although it was not as easy to move it as the other Korean brand as it did not have handles on its side as the other brand. One star off mainly for the store pick-up experience. The machine is only available in my region as open box. When I picked it up, it is missing one leg. I understand it is a display item, but it says "open box - excellent". According to bestbuy, "excellent" means no missing accessories. The store staff (manager?) told me that they can do nothing at that time (it was Saturday) and suggested I go back the next Monday to order a replacement part. I did not go back as the store is a 1-hour drive from my home. Right now, an old shoe served as a leg. I would hope the machine is accurately labelled as "very good", not "excellent" and at least I could order a replacement without another 2-hour drive.

Dryer was delivered by Best Buy as promised. Delivery team has no problem to install and connect the dryer on the second floor with a lot of steps. Thank you very much. Very user-friendly menu on this top-shelf electronic device.

So far so good. I don't love the electronic buttons. It feels like it's not pushing down (sometimes have to really push it) and it feels like it could stop working at any time. I like the more clickable buttons.

We purchased and had this washer delivered and installed along with its pedestal this past Summer (2016) to replace our old Kenmore Elite (top-loading washer and dryer) units; and, I waited to post a review to make sure that we experienced their features and operation enough to post a useful review.

All-in-all, we could not have imagined a better purchase after a month of on-and-off research of online reviews and customer feedback of its specifications and features. It was a close call between these matching units and their comparable LG units in this price range. We targeted the models a next level up from the base “economy” units; but, not the highest-end versions. These units have all of the practical options that you would get in the base models, plus some enhanced features found in the higher-end models. We’d say that these units are more than just a good compromise on some added features. There are so many types of wash/dry cycles, AND you have the “luxury” options of prewash, steam, etc. that the higher models have. Plus, you’re able to customize any combination of wash settings to your preference (steam, prewash, temperature, extra rinse, extra spin, economy mode, duration of cycle, yada yada yada & etc etc etc). The capacity is generous and you can do all of your bedding items together instead of MAYBE one at a time like in the top-loaders. I’d imagine that the stainless steel drums for BOTH the washer, as well as, the dryer, (not only the washer) will probably last a very long time (even beyond porcelain) compared to coated/powder/painted steel.

The ability to pause the wash cycle and add a garment midway in the wash rather than waiting until the end is awesomely convenient. I can’t imagine having to wait as we’ve always had top-loaders in the past that by design have this feature. Dax and Kristen weren’t kidding about the convenience on those SamSung commercials for these types of units, haha!

The economy of using less electricity and water is environmentally friendly and the technology still gets our toughest wine, grass and mud stains out completely (well, we wash these stains right away and prewash separately as needed … albeit, we’ve never brave enough to have tried just “going for it” and putting that untreated or old stain directly into the wash.

The dryer has the ability of simply undoing the bolts and catch and rotating them around the drum opening 180 degrees to open in the other direction. This came in very handy as our laundry room is relatively narrow so the direction of door opening is critical to our maneuverability within the room and quick transfers of the wash from the laundry to the dryer. This probably is a common feature to front-loading dryers; but, a good one to mention! We also had the SamSung side vent kit installed so the exhaust can neatly be discharged out the side and allow for the units to be pushed essentially flush back against the wall. This is an absolute must if your laundry room is narrow. Cost of the kit isn’t overly bad: about $50 or so, plus shipping if needed.

The controls are attractive and very easy to use and read. Lights clearly indicate the settings. Operation of both the washer and dryer are very quiet and many times we need to go into the laundry room to ensure that we indeed had turned them on!

We added the Bluetooth adapter (which is a bit too pricey we feel directly from the SamSung website) to each unit; but, it’s a simple plug-in to a small plastic-covered compartment, and after downloading the smartphone app, can monitor and even control our washes while away at the office! Neat-o! Now, we just need a remotely-controlled robot to conveniently add more dirty laundry to the washer or transfer completed washes to the dryer, haha!

Yes, I’ve seen some reviews that the musical jingle at the end of the loads could be irritating. But hey, you’re able to turn them off or set them to that old-school BUZZZZZZZ!!! if you prefer, so really it’s not a big deal or even an issue at all! Just an added option to make the finish-cycle notification a bit more palatable or pleasant.

The only perhaps drawback when compared to the LG models is its footprint and depth. For the same capacity, these SamSung units are a few inches deeper, which makes a noticeable difference in our narrow room. The side vent kit negated out this concern; however, of course its purchase and installation by a professional technician needs to be considered, as applicable.

Lastly, if aesthetics is important to you, and the color would adhere to your laundry room setting, I recommend opting for the black stainless finish if you don’t mind spending $50-$100 per unit more for this appearance. We’re completely happy with the white finish; however, smudges, temporary stains and scratches/dings are relatively evident on the white units. I’d imagine that they’d be much less noticeable on the black stainless finish; but, we opted to save some money on the pair (plus their pedestals sold separately) and truly focus on the performance and operation of the units, which of course are independent of the finish. As a final note, we couldn’t be more relieved to have decided to purchase the pedestals and have them delivered and installed along with the units instead of later adding them in and having to disconnect all the piping and ductwork, then reinstalling everything (spray Windex on the tile/vinyl or concrete flooring to make sliding of the units easier and height adjustment of the screw footings at the 4 corners). The added height really saves you a lot of bending over too far and being able to place a laundry basket right below the doors and simply scoop out the laundry rather than picking everything up and lifting them into the basket or directly into the dryer is a godsend. Plus, the pedestals are just the right height to not make the overall finished units too high to make viewing and operation of the control panel a challenge if you’re average height (of course, apparently not a big deal if you’re over 6’ tall, haha!).

Don’t hesitate on acquiring these units if the price is right (time the sales well, primarily holding out to about the Independence Day Weekend if possible, as this appears to the best time of the year to get washers and dryers due to all of the competitive pricing that develops by other big box stores (Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.), as well as, even the smaller local outfits. Plus, you get the “backing” of probably better service and warranty coverages by the larger stores and the peace of mind should the smaller local store unfortunately (God forbid) go out of business at some point after your purchase.

Just bought this a month ago .Love it so the way it washes is unreal . Love everything this machine has to offer. We also bought the matching dryer. We did have a problem the first week we bought it that the front was leaking but we called geek squad and scheduled an appointment and hopefully this will get repaired this week other than that it’s perfect

We bought this in October 2020 and after 11 months we have had issue after issue with this dryer. We were told the dryer was not installed properly but since it was installed by a Best Buy approved contractor I don't know what to make of that. The power cable was not earthed and burnt out. We are lucky it did not burn down the house. The wire was completely burnt. We have had several parts changed and If we had not bought the 3 year Geek squad warranty we would have been up the creek without a paddle.

At this point, I don't think I will be buying any Samsung products anytime soon. I had a GE washing machine and dryer for 12 years with no issues

This item worked with moderate use for about 2 years, then the drum cracked. no unusual use, no large or heavy items, just a huge crack. Sharp metal from the drum protruded through and the dryer no longer spins. A replacement drum and installation will be as much as a new dryer. Geek Squad was then no help - called and was put on "hold" for 30 minutes, then dropped back in a queue, spoke to another person who just hung up on me. This is a product issue as well as Best Buy issue. I am really shocked by the poor service in this case, as I've had plenty of good experiences with Best Buy in the past.

Ordered a different set only to find out it was unavailable after waiting 3 weeks - personnel took care of us with a better set and even lower price - this set was my first choice but the price difference drove me to the lower model so we are more than happy with the out come! Added the pedestals for added height easy access to laundry.

Dryer works awesome. Does take a little longer to dry than my old model did, both are electric. But those ancient artifact dryers are hard to beat, inefficient or not. The pair look great I’m still in the process over building and finishing, but I’m happy with them.

We are in love with our new Samsung Dryer! As with our matching washer, we chose the Ivory color with stainless accents that keeps the dryer looking very modern. The Smart dial learns your routines and puts your regular used settings first. The dryer drys the clothes very fast compared to our previous Samsung model. The steam feature allows me to freshen up an article of clothing to take out the wrinkles quickly. The wifi features paired with the Smarthings app make my life so much easier. I'm able to set and monitor my loads directly from my phone. Love getting the notifications on my smartphone/smartwatch letting me know that my load is completed. This dryer can be controlled as well from my matching washer when using the stacked features. We opted to put the units on matching pedestals. The dryer senses when the clothes are dry and doesn't let the unit run longer than needed - being more energy-efficient. There's a vent sensor that notifies when it needs cleaning. That's a great safety feature for us so we don't have any fire hazards. The light inside is so bright so we can see our laundry and not miss that sock that normally goes missing. There's a lint filter indicator and also notifies me when the lint trap needs to be cleaned. We normally clean it after every load to be more efficient. My laundry comes out so dry and warm and smells so clean.

And very easy to use. The dryer does everything but fold the clothes! I never liked to wash clothes before but now I don’t mind it!

I love my new dryer! The overall design is sleek, modern, and has definitely given my older laundry room the updated look it has needed. It is just as easy to operate as its matching washer. I love the extra large capacity which allows me to dry even my largest comforters and blankets in no time at all. It also has an abundance of cycles and settings too choose from depending on what you are drying. It also came with a shoe rack which is quite convenient for anything you prefer to rack dry. A couple of my favorite cycles are the Towels cycle which is perfect for drying my bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths, as well as the Wrinkle Away cycle which is perfect for removing wrinkles from my lightweight tops. I also love the Sensor Dry feature that automatically optimizes the time and temperature of my drying cycle. The dryer knows how long it needs to run depending on which settings and cycle you select, which allows it to be energy efficient and not run longer than it needs to. I am loving how warm, fluffy, and dry everything comes out. This dryer also has Artificial Intelligence so it will remember your most frequented cycles and settings if you want it to which is very convenient. The new (DVE50A8600E) Samsung dryer I received is fantastic with the AI-powered Smart Dial. It makes it a breeze to work with. Having the super speed dry helps to get the job done in 30 minutes; it really does help when needing to get out of the house in a hurry. With Covid been a factor of daily life at the moment, the steam and sanitize+ for that added peace of mind knowing that 99.9% of germs and bacteria will be killed. Having Wi-Fi connectivity is a big plus, especially for me, as I love being in control from anywhere. I was interested in the stacking option, and having the multi-control really helps instead of reaching up high; you can control the dryer from the washing machine where you can use the diel of your washer to control both units when they are stacked. I love having the sensor dry function as it really gives the dryer a mind of its own and can really help save from over-drying your clothes, and having a large capacity really does help get the work done quickly so I am very satisfied with the capacity of the dryer. Having the 19 preset dry cycles really helps for easy decision-making when drying the clothes my favorite dry cycle is the normal setting. Having the 5 temperature settings and 5 dry levels really gives the power of how you want your clothes dried. Bought these for a smaller house and the washer works great. Run time has been pretty standard (about an hour for regular loads) and it runs fairly quiet. I’m trying to do better with these and actually keeping the seals dry so it doesn’t start to smell and so far it’s worked.

Excellent space saver with a multitude of features. Grat wadhing cycles, operates very quite and uses minimum water.

This washer does a much better job than the "GE" washer it replaces. Think quieter (with caveats), vibrates less during extraction, and the clothes not as soggy.

However this unit does this thing where it pulses when filling the drum and then makes some weird noises during the beginning of the cycle. After that it pretty quiet even during extracting. And it looks pretty cool.

Washes and spins well. Easy to clean, operation is straightforward - you can hook it up with your phone to see how much time is left, remote start, pause, etc. Lots of settings and the option to download others from the app. Fairly quiet when it isn't spinning/pumping water, and not too bad then either. The filter is easy to clean and the detergent drawer has slots for softener, prewash/main wash, etc. Plugs into a normal 3 prong outlet, but the dryer needs a special outlet. Delivery was great.

Keep in mind capacity is small. I was surprised how small when it came, but have adjusted to it quickly as one person. I think for a large family this could be hard. The reason it's small, as I understand it, is because the dryer can only take so much volume; so on top of the drum itself being small, you're only meant to fill it halfway. This isn't an issue for me because it's true of all condenser washer/dryer pairs. But keep it in mind and see it in person/watch videos if you can.

Less then a week and a handful of washes but this is so much better than my previous. To start with I have a VERY limited space in a less then normal closet. But the previous washer drum was 2 and now 2.4. A much noticeable size difference for the load capacity. Much more quite and the spin cycle dries the laundry much better than my older one.

It does a very good job, if you agree with their program. If you want to change anything, lots of Luck! I found this very disappointing! I prefer cold water for colors, but it is hard to change.

We just LOVE our new Samsung dryer. We have had it for about a month now and no complaints.

I like it but it doesn't seem to dry clothes as efficiently as I would like. I'm not sure if there needs to be some adjustments but I need to call to have someone look at it. Most often an item in the middle of the clothes remains damp but the sensor says the clothes are dry.

Also when I try the refresh option the clothes are too damp

Very happy with this purchase is far. First front load washer I have owned, my wife has been wanting one for years so here we are. Appreciate the high efficiency of this washer, and picked it up on sale for a huge savings.

Carlos Mendoza was excellent. He was kind and patient with us while selecting our appliances. On the other hand, Ken, another manager in appliances department has been very rude and careless to myself and few of my neighbors on multiple occasions. He doesn’t even get up from his chair. We have been using Best Buy for ten years. He is the worst sale person I ever met in my life. He has no respect for customers at all.

Quality product. After having LG washers and dryers for years (the last just a few years ago) decided to go with Samsung. Glad I did. The LG had a mushroom valve that can leak sappy water. This washer doesn’t appear to have that “feature”. The pedestal stands are nice. The only thing is, there is a bit more space between the top of the stand and the bottom of the washer/dryer. Not a big deal once in place. Pretty music gets old after awhile so it can be disabled.

I love this front load washer with a 5 inch drum. Can wash more clothes at one time I can wait a couple of day between weekly washes. Great job samsung

I like the moisture sensor which makes it so efficient and energy saver, I would recommend it

Love this machine. The pedistal was worth it. We also have the Samsung family hub fridge and my kids like watching the wash on the screen too. The drum has lots of space and it’s nice that it communicates with the matching dryer too to set the correct cycle based on what is in the washer. The app helps too if your not sure of the right setting and has many more cycles available

Simply put it does its job and it does it very well. Compared to the 7 yr old LG front loader it replaced, the "normal" cycles seem to take a bit longer, but it cleans the clothes so much better on those cycles it's worth it. Even with the dirtiest loads, we haven't had to use any special setting to get the clothes clean.

Oh, and that silly front door you can open during a load? Well it's great, finally some revenge for that one sock i kept dropping on the way to wash clothes that would always wait for the next load. NO MORE hahahaha.

I bought this washer from the Best Buy Outlet store in my area and initially thought I'd gotten a really bad deal as the washer started making a horrendous noise during the first use. Upon opening up the back of the washer, though, I found out that all that'd happened is that a little plastic circuit board cover had come loose and was banging up against the drum. Putting the plastic cover back in place solved the problem and now the washer is running perfect! The only thing I'll note is that the little "toss it in while washing" door does have a sensor on it and will pause the cycle if you open it. No big deal as you just need to hit the start button again to resume the cycle, but still just an odd bit..

Beyond satisfied with this smart washer. Drum is bigger than I expected and it's cleans so well. Clothes nearly dry when load is done. Machine runs so quietly I forget I'm doing laundry. Bonus music reminder that you load is complete. Awesome Purchase

Trust me. I bought this washer because the blue color in the drum attracted. I could have bought other washers if I had known it does not have fancy glow as seen in picture. Anyways overall I am happy because I got it on sale and did not pay full price.

My 14 year old front loader just broke down - after a comedy of errors turned out the washer we originally ordered was discontinued and no longer available - store made things right with us (we had waited 3 weeks for our new set) by upgrading to this model and matched the price we had paid for the lower model - live this set both in the way it performs and it’s appearance! We bought the pedestals to give them height so we don’t need to bend over to get the laundry in & out

I love this washer, got it to match my dryer. Its super fancy.

Installation went smoothly with the exception of me needing to move the catch pan location 9" to the right and relocate the drain hole so the washer door would open fully. You will be required to buy a new set of braided water hoses ($29.99) if Best Buy does the installation.

As already known, it takes much longer to wash a load of clothes vs a top load. The clothes are as clean as the top load was. Nothing better or worse.

The LG design wizards missed the boat on the location of the washer filter/drain tube (door) location. Per building code, washers are to be placed inside a catch pan with drain. The lip on the catch pan blocks the filter door from opening. Should have left off 2/3 of the useless settings and spent another couple bucks on moving this door up 5".

I intend on removing the door entirely so I can remove/clean the filter per the manual. We will never use the majority of the vast array of settings or the wi-fi. When it stops washing, its done. I don't need washer info sent to my phone.... some millennial in need of constant attention thought that was a good idea?

It's an over priced washer that appears to use less water and gets our clothes clean in about twice the time as our previous top load. *Make sure you have provisions to leave the washer door partially open all the time in between uses or mold will form.

Have had this washer for 6 weeks - using it several times a week - and am still very happy with it. My only concern has to do with its installation. As BB installers were leaving, they gave me some sort of legs/pegs and said I could use those to balance it... the top loader we replaced had off-balance problems and I'd assumed this was installed to prevent that. I'm a small, 70 yr old woman so I won't be hoisting it up to put something under it. Wonder is it supposed to have these under it? Photo attached of all the leftovers after installation - red circle around the legs to use to level (?).

Washes clothes much better than my previous top loader with less water. I don’t think the upgraded turbo model would be any different from my current needs judging by the price difference. The menu screen is not as illuminated but my laundry room is well lt.

I particularly like the Wi-Fi compatibility as it is very convenient to access the features through the smart phone app. Contrary to what the instructions say, the Wi-Fi CAN log in to the 5G home router’s network. It just takes a little more ingenuity paring it during setup. I’m glad I made the right pick after doing an on line and Consumer Reports research.

II LOVE MY MACHINE but if your connection is under the sink PLEASE make sure that you have. Someone there to properly install your machine.

So the machine itself it’s beautiful, the size is perfect for even nice size comforters to be washed... the one thing that i don’t like, and that’s why the 4 stars, it’s that is a bit noisy, much louder than the one we had before, but other than that, it’s been perfect overall, the setting are very easy to maneuver.

The washer works great. Installers tried twice to set u internet but no dice. Also the screen on the front is a crime. Who let this thing pass initial drawings? Screen cannot be read without a flashlight - anytime! There is no backlight and that is just unbelievable! Fire the person that approved this! But like I said - the washer works great - as long as you have a flashlight to set it up!

This was a first open box purchase for me. I was a bit effy about it but now more than a year down line after proper testing,my conclusion is that I would do it again. It Works and looks great.

Bought this machine when it went on sale in November. It’s now June and I still love this machine. My only complaint is that the top of it scratches really easy if you put stuff on top of it.

Came with a dent at bottom. It dries good so far though.

Scratches VERY easily!!!!!!!!!

First day we had it we found scratches on it and exchange it. With the first day or two of having the replacement unit we had the scratches in the pictures on it after telling everyone not to put anything on it. We think a laundry basket causes the scratches as that was the only thing anyone put on the dryer prior to finding the scratches on the replacement unit. Wish they would put some clear protective layer on them to help prevent scratches. I have a brand new washer and dryer set we hope to have for around 10yrs with scratches on them both (washer not as bad)

The washer cleans great. It is also quiet when spinning. The capacity is very large and I can reach the bottom of the drum.

We have had our new Samsung washer for about a month now and it is awesome. I love the different cycle options, the steam cycle, and the deep washer basin for my larger comforters. The instruction manual even has a great illustration of how to fold your large comforters to wash them correctly so they do not cause an inbalance in the drum. If you are short like I am reaching the bottom of this unit can be tricky, but I just have a handy tool nearby to help reach any items that are out of my reach. Overall it is a wonderful washer and my clothes smell amazing! My old washer left a strong smell of mildew in our clothes no matter what we did and this washer has removed that smell from all the towels and clothes. Super impressed.

The machine is pretty, clothes are clean, nice and quiet. I thought there would be more of a learning curve, but it is quite easy to use. No quirks to complain about, I am happy.

I never thought I would brag about the appearance of my washer, but here I am. It is a great machine and does more than I can dream of. Takes a little getting use to coming from my old washer as far as technology goes but there’s ton of videos about it online.

What a great choice of washer. Aside from having a very nice color, the washer is huge an so quiet too. It meets our needs in washing comforter and any other big stuff that we need to wash.

Great machine--easy to use, cleans thoroughly. Be careful if you have shelves above your washer and dryer--when the lid is completely open, it does stick up about 19". We had some room to spare so we just moved the washer away from the back wall about 6" so it would clear our shelf. I do love this washer and am considering the matching dryer because it's so sexy!

Although some reviews complained about noise, I don't believe it's overly loud at all. I didn't know what Black Chrome was because Corona made me do everything online. It looks like car paint with black metallic flakes in it. Really sleek looking... Love the delayed end feature. I prefer this washer over my front-load LG. Overall, I really love this product and have zero regrets of my purchase. Additionally, Best Buy made the pick up of my washer very simple.

Our last washer was a front-loading Whirlpool, the wife liked it in the beginning but even adding a pedestal, she grew to dislike the washer, so when it started leaking after 12 years of use, we went shopping for a new washer, a top-loader. I read a lot of reviews, maybe too many but the Samsung seemed to have the highest rating out of all of the other washers! First of all, this washer can handle some really big loads of laundry, even a queen size thick comforter. It has an automatic water level control depending on how much laundry you put into it and then you have a choice of the auto fill or deep fill. Deep fill only works on 80% of the selections such as heavy loads, whites and short/light cleaning. It also has a selection of spin speeds, temperature setting for wash only as all rinses are cold, this little drawback is what gives the washer its energy star rating. The clothes come out nice and clean, fresh-smelling, so it does a pretty good job but I am still not convinced that it agitates the clothes good enough but I have not had any issues with stains of dirt remaining on the clothes! One more thing is that this washer is so quiet, you can barely hear it running in the basement even if you are in the basement. We have owned it for the last 6 weeks and I am pleased with the washer in general, I just wished it had some warmer rinse cycles.

Not fingerprint resistant as advertised. It’s a fingerprint magnet. It’s literally covered in noticeable fingerprints. So, wiping them off constantly is a little annoying. That, and the end of cycle chime sounds like a Nokia ringtone circa 2003 that plays for a whole minute straight. Yeah, you can disable that but then you get no notification letting you know your clothes are done. Why can’t there be an option to have it just ding a couple times? Something more equivalent to a text message sound rather than a whole Yankee Doodle length ringtone that makes you want to rip off your ears like 20 seconds into it. Options, Samsung. That’s all we’re asking for... options.

Of course you need the matching dryer to go with it, but I love this machine. The top load with quite frankly the largest tub I have seen is amazing and efficient. It senses everything from load size to balance and the water proof setting will clean things like the giant pet cover from the back seat of an SUV and make it look like new. You can't go wrong. I picked white because of both availability and price. and while all of my other appliances are stainless, the white looks beautiful in my laundry room and the savings was worth it.

Had LG always before and switched to Samsung. Got rid of it, never will I ever buy a different brand of washer & dryer. Best brand on the market today for the money.

Love all the programs and a breeze to do the laundry.

Worst machine I’ve ever had. It rips and shreds your clothes. LG repair contractors have tried to fix it 6 times. It still rips clothes. LG refuses to acknowledge its machine is damaging clothes and won’t refund

/replace. I am throwing out this brand new unit because it has caused over $800 of damage to our clothes. It is cheaper to throw this unit in the garbage and buy a different brand. Which is what I’m doing now.

After using my previous landlord's LG washer for 6 years, I decided to purchase the LG brand for my new house. This washer is exceptional, with so many settings you can be sure you are using the most efficient amount of water and electricity. The washer is extremely quiet. The steam feature is a delight. Clothes exit the washer smelling fresh. There is even an allergy setting. I can't think of a single thing that LG left out. I also purchased the matching gas dryer. The pair have changed my world for the better.

I love this washing machine. Keeps my clothing nice and soft and has many modes to choose from. The sensor indicated how much clothing you have in it and sets the appropriate time which you can manually adjust if needed. Very quiet and durable. Smart washing device that also syncs to the app on your phone.

Great for large loads of a quick 15 minute Turbo Wash.

This is a great washer, and I have had TEN different machines in the last two years in my journey to find one that works as well as my old Whirlpool Duet purchased in 2004 (lasted 13 years). I will say this with certainty – DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG. Samsung will break down and will NOT last.

DISPLAY - first of all, many complaints on the display not being bright enough – yes it is NOT back-lit but if you have a decent amount of light in your laundry area, you should be okay. If you have a very dimly lit area, you may have an issue. Go to the store, see it in person, and then decide.

SOUND – I tried two other LG model in the last two years, both were EXTREMELY loud during the spin sounding like a jackhammer and the part of the cycle where the machine adjusts itself to balance the load (prior to fully spinning) was loud as well with much ‘thumping’. This machine, night and day…. It adjusts to balance the load very well prior to spinning with very light thumping noises and the spin itself is fairly smooth and quiet, you will hear a little slight vibration like nose during high spin, but it’s not going to reverberate across the whole house. Very pleased with the sound. It is possible the last two units were not 100% level, but Geek Squad installed/set them up, so I assume they were very close, perhaps LG machines have a smaller tolerance for being level? I do not know for sure. The loudest part of this washer I personally notice is the sound of water when directed through the soap dispenser - and when clothes with buttons/buckles hit the glass door (I must kind of tune out the spinning I guess). The spin on high does have high-pitched sound/whine to it but is expected and no louder than my previous washers. There have been reports of water hammer – I can say it is louder than my other washers were when the water valve closes, however in my case I would not say its water hammer, the valve does close rather abruptly though. Just something to know about.

WASHING ABILITY seems very good; I leave the TurboWash on. So the claim of five jets… There are only 4 used in the TurboWash, you’ll see four little gray ears on the door gasket, those are the jets. There is one little orange jet at the top of the door gasket, it’s design is to trickle water down the inside of the glass door during the rinse cycle to rinse soap off the door, I do not believe it has a design for steam as some has said. This orange jet is not connected to the recirculating pump. I called LG directly to verify this orange jet’s purpose prior to purchasing, and believe you me it was difficult to get anyone to comment correctly on the orange jet, but after three inquiries, the LG techs assured me that its main purpose was to rinse soap off the door. Why do you ask, is this important? Well, the WM3700 was one model I tried prior to the WM3900. With the WM3700 there was hair/dirt on the door after washing because that model did not have ANY jets in the lower door seal let alone at the top of the seal to rinse the door glass and seal. My clothes were never that dirty in the first place to warrant dirt and hair to be left on the door glass and gasket after EACH wash (none of the other machines I have owned did this); because of this, I did not feel that WM3700 model effectively washed my clothes, it was really kind of disgusting. With the WM3900, I have only seen a few hairs on the door, one load in about 20, and the door gasket itself appears to be clean after washing. My clothes are getting clean, so win-win.

WATER USAGE – this machine uses very little water but with TurboWash it really powers dirt out of your clothes. The clothes always get wet/dripping during wash and rinse, so I feel it does well with water usage as that has been a complaint on some front loaders where the clothes are not tumbled in enough water, and so people feel they are not coming clean. The friction of clothes against each other with soap added is what gets the clothes clean, it is not the presences of a ton of water. This is also why when people add too much soap, the clothes really do not get clean as the clothes will glide over each other because of excess suds versus scrubbing against one another. However, you do want to see water dripping from your clothes to allow the soap to work correctly, and this machine delivers that.

SOAP USAGE – I use Tide HE powdered, and for a FULL load no more than two tablespoons. With this I can see a few soap bubbles going down the door glass after the wash cycle gets fully going but I don’t see actual ‘suds’ (hence the low sudsing aspect of the soap). You can use liquid soap, but there are inert fillers in liquid soap that end up coating the inside your washer that can contribute to the ‘smell’ that can happen in front load washers. A drawback of the powdered soap in this machine is after the wash and rinse; I will actually see a small amount of soap/foam at the bottom of the drum. A Best Buy appliance associate told me this is caused by the high-speed spinning and TurboWash jets finding any undissolved powdered soap and then will whip it up after the rinse and final spin, so I’ve been adding a second rinse to mitigate that. We have really, really soft water so I need to back off the amount of soap I am using, I’ve just not quite got that figured out yet as we’ve only had the washer for a little over three weeks. I would rather error on the side of having a bit more soap versus having my clothes come out without being washed correctly. I think with soft water I need to go to about 1.5 Tbsp per full load and for half loads maybe right at 1 Tbsp.

SMELL - that front loader ‘funky’ smell – this is a new machine so no complaint yet but you should always leave the door wide open if your space permits. I have had front load washers for 15 years and have never had an issue with odor since I leave the door wide open. I do not even wipe off the door seals although the manuals says you should.

CYCLE TIMES – on Normal with the default settings adding TurboWash and an extra rinse, expect the display to say 1:07 or something along those lines. The machines still seems to wash in more like 50-55 minutes actual time (your experience may vary). I read the manual for my first load, so it said for a full load use the “heavy” soil setting with an extra rinse. FOR ALL THAT IS GOOD DO NOT DO THIS. So two hours and twenty minutes later, my clothes finally finished. If my clothes need that long to get clean, I would have just thrown them away, seriously. I will say the bad thing about knowing how long a cycle is when setting to wash is the ‘sensing’ feature had to occur before it will display a time, so in the case of my first load, I did not know what the time setting was until it actually started washing. My Whirlpool and Samsung machines would give a ‘guestimate’ of time when a certain cycle/soil level/extra rinse was selected, but not this machine. I would say you should be prepared to stand there and stop it when playing with settings until you know what the typical time is. That way if you are in a hurry and using a new cycle, at least stand there long enough for it to display the time so you will have a chance to stop it and adjust it if necessary.

AESTHETICS/BUILD – dial feels solid BUT the door has that plastic pretty looking cover that makes a cheap plastic squeaking/scrunching sounds when you close the door. The WM3700 had it beat in this respect, I do not know why LG felt it has to make it pretty with cheap plastic skin, but they could have left that cover off and repeated the design of the WM3700 and it would have been perfect. I am overlooking this flaw as I do love how the WM3900 machine works. The door hinge seems solid and the door handle easy to grab for opening. Since I leave the washer door wide open to dry between loads, when I pull out the soap dispenser tray I can get it out far enough to add soap without hitting the door. On prior LG models, you would have to shut the door a bit to pull out the soap dispenser tray are enough to add soap because the bottom of the tray would hit the top of the washer door otherwise.

CYCLES - this machine does have a “Drain and spin” setting which is rare on front loaders but it is nice to have if you need it.

OTHER - you can adjust the end of cycle sound up/down as needed, it is pleasant. To see what settings/options were last used on a prior load, ‘jog’ the dial one click. If I do not jog the dial, I can’t confirm that my TurboWash and Extra Rinse is still on by looking after I hit the power button, and I’m not a trusting person of washing machines (10 in two years ha ha). I have not explored the SmartThinkQ ability and figure I probably could default Normal to my customization but just have not tried that yet.

If you would like to see this washer in action and its internal workings, there is a really nice gentleman making YouTube videos of different washer models. He just did a video on this machine with a tear down of the unit and then he did the Speed Wash. He is promising more videos on other cycles soon of the WM3900 (he normally does real loads like towels and also work pants). I have found YouTube a very good resource for seeing how machines perform/sound prior to getting them home. I am not sure I can name him directly in a review since he is a promoting a furniture and appliance business, but if you search YouTube for LG WM3900, you should find it easily enough.

LG is touted to be very reliable, so I’m hoping that is the outcome but I did buy Geek Squad protection just in case. I had to ‘lemon’ law my last Samsung set, so the protection plan was well worth the purchase as well as covering the multiple repairs made to both the Samsung washer and dryer prior to being considered lemons. That should tell you something about Samsung – BOTH the washer and dryer qualified for replacement.

I have done quite a bit of research on washing machines along with trial and error, so I hope this review helps you!

LG washers are great. This is the second done my wife and I have owned. No issues. Love the load sensing so it adjusts the cycle shorter or longer based on how much you've added to the washer. Just don't forget to measure the front to back and account for the water hoses. The side by side wasn't an issue but the hoses stuck out farther than the older model in the new house, and it barely fit. The angled connection does help a bit.

Purchased dryer with matching washer with stacking kit and was installed by Geek Squad. After install & test run was completed by Geek Squad a small load of laundry was washed and put in dryer. Dryer is very quiet. Laundry came out completely dried with no damp spots found. Dryer is not difficult to program for whatever your drying needs are.

The washer has so many more settings than my old Bosch. Having done only a few loads of laundry-- so far, so good.

I'm not a fan of ventless electric dryers, but don't have the option to choose otherwise. This one is absolutely an improvement over my old bosch.

I really don't like BOSCH (they weren't my choice 8 years ago. Washer died after 8 years. I'm only one person. It shouldn't have died that quickly).

I've had GE in the past, far superior construction.

This is a STAR Energy dryer which is what I am looking for to save energy. I like the white color. It is stackable with the matching washer - a plus!

This under counter dryer holds way more than expected--if you have been to Europe, you'll understand that this model does not need a hose vented for the air. It collects the moisture from the clothing into a tray/reservoir drawer that you empty after each load.

Installers did not know about the Dryer and ran out without completing the installation.

I purchased this product to replace an older unit. This dryer is much quieter and more efficient. As always, GE products are one of the best in terms of quality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a new dryer.

It took 4 months to get the product but once it arrived and installed, it was easy to use. The dryer also takes a little longer to dry compared to our previous vent dryer. We are pleased with our purchase.

I’m a huge geek and I so love this washer and dryer we purchased. They needed to be stacked to

fit great inside our closet that previously housed our 15 year old washer dryer combo unit we had. We took the door off the closet to accommodate them, but they look beautiful and match nicely with the surrounding kitchen. These units connect to WiFi and let you know the progress of your loads and you can control them via your phone. They also talk to each other, and will default the drying cycle to match the laundry. It does take some getting used to after you’ve had the old and very traditional style washing machines. For one, these use such little water, so you’re not used to seeing your clothes being cleaned with what looks like a machine operating in error. These machines are also smart, so they adjust times automatically based on the weight of the clothes inside. Maintenance is a must also, you need to keep the water filter clean, as it will quickly collect everything from lint, to dog hair and misc crap. We clean ours once a month since we have three dogs. The units are also incredibly quiet! They don’t make all the noise our old units made and we certainly love the chimes when cycles are done instead of a harsh buzzer. I would also suggest people run the calibration routine when they get the unit... this is not the same as the self cleaning cycle which the installer will often run. The calibrate mode weighs the drum when it’s empty so it knows how much clothes you’ve put in. So love these units, it just takes a while to get used to the new way of doing clothes.

Needed to replace a broken washer and didn't want to purchase a new one. My older Samsung washer needed $400 in new parts so I was not sure what to do. I didn't want to fix this washer and it having a unforeseen issue after repairing it. For $300 dollars more I ended up getting a new washer instead. So far so good. I was glad that I could still use my existing pedestal for my 2008 or 2009 Samsung washer. I just had to make a small cut on the plastic spacer to have it fit perfectly. No need to buy another pedestal costing $400+.

My husband and I are loving every moment with our new laundry pair! (washer and dryer ). It is so convenient for us. No more trips to the laundromat. FINALLY!!!

Love this washer. Only complaint is that for people who have back problems or hate arching up and down while doing laundry then maybe a front load washer isnt for you. I love that this washer can be hooked up to the Smart things app and notifies me of when my laundry is done and when the washer needd to be cleaned. It also has many different washing settings

This Samsung dryer and it's maching washing machine were exactly what we were looking for! The smart function are good at letting you know when the cycle is complete by notification on your smartphone. We were surprised that we could get "smart" machines within our price range. We love using them, and how nice they look in our home. Good Job Samsung!

Love my new dryer! Paid a little more for the graphite color, but worth it since it’s visible in our hallway. We had an LG dryer at our last house and thought it was good quality, functioned well—never had a problem with it in the 5 yrs we had it, but left it behind with the washer for the new owner. I was happy to buy another LG dryer for our new home. We’ve had this one for about a month and I’ve had no problems.

Now that I have had my dryer awhile, I can report it is best I ever owned. So many settings, large capacity, and love the tune it plays when clothes are dry instead of the horrible loud buzzer others had.

This is our second LG dryer. We liked our LG dryer at our previous house and we knew we wanted one for the new house. We have no regrets. We also purchased the pedestal to go withe the dryer.

This is a great purchase, spend the extra $ to get the pedastal if not bend down will kill your back- in Store it’s elevated but when you get home and it’s just on the floor it’s way too low. I went back to purchase a pedestal for both units and it made all the difference in the world

This was a washer/dryer going into a rental property. We had the dryer stored until we could come install it. When we arrived, the dryer had a big scratch/dent in the lower front. Alas, a new item that already looks used.

If the dryer actually turns off the clothes are never dry. The rest of the time it displays one minute left and never turns off. I have the matching washer which leaks. The repair person asked me if I smelled gas because my dryer wasn’t hooked up properly. After he left I saw scratches on the front of my dryer. Just received on 09/06/2019 and nothing but problems!

Very satisfied with the product, but the delivery was unsatisfactory. I explained my natural gas setup in my home during my purchase. Was told that it was no problem, the installer would take care of it. Waited 10 days for delivery and was told my shut off valve was in the wrong place, (about 5 ft from dryer), they would not install. Dryer taken away. Had shut off moved, rescheduled delivery for a week later. Installers arrived and then said they would not connect with copper source line. Interesting that the gas company, who was in my home, never said this is the case. Called my husband to inform him of the issue, and to come home immediately. Funny that the install issue disappeared and they were connecting the dryer as he arrived home. So I’m wondering, since it was a different crew for the second appointment, if perhaps it’s just easier to give the homeowner some excuse, and push it off on a different crew at another new appointment? Or was it because they didn’t want to give my husband the same excuse that I got? I only know that their attitude changed immediately upon hearing me on the phone with him. As I said, product is good- have always trusted Maytag, no matter who sells it, but this install was frustrating and ridiculous. My advice, for what it’s worth, don’t let Best Buy install your product.

Set for a front loader on a pedestal and began research on all the options. This model fit the bill: manual controls, all the basic dryer functions as default but easy to change to more advanced settings and Maytag had good reviews of product reliability.

After using the dryer for a few months will comment on it's use: it does a good job. To understand all it's functions you need to download the full pdf, the paper instructions are just basic and does not go into real detail on the functions.

One important step in the setup is the make sure the installers properly secure the washer to the pedestal and use an actual level to make sure the feet are level and then lock them in place.

This is my first gas dryer and I love it. It has multiple settings from which to choose; way more versatile than any of my old electric dryers. I especially like that the controls are on the front, just above the door. Now I don’t have to reach over any stuff I have piled on top to get to the controls at the back.

We weren't informed of it on the website nor when we picked it up. It was completely bubble wrapped when we picked it up so we weren't able to look at it then. We are keeping it, but felt a bit deceived, especially for the cost of it.

Nice large capacity washer by Samsung. Although I had to wait for two months for it. It's quieter and has less vibration force when spinning while the clothes come out just as dry. The only downside is that it has more plastic than stainless steel to it compared to my prior Samsung washer. At least by looking at the exterior. Overall it's a nice product.

i have owned this washer since nov 2019...works good...size of the washer is better than the 4.5cu..my main problem with this washer is for the water temp setting depending on temp setting is how long it will run... hot runs for like 2 hours which is annoying because its not always necessary to run that long...i could care less for the wifi setting/program to run from my phone just because its serves me no purpose...its a MUST TO LEAVE THE DOOR/AND DETERGENT SLOT OPEN or CRACKED OPEN for the life of me u will NOT be able to clean the black residue that builds up in the detergent slot and rubber ring inside your washer if u do not follow these simple rules learn this from the first front loader i own which also was a samsung...it has a self clean/sanitizing mode that automatically runs after to many washed not truly sure what it does or if i have to buy a special cleaner/santizing refresher for the front loader...but overall so far its been good to me...

Absolutely love this washer and dryer set. The sleek look, the functionality, it's quiet, large load capacity, multiple setting options, washes and dries a lot faster than my old set and the syncing to your phone function is pretty useful, too!

Purchased the 10 cycle version and then decided to upgrade to this 12cycle dryer for the additional $50 you get 2 more options plus wi-fi operation. So far so good. Sales person (William at Gurnee store) was fantastic. He took care of all my questions and order changes without “batting an eyelash”!

Delivery got pushed out a week as a result of my changes but now that it is installed it works great. Still haven’t figured out how to get the wi-fi working though. Could use more help from setup guys explaining the functions. Delivered with some minor dents on the side - called BB and they knocked off over $100! Sweet! Very pleased with sales and service.

Recommend Samsung appliances to anyone looking. Stay AWAY from Maytag products. Since being bought out they are junk!

I was a bit reluctant as this was an open boxed item, even though it was rated “open box excellent,” I’d never purchased open box anything before. However, not a single scratch or dent on it, which not only surprised, but also impressed me. The dryer operates amazingly…dries quickly on every setting I’ve used thus far, impressively quiet and oh so many drying options/features. There’s no way you’ll ever have wrinkled clothing again, as the steam and refresh options compete with an Iron. Highly recommended purchase.

I recently purchased both washer and dryer units, Having only owned them for about 2 weeks, I have used them a handful of times. So far I am obsessed with them, and impressed with the many features they offer. They are definitely a huge upgrade to the models who don’t have WiFi capability. WiFi alone has simplified my past laundry process, which in addition saves me so much time now that I can view the cycle stages and the time frames, from my phone. What’s not to love about the alerts? Lifesavers sums all the benefits.

I decided to get this model over a cheaper one from GE with less features and settings. The steam functions are what drew me to it. The capacity is very large. It has no problem with a heavy king size mattress pad or comforter. It’s a gas dryer so it’s pretty efficient. We stacked these to save space. I’m not very tall but I don’t have problems using the knobs and interface to tweak settings. We had Geek Squad do the delivery and installation. Good service and a quick demo. Gas is more expensive than electric but if it won’t be too uncomfortable financially, it’s a better choice. I would recommend this product.

Highly recommend this GE washer/dryer combo. Dryer works great and dries a whole lot better than our old Kenmore Elite. Lots of options too (add more time, less time, etc). The size is great as it can dry large comforters which normally I would take to the laundromat because of their size. Only small annoyance is the lint screen- the design is strange and makes it difficult to remove the lint easily. Other than that, it works great!

Pretty dang good dryer, work great along with my washer! They hook up to the wifi's and let me know when the clothes are done. I guess they also talking to each other. Washer tells the dryer, hey this is the type of clothes and this is how ya gotta dry them. Better the any of them LG products, LG's customers service is terrible and they try not to honor there warranties, trust me. Stick with brands that been around awhile.

Dryer has many options for various fabrics. I really like the lint catcher, it opens so you can easily clean out the lint. I was able to dry a king size comforter and still have a lot of room. Haven't used steam seeing yet to share review. Really like the color. Machine has many settings which can seem difficult to operate but it is fairly easy to figure out. Best dryer I have owned would recommend.

I wasn't sure about getting a GE washer and dryer. You mostly see reviews for Samsung and LG. But, I love them! The dryer looks great, runs very well, and has several choices for clothes type and drying time.

When they installed my dryer and after that I opened the dryer. I didn’t see the light bulb inside dryer.

Water gets into the display board and the dyer turns off. It will not turn on again unless you plug the dyer for 5 minutes and plug it back in. This is the second unit I’ve purchased of this model with the same issue.

Let's face it, the washing machine is the first review people go to when looking for a new washer/dryer set but this dryer deserves some love. For context, coming from 13 year old Kenmore which was a Whirpool model (same company as Maytag) so when it was time to replace we stuck with what had served us well. Highlights: the automatic cycles work. the clothes come out dry (wasn't the case with our previous older model). Steam is nice as is the wrinkle guard. The dryer seems to actively adjust the time remaining based on sensors and usually ends up drying faster than anticipated. Given it has a steam function you do need an extra kit to connect a water supply to it from the washing machine water connections. Had it about 3 weeks now and happy, would recommend.

The steam function works well for my decorative pillows on my bed and my sofa. I like the fact that I can use manual or pre set drying options. It is very spacious.

This is the best dryer at Best Buy.

Go into the store and read all the labels then read Maytag and know they only put out the truth in bold type. Get the set and if you have a top load expect threes times the productivity. It takes a little longer to do a full cycle of clothes but the results are great with 3x the size load of a top load set. You will not be disappointed. And the sales people are nice and delivered with care! Very Professional. Worth every Penney!

Works great except the placement of lint vent in back doesn't leave workability to connect to outside vent. The vent tubing that was the only available type for this dryer is metal so it forces dryer too far from the wall.

Just like the matching washer this dryer is fantastic. You can dry lots of clothes at once so saves you time and money. Perfect for families.

So far I like the new dryer. I ended up rotating the door. It can be reversed if you completely disable it and switch the hardware (Ie keep the door in the same orientation and switch the hardware Right to Left). The door can't simply be rotated 180°. I ended up stacking them but had to find some rubber squares as the hard plastic leveling feet would slide on the washer below. I just removed the X on one side to make a pocket and so far it has not moved, the X's seem to grip well, and the pocket on the top was easy to cut with a side cutter.

Purchased this dryer in January 2019 to replace my 14 year old Whirlpool Duet dryer. This dryer has option to spray cold water (not steam) on your clothes, and then warm your clothes until the water evaporates. It is like taking a cold shower while standing in front of heating vent and calling it a steam shower. And if you have a small load of clothes, the water spray hits the door and leaks out on to your floor. Regarding dryer design, why is the door 26 inches diameter while the drum opening is only 16 inches? And I still can not figure out which options to use to to get my clothes dry on the first cycle. So I am a little disappointed with this dryer, and I am very disappointed with the companion washer WFW6620HW.

Our dryer bit the dust after 15 years. Repair vs buy, too much to repair for the age. We just replaced the washer 5 months ago & wanted the matched dryer with steam. Shopped everywhere & couldn’t find what we wanted due to COVID-19. Delivery would be August & this is the 1st of June. Wife wasn’t happy. Shopped Best Buy online & drove the 60 miles to Mobile, ordered & had the exact dryer she wanted in 4 days. Best Buy appliance manager was extremely helpful & even personally called me with updates on shipping. I’ve been a long time buyer at Best Buy on electronics etc... They’ve earned my appliance business now as well. Job well done!
